“I’ve thought about us,” Tyrone says brazenly. Her eyelids flicker in surprise. “I tried not to. Especially once I started seriously dating Eva. And I did a pretty good job. But…I mean. They called us a divine pairing. How…how could I not think…”

Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Jones stood on the roof of an abandoned building, gazing at the city skyline illuminated by the night lights. The moon was shining brightly, and as they felt ready to face whatever threat was lurking in the city, they decided to share a special moment from their childhood together.

Tandy looked at Tyrone with a mischievous smile. "You know, sometimes we forget that we were kids once too. Even though we've been through a lot, there was always something that gave us comfort," she said.

"What do you mean, Tandy?" Tyrone nodded in inquiry.

She stood up and walked over to a box she had brought with her. Carefully, she opened it, revealing two worn and beloved stuffed animals that had been kept secret for years. One was a white-stuffed bunny rabbit with big eyes and floppy ears. The other was a brown teddy bear, looking cuddly and scruffy. Tandy took the bunny into her hands.

"This has been my favorite stuffed animal for as long as I can remember. It always made me feel safe when things got tough at home, especially after Dad." The nostalgia in her voice was evident.

"And this is my lifelong companion. When I was alone, it reminded me that there was always someone who loved me, even if I couldn't see him at the time." Tyrone looked tenderly at the teddy bear his older brother had given him.

They both looked at each other with complicity, sharing a special connection that only they understood. They knew that despite their difficult past and having become superheroes in the most unexpected way, these stuffed animals represented a safe place and a refuge in the darkest moments of their childhood.

Tandy extended the bunny to Tyrone.

"Ty, meet my stuffed friend, Bunny. Although I no longer need him to feel safe, he still has a special place in my heart."

Tyrone took the bunny gently and showed the teddy bear to Tandy.

"This is Teddy, my best furry friend. He always reminded me that there were good things in this world, even when everything seemed to be against me and when my brother was no longer with me.

They both smiled as they hugged their stuffed animals affectionately. It was a simple gesture, but it meant a lot to them. Those worn objects bore witness to their friendship and growth over the years.

"Tandy, you know what? I'm grateful to have met you and to have you share moments like these with me," Tyrone confessed with sincerity.

"Me too, Tyrone. You're one of the few people I can really trust," she replied with a big smile on her face.

They stayed on the roof, enjoying each other's company and sharing stories of their childhood while holding their beloved stuffed animals. In the midst of all that had happened to them, they found a moment to remember where they came from and how far they had come together.

From that night forward, Tandy and Tyrone held Bunny and Teddy in a special place as reminders that no matter how dark the night, there would always be light in their lives and hope in their hearts.

Tandy Bowen y Tyrone Jones, se encontraban en el tejado de un edificio abandonado, mirando el horizonte de la ciudad iluminada por las luces de la noche. La luna brillaba en todo su esplendor, y mientras se sentían listos para enfrentar cualquier amenaza que acechara la ciudad, decidieron compartir un momento especial de su infancia juntos.

Tandy miró a Tyrone con una sonrisa pícara. —Sabes, a veces olvidamos que también fuimos niños una vez. Aunque hemos pasado por muchas cosas, siempre hubo algo que nos daba consuelo— dijo.

—¿A qué te refieres, Tandy?—Tyrone asintió preguntando.

Ella se puso de pie y se acercó a una caja que había traído consigo. Con cuidado, la abrió, revelando dos peluches desgastados y queridos que habían estado guardados en secreto durante años. Uno era un conejito blanco de peluche, con ojos grandes y orejas caídas. El otro era un osito de peluche de color marrón, con un aspecto adorable y desaliñado. Tandy tomó el conejito en sus manos

—Este es mi peluche favorito desde que tengo memoria. Siempre me hacía sentir segura cuando las cosas se ponían difíciles en casa, especialmente después de que papá… —la nostalgia en su voz era evidente.

—Y este es mi compañero de toda la vida. Cuando estaba solo, me recordaba que siempre había alguien que me quería, incluso si no podía verlo en ese momento — Tyrone miró con ternura el osito de peluche que le había regalado su hermano mayor.

Ambos se miraron con complicidad, compartiendo una conexión especial que solo ellos comprendían. Sabían que, a pesar de su pasado difícil y de haberse convertido en superhéroes de la forma más inesperada, estos peluches representaban un lugar seguro y un refugio en los momentos más oscuros de su infancia.

Tandy extendió el conejito hacia Tyrone

—Ty, te presento a mi amigo de peluche, Bunny. Aunque ya no lo necesito para sentirme segura, todavía tiene un lugar especial en mi corazón.

Tyrone tomó el conejito con delicadeza y le mostró el osito a Tandy.

—Este es Teddy, mi mejor amigo de peluche. Él siempre me recordaba que había cosas buenas en este mundo, incluso cuando todo parecía estar en contra mía y cuando mi hermano ya no estuvo conmigo.

Los dos sonrieron mientras se abrazaban a sus peluches con cariño. Era un gesto sencillo, pero significaba mucho para ellos. Aquellos objetos desgastados eran testigos de su amistad y crecimiento a lo largo de los años.

—Tandy, ¿sabes qué? Estoy agradecido de haberte conocido y de que compartas momentos como estos conmigo—Tyrone confesó con sinceridad.

—Yo también, Tyrone. Eres una de las pocas personas en las que realmente puedo confiar —ella respondió con una gran sonrisa en su rostro.

Se quedaron en el tejado, disfrutando de la compañía del otro y compartiendo historias de su infancia mientras sostenían a sus queridos peluches. En medio de todo lo que les había sucedido, encontraron un momento para recordar de dónde venían y cuán lejos habían llegado juntos.

Desde esa noche en adelante, Tandy y Tyrone guardaron en un lugar especial a Bunny y Teddy como recordatorios de que, sin importar lo oscura que fuera la noche, siempre habría luz en sus vidas y esperanza en sus corazones.
