CDs i got for valentine's day from my lover ^_^ and my thoughts on each CD/albums

the CD list in question:

so anyways, A Love Trilogy is one of my favorite Donna Summer albums and I'd say this would be the start of a perfect run for me because after that album is Four Seasons of Love which is immaculate and perfect in like every way and then we get into I Remember Yesterday... and I listened to that album and Once Upon A Time back to back and it was over for me LOL like I really think these two albums are really good examples of what music should be... and when I finished these albums I was like.... I need the physical versions of these NOW!!!

I Remember Yesterday's concept is consistent throughout and it reminds me of how people will reference time periods and especially 90's and in recent times the 2000's but none of the things that people do today will ever compare to this album. Like going from the 1940's to the 1970's (modern) and eventually the Future is like... so crazy to me it's so excellent. Once Upon A Time is another excellent album to me like just the concept of taking a Cinderella story and making it disco was a pleasant experience, and I just love how it felt, it also kinda felt like I got done watching a movie or some TV special especially with the end there which was spoken and how it essentially recapped all that you listened to.

I also watched an interview with Donna Summer from 1976 and the conversation kinda blew my mind because Dick Clark asked her how long "Love to Love You Baby" was and it's like a 17 minute song and what stuck out to me is how he commented on how really long that is and how labels only wanted artists to do like 2 minute songs and looking at the conversations we're having in regards to 2 minute songs today is truly another time is a circle moment because what the HELL!!! I only bring this up because I think about the theme of I Remember Yesterday and how it takes you through the past and makes you look to the Future. And I can only be hopeful for the future and take action and make sure it's a good future for myself and my loved ones

anyways i'll be more brief now for the rest of this post

won't really discuss too much about those brilliant green single CDs, they're pretty neat but I thought they'd be bigger LOL... as a result those CDs are also small they remind me of the size of GameCube disks. also listen to all those songs from the brilliant green. I probably shouldn't have put tape on the tsumetai hana cover especially since I plan on scanning all of these some day but oh well. speaking of which... small chance that any buriguri fan reads this but did the single CD of tsumetai hana come like that??? i can't imagine them selling it with the cover being like that but it's whatever

Take Me Apart is literally a perfect album like wow... it's the japanese version by the way and it came with two tracks that Kelela already released lol. Anyways just glad to have a physical version of it like yayyy we love you Kelela. Hopefully one day I can get a physical version of Raven

GENIUS 2000 very excellent album I was gifted this because I always wanted it with the slip case and I got a large Namie Amuro album collection off of Ebay for Christmas last year and it didn't come with a slip case unfortunately but I'm glad I have this now. But also now I have two GENIUS 2000 CDs LOL

Vocalofuture is a compilation album, and some of the songs I remember and some will be completely new to me! I also know that for this album, the producers gave new rearrangements to the songs like Lost One's Weeping to match the "future" theme of this album so that's cool.

One of my favorite Neru songs, not much else to say there.

2. Phantom Thief F ~ Riddle of the Missing Diamond~ (怪盗Ｆの台本～消えたダイヤの謎～) - Hitoshizuku-P × Yama△ ft. Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin \ Len, KAITO, MEIKO, GUMI, Kamui Gakupo, IA, MAYU

It's kinda catchy but I prefer the Bad Night End series. 

3. Distant Fields (サリシノハラ) - Mikito-P ft. Hatsune Miku

Not really that fond of Mikito-P after how he screwed over Len, so.

4. Trash Innocence (我楽多イノセンス ) -  Last Note. ft. GUMI

I care nothing for this Houkago Stride series.

5. Justitia of Life (命のユースティティア) - Neru ft. Kagamine Len

Another favorite song of mine by Neru. It's a real change of pace from all the other songs. 

6. Pomp and Circumstance (威風堂々) - Umetora ft. Megurine Luka, Hatsune Miku, GUMI, IA, Kagamine Rin, MAYU

I didn't particularly like this song. The chorus was super uncatchy.

7. Tokyo Retro (東京レトロ) - Scop ft. Hatsune Miku

Cute PV but boring song.

8. Are you Really Mad? I'm not Mistaken (マジでぉこだょ？ァたし間違ってなぃ) - Utata-P feat. MAYU

Utata-P's songs always make me laugh but I would never really listen to them on my iPod.

9. Rewind - 40mP feat. GUMI

Not particularly interested in 40mP but he makes nice songs.

10. Ashes to Ashes (ハイハハイニ) - Tennen (Oppiroge-P) ft. KAITO V3

Mmm listen to the V3 KAITO.

11. Change me (refine) - shu-tP ft. MEIKO

The song hasn't changed that much but still, a remix is nice.

12. The Transient Apple Salesgirl (林檎売りの泡沫少女) - Yukkedoluce ft. GUMI

Very cute and sweet song. 

13. Revolution of Liz's Innermost Heart (リズの内心革命) - Zips ft. IA

God I hate Zips so much for this song.

14. Fake Fake Psychotropic (マネマネサイコトロピック) - Kairiki Bear ft. GUMI

Generic Vocarock, not much else to say.

15. Answer (アンサー) - Dixie Flatline ft. Megurine Luka

Such a mellow song.

16. Last Stop (終点) - cosMo ft. Hatsune Miku

Mmm not much stands out there.

17. Connect to the Future (みらいをつなぐ) ft. Kamui Gakupo, Kagamine Len, KAITO
