can you talk more about katrina's specific fighting style and if she does anything that could be considered a "signature move" or just what people might observe by watching her fight?

YES absolutely i love this question! her fighting style varies a bit depending on verse and on situation. the through line in all verses really is a sort of scrappiness that she brings to her fighting style that comes from not only her own intense survival instinct and anger, but also the sort of fights she would get into as a kid which were very much not formally trained. she is not at all afraid to get messy and dirty with her fighting - it's especially visible when she's fighting for a sort of want or self destruction instead of practical need.

in her main verse, in which she does have quite a bit of combat training, i take a lot of inspiration for her fighting style from the SCARS, LINE, SPEAR, and defendu systems, as well as combat pistol shooting, and during her training she has practiced on a number of courses similar to unifight. she doesn't have any signature moves really, but lots of her initial training was very much focused on efficiency, not necessarily harm reduction or mercy. she has learned a number of more restrained methods, but she's the sort of person who loves a fight, loves the adrenaline and the dirty moves and gets her blood pumping. she's definitely prone to being less gentle than she could be at times.

during her time being held by HYDRA, one of the things they would do for training was an obstacle course very similar to a unifight competition (not only did it help with agility, but also with ability to aim and fire weapons quickly). as a result, she's very good at them and will absolutely challenge anyone to a race.

she was never very good at school in general, but the subject she got the best grades in (albeit by a small margin) was history, followed by english and then german.
