Me: trusting and relying on only 1 media source is a recipe for dictatorship. It would be so easy for them to prune everything else without you noticing or you cheering them on and then you'd totally rely on centralized propaganda.

I've seen what that is like in russia and we don't want that. Not if we want to keep a democracy. We need to develop and sharpen critical thinking and research and media literacy skills and not only rely on one media source and support the proliferation of media even the ones we don't agree with
