However, with time he softened up to the idea of Uthorim, even if at one point he held a knife up to his neck and threatened him. It was really slow but Loke was falling in love with him, he just didn't know/realized it yet. When the incident at the casino happened Loke saw Uthorim shielding his little brother from a grenade he panicked, full on panicked. Yes, he was worried about his brother but he also worried about Uthorim. He was scared to death that he may have lost Uthorim and after checking him over and tending to his wounds and made sure he was stable and would make it he reflected on the whole thing and that's when he finally realized that he was in love with him. That moment was eye opening for him and it drastically changed his life and for the better. That's one Loke's most fondest memories.

I was thinking about a recent post Celyn put out about Loke and Jelani fighting about Lokws overbearing nature and how that pushed Jela into leaving (I so hope im remembering it correctly I haven't slept yet lol correctly me if im wrong) and how Uthorim would react to this/be involved.

Like I think its a sort of rock and a hard place situation because on one side is his love and on the other is his child. I can imagine requests being made to validate one over the other and things of that nature and Uth just having to take a step back and get really stern for a moment with them. Even if at the time it makes things harder.

Like I see it being a "Both of you sit down, I'm going to speak, you're going to listen and after that you can make whatever choices you have to make. You both have been so important to me and to watch you go at it like this tears me apart. Loke you have every right to want to see them safe but this is their life and their world. There are things they have to do and most of them are dangerous. I know why you are afraid but you have to have a little faith. Jelani I know you love Loke and are yearning for space, you've grown into such a strong and caring person that I've had the privilege to help guide. Please do not let frustration burn the bridge to the only family we all have. You are capable of walking the wastes and finding whatever it is out there you're hoping to find.

Usually he doesn't like bothering other people with anything he might have going on. He'd rather solve shit on his own than bother someone else.

However, since he's had these bouts of feelings of loneliness since he was a little kid he never really learned to deal with them in a healthy way and the tend to make him feel pretty bad, almost borderline broken and it's a feeling he doesn't like at all. When he's feeling lonely he quickly runs to certain people.

Loke. Having known him the longest and honestly better than anyone else on the planet he simply goes up to him, grabs onto him without needing to say a single word and Loke knows immediately. He's pretty soothing and gentle with him without the need to say much safe for a few phrases and reassuring the absolute heck out of him.

Angelus. These two have a few things in common so they can connect on a different level, not to mention that ever since they met they've been kind of healing each other in a way. Angelus is very caring, he shows affection through really personal means like touch, intimacy and lots of reassuring. When Jelani's feeling that way Angelus makes him his one and only priority and he won't falter until he feels better.

Trevor. He's the one that makes it his goal to distract while also lending an ear or giving advice if that's what he asked for and/or wants. He may be a little stern but he'll never tell him things he doesn't already knows. Trevor can also be very sweet and very loving making Jelani feel so much better in no time at all.

*Uthorim. He's like Trevor in the sense that he won't beat around the bush. He'll ask him directly why he feels that way and thinks it's true. He's going to very softly tell him things he needs to hear in order to realize that the voices and thoughts in his head are wrong. He can be so soft and intimate while at the same time being the voice of reason. These two have shared some very soft moments and it's something Jelani appreciates more than Uthorim will ever know.

It's not really so much as who he'd go to first. It's more like who's available to, as he puts it, "put up with his bullshit brain nonsense and let him cuddle for a bit till the sad goes away".

I wanna expand a bit on what Uth thought of Loke when they first met in fallout.

So like i said he saw Lo and knew he was a cornered animal that was looking for a gentle hand for once in his life. It was a but more than that. You see Uth wandered for years alone, no matter where he was he didn't form any real relationships. He is known as a killer for the highest bidder and a good one at that. Uth looked at Lo and saw someone who understood what it means to be a weapon first and person second. Loke was his chance to be a person again and Uth didn't wanna let that pass him by. He didn't know what they'd become but he knew it felt good to traveled with someone again, to care for another person. Another two people to be fair, little Jela was such a factor as well! Uth didn't wanna see another kid become a wasteland skeleton nor see Lo become something darker as a result. They saved each other.

I like to imagine a night Uth waking up to a knife to his neck and he has to fight his instincts to pull the trigger of the pistol that's pointed at Los side. Lo staring deep into Uths soul and a soft hiss of "I dont know what your deal is but just know im watching you." And Uth just nodding and in his head he's like "this is the one for me" lol

Writing the Uth timeline wip made me realize this big fucker is probably a known entity in the wasteland. Let alone his fallout backstory. It makes me wonder if Loke knew when they met or not. That depends on the timeline but let's go with the most recent part of his life.

Most people tend to think there's something off about him, he's really quiet, reserved even when he's relaxed and at ease. He could be having fun and laughing and even then it feels like he's trying really hard not to get too much attention from anyone. Most people classify him as shy with the way he moves, the way he usually positions himself to be either very close or behind either Angelus, Trevor, Radek, Loke, Uthorim or even Dagny.

For the most part people just assume he's shy, some can see a little more past that and see that he's anxious. Most of the time it leads to people setting Loke and Uthorim aside and asking if there's something wrong with him, a lot of times it's out of concern and other times it's checking to see if he's up to something.

Regardless the constant is people thinking there's something wrong with him. (They're not wrong in this assumption though.)

These two are fucking Ruthless, none of that crucifixion lite that the legion does. No no no they aren't strapping people to crosses they are NAILING people to crosses just full Vlad the impaler style and having breakfast!

Plus when you got the terror trio to back them up it's even worse! Jelani/Angelus/Trevor being the shock troops absolutely ripping into people like a hellstorm!
