  Limping was the only thing he could manage. After being shot by one of those damned scorched he was thankful the bullet merely grazed his side. Still though it caused immense pain the rippled throughout his core. A bloodied hand holding his side as he limped back to his camp, unfortunately miles away from his current location. 

   Stopping to rest himself against a tree his back slid down course bark. His deep breaths were quite audible in the surrounding area, puffs of air entered then exited his smoke blackened lungs for some time before the soft crinkling of weight against dry leaves caused him to fall silent. With his free hand he gripped his machete, willing to fight through the pain to save his life. 

   Suddenly... silence. The air was quiet as the standoff ensued. Rather foolishly Roadkill called out for the strange presence to reveal itself. 

                                                            “ Who’s out there? ”

                        ‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒  Such    a    strange    creature  !!      The  mutant  woman  intrigues  him  because  he  has  never  seen  anything  quite  like  her  before.    Ben  is  inquisitive  by  nature,      &    he  wonders  about  her,    about  where  she  came  from,    how  she  got  to  be  the  way  she  is.    Especially  with  that  Pip  —  Boy  of  hers.    It  brings  him  to  wonder  if  she  was  a  vault  dweller.  Could  she  be  ageless,    like  him  ?    Did  she  steal  it  ?    Salvage  it  ?    Buy  it  ?      

                        He  can  see  why  she  stays  holed  up,    but  he  can’t  imagine  willingly  staying  in  one  place  at  all  times.    It  kind  of  makes  him  feel  bad  for  her.    He  thinks  that  she  should  get  out  of  there    &    find  a  place  where  she  can  be  truly  comfortable,    because  it’s  clear  she’s  not  too  happy  with  her  current  living  conditions.
