BIOGRAPHY  /  STATS  /  NAVIGATION  /  CONNECTIONS
ABOUT.
Song: Motion Sickness by Phoebe Bridgers.
Full Name:  Maya Jean Hirsch.
Date of Birth:  December 20th, 1985.
Zodiac Sign: Sagittarius sun, Gemini moon, Pisces rising.
Gender / Pronouns:  Cis Woman / She/Her.
Place of Birth:  Long Island, New York.
Current Location: Parton, New York.
Sexual / Romantic Orientations:  Bisexual / Biromantic.
Religion:  Judaism.
Occupation:  Freelance Writer.
Secret: During her time in the city, Maya started an anonymous blog under the name “Mrs. Rot” where she publishes poetry and essays about herself, life, and the people she encounters. The blog grew popular quickly, much to Maya’s surprise.
QUICK OVERVIEW.
TRIGGER WARNINGS:  abuse, parental abuse, neglect, mental health, pregnancy, miscarriage.
Maya grew up in a very abusive household, both emotional and physical.
She’s the oldest out of four siblings, so she was always the protector, shielding her siblings from their parents.
Growing up, Maya was always quite lazy. She didn’t like change and had a hard time dealing with herself in social situations which stunted her personal growth, making her somewhat of a late bloomer compared to others her age.
She only ever left the nest when she was around 26 after saving up enough money at her retail job on Long Island to move to Brooklyn.
From there, Maya was a little helpless. She was often asking family members for money to make ends meet and worked a few more stagnant jobs here and there. Bartending, office work, etc.
Eventually, she got some freelance writing jobs at places like Buzzfeed and Teen Vogue. The work wasn’t entirely fulfilling but it paid the bills.
Over time, still doing various freelance work for different media outlets, she met a director over at CNN. She had shown him some pieces she wrote that weren’t published, one in particular about being a child of abuse, and he loved it. He sent it to a friend of his at The New York Times and it became an online published work for the publication 4 weeks later.
This resulted in many other more high profile pieces from Maya. she interviewed senators, victims of abuse, musicians, socialites, and everyone in between for various media outlets over the next few years.
But, of course, Maya being Maya, she started to get bored, and started to hit the dating scene again after years of mindless affairs and flings. She met a decent man, someone she could trust and talk to. Though, despite most of her progress in life, Maya remained a sheltered individual and never took it all the way with this man, which often got frustrating for him. The constant wobbly foundation of their barely-there relationship only became rockier when Maya found out she was pregnant and completely unaware of who the father was.
Maya had a miscarriage a month after finding out. She doesn’t tell anyone and
Because of this, New York started to feel tainted. So, Maya up and moved to Paris as a means for an escape and a fresh start. Maya was both saddened and relieved though told nobody about what happened aside from her best friend. It eventually became a small blip, something she wrapped up and buried, never to be seen or tampered with again.
Eventually, Maya grows overwhelmed by Brooklyn and city living and decides to move to the town of Parton, just forty-five minutes away from the city. This allows Maya to have a fresh start without having to give up career opportunities.

biography / wanted connections / musings / pinterest
content warning: mental illness (munchausen syndrome by proxy), child abuse/neglect, death.
the basics —
full name: Êlise aveline blanchet nicknames: lissy (only by her mother), aveline (to everyone else)  birthday & age: january 10th, 1993 (29)  pronouns: she/her/hers orientation: bisexual & biromantic occupation: housewife birthplace: greenwich, ct length of time in parton, ny: since 2018
quick stats —
zodiac: capricorn sun, scorpio moon, taurus rising mbti: istp (the virtuoso) enneagram: type 5 (the investigator) hogwarts house: true ravenclaw alignment: neutral evil positive traits: methodical, curious, rational, opportunistic, merciful  negative traits: morose, naive, cruel, selfish, strange
at a glance —
aveline is an exercise in imagining how cruel, neglected girls grow into heartless, cold women. by all accounts, she has taken her barren childhood and created something out of it, yet she has nothing to show for it. she denies what she passionately wants for what she thinks she should have — and what results is a young girl lost in a woman’s body. while she can be petulant and unforgiving in her words, at her core, she desperately craves to be loved and desired, and to love and desire back.
in short —
formerly from a wealthy family, her mother rewrote her late father’s will to ensure that she would not receive anything. too prideful to return back to the belly of the beast, she sold her apartment in nyc and married a man from parton whom loves her but she doesn’t love back to save herself from destitution. while her husband is well-aware of her nature, he hopes that she will come around to his affection.
her secret —
when she was thirteen, she pushed a girl that was bullying her down the two flights of stairs in a fit of rage. the girl broke two ribs and her right arm. aveline’s parents were able to cover it up with a sizable bribe to the boarding school and the girl’s family. the next year, she attended a different school, and the memory is mostly a part of her past that she suppressed.
headcanons —
i. aveline has never worked a day in her life. after graduating from columbia university with a degree in art history, she sold her apartment in nyc and rented a run-down place in deep brooklyn. she spent three years wandering around soho smoking cigarettes and eating croissants.
ii. she has a nasty habit of sticking her gum in places where she wants to be remembered, for better or for worse — underneath the shelves of her favorite bookstore, on the menus of her favorite restaurant, on the underside of her husband’s boots.
iii. for the first twelve years of her life, aveline was subjected to her mother’s munchausen syndrome by proxy. it was only after her father intervened that she was able to live a normal life.
iv. she was a vegetarian from birth, mostly because her mother forbade her from eating meat  because she claimed she had an allergy to it. though she still refrains from eating most meat, she has gained a taste for good steak and venison.
v. she frequently throws her wedding band away to test whether her husband will buy her another one. she’s done it about three times already, flushing her ring down the toilet twice and burying it parton park.
vi. a raging kleptomaniac. she doesn’t take anything of monetary value, just whatever she can get her hands on.

ABOUT
Song: “I Know It’s Over” by The Smiths (covered by Jeff Buckley)
Full Name: Alexander James Coleman
Date of Birth: August 2, 1989
Age: 32
Gender: Cismale
Pronouns: He/Him
Birthplace: Parton, New York
Religion: Secular Jewish
Occupation: Luthier at Coleman’s Guitars
How long has he been in Parton: His entire life
Secret: Alex slept with Sage Carson the night before her wedding, begging her to run away with him to start a new life. And though he thinks he almost got through to her, she marries Brad Donoghue anyway.
HEADCANONS
**Alex is the oldest child of Alona and Herschel Coleman, making him the third generation to be born and bred in Parton. He has one younger sister named Bea, who he is two years older than. They are an incredibly loving, tight knit family. It wasn’t uncommon for his friends to flock to his house growing up, Alona and Herschel treating their children’s friends as if they were their own kids.
**Alex and Bea are incredibly close. While they did fight like typical siblings, it is something they mostly grew out of by the time they reached high school. So close, that he was the first person she came out to as a lesbian. He considers her his best friend, though he’d rather get punched in the face than openly admit that to her.
**During his high school years, Alex remained a relatively good kid with the tendencies of a troublemaker - having been suspended twice for fighting. He was smart, capable, funny, charismatic, and generally well liked. He was close to his friends, and he liked partying and going to skateparks and playing guitar in the band he started with his childhood best friends. The issue was, Alex wasn’t exactly the type to apply himself. He simply coasted by, did what was asked of him but nothing more.
**The love for music is deeply rooted in Coleman blood. Alex’s mother, Alona, is a retired choral teacher - having served the local high school for over thirty years. And his father, Herschel, is an immaculately trained luthier, just as his father was before him and his father before him. Coleman’s Guitars is a well established, world renowned shop where guitars of all kinds are carefully and beautifully crafted by hand and repaired - making its name known during the rise of American folk music and the expansion of guitar rock during the 1950s and well into the 1970s. Still iconic today, owning a Coleman guitar is something special.
**Even though he had been trained by his father and had a knack for music, Alex wasn’t immediately drawn to carrying on the legacy of Coleman’s Guitars. With no intention to go to college, he strayed from the family business by taking on two jobs - one in the city as a waiter at a restaurant fancier than any of the ones back home, and the other working odd construction jobs around town. After a few years of this, Alex started saving up to get an associate’s degree in business from Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn.
**Alex has been and always will be in love with Sage Carson. They’ve been in each other’s lives for nearly two decades now, but the transition from annoying best friend of his little sister to love of his life didn’t happen until he was 22 years old. The history these two share is long and complex, and frankly still heartbreaking if he puts too much thought into it. After crossing the line of being mutually untouchable for Bea’s sake, they lived out their romance in secret for nearly a year in between highly anticipated breaks from school and long distance phone calls, hoping it would last forever until a fight and a classic case of miscommunication brought their relationship to an end - all without anyone else ever knowing. They grew up and moved on, but not really - trying to figure out how to be friends again. Sage got married and lived a life in California that didn’t include Alex anymore. He eventually entered into a serious relationship with a woman he thought he might marry one day. But now Sage is back in Parton, divorced, and he’s left trying to figure out how to coexist with her back in his life again. The issue is, he’s realizing even at almost 33, he still loves Sage as much as he did when he was 22.
**Alex has been in his relationship with his current girlfriend for almost five years now. The two started dating some months after Sage’s wedding. He loves her, genuinely loves her, and once upon a time, he could really envision a life with her. They’re good together. Mostly happy. The thorn in their side, however, has always been Sage. And while it was easy to ignore at first, it seems all of their fights circle back to her. It has since gotten worse with Sage returning to Parton for good.
**Noticing his father starting to slow down, Alex went from helping out around Coleman’s on occasion to preparing to take over the business as the head luthier for the last seven years. And while it took him a while to come around, he absolutely loves what he does. He loves working with his hands, making something beautiful he can be proud of. Honored to carry on the family tradition, he hopes it’s something he can pass along to his kids one day - whenever the time comes.

SUDDENLY I FELT FINE INSIDE A MIND FULL OF GHOSTS...  the darkest nights mean you see the stars the most
--- ABOUT SAGE | TIMELINE OF LIFE EVENTS (tba) | NAVIGATION | WANTED CONNECTIONS
SONG CHARACTER IS BASED ON: dreamers by k.flay  FULL NAME: sage robin carson DOB & AGE: december 15, 1991 / 30 years old GENDER & PRONOUNS: cisfemale, she/her
OCCUPATION:
waitress at groove diner ( currently working to get a job teaching again )
member of the breakneck broads roller derby team
HOW LONG THEY’VE BEEN IN PARTON: sage grew up in parton and left for college in 2009 ( university of california santa barbara, but came back every summer ) and lived in los angeles until october of 2021 when she moved back to parton A SECRET OF THEIRS: sage is still in love with her ex, alex coleman. it was a realization she came to over the holidays, and it’s only made things worse for her – considering the fact that he’s in a relationship with someone else, and she is trying desperately trying to figure out how to be just his friend. knowing what it’s like to have someone pull apart your relationship, she’s keeping her distance and respecting that he’s moved on… even if the sight of him and his long time girlfriend is nothing short of painful. QUICK NEED TO KNOWS:  trigger warning: mentions of death and miscarriage.
sage is from parton, born and raised!
she spent the entirety of her childhood there, and only left when she got into college. despite that, she came back each summer and break to visit home. once she got married to brad (her now ex husband) after college, the visits became less frequent and closer to once a year, or just for the holidays.
her divorce was finalized in october 2021, and sage moved back to parton by the of october from los angeles, california.
sage has always been very much the classic “good girl”. she was a girl scout, cheerleader, and babysitter as a kid, raised by strict parents and hardly ever got into trouble. she has a heart too large to fit on her sleeve, and is deeply empathetic and emotional -- especially when it comes to the people she holds close. she has a warmth and innocence about her, even now, and is an absolute social butterfly -- if she’s met your character, she definitely remembers their name and probably considers them at the very least, an acquaintance.
*she was married for 6 years to a man named brad donoghue (npc, zac efron fc LOL), and divorced him after her admitted to cheating on her for years. the two were once happy but quickly fell in love as time went on. she feels like she lost herself in her marriage, caught up in what brad had wanted her to be, and tried to mold her into. now that she’s fully divorced and completely cut ties with him (all the way down to getting her named changed back to carson), sage is trying to start over and ‘find herself’, for lack of a better term.
*in an attempt to save her marriage, she thought having a kid would bring them back together -- that a child would bring a newer deeper connection between them. unfortunately, it didn’t, and sage miscarried due to ‘cervical inefficiency’. she’s not sure if she’ll ever be able to have kids given how high risk she would be if she got pregnant -- but it’s a hope she still holds on to. there are few people who know about the miscarriage, and sage plans to keep it that way.
sage’s mother still lives in parton and is an er nurse. she and her mother’s relationship is complicated, and the two don’t speak much right now. her mother doesn’t understand why sage would “throw away her marriage without trying to fight for it”.
her secret is that she’s still in love with her ex, alex coleman. there’s more about that connection below -- but they had a secret relationship the summer after her first year in college, keeping things between them as to not upset bea (his sister, and sage’s best friend), or her parents. they broke up almost a year later thanks to an insane case of miscommunication, but sage has always held unresolved feelings for him. the night before her wedding to brad, sage slept with alex and nearly ran away with him. she was left with the horrible decision between two men she loved -- choosing the route that felt like what she was ‘’supposed’’ to do and married brad the next afternoon, rather than meet up with alex and skip town. it’s something she still feels regret for, especially now. at one point in her marriage (in 2017) she showed up at alex’s door, ready to leave her husband, with a speech about how sorry she was and how much she loves him -- only to have alex’s girlfriend answer the door. instead of professing her love, sage took it as fate: they aren’t meant to be together, clearly, so she returned home and tried to repair her marriage. when sage moved back to parton, the two had an Adult Conversation about everything -- laying everything out on the table, so that they can try to start over and be friends. that worked for roughly a month, before sage realized the terrible truth: she’s still in love with alex.
sage is currently living with her childhood best friend, bea coleman. (there will be a wanted connection for bea asap :) ) the two have been best friends since they were eleven -- think a combination between illana and abby from broadcity, and meredith and cristina from grey’s anatomy LOL
right out of college, sage worked as an art teacher at an elementary school in los angeles. brad convinced her to quit her job after they got married, so that he could ‘take care of her’ and she could focus on making art of her own. after she quit, sage spent years (and still does, though she hasn’t really done much now that she’s in parton) doing commission work based on word of mouth -- anything from canvases, murals, sketches, etc. that being said, she always held a love for teaching, as well as art/art history. her ultimate goal is to get a job at parton elementary school as an art teacher, but right now she’s working at groove diner to get herself back on her feet.
after the loss of her daughter, sage adopted a fat orange tabby named pepper. pepper is incredibly rude and will scratch or bite anyone who comes near her, though she tolerates sage after she spent months getting the cat to warm up to her. for some reason, the only one pepper is openly affectionate with is alex coleman.
there’s more about it below, but sage is part of parton’s roller derby team, the breakneck broads!! i’ve got more info about them on my connections page, and i’ll be sending in a formal wanted connection form about them to the main soon -- so if you’d like for your character to be part of that, please let me know!!!!!!
*there’s more about these headcanons below !!
HEADCANONS FROM THE APP:
i. bill carson and candace thompson hadn’t expected to end up being parents at 17, but managed to make it work. they married at the local courthouse, moved into bill’s mother’s basement and worked day and night to stay afloat. they manage as best they can, even years later they remain together for their daughters sake rather than out of genuine love for one another. bill goes on to become a teacher, having spent the last 15 years as the principal of parton high school until his death in 2019, and candace works as an ER nurse at the local hospital. despite managing to land themselves what is supposed to feel like “the american dream” (the home, the family, etc), both still harbor visions of the life they could have had — in candace’s case, she lives vicariously through her daughter, sage. it’s a fact sage hadn’t caught onto until she was much older, but her mother tries to live the life she felt she was “denied” by being a teen mom through sage — which ultimately lead to their falling out after sage’s divorce, further complicating an already immensely complicated relationship. her father, on the other hand, takes a fearful approach, hoping strict rules and intolerance will keep her out of trouble. sage knows her parents always meant well — she’d like to think they had a decent relationship, but it was never a question that their love felt conditional, and would only be received if she was able to keep to the ideal standard they held her to.
ii. sage is six years old when her mother signs her up for the local competition cheer team, something her mother had loved as a kid but had to five up when she became pregnant – so it only seemed fitting for her daughter to carry the mantle. thankfully, sage takes to cheerleading like a fish to water, enjoying every single minute of it. she lives for the adrenaline rush, her competitive nature the perfect outlet. it surprises no one that she sticks with it, joining her middle school’s cheer team before making it on the high school squad – eventually landing the spot of captain. through her years of hard work, sage makes it onto the cheer team for the university of california santa barbara, with a full ride thanks to an athletic scholarship.
iii. bea coleman comes into sage’s life at the age of eleven, when the two arrive at cheer camp. they were an unlikely duo — but by the end of the week sage was happy to call bea her best friend. the two are pure opposites, yet somehow bea is one of the few people who knows sage in and out. bea brings a certain sponenaity to sage, constantly pulling her out of her comfort zone. it’s something sage has always been grateful for, something she’s always admired about bea – her excitement for the world around her, regardless of what will happen next. they’ve maintained a sisterly bond for nearly twenty years now, remaining just as close at thirty years old as they were at eleven, despite the fact that sage has spent the last decade across the country from one another. bea is one of the few people sage trusts completely, often the one talking her into things she never would have done on her own – mostly, because she trusts bea to never lead her astray, just into something that’s entirely out of sage’s comfort zone. bea is the reason sage moved back to parton, reminding her that their small town in new york has always felt more like home than los angeles. getting back on her feet after the loss of her daughter and in the wake of a messy divorce is all thanks to bea coleman – someone who’s never failed to save sage from herself.
iv. at the age of eleven, sage didn’t like bea’s older brother. he’d been someone in the background everywhere she went, becoming an actual friend of hers once the two hit high school and landed in the same art class. friendship follows quickly — with common ground found between her and alex (outside of just their mutual connection to bea), he becomes someone she calls a close friend with far more similarities to one another than she anticipated. something shifts after her freshman year of college, though – sage can’t quite pinpoint just what it was, but what it led to ended up meaning more to her than she could have anticipated. she falls hard, not expecting to find herself in deep with someone who was technically considered off limits. between her parents and bea – she and alex spent the summer sneaking around, keeping their relationship exclusively to him coming through her window in the middle of the night, and the two parking somewhere secluded so they won’t get caught. it only takes a few short months before the realization hits her like a freight train – she is in love, the kind that inspires poets and songwriters. it feels natural, words in the back of her mind telling her just how easy everything would be with him. they never define their relationship formally, but there’s no question that she falls in love with him – sage never tells him that, though, and an argument about going public with their relationship inspires a string of miscommunication that ultimately leads to their demise. heartbroken, sage manages to move on, finding love with someone new – even if alex remains at the back of her mind, unable to shake thought of what could have been.
time passes and she feels like she’s moved on, embracing the new life she’s about to embark upon when brad pops the question – only to find herself in bed with alex the night before her wedding, fully planning to run away with him the next morning. only instead of the grand second chance she’s always dreamed about, she walks down the aisle and marries the man she loves – the man she’s supposed to love. sage tells herself it’s the right choice, though even at her happiest with brad, her mind still wanders to her best friend’s brother. three years into her marriage, when her fairytale begins to fall apart and reality sets in – she finds herself at alex’s door with an apology and a declaration of love prepared, though it falls flat when someone else answers the door. it takes years before she finally makes peace with it all, determined to move on and start over – they’ve both moved on, and her divorce has been finalized, leaving her with the chance for a true new beginning. a new beginning that ends abruptly, with the complicated realization that she still loves alex – and that she never really stopped.
v. brad donoghue comes into sage’s life in the wake of mourning her ended relationship with alex coleman. he’s everything she /should/ want out of a man – he’s a gentleman, studying finance, and comes from a well off family. they meet on a blind date and hit it off immediately, and true sage fashion – she falls fast, and hard. (the heartache she’s still drowning in pushes her to move on and forget how much she misses alex, too) though sage does fall in love with brad, there’s something about their relationship that doesn’t sync up. they’re good together, she decides – and once they’ve finished school and gotten married, he insists on her quitting her teaching job so that she can focus on her own art. he makes enough money to cover both of them and then some, pushing sage into the role of housewife. it isn’t until she’s filing for divorce that sage sees just how much she let herself be chipped away – brad kept control of their relationship, their finances, their home; he made her small as the years went on, through backhanded compliments and manipulative actions; he molded her into what he wanted her to be, but sage never quite filled the role in the way he hoped. They grow distant, near strangers in the same bed – only made worse by the death of their unborn daughter. it’s not until he comes home hammered and looking for a fight that brad admits that he can’t stand sage anymore; that she bores him, that she isn’t the person he married – that he’s found someone new, someone younger, someone he truly /loves./ someone he’s been cheating on her with for the last two years. she files for divorce three days later. after ten long months, it’s finalized – though, everything had been in brad’s name, and thanks to the prenup she signed before their wedding, sage is left with nothing. the day after the divorce is finalized, brad announces his engagement to his mistress, who is 19. sage moves to parton three weeks after.
TRIGGER WARNING this next headcanon includes miscarriage!
vi. sage had always saw herself becoming a mother some day. while her marriage with brad was rocky at best, it made sense to her that a child would bring them back together in the way that they needed – she loved her husband, even if she didn’t like him very much. starting a family seemed like a good way to remind them why they got married in the first place. after a year of trying, they finally get a positive pregnancy test, setting things into motion. only as the months go on, brad remains just as distant, bordering on uninterested. roughly five months into her pregnancy – sage miscarries, left alone in the hospital while her husband is away on a business trip and isn’t answering the phone. left alone to deal with an unforseen trauma, she ends up on the phone with alex coleman, speaking to him longer that night than she has in the last eight years. sage knows she has no right to ask him for any sort of comfort, but he provides it regardless – helping her slow down her breathing and try to remain calm despite the sobs that keep ripping through her. he promises to tell bea for her, the latter getting on a plane within hours of hearing the news. brad calls her in the morning, home by that night. sage never tells him about her conversation with alex – given that the man is a point of contention between the two since brad found out about her past relationship with him – instead choosing to focus on anything that doesn’t include the tiny coffin they’re burying on a hillside one week later. her name is leona, and they bury her in a beautiful cemetery that overlooks the water. sage doesn’t talk about the miscarriage – she’s more than happy to keep leona and her memory between her, her former therapist, and the small handful of people who know just how deeply her grief runs. she hopes to eventually have children one day -- but she isn’t sure how realistic that dream is anymore.
vii. once her divorce was finalized, sage ended up moving back to parton in october thanks to the encouragement of her best friend. it’s strange to be back in the town she grew up in, fully starting over and left feeling like she hit the reset button on her life – no money, back to the same old job she had in college, fully on her on for the first time in decades. it’s hard to not feel like she’s admitting some sort of defeat, landing on her ass despite the fact that she was living the life she was “supposed” to have. at square one once again, she’s working to figure out what she wants to come next – and with the help of bea, she’s found herself in a pair of roller skates, calling a rowdy group of women her roller derby teammates. joining a team called /the breakneck broads/ was something that sage never saw coming,  but has helped her regain something she lost over the last few years – herself.

SONG CHARACTER IS BASED ON: Put Your Records On by Corinne Rae Bailey
FULL NAME: Leilani Morton
NICKNAMES: Lani, Lei
DATE OF BIRTH: September 3, 1986
AGE: 35
GENDER: Ciswoman
PRONOUNS: she/her
OCCUPATION: Owner of Red Flush Salon
FACECLAIM: Amber Riley
HOW LONG THEY’VE BEEN IN PARTON: All her life
A SECRET OF THEIRS: She was offered a record deal in her 20s but turned it down out of fear of failure.
HEADCANONS
Small town girl with a big heart. Often seen as being naive at her big age and too happy. She was an absolute darling to most, but some saw her as an annoyance. She took it all with a grain of salt, never letting the smile fall from her face. She wont let anybody else dictate her emotions. She lives her life carefree and open.
She was gifted with a very beautiful singing voice. She enjoyed music and any excuse to perform. Everyone expected her to be this big famous singer but she took her life in a different direction. Secretly, she did have the opportunity to pursue a career but the fear of failing after all the years of people expecting it from her scared her. It was better to never try than to try and fail, at least that’s how she felt at the time. She let her fear stop her from pursuing her dreams and as she grows older she has to come to grips with it.
She has been doing hair from a young age. The amount of Barbies her parents had to buy her as she cut, dyed, and fried their hair was ridiculous. It was all for a reason though because she truly enjoyed doing hair. It was a second dream of hers and after going through the proper education and getting her licenses, it led her to opening up Red Flush Salon.
She often goes into NYC to sing at open mics and enjoy the nightlife. She also has a group of friends in town she jams with and they have their own open nights that she likes to host at her place in her massive living room.
She’s pretty open with her emotions and she’s a people pleaser. Falls a little bit in love with everyone who shares a piece of themselves with her. She could be a big kid at times but often played the mom friend always worried about the ones she loved. She will bend over backwards to make sure they’re okay.
Has a soft spot for lost souls. Will extend her hand to help anyone and offer them encouragement. She tries to see the good in everyone.

Victor Hernandez • Thirty Years Old • Parton Native • Bassist
tw addiction
Victor was the only child born to his parents, who divorced shortly after he was born due to his father's infidelity. His dad played little role in his life, despite initial promises to do so, and was more focused on the new family he'd (accidentally) started to pay much mind to the one he left behind.
He was three when his mom remarried to his stepmother, who had a daughter from her own previous marriage, just a few months older then Victor himself.
Though Victor had technically been made a brother years prior, it was the first time he ever really began to feel like one, him and his sister thick as thieves growing up, and their family expanding to include the foster siblings their parents would go on to house.
It was actually his sister who'd encouraged him to pick up the guitar for the first time, to accompany her singing and songwriting, and together, the two formed a little duo that lasted throughout middle school.
High school, unfortunately, saw the two drifting, his sister leaning more towards the academic side of things, and Victor more towards pursuing music.
His sister would eventually go on to get accepted to her dream school, whereas Victor was rejected from both of his top choice music schools--something he has never admitted to even applying for, still to this day.
With no real backup plan, he enrolled in some classes at the local community college, and it was in MUS 100 that he met the three people that would change his life. Together, they formed The Bright Ones--Victor even switching from guitar to bass, after a bad coin toss on which one of the guitarists was going to make the switch.
It was mostly local gigs for the first couple years, but almost out of nowhere, a song of theirs went viral on YouTube, and the band simply took off. When a record label in LA reached out about potentially cutting a deal, the group jumped at the chance, and in what felt like a blink of an eye, they were off, leaving behind Parton for a chance at the big time.
And a chance they got. The group thrived in LA, putting out a first album, and then a tour, and then another album, another tour...it was literally what dreams were made out of. And if he called his family a little less, or missed a holiday, or turned a blind eye towards their lead singers growing addiction problem...that was fine, right?
It was their lead singer and that addiction that ultimately brought the demise of The Bright Ones. A bad business deal made behind their backs around Thanksgiving of last year not only pissed off their record label, but basically left them blacklisted from the industry...well, there was no real coming back from that.
That was about three months ago, with Victor having returned to Patron full time, tail tucked between his legs. He's currently grappling with being back home, repairing the relationship between him and his moms, and working part time as a guitar teacher, and also a barback at The Sagitarius, trying to figure out where he's going from here.

GENERAL.
SONG CHARACTER IS BASED ON:  fast as you can by fiona apple. FULL NAME:  noellene "noa" kahn. DATE OF BIRTH:  august 16th. AGE:  thirty. GENDER:  cis woman PRONOUNS:  she/her/hers OCCUPATION:  multi-media artist & weed dealer by day, bartender at keep it movin' by night. FACECLAIM:  zoe kravitz HOW LONG THEY’VE BEEN IN PARTON:  almost five months. A SECRET OF THEIRS:  noellene has been on the run from her biological family since she was seventeen.
HEADCANONS.
noelle grew up as your typical trailer park kid, and knows how to make do with very little as needed.
she hardly stays in one place for longer than about 6 months, but she's been considering making parton her long-term home.
she's currently trying to scrape up enough cash to dump into a business venture--a record store that she promised to one day start with a childhood friend.
she may or may not know how to hotwire old cars and may or may not have done so several times.
set her father's most prized possession, a 1960s pink cadillac, ablaze before going on the run.
considering she can't cook for shit, noellene is currently surviving off a diet of cheap coffee and pho--someone pls cook for her i beg!!!
suffers from night terrors & fears mirrors--she covers them at night and hardly stares into them for too long. maybe it's just paranoia from the weed? maybe not.
BIOGRAPHY.
noa was born with her elbows already flying, mouth primed between a spit and a hiss, never quite blinking enough. never quite loved enough. her parents were never together, but by the time she was a toddler, they're really not together, her mother disappearing one night after a fight that left the cops at her motel door, neighbors peeking through the blinds to spectate the aftermath of the yelling match from the comfort of their rooms. and for the rest of her life, the sound of cats howling will bring noa back to those days, gritted teeth and squeezed-tight eyes, the ground gone to shaking underfoot as angry feet pass in the hall, doors quaking like animals in fear.
a sewn-together patchwork ghost of nostalgia & forgotten memories, noa knows nothing more than an aching frame & how to reload a gun from muscle memory. her mom finally leaves and it's her and him for years. no offers to console her when father returned home after week long benders. no one to wipe her tears when her mother's voice beckons her in her sleep. just the promise of the clothes on her back and what little she can cram into her bag. but she'd learn to make do. noa is 17 when he stops coming home, and days—perhaps weeks pass her by before an unknown face darkens her doorstep—child services. rather than falling into the unknown embrace of the social worker, she runs. and that thing with feathers inside of her chest that she calls hope carries her for a many handful of years, all until noa landed herself here in parton.
