"They make me INSANE, okay? Literally the healthiest relationship in the Metal Gear franchise, which admittedly isn't a high bar to clear. Every single game with the two of them just proves how good of a pair they make, and I'm obsessed with them.

They're each other's most important person after their daughter, because oh yeah, they raised a daughter together. While they bicker and argue and occasionally fight, they never turn on each other. Their loyalties lie with each other and their shared goals in a better, brighter world.

Are they in love? I dunno, maybe. Maybe they're just really close guy friends who spend their lives living under the same roof, raising a kid together, sharing their secrets with each other, and devoting their precious time on earth to spending it together. Does it even matter if it's romantic, though, when no matter what comes their way they face it together? Maybe it's just enough that they have trust and devotion and camaraderie. If it really is 'just' friendship, then it's a friendship that's more enduring than anything else in the series.

They're perfect compliments to each other, each being exactly what the other needs from them. They're equals, partners, something they can't get with anyone else in the world, and they treasure that in each other. They need each other, not just in the practical 'let's go commit terrorism to save the world' sense but also in the emotional 'you're the only bitch here who understands me' sense. In the 'I can only let myself be a person when I'm with you' sense. In the 'you can love me when I can't stand to look at myself in the mirror' sense.

God even their quotes are insane. 'Do you think love can bloom, even on a battlefield?' Babe it's blooming right now. 'I don't believe in God, Otacon, so you're the only one to whom I can pray.' HELLO?!?! SIR!!!

God I know I'm repeating myself but I don't care, they're fucking amazing. They invented love."

tarot cards your Don't Forget You Love Me

A little fun fact about the CRK Tarot Card Deck that I just found out so now you have to:

So in the Physical Deck you could buy during the Anniversary, there's an extra Tarot Card showing Shadow Milk Cookie.

It doesn't have an Arcana title like the others, instead his name IS the title. And in the Manual his card is stated to be a Joker Card, which as far as I know doesn't exist in regular Tarot decks. I don't even think this card has it's own description in the Manual.

What it does have, however, is a Roman Number. The only problem is that said number was crossed out. Based on the spacing and the letters you can see, you can make out X - I I.

Now there's actually two options for what his card's Number could be.

XVII, the Star. The card in upright represents Hope, Opportunities and Inspiration. Yet in reverse this card means Despair, disappointment and missed opportunities .

Or XXII, which while not often used, is actually another Number for the Fool. Upright the card means New beginning, carelessness, travel and innocence. But in reverse means negligence, poor decisions and holding back.

The Star could fit Shadow Milk back when he was known as the Fount of Knowledge. A once hopeful cookie who slowly lost his spark due to his loneliness, which led to his eventual corruption. (Also Shadow milk does have quite a bit of Star themes)

As for the Fool... there's a few ways I see this card fitting him. First in a literal sense, as Fool is another word for Jester. But also in a metaphorical sense, mainly for the reversed meanings.

Shadow Milk Cookie neglected his duties as the Fount of Knowledge when he turned to deceit. He's made a lot of bad choices, especially in Episode 8 of beast-yeast when he was tricked by Pure Vanilla Cookie.

And we know that Shadow Milk's holding back his true feelings. PV revealed his loneliness, The Devs themselves talked about how Shadow Milk Cookie needs lots of love, even the Cake Hound based off him is described to want to befriend (or is in love with, based off the Korean version) a certain Cream Sheep (likely PV).

Maybe Shadow Milk was the Star, but post corruption turned into the Fool. Hence why the number is crossed out.

Do these cards mean anything for the story of Cookie Run Kingdom? Probably not. But I saw the card on Tik Tok and someone pointed out the fact the Fool can also be XXII and next thing I know I'm writing this at 2 AM.

Please let me know if I made a Mistake or something. I like Tarot Cards but I'm no expert.
