Does anyone else have sudden urges to go "dinosaur mode"?

I just walk down the hall, and my brain goes "claw at the walls with your long, dinosaur claws like a trapped raccoon". I look down at my short human nails and get sad.

"Imitate the Jurassic Park velociraptors," my brain tells me. "You are a majestic, feral beast that's faster than your useless human shape. Make the noises! Rip a steak apart! Don't use a knife! Screw humanity!"

Then, I try to run and get instantly winded.

Seekers are weird birds head cannons my beloved

Do you know those gliding wingsuits? Imagine a human wearing one of those and gliding in a mountain range. Unfortunately, that area is considered deception territory, and one of the elite seeker trine is sent out to investigate. As soon as the human is spotted, however, any cohesive thoughts are out the window because they look like a seekerling. That is a baby seeker alone in the cold!! Where is it's trine?? Baby alone and cold?? Seekers are highly social and very protective of their young, so for them, it's instinct to take care of any seekerlings they can find (I'm imagining either Skywarp or Thundercracker as the yoinker). They bring the human back to hq, and Starscream is infuriated

SS: How. How do you confuse a human for a seekerling?!

SW: BUT look at how stinking CUTE it is?! *holds up human*

TC:...They are really cute, and so small...

Poor human has just accepted their fate. But it's not actually that bad, all things considered. They get three extra friends to go flying with and get to hang with giant robots. The only problem is that they have three giant fighter jets posted up in their backyard (the human threatened to never go flying with the trine again if they didn't bring them back home).

That’s so cute 😭 I love the concept of wingsuiting! It’s really one of those purely human bad ideas that sound like it shouldn’t be done ever, but you see a video of it and…damn that’s cool.

Bird-Seekers and their new fledgling. Trying so hard to teach you to fly their way, but you can’t. You just know Starscream is going to make Shockwave make you a tiny jetpack or something. Jet powered hang glider.

…Or just teach you to fly in their alt modes. Then you come home one day and they’ve stolen a Eurofighter Typhoon for you and it’s just in your backyard. It’s a shame you weren’t born with wings, but you earned the sky. The trine is now a quartet.

Bonus point for them trying to feed you. And/or pushing you off cliffs to get you to fly. Because fledgling. And puffing up their armor and nesting on you. Defending you from anyone that’s not a Seeker.

only finally time to post this. also this isn’t a step-by-step tutorial. im assuming you generally know how to draw already, this is just a bunch of references compiled together that could help you draw them easier.

extra notes:

dont worry about a bunch of the smaller details. sentinels are littered with them and itd take ages to draw them if you tried to make them 100% every time. just focus on the bigger shapes and add from there.

their eyes ARE octagons, not circles. that being said it does not matter how you draw them because octagons are absolutely fucking obnoxious to consistently draw. i know, i have a half-sentinel oc, ive given up by now. do not place that burden on yourself. the rest of their face lights ARE circles though.

the smaller two flashers are part of their head ridges. their eyes are on a completely separate layer, and have duller ridges atop them. sentinels just have a lot of ridges in general.

if you want to use real-world dinosaurs as reference, i would use Velociraptor, Utahraptor, Deinonychus, and Dilophosaurus as references, given that theyre all similar in body shape and structure. In the concept art, Sentinels looked extremely like the Dilophosaurus, though it got switched to being more raptor-like in the actual show.

I also MORE THAN LIKELY drew their tail wrong. So if you wanna figure out its design on your own, go for it. I just had to put something down so I tried my best, but it is absolutely NOT perfect.

Same with their colors! they’re almost a completely solid grey so it was difficult for me to tell what colors went where, so I just kinda put em at random in that first image. Doing something completely different is also good, since nobody can tell anyways :)

and on a final note, you technically do not have to follow any of these!! stylize them all you want. these are just references for anyone that may want to draw them more accurately :)

[BW] Yandere!Dinobot/Reader [hcs/thoughts]

tw/tags: heat cycle, yandere themes, mentions of stalking, jealousy, possessiveness, a tinyy bit suggestive. word count: ~700 a/n: born to obsess over underrated characters forced to yap about the popular one (but I'm joking, I love them all, I'm just sad that Beast Wars is not talked about as much as other shows).

some quick thoughts in between requests because if I don't express it now, i will forget about it.

okay hear me out on...yandere Dinobot. I know Beast Wars is not really popular in the fandom, but oh my god, this ugly handsome man

we all saw that maximals/predacons share those animalistic traits that are connected to their beast modes. Rattrap likes to chew on scrap, Cheetor acts like a cat and even meows, Tigatron considers white tigers as some kind of family; Tarantulas and Blackarachnia have that rivalry for obvious reasons (bad for him).

it would be funny if they also had some type of cybertronian heat cycles.

even though Dinobot is heavily influenced by Jurassic Park velociraptors, I still feel like he'd act like a big bird rather than a lizard. or something in between, of course.

Yandere!Dinobot is overprotective and snappy as hell, to the point he considers even other maximals as a potential danger to you. Unlike more rational bots, Dinobot has no shame at all. It would cost him an arm and a leg to admit it to you, but he's actually jealous. Of what? There's no need to find any reason to explain his behavior once the season starts.

Yandere!Dinobot is vocal; he will growl, hiss and snap his teeth at anyone who tries to approach his mate. All maximals know that it's not the time to come near the two of you, but the unrespectful predacons...I'm a sucker for duos, their possibilities, and to imagine the dynamic between Megatron/Dinobot, both trying to court the poor reader.

But once the two of you are alone, I can see him having those rare moments where Dinobot lets himself relax. Most of the time he's in a constant state of alert, the dangerous mix of his primal instincts and  that warrior code of his just tells him to take you somewhere far-far away, so no maximal or predacon will get you. So maybe he can rest just for a little with you next to him. Dinobot definitely makes soft purrs, even to his own surprise.

Yandere!Dinobot is a stalker. Maybe, when it's just the start of the relationship between the two of you, he will try to somehow justify it, at least. Like, “I am just testing your skills, a true warrior must be always alert. You don't know when the predacons attack you next” , but the more you grow closer to him, the more he lets himself be a tiny bit warmer to you “You should not wander off alone. Stick closer to me”.

Read it, and don't forget a little personal nickname he has for you, which he adds at the end of the sentence.

It will also be funny to imagine Dinobot being a little too invested in building a nest. It also gets more awkward if your beast mode is some far different species. Why would he need to collect your stuff from your room? And why is he so adamant about you always staying in his room? He is holding you so tightly that you practically have no chance but to stay. So clueless!

“Is that [...] from my quarters?”

“Just be quiet and start recharging, you irresistible fool!”

Dinobot himself is a little embarrassed too if you start asking too many questions. He doesn't like being all vulnerable, even though he trusts you very much to know that you will never make fun of him. His own mind is clouded with not so innocent thoughts, and it actually becomes a big problem when he tries to focus on his training or fighting.

I don't think Dinobot would try to attract you with those silly dances reptiles/birds do to impress their mates, but when he is in his beast mode, you can definitely notice his tail wagging just a little bit when you're around. Rattrap probably picks on it faster than you and teases Dinobot about it until the two start fighting again.

What he’d choose: A lion.

Regal. Dominant. Has a mane. Roars loud. Sleeps 20 hours a day while others hunt for him. Checks all the boxes.

What he really is: A peacock.

Flashy. Vain. Intimidating from afar, but absolutely useless in actual functionality. 99% feather, 1% bite. Screams loudly for attention.

Kars

What he’d choose: A black panther.

Sleek. Graceful. Predatory. Deadly. Smart. Has a flair for style. He’d be like, “I am the apex predator. Bow.”

What he really is: A cat with a superiority complex. Like a Himalayan that sits on a throne of silk pillows and claws you when you blink wrong.

Wamuu

What he’d choose: A wolf.

Loyal. Fierce. Strong sense of honor. Fights for the pack. Big dramatic howl energy.

What he really is: A very good dog- like an Akita or German Shepherd.

Protective. Stoic. Dies for his master with no hesitation. Sleeps curled up like a cinnamon roll.

Esidisi

What he’d choose: A tiger.

Flashy, strong, emotional, big claws, hot-blooded- he’d absolutely want to be a tiger.

What he really is: A chihuahua.

Screams. Shakes. Has zero chill. Will literally bite someone’s ankle and start crying about it five minutes later.

Silent. Observant. Fluid movement. Definitely thinks he’s cool and mysterious.

What he’d choose: A red dragon.

He wants to be majestic, terrifying, untouchable. Full RPG final boss mode.

What he really is: A housecat trapped in a closet having an existential crisis.

Hisses at his own reflection. Paces for 20 minutes. Screams. No one can find him half the day.

I was really hoping to catch Bug doing this, as she does it all the time and closer but... Enjoy this little guy engaging velociraptor mode/Naruto run instead.

Sometimes peas just get really stupidly excited, and they will do this special little run where they put their head down low, and they'll hold their wings funny, and they just go bolting around, often hopping, sometimes hopping so much it turns into short flights. When one bird sees another doing it, they often get similarly excited and start running and bouncing around too. Bug usually riles up her siblings bolting up and down their pen outside and they'll go careening around inside.

It is SO FUNNY to watch them just drop all pretense of dignity and turn into a little monster hunting for chaos. I have to imagine velociraptors did this, too. Just suddenly no thoughts, only joy and mayhem.

we all know that the creators of beast wars based their design of dinobot off of the velociraptors from Jurassic Park. I mean, its quite obvious, its even the same color pallet

however, if you're a nerd like me, you know that the velociraptors in JP are about the farthest from accuracy as you can get when it comes to that animal

in reality, the creators of Jurassic Park(and by extension the creators of BW) based the JP velociraptor off a different, related animal that was closer to the actual size of their raptors

I believe it was the fossil of that animal that was scanned into dinobot's alt mode

so, my lovelies...

Dual Rulers: Episode 6

Fates Clash once More Spoilers (Get used to it)

We’ve cut away from Last Episode’s scene of Fiery Violence, to a Non Sequitur Map of Ancient Japan (or at least, the Narrator Reminds us Japan got Destroyed at least).

(Sugita is in Cool Voice Mode, I guess?)

The age of the Warring States, the Sengoku Period… and a Fleeing-for-his-very-Life Axl Low.

(Fun Fact: Axl got sent to the Pre Cretaceous Period and Fought a Velociraptor at one point. He doesn’t seem to have his Chain-sickles this time around, however.)

They call his ability “Causal Anomaly”, but it’s just a fancier way to describe his Time Slipping/Time Tripping before he got a handle on his power after Xrd’s events. By the way, I-No’s power was called “Temporal Change” in the Drama CDs.

Anyway, Axl clumsily tries to get out of another pickle only to get chased again! (Please read the Axl+Low tag on my blog for more details on his powers!)

We cut back to the grisly scene from last Episode. Jack-O’ seems hurt, Baiken is cautious, Johnny is grounded, and a sea of flames surrounds a seething Sin Kiske.

The man formerly known as Nerville Hammer begins a diatribe on how foolish Humans and Gears have been.

Across a Frozen Future, he had returned to the Present Time to rule it.

Sin’s metallic roar vibrates the air drifting around the flames.

Erica reports her findings to President Groubitz… due to the Virus, Sin and other Gears around the world have gone berserk, with Sin at the very core of the cause.

The wavelength matches Dizzy’s as well. The virus has appeared to awaken Sin’s Command Type ability to control other Gears.

Unika apparently reported success in gaining control of the Magic Satellite Weapon (a small victory, however fleeting).

Erica reminds the President of the threat the Gears pose, he gives the order to activate the Satellite once more, but to NOT pull the trigger.

Erica confirms, but says they cannot wait forever.

Vernon places his bet on Sol Badguy one more time…

Screaming and Chaos is seen, as Dormant Gears begin to move.

Sin is resisting his power with all his strength, as Nerville continues to insult and berate Gears, saying they pretend to be human, but underneath are nothing but killing machines.

Fangs form in Sin’s mouth, his limbs and fingers undulate and twist, and he clenches his fists, still trying to grasp this incredible force within him.

Nerville dares Sin to destroy all those he loves, as Sin howls against the Virus.

A Gear’s massive limb reaches (seemingly) to crush an innocent family, but stops just moments before.

Sin’s body now something twisted and incomprehensible, as Dormant Gears the world over malfunction from the virus.

Sin’s body flips, contorts, and twitches.

Nerville taunts him again, saying it’s pointless, even if his willpower is impressive.

The virus appears to be eroding at Sin’s brain, and at most he’s only bought a few minutes’ time.

Sin only barely manages to speak, as if his voice was made of a strange metallic distortion.

He rattles out “Don’t… underestimate me…”

Sin’s body shudders and twists once more as he screams, as if the very shape he takes is his attempt at defiance.

“Even if it takes ten years… a hundred years… It all starts with ONE MINUTE at a time!”

Hammer calls him a fool, saying that he is a weapon made to kill (even if Sin was born naturally).

Sin’s bloodshot eye gazes at his memories… of the promise he made to the old man, and Sol’s promise to him.

We are taken back to a time when Sin was less than a year old, but still growing at an incredible rate.

Ky has just asked Sol to raise Sin in his place.

Ky, with an eyepatch of his own, asks Sol to teach Sin how to use his power.

Dizzy asks Sol to guide Sin as well, knowing they both have failed as parents. But it was unthinkable to raise Sin in the newly formed Kingdom of Illyria in 2183, largely populated by Humans… who would not accept a Gear Child like Sin in their world.

If the world knew the Royal Family of Illyria had a Gear for a son, peace would surely crumble.

Ky begs for just a little more time.

Sol, his usual past self, bluntly says Politics isn’t a child’s problem.

But Sol relents. He’ll do this for Sin’s sake, but in return…

Sol hands Ky a pair of small guns.

“If the worst happens… shoot me with that.”

At the time, Sol was a very Powerful Prototype Gear, stronger than most.

A Human to Gear conversion comes with incredible risks, much as it happened to Sol in the first place (being one of the rare cases to survive the process). Such power could crush people, if not kill them outright.

Sol’s power at that time far surpassed any nation’s military forces.

A safety switch, of sorts… was the purpose of the gun.

Dizzy chimes in, that she is just as potentially dangerous as a Command Type, and would need a bullet of her own as a “safety switch”. The purpose of the other gun.

A bullet to suppress Gear Cells completely.

Sol asks her if she’s sure she wants one, as it will work on Sin just as well as herself.

Dizzy says that Sol is the only one she trusts to pull the trigger.

Sol (Frederick Bulsara) of the Present Time, loads the gun, with a face of sadness and regret as he points the gun at his Grandson.

Nerville mocks Sol.

Sol hesitates again.

A brilliant solution to “save” the world, at the cost of family.

Sin rages once more against his powers.

Sol calls out to Sin, he turns, recognizing the old man.

Baiken yells to stop the tragedy.

Sol fires. To everyone’s surprise (and even dismay).

Sin falls…

Every Gear struggling with the Commands issued by Sin now returns Dormant.

The signal has ceased, but Vernon wonders if it’s over?

What happens to Sin now?

Nerville mocks Sol once more, as if to call him a Murderer of his own (even if it’s not the first time).

Nerville concludes that those with Power thrive on Conflict and oppress the Powerless. And so he seeks to consume everything, and blanket the world himself.

By using Axl Low. (!?)

Axl had met with Immortals and those with Long Lifetimes many times before, even made friends.

Eventually Axl gained control over his power, but…

Even he can’t see the Future.

In a closed Timeline unknown to us, Axl Low witnesses the clash of the millennium: A Mother and her Son.

Sin and Dizzy, battling for an unknown reason.

Both fire a Gamma Ray, and the energy meets in a massive blast.

Axl is barely conscious, hears a child call to her father.

Just as Nerville planned.

Axl wakes, desperately chugging his drink and eating food provided by Nerville Hammer and Unika, survivors of the 2nd Crusade.

It was Unika who found Axl, so it seems.

Nerville points out that Unika never knew her real parents, lost to the war.

Axl is shocked to hear this news.

It was apparently Dizzy’s Order as Command Type, that all Gears reawaken (though it is unclear the cause).

Axl watches the carnage stream with disbelief, but is moreover surprised to know that Nerville Hammer even knows who Axl is!

Nerville says he knows all about Axl’s power, a power that could erase this tragedy.

But Axl already knows the implications, it could destroy an entire Timeline.

Nerville argues, if nothing is done, all life on the planet will cease.

Axl asks the obvious question.

Nerville says Dizzy sought to erase all the Gears (possibly as a failsafe), and compelled Gears to follow in self termination.

Axl immediately states she’d never do that, and looks at Nerville suspiciously.

As if Axl’s whole argument was futile, Nerville Hammer reveals the virus he created and its purpose.

But just as Axl begins to react, it’s revealed the food and drink he was given were drugged. And Axl Low passes out.

Nerville Hammer continues his speech, claiming to have seized Fate itself.

That he would brag to grant true salvation to the world!?

Unika weakly calls out to her father (or what’s left of him).

But she is mercilessly kicked aside.

Nerville knew who Unika’s parents were the whole time… calling her potential “cursed”. Like a thief in the night, kidnapping a child to feed them poison and lies.

A “monster” that defies the “purity” of human blood.

(Thus we confirm the truth: Unika is Sin’s Sister, Dizzy and Ky’s Daughter.)

Nerville mockingly calls Unika’s refusal to die a “rejection to atone for the sin of existence”.

But just as Nerville seeks to land a mortal blow…

A certain FLAG is KEPT FLYING.

Black Lightning deflects Hammer’s attack.

By some miracle it’s Sin, though still burning through his Magic from the bullet Sol shot him with.

But the effect appears to also have fried the Virus in his system!

It’s gradual, but Sin slowly begins to return to his senses.

Nerville calls it a farce, but it bought everyone some time to recover.

Nerville begins to give another speech, but his body begins to glitch out, twist, and mutate.

A body, created to surpass Gears.

The strange mutation shreds itself out of Hammer’s body, a cartoonish parasite, far more disgusting and grotesque than any Gear ever seen.

Baiken rushes to meet it with her blade, but it catches her sword with ease.

Baiken is punched aside with brutality, as the multi eyed creature seeks to demonstrate what a perfect life form is.

It forms a drill with its appendage, and to the shock of everyone, begins to cut itself in two!

But this was, in fact, a ruse. Like an amoeba, this othertimely imp has now split in to two of itself! Their bodies having fully regenerated.

But the pair still continue to replicate, and eventually there are four of them.

Baiken, sensing they were immortal attacks using her Kabari Hookchain, but the creature twists around the chain and races to attack Jack-O’!

Jack-O’ evades the rush, sending out her Dopulos.

While one imp evaded her attack, the other she was aiming for was struck, assisting Baiken.

Even if Nerville is multiple beings, he seems bad at teamwork with himself. The creatures rebut that Gods are meant to be Alone.

They rush in to strike but it’s deflected by Tatami Gaeshi.

Jack-O’ deflects another with a super-human kick!

The two ladies strike together, sending the imps flying.

But this seems to have had no effect!

Sol begins to press his own attacks against his own version of Nerville, only for the creature to evade every swipe of his OutRage blade.

Nerville continues to mock Sol as he dodges, even knowing he was the Flame of Corruption!

Before he can utter another word, Sol grabs him by the face and slams him to the ground with a pinning Wild Throw.

But Sol’s “Terrible Toss” has just become a “Terrible Knock”!

“TYRANT… RAVE!”

He pulls the blade’s trigger to the twisted Nerville-Imp’s face, a point blank immolation and severance!

Sol is breathing hard in the dreadful blaze he just created.

But it seems being reduced to ash was not possible for the imp, having regenerated faster than the flames could consume.

To exceed the very limits of Heurhythmic Control, such is the madness Jack-O’ now faces.

The imp rebuts her theory by saying it’s easy with Infinite Time!

She continues to dodge the imp’s drill, only to be pincered by another drill… but before she is ground to bits, a loving Grandson comes to her rescue!

Sin deflects both drills, now angry and fully his former self!

Sin tries to press in his attacks, only to get mocked and held by his face.

Baiken calls out, Sin gets thrown, and Baiken just barely manages to break his fall.

Another drill is aimed at Sin’s face even before he can recover, but this time the attack is deflected by Sol!

Sol tells Sin and Baiken to step back!

Sol deflects the drill and tosses a pair of grenades, but the imp pierces through, unfazed by the blast.

Sol gets kicked away instead, as Nerville continues to mock him.

A Divine Blade… strikes at Nerville’s arm.

Johnny managed to cut him, but Nerville even seems to know Johnny’s Sword school and Master Hirofumi’s sword style.

Johnny utters the final technique.

The Divine Blade… cuts at Nerville’s inhuman heart.

That’s the Name… Johnny carries!

At least two of the imps are vivisected, and Johnny tells the others to aim for his heart.

Promptly, Jack-O’ punts a servant who begins a chain grab which results in a lethal kick to the creature’s core.

Baiken follows suit with her own Tate Shunmaku… a fatal heart strike “a curtain fall”.

Sol roasts the remaining imps.

But they still hear Nerville’s haunting laughter in the skies above…

A foul storm cloud of black tentacles overhead, massive tentacles, each with their own legions of black creatures easily-replicated.

A black infinite demon, aspiring to be a god.

Imps by the millions begin to rain down from the sky…

Unika looks up… wondering what has happened to what was once her “father”.

In the face of annihilation and skies of despair, what do the Beasts of War see?

. . .

A promise made between rivals, a self sacrificial family, and a lost daughter.

Suffering across generations.

A sword swung to protect.

A “family” born under the weight of an “arsenal”, as if it were a curse.

A future that might need to be sacrificed.

And a human who forgot he was human.

I don’t need to tell you how I feel about this series. It remains close to my heart as it ever has. I’m sure it’s the same for many of you.

Even if we only have a little time left before the anime ends, it’s only a soft reminder of how DEEP this series is, despite being a fighting game franchise.

And we have more to come before this month is over!

What else is there for me to say, as a fan since 1998?

With the recovery of the militarized printer cores, things are looking pretty good for Stefan's planned planetwide demonstrations. The Lancers agree to help out on the day of, which means Stefan owes them a favor.

After getting the list of places Stefan thinks are most critical to protests:

Raiju and Sunshine decide to hold the line at the MilAgro Enforcement Armory, to keep an eye on where any organized police or military response is going to come from

Rook oversees the main protest in the plaza in front of MilAgro corporate HQ

Daylight parks her Vlad in the clone housing district since that's the most likely target of reprisals

(Magpie is off-screen doing e-war stuff)

Once the protest kicks off things seem quiet but Rook notices increasing police presence in the plaza, Daylight gets word of mechs approaching the clone district, and when Sunshine and Raiju scan one of the green-striped helicopters traveling to and from the Enforcement Armory, they find that military equipment is being brought in instead of shipped out. Not wanting to get caught flatfooted, Raiju just blows one of the transport helicopters out of the sky.

Things kick off rapidly from there, though the opfor doesn't have the initiative they expected. A hurried broadcast by one Lucien Trulock indicates a faction of the MilArgo board supports the Guardian Fleet, and have thrown in with the Shield Frontier who have supplied equipment and mechs that are now marching out of the Enforcement Armory. Sunshine does their best to combat Shield Frontier propaganda broadcasts while helping Raiju slow their advance. Rook makes a hole in the constricting police cordon around the plaza to evacuate protestors, and Daylight starts conducting hit-and-run attacks on the mechs advancing on the clone housing, eventually bringing down a block of apartments to cover the evacuation of civilians.

In a second broadcast, Trulock triumphantly announces that the Shield Frontier has taken control of MilArgo's experimental land battleship the Argo and it's superheavy ship-class weapon is pointed at the Eye of the Tiger, which is being herded into range by Shield Frontier subline warships. The Lancers advise Captain Borrego to take the Tiger out of range of the Argo's main weapon even though that means it will take some hits from the Shield Frontier wolfpacks. But even with the Tiger safe, there's still the Argo to deal with...

As the Lancers head to the battlezone, the massive enemy warning flashes on their consoles. This isn't the first time they've seen it - the same warning pops up when they get too close to a battleship. But this time, the warning flickers and is replaced with something else:

With that message of encouragement from Arjhet and Tehjra, the lancers engage.

Outcome: The Argo destroyed on round 7

Analysis:

Every Lancer GM, deep in their heart, wants to run something like a Behemoth one day. Despite that, I knew going into this that I didn't actually like the Behemoth Brawl setup. It's basically a damage check - can the Lancers do x damage in y rounds? I felt - and still feel - that it doesn't provide enough back and forth as regular sitreps. I tried to remedy that by providing two twists.

The first twist: Lottie Wisely, a reporter from Argus Syndicated Networks (seen above hunkered down on the top-left rocks) was watching the fight. The players decided not to interfere with her drones, which worked out well since they ended up winning the fight.

The second twist: the Shield Frontier is using hardcopy orders and intelligence, scrubbing as much of their footprint as they can from the omninet. The Argo had a signals room where a lot of this was stored. A PC (in this case Magpie) could dismount their mech and board the Argo to try to recover this intel, which they did, along with some MilAgro cultural artifacts that can be used as leverage to help resolve this attempted coup.

Despite all that, the actual fight got very same-y once the PCs destroyed the Argo's hardpoints. Behemoths was reduced to launching missiles at everyone within range 15, which is kind of a boring thing to do multiple times per round. It did destroy Destructive Interference, which isn't really impressive since it's a Goblin, but that did leave Murgatroid and Osiris bickering over whose fault it was.

The Argo's missiles are Knockback 1, which is kind of cheap especially as they can prevent an Apocalypse Rail from charging. There isn't really anything to counter Knockback aside from being flat-out immune to it. So overall I feel like the Behemoth statline needs to be reworked to work for me.

I think next time I run something on the scale of the Argo (and there will be a next time) it's going to be treated more like terrain than a specific thing to shoot at. Turrets popping out of armored blisters, on-board mechs deploying, maybe some fuckery with control points moving around, that kind of thing. I think I've been proven correct in my assumption that basically having one thing to shoot at doesn't work for Lancer.

Next Time: the new MilAgro?

Created as a less clumsy and more mature version of Grimlock, Arachnosaur was built by Wheeljack and Peter Parker to guard the All-Spark. As an Autobot Cyber-Ninja, Archnosaur is Grimlock’s right hand man- er, teen. Preferring to use unarmed combat, his web-shooters and fire-breathing abilities, Arachnosaur is the shortest and most agile of the Dinobots (alongside Slash). Transforming from robot to velociraptor, he can pick up any scent and is able to locate his target under 45 seconds. An open-minded individual, he enjoys long walks on the beach and seaside sunsets, but hates whenever anyone treats his fellow Dinobots as unintelligent creatures.
