Even without Jaune hopelessly wooing Weiss, he’d be having bleeding ears. (And eyes, and nose, and nightmares) Weiss isn’t the only banshee enrolled, and with everyone around them already being undead, nobody feels the need to keep the death out of their voices. That Jaune is alive doesn’t really get around until after the bullying arc is done

And banshees aren’t the only undead that have a negative effect on surrounding living. Ghosts make the air freezing cold (or blazing hot). Shades cause nightmares and hallucinations. Will o the Wisps act as a siren’s call, putting living into a daze. Moroi cause exhaustion and muscle aches

And that’s not even getting into the literal threats that vampires, zombies, and mummies are

Arkos Week 2018 - Day 5: AU

Vampire hunters, especially ones that were fresh to the job, were usually a cautious folk.  It came with the territory of course, as anyone could be a vampire’s thrall or even a full blooded vampire out to get you, and anything that seemed odd or out of place could be a trap or an ambush.  So when Jaune was approached by a vampire for protection of all things, he was wary, to say the least.  However, she offered to pay him a lot of money, and he was flat broke, so what could he say?

She was wandering about his house, wearing a blood red dress that matched her hair, seemingly curious about the items he had, from the old Arc family books and weapons to an action figure he had gotten when he was young.  She had told him her name when he begrudgingly accepted to take her in, Pyrrha Nikos, and that had made him more uncertain about all this.  The Nikos family was among the oldest and most infamous of the vampire bloodline, having survived throughout the centuries despite countless hunters going after them in an attempt to put an end to their reign; so why one would come to him was utterly beyond him.

He was about to turn on the TV, remote clasped in his hand, but Jaune couldn’t take his eyes off her.  Part of it was out of worry and caution, but he would be lying if it was also in part of how she looked.  He knew a lot of vampires used their physical charm to lure in a potential dinner, or fool a novice hunter, so he tried his best not to get drawn in.  Although, something seemed… innocent about Pyrrha.  Something was off, and he couldn’t tell what it was.

Jaune shook his head, not sure what exactly he was thinking, before turning on the TV to hopefully just get as much of this off of his mind as he could.  It was working… up until Pyrrha came up in front of him, drawn to the TV like a moth to a flame.

“Tell me, Mr. Arc, what is this… device of yours.”  She didn’t look at him as she asked, seeming to be too distracted by the images that were playing before her.

“It’s… a TV, a television?  You’ve… seen those before, haven’t you?”  He raised a brow, things getting increasingly odd, even for him.

“I… have not, Mr. Arc.  I haven’t had the chance to see the world in a long while…”  The vampire turned to him, frowning a little.  “Truth be told, that is part of why I hired you.  I have not been allowed to set foot out of my casket for who knows how long… everything is so different than it was last time I was free.”

“I… see…”  Jaune grimaced, not sure what he should be feeling right now.  “May I ask whhhhyyyy you weren’t let out?”

“My parents… my family…”  She frowned, clutching her chest as she started to recall.  “They put me away, saying that I was important for some prophecy, I don’t know what.  The only time they ever let me out was to occasionally feed.”

Jaune paused, mulling this newfound information over.  Part of him felt sorry for her, but there was this lingering doubt that this was just a sob story.  “...If that’s the case, then how did you escape?”

“I… I don’t know.  I was being pulled out to feed, but… then no one was there.  My home… no, my family’s home was abandoned.  I’m… not sure what happened, honestly, but maybe I just ceased to be useful?”  At this point, Pyrrha looked absolutely solemn, making Jaune feel more than a little guilty, even if he had a right to be suspicious of her previously.

“That… I… I’m sorry you had to go through all that.  No one, human or vampire, should ever go through something like that.”  With that, the hunter sighed, not sure what he was thinking as he went on.  “...Tell you what.  If we can figure out a way to have you feed without killing anybody, then… you can stay here as long as you want.”  Almost immediately, a good part of him felt absolutely stupid for making this offer, letting a vampire stay at his house, where he was most vulnerable.  By the look on Pyrrha’s face, none of this escaped her, as her eyes were wide in surprise.  They soon narrowed, and a small, innocent smile pulled at her lips.

“Thank you, Mr. Arc.  I appreciate your generosity.”  With that, she took a seat beside him, seemingly to join him in watching a show.  However, just as Jaune let out a breath of relief, that innocent smile turned into a sultry one.  “And I’ll only bite if you want me to~”

In just a matter of seconds, his face paled before gaining a deep red blush, which just made the vampire laugh quietly, happy with the reaction she got. The sudden temptress then simply rested her head on the rookie hunter’s shoulder, a hand reaching out for his other one, as she watched what was on in peace.

RWBY/Arkos AU where Jaune is a Vampire Exile, who decides to protect the innocent by feeding on monsters and villains....

Only he is bad at the fighting thing, and after a few bad fights gets rescued by Pyrrha (legendary moster hunter), who takes pity on him, helping him gain "Sanctioned" Vampire status, and eventually inviting him into her monster hunter Warband (after Jaune stabilizes/trains).

They fall in love and live happily.

Nora and Ren are already part of the Warband. Nora a demigod (The Storm) and Ren a mind-mage Tiefling.

Jaune: What the hell is divine sauce?

Qrow: Oh, well, I'm glad you asked.

Cinder: Has anyone seen Karen?

Jaune: You mean Cardin? I saw him over there arguing with the DJ.

Cardin: Look, I'm telling you! It's a simple request; "Explain This Feel"! It's a fucking cult classic!

Neo: (Shrugs)

Cardin: The fuck do you mean, "Meh"?!

Jaune: Ooh! I know this song!

Cinder: Well, it looks like someone recognizes you.

Jaune: Huh?

In front of Jaune, Qrow, and Cinder, danced a beautiful red-head with the most gorgeous emerald eyes they had ever seen. Wearing a wry smirk, she swayed her hips side-to-side in a hypnotic rhythm. With a wink, she licked her lips at the three.

Jaune: Is... Is she looking at me?

Qrow: Pfuh! As if! She's looking at the Harbinger, baby~!

Cinder: Yeah, that's not as sexy as you think it is.

Qrow: Watch and learn, kids. (Walks over, Chuckles) OH SHIT! (Flies backwards)

Jaune: ...So, she is looking at me.

Cinder: Well don't just sit there! Get up and go talk to her!

Jaune: W-Well, what do I say?

Cinder: Try one of your annoying pick-up lines.

Jaune: Uh, okay. Like, "Hey, beautiful. Are you my shield? Because I'd like to slide my sword into you~."

Cinder: Ugh, gross. Definitely not what you'd normally say.

Jaune: Uh, okay. "Pardon me, but I couldn't help but notice you're dancing alone, and thought you might like some company?"

Cinder: Somehow, that'd even creepier.

Jaune: "Hi, my name is Jaune"?

Cinder: (Sighs) And that's too fucking formal.

Qrow: Look, kid, just go up to her and be yourself.

Cinder: No! That is the exact opposite he needs to be!

Qrow: Shush! Listen, kid; a man is only a man if he's as comfortable in his own skin as the armor he wears. Being able to talk to a beautiful woman the same as you'd talk to your friends is the true mark of a huntsman. Now go on, my son. Spit your game!

Jaune: Yes, sir! (Gets up, Walk over)

Cinder: You really think he has a chance?

Jaune: Uh, h-hi! I'm, uh- I'm Jaune Arc. What's your-

Qrow: Fuck no! If I couldn't get it, what makes you think he's got a shot.

Jaune: Oh! You're hugging me! Oh! O-Oh, that feels nice...

Jaune and the mysterious woman were now entangled on the floor, with Jaune pinned beneath her. He thrusts his body into hers, dry humping as she moans. He screams as she buries herself deep into his neck, catching the eyes of numerous patrons around him.

Pyrrha: (Sucking on his neck) Mm~!

Cinder: Well, color me surprised. The knight has game.

Qrow: This is bullshit! That should be me macking with the hottie on the dancefloor!

Do I follow them? 

Absolutely! Missy was one of the first people I found in the RWBY RP community, and she’s been a favorite of mine ever since!

Why did I follow them?

Because Pyrrha is amazing, and Missy does such a wonderful job of portraying her! On top of that Missy is a lovely person, and it’s always enjoyable to read her writing, or hear about her LARPing adventures! (Best of luck for this weekend @miss-pyrrha-nikos-isms!)

Do We Role Play?

As much as we can, given our busy schedules. I’m really enjoying our Winter x Pyrrha threads. It wasn’t a ship I’d ever thought about before but now it’s one of my favorites... Still doesn’t beat Arkos though, but that’s a very tall order indeed.

Also thank you for RPing with me when I was still very new on this site. It really means a lot to me. And despite having RPed on here for about a year now I still feel like the junior partner whenever we interact. On the plus side it helps push me to be the best RPer I can.

An AU idea for our muses:

Honestly anything where Pyrrha and Winter are happy together is perfect, they have such a beautiful dynamic.

I may be a little late to the party but a supernatural AU with the two of them would be quite fun. Perhaps Winter is another vampire from an older dynasty, or perhaps she’s something else like a fairy from Irish mythology (although I will admit my knowledge on Irish folklore, and folklore in general pales in comparison to Missy’s, so I’d have to do some research).

(I’ve tried but nothing has really come to mind... sorry. I’m terrible at choosing songs)

Do I ship our Muses?

I do! Several of them in fact!

At one point I certainly shipped her and Braith, although I think it’s probably best that they remain friends, I like the hero/ fan dynamic. (Funnily enough Terra also views Pyrrha in a similar light. I like to think of Terra as one of Pyrrha’s favorite gym buddies because the idea of those two dorky redheads hanging out is too sweet to ignore!)

I definitely ship Winter and Pyrrha, it’s been incredibly fun seeing that romance blossom.

And I’m quite partial to Greek Fire too come to think of it...

What I think about the mun:

I’ll keep this brief, because otherwise I’ll wind up writing a whole essay.

Missy is one of my favorite people to RP on this website, and I consider her a very good friend, one of my best online friends, although we don’t talk as much as I’d sometimes like. Although given the difference in time zones, and schedules that’s perfectly understandable.

Arkos. Jaune comes from a LONG line of Vampire Hunters but he never got trained because as the only male he was too important for the line. So he does it anyway. He meets Dhampir Pyrrha who is hunting a pack of werewolves. They manage to do it because of Jaune being smart and Pyrrha's skill. She takes upon herself to train this noodleboy before he gets himself killed. The Poor Lonely girl never stood a chance and before she realized it she is trying to woo him.

Fanfiction Master Lists: Arkos

So, another writer I like has been posting a master list of her RWBY fanfics on here, and I thought it was a pretty good idea. It’s a new year, and I’d like to get more readers and more supporters on my Patreon. This first list will be all my fics containing Arkos. Note: Poly JNPR fics will be a separate list. A Rationed Recovery: Tired of the media attention and lack of privacy at home, Pyrrha tests out of Sanctum early in order to spend time on her own, roughing it in the Wilds. She underestimates the dangers of her endeavor and ends up collapsing near a village in Vale during a lockdown. Luckily, she is found and cared for by a young man named Jaune Arc. (Alternate canon. What manner of Dust is this, and why is it making them act in a way that is both incredibly unusual and utterly familiar? (My first RWBY fic. ^_^)
