I hate hate hate scary movies but I love Crimson Peak, it was marketed wrong, it’s not a scary horror movie, it’s a Gothic Romance. Honestly, Stanford is such a comfort character for me that I just get this little child-like burst of joy whenever I see screencaps or anything of him. Especially when I'm not expecting it! And like, the GF writers could have easily just made him a cold, aloof multiverse survivor but instead they give him this genuine love for the strangeness of the paranormal as well as having him someone that just loves being able to share it with others is just fkdjhjfdhjk like

☽ Mmm, not sure if I really believe in soul mates or the like. I'm not sure if I'm too into the concept of having your love life controlled by some inescapable fate. For me, love is about looking at someone with all their beauties and flaws and saying "I choose you, I'm choosing to be with you. To give part of myself to you and to hold the part of yourself you give to me with all the care I can." and stuff like 'soul mates' feels too much like it takes away the choice in it. Like, imho the fact that even though nobody was meant for anyone yet we can find people that we just fit with so wonderfully is the most amazing part about love. Not just romantic but platonic as well.

As for Ford, I think he'd be interested in the concepts of soul mates and red strings and the like and would probably end up doing some research into things like that, but also would ultimately not put to much stock into it one way or another. Despite all the mistakes he's made in his life, he'd managed to surround himself with family and loved ones who are willing to fight hell itself to protect him and regardless of whatever forces might've drawn them together, he knows he'll go to hell and back to keep these people safe as well.

Wow thank you so much!! This is the first time I receive this kind of message so I’m feeling pretty overwhelmed in a positive way right now 🥹💖

I try reposting art of anime/mangas that I really like and that inspire me or help me get through art blocks. I also try to keep my blog coherent by not diverging from the main HxH and Land of the Lustrous theme but sometimes it’s hard haha.

When it come to my own art, I like experimenting with different styles. When doing so I’ll try picking a character that I like that really fits whichever style I’m going for.

For example the last piece I drew of Lynch, I experimented using a brush on Procreate that’s a bit less smooth and gives more life ro the sketch. I’m also trying to learn how to draw muscles and get comfortable with different angles. I think envisioning the characters « vibe » is very important in a piece, more so than being extremely accurate on the details, which is why I tend to change designs from time to time if it can help in making the piece more true to my vision.

By the way I saw the comment you left on my Lynch drawing and I’m very grateful!! What you said proves that what I’m trying to show to others through my art is working. Comments like this really boost my mood and make me want to post more so tytyty 🥹❤️

eilidh has magic tied to fate~, but it's misunderstood in the world. ppl think she can alter things and shit (IF YOU HAD THE CHANCE TO CHANGE YER FATE. WOULD YE??) but she can't. just sees flashes and visions and gets vague feelings about what might happen. so they keep it quiet and on the down low. saves people bothering them about it and demanding more of her and her magic than is possible

arran, my bby boy, he's a healer. helps out everyone. he's like the go to "doctor" in their wee town. he's good vibes all round, bless his wee cotton socks
