A Walk in the Park || Mei & Wally

It was one of those days — the sun shone brightly with few clouds scattered about and the flowers were in full bloom, coloring the grass as if they were confetti. The park was quite lively with the murmur of hundreds of voices. Wally and Mei have decided to spend their evening together at the National Park in Johto. It was an advertised night where bazaars, performances, and other activities were to be presented.

Mei wasn’t familiar with the park, and even less the region. When she arrived, the time was 3:55PM and there was no sign of the green haired male anywhere. She pulled out her Xtransceiver and sent messages to him. No response. “That’s strange... I’ll just wait somewhere near the entrance so we won’t miss each other when he comes in then.”

She looked around. All of the benches and picnic tables nearby were taken. She wandered a bit but kept getting bumped into and eventually stammered upon a peaceful, personal square. This was no fun. “I guess I’ll...” Mei turned her head and noticed the lamppost beside her. “...stand by the lamppost then?” It was the only open spot that would prevent her from standing in people’s way. Besides, the lamppost looked lonely. She sighed and glanced at the watch on her wrist.

“Let’s meet up at 4:00PM? It’s already 4:30PM!” Mei exclaimed as she stared at the device. She knew that she looked like a complete idiot standing there, yelling at her watch. Heck, people were staring and exchanging whispers beneath their hands as they passed. She didn’t care anymore. “Shota or not, all boys are the same,” the brunette grumbled under breath.
