Omega4Omega JiuYuan ends up with Shen Yuan adopting all the disciples me thinks
Also Shen Jiu is always like, one wrong move from tearing the throat of any nearby Alpha out of their bodies
Oh the disciples love Shen Yuan, and in return Shen Yuan adores the disciples. Shen Jiu is constantly rolling his eyes and telling him that he coddles the children too much but Shen Yuan just gives him a sweet smile, unhidden by one of his stolen fans that he seems to like so much, and tells him someone has to if he won’t.
Shen Jiu is more willing to accept Shen Yuan spoiling his students after the first time he hears one of them call his A-Yuan shimu. Well he is after he dragged Shen Yuan back to their home and showed him exactly what he thought of his students thinking Shen Yuan as his wife did to him. (If he himself starts to treat his students a little more gently so Shen Yuan doesn’t frown at him and sleep in the spare room then that is his business and anyone stupid enough to say anything about it frankly deserves what he does to them)
Shen Jiu is always willing to murder any alpha. At all times. This man would tear an alpha’s throat out with his teeth if given the slightest reason… which is unfortunate for his martial siblings who are mostly alphas. His is however incredibly protective over other omegas, particularly his disciples. He and Qi Qingqi have an understanding when it comes to new omegas and by understanding I mean they will go to war over claiming them as their disciples but will team up if it means one of the alpha peak lords not getting them.
He has even growled at an alpha on Shang Qinghua’s behalf and to this day neither of them will admit it ever happened.

Commission for @lormando, a drawing of a notable wrestling moment which was described to me thusly:
"If you need context for the picture, the wrestler in the air (Jon Cruz [young, foolish]) is attempting to dive onto the other wrestler (Samoa Joe [veteran, smug]). Samoa Joe is seen here utilizing an extremely powerful counter move known as 'just walk away from the guy'."
(commission info here!)
Reference image below the cut, because it's very good.

Hello! First of all, I just came on here to say thank you for all of the hard work you do to make Villainous an easier fandom to experience for non-Spanish speakers who are fans of the show, you are the best!
Second, I had a question: I am new to the fandom so I have been wanting to learn new things about the show through things like livestreams and videos on YouTube. But for some reason all of the livestreams from Alan I come across are private. Do you know why this is? Also, is there any way to see those streams anymore? Thanks!
Hey! Thank you for the kind words! :)
There was never an official statement about why they made the livestreams private, I suspect it's a CN thing. Either way some of them are uploaded here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1XWfiRKEFUe7VXZ7BDdCP9NnuekAeIpSw
Enjoy! And don't forget I've summarized ALL of them under the villainous livestream tag.

Impmon was a minor antagonist in Digimon Tamers, having found his child Tamers Ai & Mako to be selfish and bratty and left them. He was merely a nuisance until his Warp Digivolution into Beelzemon. As Beelzemon, he was a serious threat. He would go on to atone for his sins as Beelzemon: Blast Mode.
According to some sources, had Impmon Digivolved the normal way, he would have Digivolved to Meramon, and SkullMeramon before becoming Beelzemon.
When he returned to the Digital World, he reverted to Yaamon.

merlin's role in arthurian canon is very funny & interesting to me cause he seems to tick every stereotypical 'who will betray the king' box. royal advisor. sorceror. extremely morally questionable. literally half-demon. appears to have an incredibly dangerous level of influence over arthur to the point where he can tell him to enact his very own massacre of the innocents cause he isn't sure which may day baby is mordred and arthur just DOES. not to mention that contrary to modern popular canon he has basically zero personal beef with morgana and remains pretty tight with her despite her attacks on camelot. so you see all this and you think well your majesty surely he means you harm!! but NO it turns out this weird little wizard who the king keeps around for moral support is actually the single most loyal person in court. i mean king arthur is like betrayals georg the way he is collecting duplicitous individuals. guinevere lancelot mordred morgana briefly gawain truly ALL his nearest and dearest backstabbed him at some point but not his no. 1 magic freak. he's his only real ride or die. anyway bbc merlin is maybe the closest I've seen to really capturing this dynamic
#if anyone is interested in some sources/ brief elaboration#the may day massacre is included in le morte du arthur#it also appears in some earlier sources although arthur doesn't always agree to do it#merlin being half demon is part of his mythos basically from the start - first described by geoffrey of monmouth#later the verse merlin (c. 1200s) takes this a step further by making him the literal intended antichrist who is saved by baptism#his relationship with morgana is also included in a lot of sources#usually he is the one who teaches her magic and they are either close friends or romantically involved (sometimes this is one-sided)#despite morgana's characterisation becoming increasingly more villainous as the legends developed they are not usually enemies#the post-vulgate suite is a particularly notable source in that it's one of the only times we see morgana actively hate him#but it isn't even mutual#after learning all she can from him she decides he's annoying and threatens to torture and kill him if he doesn't leave alone#(many sources describe him as having a 'joking personality' so i just like to think she didn't find him funny. sick of his fucking jokes)#and he's just really sad about this cause he loved her. just a bit of a tough thing to hear#later on he saves her from execution after she attacks camelot which is pretty much the only time we ever see him go against arthur#ultimately the vibe you get from them is that they are kin in a way and their relationship is seperate from anything going on wrt camelot#they are magical ageless beings who are part of their own story off to the side. they just happen to also be instrumental to this one#ok these tags are getting long I'll be brief about the last one#gawain's brief betrayal of arthur is included in le morte du arthur and the vulgate cycle#when arthur is about to burn guinevere at the stake for adultery he knows lancelot will try and rescue her#so he tells all his knights to guard the pyre and gawain is like no this is kind of fucked up. and i love lancelot he's my bestie🤞#in fact maybe i like him more than YOU. so i'm gonna sit this one out actually i'm really not fucking with you right now#unfortunately his beloved brothers gareth and gaheris end up getting killed in the conflict though which turns him against lancelot :((((#this part makes me unreasonably sad like they were best friends guys...now forced apart...#on his deathbed gawain does then write to lancelot to apologise and reconcile with him#but when lancelot arrives he's ALREADY DEAD and he spends two nights weeping at his tomb#oh and how could i forget!! the reason he was on his deathbed is because he challenged lancelot to a duel and asked him to kill him!!!#which he refuses to do and grants him mercy because he still loves gawain and never wanted to fight him :(((#but little did he know he mortally wounded him anyway. guys. guysss#ok i lied i wasn't brief about that at all

Lalla Ward makes a brief appearance as Lady Augusta, intended bride to an ill-fated aristocrat, in A Ghost Story for Christmas: The Ash Tree (BBC, 1975)
#fave spotting#lalla ward#doctor who#a ghost story for christmas#the ash tree#1975#romana#romana ii#spoilers for the ash tree ig????#i mean it's pretty obvious from the outset that Ed Petherbridge's aristo is not in for a good time#i mean he's a Jamesian protagonist for one thing....#lalla had been acting since the beginning of the decade‚ with a fair number of one off appearances on tv and the odd film to her name#(most notably Hammer's Vampire Circus). she was still a few years off DW and genre immortality at this point#it isn't the most rewarding role; James (who i don't think many would argue that he wasn't a bit of a chauvinist) rarely featured#significant women characters in his work (a large number of them being academical in setting didn't help). actually the ash tree#is something of an outlier in that regard‚ as it does feature a significant female character in Mrs. Mothersole‚ but we can hardly consider#her a positive feminine presence... actually one of Lawrence Gordon Clark's regrets about this particular entry in the Ghost Story for#Christmas canon is the failure of him and writer David Rudkin to make a true villain of Mothersile; Clark felt that their shared sympathies#for the historical victims of witchhunting prevented them from capturing the 'evil' of the character (tho it's debatable how much James#himself intended her to be truly evil; this is just Clark's opinion after all‚ and fwiw i think Rudkin's greater complexity of the#character is more interesting‚ more believable and more appropriate)#i rambled. anyway yes‚ not a meaty role perhaps‚ but Lalla sinks her teeth in all the same and in just a few brief scenes successfully#creates a vivid and fully realised character‚ a charming and flirtatious fiancée with something of a rebellious streak#no ash tree post bc i made one the last time i watched it a couple of years ago

One thing I love about tower prep is that the student villains are divided into basically Rooks, students who pick a fight with Ian for no reason, students who have their own plan going on but in a way that inconveniences our heroes, and Ross who almost kills everyone with a bioengineered plague. One of these things is not like the others!

In Digimon Frontier, Koichi Kimura was tricked into using the corrupted, itemised spirits of an ancient Digimon to Spirit Evolve into the evil Duskmon.
Koichi used the corrupted Human Spirit of Darkness to become Duskmon, and the corrupted Beast Spirit of Darkness to become Velgrmon. Though we never see it on-screen, some sources suggest that, by combining the spirits, he could have become Oboromon.
While we never see it happen in the anime, certain sources suggest that Koichi, as Duskmon, could have become Gazimon under certain circumstances.
These powers come from the spirit of the ancient legendary warrior, AncientSphinxmon of the Ten Legendary Warriors.

tbh I'm a little worried about fat representation in my characters; I got over my own stupid issues very recently and still am recovering from an ED so I'm not really experienced with doing it all. I don't quite understand what is acceptable and what is not really.... I guess as long as you don't make fun of the fact that certain character is fat and don't portray them as "ugly" you're fine, but there may be some micro issues I don't have a grip on yet?

Look, I didn't actually hate the new Wish movie. I didn't love it, either, but I didn't hate it. Some of the songs were catchy, the more subtle easter eggs were fun to recognise, there was some fun ideas in the magic system.
The thing was, the story had bones in there to be really good, and they missed it. I'm not even necessarily talking about the original concept, about the Star being humanoid (although that would have helped a lot - not even necessarily as Asha's love interest, just that it would have made the Star an actual character instead of a prop). I think what annoyed me more was King Magnifico being set up as well intentioned, and then that was completely forgotten.
He was sympathetic. His goal was to keep his kingdom from burning down. He was traumatised and trying not to let history repeat. And then the movie even went out of its way to inform us that the book - the book he only opened out of desperation - was corrupting, that it was a direct result of a curse that Magnifico was getting crueller, that this curse was permanent, and just... forget about it. Whoops, villain is defeated, toss him in the dungeon without a further thought.
Instead, you know what I think would have done wonders for making the plot more cohesive and fitting together the themes, plus actually tying together that whole "A wish is the most powerful magic!" lore, and even giving what should have been a protagonist but was kinda just a torch a real, actual scene?
Have Star grant Magnifico's first, truest wish.
Not directly, click his fingers fix it. That's against the theme of working for your wish. But have Star pull out of the pile of wishes the one that Magnifico made twenty, thirty years ago when he first pulled up on this little island and put down the first bricks. The wish that no magician, no evil would ever harm this kingdom.
And then, while Magnifico is frozen, staring at his own wish for something more, he looks at the green flames around him and actually, honestly sees them.
They said that curse was unbreakable, but they also said that a wish is the most powerful magic that exists, and this is a star that came down solely to grant it. The wish glows brighter, the green stretches for them, but Star is there and the wish wins. Curse breaks. The world glows again, and there's just a king, collapsed and human again, and Asha is the only one willing to sit next to him as he stares at his kingdom.
And then, just to properly tie the movie back to the beginning, Asha gets the job as the apprentice that she'd been interviewing for. She can keep the wand, sure, fine, but what she needs is to actually study. Her new wish is to be able to help people make their wishes come true, and neither the stars nor the king are going to click their fingers and make that happen for her. Magic takes years to learn, but it turns out Magnifico is actually a pretty good teacher.
If you wanted to finish the movie on her 18th birthday that got mentioned several times as upcoming but never became relevant, that would be thematic. Maybe she makes the wish in private, glowing, pulls it out of her chest to see herself as a fairy godmother, before she puts the wish back into her chest to go back and work on making it real.
