YEAH. like YEAH the real issue with Yang Kang's life isn't that he's hungry for riches or power -- like he's been raised as a prince all his life, as far as he knows, he's always had that sort of life -- but the way that like, EVERYONE was lying to him. His entire life and existence and sense of identity and self was a lie! Congratudolences.

Like his mom didn't tell him the truth because she was too turbo depressed to care. His....stepdad....adopted dad?? Like Wangyan Honglie loved him yeah, but he was also NOT SANE about Bao Xiruo and stole her from her totally average peasant life by organizing the murder of her husband and etc for the sake of getting her. WYHL ain't telling him he's adopted.

AND THEN there's also Qiu Chuji who KNEW his backstory, but absolutely did not bother to tell him anything AND keeps accusing him of wanting riches. Like my dude, you were not the greatest person towards this boy. I blame him the most because he was friends with Yang Tiexin and had YEARS to explain but no, he refused to. And THEN he turns around to yell at the shellshocked traumatized teenager for not immediately recognizing his biological father???? like???? huh???? what???

Nianci loves him but she wants him to murder the guy who raised him for 18 years. This makes sense bc she has a giant grudge against WYHL but uhm. Not helping his identity crisis here.

Yang Kang kind of reminds me as the template for Demi-Gods and Semi-Devil's Qiao/Xiao Feng, whose life ALSO crashes down when he learns he was adopted and that he didn't even know his real name OR his ethnicity and then racism and one woman being horrendously petty and jealous ruins this man's whole life until he throws himself off a cliff. Like I do get the feeling that that was a more in depth exploration of questions set forth by the horrendous state of Yang Kang's life. We remember Xiao Feng as a hero driven to a horrible shitty death by society, and his life as a tragedy, but I'd argue that Yang Kang's life is pretty fucking tragic too, he just does so many many crimes on the way down lolsob.

The thing that this version really brings to the forefront, I agree with @tavina-writes better than 2008 one (haven't seen the other adaptations) is what an insane identity crisis it is for Yang Kang. He has just learned his entire life has been a lie. His name is fake, his father is fake, his status is fake, his freaking ethnicity is a fake. And what does he get for a support system? A bunch of old people screaming at him that he's ungrateful and disloyal not to accept it the second he finds out and to take some random dude he met for a total of five minutes before his death as his father (those old people may have emotional connections to the dad but he does not.)

Honestly, his mom had soup for brains. She never told him anything at all (clearly what moved her was not patriotism her whole life but love for Daddy Yang since until until he miraculously reappeared she raised her kid as a Jin; heck he may have very well ended up as the heir fighting his bio father's people his whole life at this rate.) And then she offs herself about five minutes after the reveal because she can't lose Daddy Yang again. She and Cang Xuan's mom from Lost You Forever should hang out in the same kind of hell.

But anyway, even by nonexistent standards of feudal times, all those people are TERRIBLE at helping him cope or even understanding anything. The closest he gets is Nianci, who also doesn't really get it but at least offers kindness. No wonder he gloms onto her.

Mmmmmm, this man needs therapy. Instead, he's gonna get more trauma. A lot of Yang Kang's arc is "cool motive, still murder" and that's my fave kind of tragic villain!

I got to admire this woman's hard-working spirit. She saw this total disaster of a man and went "I want that one! I want that one! I love hard work!"

No wonder he gloms. Look at the way he looks! This is the first time since his mother someone shows concern.

IBM Watson Health Announces Baheal Group will Bring Watson for Genomics to China

Baheal will serve as the primary channel partner for Watson for Genomics in China, building on the company's momentum bringing Watson to the market

QINGDAO, China and ARMONK, New York, June 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- IBM Watson Health (NYSE: IBM) today announced that Baheal Pharmaceutical Group will bring Watson for Genomics to clinicians across China. As IBM's primary channel partner for Watson for Genomics in China, Baheal will establish an ecosystem within China to sell the molecular data interpretation technology to clinicians and researchers across the country. The new multi-year agreement comes less than 3 months after Baheal and IBM launched a strategic alliance to distribute Watson for Oncology in China.

Last year, the Chinese government launched a $9.2 billion precision medicine initiative to invest in the growing field of genomics, which holds particular promise in oncology.(1) Physicians and researchers have made groundbreaking discoveries on the genetic drivers of cancer, which in some cases turn out to be the best indicator for the right treatment. Yet, even if a patient's genome is sequenced, few doctors have access to the tools they need to turn that information into better treatment decisions. Precision oncology could help improve cancer survival rates in China, where one-fifth of all deaths are caused by cancer. (2)  Every year in China, more than 4.3 million people are diagnosed with cancer.(3)

Watson for Genomics analyzes massive bodies of genomic, clinical and pharmacological knowledge to help uncover potential therapeutic options that target the tumor's genetic alterations. Then, Watson produces a report for physicians that identifies genetic alterations that are actionable based on literature as well as drugs and clinical trials that target those alterations. Watson for Genomics has been tested and validated at more than 20 leading cancer institutes worldwide, and is now commercially available.

Speechless. She deserves the bronze. Don't cry song song😟 you have done your best. . Yesterday, Shang Chunsong and Wang Yan were fabulous. They don't have visible errors. But the judges were strict on our execution score. Shang should have got the bronze. Her overall difficulty was 1.6 higher then Mustafina. Shang got a wobble-free routine but just receive 8.4 in execution. While for Mustafina, she keeps wobbling but her execution is even 0.1 higher than Shang.
