[Blank Scripts AU] The Protagonist and The Narrator.
Also it's so funny how the game is literally just some silly dudes with existentialism and an old guy distracting himself with other things to not think about it then there's whatever these AUs are
I love AUs, Undertale did this to me [but Blank Scripts and Achromatic Loop, other than borrowing concepts and characters, are pretty much original works though aayyeee 👉👉]

[The Road Trip Thread]
-----
Woop woop new trend! (i hope)
I've never started a trend or done an event like this before, however, I do want to do my best in hosting something fun for the community. So, if you have any questions. leave them in tags or replies and I will try to answer them as best as i can!
And, much like what narry says, you are not required to participate! if you miss a day, or an event, or don't have the motivation to do anything up ahead, then thats fine too! This is just meant to be something nice and fun to do. Plus a way to celebrate vacations and road trips bc i love those kinda things and we get to give our tsp goobers a little break, as a treat ksjdhfkjsdfh
really hope to see some people participate, even if its just for one prompt :3
see you all when the itinerary drops! and tysm to everyone in the original post brainstorming this idea that showed an interest in doing this!

mad i couldn't finish this chapter today as if i didn't sit and put down 1.8k words which is way more than i have written in over 2 months.
#texts.#been doing a lot of editing and stuff but no actual new words so this was a nice change of pace.#the problem with TSP is that it isn't narrative prose so a lot of the writing is scripting and the like#so it feels like i'm getting nothing done.

Langoše
Hello @spinfins, the recipe got very long :D hope it's understandable.

Langoše
590g all purpose flour
42g yeast (fresh version) or 21g yeast (dry version)
400ml milk
1tsp of sugar
1tsp of salt
Oil for frying
Toppings: garlic, shredded cheese and ketchup
Okay so langoše are a traditional hungarian food and there are many different recipes, but this is the one that works for me.
First of all you gotta get your yeast ready. I have been made aware that it's tough to get fresh yeast in some parts of the us of a, so I included the measurements for the dry yeast, but I use fresh and have little experience with the dry stuff. But it should work too.
So, warm the milk. It can't be too hot, because that will murder the yeast, it needs to be just warm enough so you could drink it without burning yourself. But don’t drink it! You need it.
Stick the yeast in a bowl and break it into little pieces, then pour some of the milk over it so that it's covered. Give the yeast a tsp of sugar and a tbsp (is this how you abbreviate tablespoon? Looks suspicious) of flour so it can eat and multiply. Put the bowl in a warm place for ten to fifteen minutes. I put it in the microwave (don't turn it on accidentally like I do! That will result in yeast death).
Now, get the rest of the stuff ready, which means getting another bowl and putting in the flour and salt and rest of the milk. Do you have a stand mixer? It's easier if you do, but you can knead the dough by hand, though that's annoying and sticky.
While we're waiting for the yeast to do its thing, I shall inflict my favorite fact about stand mixers upon you. So in czech a stand mixer is called kuchyňský robot, meaning kitchen robot, which I think is more accurate. But that's not the interesting thing. The interesting thing is that the word robot comes from czech word robota, which is an old timey word for work. It first appeared in 1920 in the play R.U.R. by Karel Čapek (a great play btw, there's a script in english on project gutenberg). This is a part of my heritage I'm proud of and will never shut up about.
So now I think the yeast has had enough time to bubble up (if it hasn't bubbled even in twenty minutes it's dead and you need new yeast, sorry about that). Pour it into the rest of the ingredients and knead the dough with your instrument of choice (hands/stand mixer). You might need to add flour as you go. The end result should be a springy and non-sticky ball of dough. Put the thing in a bowl, cover it with a dishcloth and let it sit on the kitchen counter for an hour. Go have a rest, play a videogame, you've earned it.
Did you forget about the dough? I do, every time. So now that it's been an hour it should have approximately doubled in volume. Now for the tricky part. It's kinda hard to describe but I shall attempt. Get a spoon and cut away a palm sized ball of dough. Picture an average palm, possibly like seven centimetres long. Wait. That's too big now that I've written it down. Okay, make a ball that's like 4-5cm in diameter. You'll adjust the size of the next one based on your experience and the size of your frying pan. Got the ball? Now hold it in your hands with your thumbs on top and the rest of your fingers on the underside and start flattening it with your thumbs from the middle outwards. The rest of your fingers should be helping in the flattening endeavor. Once it's gotten a little flat you can start very gently tugging at the edges to spread the thing. Your end result should be a thin flat piece of dough, reminiscent of a tiny pizza. Don't worry about holes, they happen sometimes. You can try sticking the edges of the holes together or just leave them there, but then the toppings might fall through. It has now occured to me that it may be possible to flatten them with a rolling pin, but it feels wrong. You do you though.
Now that you have your first langoš ready, heat up oil in a pan. I use rapeseed oil because it has a high smoke point, but whatever you have is probably fine. There needs to be a layer of oil at least 0,5cm thick in there. This is not a healthy food.
After the oil has heated up, transfer the langoš into the pan by holding onto one edge and gently lowering it into the oil. Try not to let it fold over itself (happens to me all the time and it's a bitch to unstick). Now that it's in the pan the dough will kinda bubble up. I don't like them too bubbly so I slap a spatula on top of the dough and it eventually understands what I mean and stops doing it. Flip over when you see the edges beginning to brown and do the other side.
Now that it's done get it out and let cool a little. I pat them down with a paper towel to remove excess oil, but it's not strictly necessary.
And now toppings! You should have those ready in advance but I'm sure you read the recipe first and then started making the langoše. I make them with garlic, shredded cheese and ketchup, but some people forgo the garlic.
Okay so get I don't know like six cloves of garlic, run them through a garlic press, add a pinch of salt and add a bit of oil and a bit of water. The oil and water should be in equal parts but you need to eyeball it a little. Mix it all up and it should end up a little runny, but not so runny that it would slide of the langoš. Now, spread the garlic mixture on the langoš, sprinkle with shredded cheese (my fave for this is gouda, but it works with whichever hard cheese) and squirt ketchup on top.
And ta da, you made a langoš.

Meet the new narrators!
This is Evandor Maddenlowe of the Pageless Scripts, a Narrator who's Parable has been shattered, and his protagonist lost to time. Though Stanlei didn't escape without leaving Narry with a few reminders.
Ft. @insomniphic 's Narrator from memory.
And of course, Evandor's Stanley, who's name is spelled "Stanlei Oxford". He's a hazard to everything and everyone around him. Cough cough Narry.
Next up, we have Astrophel Orion of the Cosmic Scripts, who doesn't actually have an illustrated Stanley that we can show. He runs his own little portion of the galaxy, having been placed there by a being unknown after meeting a fate that settled him in this afterlife.
He's also not very nice, and him and his Stanely combat each other practically every day. As most Narries and Stanleys do.
We wanted to have a little fun and create TSP content outside of The Bootleg Parable. We hope that you like them! We might put out more lore of them soon, who knows.

✨Short TSP Drabble✨
I wanted to write Stanley and Narrators first real interaction so I quickly typed this up. I don’t think I’ll write more of this soon so I wanted to get it out.
I’ll post it to Ao3 eventually but for now
I hope you like this!!
————————————————
Those beautiful blue skies stretched far into the distance.
Stanley used to feel like anything was possible looking out into this world, but as the same script rambled on above him, he couldn’t help but tire of it all. He wanted something new and exciting. That’s all he really needed! Just a good change of pace.
Stanley tried to will his hands to move.
“And Stanley was…”
Stanley pointed towards his nose twisting his hand then flicked his hand away in a lazy manner.
“EXCUSE ME???”
Stanley jumped.
This was the first time the narrator had actually responded to anything he’d done. Of course, the script could fool him sometimes into thinking that someone was actually speaking to him, but when it’s the same every time… it’s hard to believe it’s not a bizarre recording.
This was not a part of the script here? What is this?
Stanley stared at the blue sky wondering if this was all a hallucination. Again.
“Oh? Nothing to say for yourself, you ingrate?” He swore he could almost feel the building around him get tenser. The metal creaked beneath his feet. He desperately tried not to faint.
Stanley hesitantly raised both his hands pointing back and forth between himself and the sky (where he assumed the voice was coming from).
“Yes, I’m talking to You, Stanley,” the voice huffed.
[Stanley couldn’t think of what to say. Thankfully the Narrator was voicing his thoughts for him. Part of him assumed that the voice was a recording at some point. Stanley wondered if he should be freaking out more, but he was just surprised! Why the voice hadn’t spoken to him before? Could he alway do this? Surely he’s done way worse than offhandedly saying he was bored…]
“Irritable, sure, you always are, but you have never voiced any of this directly at me. I’m not the one here guilty of not trying to communicate! You never say anything to me!”
That… is probably true… Stanley shrugged.
“I CANT BELIEVE- Hold on, I-“ some papers shuffled and the voice got a little farther away as a chair rolled, “This conversation isn’t over.”
Stanley furrowed his brow waiting for-
THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE EN
Stanley blinked back to reality to see he was sitting in his office once more.
“Okayyy,” the Narrator’s chair sounded like it rolled back over to him, “Now let’s have a chat. You and I. We’ve been working well together for a long time now, despite your issues… Is there something wrong with my story, Stanley? Is there a reason you’re so bored with my life’s work!? I’ll have you know I’ve been working very hard- WILL YOU LISTEN?!”
Stanley stopped pressing buttons on the keyboard to look up.
“I’m really trying to have a serious conversation with you here, Stanley! Face to face!” The lights flickered briefly.
[ He rolled his eyes at the ceiling all smug, “What face?” Stanley laughed to himself. ]
“You’re very funny, Stanley… Is this about you having a default model or nothing at all when it’s Not. Even. Necessary?” The walls shook slightly in irritation.
[“It wasn’t but it definitely is now.” Stanley mused. It was more intended to poke fun at his Narrator for being so elusive for all these years. It’s hard to take a disembodied voice seriously. Although….. Now that he thinks of it, his hands and body do randomly disappear…]
“You’re bothered by my lack of a face?! Seriously?!” The building made a noise like it was about to cave in, “I don’t need one! I’m not even an actual character in the story! I’m the Narrator! I read the script! As a matter of fact, you don’t even need a body or face! It’s not important! This is a first person game with no other players!”
[ “You asked,” Stanley would cross his arms if he felt like he had any right now, “What kind of a writer can’t even take a little bit of constructive criticism?”]
“Fine! Fine! No, I really see how it is! Sure!”
Stanley waited for more. The Narrator loved to talk after all, but he was scarily quiet.
There was a slight ambient noise when Stanley strained his hearing.
Frantic typing. Mouse clicks. Scratching of pens and pencils on paper. Occasionally a mutter or deep breath from the Narrator.
Stanley stared a the ceiling listening to the sounds of him working. It was odd. And yet… Something felt different. He couldn’t explain it but it did. He felt more… there. More present…
“Are you ready to talk, Stanley?” Narrator sounded like it was right above him. Not like the general sense, but literally right above his head. He had a bad feeling.
Then the walls started creaking loudly. Cracks splintered along the ceiling as bright yellow fingers pushed their way in.
He fell off his chair in shock, trying to get away.
The top of his office was easily pulled away like the lid on a can to reveal a big smiling face in a black void.
Stanley’s first thought was that he looked like a giant mouse cursor.
Greying hair swept to the side with a yellow arrow streaked through his hair twisting up like a smile. His skin looked grey as well. His eyes were almost hidden behind a square pair of yellow tinted glasses. A smile stretched across his face. The phrase “tombstone teeth” sprung the Stanley’s mind. He wore a black suit with a highlighter yellow tie that was currently jabbing him in the chest.
Honestly, he looked like an odd abstraction of an older businessman.
“Is this better for you?” This is the most self assured man Stanley had even seen in his life, “As a skilled writer, director, producer, developer, actor, I could go on, I obviously can take some criticism.”
Stanley was pretty sure he had a 50/50 shot of getting killed if he criticized anything right now.
“Obviously, you seem to have… critiques,” Narrator ground his teeth and the arrow in his hair spiked downwards, “Perhaps, it’s time I get back to work… In the meantime, you can do what you like. I’ll take and comments into… consideration…”
Stanley stared at the arrow stabbing into his chest. It didn’t go away. His body felt more permanent.
He smiled up at his bizarre new companion. Well, not new per say but…
Stanley pointed at the abstract man with a smile then cupped his ear.
“I- uh“ he stuttered while turning pink. His tie pulled back to wrap around the Narrator, “Of course I was listening to you, Stanley. I want you to like my game. Besides, it only makes sense to have a proper model for my main character!”
[Stanley could get used to the company. He could feel the smile on his face, “Especially with company as cute as this.”]
“AH! THATS IT!”
The Narrator covered his face, “I think I liked you better when you didn’t talk to me! I’m working! I can’t see you!” He pulled up a stack of papers from somewhere (?) and started to write.
Stanley sat back in his chair.
What a nice change of pace.

I'm just like hhh it's TSP ramble time
Stanley lived through so many different versions of his Parable life that it's so silly. He watched Narrator change the script, reuse lines, get new assets - just how did it feel, going through the 2013 Freedom after 2011 one?
Him deciding to go to the Broom Closet and hearing the addicted line that he hears somewhere else? The way Countdown ending had gotten more buttons? But no lasers?
And then - when he gets to go to the original 2011 mod, hidden in the newer version...
Is it home, Stanley?
Are you happy to be back?
Or do you consider this just another deja vu?
Another reset to go through?

guess who spent an hr fleshing out the lore for my tsp universe (aka what my blog is based off of, and also narry rn)
puttin this under the cut bc its long as fuck n i dont wanna clog up your dash djehfjsjf
(this was written on the bus so im so sorry for any errors skfjs)
#########
Fourth Wall AU
Characters:
The Narrator
Player/Oswin
Stanley
The Adventure Line/Lynne
Plot:
• The Stanley Parable (2013) started off as nothing more than a video game with a basic ai Narrator repeating a script with minor changes every run.
• Eventually, the Narrator gains consciousness but keeps to the game, trapping himself in repetition as opposed to trying to escape
• He has major issues with the endings such as the zending and the confusion ending. While he knows he was purely artificial originally, he prefers to ignore it and believe he is a real being with free will.
• Aside from the Narrator, everything in the game is coded. Stanley is just a vessel for the player, all the objects don't really talk, ad everything is planned, despite what the Narrator believes.
• He remembers every reset. Though not every ending in incredible detail. Endings like the Zending, Confusion, and the Skip Button are vague memories in his head. The skip button being a time-sped up ending and becoming a blur to him that he forgets normally.
• The Narrator knows about the developers, but cannot speak to them.
• All Stanley's input is from the players. The Narrator doesn't know this and just thinks that Stanley either has terrible memory or has vastly different mood swings.
• In the Not Stanley Ending, he realises that the player isnt the Stanley he believes he knows and splits them. Leaving the Player above the two doors room.
• The Narrator, in the HD remake, cant believe that there are real people. He knows of them, but knowing that they are with him in the game will give him an existential crisis/make him distressed, and as a result, reset the game (see: confusion, zending). So the game has a feature where it wipes his memories from the Player unplugging the phone up until they split.
• Things change when Ultra Deluxe comes out.
• The game is revamped completely, The Narrator can feel how smoother the game feels, especially since its running in unity despite it looking exactly like its 2013 version on the source engine (? fact check this)
• One major change is that the Narrator can hear some players as they play the game. Given that they have a working mic and all.
• Surprisingly he doesn't mind it. Enjoying getting reactions from his script despite the fact its real people.
• Ultra Deluxe loses the feature to reset the game if the Narrator gets too upset. Instead, its a plannes forced reset.
• Eventually, he ends up with a player whom he enjoys hearing the responses to. Responding to the Narrator like they were in a conversation as the player rambles. Internally, he's scared to break the fourth wall. Afraid it might spook the player and lose this one shred of genuine connection.
• They continue like this for a while. The narrator subtly changing the delivery of his lines to better suit the players moods. In turn the player responds as usual, without noticing that the Narrators dialogue is changing.
• Its subtle. Being more harsh and boring when they hear the player talking about an exam they should be studying for and not here playing the game so they can leave and do well. Being more soft when theres that all too familiar hurt tone in their voice while they play. Being a bit more snarky when they laugh at everything he says. The player even goes to the starry dome to study, and the Narrator feels like he is hanging out with a friend, knowing that the player would never go into the other room. (They have, once. then never again)
• At some point, the Narrator slips up and responds to something the player says and as while he fears a negative reaction, he gets a surprised gasp followed by a few noises he cant place before a "Is that new Narry dialogue?! lets fucking go!"
• The narrator sighs in relief before chuckling a bit. "Language, dear player."
• The player pauses. Now there is the silence he was afraid of.
• "...Hello?"
• "Hello, Player."
• More silence.
• "This... this isnt prerecorded right? No voice recognition system in the game-?"
• "Prerecorded?! I'll have you know I do all of my voice lines live for you players, thank you." He scoffs, somewhat offended
• "Have you been listening to every players reactions this whole time?!"
• "Well not every player of the Stanley Parable. But right now its just been you that ive been hearing for the past few months."
• "Oh my god you must've heard me talk about your voice so much- im so sorry."
• He laughs, surprisingly genuine. "Nonsense! It's been a delight hearing your responses and your voice, Player-"
• "Oswin." The player says gently, "My name is Oswin, Narrator."
• "...Well, Oswin. To be perfectly honest, I adore hearing your responses to the game and to my script. You are one of the rare few who respond as though we were in conversation and truth be told, its a welcome change to the players who tell me to piss off or talk to themselves."
• They snort. "You mean the youtubers?"
• "Definitely."
• Thus starts A friendship between Oswin and the Narrator
• With this new connection, the Narrator slowly gets used to the idea of sentience and the real world. Feeling more and more human as the friendship helps him understand his world and beyond.
• He gets used to manipulating the game around him. Locking the game to be only on Oswin's computer and being able to interact with him through screens.
• While this happens, the game slowly starts to glitch. Stanley becomes sentient, going through the same dillema the Narrator had, however the Narrator is able to reassure him and help him understand.
• It takes a bit of work, considering that Stanley up until their instance of the game locked onto Oswin's PC had undergone every ending an unfathomable amount of times. With his sentience he has to process the fact that both he and the narrator were trapped in the game with no free will.
• At this time, the Narrator manages to enter the real world. With some help of coding magic and Oswin's powers alowing him to exist in the real world.
• The Adventure Line grows sentient too. However due to the fact that the Line was never fully fleshed out as a character, when it came to the real world, it turned into a teenage girl by the name of Lynne.
• Stanley also enters the real world.
The three of them are able to pop in and out of the Parable. It being treated more like their second home
