So I introduced my 8 yo brother to Ultrakill, and he has told me about V3, essentially his Ultrakill OC.
He described V3 as taller and skinner than V1 and V2, and has 2 cameras instead of 1. He hasn't specified any specific weapons, but you meet V3 in Violence, and he's on top of a super tall tower, so tall that you can't jump up.
V3 is able to lock onto you, and will always face you at all times. And also V3 has an auto clicker to attack you essentially.
Also he told me about the Filth king. Who would have also been the boss of Violence, but it was a filth that is orange, double the size of a regular filth and "has radiance level 2"

i have been relentlessly overthinking about the 7-2 music teaser we got about a week back and let me tell you . this part. right here;
i think this might be the leitmotif that'll appear in the p-3 prime soul's theme....... hear me OUT !!
my two main points of reasoning here is;
this part of the track follows a Very Close pattern of how the current two prime soul motifs are structured (a measure of 4 that repeats itself once with minor changes in the repeat -- or in different terms, a strong melody that loops once before the track moves on)
both minos and sisyphus' motifs appeared in the track of the second level of their respective layers (death at 20,000 volts / requiem and god damn the sun / sands of tide)
i am just Spitballing of course, this is still a WIP track and we have yet to actually experience the level as a whole -- but it could be something to ponder on !

Ive discovered that doodling my blorbo from my games talking about what im studying as i study helps quite a bit actually.
So heres some of my doodles of Mirage Ultrakill having sociology opinions with explanations of the sociology stuff under the cut.
Doodle 1

Doodle 1
Secularization theory is a sociological theory which was originally thought up by Emile Durkheim. It basically says that as a society gets more modern, the religiosity of the people in that society declines, eventually leading to the complete disappearance of religion.
This theory was based on several inaccurate assumptions. Namely: people are less religious now than they were in the past, and scientific thought will inevitably lead to a decline in religious belief. As it turns out, neither of these assumptions are accurate...
But because this theory was introduced in the early days of sociology, it was just kind of accepted as fact even though there was no data to really support it.
Over time sociologists began doing studies on religiosity and found some major flaws in secularization theory. There wasn't evidence to support its conclusions despite decades of study, new religious movements continued to emerge in societies which were supposedly secularized, and religion remained an important influence in politics globally.
Anyways, Mirage Ultrakill strikes me as the kind of person who would hear about secularization theory and get excited because she's a bit of an asshole who thinks that religious belief is a comfort blanket shielding people from reality. Basically: Mirage Ultrakill strikes me as a reddit atheist.
Doodle 2
This doodle is right next to my notes on a concept coined by Thomas Luckmann called "invisible religion".
Don't get me wrong, Luckmann has made great contributions to sociology. He wrote The Social Construction of Reality which was hugely influential and also good shit. But... invisible religion does not make sense to me.
Rather than using a more accepted definition of religion, Luckmann made his own which asserted that religion is thought or action above an animal level. So, dear reader, if you are transcending your biological nature, then you are doing a religion. Eating with a fork? That's religion. Reading words? Religion.
To be fair to Luckmann, he was writing Invisible Religion at a time when Secularization theory was still widely accepted. At the time it was also believed that religion acted as the social glue that held society together, so Luckmann was trying to explain why society wouldn't fall apart as religion disappeared. And his explanation was that actually being human is religion.
But yeah, I reckon Mirage Ultrakill would be mean to him.
Doodle 3
This doodle is next to my notes on pluralism (pretty much just multiple religions existing in the same time/place). Specifically next to a section referring to pluralism as a "marketplace of ideas" which is a phrase I've heard far far too many libertarians throw around.
So basically, this doodle was a visceral reaction to seeing the phrase "marketplace of ideas". Honestly, it makes sense as a metaphor in this context as long as it isn't extended to far.
Doodle 4
This doodle was next to my notes on a section of my textbook that was talking about medieval monks (honestly why it was talking about that isn't too important, it was just some stuff about discrediting secularization theory). Anyway, did you know that a lot of Monasteries also brew a lot of beer and have done so since the Middle Ages? I think that's cool.
Anyway, this doodle happened because I was bored and Mirage Ultrakill strikes me as an underage drinker (which you minors out there should not be doing btw, it doesn't end well).

Ultrakill Theory: The Third Prime Soul
(Disclaimer: I only have a passing knowledge of The Divine Comedy and Greek myth. This is mostly based on observations of Ultrakill itself.)
So I know there's a meme that the third prime soul in Ultrakill is going to be Jesus Prime, but I started seriously thinking about it and remembering some other theories people threw out there. And I have a working theory that Act 3's secret boss is going to be Daedalus Prime. Here are my detailed thoughts on why:
The other two prime souls, Sisyphus Prime and Minos Prime, have a few things in common. Most importantly to me, they're both from Greek myth and they're both alluded to in the one of the layers of their respective acts. They were also both killed by Gabriel, but that's unrelated to my theory here. If Hakita keeps to these similarities for the third one (Which to be fair, he might not), that means we have a good foundation for what to expect.
Obviously, there are a lot of figures in Greek myth to pull from, so we should look to additions to the lore of Ultrakill from Violence, the first layer of Act 3, for clues. As far as I'm concerned, there's one obvious mystery person/hanging thread alluded to in layer 7: whoever it was that created the Minotaur. In the lore entry for the Minotaur, it's stated that the beast was created by someone whose name was redacted, as a gift for Minos to establish rapport. Minos reacted to the sculpted thing with horror, and banished it to the Garden of Forking Paths, the first level of Violence. This mysterious creator, whoever it is, seems to be a pretty good candidate for expanding upon in something like a Prime Sanctum.
Now, why do I think this creator is Daedalus? Well, in Greek myth, Daedalus created the Labyrinth that housed the Minotaur for Minos. Ultrakill plays pretty fast and loose with ideas from both the Divine Comedy and Greek myth, so it's not too much of a stretch to make him the creator of the Minotaur itself in this lore. And once I thought that, it got me thinking about some elements of Violence, and how they might support Daedalus being the culprit even more.
As the first boss of Violence, the Minotaur is an artificial being created by someone in hell that knows only blind fury and carnage. This ties in very well thematically with the majority of the enemies found swarming layer 7: the machines. They are themselves, artificial beings created by humans that only know war. You could absolutely consider the Minotaur and its creator a sort of progenitor or dark reflection of Ultrakill's blood-fueled machines, and the people who created them.
Furthermore, another thematic throughline in Violence is artistry and creation. The interiors of the layer are often finely decorated, the levels littered with human architecture, statues, and clockwork. The first book you pick up in 7-1 tells you the world is a canvas, and that you should paint it (red). Daedalus is known primarily as a genius craftsman and architect in the stories he features in. It wouldn't be wrong to call him an artist. Specifically, he's a great sculptor. And a living sculpture is exactly what the Minotaur is described as in its terminal entry.
All of this leads me to believe that Act 3's Prime Sanctum will contain Daedalus Prime as the boss fight. I could be wrong: the identity of the Minotaur's creator may well be revealed in Fraud instead, or just be left a mystery. The prime soul may well be a character alluded to in Layer 8 or even 9. Also, it strikes me that it may be difficult to craft a boss fight out of a character like Daedalus that sticks to the general feel and format of Minos and Sisyphus (fast-moving hard hitting humanoids), as he doesn't strike me as the physically capable and imposing type. And then there's the fact that Gabriel does not yet appear to have anything to do with whoever is being alluded to in layer 7. All of this will of course be answered when Ultrakill is finally finished, and I'm even more excited now than ever to see what Hakita cooks with the full release!

Ok random ultrakill theory I just came up with after watching a clip of mandalore gaming explaining how he ended up playing the Aztec death whistle for the violence layer song “bull of hell” and in that clip he starts playing the Aztec death whistle normally without any of the filters that are used in the bull of hell track. It is VERY loud.
Relevant clip starts at 34:37:
youtube
Considering from the Minotaur lore text hints at its creator who’s name is hidden it’s pretty obvious the creator of the Minotaur will be Act 3’s prime sanctum boss and considering how distorted and hard to hear the Aztec death whistle music is in the bull of hell track we will probably hear a much louder much more prominent use of the Aztec death whistle in the P3 Boss fight and considering what the instrument sounds like I’m scared for my eardrums.

1 for Lies of P and your other fandoms (how yould you forget Pino and friends? xD)
Omg you're right I blanked and forgot to list that in the tags MY BAD JFHDHD
1. List 3 positive things about your current fandom(s)
I guess I'm gonna organize these by fandom lol
Pokemon:
- Diversity! Since it's been around for so long, there's tons of fics to read. If you can think of it, someone has probably written it. There's a Mewtwo fic I found in college that's basically a retelling of the events of the first movie, but holy shit it's written so beautifully it made me cry in front of my friends rjrhdgde. It's a dense read, but still one of my absolute favorite fics to this day. That's just an example of things you can find!
- Sub-fan bases. Basically, if you're a big fan of a certain Pokémon, a type of Pokémon, one of the games, etc., you're going to find your people very easily. Kind of falls under the first one a bit but ya know lol.
- Some of the cutest and also the most badass fanart comes out of this fandom. I have both art of a Sylveon with a lollipop and art of Mewtwo breaking out of their armor from the first movie. The duality of man djrhdgs
SoulsBorne
-Maybe I've gotten lucky and just found really nice people, but so far my experiences in the community have been largely positive! I've met some of the loveliest people by posting my Dark Souls and Bloodborne fics, and it really got me back into writing OCs again (you know that's my lifeblood lol)
-Character and lore analyses. Not that I agree with all of them, of course I don't, but if you want an analyses of anything in these games, there's some mad lad out there that's done it, whether it's a post or through an entire fic. Gives you tons to think about!
-ART!! Holy shit there's so many amazing artists in this community. We don't talk about how much SoulsBorne art I've snagged at conventions (I got more of it and Elden Ring stuff at Magfest don't look at me fjfhdhd)
Lies of P
-I haven't been in this fandom for long, but so far everyone I've met has been very sweet! They're also super OC-friendly. I can't tell you how many Stalker and Puppet OCs I've seen, among others, it's really amazing!
-Probably gonna say this for all of my fandoms but the ART OMG. There's so much gorgeous fanart floating around for this game it's insane. Still on the hunt for more Romeo pieces tho rjrhehe
-Headcanon diversity. Do you want a totally mute P? One that talks sometimes? One that's Had Enough? What I'm getting at is there's a P out there for everyone! People have been exploring all the different character angles on him and it's wonderful to see.
Ultrakill
-THE HYPE. Since this is an early access game still in development, the hype that cranks up every time an update is announced is INSANE. I don't think I've ever seen this level of it for an indie game. I got in just in time to witness this for the Violence update and the rush it gives you seeing everyone so excited is amazing!! It helps that every single update has just been an absolute banger. We have reason to be super excited, the devs do stellar work!!
-LORE. Do you wanna feel like Charlie at the corkboard in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? Because that's where I'm definitely at right now. Since we're in the last act of the game, there's so much speculation and so many theories about how the game will end. On top of that, people have been playing in the lore sandbox ever since this game started. I know I've def been up at night wondering how the hierarchy of Heaven works and what certain layers of Hell were like before Certain Events TM (I'm being vague because I know at least one person wants to play this bear with me lol). Basically there's tons to explore and the community collectively goes insane about different bits, we have fun here lmao
-I'm bundling art and memes into this one because oh my GOD. The tonal whiplash is a rollercoaster ride. You can go from the most heart-wrenching art of Gabriel you've ever seen to a piece that goes "V1 is a shrimp now" and sometimes you just need that snap back to some levity. The memes are absolutely top-tier. It helps that the voice actor for Gabriel already does memes and shitposts on his YouTube channel, so he just carries that over for Ultrakill stuff sometimes and y'know what? This game is dark, I'm gonna need these memes for when the ending makes me bawl like a baby. The Violence layer already has me feeling the creeping sense of dread (if you know you KNOW).

ultrakill act 3 theory/prediction
so, what if the "yellow arm" was actually a GOLD arm you receive in 8-4?? so basically my "prediction" is like: you go to 8-4, gabe ambushes you, you kick his ass, damage him enough that some armor of his drops off (the left arm to be precise), then he runs off. you pick up armor, attatch it to feedbacker arm. BOOM, divine feedbacker. no idea what it would do, but it's cool. maybe a heavy slow punch (like knuckleblaster) and parries do a virtue beam on whatever you parried?? like if i parried a stray with this divine feedbacker, the projectile would be absorbed and the stray would get hit with a virtue beam that does like 60 damage?? (which is really 6 dmg but everything in ultrakill is timesed by 10, which means you only really have 10 health) so this virtue beam would kill all fodder enemies (filth, stray, most basic enemies like those), and it would do like half health to things like mindflayers, soldiers, sentries, and other tougher basic enemies??? just a silly theory i thought of, could be a possibility :3c

you know who i’m hoping is a central character in ultrakill act 3?
cassandra!
you know, the prophetess nobody listened to from greek mythology! one of my favorite things about the game so far has been its structure— its been pretty solid so far, three pieces and a v2 fight, then another three pieces, then a crescendo and a climax. v1 is for sure going to bulldoze its way through all of hell, we know that much! but at the same time, damn, have some of those story elements been unexpected!
who would have guessed the righteous hand of god wouldve killed the entire council after falling out of their favor? who the hell are we going to fight now that v2′s dead? and where in the world has god gone?
reading up on the lore, things seem to have been pretty absolute all around until v1 threw a wrench in the works. but in hindsight, it seems so obvious— of course an entire dimension ruled on repression and blind faith could be so easily toppled! of course mankind managed to create a being so simply motivated it would stop at nothing to continue living! so why wouldn’t there be someone to predict all of this before hand? maybe there was, and she was destroyed for it be heaven?
simply i think it would be very dope. we’re coming up on envy and pride next so there could be some very potent themes about how heaven’s pride was its downfall, you know. plus if she was the sixth part penultimate boss like sisyphus or minos, we would probably get a lot of lore about her predictions for things which have already happened, and maybe even some hints about the game’s finale! and, you know, even if she were just a mini boss like the ferryman, i would think that a cool choice.
anyway! more likely the next boss will be another greek king, which i’ve no problem with of course! i haven’t seriously read up on greek mythology in a while and i’m certain whatever hakita picks will be a fantastic addition to the game’s themes, but this is just my personal hope for the final act!

this is the most compelling argument i've seen for Gabriel showing up as early as 7-4. however...
1. V1 is a robot running on blood; they're not magic, and i see no reason they should be able to incorporate an arm made of flesh into their design, or whatever angels are made of. if the pattern of getting their next arm in the first layer of an act continues, whatever opponent they fight must have a compatible arm to steal, even if it's not part of said opponent's body. the Knuckleblaster was V2's original left arm, and the Whiplash was an arm V2 constructed to replace the Knuckleblaster. our opponent is likely mechanical but could just as easily be guarding a mechanical arm instead.
2. as far as Gabriel's actions making sense... bear with me because i have to speculate here, but Gabriel doesn't have the hindsight we do, nor is he an entirely rational being. when he first encountered V1, it hadn't been long since they first entered, and he likely didn't grasp how dangerous they are. after being defeated the first time, Gabriel was delayed in confronting them again due to being detained by the council. he probably tried to stop the full-scale machine invasion that V1's trail of destruction most certainly aided in progressing. but without his full connection to the Father's light, and still upset at having been defeated, he probably couldn't do much. perhaps he thought that taking V1 on again would slow the invasion - no doubt he was also motivated by the prospect of revenge. this time, now that he's slaughtered the council and is rapidly approaching his own death, who knows what he's thinking? we can't assume he wants to kill V1 quickly; perhaps he wants a spectacle, or is psyching himself up to fight to the death. we just don't know right now.
3. we also can't assume that 9-2 is the last level of Ultrakill. the secret levels and Prime Sanctums don't show up on V1's HUD like the main levels do, nor did the entirety of the prologue. there could still be one last level past 9-2, at the very bottom of Hell, where V1 will square off against the strongest Hell has to offer. i'm with you, i believe Hell itself will converge and attempt to destroy V1 before they somehow kill it. but i don't believe Hakita would break his own pattern to put Gabriel in a different level than 9-2. (plus Hakita has stated we won't be fighting Lucifer - if he does show up personally, it'll be as an NPC or a corpse.)
ultimately this is a theory i just can't find a lot of weight behind. it's an interesting idea, don't get me wrong - but it's not consistent with the patterns Hakita has set up.
Why I think Gabriel's Act 3 boss fight will happen in Violence rather than Treachery.
What has been revealed of Violence so far feels far too melancholy to be a setup for another V2 fight, compared to the intentionally-fake-looking beauty of Limbo and the hostile environment of Greed (also V2's dead, although they could return), but it would be perfect for Gabriel's final confrontation. Also, something something the "Arm 4 will be Gabriel's arm" theory.
Gabriel's crusade would not make sense if he started from the deepest part of Hell, since, in his monologue at the start of 6-2, he states that the Machines have not yet destroyed Gluttony; presuming that the time V1 takes to travel between layers isn't too long, the Machines will probably have already destroyed Gluttony and started doing the same to Greed by the time 7-1 happens.
A boss-fight against Lucifer and/or Hell itself would make more sense for the final boss (unless there are more levels based on the other parts of the Divine Comedy).
The only counterargument I can think of is that, if Gabriel's crusade is starting in Gluttony or Greed, then it could be that he reaches 9-2 or whatever at the same time as V1.
Anyway, feel free to add on or post a rebuttal.

Another Ultrakill theory, that I feel like will already have been said somewhere. But I've seen people saying V2 probably won't show up in act 3.
I will start by saying, when viewing the story as Gabriel's story, that makes sense. In terms of the gameplay it may be unnecessary (V2 is already a complex fight, it's missing a couple weapon variants, and doesn't have railgun or rocket launcher
BUT hear me out. Hypothetically
V2 was reduced to a blood puddle in greed. Fair point. How could V2 even come back?
That's the easiest question honestly, because of Hell. Through terminal Entries and arg stuff we know that Hell is a living thing, a smart living thing. Hell is able to modify husks with mechanical parts, able to learn how technology works by watching and even transporting things around itself. So I think reconstituting a V2 model would be in Hell's ballpark
I don't think V2 would appear in Treachery (that's gotta be Gabriel's final encounter I feel) I think either Violence or Fraud could work though.
In Violence, V2 has completely over-rid it's more protection based programming with the drive to kill.
In Fraud, V2 is just some cheap knockoff V1.
But how might V2 appear? Any special mechanics? Will V2 have the gold arm?
I dunno.
But here are some ideas!!
-Idea 1 Cobbled V2: Since V2 was turned to goop, Hell didn't have a lot to work with, so essentially, has to use the parts of a ton of various machines you've already encountered. Like the body of a Sentry or Swords machine, along with whatever machinery turned into the soldiers modifications. It could even gain some mindflayer abilities as well.
Mechanically, this would most likely result in combining the base components abilities with V2's (if only the mindflayer laser could interact with coins)
Alternatively, V2 gets a couple more weapons maybe, but gets V1's blood repair through hell energy, because I hate fun
-Idea 2 V2 Scrapped for parts: in this version, the info Hell has gleaned from V2 Is used to enhance the various Husks that hell has access to. Consider facing soldier variants that are red and gold, and prefer moving around more.
Mechanically, this would look like having slightly stronger basic enemies that move around a lot more, and may even have one of the weapons V2 had access to. Note that the marksman variant of these V2 husks would be evil.
That's all I got thanks for reading, let me know what you think

Highly doubt I’m the first one to point this out with seven months since act II released but. y’know the sentient terminal theory from the p-1 entry
Tumblr media
[Start ID. An ULTRAKILL screenshot of the terminal at the end of the level 5-3: SHIP OF FOOLS. It has been tipped over on its side from the Leviathan capsizing the ship, and its Tip of the Day has been replaced with the word “Ow.” End ID]

i know my head right now is a boiling pot of imbalanced humors but i just finished act 2 of ultrakill and ngl i felt as manic while fighting Gabriel and right afterwards as did he. the fight itself was not that hard, but it felt very good - i managed to parry way more often than during the first fight, but it happened SO naturally, it really felt like we were dancing. way more than it did during the fights with V2 for example
and despite me having already seen the post-fight cinematic it still hits like a train. i cannot disagree with the theory(?) that the game is actually more about Gabriel than V1, and i for one am glad to dish out as much lead character development as he needs in his direction. V1 themself is such an intriguing character. i haven't read all descriptions carefully so idk if i'm supposed to know this, but what happened to humanity? humanity is dead, hell is full, blood is fuel. as i remember, there was a promise of a war that bore V1 and V2, but then there was peace, and then humanity somehow got eradicated. were it the machines who destroyed humanity? why are they in hell now; are they simply continuing their extermination programming or are they in need of "fresh" sources of fuel? and it's so fascinating that this mindless carnage is what derails Gabriel, makes him realize that he regrets the bloodshed he's been ordered to carry out - and yet his solution is to decapitate heaven and show everyone that a sword is mightier than the word of god? whose sword is it going to be after he sets off to hell? how is he even planning to pay for his mistakes there aside from maybe stopping the tidal wave of the machines from eradicating the rest of the layers? (are we going to fight lucifer in act 3? would be cool)
that being said - act 3 should give us a proper melee weapon

Okay Ultrakill Crack theory on who the next prime soul is. I personally think the third prime soul will stick with the Greek King theme.
In original Myth, Minos was the king that built the labyrinth, and had a wide who cheated on him with a bull (compelled by Poseidon but whatever) Minos was made a judge of hell in Greek myth AND in Dante's inferno.
We know in Ultrakill itself, Minos started as an esteemed judge in hell, and fell from grace so to speak by uplifting Lust.
Then we have Sisyphus. While he doesn't exactly show up in the Divine comedy, traces of him do, especially in the greed layer, where the greedy participate in the Sisyphean task of pushing their wealth past someone with a similar amount of wealth.
[insert rest of breakdown of existing prime souls because I'm tired] oh but one point I want to make is that Sisyphus was made low, and kept down after the insurrection.
My guess is Odysseus, or as he's known in Inferno, Ulysses. Wasn't Odysseus the hero of his story? Yeah, but the Romans HATED this guy. He went around, lying about who he was, tricking his foes and all that. The Greeks saw him as clever and cunning. The Romans saw him as a dishonorable backstabber. His story ultimately ends with him returning to his kingdom (after YEARS of being away) he dresses up as a stranger, joins the competition to win his wife, and after he wins goes "Heyo it's me, everyone who tried to get with my wife is gonna die now. And also also, everyone who tried to get with the guys that tried to get with my wife can be hung."
Known for the strategy of the Trojan Horse, this guy was a trickster. So how does he translate to.Ultrakill?
I think, Ulysses was involved in some sort of rebellion similar to Sisyphus and Minos. While Minos and Sisyphus were trying to improve the lives of those around them, Ulysses joined a similar cause, but betrayed them from the very start for a promise of gaining leadership.
Ulysses is the current ruler of a layer of hell, gained by forsaking those around him, those that believed him to be a leader, ones that believed his counsel.
Ulysses will be built of fraud, every action, and every word an attempt to raise himself up. Ulysses will have started at nothing and pulled his way up above everyone else.
In terms of gameplay, I think Ulysses would use their Flesh prison as a Defensive mechanism, like a Trojan horse. You'll be fighting this thing, and then when you get it almost low then BAM this guy pops out and uses some fancy language to say stuff like "Thanks for getting rid of the competition" and "I've worked too hard to let you ruin this"
Then he AND his flesh vault will be attacking you. Things start getting bad for Ulysses he'll retreat back inside.
I feel like the idea has merit but babysitting and class has ruined me, so I'm just gonna set this down and go. Let me know what y'all think
It could also be midas, cause it seems like Midas Sisyphus and Minos are grouped as like 3 bad kings but Ulysses might be dope

OK. im calling it Right Now. to replace the v2 fight in act 3′s first layer we’ll be fighting gabriel before he croaks and get one of HIS arms for the remainder of the game. maybe this would give us like… bonafide flying or maybe even his teleportation ability. “well then who are we going to fight in treachery?” literally no clue my friend. im pretty sure we’re gonna encounter the mechanics who’ve been turning husks and demons into cyborgs OH also wouldnt it be dope if we came upon an angel who’d been technologically altered too. that would be cool.
