Kiss me.
Pairing: college!tyler x f!reader Summary: You meet Tyler at a college party he's hosting, you can't help but feel drawn to each other immediately- or maybe that's the drink talking. Warnings: Drinking, smoking, illegal substances, smut (18+ MDNI), P in V, Intoxicated consent. WC: 2.9k A/N: This is like practically my first written smut, plus I'm a rusty writer so go easy on me.
To say it was hot would be an understatement. Sweat glistened off your body, people colliding next to you in melodic movements only radiated that. You’d been in there for a total of 5 minutes and already felt like you were on the verge of a heatstroke.
The air around you smelt strongly of body odor and the alcohol that radiated on people’s breaths. So strongly you craved a drink as well, but your chatter-box of a friend wouldn’t let you leave her side as she spoke to a person you hadn’t come to know the name of. He was tall, with striking facial features you’d never see on anyone else, arms full with ink as well. Weirdly you wondered how it would feel to stick your finger in his gauged earlobe, maybe that was the current boredom speaking.
Your friend was speaking, but you had it tuned out until your name was mentioned, your head quickly turned to the conversation beside you. Your friend was now towards you “Drinks?” she asked, that one word putting you out of your misery finally. “Please” is all you said in return.
Her older friend signaled you both to follow, you awkwardly shuffled behind them both trying your hardest not to get shoved into. College parties were definitely a little rough, it wasn’t your first but you were definitely more fond of the bigger, less crowded ones. As you walked you took in the house, it wasn’t very big, enough to host this party anyway, but the rooms were still full of people, so I guess it worked out.
When you entered the kitchen, your friend was already leaping towards the mess of random bottles and drinks everywhere, and the gauged guy had already begun pouring drinks for the three of you. When the red solo cup finally was handed to your reach, you pressed it to your lips, gulping down the liquid inside. It wasn’t gross but it hurt to swallow. You squinted your eyes at the taste and he let out a slight chuckle “Good right?” he spoke, sarcastically it seemed, all you could do is give a pressed-lip smile and an awkward raise of your brows.
“So who’s house is this anyway?” your friend ended up asking the guy as she too took a swig from her cup. “A buddy of mine, he should be around here somewhere” he said, shrugging, and as if on cue another man appeared, pushing his way through the crowded kitchen entrance. He was tall, and boyishly cute with a litter of tattoos on his arms as well.
Sporting a pair of black, street-stylish kind of joggers and a gray crewneck that matched the beanie sitting atop his head. You couldn’t help but think he looked familiar, you probably shared a class with the guy. “Josh!” he called, now labeling the man you’ve been standing around for the entire time you’ve been here.
“Tyler, where’ve you been?” Josh asked him, leaning in for one of those weird manly hugs that guys do “Your own party and you can’t even show up on time huh?” He continued, smiling. Tyler looked you and your friend up and down for a short moment, making eye contact with you in the process before replying to his friend “Just a bit of pre-game before I got down here” you could tell he meant smoking beforehand, his eyes were glossy, you studied them for a moment before he spoke again “And who are these ladies?” He asked Josh, smiling at you both.
After Josh’s very quick introduction of you guys you’d gathered the two were very close, and- very cute as their personalities clashed playfully. Tyler- the man now awkwardly standing in front of you as Josh and your friend chatted, seemed sweet. “So, this is your place?” you spoke, breaking the silence between you two, his eyes caught in yours when you asked “Uhh- yeah, well my parent’s really but they’re on a long vacation right now.” He replied, you followed his lips as he spoke, already feeling a bit fuzzy with a refill now in your cup.
“Mmm that’s nice, so you host parties here when they’re away” you said, gazing over his reflective eyes, he reached up to scratch his neck slightly, he was kind-of awkward in a way that peaked your interest “Yeah I mean, it’s definitely one way to make yourself known around here, parties” He replied, shrugging “And That’s what you want? To be ‘known around here’?” you asked, smirking, using your free hand to push a fallen strand of hair out of your face. He chuckled slightly at your words “Doesn’t everyone?” he said, you slightly tilted your head, shrugging at his question.
You both stared at each other, and your surroundings for a few minutes, basking in the music, conversation, and the heated feeling coursing through your body. Your cheeks felt flushed, you even lifted a hand up to feel your skin, it was hot to the touch and he noticed that. “Do you wanna head somewhere else? It’s better upstairs probably- colder I mean” Tyler asked, you hesitated for a moment before replying with a simple “Yeah” and downing the rest of your drink, it stung you for a moment before settling.
He spoke quickly to Josh, a farewell for you both before taking your arm and leading you through the crowd of bodies, not without a few pushes. Heading up the stairs was sorta difficult but his hand kept a steady lead on you as you pushed yourself upwards, feet heavy beneath you.
The hallways were still littered with a few bodies, you even managed to see a sloppy make out session between- not two but three people at the end of the hall, you mumbled a quiet “weird” mindlessly. You weren’t really paying attention to much until he pushed open, what you assumed to be his bedroom door.
The room wasn’t much, at least nothing you could specifically notice in your fuzzy mental state besides the dark gray walls that seemed to match him, you pondered if he was as intoxicated as you were. I guess your thoughts were answered when he slowly sat himself on the ground instead of the bed, or a chair. His eyes weren’t focused on anything in specific but the red tint in them was obvious, especially when he met yours.
You smiled to yourself, settling down on the carpet crisscrossed next to him. “Do you want to uhh- smoke?” He asked, smiling, reaching in his pocket for what seemed to be a cart. “Sure..” you replied. He reached out his arm, handing it to you, and you slowly put it to your lips. You held the smoke in your cheeks for a moment, before inhaling, it scratched at your throat before being let out.
Instantly, you coughed a few times, not the prettiest site that’s for sure. It was a moment before the slight feeling had settled in your mind. His eyes lingered on you before you handed it back, he lifted it to his own lips and you stared blankly at him as he repeated the same process. Watching the smoke slide out from his lips effortlessly ignited a feeling in your chest, it was probably the alcohol making you feel more flustered.
“You come here with anyone besides your friend?” He asked, obviously wanting to ask if you came here with a partner or something, ‘smooth’ you thought sarcastically. “Nope, just us” You smiled “She seems to be very interested in your friend, that Josh guy.” You spoke mindlessly. He nodded, grinning. Paying attention, you noticed his crooked smile for the first time, and lingered on the feeling his features left in your stomach. “Yeah I’ve certainly heard a lot about her from him” you both let out small giggles in the realization both your friends definitely were into each other.
The music boomed from downstairs, reaching the bedroom walls with its volume. It was silent between you two as you relaxed. The pair of you ended up deciding it would be comfier to lay down on the carpet side-by-side as you chatted with one another, staring up at the dimly lit ceiling of his room.
The walls were painted blue after he turned on a small colored light off in the corner of his room, it was less harsh then the original big light’s grasp over the room. You felt like you were someplace else now, more free then the messy crowd of your thoughts usually left you in. You both spoke mindlessly, on random topics that didn’t get you anywhere in the knowing-each-other-very-well department and yet you still felt closer to him at the moment than anyone else in the house.
“How come we’ve never talked to each other before?” he asked, pausing for a moment before continuing “I’ve definitely seen you around” his head was turned towards you, as was yours to him as your bodies sprawled out on the floor. You simply shrugged, glossing your eyes over the position in which you both laid. He hummed slightly in recognition of your response, tracing his fingers on the pocket outline of his joggers.
You bit your lip, chewing on it slightly as your mind was blank besides the occasional thought about the boy next to you. Your head turned towards him, carefully studying the way his chest rose and fell, the slight sigh that exited his lips every few minutes made its way into your ears. You lifted yourself slightly off the floor, enough to scoot yourself slightly over him, now with only your head hovering slightly over his.
His attention was now off the soulless wall and onto you “Hmm?” He hummed, half lidded eyes with tiredness looking up to you. You spoke softly then “Can i?” It was obvious what you were asking, though you had no idea where the burst of boldness came from. It was the moment, peaceful and drunk on the silence between the two of you that caused the tension to rise. He only stared at you for a moment, slightly taken aback before he replied “Yeah”.
It was a ‘why not?’ moment, at least that's what you thought, and assumed he shared that idea. You hovered over him for a moment before leaning forward and placing your lips onto his. It was a chapped kiss, but you could hardly care, with the dryness of your throat it felt good to indulge in someone else’s. The position was awkward, with you slightly on your side and him laying flat down, so you scooted closer, lifting your leg and straddling him on the floor.
The kiss was hardly broken before you dove back into it, clashing your lips with his before the wetness of your tongues got involved. It was teethy just a bit, in a momentarily relaxed humorous way, you couldn’t help but smile into the heated kiss, and his hands snakes their way around your waist. Your shirt was slightly slid up at the moment with you on top of him, and his fingers found their way inside, heating your bare skin with his calloused fingers, you wondered if he’s ever played an instrument with the way his hands ignited your skin as they explored.
You felt it against you now as you slightly grinded on his body, he groaned and bit your lip accidentally “shit- sorry” Is all he mumbled before gliding his tongue over the wound. All you could do is moan in response to his quick actions, it was fast and yet felt so slow. He broke the kiss for a moment, panting as were you. His hands pulled your top slightly before his eyes met yours, as if asking ‘could I?’ with no words at all, you simply guided his hands further to take your top off and discard behind you.
It was clear you both weren’t in the best mind-space to do what you were doing. It was fast, random, and possibly a stupid idea, yet you couldn’t stop and neither could he. It was hot, the air around you, even after going top-less. The clothes-discarding was messy for both of you, sliding his ridiculous beanie off his head and looking up to you for assistance gliding his sweater over his head. He was slightly sitting up at this point, running his hands down your back to unclasp the one item between him and your tits.
He was eager, you could feel it underneath you, even being this close to him sent waves of pleasure down your spine, your heart tingled with that familiar feeling of warmth, lust mistaken for love. When you reached down to pull down your bottoms he paused “Are you sure- you want to?” he asked, in a breathy voice that made you even more flustered “I’m sure” you replied in a softer voice before sliding your bottoms down your legs awkwardly. In this mist of that he began doing the same.
He leaned upwards again, pressing his nose into your neck “Do you wanna move to the bed?” He spoke slowly, you gave him a quick “Mhm..” before you both stood up, dizzy with arousal and your medicated state of mind. You both stepped on your own discarded clothes before falling onto the bed, your lips entwined as you did so. He was on top of you now, both of you left in nothing but the lower part of your underwear.
He pressed sloppy kisses to your chin, leading down into your neck and you moaned “Tyler..” saying his name felt so dirty, he was after all practically a stranger you’d just met, you felt dirty, but in a way you liked how the spur of the moment made you feel. It was erotic how he pressed his lips to your chest, cupping one of your breasts with his hand while the other one made its way down to the band of your underwear slightly tugging on it before sliding it down your bare legs.
You panted underneath him, blinking slowly, batting your eyelashes at him as he tugged his own boxers down his legs, tossing them off the bed. You guided your eyes down his length before kissing him tightly again. His rough fingers found their way to your folds gliding them in place, you moaned a breathy moan, mouth gaped open. “s-shit” he said, noticing how your arousal was already wet to the touch.
He stopped his fingers for a moment, lowering himself down your body slightly. You watched through half-lidded eyes as he stroked his dick a few times before positioning it between your folds. He kissed you, hard and slid into the warmth of your cunt, losing his breath in the process. “Fuck” he groaned into your mouth, you could only whine into his, sliding your fingers up his neck to tussle his hair between them. It took him a moment to fully insert himself into you, but once he did he slowly started rocking himself against you.
Your bodies grinded into one mess, his cock pumping in and out of you, you swore if you put a hand to your stomach you might be able to feel him inside of you. The feeling of arousal not only flooded your mind but you could feel it coating his dick as he pushed in and out of you. Your eyes were shut, basking in the lustful emotions that coursed throughout your body. Your skin was sweaty to the touch, and so was his.
You followed the tattoos on his arm up to his bicep, grabbing it when he picked up the pace. The erotic noises that left your mouth would put sober you to shame but right now you could give less of a shit. The music was loud, you hoped it was loud enough to drown out the slapping of skin between you both. As he pumped himself in and out of you, you reached a hand down to rub your clit softly, only increasing the pleasure.
He leaned into your neck again, breath hot against you, you shivered. Whining and moaning as he sucked on your supple skin, leaving marks that you were sure you’d need a shit ton of color corrector and concealer for in the morning. You felt you were coming to an end, the heat in your stomach beginning to come loose. A wave of heat coursed through you before you came crashing down with a loud moan, white poured out of your cunt and onto his dick “Fuuuck me, you’re so perfect” He spoke up finally, still thrusting he rode out your high, reaching his own in the process.
His features squinted, eyebrows raised in ecstasy. He pulled out of you quickly before he gave out, giving his own dick a few strokes before spurting his seed onto your stomach. The air was heavy with panting between the both of you, and he flopped over to the other side of the bed. At this point you barely felt the drunk of alcohol anymore, just exhausted and still high, wiping beads of sweat off your forehead.
“We should do this- again sometime” he said, chuckling softly, all you could do is snort at his boldness, leaning over to kiss him again. “Mind if I stay the night?” you asked, he only smiled at you before pulling the covers over you both, which smelt strongly of you both now.

cherry pt.2 tyler joseph
famous!reader x tyler joseph from twenty one pilots
summary: tyler out himself in front of a whole stadium about being in live with you.
a/n: sorry about taking so long omg, I'm doing my professional internship to be an english teacher and don't have time off, but here is the second and last part! thanks for the support and I'm going to try writting more! xoxo

the lights on the stadium suddenly went out, making your heart jump with excitement.
what’s you eta?
a scream left your mouth along with thousands of other people, everyone look like they were having the best day of their lives. this was the first time at a proper twenty one pilots concert, besides festivals, invited personally by the tyler joseph.
yes, personally.
after the whole fanfic situation and talking for a few days, both of you decided to go out to a small coffee shop for breakfast.
tyler was there a few minutes early than accorded, looking outside of the window every two minutes waiting for you to come in, which you did after 10 minutes, just in time.
your eyes immediately went to tyler, who was standing up looking at you, a huge smile adorning your face, walking quickly in his direction to hug him tightly.
“I can’t believe you are real, oh my god, you are my favorite singer ever, I really mean it, I’ve been listing to you for so long, god” words fall from your mouth without letting the hug end. tyler’s arms stayed around you until you broke the hug. “I’m so sorry, I sound like a crazy fan” you took a step back, feeling your cheeks turning red.
“don’t worry at all, it’s an honor to meet you, josh and I love your music, don’t be embarrassed” his hand running up and down on your arm, sending shivers down your spine “do you want a coffee? my treat.”
that morning turned into an afternoon and that afternoon turned into a night, neither one of you wanted the day to end, tyler invited you to his home studio and showed you some old clips of him screaming in his parents basement, and you invited tyler to your favorite place: your kitchen, where you baked some cookies for him.
once the clock hit 01:00 am, tyler went home after spending almost half an hour saying goodbye, which included tons of hugs and kisses, on the cheek of course.
yourusername let me know when you get home, thanks for today, I had the best time!
tylerrjoseph just arrived, excited for our next date:)

after a couple of casual dates, calls that lasted hours, and meeting josh, which by the way, was more nervewracking than you thought, tyler invited you to the clancy tour in your hometown, leading you to that moment.
the concert started almost an hour ago, the energy was out of this world, everyone, you included, was singing of the top of their lungs, jumping and dancing around. at some point josh waved at you from the stage, making tyler looked at you and smile.
"hello pretty" he said through the microphone, followed by the screams of their fans, "we have one of my favorite people tonight, guys" tyler kept his gaze on you while graving a guitar for the next song "please say hello to yourname, everyone" the cameras pointed at you, showing your flustered face, your hands covering your smile.
"is truly an honor to have you here, at our concert" he said with a high pitch tone, moking what you said previously "in all seriousness, thank you, yourname, I spend the best days with you, you are truly an inspiration to us and to thousands of people"
you felt your eyes getting watery from hearing such pretty words, specially coming from someone you admire and care. you throw kisses with your hands at him, making the crowd even more thrilled about the whole interaction.
"you can give me one of those after the show" tyler said with a smirk, while playing the first cords from paladin strait "sorry guys, I think I'm ovulating or something like that, this is paladin strait."
the concert came to an end, your hands shaking from the adrenalin and anticipation while walking behind a security guard to take you backstage, guiding you through the hallways until letting you in front of a door.
tyler joseph
you knocked, hearing steps getting closer until the person behind it opened the door, showing tyler with some residue of black paint still in his neck and hands, "hello ty" you couldn't finish saying his name.
because he kissed you.
his hands cupped your face while his lips met yours, the kiss was needy, almost desperate, your hand quickly went to his neck, continuing the kiss while entering the dressing room, separating only a few inches, feeling each others heavy breathing.
"so" you kissed tyler's lips a few times, making both of you smile, "ovulating you said?"

liked by yourusername, joshuadun, twentyonepilots, paramore and others.

Silent Earth

Now playing: Silent Earth - Josephine Illingworth they saw the silent earth, and they felt it breathe Pairing: Tyler Joseph x gn!reader CW: none really, fluff, missing him on tour Summary: Mornings with Ty when he's back from tour :( Disclaimer: Reader is always thought to be fat in my stories cause chubby readers aren't loved enough. Reader is not physically described here at all but they're envisioned when I'm writing to be bigger. WC: 1.8k bro TOP has had me in a chokehold since the start of October and I'm just now remembering I can write. Shoutout 11 year old me for being a fan I hope you're proud.
The air in the rising hours felt crisp, and nearly frosty. You’d left the windows open the night before in hopes of welcoming the chill, knowing that you and him both ran hot, and slept better when it was cold inside. October was rolling to a close, and you didn’t know how many nights remained before the snow came and forced your windows shut. He had told you once that he liked the nights so frigid because you relied on him for warmth, finally cool enough beneath the duvet to require his body heat to remain comfortable. You’d practically fuse to him this time of year, overlapping any bear skin that you could, like you were trying to siphon the warmth right from it. He never minded, he looked forward to it. He seemed to reciprocate mindlessly, giggling at the noises of surprise you elicited when he’d roll you onto him before going to sleep or at the sudden draping of his arms over your shoulders whenever you were distracted.
You’d settled into this pocket of domesticity - admittedly - faster than you should have, relying on that routine of sweeping winds and the spirit of Autumn to push you and him closer than you were in the Summertime. Even as he and Josh began their work on Clancy, you hadn’t remembered just how deep the loneliness perforated you when he was touring. Digitally, you were as in the know as possible, with videos of different venues being sent and endless declarations of his ache to be home - to be with you. It was hardly sustainable, both of you feeling the pull back to your shared space no matter where in the world he performed. It was what it was. Both of you knowing intently where your shared roots were planted, doing the best you could to keep them watered from afar. You didn’t sleep as well, he hardly slept at all. Times like these found both of you on call until the early morning, talking about nothing just for the sake of hearing the other. Feeling each other the best you could, metaphorically stretching your arms out as far as possible. The only thing that kept you reaching to close that gap was sheer desperation, pleading for just a moment of interaction.
Both him and Josh had been devastated at the streak of years that went by with no shows. You were sad for them, but the two of you settled into yourselves during that time. Happy and homely in the life you shared, and you couldn’t find a way to be truly saddened at the time you got to spend with him. They’d gone back on tour not too long ago, tossing their finished album into the sea of fans who’d been waiting for years with open jaws. You couldn’t be happier to see him re-enter his element, going to the opening nights they played near you and wishing them well with teary eyes when they’d left Ohio for the next year. Like always, you’d allowed yourself time to wallow. A couple days to process the temporary loss. Your fingers seemed to itch with the desire to pry open your stomach and stuff it full of something fluffy, something to satiate that swirling puddle of dread that burrowed into you when he was gone for so long. It was earnest and hardy, it was a sense of incompleteness. In a way you were grateful for it because of how vibrant it made the reunions. Whenever he came back, it was like your lungs opened up to finally let air back into your body. He touched you, and seemed to simply sap that feeling from your bones.
You could still feel the phantom sensation of that misery fleeing you as you laid next to him. He and Josh were on an off week, back at home for a bit before going back up North to do the next leg of shows. You’d seen him for the first time in months last night, been able to mold yourself to him again, and slept the best you had your whole life. Now, you were awake before him, propped up slightly on the headboard and just looking. Whenever he caught you staring at him, he’d jokingly chastise that you’d turn him to stone if you looked any harder, but you could never help yourself. The tours were always taxing, you’d heard it time again on your calls, but it was different seeing the way he wore it when he came home. His voice was always a tad raspier, shoulders a tad more slumped, and the circles under his eyes begging for sleep that would actually revive him. Not the shaking tour bus beds or the cheap hotels, but the bed that was shared between the two of you. He was the most ethereal sight you’d ever seen. The sun was christening the floorboards, creeping over his bare chest and making his resting face almost glow in the gold of the light. It was nearly angelic, watching the illuminated room rouse him from the well deserved sleep. You were almost sad to watch him be pulled from it, but you missed him like hell, and the thought of losing time to slumber wasn’t one you liked.
You meant to greet him good morning as he woke up, felt it bubble up in your throat, even. You’d heard those slight groans of returning consciousness, though, and watched him stretch and fully open his eyes, and simply couldn’t force it out. The warmth that pooled in your stomach at feeling so fully at home after being deprived of it reached up and yanked the words back down before you could say them. You were so captivated by his very existence, that you only smiled slightly, a small upturn of your lips to express the elation pumping through you. He could sense it as he awoke, either the absence of you in his arms or the presence of your eyes on him, and he turned his head toward you. Still lying on the pillow, he rolled over to face you.
He saw your awestruck face, with eyes that were glistening a little with pure adoration and fondness, and he chuckled at the sight. “Good morning.” It was light, and a bit rough both from sleep and residual exertion from tour. It settled silently into the natural ambiance of your still bedroom.
You smiled a bit wider at the sound, laughing breathlessly at the look of amusement on his face. “Sorry. I know I’m staring.” You nudged him with your leg at the reference, his fingers coming up to trace gentle shapes on it as he smiled at your words.
“Mm, you are.” It was a bit snarky, and he kept his hand moving on your leg. “But it’s ok. I actually missed it while I was gone.”
You feigned shock at his words. “Really? I can’t believe what I’m hearing. Not worried I’m going to turn you to stone anymore?”
He laughed, a slight giggle that sounded so at ease you nearly cried from how much you felt the absence of it when he was away. “I don’t think I’d mind it.” You raised your eyebrows in question. “Yeah, I mean - if you turn me to stone, I’d just have to stay here forever, and I already want to do that. No problems here.”
Your face wrinkled in a mix of cringing and laughing at such a cheesy remark so early in the morning. “Wow, that was so smooth.” You remarked, sarcastic and attempting to be deadpan before breaking and chuckling through your response, the man beside you already laughing.
You put your palm on top of the fingers tracing your thigh, opting to hold his hand and caress the back of it with your thumb. “How’d you sleep?”
You saw his other hand travel up to his head, familiarly fidgeting with the strands of his grown out buzz cut. The angle seemed a bit awkward with his head still resting on his pillow, but it was a subconscious habit, and you doubt he even noticed it. “Indescribably good.” He emphasized, dramatic in tone but still holding a sense of sincerity. “I actually slept. I’ve been so used to waking up or not sleeping deep enough. I think I just passed out last night.”
You giggled at that. “You did. I looked over and you were out.”
“Hey, you can’t blame me for that.” He looked down to where you were holding his hand. “I haven’t been home in forever. It’s like the sleep deprivation caught up with me when I saw you were here and ok.”
Your brows furrowed at that. “I get that. But we talk every night, Ty. You know when I’m home.”
“No - I know.” He paused for a moment. “It’s like, consciously I know you’re fine, but when I’m so far away I can’t feel it like I usually can. I worry about it, you know subconsciously. That you’re not ok somehow and I don’t know because I’m not here.” You go to voice your rebuttal, but he continues his explanation. “When I’m home, everything just…falls into place. I know you’re safe, so I don’t have to worry about anything.”
You exhale, heavy and sympathetic. The same anxiety keeps you from sleeping deeply, haunted by thoughts of his bus crashing or someone wanting to hurt him. You don’t know what to say. You decide, instead, to move back down from the headboard and lay against him. Circling his torso with your arms and slotting yourself in his open arms. “You don’t have to worry. I’ll be waiting for you to get home, yeah? Promise.”
He took his now free hand and held your shoulder with it, pressing you tighter against him. Squeezing lightly in acknowledgment of your words. “Can’t promise that, honey.”
You sucked in a breath, lining your words with more sarcasm. “Too bad.” You brought your hand up to his chest, palm flat against it as you dug your chin into the back of it to look him in the eyes. “I’ll always be here, you know? I love you.” No matter how many years you shared with him, the words always felt slightly foreign leaving your mouth. Nerves still lined your stomach at the thought of willingly giving him so much of yourself. You always pushed through, though. The feelings you held were so blinding, and so overwhelming that they practically spilled from your lips anyways. No matter the words you said, they were always flowing steadily over the rim with the love you had for him.
The light in the room reflected off his pupils, the depths of brown in his irises shining with the comfort of being home, the innate correctness of the two of you together. He didn’t know how he’d ever lived without it. “I love you more.”

Hey love your writing! Was wondering if you could do a follow up or the secret relationship Josh x Tyler's!sibling. Maybe with the fans finding out or Josh making a big public display of affection? Something fluffy!
Secret Relationship - SAI!Josh x Fem!Joseph!Reader - Part 2
PART 1
Pairing: Josh Dun x Fem!Joseph!Reader - Tyler's younger sister
Warnings: None - fluffy
Word Count: 1526
It had been a few weeks since Tyler found out about Josh and I. Things had slowly started to get easier and we were finally able to be together in front of those closest to us–not that it stopped Tyler from gagging every time we kissed each other good morning, goodnight, and good luck. We were nearing the end of The Takeover Tour with a few shows in Columbus along with Half Alive and Jay opening for the boys. It was a little surprise to me that Jay knew exactly what was going on between Josh and I. Apparently Josh had popped into frame on our phone calls a little too many times for it to not be ‘obvious’. The energy backstage was buzzing, everyone preparing for the long night ahead. Just as the boys were about to leave for the stage Josh suddenly turned around and strode purposefully back toward me. Before I could even get a word out, he grabbed my hand and pulled me into his chest, holding me tight for a moment. Then, in an impulsive, dramatic gesture, he pulled away, cupped my face in his hands, and kissed me deeply, right there in the middle of all the crew members, techs, and, from the corner of my eye, some fans who had managed to catch a glimpse from a restricted area. It was everything. His lips were soft and sure, and the world around us faded away in that moment. The only thing that mattered was him and the way he was letting the world see, in no uncertain terms, just how much he loved me. When we broke apart, I caught my breath and opened my eyes to see his signature goofy grin back on his face. “Good luck and have fun.” I smiled and squeezed his hand.
“I love you,” he whispered, but loud enough for those nearby to hear.
“Yes we all know!” Tyler shouted from the hallway, “We actually have to go now so if you two are done…” Josh chuckled, squeezing my hand back before leaving for the stage.
Once the two of them were out of sight, I made my way to the side stage with Jenna who was excited to finally be back home. The roar of the crowd sounded through the arena as the lights dimmed, signaling the start of the show. As the opening chords of Good Day rang out, I sat on the floor, watching the sea of lights and faces all focused on the boys. They were in their element, Tyler bouncing around as he sang while Josh drummed in time with the song. It was surreal watching him like this, knowing that even with thousands of people cheering him on, his heart was still mine. Midway through the set, during one of Tyler's usual breaks to talk to the crowd, he wandered over to Josh, grinning mischievously. Josh shot him a quick side-eye, clearly knowing that Tyler was up to something. The crowd quieted a little, hanging on Tyler's every word.
“So, I don’t know if you all have noticed, but there’s been something a little... different with Josh recently,” Tyler said, his voice laced with teasing. The crowd erupted in cheers and laughter, clearly excited to hear what Tyler had to say. Josh, still behind his drum kit, rolled his eyes playfully and shook his head, as if to say, Here we go.
“You see,” Tyler continued, leaning against the mic stand, “he's been kind of—” he paused dramatically, glancing at me backstage with a smirk, “distracted.” The fans screamed, catching onto the direction this was going. Josh, always a good sport, laughed and played along. The crowd laughed as Tyler gave him a playful shove, but there was a warmth in his eyes that showed he was genuinely happy for us. “Alright, alright,” Tyler laughed, taking the mic and grabbing his uke. “This one’s been requested so I guess we’ll play it. You’re welcome Josh.” He rolled his eyes before starting to play one of my favorite covers Tyler had ever done–Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis. God of course he’d set this up. First night back home and he’d already started wanting to show us off. The familiar melody drifted through the arena, sending a wave of emotion over me. Tyler’s voice was soft and sincere as he strummed his ukulele, and I could feel the collective heartbeat of the crowd shift from excitement to something deeper. The lights dimmed even more, leaving a soft glow around Tyler while Josh continued to drum softly in the background, his eyes flicking toward me every now and then.
I could see the emotion in his face—the way his smile tugged at the corners of his mouth, the way his eyes softened. It was a subtle reminder of just how much we meant to each other, even in moments where everything seemed so big, so loud, so overwhelming. I felt Jenna nudge me lightly and when I looked over, she had this knowing smile on her face.
“Josh is a keeper you know, he really loves you,” she whispered with a small laugh. I nodded, trying to suppress my own grin, but it was useless–and she was right. And now, with Tyler doing this, it felt like his way of letting the world into our little bubble. Maybe it was also his way of showing that, despite his relentless teasing, he was excited for us.
The song ended to an eruption of applause, but Tyler wasn’t finished. He turned toward the crowd again, a mischievous glint still in his eyes. “Josh Dun on the drums everybody!” The crowd roared, and Josh threw his drumsticks into the air, catching them with an exaggerated flourish that made everyone laugh. He took a mock bow from behind the kit, playing along with Tyler's bit.
“And,” Tyler added, lowering his voice in that dramatic way of his, “let’s give a round of applause for the real reason he’s been distracted lately.” His gaze shifted to me, and before I could react, the cameras panned toward me, displaying my face on the massive screens overhead. My heart raced as the crowd erupted again, cheering and clapping.
I covered my face in mock embarrassment, but Jenna was laughing beside me, nudging me again as if to say, You knew this was coming. The spotlight flickered toward the side stage where I was standing, and suddenly the whole arena felt like it was focusing on me. I smiled, biting my lip, half-embarrassed, half-overwhelmed by the sheer joy of it all.
Tyler, never missing a beat, winked in my direction. “Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for Josh Dun’s biggest distraction.” He paused as the audience cheered louder. “No, really, give it up for her—she's keeping him grounded. Or at least trying to.”
Josh, who had been chuckling the whole time, shook his head in embarrassment.
As the laughter and applause died down, the show carried on, but I couldn’t help the warmth that stayed with me. Tyler’s playful banter, Josh’s quiet support, and the overwhelming love I felt from both of them made everything feel so... right. This was home.
For the rest of the show, I stayed in that spot by the side stage, watching them perform, feeling proud and deeply content. They went through the rest of their setlist with the same energy they always brought, but there was something more electric tonight—like being back home had given them both an extra surge of life. Every beat, every chord hit harder, resonated deeper.
By the time the final encore came around, the crowd was relentless, refusing to let the night end. Tyler and Josh returned to the stage one last time, sweaty but grinning, and played their hearts out. The final notes of Trees echoed through the venue, the crowd chanting and clapping, their voices blending with Tyler’s as the song built to its climactic finish.
When it was over, Josh and Tyler stood side by side, taking in the moment. Tyler gave his usual speech about gratitude and love for the fans before the boys left the stage and house lights turned on. As the crowd began to disperse, I made my way backstage. Josh, still riding the high from the show, found me almost immediately, pulling me into a tight hug. His skin was warm, his heartbeat still racing from the adrenaline of performing.
“That was... something,” I said, my voice muffled against his chest.
He pulled back, his eyes sparkling with a mix of exhaustion and happiness. “I’m glad you liked it,” he beamed.
“You were amazing,” I replied, holding his warm hand as we walked back to their dressing room.
“You think so?” His voice was teasing, but there was a vulnerability behind his question.
I nodded. “Absolutely.”
Josh leaned down, kissing me softly, the noise of the crew packing up and the distant hum of the fans leaving blending into the background. In that moment, it was just the two of us again.
“Distracted or not,” he murmured against my lips, “I’m right where I want to be.”

Hey, I love your work and I have a request and it’s totally cool if you aren’t comfortable with it.
If possible could you please write a one shot where reader wants Josh or Tyler (your pick) to be rougher or more in charge in the bedroom and they find out by accidentally reading a tumblr fic with that stuff in it. They then get caught reading it but surprise reader later on by doing something related to that. Could you also throw in some degradation… Only if you’re comfortable with it of course.
I hope you have a great day or night depending on when you see this - 🥭
tough love
tyler joseph x fem reader

WC: 3,000+
a/n: hey anon!! thank you so much, i really appreciate that. :) and of course! your wish is my command, i chose to do tyler because i’ve never written for him on here before and i’ve been wanting to. i hope this matched your vision and the levels of roughness you wanted i got a little carried away if you couldn’t tell lmao, thank you for giving me my first request! hope you’re cool with the pov switching, i don’t usually do it but i thought it’d be a nice touch for this plot
warnings: smut, rough sex, strong language, porn without a plot, boundaries aren’t super discussed as tyler finds out about the readers desires a pretty indirect way, oral (m receiving), slight throat fucking, penetration, degradation, he’s a lil mean but in a sexy way, spanking, praise kink, lightly proofread
I cuddle up under the plush of the comforter, a content sigh leaving my lips as I make myself comfortable. The room was dimly lit by the night stand lamp, the air cool, contrasting nicely with the warmth of the blankets. I was alone, waiting for Tyler to come up from the studio. He was working late tonight, when he had an idea come to mind, he always worked until he could execute a flawless basis for it. That was something I had always admired about him. He’s truly passionate about what he does.
But tonight I was lonely, and quite embarrassingly, even a little jealous of the passion he was giving to his music rather than me. I was needy to say the least. I wanted to be in his arms, feel his lips against mine, feel his fingers run down my body… I groan, feeling almost defeated as I open my phone, pressing on the all too familiar icon of Tumblr. Was it so wrong that I occasionally read erotic fanfiction about my husband written by his own fans? Maybe… But it almost felt personalized just for me! It’s like porn, but specifically based around my partner, I didn’t have to feel bad for getting off to it. What can I say, I was a bit of a Tumblr warrior before I met Tyler, some things never change.
I searched up his name, and begrudgingly, added x reader behind it, little did the writers know the reader was his own wife. I scroll through stories, finally coming across one that peaked my interest. It had warning tags for being rough, but surprisingly, it only made me curious enough to want to read more. I read through the start, anticipation flowing through my veins as the tension built up more and more, finally getting to the beginning of the actual smut.
Tyler threads his fingers in your hair, yanking it up to force you to look at him. “I asked you a question you fucking slut.” He says, his face hovering over yours as he punctuated his words with harsh thrusts, making you cry out in pleasure. “I asked how you feel. Use your words.” He demands and you whine pitifully.
“F-fuck I feel so good you’re making me feel so good…”
I feel myself growing wet as I read further and further down, and sigh shakily as I reach my under under the soft cotton of my pajamas shorts, softly circling my clit with my opposite hand as I continue to read. I whine softly, the combination of the story and the feeling overwhelming.
“Did I interrupt something?”
I look up, startled by Tyler's voice, quickly removing my hand and putting my phone face down. He leans off the doorway with an amused smirk and walks towards the bed, the sleeves of his black long sleeve rolled up and his dark hair slightly askew. “You didn’t have to stop!” He chuckles, the bed dipping as he gets in next to me. “I was enjoying the show. What were you looking at that got you so worked up?” he asks with a raised eyebrow.
“Um… I-I’m gonna grab water.” I stutter out, quickly getting out from under the covers and getting up, the wood floorboards slightly chilling my bare feet.
“I can’t get it for yo-“
“No it’s fine!” I answer nervously, continuing down the hall without even looking back. Great, that was smooth. He probably thinks I was doing some crazy shit now. Well, I kind of was. But not that crazy…

Tyler’s Pov
I watch (Y/n) speed walk down the hallway, running my fingers through my hair, my eyebrows threaded together in confusion. Did I do something wrong? I’ve never seen her act like that. I look down at her phone she left behind, face down on the bed. No, I can’t…
The phone sat still, illuminating a soft enticing glow, almost as if to pull me in. Fuck, I have to look. She put it down so fast when I walked in, it had to be connected. I trust her, of course. But what if it’s something bad? There were a million possibilities racing through my mind and I needed to know the actual answer. I sigh, shaking my head as I cave, flipping the phone over to find what looked like some kind of ebook. What was she reading? I scan through the text, and to my suprise, spot my name. Was it just a coincidence? I scroll further down to see descriptions that matched my appearance, tattoos and all. Was she reading fanfiction?… I truly don’t know how I’m supposed to react in a situation like this. She’s admitted to me she used to read fanfiction a while ago, to which I teased her for, but I didn’t know she still did. Nor would I ever guess it would be about me… I pay closer attention, taking in the contents.
“Woah…” I whisper to myself, slightly taken aback by the roughness of it. This wasn’t how I acted in bed with her at all. Sure, it wasn’t always slow and sensual, I often fucked her fast and hard, but I was never rough like this. I always remained caring and gentle, I was always worried about being too rough with her, hurting her. But clearly she wouldn’t mind it at all. I read through a little more of the story, feeling myself starting to get worked up, imagining this scenario with her. Fuck, I never knew she had a side like this, it was unbelievably hot. But how do I show her that I like that side of her?
I hear her footsteps approaching down the hall and quickly put her phone black, turning it off. I lay back, my head rested against my arm. “Hey, if you’re still riled up and need help…” I suggest lowly once she was laying back next to me, and run a finger across her arm as I wait for her to catch on.
“No, it’s ok love…” She starts, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “I’m a little tired, but thank you.” She says, almost sounding guilty. She softly presses her lips against mine and I kiss back gently, holding the side of her face.
“That’s ok. Sleep well, I love you.” I say with a gentle smile as I kiss her forehead. I wish she knew she didn’t have to feel guilty for any of this. Maybe I'd have to find a way to show her.

Your Pov
I groan, putting the heavy bags of groceries down on the counter. It was getting late, hints of pinks in the sky out the window as the sun began to set. Tyler was home, working down in the studio again. I felt bad, I’ve been slightly avoiding him since last night. It was embarrassing to think that he almost caught me reading that story, he’d probably be disgusted with me for reading something like that, especially one that mischaracterized him so much. Even though it wasn’t an accurate take on him, it turned me on more than anything has in a long time.
Of course, I was more than satisfied with our sex life. Tyler was amazing, he knew how to work me in ways no one else could. But he was always caring, which is sweet, but I had started to realize that the opposite would be a huge turn on for me.
The rest of the night was calm. I hung out alone, eating popcorn while watching a stupid drama series on Netflix. I take a sip of my floral tea, the warmth comforting as I snuggle under the sheets. The door creaks open and Tyler walks in, wearing a white tee and black relaxed jeans. God how’d he make such a simple outfit look so good?
“Hey, how did everything go?” I ask with a smile.
“Great, I think I’m really starting to get somewhere with this new song. I missed you though.” He muses, his voice low and raspy, presumably from recording vocals. He leans over the bed, holding himself over me with one arm as he leaned down to kiss me. I hum in contentment, kissing him back. He slowly runs his pointed tongue across my bottom lip, the feeling slightly ticklish, and I part them for him, him entangling his tongue with mine. The kiss slowly gets more heated, our teeth clashing against each other, a small string of drool falling from my lips. I softly moan against him he groans in response. “I need you so bad.” I whisper.
“Then you can have me.” he says casually, pulling back and leaving a space in front of him. “Get on your knees.” He demands, pointing to the ground beneath him, like an owner demanding his dog to behave.
“W-what?” I stutter, taken aback by his sternness. He was never so demanding like this.
“You heard me. I said, get on your knees.” He says, his tone still low, but slowly becoming more harsh. I almost whine as I get off the bed and kneel below him, the floorboards hard beneath me. He looks down, his eyes hooded as he reaches his hand down and runs his calloused thumb over my flushed cheek, slowly moving it down to my lips. I open them and I look up at him as he slides it in, and I wrap my lips around it, sucking. His eyes darken, his gaze almost piercing. He’s never given me an expression like that, looking up and holding his gaze was making my head spin, my panties starting to dampen underneath me.
“You see this?” He starts, and grabs a handful of my hair with his other hand, moving my mouth up and down on his thumb, keeping it deep and moving my head fast. I breathe heavily, whining in surprise. He pulls his hand away and paints my saliva across my cheek while holding eye contact, and I nod in response, catching my breath. “That’s how you’re gonna do it. You’re gonna make me feel good like a good girl.”
“Fuck…” I whine, unable to hold back at the nickname, watching him intently as he undoes his jeans.
“Someone has to fix that dirty mouth of yours.” He scolds, pulling down his boxers to reveal his length, standing hard and leaking against his stomach, my mouth nearly watering at the sight. He guides my head towards it and comply, letting him move me all the way down, my nose pressed against his naval. I hold back a gag as his tip touches the back of my throat, him groaning in response. “Mhmm yeah wrap those pretty lips around me…” He breathes out, my cheeks flushing in embarrassment as I close them around him, starting to move up and down on him. I didn’t know where this side of him was coming from, but I was fucking loving it. Drool spills out of my lips as I keep him deep, him moaning roughly as I suck hard around him. He grabs a fist full of my hair, moving my head up on down on him quicker, I slightly choke in suprise as he starts fucking my throat, using me to reach his high. “You love being my little fuck doll don’t you?” He muses lowly, lost in pleasure.
“Mhmm…” I moan around him, him groaning at the vibration. I sit obediently, my back arched and my lips parted, letting him thrust as hard as he wanted, tears welling up in my eyes as I held back gags. “Fuck I’m gonna cum.” He pants heavily, wincing as he pulls me off to prevent his high, drool spilling out of my mouth and onto my legs. “So messy.” He teases, reaching down to wipe it off. He then kneels down fully and I squeal in surprise as he scoops me into his arms, throwing me onto the bed. He follows, kneeling in front of my open legs. “Strip.” He demands simply as he watches me intently, using the slickness from my mouth to pump himself. I let out a shaky breath as I slowly peel off my shirt, then undo my bra, slightly teasing him. He groans in frustration, crawling over me. “Stop being such a damn tease.” He hisses, ripping my shorts and panties off my legs, throwing them across the room. He quickly rips his own shirt off, nearly tearing it in the process, and fully removes his boxers. I take in his tanned chest, running my fingers over his tattoos. His dick brushes against my stomach as he moves down, adjusting himself, then thrusting hard into me. I cry out at the sudden fullness, his length pressing against my cervix as he slid all the way in. “Yeahh…” He moans in contentment as he bottoms out, me whimpering in response. He wastes no time and starts moving, holding himself above me and building a fast rhythm.
“Tyler…” I moan, my voice high and whiney, my fingernails digging into his back.
“You sound like such a fucking slut, you just love this don’t you? Me fucking you stupid until all you can remember is my name...” He says lowly, holding heavy eye contact with me as I gasp in pleasure at his words. “Use your words and answer me. Do you love it baby?” He coos condescendingly, fucking me harder.
“Ye-yes I love it so m-much.” I reply, my own gasps cutting off my words as he pounded into me.
He leans down, his lips curled into a smile as they pressed against my ear. “Say my fucking name then.” He whispers, the sensation sending tingles down my spine.
“Tyler….” I moan louder, closing my eyes as I lost myself in pleasure.
“No, Look at me.” He tsks, gripping my jaw harshly. I open my eyes, looking up to see his dark expression, his eyes hooded and his lips slightly parted. He breathed heavily, smirking as I complied. “So obedient.” He sighs proudly, running his fingers across my bare chest, kneading my breasts and circling my nipple with his thumb, the sensation combined with his thrusts making my eyes roll back in pleasure. He suddenly pulls back, and I whine loudly from the loss. Just when I was getting close… “Don’t be a brat.” He scolds, flipping me over, pressing my face into the mattress.
“Please fuck me!” I cry, my voice slightly muffled by the pillow, my thighs clenching impatiently around nothing. I moan in surprise when his hand makes contact with my ass, slapping it roughly. “I said don’t be a brat.” He seethes, slamming back into me. I moaned loudly, gripping onto the side of the bed frame as his hips moved me forward. He slams in and out of me, his hips slapping against the plush of my ass, the bed frame hitting the wall with each movement. I look behind me to see his head tilted back, letting out a strangled moan. Fuck he looks good. A burning sensation swirls in my stomach as he hits the spot deep inside me perfectly, over and over again. I pant, moaning uncontrollably as he moves in and out, my wetness dripping down the back of my thighs. I hold my hand over my mouth, my eyes squeezed shut as I tried not to scream in pleasure, him humming proudly as he notices.
“Yeahhh you feel good?”
I stay silent, my mouth slack from pleasure, drool pooling in my hand.
“I asked you a question you slut.” He says, forcibly removing my hand from my mouth, the spit spilling onto the pillow as I moaned roughly. Why did those words sound so… familiar? “Reading nasty stories online about me degrading you, spanking and slapping you…” He says and my heart drops. He fucking knew.
“I-I…” I start, trying to explain myself and he quickly silences me, putting a finger over my lips, then forcing two of them in my mouth.
“You can’t help it. You’re just a needy little whore, you have to get off somehow when I’m not around huh?” He asks soothingly and I nod, whining against his fingers as he keeps up with his thrusts. “I think it’s cute.” He whispers into my ear, his breathing heavy, likely getting closer to his peak. “It was a good way to find out how dirty my girl is. I can’t believe I haven’t done this to you before... You know how much I’ve wanted to bend you over, spank you, make you scream?” He whispers and I shake my head in response, letting out a shaky breath against his fingers, almost cumming from his words alone, getting closer and closer.
“I’m gonna cum…” I whine, my words muffled by his fingers.
He wraps his hand under my stomach at this, keeping me in place, keeping himself almost painfully deep inside, thrusting quickly. “Cum for me like a good girl, milk my fuckin’ dick.” He moans shakily, starting to lose his composure. I whimper at his words, moaning loudly into the pillow as I came, my fingernails digging into the bed as I tightened around him.
“Fuck baby…” Tyler gasps, shooting into me, thrusting through his high with groans and heavy breaths, finally slowing his pace. We both whine at the loss when he pulls out, him flopping down next to me, pulling me into his chest. The two of us pant, trying to catch our breaths as I snuggled into him.
“You ok love?” He asks breathily.
“Yeah, I am.” I smile, a feeling of remorse swirling in my stomach at the fact he discovered my reading habits.
Once both of our breathing finally slowed, I looked up at him, my chin resting on my arm that was sprawled across his chest. “Hey Tyler?”
“Yeah?” He looks down quickly, holding my face gently.
“I’m sorry about the stuff I was reading. I know that was weird of me.” I apologize, biting the inside of my cheek.
“Hey…” He soothes, petting my hair. “Personally, I don’t find it weird. I think it’s hot.” He laughs breathily. I mean, who’s wife is into them enough to the point of reading erotic fanfiction about them online?” He jokes and I giggle. “I feel like the luckiest guy in the world.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. But from now on if you want me to be any certain way in bed just tell me. I mean look where you indirectly brought us tonight that was fucking amazing.”
“It really was.” I sigh in contentment, kissing him softly.
“I think we’ll have to do that again.” He smirks and I laugh, cuddling into him more. “But right now I have to take care of you after that, you wanna get cleaned up?” He asks and I gently nod, the two of us giggling as he picked me up, carrying me to the bathroom to run a bath. I loved seeing his rough side for the first time tonight, but his soft side is something I’ll always appreciate too.

17 - The Key to Hybrids
Part 18
The Hybrids Bright Star
It took me a second to register what was happening when I felt fingers running through my loose hair the next morning. I groaned, rolling over I blinked open my eyes, finding a certain hybrid laying awake beside me in the bed. “Mmmm Nik, what are you doing up this early?”
“Just admiring my favorite songbird.” He sent me a bright grin showing off the light dimples he had but only when he smiled at me like this.
Shifting myself to lay more upright on the pillows I rested my head against the palm of one of my hands since one elbow was on the pillow. “So what activities do you have planned today?” I asked, trying to ignore the way my heart sped up at his proximity.
“Nothing in particular.” He shrugged his shoulders in response. “Anything come to mind?”
Tagging my finger on my chin thinking for a minute I smirked back at him getting an idea I thought he wouldn’t have ever done. “Horseback riding.”
“I actually learned how to ride a horse as a child.”
Hitting my hands down on the space between us of the bed my voice went high pitched in shock. “Are you serious!”
“I’m a thousand years old, love. There’s not many things that I haven’t done.”
Glaring at the hybrid I debated on rolling his ass into the floor or not. “So there’s not one thing you’ve never done since you became a vampire - uh sorry hybrid. I find that hard to believe.”
He chuckled, a low, rumbling sound that vibrated through me. “Alright, perhaps a few things. The world is ever-changing, after all. But horseback riding? Child’s play.”
“Okay, Mr. I’ve-Done-It-All-Before. Let’s put that to the test. We go to the stables, and we see just how good you really are.” The stables near the compound in Chicago were actually quite nice. Seemed Elijah had gotten stables built for ‘historical preservation’ reasons.
He raised an eyebrow, a challenge sparking in his eyes. “Is that a dare, Hallie Cassidy?”
“Maybe,” I teased, already planning my outfit. “Are you scared?”
“Scared? Darling, I am Klaus Mikaelson. Fear is a luxury I rarely afford myself.”
“Right, right. Of course.” I rolled my eyes, swinging my legs out of bed. “Well, let’s go prove it. I’ll even let you pick the horses. Just try not to pick one that’s been snacking on vervain.”
He followed me out of the bedroom, still chuckling. "You're incorrigible, you know that?"
"Takes one to know one, Nik."
Just as we were about to head out the door, his phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID and frowned. "Rebekah. What could she possibly want?" He answered the phone, holding it to his ear. "Speak, sister."
I watched as his expression shifted from amusement to something darker, more guarded. He listened intently, his jaw tightening. "Gloria found my necklace on some dumb teenage girl who apparently is the doppelgänger that you supposedly killed." He repeated, his voice laced with a dangerous undertone.
My heart sank. Doppelgänger, necklace, Gloria… it all pointed to trouble. Serious trouble. He listened for a few more moments, then hung up, his eyes meeting mine. They were filled with a mixture of anger and something that looked like… fear?
“Well, that was pleasant.” Klaus said sarcastically. “Looks like our little horseback riding adventure will have to wait. We’re going to Mystic Falls.”
“Mystic Falls?” I asked, my stomach twisting with dread. That name was synonymous with supernatural drama and death. “Why?”
“Apparently, someone’s been playing with fire, and we need to put it out before it burns us all.” He turned to me, his voice hardening. “Rebekah lost her necklace. Gloria, found it on some teenage girl. A teenage girl who happens to be the doppelgänger. The one I supposedly killed.”
“But… you did kill her, right?” I asked hesitantly. I knew about Klaus’s obsession with creating hybrids and the blood of the doppelgänger being needed for the ritual.
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “I thought I did. Clearly, someone has been keeping secrets. And I don’t like secrets, Hallie. Especially when they involve doppelgängers and meddling witches.”
He paused, his gaze intense. “I need to know what’s going on in Mystic Falls. And I need to know now.”
“So, what, we just pack up and leave?” I asked, a little overwhelmed. I was still trying to wrap my head around the whole witch thing, and now I was being dragged into a centuries-old vampire feud.
“Not ‘we,’ love. I. Rebekah and I are going. You’re staying here.”
My jaw dropped. “What? No way! You’re not leaving me behind. Not when there’s a doppelgänger running around and who knows what else.”
“Hallie, this is not a field trip. This is dangerous. I won’t risk you getting hurt.”
“I can handle myself, Nik. I’m a witch, remember? A siphon witch. I can take care of myself.” I crossed my arms, refusing to back down.
“A newbie siphoning witch. You haven’t mastered one spell correctly yet without help from me or Gloria.” He stared at me, his expression unyielding. “I said no, Hallie. That’s final.”
“Oh, really?” I smirked, tapping into my magic. I focused on the door, envisioning it locked. “Accio door!” I whispered, channeling my energy by holding the Ruby necklace around my neck. The door slammed shut with a loud bang, the lock clicking into place.
Klaus’s eyes widened in surprise. He tried the handle, but it wouldn’t budge. “Hallie, what did you do?”
“I’m coming with you,” I said, my voice firm. “Whether you like it or not.”
He glared at me, but I could see a hint of grudging admiration in his eyes. “You are the most infuriating, stubborn woman I have ever met.”
“And you’re the most charming, but you’re stuck with me,” I said with a wink. “Now, are we going to Mystic Falls or what?”
He sighed again, a sound of defeat. “Fine. But you stay close to me. And you do exactly as I say. Understood?”
“Understood,” I said, a grin spreading across my face. “Now, let’s go find this doppelgänger.”
Within a few hours, we were packed and in the car, heading towards Mystic Falls. Rebekah was already there, scouting things out. The drive was tense, filled with unspoken anxieties. I couldn’t shake the feeling that we were walking into a trap. As we crossed the Mystic Falls town line, a shiver ran down my spine. The air felt different here, charged with a strange energy. This town was steeped in supernatural history, a breeding ground for vampires, werewolves, and witches. And now, it was my new battleground.
We found Rebekah at the local Grill, nursing a drink and looking less than pleased. “Took you long enough,” she snapped as we approached. “I hate this town. It’s so… provincial.”
“Did you find her?” Klaus asked, ignoring her complaints.
Rebekah shifted her gaze between me and her brother. “She’s at the high school with some friends. Doing something called a prank night.”
The smell of Mystic Falls High stung my nostrils, a stark contrast to the sweet, slightly hay-like scent of my guitar case. I clutched the worn leather strap tighter, the familiar feel usually a source of comfort, but today it offered little solace. Witchcraft, vampires, hybrids…it was all too much, too fast. The air in the hallway crackled with tension. Elena, and Bonnie stood facing Klaus, his expression a chilling blend of amusement and menace. Rebekah lounged nearby, a predatory gleam in her eyes. "I assume you're the reason Elena's still walking around alive?" Klaus drawled, his gaze fixed on Bonnie.
"That's right. If you want to blame someone, blame me," Bonnie retorted, her voice surprisingly steady.
"Oh, there's no need for blame, love. Just your witchy interference seems to have caused some undesirable side effects. And since you caused the problem, I'm going to have you find the fix."
The click of Rebekah's heels announced her arrival after she had left a second ago for some reason, now dragging a struggling Tyler Lockwood behind her.
"Get off of me!" Tyler yelled, his voice muffled.
"Hush now," Rebekah hissed, shoving him towards Klaus.
"I'd like you all to meet my sister Rebekah. Word of warning… She can be quite mean," Klaus announced, a cruel smile twisting his lips.
"Don't be an ass," Rebekah snapped, shoving Tyler into Klaus' arms.
"Leave him alone!" Elena pleaded, her voice laced with desperation.
Klaus ignored her, his eyes gleaming with a possessive hunger. "I'm going to make this very simple… Every time I attempt to turn a werewolf into a vampire hybrid, they die during the transition. It's quite horrible, actually." He punctuated his words by sinking his teeth into his wrist, the metallic scent of blood filling the air. He forced Tyler to drink, the boy gagging and struggling, his eyes wide with terror.
My stomach churned. I knew, intellectually, that vampires existed. I’d even seen Klaus compel people, manipulate them like puppets. But witnessing this, this casual act of violence, was something else entirely. "I need you to find a way to save my hybrids, Bonnie. And for Tyler's sake… You better hurry."
The casual cruelty in his voice, the complete disregard for Tyler's life, sent a shiver down my spine. "Klaus, what the hell?" I blurted out before I could stop myself. The words felt weak, pathetic, against the backdrop of his power. "He's a person. You can't just…"
Klaus turned to me, his eyes softening ever so slightly. "Hallie," he said my name like a caress, "This is merely…expedient. A means to an end. You, of all people, should understand the need for such measures."
My jaw tightened. He was right. I wanted to understand his reasoning. But I couldn’t bring myself to excuse it. The man's mind worked in mysterious ways. Before I could respond, Rebekah’s fury erupted. She stormed towards Elena. "Where is it?! Where's my necklace?"
"What are you talking about?" Klaus asked, his focus shifting to his sister.
"She has my necklace. Look!" Rebekah shoved a phone in his face, displaying a photo.
"Well, well. More lies," Klaus said, his tone laced with annoyance.
"Where…is it?" Rebekah snarled at Elena.
"I don't have it anymore," Elena insisted.
"You're lying!" Rebekah’s face contorted with rage, her fangs descending. She lunged, sinking her teeth into Elena’s neck.
Klaus intervened, yanking Rebekah away. In the process, his hand connected with Elena’s face, the sound of the slap echoing through the hallway.
"Knock it off!" he roared, his control momentarily slipping.
"Make her tell me where it is, Nik!" Rebekah demanded.
Klaus turned to Elena, his expression unreadable. "Where's the necklace, sweetheart? Be honest."
"I'm telling the truth. Katherine stole it," Elena insisted, her hand clutching her neck.
"Katerina. Of course. Well, that's unfortunate. If we had the necklace it would make things a whole lot easier for your witch, but since we're doing this the hard way, let's put a clock on it, shall we?" He gestured, and a digital clock appeared on the whiteboard, the numbers flashing ominously. "20 minutes. If Bonnie hasn't found a solution by then, I want you to feed again. Only this time, I want you to feed on Elena. You know you want to."
"No, Klaus! Don't do this to him!" Elena pleaded, her voice cracking.
"No one leaves. If she tries to run, fracture her spine," Klaus instructed, his gaze sweeping over the room.
The casual threat, the blatant disregard for human life, the chilling realization that Klaus considered me – me – an ally in this twisted game…it was all too much. I couldn't breathe. I had to get out. Without a word, I turned and fled, my guitar case banging against my leg.
"Hallie?" I heard Klaus call after me, his voice laced with surprise.
I raised my hand, palm out, stopping him in his tracks. "Stay away from me," I said, the words barely a whisper, but laced with a steel he couldn't ignore. Then I ran, desperate to escape the suffocating atmosphere of Mystic Falls High.
I found myself sprawled on a patch of grass overlooking the town, the gentle breeze doing little to soothe my frayed nerves. I pulled out my guitar, strumming a few chords, the familiar vibration a small comfort. But the music felt hollow, tainted by the darkness I'd just witnessed.
My phone buzzed. A text from Rebekah. "Hospital. Elena."
The air outside the hospital crackled with unspoken tensions. Klaus and Rebekah stood in front of the entrance, their faces illuminated by the harsh fluorescent lights. "So the doppelganger isn't the problem. Her blood is the solution," Rebekah stated, her voice flat.
"Seems so," Klaus replied, his eyes gleaming with triumph.
"How did you know?"
"Well, you know how much the original witch hated me. Do you honestly think I would do anything other than the opposite of what she says?"
"A thousand years in the grave and she's still screwing with you," Rebekah said, a hint of amusement in her voice.
"Well, it makes sense if you think about it from her perspective. It was her failsafe in case I ever broke the hybrid curse. The doppelganger had to die in order for me to become a hybrid, but if she was dead…"
"Then you couldn't use her blood to sire yourself a new species," Rebekah finished, her brow furrowed.
"Leaving me alone for all time."
"Is that what this is about? Your obsession with hybrids. You just don't want to be alone?" She attempted to put the pieces together of what her brother was saying to her.
Klaus’ eyes lost focus for a moment. “What I want is to take my songbird, take my doppelgänger blood, take my hybrid the hell out of this one-pony town. You know, why don't you, uh, why don't you get the truck? I'll get Elena." He started towards the hospital entrance, but my voice stopped him.
"Klaus," I said, my voice trembling slightly. He turned, his expression softening as he saw me.
"There's my girl."
"I… I needed to talk to you," I admitted, my eyes searching his. "About what happened at the school. About Tyler."
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Hallie, you have to understand…"
"No," I interrupted, "You have to understand. I grew up in a trailer park where every other day was a screaming match between drunk adults. So trust me, I understand violence. But that was different. That was…callous. You didn't even blink an eye."
His eyes darkened, a flicker of something unreadable passing through them. "I do what I must, Hallie. For my own survival."
"And what about everyone else's survival?" I challenged, my voice rising slightly. "You talk about family, about loyalty, but all I see is destruction. You see, I never had a good family of my own, so I don’t know anything about loyalty."
He stepped closer, his hand reaching out to cup my cheek. I tensed, instinctively flinching, the memory of my mother’s drunken rages flashing before my eyes. But Klaus’ touch was gentle, feather-light. His thumb stroked my skin, and something shifted inside me. It was the opposite of my mother.
"You don't have to be afraid of me, Hallie," he murmured, his voice low and soothing. "Ever.
"I don't know what to be," I confessed, my voice barely a whisper. "Sometimes, I think I should be terrified of you. And then other times… I almost feel sorry for you. Like I did that night you told me about your childhood. Just like you were when you learned about mine."
He smiled, a rare and genuine smile that reached his eyes. "Perhaps there's a little bit of both," he said, his gaze intense. "Perhaps we're both just broken people, trying to find a way to survive in a world that doesn't understand us."
His words resonated deep within me. Maybe that was it. Maybe that was why I felt so drawn to him, despite the darkness that clung to him like a shroud. We were both survivors, scarred by our pasts, searching for something – anything – to fill the void.
"Maybe," I whispered, my gaze locking with his. "Or maybe we're just kidding ourselves."
The truth was, I felt something for Klaus. Something confusing and dangerous and utterly terrifying. And despite everything, despite the violence, the manipulation, the overwhelming sense that I was playing a game I didn't understand, I didn't want it to stop.
He chuckled softly, his gaze flickering to my lips. “You are something else Hallie Cassidy”

Guess who’s requesting?!! It’s me! Lovely oldiesstationlover11607 🙌
I would absolutely love a fic where Tyler and reader stay up late at night working on a script /treatment for a lore-related music video. As the hour pass by they don’t realize it’s midnight bc they’re having so much fun. Reader is Mark’s sister and is dating Tyler so do with that what you will. I imagine the two of them sprawled across their bed which is covered in paper bc of the amount of small details Tyler shoved into the story as well as both of their computers opened to lore sites and explanation videos bc Tyler keeps forgetting timelines and stuff
Can’t wait to see what you do!!

Late Night Lore
Tyler Joseph x reader
Words : 903
Genre : Fluff
Warning : None
Ahhh thank youu, I love all your imagines so much!! I hope you enjoy this, it's a little short but it's cute. Please keep requesting !! <333
Tyler and I were given the task of re-watching all of the lore furthering music videos and writing the new lore for their upcoming album. Mark had been on my ass all day today to make sure we got it done, so being the good sister I am, I got on it as soon as I could… which happened to be late at night. Since neither of us could remember all the lore, we found as many videos that explained it as we could. While Tyler sat hunched over with his notebook in his lap, writing things down occasionally, I had my laptop and was planning out some story line for the future. Every so often, he would hand me a paper with his hurried writing on it, insisting I add it to the story. “Tyler, how come Josh wasn’t tasked to do this with you?” I asked curiously.
“Because he doesn’t pay attention to all the Clancy lore.” He paused the video to speak but went back because he missed some parts.
“Uh-huh, like you?” I chuckled, “You made all of this stuff up yet you’re watching an explanation.” I shook my head. He looked at me with a sheepish smile.
“It’s been a while, okay?” I rolled my eyes playfully and kissed his cheek. “Plus, I like doing this with you, it’s fun.” He kissed me lightly before going back to his video.
I opened up a website explaining Scaled and Icy’s lore and took some notes on everything. “What was the show you guys did for Dema called again? The live stream one?”
He paused in thought for a moment, “Oh, ‘Good Day Dema’? Hey maybe we can do some throws to that in the new videos, like a prop or a place we were. Write that down please?” I nodded and wrote down the idea.
“And you can add little lore bits in some of the videos that aren’t lore centered. Really mix it up.” He nodded happily and wrote something in his notebook.
“Do you think Mark would be up to make a video for every song on the album? I think it’d be really cool, and when we release it, we show them all on a live stream.” Tyler scratched his head before pulling out his phone to probably text Mark, then went back to his videos. I smiled at him scrunching his brows as he focused. He always looked so cute when he was working on things. “Y/n, if you keep staring at me, we won’t get anything done, you’re making me nervous.” He blushed and sheepishly smiled at me, looking through his lashes. Smiling, I shook my head. “I’m serious, I love you, and I love doing this with you but you know how I get when you stare.”
“Well I can’t help that I’m dating the most attractive lead singer ever.” He jokingly rolled his eyes at me and shook his head.
“Oh puh-lease… I’m also the bassist.” This made me burst out laughing, him joining with me as we laid across the papers on the bed.
Clutching my stomach, I finally got out, “I-I can’t. Oh my gosh, I love you so much.”
“I love you too.” He smiled at me and we both sat up and went back to what we were doing.
Two hours later, we had written up 4 video stories and Tyler mapped out how he wants the shots to be set up. We would run all of this by Mark tomorrow and he’d greenlight it for filming. “Do you think we could have Ned in more of the videos?” I asked quietly, hoping Tyler would say yes.
“You know I love Ned but we can’t put him in every single music video y/n.” He said laughing as I playfully pouted, “Come on, let’s wrap it up for the night, it's,” he paused to check his phone, “holy crap, its 2 in the morning.” My eyes widened as I looked at the time on his phone.
“Jeez, we’ve been at this for 6 hours? Mark better give me a nice birthday present after this.” I stood off the bed and began collecting all of Tyler’s various notes and doodles. As I put them away in a neat pile on the desk, I felt arms wrap around my waist and a head lay on my shoulder.
“I really do appreciate you helping me y/n.” He lightly squeezed my sides and kissed the side of my head. “I love you.”
“I love you too Ty.” I turned and kissed him, holding his jaw. “Let’s go to bed okay? Tomorrow we can let it be Mark's problem.” He nodded and we went to brush our teeth and get ready for bed. After our routine, I snuggled up next to him in bed as he wrapped his arm around me. “Goodnight.” I whispered and closed my eyes.
“Goodnight.” I felt a kiss on my head as I drifted off to sleep.
Bonus!! Some playful banter that happened as they worked
“Wait so, Torchbearer isn’t even real?!”
“No y/n he’s real, he’s spiritually projecting to help guide Clancy.”
“And there’s multiple Neds?”
“Yes, it’s a species. Not just one. You were there when we came up with the idea in the first place”
“Oh… well you’re the one who forgot Trash existed when he’s on the cover of your album.”

What if? (Tyler Joseph x Reader fanfiction)
Hi guys, so this fic is about pregnancy, I hope you enjoy it.
I woke up feeling off. The room was warm and cozy, with Tyler’s arm draped protectively over me, but something in my stomach didn’t feel right. I shifted a little, trying to get comfortable, but it only made it worse. My stomach churned, and a wave of nausea hit me hard.
I sat up quickly, pulling the duvet off me.
“Hmm?” Tyler murmured, his voice raspy from sleep. He stirred but didn’t open his eyes. “What’s wrong?”
“I… I don’t feel so good,” I whispered, already standing.
Before he could respond, I ran to the bathroom, barely making it before throwing up. My knees hit the cold floor, and I gripped the toilet as my whole body shook.
“Y/N?” Tyler’s voice was closer now, still soft but more alert. A second later, he was in the doorway.
I felt his presence before I saw him. He walked in slowly, crouching down beside me. “Hey, what’s going on?”
I shook my head, unable to speak as another wave of nausea hit me.
Tyler stayed quiet, but I felt his hand on my back, rubbing slow circles. When I finally leaned back, breathing heavily, he reached up to flush the toilet and stood up.
“Stay here,” he said. His voice was calm, steady.
I watched as he disappeared for a moment and came back with a glass of water and a small towel. He sat on the floor again, handing me the water first.
“Here. Small sips,” he instructed. His tone left no room for arguing, but there was a gentleness to it that made me listen.
I took the glass with shaky hands, sipping the water slowly. Tyler leaned forward, dabbing my forehead with the towel. It was damp and cool, and it made me relax a little.
“Better?” he asked, tilting his head to study me.
“I think so,” I mumbled, though my body still felt weak.
Tyler stood up, holding out his hand. “Come on. Let’s get you back to bed.”
“I’m fine,” I said, but he raised an eyebrow at me, clearly not buying it.
“Y/N,” he said, his voice firm but still gentle. “Don’t argue with me. You’re going back to bed.”
I sighed, taking his hand as he helped me up. My legs wobbled, and before I could say anything, Tyler’s arm was around my waist, guiding me back to the bedroom.
“Sit,” he said when we got to the bed. I sat on the edge while he grabbed a trash can and placed it next to the bed.
“Just in case,” he said with a small smirk.
I rolled my eyes. “Thanks for the vote of confidence.”
He didn’t laugh. Instead, he crouched in front of me, resting his hands on my knees. “Do you feel dizzy? Or is it just your stomach?”
“Mostly my stomach,” I said. Then I hesitated. “And my chest hurts a little.”
His eyebrows pulled together in concern. “Like, chest pain? Or-“
“No,” I interrupted, my cheeks heating up. “Like… my boobs hurt.”
Tyler’s lips twitched, like he was holding back a laugh. “Hmm.”
“Don’t ‘hmm’ me,” I said, narrowing my eyes at him.
“I’m not saying anything,” he said, standing up. But I caught the small smirk on his face as he turned to grab another blanket from the chair.
“Tyler,” I warned.
He turned back, draping the blanket over my legs. “I’m just thinking,” he said casually
“Thinking about what?” I asked, crossing my arms.
He didn’t answer right away. Instead, he sat down on the edge of the bed, his fingers tapping against his knee. “You’ve been really tired lately too,” he said, almost to himself.
“So?” I said, feeling defensive.
He gave me a pointed look. “So, you’re nauseous, tired, and now this.” He gestured toward my chest.
“It’s probably just hormones or something,” I said quickly. “I’m supposed to get my period soon.”
“When?” he asked, his tone casual but his eyes sharp.
I hesitated. “Um… like, six days ago?”
Tyler’s expression didn’t change, but I noticed the way his body tensed. “Six days?”
“Yeah,” I said, suddenly feeling nervous.
He leaned back slightly, his hand running through his messy hair. “Y/N,” he started, but then stopped himself.
“What?” I asked, my voice quieter now.
He looked at me, his eyes softer than before. “Nothing,” he said after a moment. “I’m not jumping to conclusions.”
“Good,” I said quickly.
“But,” he added, standing up and stretching, “if you’re not feeling better by tomorrow, I’m taking you to see someone.”
I opened my mouth to argue, but he held up a hand. “Don’t. I mean it.”
I sighed, lying back against the pillows. “You’re bossy, you know that?”
Tyler smirked, leaning down to press a kiss to my forehead. “You like it,” he said simply.
I didn’t respond, but the way my heart skipped a beat told me he was right.
…
The room was dim, lit only by a few small lamps. I was half-buried under the blankets, a series playing softly on the TV, but I wasn’t really watching it. My stomach was still aching, and every time I felt slightly better, the nausea came back stronger.
I had called in sick from work because there was no way I could function like this. Tyler had been at the studio all day, and I knew he wouldn’t be home until late. I’d missed him, though. The day had felt like it dragged on forever.
Finally, I heard the front door open, followed by his familiar footsteps. Relief washed over me, even though I still felt like crap.
He walked into the bedroom, and the first thing he did was glance at me with a raised eyebrow.
“Why are you still awake?” he asked, dropping his bag by the door. His hands were in his pockets as he made his way over. “Aren’t you supposed to be sleeping?”
I let out a long sigh. “I can’t sleep. My stomach hurts so much,” I muttered, shifting slightly under the covers.
He sat on the edge of the bed, studying me with a mix of concern and curiosity. “You look… uh, not great,” he said, his lips twitching into a small smirk.
“Thanks,” I replied dryly, but a faint smile tugged at my lips. “I’m just glad you’re home.”
His expression softened as he leaned in and kissed my forehead. “I’m glad I’m home too. But seriously, you need to rest.”
“I’m trying,” I mumbled, but before I could say anything else, I felt my chest tighten. And just like that, the tears came. Big, uncontrollable tears.
Tyler froze for a second, clearly not expecting me to suddenly start crying. “Whoa, hey, hey,” he said softly, his hand landing on my knee. “What’s going on? Why are you crying?”
I glared at him through my tears, the frustration and exhaustion bubbling up all at once. “What do you mean, why are you crying?” I snapped. “I don’t know, Tyler! Maybe because I feel like absolute shit, or because everything sucks, or because…” My voice cracked, and I buried my face in my hands.
He stayed quiet for a moment, and I felt the bed shift as he moved closer. “Okay,” he said finally, his tone light but teasing. “Hormones, I see.”
I looked up, my tears still streaming but now mixed with a sharp glare. “Seriously, Tyler? That’s your response?”
He raised his hands slightly, as if surrendering. “What else am I supposed to say? You’re crying, you’re mad, you’re sad, I’m trying to figure it out here.”
It took a few seconds, but the anger started to fade. I wiped at my face with my sleeve, sniffling. “I don’t even know why I’m so emotional,” I admitted, my voice shaking. “I’ve just been feeling so weird these last few days. And today…” I trailed off, shaking my head. “Today has been the worst.”
Tyler tilted his head, studying me like he was piecing something together. Then he reached into his pocket, pulling something out. “Okay, don’t get mad,” he said cautiously, holding up a small box. “But I bought you something.”
I frowned, trying to see what it was. “What is that?”
He handed it to me, and my stomach dropped when I realized what I was holding. A pregnancy test.
“Tyler…” I started, my voice trailing off as I stared at the box in my hands.
“I’m just saying,” he said quickly, holding his hands up defensively. “It’s worth a shot. I mean, you’ve been feeling weird, your stomach hurts, and you’re, uh… late, right?”
I swallowed hard, my fingers gripping the box tightly. “You think…?”
He shrugged, but his eyes were serious. “I don’t know. But wouldn’t it be better to find out?”
I looked back at the test, my heart racing. “What if it’s… positive?”
Tyler leaned in, his hand brushing mine. “Then we figure it out. Together. Okay?”
The way he said it, calm, steady, but with a hint of excitement, made me feel a little less terrified. I nodded slowly, still staring at the box in my hands.
“Okay,” I whispered.
“Good,” he said, leaning back with a small smile.
I sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the unopened pregnancy test in my hands. My palms were sweaty, and my heart was racing. Tyler stood nearby, leaning casually against the dresser with his arms crossed, but I could tell he wasn’t as calm as he looked.
“Are you seriously just going to stand there?” I asked, looking up at him. My voice was shaky, and I hated how nervous I sounded.
“What do you want me to do? Take the test for you?” he shot back, smirking a little.
I rolled my eyes, though my heart wasn’t in it. “I can’t believe this is happening. We should’ve used condoms, you know.”
Tyler raised an eyebrow, his smirk growing. “Oh, now you’re saying that?”
“I knew this was coming,” I said, shaking my head. “I had a feeling. And you…” I pointed at him accusingly. “You’re too laid-back about everything. This is your fault.”
“My fault?” he repeated, laughing under his breath. “Y/N, correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember you saying no to anything at the time.”
I felt my face heat up. “That’s not the point!”
“No, the point is,” he said, walking over and sitting down next to me, “we’re here now, and we’re dealing with it. Together.” His voice softened as he added, “You don’t have to freak out. It might not even be what we’re thinking.”
I glanced at him, my nerves still buzzing. “You’re too calm about this. It’s freaking me out.”
“Trust me, I’m not as calm as I look,” he admitted, leaning forward with his elbows on his knees. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. “But panicking won’t help, will it?”
I stared at the test again, my stomach twisting into knots. “What if it’s positive, Tyler?”
He didn’t answer right away, and when I glanced at him, I saw something flicker in his expression.
“Then it’s positive,” he said finally, turning to look at me. “And we deal with it. We figure it out. I’m not going anywhere, Y/N. You know that.”
I took a shaky breath, still holding the box tightly. “I’m too young for this. This wasn’t the plan. I… I don’t even know how to be a mom.”
Tyler reached over and took my hand, squeezing it gently. “You don’t have to know everything right now. No one’s ready for this, not really. But you’re not alone, okay? We’ll figure it out together.”
I looked at him, my eyes searching his face for any sign of doubt. But all I saw was him, steady and unshaken, even if I knew deep down he had to be as nervous as I was.
“Why are you smiling?” I blurted out, narrowing my eyes at him.
His lips twitched into a grin. “Because you’re cute when you’re stressed.”
I groaned, pulling my hand away from his. “Tyler, I’m serious!”
“I know, I know,” he said quickly, holding his hands up in surrender. Then, softer: “I’m smiling because… I don’t know. Maybe it’s not the worst thing in the world. Maybe it’s kind of… exciting?”
“Exciting,” I repeated flatly, my stomach doing another nervous flip.
He tilted his head. “Okay, not exciting yet. But it could be. Someday. You just have to trust me.”
I didn’t know what to say to that, so instead, I stood up, clutching the test like it might explode. “I’m going to the bathroom,” I muttered.
“I’ll wait right here,” he said, leaning back on the bed. “Take your time.”
…
I walked back into the room a few minutes later, clutching the test in one hand and a tissue in the other. My face was pale, my hands shaking.
Tyler sat up instantly. “Well?”
“I don’t know yet,” I said quickly. “It’s still processing.” I sat down on the bed, staring at the small plastic stick like it held my entire future.
Tyler reached over, his hand brushing my knee. “Hey. Breathe.”
“I can’t,” I whispered, my voice breaking. “What if it’s positive, Tyler? This wasn’t supposed to happen. We had a plan.”
He nodded slowly. “I know. But plans change.”
I shook my head, biting my lip to keep the tears at bay. “I don’t know if I can do this.”
“You don’t have to do it alone,” he reminded me. His voice was calm but firm, grounding me even as I spiraled. “Look at me, Y/N.”
Reluctantly, I turned my head to meet his gaze.
“You’re stronger than you think,” he said quietly. “And no matter what that test says, we’ll figure it out. I promise.”
The timer on my phone beeped, making me jump.
“Oh god,” I whispered, staring at the test. My hands shook as I reached for it.
Tyler moved closer, his hand resting lightly on my back. “It’s okay. Just look.”
I turned the test over and froze. Two lines.
My breath caught in my throat, and I couldn’t move.
Tyler leaned over, glancing at it. For a moment, he didn’t say anything, but then he let out a soft laugh, almost disbelieving. “Well… I guess we’re doing this.”
“You’re smiling again!” I exclaimed, my voice breaking with panic. “How are you smiling right now?”
He turned to me, his smile fading slightly. “Because it’s real now. And yeah, I’m nervous, but I’m also… kind of happy.”
I shook my head, tears streaming down my face. “Tyler, I’m scared.”
He reached up, brushing a tear off my cheek. “I know. But you don’t have to be scared alone.”
I looked at him, and slowly, his calmness started to seep into me. “You’re really not freaking out?”
“Not even a little,” he lied with a grin, pulling me into his arms. “We’ve got this.”
The silence in the room was heavy, broken only by my shaky breaths. I sat on the bed, the pregnancy test still clutched in my hand, as if letting it go would make everything feel more real. Tyler stood by the dresser, watching me with that maddeningly calm expression that only made me feel more on edge.
“Tyler,” I started, my voice unsteady. “I wanted to get married first. You know that.”
He didn’t say anything, just crossed his arms and tilted his head slightly, waiting for me to continue.
“And you,” I said, pointing at him now, “you wanted to get married first too! We agreed on that. And now… now we’ve gone and messed everything up.”
Tyler raised an eyebrow, the hint of a smirk tugging at his lips. “Messed everything up? I don’t think that’s fair.”
“Tyler, we’ve been so stupid!” I said, my voice rising. “What are my parents going to think? What’s your family going to think? We’ve been together less than two years. I’m four years younger than you, and this wasn’t our plan. We just moved in together, and there’s no room here for a baby!”
I ran a hand through my hair, frustration and panic bubbling to the surface. “I don’t even know what we’re doing!”
Tyler let out a long sigh, walking over to sit beside me. “Actions have consequences,” he said simply, his tone matter-of-fact.
I glared at him, anger flaring. “Seriously, Tyler?”
“And it didn’t sound like you were thinking about consequences,” he added, his eyes glinting with amusement. “Also didn’t feel like it… or taste like it.”
My jaw dropped, and I smacked his arm, my face burning. “Tyler Joseph!”
“Okay, okay!” he said quickly, holding his hands up in mock surrender, though I caught the grin he was trying to hide. “Bad timing. My bad.”
I shook my head, letting out a frustrated groan. “You’re impossible.”
“I’m sorry,” he said, his voice softening as he placed a hand on my knee. “I just… I don’t want you to panic. We’ll figure this out, I promise.”
“What if we can’t?” I whispered, my voice breaking.
“We can,” he said firmly. “But, Y/N, listen. If you don’t want this- if you’re not ready for this… you could just-“
“No,” I said quickly, cutting him off. “No, I want it. I- I’m scared, but I want it.”
I saw the flicker of relief in his eyes, the way his lips twitched into the faintest smile before he tried to mask it.
“You do?” he asked, his voice soft now.
I nodded, swallowing hard. “Yeah. I mean, it’s not like I planned this, but… I can’t imagine not keeping it.”
Tyler leaned back slightly, his shoulders relaxing. “Okay,” he said, his voice steady. “Okay. Then we’re doing this. Together.”
I looked at him, still feeling overwhelmed. “How are you so calm?”
“I’m not,” he admitted, chuckling softly. “But freaking out isn’t going to help. We’ve got time to figure everything out. First step, though…” He glanced around the room. “We need to make some changes around here. Starting with finding a place that actually has room for a baby.”
I couldn’t help but laugh a little, even through my stress. “You make it sound so simple.”
“It’s not simple,” he said, turning to face me fully. “But nothing about this is going to be simple. That doesn’t mean we can’t handle it.”
I sighed, leaning back against the headboard. “I’m still scared.”
“I know,” he said, reaching over to take my hand. “But you’ve got me. And I’ve got you. That’s all we need to start with.”
I glanced at him, my stomach still in knots but my heart feeling a little lighter. “What about my parents?”
Tyler smiled faintly. “We’ll tell them. They might be shocked at first, but they’ll get over it. Your mom loves me, anyway.”
“She loves you now,” I muttered. “Wait until she finds out what we’ve been up to.”
Tyler laughed, shaking his head. “You’re overthinking it. I’ll handle it. Trust me.”
I hesitated before finally nodding. “Okay.”
“Good,” he said, squeezing my hand. “Now, the real question is… how are you feeling about baby names?”
I groaned, rolling my eyes. “Tyler, it’s been five minutes since we found out. Can you let me process?”
He grinned, leaning in to kiss my forehead. “You’ve got plenty of time to process. But I’m just saying, if it’s a boy, I’m lobbying for something cool. Like… Maverick.”
“Maverick?” I repeated, laughing despite myself. “You are not naming our kid Maverick.”
“Well, it’s a work in progress,” he said with a shrug. “But hey, we’ve got time to fight about it.”
…
Tyler was sitting cross-legged on the floor, scribbling in a notebook he’d grabbed from his desk. His face was lit up with excitement, a boyish grin on his face as he sketched out some random shapes. “Okay, hear me out,” he said, holding the notebook up. “What if we do a forest theme for the nursery? Like, trees, animals, maybe some stars on the ceiling.”
I raised an eyebrow, leaning back against the bed. “Stars? In a forest?”
He rolled his eyes. “Yes, stars. For when it’s nighttime. Come on, Y/N, it’s called creativity.”
I laughed softly, shaking my head. “I didn’t realize you were an interior designer now.”
“Not just any interior designer,” he shot back, pointing at me with the pen. “The best. You’re gonna love it. Trust me.”
I couldn’t help but smile at how into it he was. “What about colors?” I asked, playing along. “Are we going all neutral or…”
“Neutral?” Tyler repeated, looking offended. “What are we, boring? No, we’re going bold. Green walls, maybe a little mural with animals. Like a bear. Or a fox. Oh! A wolf.”
I stared at him, fighting back laughter. “A wolf? For a baby’s room?”
“Yeah, why not? Wolves are majestic,” he said with mock seriousness, sitting up straighter. “You know, I’m just gonna handle this. You can be in charge of… I don’t know. Baby clothes or something.”
“Baby clothes,” I repeated, smirking. “Okay, fine. But if I’m picking out clothes, we’re going to the expensive shops. No complaints.”
Tyler groaned, dragging a hand down his face dramatically. “Fine. But only if I can veto anything with too many ruffles.”
“Deal,” I said, grinning.
We were quiet for a moment, Tyler going back to his sketches while I stared at the pregnancy test on the nightstand. My heart suddenly sank again, and a wave of panic rushed over me.
“Shit, Tyler,” I said, my voice trembling. “FUCK.”
He looked up from his notebook, confused. “What’s wrong now?”
“What the hell? I’m pregnant,” I said, my eyes wide as the reality hit me all over again.
Tyler blinked, then tilted his head. “Uh, yeah. We knew that already.”
“No, I mean…” I gestured wildly with my hands. “It’s just hitting me now. Like… oh my god. What are we doing? What am I doing? I’m having a baby? Me?”
Tyler snorted, closing the notebook and setting it aside. “You’re just figuring that out?”
I shot him a glare, smacking his arm lightly. “Don’t laugh! It’s not funny!”
“It’s a little funny,” he said, biting back a smile.
I groaned, covering my face with my hands. “I don’t know how to do this, Tyler. What are my parents going to say? What are your parents going to say? Oh my god, my parents…”
“Hey, stop,” he said firmly, scooting closer to me. “Breathe. We have our own lives now, okay? It’s fine.”
“No, it’s not fine!” I said, looking at him with wide eyes. “They’re so… so Christian, Tyler. You know how they are. They don’t even know we’ve… you know…”
Tyler raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. “They don’t? They probably do. Right? I mean… come on.”
“No, they don’t!” I insisted, feeling my face heat up. “They think I’m perfect and innocent and- ugh, they’re going to be so disappointed.”
Tyler leaned back, crossing his arms. “Y/N, I hate to break it to you, but your parents know you’re not a nun. They’re not that naive.”
“You don’t know them like I do,” I muttered, shaking my head. “I swear, they’ll probably blame you for corrupting me or something.”
He laughed at that, a soft, disbelieving sound. “Me? Corrupting you? I don’t think so. If anything, it’s the other way around.”
I stared at him, my mouth falling open. “Excuse me?”
“You heard me,” he said, smirking. “You’re the one who starts most of the trouble around here. I just… go with the flow.”
“Unbelievable,” I muttered, crossing my arms.
“Relax,” he said, his tone softening. “Your parents will be fine. Shocked, maybe, but fine. And if they’re mad, they can take it up with me. I’ll handle it.”
“How?” I asked, genuinely curious.
“I don’t know,” he admitted with a shrug. “I’ll charm them or something. It’s what I do.”
I couldn’t help but laugh at that, even as my chest still felt tight with anxiety. “You’re ridiculous.”
“And yet, here we are,” he said, leaning in to kiss my forehead. “You’ll feel better after you sleep. I promise.”
…
Tyler was pacing back and forth, his hand rubbing the back of his neck- a telltale sign he was thinking about something.
“Tyler, sit down,” I said, watching him. “You’re making me nervous.”
He paused mid-step, giving me a sheepish smile. “Sorry, just… thinking.”
“About what?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Nothing. Nevermind.” He turned away, pretending to look at the nightstand.
“No, say it,” I insisted, narrowing my eyes.
“It’s nothing!” he said quickly, shaking his head.
“Tyler, say it,” I pressed, leaning forward.
He sighed, running a hand through his hair before finally turning back to me. “Okay, fine. I was just… wondering.”
“About what?” I asked again, my curiosity piqued.
He hesitated, clearly debating whether or not to say it. “From which time do you think this baby is? Like… is it from two weeks ago in the shower or…”
“TYLER!” I cut him off, my cheeks heating up instantly.
“Or,” he continued, ignoring me, “would it be when I came home early and-”
“Tyler, what are you even saying?” I interrupted, throwing a pillow at him.
He ducked, laughing as he caught the pillow. “What? It’s a valid question!”
“No, it’s not!” I said, shaking my head in disbelief.
“I’m just trying to figure out the timeline,” he said, smirking. “You know, for scientific purposes.”
I groaned, burying my face in my hands. “Oh my god, Tyler. Please stop talking.”
He laughed, walking over to sit beside me on the bed. “Okay, okay. I’ll stop.”
“Thank you,” I muttered, still trying to shake off my embarrassment.
We sat in silence for a moment before Tyler reached out to take my hand. His thumb brushed over my knuckles, and when I looked up at him, his expression had softened.
“Y/N,” he said quietly, his voice steady, “it’s going to be okay. We’re having a baby. Our baby. And no matter what your parents say, or how scared we feel right now… it’s going to be amazing.”
I felt a lump form in my throat as his words sank in. “You really think so?”
“I know so,” he said firmly. “Everything always works out, one way or another. We’ve got each other, and that’s all we need to figure the rest out.”
I nodded slowly, his words comforting me in a way I hadn’t expected.
He smiled, leaning over to kiss my forehead. “Come on. Let’s lie down. You need rest.”
I hesitated before finally nodding, letting him guide me to lie down on the bed. As he wrapped his arms around me, I felt a strange sense of calm wash over me.
“We’re going to be okay,” he murmured into my hair.
And for the first time that night, I actually believed him.

cherry pt.1 tyler joseph
famous!reader x tyler joseph from twenty one pilots
summary: you out yourself in front of a whole stadium about you crush on tyler.
a/n: I haven’t found many fics about tyler and I felt like contributing to the cause, xoxo, also, I tried to incorporate instagram posts here to make it more interesting, stealing lana del rey’s discography here btw, promise more in person interaction on part 2. PART 2 HERE.

breathing was difficult at this point, running from one end of the stage to the other, singing and dancing, interacting with fans, trying to make the concert the best experience for them.
“girl, you’re killing it tonight, damn!” carol, your manager, said while taking the sweat off your forehead before the next set.
“killing my lungs, actually” barely any sound coming out of your lips “I’m gonna need a gallon of water after this”
you can hear the screams while the screens showed some visuals to give you time to recover and retouch your makeup.
“hey, what was the name of the singer from that band that you like? I saw on twitter that he is here” red lipstick now adorning your lips, changing the light brown from before.
“I like a lot of bands, carol, any more details to give?” the two of you jogged across the dressing room to the platform that puts you on stage.
“one minute” a voice yelled from a distance.
“the one with the black neck and one with red hair, something about pilots” a comb ran through your hair for the last time before continuing with the show.
“tyler joseph? you have to be kidding, carol!” your head moving fast towards her, screaming loud while securing the in-ear monitor, the same voice from before starting to count down. “now I’m going to faint in front of the guy before meeting him, you know twenty one pilots are my favorite, god!”
“10 seconds, guys”!
“good luck out there, love you” she threw a kiss at you, making you smile while the platform went up, revealing the entire arena full of people.
“oh, hi there” a crew member handed you a guitar for the next song, “so, you know I’m a big fan girl, I tend to cry went I met celebrities from time to time” the first chords of the song cherry played through the speakers, “and someone told me backstage, that my favorite bandito is here”, the arena went crazy as you played the beginning of bandito.
“yeah, I know!” you smiled from ear to ear, seeing how thrilled everyone was “this next song doesn’t have any relationship with twenty one pilots or any of its members, by the way” a subtle laugh from the fans made you smile more, “but in all seriousness, I truly love twenty one pilots, my favorite band ever, and is truly an honor that tyler is here at my concert!” your hands touching your chest and your mouth open, exaggerating your surprise.
“I don’t actually know where he is, but I want you to know that I love you, in a no creepy way obviously” your eyes danced through the thousands of people in front of you “you guys get me, right? normal fan girl things, having their faces as wallpaper, having posters, reading some fanfics maybe” redness covered your face, moving your head side to side, “ignore that, shit, this is cherry”
the concert ended an hour after that, leaving the fans full of memorable moments, and you feeling ecstatic, running backstage to check your phone and rest. laying on the couch with a bottle of water on hand, you scrolled instagram, almost howling while seeing the first photo in your timeline.

“okey, at least he took it with humor, it could be worst, yeah” your own mind tried to calm you, but your heart keep going like you were being chase by a lion.
with trembling fingers, you picked your phone, opening instagram again, reading all the comments, some being positive and very funny, and some saying you were a creep, which was almost true.
the next hour was dedicated to reading comments on instagram and twitter until carol came to take you out of the venue, which usually take two hours, and after refreshing the discovery page on instagram and reposting a few stories from fans on your stories, you decided to check your inbox, a verified account catching your eyes immediately.

Hello bestie! Can I request a fic where reader meets josh and Tyler at a gig and they dance together eventually exchanging numbers and going on a date? I don’t care which member it is lol I need a surprise 😊
HI BESTIE TY FOR MY FIRST REQUEST (I haven’t written fanfic in a very long time so bear with me !!!)
Word count: 904
Warnings: mention of drinking (reader is 21+) nothing else except some fluffy fluff (also I invented this venue in my head lol)
Chance Encounter — Tyler Joseph x Reader
|-/
The sound of the loud music pumping through the venue made you smile as you made your way into your favorite Friday night haunt, The Outsiders.
Even by yourself you always had a good time listening to the local bands that came to play at the venue. You didn’t really know any of the bands playing tonight but you had heard good things from your friends about one called Twenty One Pilots.
Making your way to the bar you got yourself your favorite drink and headed toward the front of the stage, where a captivating all female band played a cover of the song Zombie.
You lost yourself in the music, closing your eyes and letting your body sway to the chorus.
Everything was going great until you felt a random shove from behind, causing your drink to fly out of your hand and spill onto the floor.
Turning abruptly you came face to face with the softest brown eyes apologetically looking at you.
“I am so sorry, my friend and I were just roughhousing- I didn’t mean to bump into you… can I buy you another drink?” He asked, running his hands through his short brown hair.
He was wearing a short sleeved white button up and dark jeans. Casual but he was making it work. You felt yourself blush realizing how cute he was.
“I would like that, thanks.” You smiled.
He reached his hand out to you and you gently took it as he led you back to the bar. Feeling his warm hand in yours sent tingles up your spine.
“I’m Tyler by the way.”
“(Y/N).” You smiled at him as he ordered your drink.
“Now I have to confess it was actually my friend Josh’s crazy idea to bump into you… he saw how I was admiring you as you danced, I’m really embarrassed about it honestly.” He said with a nervous laugh, “but I didn't mean to spill your drink, I swear.”
“I believe you,” you laughed along with him, “sad to waste a perfectly good drink but I think it was for the better.” You said, realizing you were leaning closer and closer to each other as you talked.
“Want to catch the last few songs with me?” He stood up abruptly and reached for your hand again, you let him lead you back to the dance floor in front of the stage.
The band was playing an original song now, and you felt your self confidence building as you sipped your drink and began dancing along to the music with Tyler.
“Do you know any of the bands playing tonight?” He asked, you shook your head. “Not really, I heard some good things about one of the bands, though… twenty one pilots I think they’re called but I haven’t listened to them at all.”
“Oh yeah, you totally should! They rock. I love them!” He smiled brightly at you and your heart beat faster in your chest.
The world around you faded into a blur as you danced together, feeling the electricity between you as his hands found your waist, pulling you closer to him.
His lips brushing your ear as he leaned forward and spoke, “You’re a great dancer,” you smiled and leaned into him, “Only with good company”.
“That was our set, Thankyou all!” The lead singer shouted into the mic playing the last few notes on her guitar.
“I’ll be right back,” Tyler said reluctantly, pulling away from you.
He grabbed his friend from earlier who was talking animatedly nearby surrounded by several women and disappeared into the crowd.
“I really hope he actually comes back” you said to yourself with a sigh, thinking about how much you enjoyed talking and dancing with him. You’d never felt an instant connection with anyone like that before.
“Next up is our headlining band, Twenty One Pilots!” They announced, beckoning them onto the stage.
You looked around trying to find Tyler, hoping he would be back to watch the next set with you, but your eyes locked on a familiar figure on the stage.
It was him!
You felt your heart in your throat as you realized the guy you’d been flirting with all night was the lead singer of the band your friends told you about.
He started to sing and his eyes locked onto yours in the crowd, smiling at you.
“Oh my god, I’m so embarrassed I said I had no idea who they were!” You wanted to run into the corner and hide, but you resisted the urge.
Throughout the entire set Tyler’s eyes found you several times, and each time you felt your heart flutter. You glued yourself to your spot in front of the stage as the crowd filled out behind you, dancing and singing to the music.
You stood mesmerized as he sang, impressed by him and his friend Josh’s fantastic drumming. At the end of the setlist the crowd roared with cheers as Tyler took the mic one last time.
“Thankyou everyone! We’re Twenty One Pilots! And I have just one more quick thing…” Tyler’s eyes found yours again in the crowd , “(Y/N) I know we just met but I really want to take you out on a date. Will you go out with me?” He reached his hand out for you and pulled you onto the stage and you fell into his arms where they wrapped around your waist.
“Yes of course I will, Tyler!” The crowd erupted in whoops and cheers.
——
I hope you all enjoyed my first Tyler moment it’s short but since I haven’t written in so long I needed to dip my toes in. lol. Requests are open for anything ! Fluff, smut, Angst, for both boys!! Love yall ‼️🥰 (also is the formatting weird I wrote and posted this with my phone lol)

Hello. It’s me, anonymous (yes. I am the person who submitted the torchbearer request. That was amazing by the way! You’re an amazing writer!).
I feel bad asking for another TØP one shot (another Josh one on top of that), but I was wondering if you could do a fluffy one where Josh teaches the reader to play the drums a little bit everyday after soundcheck for the Clancy tour, but they don’t tell Tyler (no reason. They just want to mess with him). You can end it however you want, but I think it would be cute Tyler accidentally interrupts a cute moment Josh and the reader are having.
You don’t have to follow this exactly (or at all), I just think it’s cute. Only if you want to of course.
Drum lessons - Josh Dun x Reader
Pairing: Josh Dun x Reader
Warnings: None! Super fluffy <3
A/N: Dude I love tøp and have been waiting for someone to just throw requests my way so NEVER feel bad for requesting tøp. They’re my main fandom anyways and no one has been requesting them so ily 🤟 I'd love to assign you an anon emoji so I know who my anons are so let me know which one you want next time you request. And keep requesting! I write for both Josh and Tyler (and I love Josh a lot so keep them coming!)

I couldn’t tell you how many times I’d watched Josh play drums and wondered how on earth he managed to get each of his limbs to move at different speeds. I’d played guitar before, and I understood how piano worked, but drums just left me clueless. The boys had been practising for the Clancy tour for a few days, and it was the last day before we travelled to Denver. Tyler had gone to get changed and shower before driving home, but Josh and I stayed behind to talk to Mark and film some stuff. The red drum kit sat alone on the stage. I stared at it before sitting behind it and holding the sticks.
“Look at you!” Josh laughed. I smiled brightly at him. “Well if you’re gonna be behind the kit at least play me something.” I hit the snare, kick, and cymbals making a loud (and awful) sound. I burst out laughing, knowing it sounded terrible yet I was thoroughly enjoying myself.
“I should replace you as the drummer shouldn’t I?” I grinned. He walked up behind me, holding me in a backwards hug. Pressing his lips to my cheek, he whispered “Not quite.” I looked around to see the crew were all gone. “I could teach you though.” He had to be joking. Yeah, I could play guitar and was interested in what Josh did, but he was crazy to think I had the coordination even to play something basic.
“Haha funny,” I smirked, putting the sticks down and getting up.
“No, seriously,” he followed quickly behind me as I grabbed my stuff and headed to our car. “It would be something cool for us to do together on tour. Tyler normally leaves after soundcheck to hang with Jenna and the kids. We’d have time.” He was right. I really did want to learn to play drums; they’d always fascinated me. “Come on… it would be fun,” Josh enticed, getting into the car.
“Yeah, okay,” I nodded, “let’s do it.”
The first ‘session’ was a disaster. He’d attempted to get me to do a ‘basic’ drum beat he called some complicated name I’d forgotten the name of by the time I sat down.
“No, no, like this.” He hit one of the drums before stopping to let me try. I’d just stayed to get it before we were told to get off stage. “You’ll get it next time y/n, trust me,” Josh reached for my hand and led me down the halls of the venue.
“Why don’t we just choose a pilots’ song and you teach me that? Surely there’s an easy one?” I asked. He perked up in excitement.
“Yeah, that’s a great idea. Routines isn’t too hard, we could even get out up on stage once you get it down,” he smiled. There was no way on earth that would ever happen.
“Sure Josh, sure,” I rolled my eyes.
A few sessions later I was starting to get the handle of it. Josh would play the track on his phone and tell me which drums to hit and when until I remembered what to do.
“Kick, snare, kick, kick, kick, snare. Oh, and remember to keep hitting the high hat the whole time.” I continued to play the song while Josh air drummed and Tyler’s voice played in the background. “Yes! There you go!” I flashed him a smile as I hit the last drumbeat in the song. Josh snuck up behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist and pressing his lips to mine. I kissed him back, cupping his jaw and smiling into the kiss. Josh’s baseball cap brushed against my forehead as we pulled away. I pull it off him and put it on backwards, just like him.
“Drums are actually kinda fun.”
“Of course they are. I told you, you could do it,” he still held me close in his arms, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” I brushed one of his loose curls out of his face, wondering how lucky I was to have him. He turned his head into my hand, pressing his lips to my palm. “You’re my favourite person.” The curtains backstage ruffled as Tyler stepped out onto the stage.
“Josh you’re still practicing? I thought we finished soundcheck,” he shouted, running across the venue to the B-stage drum island. “We already did Routines.” Tyler was dressed in his first tour outfit, holding the Clancy mask in his hand. Josh rested his head in the crook of my neck as he looked at Tyler. “Oh shoot, sorry,” Tyler smiled awkwardly, realizing the position we were in, “I didn’t realise you were uh… what was it you were doing?” I waited for Josh to say something, but he stayed quiet. Tyler waited patiently for either of us to answer the question. “Wait, was y/n playing?” A more confident smile spread across his face. Josh sat up and nodded eagerly at Tyler.
“Yep, I taught her the song, she’s amazing isn’t she?”
“Yeah, I genuinely thought you were Josh with that hat and the drumming over the speakers,” Tyler said, sitting down on the b-stage just next to the drum kit. “You know, it would be cool to have you on stage together playing.” I knew this was coming. I could practically feel the smirk grow on Josh’s face. “And I’m guessing he’s already tried to convince you. I’m sure we can set that up, the fans would go crazy,” he rested his head on his hands, staring up at the roof of the venue. I placed the drumsticks back into their storage cup before getting up from the kit and sitting in front of Josh on the floor. He nudged me, trying to bring my attention to the idea of playing on stage.
“I-uh… I don’t think it’s for me, you know. You guys perform in front of massive crowds and given that it took me 3 weeks to talk to Josh after we properly met, my anxiety could never,” I pulled at the sleeves of my sweater nervously.
Tyler smiled at me, knowingly, “I get it, it takes a lot to perform in front of people every night.” I nodded, glad he understood my situation.
“Just know that I can make it happen if you want it to,” Josh smiled.
“Of course you can.”
