Redesign Error and Ink!!

time for headcanons!!

Headcanons on Error:

• He likes to steal not only chocolate, but also clothes (all his clothes are either from Underfell or Outertale)

• He's also sooooo squeamish (about food, dirt, and more)

• Clean (despite the fact that he lives in an Anti-void), Error tries to keep everything clean/in order and will not tolerate garbage on his territory

• Does not tolerate changes in life well (he immediately begins to panic and stress), Err still for consistency and calmness)

Vindictive (literally everything that brought a negative experience for Error becomes evil and the most hated thing)

• Sews and knits well, although she can quickly get tired/overly reluctant and throw everything into the far corner (and forget about them as about Blue /j)

• Copies his idols in many ways (Undertale and Asgoro) and uses their quotes/words in conversation in every possible way (so he feels cool✨️)

• Sees the code, but does not understand it (and is unlikely to want to understand it)

• When Error calls for threads, they are very soft and elastic from the beginning, but soon become harder and heavier (it seems to me that it will be very convenient to take things with threads)

• Error protects loneliness

But there is a problem, Error is insanely afraid of being forgotten/not needed (and that's why he tries so hard to prove himself to others)

• Error does not need sleep (as well as many other things in Anti-void)

But not only does he not sleep for this reason, he is afraid to fall asleep and never get up/wake up again (as it was before)

• If Error had met an animal, Err would have been most afraid of them)

(Err had simply never seen them and had no experience interacting with them)

• Deep down, he really wants to have a heart-to-heart conversation with Toriel, as before (but still believes that she deserves it for her "wrongness")

• He has nearsightedness, and he also has -5 or -6 eyesight.

Headcanons on Ink:

• Problems with short-term memory, but Ink tries to train it (so as not to be a sucker who forgets everything)

• Very fond of trying new things (whether it's drawing, music, and more, even things that don't work out)

• Uses everything that comes to hand as a canvas for drawing (it doesn't matter clothes, walls or a living being)

• Excellent support and inspiration in difficult moments (although he does not feel compassion, he just knows that it NEEDS to be done)

• Lives in a mess and feels good) (creative mess)

• A lot of stylish clothes (which he may not wear for years)

• His Broomie brush can change size, color, shape, and transform into anything

• He has a small house in Doodle sphere (he usually uses it for guests and for creativity)

• Likes to collect various (and unnecessary) things

• His scarf is alive(?)(no one knows for sure, not even Ink himself)

• Ink is not only a friend, but also a parent figure for the Dream

• Ink can turn into ink and change its shape

• He has a lot of soft pillows and toys at home (and they are all scattered throughout the house)

• Does not feel pain, cold/heat and hunger

• I keep templates for readings, vocab dumps, and even lecture mind maps.

• Everything syncs with my MacBook, so I can reference notes while typing papers or making my own study guides.

Use PDF inserts like digital sticky notes, pastel highlighters, or even your own handwriting font.

Start When It’s Assigned — Not When It’s Due

We don’t do chaos over here. Even if it’s just a brain dump or writing out a to-do, get something down early. It lowers stress and gives you room to finesse instead of scramble.

Also: readings before class? Underrated. You’ll actually understand what’s going on.

For example, my campus was extremely hot so I always had a little mini fan and a cooling face mist since I’d rarely wore makeup on campus. I just had everything that I could possibly need to make the day comfortable and simple!

Even if you’re mostly digital with your iPad and laptop in class, these are cute to have:

• Five Star notebooks (clean layout, durability)

Setting the tone is everything.

-BT Taco is a huge geek when it comes to machines and technology. Making devices for stuff is one of her hobbies, with her being very well-versed in Shimmer and Meeple technology.

-BT Taco is also very well-versed in the code of her and the other contestants, knowing what all that stuff means and how to edit any part if needed. She's coded Mepad's teleport ability in her code as well!

-BT Taco goes by Yara in other AUs and pre season 2, mainly to make things less confusing.

-Its pretty easy to tell where in the time period most of my Blue Truths AU posts with drawings are by looking at Taco's design.

Note: I thought I'd make season 1 and early post season 1 BT Taco designs have changed colors to differentiate them from the other designs, but posts before this will not have this change so you'll have to use context to figure out where in the timeline it is.

-BT Taco is a huge Kingdom hearts and kirby fan. Riku and Shadow Kirby are her favorites for the two fandoms respectively.

-In TLS AU BT Taco tends to mess with Cobs in this funny way. Everyday she puts a tiny toy frog somewhere in meeple, or she moves furniture a tiny bit to the right or left, never letting herself get caught while doing it.

-BT Taco has stolen TLS Cobs glasses once, not returning them until he agreed to wear a big pink glittery and poofy dress for that day. It was a funny and confusing day for the rest.

Post season 2 ep 8 Still happy but much more anxious, now has her face scars, wears gloves due to Soap seeing somethings she shouldn't.

Post end of TLS KH arc II has long since ended for her, lettuce on the left side is covering part of face, panics when not near TLS OJ for long time periods.

thank you! i use photoshop! a good alternative if you don’t have access to that is photopea; its interface is exactly like photoshop’s. i used to be a canva anti but i was forced to learn it for work and i will say i came around! it’s a great and accessible tool and i think with a few workarounds (mostly tutorials from tiktok or youtube or whatever else), it can do a lot of what photoshop can do too—just in a more complicated way than it needs to be sometimes.

as for tips, i think honing in on your style and what you like/dislike will lead to everything else falling into place. i’m self-taught in graphic design and i only learned bc i knew what i wanted my work to look like and would search tutorials for how to achieve a certain technique. to figure out what i like (present tense bc i’m still learning every day), i scroll through pinterest a lot, i moodboard (milanote is amazing for this), i save a lot of color palettes, i take photos of things that look interesting to me if i come across it out and about, etc.

i’ll share a piece of advice a seasoned artist gave me once! they advised me to steal ideas—and not in the way you think that means; obviously don’t copy/rip off entire designs LOL. they explained that your art style is going to be an amalgamation of all the art styles you’ve ever admired and loved (a lot like writing imo). so they encouraged me to try other artists’ techniques and keep the bits i like and make them my own—emphasis on making it your own haha. do the same and then one day, you’ll have your own style. i think this has been really helpful!

Frisk and the recently introduced mystery human in chibi form. Chara doesn't get a chibi form because they aren’t technically part of STMtale’s code. To be fair, neither is Frisk, but that’s slightly more complicated, as they still get a chibi body despite this fact. Explaining why that is would spoil the ending though. ;)

Cannonacly, there is no chibi Sans, but I wanted to make Neue a sprite and I don't have any reference images of him ready, so here’s a chibi Sans instead.

MK was actually surprisingly difficult to convert to chibi form. In order to convert sprites to chibi form, I scale down the sprites and then clean them up and make them smol. MK’s sprite has a really big head, which is a problem since it makes the rest of their body extremely tiny when you scale it down. I tried basing the chibi sprite off of MK’s in-game sprite at first, but I realized that if I did that, it just ended up looking awkward. So I had to base the sprite on the design I use for them. It ended up looking sufficiently cute, though.

First of all, thank you SO much because this theme and pinned post shit ain’t no joke. But what I typically do is make all my text small (if you’re on mobile, usually when you go to make a new post, highlight the text that you want to be small and click the button that’s like this: <s>)

Also to make it like “smedium”?? you have to make it big first (mobile: go to the “Aa” icon and put however big you want it first and then put it in small.)

To get custom colors, you have to go to “color text generators” and pick and choose the colors you desire and to paste it properly as you wish, you have to go to tumblr from the actual search engine and place that HTML link in the post. (Go to the gear icon in the top right of the post, text editor, then choose “HMTL”) Now if you have a lot of text that you need to paste down, all the HTML coding can definitely be confusing so make sure to just paste everything down first, then go to preview and adjust it how you like.

For banners, I usually use IBISPAINT because it is so beginner friendly. Take an image of choice, go to IBISPAINT X and press the “+” icon and press “import image” and choose the image you want to crop into a banner. Press the paintbrush Icon, then canvas, then obviously “trim” and adjust it as you please. I also use IBISPAINT X to remove backgrounds to pictures I need to create that transparent sticker effect. (brush->magic wand-> make sure the black dotted line it outside of your image or at least on the parts you wish to delete. When you’re finished go to the dotted square in the top right and then click “remove selection area” to get rid of the lines->press the arrow in the bottom right-> pick the save as a transparent image option-> then put it in the post and make sure it looks how you want it to.

(also to save the banner do the same JUST DONT SAVE IT AS A TRANSPARENT IMAGE)

I also get all the extra glittery stuff from tumblr or you could get them from some other website that i totally forgot the name of. will post it if i ever do find it because hot girls don’t gatekeep. also for really pretty icons and fonts that aren’t found here, just look through the search “aesthetic copy and paste icons” and “ig fonts”

ALRIGHT AFTER…how long has it been? 4 weeks? Longer? Whoops but life happens and currently that is in the form of finding out the dudes who built on the second bathroom for one messed up the tape and for two didn’t seal the drywall.

At all. No drywall sealer no paint primer absolutely ZILCH. How do we know they didn’t? Well. Pretty sure paint aint supposed to peel off the walls like layers of nail polish and or dead skin after a horrendous sunburn. And that said side against the wall be the paint color with bits of the paper fibers from the drywall stuck to it.

Anywho the sewing update: because I thought it was more economical and probably because I unconsciously make myself suffer from my choices, I ordered the poplin for the vest and pants and the long part of the sleeves of the coat.

But wait, that doesn’t sound horrible. Well. I ordered as opposed to 4 yards (3.66m) of an average 45/60” (1.15/1.5m) wide fabric, I order 2 yards (1.83m) of 118” (2.99m) fabric.

There is no large enough space to lay all of that out flat.

So I just smoothed out an end to cut the pieces out from and had the rest of it just kinda piled to the side against the hallway wall.

I got everything cut out for the vest and pants interfacing included and I went to get the cut out corset pieces of lining, canvas, and two layers of medium interfacing that I have left from last year’s attempt. That I still have more of.

Featuring the half inch bias tape I have to use as vest detailing once I paint it silver with the actual non heat set Tulip brush on fabric paint. And so the past couple hours have been basting the interfacing in place on the corset pieces and the front vest pieces with overlock thread as opposed to the regular sewing thread.

Behold the pile this was in. I got the canvas outside all sewn together and I am in the process of just yanking the basting out from where I put it offset 1/8” (3mm) from the seam allowance seam with the biggest stitch my machine can make that I know of. Namely a 4 on the little stitch length dial.

Anyways thats all for now because in my time that I’m not working on this I am driving myself insane with trying to figure out the lights before I even get the coat done enough to measure and guess how much lights this will need.

Mostly because after staring at Necromancer’s glowing that fades in and out, or rather dims in and out, I’ve noticed that his eyes and the cracks are synced but not his hair. So coding lights is gonna be interesting to figure out later.

i use this website! and i do this whole process on my laptop as mobile wont allow this i'm pretty sure.

so basically, theres this gear symbol on your post when in editing mode or wtv on desktop. you're gonna wanna click it, scroll down until you see that drop down menu with 'rich text' or something and you're gonna wanna change it to HTML which will open a tab next to your preview/normal tab for your post.

on the website, you can type what you want and choose the amount of colors and the way of the gradient (i always go for horizontal, obvi, and i use between 2-5 colors depending on the hexcodes i have)

for the colors you can manually pick the them (i did that in canva from eyedropping from my intro's pictures) or type hexcodes from websites with color pallettes and such! (which is also what i do lol)

when you generate your fade, it'll have a string of idk code?? that you need to copy the whole thing. then go back to your tumblr post of the HTML tab, paste the string of code (i seriously dont know what its called IM SORRY LMAO) and when you go on your preview tab, your chosen text should be colored!!

Keep in mind that my formatting is what works for me, so it might not work for everyone. I also use Clip Studio Paint (EX), so some bits might work for other programs, while some might not. I also can't for the life of me remember the difference between CSP Debut, Pro, or EX so I'm sorry if I mention features you might not have.

I'm gonna cut the post here, so it doesn't take up too much space on the dash :D

Alrighty! I'm not completely sure what you mean by format, so I'll just do a quick rundown of my process!

Script

I usually start with a script. It can be as loose or detailed as you want it to be, but mine usually are something like this:

Character A: "Says a word!" Description of scene or action

Character A: "Says more words!" Character B: "And more words are said"

I use gaps in the text to signify a panel break. So this would be two panels! Keep in mind your workload, and don't put in too many if you're not ready for it.

Sketch

After I finalize, or at least have a general understanding of my script, I get a canvas around the size that I think it'll be. I usually start out with about 1800x8000, but you can adjust it based on your needs.

I like to try and sketch out a rough idea of how I want the comic to flow. Using my script, I sketch out the panels and toss in where I think the text bubbles will go. Here's the latest Wanderer update as an example! (Yes I usually use the first draft sketches for the final product, don't worry about it lmao)

I do a sketch of the entire thing, which helps me resize as I need.

Panels

The panels were always the hardest part for me to figure out before I started working on Wanderer. Again, this is what works for me. It might not work for everyone, and this is also just how I set up this specific comic.

Let's get some boxes going. Go to the Frame Border option, and select rectangle frame.

It needs to be on create frame!

Click and drag one giant box over your sketch. I'm using an excerpt from the above sketch for example! You can click the frame layer itself, hold ctrl down and adjust the width of the box.

Delete this layer:

and move your sketch above the frame layer so you can see it!

Now we just split the panels up how you want them. Next to where you found the Create Frame option earlier, there should be a Cut Frame option. I personally use Divide Frame Folder, so everything is contained without bleeding through to other panels.

You can mess with these:

The "gutter" is just how much space is made between panels.

When making your panel splits, you can hold ctrl to snap to a 45° angle.

It might end up looking messy to the side, but each new frame folder will be like a new mini canvas for each panel. I find that color coding the layers helps me find which ones I need if I start getting too many.

Here's a look at what it might look like based on what I've done for just this example.

It keeps everything nice and organized, imo!

Okay, I thiiink that about covers it. Text boxes/bubbles and the such are easier to find tutorials for, so I'm not gonna cover those unless people specifically want those. But I'm more than willing to divulge... most... of my secrets haha.

There's a cryptid in my needlework

So, I've recently went back to cross stitch after what feels like aeons of not touching the needle and decided to start a new project.

I found a fun website that figures out the pattern, canva size and thread colours for you. It's awesome really. The only little problem was the fact that thread was in DMC numbering.

You see, my mom used to also be obsessed over cross stitch and she has an absolute hoard of thread to this day. But yup, all of it is Ariadna brand.

So I do the only thing a broke uni student with her mom's treasure wasting away would do - seek the conversion chart.

And oh boy did I find it...

That wasn't even the beginning. Turns out that somewhere in our timeline Ariadna changed their numbering code - which means that I had to find the colors in the newer numbering and then, again, convert it to the older ones.

Yay, I did it!

Except I didn't :(

Who would have known that DMC has a lot wider colour pallette to choose from? In the end I was left with a few colours I had to find manually. Which leads me to my main point:

The number 404

I found that little guy and it instantly caught my eye. It looks a lot older than even its previously mentioned old-numbered cousins, such as my wonderful baby, 690:

But back to 404

For my project I needed quite a few browns so I jumped right into the rabbit hole of finding its new-numbered counterpart and figuring out if it fits colours around it.

Or I would, if it existed.

This is an "older-newer number" chart. It's weird I won't say it isn't. 403/405 is not the only jump that's on there (506/508); Ariadna seems to especially not like sevens.

But what makes 507 and 404 different is that you won't find a 507 thread but you will find a brown 404. Or green 404. Or blue 404. Beige 404, rusty 404, rose 404.

404 exists in every colour, everywhere and no one has the slightest idea of what's happened there.

I'm seeing a lot of comments where people are trying to figure out where to go to roleplay with real people. So I wanted to add on with some advice for you.

If you're unsure where to go, there are many places to find fellow roleplayers. Look around on Tumblr's search feature for RP and askblogs, or consider making one yourself and tagging it with your fandom to be seen. If you write fanfiction, maybe put an offer at the end of your fic to roleplay with people in that fandom.

Search around for fandom Discord servers that have an RP section. I recently found myself in a Kirby server where the roleplaying scene is really fun. I'm mostly a spectator, but it's amazing how many tools there are for that, from typing regularly to making character profiles with Tupperbot and similar tools. Look for forum websites to see if they have any RP forums. I used to be a part of a forum on TV Tropes for a roleplayl called We Have All Been Gender Flipped, or WHABGF for short. Genuinely had a lot of fun there.

Heck, back when YouTube had a comments section on people's channels, my earliest internet roleplaying days were there. If you want to go make a YouTube video and use the comments section for roleplaying, by all means, go for it. It's unorthodox, but so long as everyone consents to it, why not? XD I mean there were days where my high school friends and I would make color coded Google Docs to roleplay together, we had some Sly Cooper level adventures that were so much fun. When you have friends or mutuals, reach out to them directly to ask if they'd be into it. I remember briefly playing around on a website called Chatzy for private chat rooms. I can't vouch for how it is now, but maybe that would be up your alley.

If you want more than text, then there's always a good drawing roleplay. Maybe you open up a Magma canvas and open it up to some friends or the public, and you doodle out some scenarios of your characters together. Maybe you find an online multiplayer game where you can goof around together. I can't say I know enough about VR chat to recommend it, but I'm told it's good to go in with a group of people you already know for that (and to be cautious about spicy stuff). Heck, you could probably do stuff like this in stuff like Minecraft if you wanted.

I know it can be scary to reach out to someone about this stuff, but I promise you, it's worth it. Be kind, be polite, and remember, the worst thing they can say is no. And it's okay to say no, that's not the end of the world. One door closed means another door is open somewhere else. Just remember, the person on the other side of the screen is in fact a person. They have a life outside of their phone that has them doing all sorts of things, and sometimes roleplays will be slow because of that. I know it's hard to wait, but waiting is worth it to have fun with someone whose company you enjoy.

If you're still anxious about being with real people, there's always playing life simulation games like The Sims. Most of the time, the base game is free for Sims 4, and there's so many mods you can download without ever needing to use Expansion packs. And on stuff like the Gallery, you can find lots of Sims of your favorite characters made by others, and you can tweak them to your liking. I personally love designing OCs and characters from my favorite media in games like this to play out their lives, romances, etc.

If you like text based games and want to imagine a character, a lot of my friends have been enjoying Fallen London recently. There's a lot of imagination and character creation you can do within the different scenarios they give you, and seeing all of their OCs from this has been a treat. There's also a messaging system there (that I keep neglecting to use, I'm so sorry guys) for a little bit of roleplay adjacent communicating between characters from real people, but it's not required. I'm sure there are other things like it out there that fit this niche, this is just the one I know of.

There are many ways to fill the part of your heart that loves roleplaying, and I promise you, it's worth it to take the time to try them. You will become a better writer and get better at socializing the more you exercise those skills, and ultimately, you'll find your people. And it's going to be so much fun! Just remember, be kind, get consent, and talk things out if you're unsure of where the boundaries are. It's gonna be okay, you've got this, you are gonna find something that works for you. I believe in you!

Text Issue

I logged onto my Computer at my house to start working on my Game and for some reason this happened.

However something interesting Continue isn't like this. This is probably because it is always the same across every single question.

I changed the Text Colour Black because I wanted that colour any ways so it would contrast with the Choice Button.

The Text was awfully big so I decided to select each Text Box and in Details

I searched up Size and Under Appearance and Under Font then in Size decreased it from 30 to 10.

This however also resulted in the Button's Size decreasing

However I thought to make sure they were the correct size again I would type in one of the Text's a long sentence to make multiple layers of words so the height of the Buttons would also increase. And not to my surprise this happened.

The Text not only went over the Button limit and the Vertical Box limit but also the whole Canvas. This is because there is no Wrapping for it as it is set to 0.0 and in Unreal 0.0=Infinity. Obviously it doesn't take Einstein to figure out that I don't want my Text to be off the screen, so I got to set up some Wrapping. In Details you search up Wrapping and then in Wrap Text At I put in 10.0

Then..

this happened. Now it Wraps too Early making its Height way too High and its Length way too short. So with some testing and trialling with the Numbers I got to.. wait hang on

No matter what I changed it to it would always be like this. At this point my only option was that I had to have 0.0 Wrapping and just keep my answers short.

I tried to fix the Text being all [A] by going into ClimateQuiz_Widget and selecting out of Variables Question Structure Question

Then went to Default Value and typed up 1+1 and other numbers as Answers.

Then I looked and saw there was no way to add another Questions so I looked at one of my blog post. Then I realised I was meant to do this in ClimateQuiz_HUD so I changed them back to what the Text Blocks say when I renamed them to.

Now in ClimateQuiz_HUD these are the Questions I have with the different Answers

There was another problem where the First Question wouldn't work so for simplicity both Questions will be 1+1 with the First Question's Answers will be 1, 2, 3, 4. Then the Second Question's Answers will be 2, 4, 3, 1 to make sure I know the difference.

It knows what I'm typing but it isn't showing it.

I added a High Score to the Score system but because this game is never going to need that anyways, and even if by some miracle it gets completed there is no way I will be able to make this High Score System work so I'm going to remove it.

In Score Card the Widget

Simply all I need to do is select it

And pressing <- Backspace, then poof its gone. Now in its Event Graph I just deleted the Code for it

And while I was still in here I decide to Change some things that I wanted to.

First my Restart Button is really small

So to change this I selected the Button and searched up Size, then Under Appearance then under Style then Normal (woah its 2025 you can't say that) then Image Size values.

And no matter what I set them as it didn't change anything it stayed the same size, so instead I simply dragged the Corners and made the Button bigger Manually

Then increased the Text by searching Size and changing the number to 60

Then changed the Font to the Minecraft one.

Then for my "you scored : 00" Text I changed it to "You Scored : 00" because I love my CAPS. But there is a line of Code that uses the Sentence "you scored :". This is in ClimateQuiz_HUD's Event Graph in Append I just needed to change the Text.

While testing I kept selecting different answers on the same question think that I had moved on. (This was partly due to the Glitched Text) and I forgot that I had to click Continue. To fix this I searched up Color and Opacity but it didn't work so I went to my Scorecard to check and it was actually Background Color and so I choose a Lime Green.
