Yandere LL x Earth Liaison Reader
No beta read we die like fucking men and I swear I'm a dummy in English (not a first language) OH YEAH the characters might be a bit ooc since I haven't finished mtmte
Edit: um chat... this shit was not supposed to be posted um- whoops I guess??? I can't take this shit out um, I thought Tumblr ate this drabble, turns out I accidentaly posted it???
'FUCK FUCK FUCK!' a lone human curse in their head as they crouch walk inside the vents, navigating the never ending maze, watching your steps and sound. You knew those bots have good hearing, but they're not your priority to be worrying. It was Skids and those with him inside the vents, you can hear the heavy bodies thuding and thumping. He knew the ship like the back of his hand, you would say. You could have used your inbuilt digital map over the paper map you crudly and hastily drew, but you knew it would be a matter of time before Perceptor or who over is smart enough hacks into your watch and pings your location.
You wished you would've seen the signs, no...
You wished you had never dreamed of meeting aliens as a child, riding a rocket ship, and fly through space. You wished you never pushed so hard for that silly dream that soon became a nightmare.
Yet, you were blind to it. Ignoring the signs, thinking, 'Oh, it must be a cultural thing' or 'They probably are curious about humans and our culture, most of them haven't met one.' The ones who didn't liked organics in general became more softer, yet possessive as the rest of others. The prisoners coaxed you to free them from their cells, just so they'd 'express' their love. The enemies bribing you to join them, promising you unbroken loyalty and adoration.
Those innocent questions became... intimate and invasive.
Megatron, he didn't want to be near you. You didn't know if it's out of guilt or a still prejudice against the organics. You knew his history, the war, and the devastating impacts he caused. You were willing to give him a chance. You talked to him. At first, it was one-sided, and then he replied back, with small answers, acknowledgments, and comebacks. You'd tease him when you saw a small smirk. He'd deny. You joined his poetry sessions, exchanging poetry to one another, critiquing and praising each other. You'd read him classic human literature, and he'd read you cybertronian literature in those moments it was just you and him. When did it all go wrong...
Ultra Magnus he intimidated you, a big guy with those stern eyes and broad shoulders. Of course, a big man like him would be the goody to shoes, abid to the law like its his only identity. You thought you could never relate to him outside of work, that he and you will never understand one another. You'd talk when the air was empty. You'd tell him about the dumb decisions you've made when you were a kid, stealing gums and candies, sneaking in an abandoned building with friends, attending street racing, laughing at your own idiocy and stupid antics, but you reminisce the bond you had with your friends. Ultra Magnus would criticize your actions, listing all of the laws and rules you've broken. But this time, he just listened, didn't list down your crimes, keeping quiet. You don't know what he was thinking other than the possible charges you'd have if you'd have gotten caught. When did it go wrong...
When you first met Rodimus, he reminded you of a frat boy who was given leadership in a silver plate. Not taking anything seriously, meteor surfing, delaying his reports, not even paying attention half of the time on the meetings. You'd chase him down, trying to get his attention. You've felt like a mother trying to discipline an unruly child, but this child is giant fucking robot leading an expedition in outerspace. That what you'd have thought of him, till you saw his struggles. The guilt of the deaths of crewmates, what he could have done if he did things differently. You'd shoulder his burdens, cradling his helm. You'd look at him eye to eye, telling him not to blame himself that he did what he could. You'd help him out with reports. You'd hold his giant servos that it helped him be grounded on the meetings. You'd laugh at his jokes, bite back with scarastic comebacks. You final smiled at him, when those days where he feels down, you'd let him in your lap again. When did it go wrong...
You've been invited to the movie sessions with the Minicons, sharing your favorite movies and series with them. You'd hang out with Rung, help him build his miniature spacescrafts, sitting quietly with him during the sessions of his patients and letting them hold you. It felt therapeutic for them. You'd help out on medbay reaching through the cracks of patients to close the delicate wires, medics freeting over you after a successful operation. You'd gossip with them and talk about the stupid antics those bots done to be sent to medbay, trying to knock sense on those daredevils.
Your time at Lost Light was up. You wished you've stayed longer, but you definitely missed home. Your family and friends are waiting for your return. You were walking through the corridors to the meeting room to talk about your retirement when you heard yelling from the cracks of the doors.
"Can't we destroy their space bridge? Brainstorm and Perceptor can make it seem it malfunctioned. Even blow it up completely for safe measures. Besides, it's the only space bridge that connects to Earth directly."
"Rodimus please, we can't do this to them."
"Please, Mags, I know you'd don't want them gone too! I can see the way you looked at them Mags, you love them too like I do. We all do here. The crew would help out Mags, I talked to everybody on the comms, so please do it for us."
You can't believe what you're hearing, why won't they let you go home. You turn around to see three mechs, your eyes water over the betrayal. You ran before they can catch you, diving into the vents for refuge. You can hear them telling everybody you ran away, you're scared. You didn't ask for this. You're regretting everything. Maybe you should have stayed at home, be a boring office worker over being chased by crazy giant bots who refuse to let you go home.
You wonder... When Did It Go Wrong.

how would ruby successfully pull an 'i can fix him' with an evil jaune?
TTSL
Jaune: AH-HAHAHAHAHA?!! Burn in hell you bastards!
Yang: Well... Jaune's lost it...
Blake: He's practically destroying the place?!
Weiss: He hacked all of the, Atlasian robots from his scroll! His fucking scroll?!
Ruby: Ren can you use your semblance to calm him down?
Ren: I tried, but it didn't have any effect! He just turned to laugh at me, and said, 'The eye of the storm does not need to be calmed my friend~!"
Nora: Whoa... that's deep...
Ren: The toothy smile he gave me... I thought he was going to tear out my throat...?!
Blake: So what are we going to do?! This was a training simulation that was supposed to help us deal with, Cinder, and her evil plans! But, he's at least ten times scarier than her!
Nora: His evilness is off the charts?!
Weiss: You have an evil chart?!
Yang: How are we supposed to stop him! He is pure evil!
Ruby: Don't worry guys... I have a plan! I can fix him!
Nora: Let me guess... Through the power of friendship?
Ruby: ...
Ruby: Well, I wasn't going to say that...
Nora: Ruby! You can't, Steven Universe your way out of this shit!
Ruby: But, it worked for him! I can fix, Jaune through the power of friendship, and song~!
Yang: This isn't going to end well...
Blake: I'll get the medkit.
Ruby: Jaune!
Jaune: Ah-hahaha! Look everyone! It's the little rose~! Are you thorns sharpened for war my dear?
Ruby: ...
Ruby: Through the power of love, and our friendship~! We will...!?
~~~
Ruby: (Cough! Cough!)
Ruby: I thought that would work...
Yang: I can't believe he ordered an artillery strike on you for singing...
Ruby: I thought that would work...
Ren: Jaune, doesn't like musicals, and stories where everything is solved through the power of love, and music. He finds them annoying, and stupid.
Nora: I told you it was worthless.
Ruby: He doesn't like musicals talking about love, and the power of friendship...? He truly is a monster...
Weiss: Oh gods... Then how are we going to stop him?
: Haa... You children... You know nothing of love...
Yang: Wait, what?!
Weiss: When did you get here?!
: A while ago, now let me deal with, Mr. Arc. Unlike you, Ms. Rose, I can fix him, and I will have this done swiftly.
Nora: Good luck!
Jaune: Hahahaha! I have done it! The SDC has fallen! Now, Atlas will fall as well!
: Mr. Arc, a word?
Jaune: Huw? Ms. Goodwitch?!
~~~
Glynda: There, there... It's going to be alright...
Jaune: It's just... It's just been so hard... I have to keep it all together... A-And, no one seems to care about my problems, or even notice...
Glynda: Tell me about them, Jaune. Tell me all about your worries...
Jaune: It's just that... no one cares about me! It's always about, Ruby's problems... Oh, Ruby's sad because she saw, Pyrrha die... She was my partner, she was my friend... I loved her, but... all I got was a kiss goodbye... and, everyone cares about, Ruby, and what she's dealing with...
Glynda: Don't worry, Jaune. I'm here for you... tell me everything that's wrong, and we can deal with it together.
RWBYNR: ...
Weiss: What the fuck?!
Yang: I'm so confused... what's going on?
Ruby: The hell? I was going to sing about the power of love, and friendship, and he throws an artillery shell at my face?! She, just walks up to him, and tells him everything is going to be okay, and he just stops.
Ren: Woman think the male fantasy is something sexual. But, for most men, the male fantasy is to be held in a loving embrace, and to be told that everything was going to be okay. Considering everything, Jaune has been holding back, he needs this... He really needs this...
Nora: That, and Ruby's singing is atrocious.
Ruby: Excuse me?!
Weiss: I tried giving her lessons, but nothing stuck.
Ruby: HEY?!

Book recs: aro and ace sff, vibes edition
While I'm working on my canonical in-text-only aroace rec list, have this more vibes based edition! These are books which center platonic and/or hard to define relationships over romantic and/or sexual ones. Basically they are books that made me, a certified romance disliker, especially connect with the way they portrayed and prioritized non-romantic relationships, whether they're canonically aro/ace or not.

For more details on the books, check under the readmore! My personal favorites are marked with an *. For more rec lists, take a look at my masterpost!
Canonical aro and/or ace

Elatsoe by Darcie Little Badger
Young adult. Elatsoe's America is slightly different from the one we know. Magics and monsters both everyday and dangerous inhabit her world. Elatsoe herself can raise the ghosts of dead animals, a skill passed down through generations of her Lipan Apache family. When her cousin is murdered, Elatsoe decides to find out just what happened, even as his home town does everything it can to bury a truth older and larger than she could've imagined.
Not Even Bones by Rebecca Schaeffer*
Young adult. Nita isn’t a murderer - technically. She just dissects the bodies of supernatural beings her mother brings home and sells for parts on the black market. But when her mother brings home a still living victim, Nita has had enough and frees him. As it turns out, no good deed goes unpunished as Nita is betrayed, her own nature as a supernatural entity outed as she’s kidnapped and placed behind bars. Now she must find a way to escape before she’s sold for parts.
Winter Tide by Ruthanna Emrys*
Aphra and her brother are the only survivors after the government raided their home, Innsmouth. Their only living family are the amphibian people of the deep, whom they will one day join, but until then they are bound to land where they struggle to build new lives for themselves after the great loss of their home and loved ones. Then rumors start to spread of a Russian agent seeking dangerous and ancient magic, forcing Aphra to involve herself as they try to stop it.

All Systems Red by Martha Wells*
After having hacked its own governor module, SecUnit uses its small amount of new freedom to secretly download and watch as much media as it can between doing its job guarding humans. But when the scientists it’s been charged with keeping safe come under attack, it must make a choice about whether to continue keeping its freedom secret or risk it all to save them. I leave up to individual judgment whether SecUnit counts as agender, asexual and aromantic, as it is a robot.
The Angel of the Crows by Katherine Addison*
Sherlock Holmes retelling. After having been injured fighting a war against fallen angels, Doyle returns to London to survive on only a veteran’s pension. To afford a place to live in the city, Doyle finds a housemate in Crow, an eccentric angel with a great curiosity for humans and a knack for solving crime. And London needs its protector - supernatural beings walk the streets, and someone going by the name Jack the Ripper terrifies the citizens at night.
Vicious by V.E. Schwab
While studying near-death experiences as college roommates, Victor and Eli discovered something incredible: under the right circumstances, someone can develop seemingly supernatural abilities. When they moved their research to the experimental stage, things went horribly wrong. Ten years later, Victor has broken out of jail and sets out to hunt his former friend, who is on a mission to eradicate all other superpowered people in existence.
Word of god aro and/or ace

Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson
Young adult fantasy. Artemisia prefers the dead to the living, and is training to become a Gray Sister, a nun who helps the souls of the deceased pass on to the afterlife rather than remain as dangerous spirits. To defend her convent, Artemisia accepts the help of a dangerous revenant, a powerful spirit which grants her great power but also could possess her the moment her guard is lowered. As evil threatens her homeland, Artemisia and the revenant must find a way to work together.
Archivist Wasp by Nicole Kornher-Stace
Wasp is the chosen Archivist in a post-apocalyptic world haunted by the dead. Her job is to hunt the ghosts that still linger, a dangerous and lonely position where she every year is made to fight others to not be replaced. When she meets the ghost of a super soldier, Wasp strikes a deal with him to help him find a long lost friend in exchange for learning more about the world that once was.
The Spider and her Demons by sydney khoo*
Young adult fantasy. All teenager Zhi wants is a normal life (and possibly for her harsh aunt to be a bit nicer), but it’s hard when she’s half spider demon. Every day she must conceal her true nature and hide in human guise. When she slips up and eats a man in front of her rich, aloof classmate Dior, Zhi thinks her life is over. But Dior has secrets of her own, and she is dead set on making herself part of Zhi’s life.
Not canonically aro and/or ace but have The Vibes

Lycanthropy and Other Chronic Illnesses by Kristen O'Neal*
Priya had plans to go to Stanford, but is derailed by the fallout of lyme disease, making her question if she’ll ever get back to normal. Luckily she has her discord support group with whom she can chat and vent about her illness. Even more - she has Brigid, online fandom friend and fellow chronic illness sufferer. But when Brigid disappears from the web without warning, Priya must drive to Pennsylvania to make sure her friend is okay - and finds that Brigid’s condition is a bit hairier than expected.
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir*
Ryland Grace just woke up from a coma, unable to remember anything. He finds himself alone on a space ship, and as his memories slowly trickle back, he realizes he’s been sent on a mission: to find a solution to the impending doom of planet earth. Still struggling with holes in his memories, Ryland tries to fulfill his mission, but as he gets closer to his goal, he discovers someone else got there first. And they aren’t anything close to human. Funny, heartfelt, and heavy on the science.
Malevolent by Harlan Guthrie*
Lovecraftian horror mystery. Private detective Arthur Lester wakes up in his office, his partner dead, memories fuzzy, vision gone, and the voice of a malevolent entity in his mind. Unable to see, Arthur is forced to rely on guidance from the entity as they attempt to solve the mystery of what it is and where it came from. Is this a book? No. But as someone who reads mostly audiobooks, the difference between a book and a fiction podcast is negligible, and also I love this story and its characters and want all of you to do so too.

The Girl from the Well by Rin Chupeco
Young adult horror. Okiku died three hundred years ago, her body thrown down a well. Now she spends her days hunting for and punishing murderers like the one who once killed her. When a strange boy bearing odd tattoos appears in her area, he catches Okiku’s attention - as does something that follows after him. To save the boy, Okiku will be drawn into a journey taking both of them from American suburbia to a faraway shrine in Japan.
Radiant by Karina Sumner-Smith*
In a world where magic is currency, Xhea, wholly devoid of magic, is the lowest of the low. She does have one special ability, though: she can see ghosts. This ability proves useful when she meets Shai, the ghost of a girl from the higher echelons of society who isn't actually dead yet. Her body stolen and her ghost on the run, Shai needs Xhea's help.
A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers*
Technically part two of a series, but stands well on its own as the installments are only loosely connected (though I recommend reading the first book as well, it’s very good). A former ship’s AI recently moved into an illegal android body tries to make sense of life as she navigates her way through humans and aliens alike, paralleled with the story of a young girl working alongside and AI to flee a dystopian planet.

A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers
Novella. Long ago, robots, upon gaining sentience, simply laid down their work and walked into the wilderness. Long after, a tea monk looking for purpose follows after them into the wilds, where they come across one of the robots seeking its own sort of answers. While not plotless, this story focuses more on character and vibes over plot. Also has a nonbinary main character and features conversations on gender between human and robot.
Zero Sum Game by S.L. Huang*
Cas Russel is more than just good at math - she can calculate accurately and quickly enough to dodge bullets and fight those twice her size with ease. She thought she was the only one with an ability like this, until she discovers someone with a power even more dangerous than hers, able to reach into and twist the minds of others. Suddenly too involved to simply run away, Cas must not only save the day, but do so while she can't trust her own thoughts.
Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy*
Young adult. Twelve-year-old Stephanie Edgley’s uncle, famed horror writer, just died mysteriously and left her his entire fortune. As it turns out, the stories he wrote weren’t entirely made up, and that which killed him wasn’t entirely human. In trying to avenge his death, Stephanie joins forces with Skulduggery Pleasant, sorcerer, detective, and living, walking skeleton. Including this one is kinda cheating because (part of) the series has romance, but the central relationship is always the codependent nonsense (affectionate) between the lead and her mentor/detective partner.

When the Angels Left the Old Country by Sacha Lamb*
The angel Uriel and the demon Little Ash have been friends for centuries, living and studying together in a small Jewish community in Europe. But times are changing, and many of the community have left for a new life across the sea. When one of these emigrants go missing, Uriel and Little Ash decide to leave their peaceful life to go find and, if needed, save her.
Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie
A space opera in which sentient spaceships can walk the ground in stolen human bodies, so called ancillaries. One of these ancillaries, the sole survivor after the complete destruction of her ship and crew, is one the hunt for revenge against the most powerful woman in the empire. This series also does very cool things with gender!
Translation State by Ann Leckie*
An exploration of the alien as filtered through the human. At what point does the human become something else? When does something else become human? Is it a question of biology or culture, nature or nurture? Can we choose it? Can it be forced upon us? Set in the Imperial Radch universe, Translation State follows three different characters embroiled in the question of what makes a human. The alien Presger can only communicate with humans using their translators - people they’ve created that are not quite human and not quite alien. But as news of a translator fugitive arises, conflict brews regarding what right they have to choose their own identity and home.
#book recs#if you like portal and fanfic and portal fanfic then may I also humbly suggest my fic corruptive shell rotten core#for that very specific flavor of 'not romantic not platonic but wholly obsessed'#it'll be a few more weeks before i finish the canon aroace sff list so! hope this'll tide yall over#nella talks books

Gym Rat Miguel Part 12
content warning: Miguel is very dramatic in this one, mentions of food
word count: 4k (SHOUTOUT TO MY BETA!! @slushycoookie 🩵)
Prev | Next ✩°。 ⋆⸜ 🎧✮ Masterlist
DISCLAIMER: This story is not canonical. 😒 Most, if not all, of the characters used are OOC. I literally can not stress this enough.
GymRat!Miguel who tries not to dwell on the fact that it’s been just about a month since he’s seen you. It’s the middle of the week and if he thinks about it too much, he’s going to go crazy.
It feels odd because you’re on the same campus as him. You’re not across the country. You’re not out of the country. You’re literally a short walk or drive away and neither of you have time to see each other.
He’s considering printing your pictures out and walking around with them like a forlorn lover looking for his lost soulmate. It feels like he’s back in his bedroom staring at your pictures for hours like a man at war aching for home.
He’s exhausted all of his options.
The couple-lunches have all been rain-checked, the weight of your workload trapping you in the Art building.
Your sleep schedule was terrible, if the late night TikToks and reels were anything to go by. He knew you had morning classes too so he could only assume you’ve had a few hours of sleep during the weeknights.
The weekends were for rest and he didn’t want to disrupt yours.
Your dorm tracked visitors which means he’d only have a few hours with you before curfew if you were even there.
GymRat!Miguel who misses you so bad he’s temporarily replaced his gym playlist for the one you gifted him.
His face is set hard, feet heavy as he sprints over a curved treadmill. After a few minutes he stops, takes a small break, and runs again.
Even the melodic and somber voice playing over a groovy piano couldn’t soothe his thoughts.
His heart rammed in his chest as sweat trickled down his face, his tank drenched and clinging to his chest.
Just a few more sprints to go.
GymRat!Miguel who slides the ear of his headphone off because Xina is standing in front of him, blocking his path.
“Anymore sprints and you’re going to pass out,” she hands him a towel.
“Maybe I want to,” Miguel grumbles, nabbing the towel and rubbing his face like someone spit on it.
Xina grabbed her ponytail and pinned it up, loose hair sticking to her neck. “Don’t say that. It’s not funny. I can only manage pulling your body to the entrance to the gym.”
Miguel snorted.
GymRat!Miguel who fills up the time that he used to spend with you to get to know his friends and meet others.
This meant having game nights with Peter and Ben. They were so close, not really, to convincing him to join their DND parties.
If he wasn’t with them, he was occasionally calling The Geek Squad and catching up. A Friendsgiving date was now tentatively on his calendar because of it.
Of course, his robotics team was still going steady. Aaron was interesting, if nothing else, and Margo was like the little sister he never had.
Then, there was checking up on Gabriel like a Tamagotchi. Was he eating ok? Did he need some money? Is he trapped in the subway? Did a rat eat him?
Gabriel had sent him a screenshot of his contact with his name being changed to “Mom #2.”
Miguel only scoffed and told Gabriel his name was going to get changed to “pain in my ass.”
The newest development, however, was Xina. Her transferring here felt like middle school when they used to be attached at the hip.
They had their programming class together two days out of the week, biweekly study sessions, and the occasional late night excursion.
It also explains why she’s eyeing him from the stairmaster while he heaves over the handles of the treadmill.
GymRat!Miguel who thanked Xina as she handed him his jug of water. He sat up from the bench to let her take a seat.
“So,” she started.
“I’m not helping you hack your professor’s dashboard. While you could do it, it’s not a good idea and quantum physics isn’t that-“
“It’s not that, you dick,” Xina pinched his side. “It’s you. What’s up with you?”
“Nothing is up with me.”
“Miguel.”
“Xina.”
“Now, you’re being a brat. Something is definitely wrong.”
Miguel picked at the peeling Game Over sticker on his bottle. He needed to tape it down or he’d lose it.
“I miss her.”
“Miss who? Your mom?”
“What? No. I miss my girlfriend.”
It was quiet between them, the sound of chatter and the clanking of equipment filled the white noise.
Xina tilted her head, “That bad?”
Miguel nods.
“When’s the last time you saw her?”
He takes a dramatic breath, “Our anniversary date. Last month. I feel…”
“Like you can’t function? Like it’s hard to think?”
“Is that pathetic?” Miguel winces. “I have a feeling you’re going to say that it is.”
“No, I don’t think that.”
Miguel pouts as he looks up. Xina shrugs and slides her hands on down her leggings.
“Remember the times I went boy crazy? All the times I came crying to you after they screwed me over, even when you already warned me they weren’t good guys? I think you deserve to be crazy about your girlfriend.”
“Thanks,” Miguel blinked. “You were way too nice to those first guys.”
“I learned though, didn’t I? I know a good guy when I see him, now,” Xina pushed at Miguel’s shoulders with hers.
“And now those self-defense lessons won’t go to waste, right?”
Xina snorted as she recalled the time she managed to flip Winston on his back at Miguel’s instruction.
GymRat!Miguel who watches Xina’s eyes grow in shock when he tells her how long he’s been dating you.
“Dang,” Xina stops in her tracks. “A year?”
Miguel puffs up his chest and stands a little straighter, a confident stride in his step, “One year and counting.”
“That’s,” Xina turns and waits for a car to go by. She readjusts her gym bag. “That’s awesome, Hare-Hare.”
GymRat!Miguel who feels the mood shift by the time he drops Xina back off. He’s not sure what’s brought it up, but now he’s nervous about upsetting her more.
He taps on the wheel, after he pulls into a park.
“You sure you don’t want me to get you anything? You don’t need to go anywhere?”
Xina unbuckles her seatbelt, “Nope. All good. See you tomorrow?”
“Yeah,” he watches her close the door before he can even finish. “See you.”
GymRat!Miguel who obliges when Xina texts him the next day to switch up their study session location.
Miguel wanted to keep the busy calm of the 1st floor of the library but Xina insisted on giving him a change of scenery.
“It’s good for you! You stare at the screen all day when you’re coding,” Xina slams Miguel’s car door to which he sneer at her for. “You need to look up and smell the coffee sometimes.”
“You just want a reason to not do your work.”
Xina turns around and walks backwards in front of Miguel, “And that’s completely fine. We should live a little.”
She trips over the edge of the sidewalk with a yelp and Miguel is quick to catch her, the panic on his face evident.
“See,” she grins as she pulls herself up by Miguel’s shoulders. “Living!”
GymRat!Miguel who lets Xina order for him while he finds a table.
The cafe was bright, white wood accenting the walls with vines and plants adorning the area. Salmon pink brought a pop of color to the sandy-looking tables and fairy lights hung in the corners of the room.
Miguel’s eyes grew as he saw the variety of desserts on display, his mouth itching to take a bite.
“No, no, no. Go away. I’ll pick something you’ll like,” Xina blocks Miguel’s lingering eyes.
Miguel clicks his teeth, “If it’s not good, I’m going to be really upset.”
“I doubt it.”
GymRat!Miguel who walks deeper into the cafe. He’s dodging ceiling plants left and right, but he’s sure that the best seats are in the furthest of the building.
He shuffles around a corner, eyes adjusting to the sun coming through window.
He blinks a few times and takes in the spacious area.
That’s when he sees you.
He walks fast, the strides of his steps wide.
The closer he gets, the stronger the smell of peaches builds. The sun was shining down like it granted Miguel one the greatest gifts of his life. Its rays danced across the spot that you're in.
He gets to your chair and pulled it out with ease, the sound disrupting the hushed corner.
A pen falls to the floor, voices are cut short, and arms are flailing but Miguel’s nose is buried deep into your neck.
Your arms tighten around his neck and your voice skips across his ears.
“I-” a kiss across your face, “missed you so much.” Miguel looks at you like you hold the stars in the sky within your palm.
“You scared the shit out of me, Miguel,” you say with no really malice in your voice. Your thumbs run across his cheeks, watching as he beams at you. You kiss him once or twice, heart fluttering as your feet dangle in the air.
“I hope there aren’t many people picking you up in the middle of establishments,” Miguel mumbled across your lips.
“Guys, there’s people staring at us,” a voice creeps in from the side of Miguel.
Miguel’s eyes follow it to see a deer-looking kid with hoodie pulled up over his ears.
“Who is this?”
GymRat!Miguel who is introduced to Miles, your freshman classmate that you’ve taken in.
He’s sitting across the table nodding along to you as you rave about Miles’ work. The entire time, his right hand didn’t leave your left one.
“So,” Miguel chimes in when there’s a pause. “Have you both been coming here a while?”
“Nah, I just dragged her out here recently. She never leaves the art building when a deadline is near. It’s kind of depressing-“
“You know, Miles.” You're holding back an eye roll. “There are times when you could just not talk.”
“No, actually tell me more,” Miguel insisted, attentive.
GymRat!Miguel who hurries to help a struggling Xina when she rounds the corner with a tray full of goodies.
A cinnamon roll, a lemon tart, a tall purple drink, and some warm tea is placed on the table while you and Miles clear the area.
You sit up straighter to watch Miguel pick up the tea cup and blow over it. “Tea? No milk with a pinch of coffee?”
“Amor…”
Xina looks over to his cup, “Did you want something else?”
“No, this is good, I haven’t had this in a while,” he takes a sip and hums while explaining to you. “I’ve been on this sweet drink kick since she let me try her frappe last year.”
“That’s rich because you always hated it when I got those.”
“To be fair, you downed like four of those in one day. I’m surprised your body didn’t go into shock.”
“I don’t know,” you shrug. “Four in one day must have meant you were going through it.”
Xina smiles and nods her head, “Exactly. And I told him-”
“We’re not doing this,” Miguel grumbled and stabbed his fork into his roll. “Four was way too much and she was bouncing off the walls all day just to crash and throw up on my shoes.”
“I said I was sorry about that!”
GymRat!Miguel who cuts pieces of his dessert to feed to you. You look at him incredulously as he insists on giving you bite after bite.
“Is it good?” Miguel asks chewing his own piece. You nod and he grins, happy in the bubble he’s created.
When Xina reaches for his plate for a piece he slides it away with ease, a move he knows too well.
“Why can’t I have some? I bought it.”
“You didn’t even ask!”
“Neither did she!”
Miles leans over to you, “I feel like I’m watching a fight between me and my baby sister.”
Miguel is pushing Xina’s hands away from his plate while she laughs up a storm. You think that it does mirror something like Gabriel and Miguel’s relationship, but something about Miguel isn’t the same.
GymRat!Miguel who continues his Tom and Jerry act with Xina even when the food is gone.
They were bickering over some formula that you couldn’t begin to figure out by yourself. To Miguel, it’s easy. To Xina, the setup makes no sense.
“How did you survive Ivy League without me?” Miguel asks as he reaches over and erases an error on her page.
“Like I do anything else, with peace.”
“So what you’re saying is,” Miguel points his pencil at Xina, “you hate me and I am not needed for problems 4 through 10.”
“No!” she panics, pushing his pen back to the paper. “I need you to start this one. I don’t understand it.”
“We just did one like this, though. It’s just the imaginary number all over again.”
Xina groaned and slumped in her chair while Miguel just turned back to his on work.
GymRat!Miguel who peers up from his computer to watch you work. You eyebrows pinch as your wrist moves across the large sketchpad in front of you. Your hand is moving fast and you’re so focused. Miguel hasn’t seen you like this before. In your element.
He leans his head on his hand, cheek squished and staring at you like he’s never seen you, like you were something to be admired.
You were pretty today, a sweater with some cartoon on it and some jeans that flared out at the bottom. Your bunny necklace was dangling around your neck and your glasses were falling down your nose.
You push them back and a smudge of charcoal from moving Miles’ artwork gets on your cheek.
“Stare at her any harder and she might grow something freaky,” Miles whispers.
Miguel falters and grabs a napkin, leaning to wipe your cheek, “She has something on her face.”
GymRat!Miguel who tries to be even more discreet as he watches you fill up the page. It’s mesmerizing seeing what you come up with.
He’ll type a little bit then look at your sketches, he’ll click a few links then look at your face. Sometimes, you would catch him looking and smile at resulting in his heart picking up.
Occasionally, Miles would ask your opinion on something and you would give him pointers, the two of you discussing something about focal points and rule of threes.
Miguel just wanted to put his stuff up and listen to you all day.
“What are you working on?” Xina asks, her voice breaking the silence. She’s staring directly at your drawings, fingers tapping against her notebook.
You perk up and flip your pad around, “It’s some ideas for one of our bigger projects! The theme is reinventing a classic, so I’m thinking something like a spin on Lady Godiva with a haunted theme and darker palette. Or The Fallen Angel with a bird’s eye perspective of him on the ground.”
You took a breath and flipped the page, “And then there’s The Kiss which I wanted to actually do a glaze to really give it that ‘mosaic’ look.”
Miguel leaned in with Xina to take a closer look.
The sketch was exceptional to say the least. Miguel wasn’t too sure how the original painting looked, but your drawing detailed a woman wrapped in these angular, moving shapes. Her face was angled up and a far-off look adorned her features. To her right sat a man whose lips were on her neck and his attention solely on her.
It was soft, yet strong. How you managed to put so much intimacy onto a single page was beyond him.
The feeling of it was familiar and when he looked up at you, he knew.
Miguel opens his mouth, “It’s..”
“Boring.”
“Beautiful.”
He turns to Xina with a frown on his face as she flips back to the front page.
“I mean, I think one of the other two is better, you know? More of a twist on the originals. The last one feels safe.”
The table is quiet as Xina’s comment marinates. She’s flipping further into your book and Miguel promptly snatches it from her and closes it a bit harder than he needs to. Miles shifts in his seat, chewing on the straw of his drink.
“Can you explain why it feels safe to you?” your fingers pick at a nail.
She looks up, “Well, don’t you want to stand out? Out of the others, I don’t think this one is that unique.”
“The point isn’t to stand out,” Miles chimes in. “The assignment is about remixing a classic and all three of these do that pretty well.”
Your smile is small, “Thanks, Miles.”
“So which one do you think is better?” Xina asks.
“The last one,” both Miles and Miguel say.
“It carries the emotion of the original while also bringing more focus to couple rather than the abstracted cloth. You can see the love between them in a way that the original doesn’t have and it’s not even painted yet,” Miles talks with ease. “But! That’s just my opinion.”
“I think it’s powerful,” Miguel hums. “You should go with that one.”
You nod, thumbing over the corner of the pages.
GymRat!Miguel who watches Miles nearly fly out of the cafe.
Something about catching the bus to go see a friend perform.
“Poor thing,” you mumble. “He didn’t even buy the tickets yet.”
GymRat!Miguel who can almost see the stress coming off of you in waves the later it gets in the evening.
“Are you alright?” Miguel places his hand over yours.
“Yeah, I think I need a nap.”
“Need me to drive you back?”
“No, it’s fine. You need to drive Xina back.” You start to pack up. “I brought my car anyways.”
Miguel follows your movements, hands putting his laptop up as well.
He hurries to pull your chair out and you thank him with a quiet voice. He follows you from the table to the door to your car. The scene is almost comical the way he’s in your peripheral.
“Will I see you again soon?” Miguel leans on the hood of your car, body practically falling onto you in the driver’s seat. “We gotta set up a date.”
“I’ll see what I can do, baby,” you rub his face and kiss the kicked-puppy look off of his face. “I’ll text you once I get back.”
“Please.”
GymRat!Miguel who throws his backpack in the backseat and slumps over the wheel once he’s certain your car was down the road.
“What now?” Xina patted Miguel’s back. “You miss her again?”
Miguel just dug his head onto the horn, the effect alerting anyone within 50ft radius.
“Ok, ok,” Xina yanked him up by his shoulders only for him to drop back down again. She sighs and grabs the back of his head with a slight yank to his hair.
Miguel swats her hand away with a grit to his teeth and a pinch to his brows.
Xina only holds her hands up with a grin lining her lips, “Calm down.”
“You’re really annoying me today.”
Xina drops her hands and her smile falters. Miguel straightens up with an apology on the roof of his mouth before Xina picks back up with joy.
“What I think you need is an awesome rager for your birthday.”
“No.”
“Why not? It could be fun!”
“I’m all partied out until next year.”
“Not even with your friends? People from your department? A couple of classmates? The robo nerds?”
“That’s robo rockstars to you.”
Xina laughed and buckled her seatbelt.
“I think it could be great, seriously. We’re doing it.”
Miguel only groaned and turned on the ignition.
GymRat!Miguel who wanted to use his Sunday for relaxation, a cheat day, maybe a game or two with Gabriel, Peter, and Winston.
Instead, he’s lying on his bed listening to Xina rant about one of her roommates using the sink as a trash can.
“Like we have a ridiculously expensive trash can that’s less than a foot away from the sink. It’s a simple spin and drop.”
“Ok, I get this is really gross, but don’t you have other friends you could bother?”
Xina pauses, and points her finger at him, “Hey, I’m here to help you out. If I wasn’t here, who knows how down in the dumps you’d be.”
“This isn’t helping me.”
GymRat!Miguel who answers his phone while Xina has managed to pull Peter into a game of Overcooked on his Switch.
“Hey, Ma.”
“Miguel! How do I connect your father’s computer to the TV? He found a movie that we could watch but the screen is so small.”
“He found a movie but can’t connect cords?”
“Just answer the question, mijo.”
Miguel sits up, prepared to spend at least forty minutes trying to explain what an HDMI cord is.
“Yeah.”
Xina gasps, pauses the game leaving a displeased Peter, and hops into the corner of Miguel’s phone.
“Hi, Mrs. O’Hara!”
“Hola, mi dulce niña! Hace mucho que no te veo. ¿Que tal te ha ido?“ (Hello, my sweet girl! I haven’t seen you in a long time. How have you been?)
“Más o menos, pero me alegro de verte.” (So-so, but I’m happy to see you.)
“No, Xina! ¿Qué tienes?” (What’s wrong?)
Miguel just plopped the device in Xina’s hand, “I like how you both started a conversation on my phone.”
“We’ve got important things to discuss,” Xina waved him off while she and his mother continued to fawn over each other.
Miguel just slid off the bed and joined Peter.
GymRat!Miguel who doesn’t get his phone back until curfew hours are around the corner.
Xina and his mom discussed everything from reality TV to recipes to her time up north. Xina left happier than when she came in which Miguel didn’t mind. He just wished he could have had the room to himself.
GymRat!Miguel who doesn’t see your message until he’s about to go to sleep.
“Baby”
“Let’s do something together on your bday”
Miguel unpeeled his eyes and typed swiftly.
“YES”
“YEESSSS”
“Best birthday ever already”
“Someone’s excited”
“I haven’t even said what we’re doing yet”
“What are we doing”
“Tell me please”
“Pleasepleasepleaseplease”
“Mmm”
“No”
“It’s a secret 🙂↔️”
“I can wait”
“That you are”
“Sometimes”
“😗”
“But mi luz I think Xina is trying to plan something too”
“Oh”
“Should we raincheck then?”
“NOOOOOO!”
“I can do both”
“I’ll literally split myself in two”
“You don’t have to choose”
“My gift is small”
“I want you to have fun on your special day”
“Can you come to the party?”
“I don’t want to miss it but I’ll have to see”
“If anything it’ll be much later”
“As long as I get to see you I’ll be happy”
“Good night bebé”
“Night!”
"Love you"
“Love you more"

Bringing this game back.
C:E!Joon meets KGP!Joon. And FMU!Jungkook because why not, I love this fictional man and he brings ✨chaos✨
YOU. YOU have created something divine. You dropped two war-forged apex predators mid-powerplay into a street noodle dimension and sandwiched them around a stoner in Sonic pajama pants who calls every authority figure “bossman.” This is Shakespearean. This is art. This is a multiversal HR violation.
AHHHHHH I missed the jungkoode universe soooo much, let’s begin.:
📍 Hong Kong backstreet. Midday sun. Someone yelling about stolen squid. The air smells like oil, traffic, and fate making a joke.
BAMMM. 💥 MULTIVERSE GLITCH.
C:E!Namjoon appears mid-wall slam—gloves askew, breathing hard, clearly about to violate several sections of the Consortium’s HR guidelines. His violet eyes narrow instantly as he registers the unfamiliar skyline.
Across the street—pop. KGP!Namjoon manifests mid-sentence, briefcase in one hand, silenced pistol tucked at his ribs, jaw tight. He doesn’t move for a full second. Then he inhales like someone just canceled a ten-year plan with a glitter bomb.
And then—oh, and then—thump.
Between them appears FMU!Jungkook in Sonic pajama pants, no shirt, one sock, blinking blearily with his hair doing That Thing™. He turns in a slow circle.
“…Nix?”
No answer. He frowns. Looks around again.
“Oh my god. The weed was too strong.”
C:E!Namjoon speaks first, sharp and resonant like a missile launch. “This is not the Consortium’s urban tier.”
KGP!Namjoon, already exhausted, checks his watch mid-snarl. “I was in the middle of an international negotiation—”
FMU!Jungkook just points a shaky finger. “Why are there two men dressed like final bosses from John Wick 6: Bureaucracy Edition. Is this a prank? Am I dying??”
C:E!Namjoon turns to him slowly, pupils narrowing like he’s assessing a bug that accidentally hacked a military satellite.
“You are… a local organism?”
FMU!Jungkook: “Okay rude first of all. I’m a man. Second of all, I smoked like half a joint and now I’m seeing Dior twins doing a silent staring contest in the middle of Mong Kok, so someone owes me a fruit juice or a medical intervention.”
KGP!Namjoon finally cuts in, still calm, still furious. “That is not my Jungkook.”
C:E!Namjoon raises a brow. “You know him?”
“No,” KGP!Joon replies immediately. “But he looks like someone who sets fire to his own apartment and calls it a growth arc.”
Jungkook: “Okay rude. That only happened once, and it wasn’t even my fault.”
C:E!Namjoon finally turns to him, confused. “You don’t belong to either of us.”
FMU!Jungkook looks up. “THANK YOU. Been trying to tell that to capitalism and fate for years. No one’s owning me, bossman. I belong to the streets. And Nix in bed. Sometimes.”
C:E!Namjoon blinks. “He uses… idiomatic fragmentation. I cannot parse this dialect.”
FMU!Jungkook: “Get in line, robot.”
KGP!Namjoon’s eye twitches. “This is beneath me.”
C:E!Namjoon crosses his arms. “If we are here, there is a purpose.”
FMU!Jungkook throws both hands up. “Okay Neo from IKEA, if you dragged me outta Nix’s bed for a moral arc or whatever, you’re gonna have to talk slower. Also, like. Lower. I’m still high.”
Both Namjoons ignore him.
KGP!Namjoon: “This is a multiversal breach. It must be contained.”
C:E!Namjoon: “Agreed. What is your rank?”
KGP!Namjoon: “Supreme Commander of Kkangpae. Seoul HQ.”
C:E!Namjoon, tilting his head like a judge on a planet no one’s heard of: “I am Chief Architect of the Epitaph Algorithm. I coordinate twelve sectors across five galaxies.
FMU!Jungkook: “Bro you guys are roleplaying and I’m just trying to find a 7-Eleven.”
KGP!Namjoon, annoyed: “Are you always like this?”
FMU!Jungkook: “Always like what? Sexy? Confused? Shirtless? Yes.”
C:E!Namjoon, icily: “He is distracting.”
KGP!Namjoon: “He’s a walking liability.”
Jungkook: “I’m a GIFT, actually.”
The two Namjoons glance at each other—one cold, one calculating, both deeply offended to be forced into this multiversal Tinder rejection of a scenario.
So now they’re stuck. In a crowded Hong Kong alley. Two warlords posturing at each other while FMU!Jungkook squats on the curb with street noodles and mutters, “this is just like that time I took NyQuil and watched The Matrix.”

short little dsmp thought from my drafts (tw for referenced torture)
c!sam left the server at some point early on. he'd seen alyssa and callahan leave and after continuing to get his stuff stolen and dragged into drama, he leaves too. but he leaves behind his latest robot, one nearly indistinguishable from himself. he makes sure it's moral and always does what's right. and it reports back to him every week.
the server operates in the back of his mind now, something about another war, betrayals and secret alliances. he doesn't pay much attention, working on his own side projects. then the robot asks him permission for something... "should i let harm come to the monster"
it's not super coherent, and upon further notice the backlog of reports is looking sparse. sam figures it needs some maintenance and is malfunctioning. he assumes the question was about mobs and the morality of killing them. so he sends back a "protect the people around you. if that means harm to monsters, then that's okay." the robot goes quiet after that, no real reports. just: "all is right." every so often.
the robot has slipped his mind when he runs into quackity on the mcc server months later. he's greeted with an overly familiar smile that sets off alarm bells.
"didn't expect you to be taking a day off, warden." quackitys eye twitches.
sam shrugs, "can only work on the same project for so long before it gets boring."
quackity bristles, "i'm making more progress than you did. i have dream begging and pleading with me, all you did was let him sit around. when i get the revive book it'll be off my work."
sam has no idea what any of that means. so he asks about the only thing he does recognize. "how is dream?"
quackity scoffs, "stubborn and annoying as ever." normally sam would laugh and agree, but the way quackity says it sets his mind on edge. "i'm sure you saw him how i left him today. i wonder how long it took him to finally die and respawn."
"what did you do?" sam asks, trying to push down the horrifying sense that quackity isn't playing around.
"hacked through his leg with an old pair of shears. quackity grins, snapping his suspenders with a satisfied look in his eyes.
sam holds back bike, quickly he pulls up the logs. the robot doesn't mention anything about quackity or dream. the last thing he got was the odd question. the growing dread burst into full terror. "i have to go." he tells quackity, running off to the server portal without hearing his goodbye.
the first thing he notices when he gets back on the server is that the air stinks. it's stagnant and thick with the smell of gunpowder. urgently he pulls up the robots tracker, rushing toward it quickly. he's so focused on his compass, he doesn't notice the building until he's nearly on top of it.
a massive rectangular box of obsidian blocks the horizon. the tracker says the robot's inside and he has to push down dread as he enters. his robot greets him immediately, "the prisoner is not taking visitors at the moment."
"what have you been doing?" sam asks, walking around the desk.
"i've been doing what is right and necessary." the robot answers methodically.
sam's fists clench at his side, "override any commands you have and take me to the prisoner."
the robot hesitates for a moment, but follows his orders obediently. it leads him through tight twisting tunnels deeper and deeper into the obsidian. sam waits with baited breath as the wall of lava drops slowly. the sight that meets him has him doubling over spitting up bile.
red-brown covers the walls and floor. and the air is so thick and hot and rot-scented he can hardly catch his breath. dream is almost unrecognizable, a bony bleeding body trembling in the corner. his mask is missing and his golden curls lay in thick dark mats over his face.
"dream," he whispers horrified.
a raspy whisper barely makes it to his ears, "please sam. please don't let him come back, i'll do anything. please."
sam reaches for him, recoiling as dream flinches away. "i'm getting you out of here."
dream shakes his head weakly. his body weights almost nothing as sam pulls him into his arms. dreams breathing goes ragged and panicked, clawing at sam's chest. "i've got you," sam promises, "we're getting away from here."
"i'll never give you the book," dream sneers.
sam shakes his head and holds dream closer.

may i ask why you dont like human characters? no hate or anything, seriously just curious
Siiiiiigh
Ok. I'm gonna try to answer this without devolving into angry ranting and assume you really are asking in good faith. There's a number of reasons, personal and practical, but I'm gonna try to keep this short for my sanity's sake
1. Humans are always always always always always the worst part of a transformers show. Always. They rarely add anything but a pointless macguffin or, somehow, end up magically being a foil for the decepticons. The human characters are almost always a bunch of children that the bots end up having to babysit. I'm here to watch alien robots fighting a war, not to watch them looking after someone's snotty crotch goblins. I will admit, part of my distaste is because I just really fucking hate kids that aren't mine. I can't stand them. If I never had another child within 20 miles of me, I would be a much happier, healthier person. The only time human characters actually add anything is when they're allowed to have peer-to-peer relationships with cybertronians, and even then, it often falls flat because the adult humans oft work with the government so it's more of a coworkers/employees/boss sort of relationship. See Agent Fowler from Prime, all of NEST from bayverse, or Marissa from the comics. I can count on one hand the amount of times I have actually enjoyed (not just tolerated, enjoyed) a human character. Charlie from Bumblebee, Dot from Earthspark, and Chief Burns from Rescue Bots. That is literally it.
2. The writers often try way too hard to make the kids either endearing or hyper-relevant to the plot, and it falls so flat. It takes far too much attention off of the actual transformers, aka, the NAMESAKE OF THE SHOW. In the bayverse movies, it takes about 40 minutes for transformers to start transformers-ing. That is unacceptable. Earthspark started off strong but quickly became more about Mo and Robbie, not the transformers. TFP was constantly cramming Miko's obnoxious shenanigans down our throats to make her "cool" and "relatable", but all it did was make me want to strangle her. Having Rafael able to rival Soundwave in terms of hacking skill is ridiculous. Having Sari be a techno-organic abomination was ridiculous. Making Jack a temporary Prime is ridiculous! They try so hard to make the humans cool to draw in the kids in the audience that it takes attention off of the ones who the show is actually supposed to be about. That's why I hold cyberverse in such high regard: it had no human protagonists and focused solely on the cybertronians. In my opinion, that's the way it should be. If I wanted to watch a show about my own species, I would watch literally anything else. But I don't, so I'm not doing that.
3. And this last one is the most personal, I find human beings disgusting. I'm so heavily aromantic + asexual that I find 99% of us repulsive. They make me so uncomfortable to look at aksjskaka. I don't even like the texture of my own skin, ffs. We're walking talking microcosms of bacteria and disease, and the last thing I want is my nice sterile mecha contaminated and overshadowed by an organic skinsuit full of pressurized blood and organs. Pass
Tldr: they never add anything of value, they distract from the characters who should actually be the protagonists, and I personally find humans gross + unsettling. Hope that clears it all up

Call of Duty: CyberLove
Summary: The start of the journey for Captain Terris, a Former member of the NEST team, who joins forces in the battle with Kyle Garrick and John Price of the SAS
Pairing: Poly 141 x OC, Gaz x OC
Word Count: 4,476
Masterlist

After serving in the American military for eleven years, ten of the years with the Classified Strike team; Non-Biological Extraterrestrial Species Treaty also known as NEST. After many events with the Autobots and NEST team, I went into quasi-retirement before moving to the United Kingdom in 2018 for a peaceful life but active for any private contract jobs. The Director of National Intelligence, Charlotte Mearing gave my contact information to the CIA Agent Kate Laswell for any mission that required my experiences.

Piccadilly
London, UK
October 25, 2019
18:00
I am strolling toward the plaza as the street is bustling with people shopping. My earpiece attaches to the radio pick up of the chatters from the nearby police radio system as I walk past an SUV containing the SAS officer with the CTSFO. I was contacted by Laswell an hour ago and am currently undercovered to keep the terrorist group, Al-Qatala unaware of my presence. I notice a white van loaded with a few barrel bombs and I quickly but calmly move toward the crossover. I didn’t step in unless I had an option. Then chaos went down and I quickly worked on getting the civilians out of harm's way as I gave backup to the police. I also radio in the situation,
“This is Captain Terris of NEST, We are under attacks near Piccadilly Circus by Terrorists! We need backup now!!” I reported as I opened fire on the terrorists. I helped with the civilian evacuation while shooting down the terrorists. I quickly assembled my sniper gun and helped long distance, shooting down shooters up on the top windows of the surrounding building. After a while, I helped the SAS officer Kyle Garrick at the Tanto building for reports of hostages.
I help with the fallen door but knock it down as Garrick gets attacked by a knife-wielding terrorist until gunshots hit the enemy. I turn to see and have a hand up as Garrick calls out,
“Blue! Blue!” Garrick helped me up, I gave him a nod as the newcomer came over. He checked if we were armed and we confirmed before lifting the door out of the way.
He introduced himself as Captain Price before we headed into the Tanto building. We heard the beeping sound of a bomb as Price told us to check the corners. I quickly checked corners as we headed up and found no terrorists near the hostages. One of the hostages had a vest filled with explosives and went to work on disarming it. I removed my glove, revealing a cybernetic hand, and used it to hack the phone and stop the timer as I disarmed the bomb.
“Bomb neutralized. Hang on sir, I will get it off you as soon as possible. Try to stay calm.” I inform the other and calm the man in the vest as I break the lock with my robotic hand before helping him remove it. After escorting the civilians out and to the hands of the officers nearby. I walk up to Garrick and gently pat his shoulder,
“You good there?” I asked as Captain Price came up to check in on us. Garrick nods but his mind is elsewhere, frustrated by the limitation of his duty.
“It shouldn’t have happened in the first place… They sent us in half-assed, so everyone can just keep pretending we’re not at war.” Garrick gritted out
Price agrees with his answer,
“Yeah, lie of the fuckin’ century, that is.”
“Not to mention how limited we are with the rules of engagement regarding where and when, but never the how of the missions. I may be out of my place but I know how challenging it was in my unit back in America.” I respond as I put my glove back on, looking at them.
“Not to mention that my men were tracking that cell for weeks,” Garrick stated, caught Price's attention.
“You had actionable intel on this?” He asked and Garrick shrugged, agreeing to his question. Price told him that he was with him and invited me to take part before making a call to Laswell.
“I never got a chance to introduce myself to you, I’m Natasha Terris, former Captain of the Classified strike team NEST.” I introduce myself to Garrick.
“Kyle Garrick, Sargent of the SAS. I’m glad that you can help though the situation is not ideal as we are dealing with the Al-Qatala terrorists.” He said as I nodded in agreement.
“We’ll need to catch up to Price, share intel and work on stopping the terrorist. The last thing I want is another war where others are being… Don’t mind me, go through a lot worse with NEST and the Transformers.” I responded and rubbed my arm before he patted me on the shoulder in comfort. I smile at him before we catch up with Price, ready for whatever we can to stop the war.

*Rebecca stretches as she comes back from another job that frankly was too easy. With her latest enhancements she's gotten a lot better at combat and even learned how to use hacks effectively plus the fact she now was able to use a more adult form of herself which further proved how much she's grown. When she arrives at the hideout she smiles slightly putting the password in and enters though she noticed most of the crew were out on other jobs. She did know of one who would still be here and starts walking around looking for her*hey Orisa I'm home where you at choom?
The hide out was mostly just an old garage that Rebecca and her crew had taken over after killing the previous tenants. After some rummaging, they had found Orisa and booted her up. She had not even been turned on the old war, so she basically didn't care who owned this place before then. They had attempted to hack her, but found her A.I. a bit more advanced. The others seem to think she was just some junkyard dog meant to protect the grounds, but only the woman seemed to really notice how sentient Orisa really was.
She came walking from around the compound, and turned as she heard her name. A robotic sigh was heard as she walked over to the nearly fully cybernetic woman. "I am not a choom Rebecca." She said for the thousandth time. She walked out from the shadows, and Rebecca would immediately recognize that the large four legged bot was a bit different. Her chest was slightly pushed out with a black skin-like material now peeking through. Her hind end was in a similar state, along with her feet now appearing like heels. Her walking stride now appearing more like a strut. Every step causing her armor to jiggle ever so slightly. "What is it that you need?

Okay I had to properly draft everything
Everything was made on the spot and tbh I completed it with the motivation to share with you when I sent that first ask I hadn't even gotten past the Soundwave depresso™ phase
Okay so this was actually a mashing of my other unspoken concepts just so I can lead up to write Moto Moto Soundwave and Moto Moto Shockwave scenes
The plot: Soundwave grieves the dead and listens to Optimus confessing his woes to the stars, and he gets inspired to defeat Megatron with community, not tyranny
He does this by making a Vehicon Tumblr account and teaches socialism to the masses for 3 weeks
But then Megatron is about to leave the planet for dark energon and he knows "Shit that's good but that's also bad" because dark energon does exist and who knows how much more insane he'll be when he gets back with an actual chunk of it?
When Vehicons become a bit more daring and gossipy Megatron begins to presume there's a dissenter amongst them. So Soundwave covers his tracks by hacking a Sims 4 account and dumping his Tumblr ID upon it, which leads to the whole Sims 4 database hacking his own gamer set up (not connected to the ship) and taking over his account, making it a public forum for Vehicons to post anonymous questions and answer with their own accounts through his account while discussing more politics
(remember how RID15 has a Vehicon that's independent? I can't fucking find his name on the wiki so forgive me) He's the leader of all this, with his right servo advisors Steve and (insert robot name joke here)(Axel maybe?) Axel is in the Sims 4 database while Steve is servo on deck with the leader
Soundwave tries to stop Megatron from leaving by reminding him of the dangers of alien god meth, meanwhile Ratchet is kidnapped by Vehicon leader and Steve (I wanted it to be Soundwave but unfortunately it would be character assassination :< ) they question him about human politics and ask if Optimus will really light their darkest hour. Ratchet is confused and pissed but answers honestly and devises a plan with theme which /is not/ part of the script but any genuine aid to end the war, especially after what Soundwave's been doing, is accepted and necessary
So the two 'abduct' Ratchet and he tries to send a message to Optimus but it's static due to interference by a solar storm so Optimus worries. Meanwhile Megatron has to stay back due to the solar storm so Soundwave has some more time, but then he panics when he sees footage of Ratchet in an unused lab on the Nemesis. He lets him stay to teach the Vehicons more socialism, but it turns into Ratchet adopting Knockout as his new student after so many years
This leads to the Vehicon uprising now that Ratchet has made everyone sobber from the numbness with his life story, and Vehicon leader dude (Imma call him Hookshaw), Knockout and Breakdown are taking directly after him. Soundwave has no grasp on anything anymore other than Megatron asking him /what the fuck, why don't they fear me?/ While Starscream is screeching, trying to take control now that Megatron is no longer recognised as the leader
Hookshaw comes up to a confused Megatron, Soundwave and Starscream and reveals everyone is done with their bullshit and they want their homeplanet back. Soundwave gets doxxed and Megatron feels the second betrayal by his closest friend. The third betrayal is immediate as Optimus wlaks through the Vehicons and comes to stand beside Hookshaw, with Ratchet at his side. Soundwave is confused but walks up to them at Optimus' call and Megatron is dead inside but the gravity of the situation weighs heavy on him and he's filled with rage but Optimus stops him from committing a massacre.
Starscream tries to make himself leader but Soundwave slaps him into a wall
___________
Okay that's the plot of the first sedtion
Just to justify and build up to the Wave Husbands gay panic scene I really really really wanna write
Just five months left and I'm free of the horrors 😃💧👄💧😃
Everything was made on the spot and tbh I completed it with the motivation to share with you when I sent that first ask I hadn't even gotten past the Soundwave depresso™ phase
Two things:
When is it my turn to find someone whose presence motivates me to draft an entire fic in one sitting? 🥺
“Soundwave depresso(TM) phase” made me laugh. I see I’m not the only one who headcanons that Soundwave is prone to depressive episodes. (note: the depression isn’t funny—just the fact that Soundwave depresso™️ phase is definitely a thing to me too).
Moto Moto Soundwave and Moto Moto Shockwave scenes
If this is referring to what I think it’s referring to, I’m dead 💀 That scene is partially to thank for my disgust for romantic displays of the…dancing kind.
Anyway, moving on…
One thing before I comment on the plot:
You didn’t specifically state what you were looking for by sharing this idea with me, so I’m gonna slip into my default and share thoughts, personal headcanons, and light constructive criticism on a few things. I don’t mean to be hyper-critical; I’m just here to point out what could be changed to make things more coherent. Soundwave is my blorbo of blorbos, so I have strong opinions about him.
Soundwave grieves the dead and listens to Optimus confessing his woes to the stars, and he gets inspired to defeat Megatron with community, not tyranny
He does this by making a Vehicon Tumblr account and teaches socialism to the masses for 3 weeks
I’m going to assume right here that you’re not looking to write Soundwave in character, since Aligned Soundwave definitely doesn’t have socialist values. OOC Soundwave is cool; I’m just making sure we’re on the same page so that I don’t point out OOC things needlessly.
But then Megatron is about to leave the planet for dark energon and he knows "Shit that's good but that's also bad" because dark energon does exist and who knows how much more insane he'll be when he gets back with an actual chunk of it?
One of my pet headcanons for Soundwave is that he was one of the few who never got addicted to dark energon, even back on Cybertron before the war. A taste here or there, maybe, but nothing more.
I only share since it may useful or interesting for your story.
Soundwave covers his tracks by hacking a Sims 4 account and dumping his Tumblr ID upon it, which leads to the whole Sims 4 database hacking his own gamer set up (not connected to the ship) and taking over his account, making it a public forum for Vehicons to post anonymous questions and answer with their own accounts through his account while discussing more politics
I’ve never played any of the Sims games, so I can only imagine how one might set up a network on the game. I’ll take your word for it. lol
I totally forgot about that Vehicon. It’s been so long since I watched RiD15, and there were way too many throwaway antagonists for me to keep track of.
Ratchet is kidnapped by Vehicon leader and Steve (I wanted it to be Soundwave but unfortunately it would be character assassination :< ) they question him about human politics and ask if Optimus will really light their darkest hour. Ratchet is confused and pissed but answers honestly and devises a plan with theme which /is not/ part of the script but any genuine aid to end the war, especially after what Soundwave's been doing, is accepted and necessary
About Cybertronians learning from human politics:
I can see it happening, but I’m pretty sure Ratchet’s Cybertronian pride and lack of interest in human affairs would mean he’d reference Cybertronian politics first. I’m sure Cybertronians had something similar to socialism.
He lets him stay to teach the Vehicons more socialism, but it turns into Ratchet adopting Knockout as his new student after so many years
I love the thought of Ratchet taking Knockout under his wing, but if Ratchet is with the 'Cons for several years, who takes care of the Autobots during that time? Or do they just miraculously get by without him?
Soundwave has no grasp on anything anymore other than Megatron asking him /what the fuck, why don't they fear me?/
I find it hard to believe that Soundwave would have 0 awareness or control over anything that’s happening at this point. He’s kept the Decepticons under his careful watch for eons, so unless he’s totally mentally checked out, he knows what’s been happening and has been guiding events as opportunities arise.
Hookshaw comes up to a confused Megatron, Soundwave and Starscream and reveals everyone is done with their bullshit and they want their homeplanet back. Soundwave gets doxxed and Megatron feels the second betrayal by his closest friend. The third betrayal is immediate as Optimus walks through the Vehicons and comes to stand beside Hookshaw, with Ratchet at his side. Soundwave is confused but walks up to them at Optimus' call and Megatron is dead inside but the gravity of the situation weighs heavy on him and he's filled with rage but Optimus stops him from committing a massacre.
The King of Blackmail getting doxxed is a total uno-reverse move. ahsjdjfk
Starscream tries to make himself leader but Soundwave slaps him into a wall
This got a genuine laugh out of me because just the other day, I told a friend that I’d have given a lot to see Soundwave make Starscream bleed at least once during the show.
Final thoughts:
I’m gonna be upfront with you: I have very particular tastes in Soundwave portrayals, and your idea is outside of my narrow tastes. This isn’t at all to say it’s a bad idea since everyone has their own tastes and takes on favorite characters; I’m just sharing my opinion to curb any future expectations. Also, just because it’s not my thing doesn’t mean I’m not still very curious.
Soundwave waking up and ditching Megatron is one of my favorite ideas to explore. However, it’s incredibly hard to pull off well unless the author dismisses parts of canon (which is always a valid option). I’m curious about where you see Soundwave ending up, now that he’s with Team Prime and the ex-Nemesis crew.
Finally, I’ll take WaveWave (romantic or platonic) over Megawave any day, so if that’s what’s fueling your fire, you have my thanks for choosing the Soundwave ship I can get behind 🔥

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (vol. 1) #52: City at War, part 3
Read Date: November 25, 2023 Cover Date: January 1994 ● Writer: Kevin Eastman ◦ Peter Laird ◦ Jim Lawson ● Pencils: Jim Lawson ● Inks: Keith Aiken ● Letterer: Mary Kelleher ●

**HERE BE SPOILERS: Skip ahead to the fan art/podcast to avoid spoilers (👏=didn't like it, 👏👏=it was ok, 👏👏👏=I liked it, 👏👏👏👏=I really liked it!, 👏👏👏👏👏=I loved it!)
Reactions As I Read: ● “The Feet” lol

● 👏👏👏
Synopsis: Casey wakes up in Gabby's trailer, too injured to eat. Gabrielle tells Jones that he can stay there and rest up if he wants to, and Casey says that he might. Jones then dials the local police to report the incident, but when the operator answers he just hangs up. He grabs a drink and heads outside to take a walk.
April is reading about the Foot violence in the New York Times. The story sparks her memories of the Foot burning down her antique store. Robyn interrupts her sister's thoughts and the two head out to do some shopping.
Gabby gets an hour off so she heads home and is surprised to find Casey still there. Jones has cleaned up the trailer and made lunch that they share.
Master Splinter is in the woods of Northampton, Massachusetts, attempting to meditate, but something is on his mind and he cannot concentrate.
Casey and Gabby are talking about the family that Jones left behind in New York.
"You miss your family, huh Casey?" Gabby asks.
"Yeah, I guess…" Casey mumbles, "Yeah…"
Gabrielle takes Casey's hand and tells him, "I just want you to know… when you're ready… if you're ready… to tell me… I'll be here. Until then… I'd like you to stay."
With that out in the open, Gabby kisses Casey.
In New York City, an Asian businessman is riding on a bus. He opens his briefcase and connects a cordless phone to his laptop computer, using it to hack into the power company's computers. He flags an account as seven months overdue. The power company discovers this odd glitch and wonders how it got past them for so long without anyone noticing, but rather than investigate further, they simply shut off the electricity in a building - one that the Foot Soldiers are using as a headquarters.
In Tokyo, Japan we see a conference with numerous business people gathered around a table. A man notes that their software has almost completed beta test phase and that it is a pity that they allowed the New York factions to go to war for so long. A woman notes that it was to their advantage to wait.
"In chaos there is weakness." she states.
Back in New York City, the Turtles prevent a woman from being mugged by three men. Raphael is tired of being a street vigilante and wants to find the Foot.
We see the old man in the hospital, sitting up for the first time with assistance from his nurse.
Leonardo tells Raphael that they just need to wait, and that in time their path will be revealed.
"Could ya keep the Zen crap to yourself for now, Leo?" Raph sneers, "We don't all have your freakin' Buddha nature, ya know… some of us actually enjoy linear thought! Like me… if I can't figure out whose butt I'm supposed to kick soon, I'm just gonna - -"
With that, Raph sees a strange robot emerging from out of a van driven by Foot Soldiers.
"--bust--" Raphael concludes, "Oboy. ALL RIGHT!"
The robot starts destroying a nearby bus, the one that contains the businessman who had earlier hacked into the power company's computers. The Turtles attack the robot and an army of Foot Soldiers appear from nowhere. Chaos ensues. Raph manages to destroy the robot, and the guys regroup, only to find themselves surrounded by Foot Soldiers and two more robots.
"What a revoltin' development this is." Raph notes as the Foot close in.
Well, look at it this way, Raph," Mike states, "It can't get much worse!"
In the final panel we see one of Shredder's Elite poised on top of a building.

So there was a Town not so far away, yet without Rings she didn't think there was much point in going there. Though she imagined she could salvage some of this equipment to line there pockets just enough to get by. She was sure Tinker could point out what was essential and what wasn't really needed anymore. That could solve there issue with rings. She gave Starline her own saving so if anything she was owed a refund! Though useful the outfits bore to striking a resemblance to Eggman's own, and not something she wanted to get caught in. Maybe she could retailor it somehow?
" A Town? Hmm, If we Salvage some of this equipment we could probably sell it off in town. It would be enough to get us by financially until we can procure some means of living. I'm sure there are some non-essential systems that would be worth a ring or ten... "
Cassia Popped up in front of her sister blocking her view to Tinker as excitable as she use to be as a child. Which was both endearing to Clove and mildly frustrating! She could be so excitable and forget her manners sometimes. but she loved her way to much to reprimand her and besides---she honestly had every right to be excited. It was good to see her this way but she did wonder, was this a cure to her condition? or just a temporary fix.
" YESSSS!!! finally! i can have sweets again! and fruits! and cheeeeeese cake!?!?! "
She cheered loudly as she was practically vibrating in excitement!
" SCREW going with out! i wanna stuff myself so full i can't move!?! besides we've been in those pods how long? i think we are overdo for some calorie intake!! "
her little tail couldn't have been swishing any faster! as she was so excited to have her life back as she hadn't been able to do simple things in so long. It felt good to walk, and run and jump! and hear her sisters voice! but she couldn't wait to get outside and enjoy the sun on her face again! feel the wind, in her hair! simple things she'd been unable to enjoy for so very long!
" HAH eat it Clove your out numbered by nerds! "
She giggled playfully but looked a bit sheepish when confronted about her hacking skill.s
" I use to help crack Eggman's cyphers back during the war... least till my eyesight went completely... it was harder then "
The two followed after Tinker closely as they were mostly lost in this place. It was the numerous pods that were empty or worse that had Clove most concerned. How many died down here? she wondered, were there any others like them? The pronghorn couldn't help but feel so dumb for trusting him so easily. Her desperation got the better of her but where did it get her ultimately? nearly got both of them killed. Sally was right, she was to rash to be a leader... she was better off a grunt.
" Wait, so you escaped from Eggman's mind? what are you some kind of rebellious robotic copy? "
She paused and pinched her nose a moment
" No ... it doesn't matter, you saved us and i'm grateful for that... who you are and where you came from doesn't matter... not as much as what you are doing here and now. "
"Am I? I thought I was simply being a gracious host." Mr. Tinker was then made away that Clove didn't like her choice in clothing. "Ah, I'm afraid at this base you'll find more of the same. Though they seemed to have been made for you specially. It also as some voice commands to enable heating, cooling, and a defensive shield." The tinkerer could admit it was a fine piece of technological engineering. "There is a town not too far for whenever you depart. Though I'm afraid I'm a tad short of rings." He only had what he managed to swipe from the lab he made his body in.
Mr. Tinker couldn't help laugh seeing Cassia get so excited for some coco, though figured he should address another one of Clove's concerns. "Fear not, Cassia is fully capable of eating foods and drinking liquids. I suppose the only difference is her body can go longer without the need if she needs to." It brought a smile to his face hearing how excited the younger sister sounded she no longer had to use a feeding tube.
"Is there something wrong with being a nerd? Why, I do believe I am the biggest nerd here and I quite enjoy being one. I always did find it rather silly how people use the term nerd as an insult." Mr. Tinker never took offense to being called an nerd, and even embraced it. "Well, I hope you use your hacking skills for the good of others if you have to use them." The tinkerer wasn't sure what course of action they two sisters would take, though hoped it was one of peace.
"Now, let us go to the kitchen," Mr. Tinker said as he stood up, leaving the room and making his way towards the area he set up as a makeshift kitchen. "Ugh, I rather hate how easily I can find my way around these facilities. I may have somehow escaped from Eggman's mind, though his memories followed me." The tinkerer was mainly speaking aloud to himself. It was just extremely unpleasant to remember all the horrible things Eggman has done to people.

It was difficult to not feel a little sympathy for a few of the more pathetic DeeBees.

Chainsawing one of the Shepherds results in a full oil and sparks. Contrary to the Swarm, a few of the DeeBees still functioned for a few seconds after I shot off their heads. The marvelous damage is there, although they're different from what we now have come to expect in Gears, they don't feel unsuitable in the world. If anything, earning more sense with what's occurring in the story.
Persona aside, they are solid enemies. Small, and ball-like DeeBees called http://warrobotshackx.com War robots Cheats Trackers will stealthily roll up and you are out of the room and blow up. If you're quick, you can kick it into its allies so that they instead take harm when it goes kablooey. I like war robots cheats how eliminating DeeBees adds another unpleasant tactic. The DR-1 is one of the heavy DeeBees, and uses aircraft in its feet to shift left, right, and even over All these new weapons, including the previously revealed Buzzkill and Dropshot, fit well at the campaign, but its almost semed more fun to find and slay with them in the multiplayer.
Seeing that the beta in Apr, the Gears of Warfare 4 multiplayer has seen a multitude of changes. The most important of those, of course, was rebalancing of the energetic reload system. In the beta, you could try to get ideal wwr hack effective reload as soon as you found a system, which made power guns especially lethal. Your cut would then be stuffed with the active bullets, regardless of how many bullets you needed to fill in the show.
Now, the active refill has a cooldown that starts as soon as you pick up a weapon and after effectively completing an hack war robots active recharge. Keeping an eye on the cooldown didn't feel cumbersome in the few multiplayer matches I acquired to play, and it made me feel a tad bit more tactical. Whether or not this brings true balance to Gears of Battle 4's multiplayer remains to be seen, but it does make active reloading in the competitive landscape more predictable.
