If you really want to see a VX look good, you hook your camera up to an old 4:3 television from 1995. Or you put it on a DVD and watch it on one of those old TVs... But shooting on a VX, editing on Final Cut, and then putting it online to either watch on your flat screen or computer at home, it distorts and affects the look of the footage so much. I think it looks super shitty. You’re taking this interlaced video footage and making it progressive, because everything online is progressive. If you try to show it interlaced online, that’s when you get the lines and it looks even worse. There’s no way to really accurately present how a VX1000 is supposed to look now, unless you make people watch it on an old television off a DVD or VHS tape.

Chris Pfanner - backside flip. Cyprus. It was a pleasure to be there for some of the filming of #vanspropeller This was from a trip to the island of Cyprus. The island is half Greek and half Turkish. The countries are technically still at war with each other though fighting is pretty much nonexistent. We went to check out he Turkish side one day but couldn't find anything to skate so we came back to the Greek side where @chrispfanner did this massive backside flip. Can't wait to see the video @huntfilmwork ! Today's #sk8evolution post will be followed up by another backside flip from the archives of @peetigga Check it. #skatetheworldproject

We caught up with Active Pro team rider, Daniel Lutheran at his new pad in Long Beach after traveling the world for the Vans Propeller premier tour to talk about his experience. It was Cinco De Mayo and he had just came back the night before.

City Experience: My favorite city was Paris, I loved the creative beautiful energy of Paris.

Team Experience: Most solidified vibe as a crew for this trip. No egos no distance nothin but love. Truly proud team. Complete success!

Fans Experience: Loudest fans in Canada. Wildest fans in Mexico City.

Sleep Experience? No sleep at all. 3 or 4 hours a night max.

Food Experience: Shanghai straight up has rotten boiled eggs and chicken feet being served up at gas stations. Intense!

Airline Experience: We traveled 1st class, but kept our language/conversations last class. Business class travelers were shockedddddd!

Itinerary  Experience: No missed flights! Land,party,plane repeat. Owe it all to Griffin (Collins), Jamie (Hart), Steve (Van Doren), and Justin (Regan).

Stay Sane Experience: Booze and comradery.
