We got episode 3 “Into the Digital World”! And the good news is we are still Very Much at it with the Taishiro lol

Spoilers under the cut...

So let’s knock the most important thing off right away, at the end of the ep they DO go to a real digital world!

And it looks like a child’s fantasy... a beautiful natural world full of amazing creatures. I have no idea how similar it’s gonna be to the world we know, though! So far everything’s different, even things that seem the same. Keeps me guessing.

The landscape is pretty intriguing. Looks like a planet/moon on the horizon? And I’m sure that interesting island’s gotta mean something...

But back to the beginning.

So last week, I was all boggled because they introduced Omegamon and Jogress so early. It was easy to think that since they’d started this hype wave, they were gonna keep riding it out, especially with Hikari and Takeru seeming to receive magic feathers and all. Well, that’s not really how it goes down.

The battle is very quiet, with few words - none at all from Taichi or Yamato until Koushirou gets their attention. I am not 100% sure about this, but from the way Taichi looks to the side when an attack comes his way and Omegamon then takes it out, I think it might mean Taichi and Yamato have some mental work of their own to do to help Omegamon fight and that’s why they’re so quiet. But that’s just a thought. I do love the idea that the kids’ ties to their Digimon have more of an affect on their ability to battle than just their evolutions.

One thing a Jogress does is make you glow. Yeah yeah, we glowed before too. No, I mean GLOW.

Like, nonstop.

Also, I have figured out that Taichi and Yamato must have suction cups on their shoes and that’s how they don’t fall off Omegamon while he’s hurtling all over the place

Cue awesome rock version of the theme song battle music!! Omegamon kills nu!Diaboromon the same way he kills him in Our War Game, with a STAB. But that doesn’t stop the missile. Here I thought would be Koushirou’s turn to shine, but aside from continuing to keep tabs on things, he doesn’t get to join in the fight this time.

Omegamon is somehow able to detect missiles, I guess?

And lock on to the infected one, which conveniently shows an actual lock, is red, and even has the monster’s eyeball symbol. We also see a bunch of Digi code before this.

He absorbs the powers of all the Crests into his sword (!!) ...

... and stabs it. Because in Digimon, stabbing is always the answer.

People of Tokyo: Wow that’s bright! I should probably avert my eyes or put on sunglasses. But first, to Instagram!

Thanks, Kouushirou’s computer.

The missle blows up way up high and no one gets hurt. They also don’t seem to care all that much about what this is either! Seconds later everyone’s devices lose power, including Koushirou’s computer. He is very distressed, but the outage doesn’t last long.

Yamato and Taichi’s suction cups finally lose their grip and they fall away into a bright light...

Omegamon became a butterfly!!

It is now certain, Taichi didn’t pull a Kouichi xD He’s perfectly fine. That’s the RIGHT way to get in and out of the digital world at a train station. Take notes, kids.

OK before we move on I must take a second to appreciate these text messages Koushirou receives from someone named Mr.Unknown (gee I’m sure we’ll never hear from him again!)

OMG my life is

WHAT KIND OF REACTION IS THAT TO YOUR IMMINENT DEATH!?!?

“Someone stop it!” Suddenly Japanese (also from Mr.Unkown)

Twenty bucks says this guy is Gennai? Ryou? Wallace? KEN?!

no don’t bet against me please, I have no money.

Have an adorable Hikari, who didn’t get to do anything with the feather in the end. Who knows if she even really has it. She DOES seem to totally know what happened with her brother though. Takeru might know also? But Hikari definitely does. Our little oracle is back.

So Taichi is fine, Koushirou is fine, Yamato is fine. They all get back to the human world safely. Taichi and Koushirou head home, wondering if all that really happened, talking about what could happen next. More importantly, the Taishiro power returns at full throttle.

Koushirou: Do you know about this? This? This?

Taichi: Hmm... hmmm... hmmm.. thinking makes my head hurt...

(Like I rag on Taichi for not thinking but tbh he’s quite the thinker and planner... maybe more so in this season than in the original.)

Gloves returned to pocket. Goggles still at the ready.

Then Taichi reaches out his hand... Koushirou stares at it like he’s not quite sure what to do with it. And Taichi’s like, “Thank you so much, for everything, you were a huge help!”

Koushirou: “But I didn’t do anything.”

Taichi: “You helped so much by doing all that research! You’re awesome!”

Koushirou: :D “Y-Yeah!!”

He agrees that he’s awesome!! My baby!!

They shake hands! They’re such good friends now!

... Then Taichi walks backwards out of the elevator with his hand still outstretched, staring at Koushirou

WHAT THE HECK IS THIS!?!?

This show producers aren’t even TRYING to hide their bias hahaha okay that’s the Taishiro fan in me but HOW ELSE AM I SUPPOSED TO READ THIS SCENE CMON LIKE!?

So Taichi’s about to go home, and at this point I’m thinking “I guess Koushirou’s never gonna ask that question about camp...!”

Then Taichi is like, “Oh yeah, didn’t you have a question about camp?”

Fricking. TAICHI.

I am absolutely stunned that it’s him who brings up Koushirou’s original errand xD Koushirou himself has completely forgotten about it! (Too busy basking in the glow of being called awesome about twenty times in what this episode establishes is less than an hour!)

Seriously Taichi is SUCH A DAD!? His mom comes home and tells him about her day. Hikari comes over and he pats her on the head and tells her she was brave and did a good job. All he needs is a newspaper and a tie to reach peak Dad-ness.

Hikari: “Thanks big brother!”

Taichi: “...? For?”

So about Yamato... on the elevator Taichi realizes he never found out where Yamato lives...

... It’s Shimane. Grandma’s house in Shimane! Well I mean, they could make it somewhere else, but the point is it’s super inaka countryside. Yamato has a call with Takeru which makes it seem like they indeed don’t live together, as Takeru shyly asks Yamato if he’ll come visit since it’s summer break, and Yamato says he does intend to go to Tokyo and see him. Not sure yet who Yamato’s living with, if it’s still his dad or he lives with his grandparents in this version, or there’s some other reason he’s not in Tokyo...

Yamato also asks if Takeru’s okay, and Takeru replies he was inside all day so he’s fine. That’s what makes me think Takeru knows about Yamato going to the digital world. He might not, but I like the idea that he does. My guess would be he knows because he’s seen Yamato do it or something, whereas Hikari just knows because she’s psychic :P

Then guess what! WE GO TO CAMP!

Only for like, two minutes, though. That was a bummer for me. Camp is just a vehicle to introduce a couple other characters, then they go home. Well, we don’t need two of the exact same show I guess... I’ll just appreciate this as a nod to the original.

First we see Jou! He’s hancho again and trying to tell other kids how to use a knife. He immediately cuts his finger. Good ole Jou I can’t wait to have him back.

Taichi and Koushirou are walking around camp and Koushirou trips due to Jou yelling and basically throws his laptop straight into the air

Laptop: “FREEEEEDOM!”

Mr Superior Reflexes AKA Taichi quickly grabs Koushirou and prevents him from smashing face first into the dirt. GOSH THEY JUST WILL NOT STOP WITH THE TAISHIRO. I CANNOT.

Koushirou: “H-H-Human c-c-contact?!?!?! Is this SKINSHIP”

Like y’all know this isnt my fault right? I wouldn’t have to say these things if the show didn’t make it so durn easy. Bahahahaha.

Guess who catches the laptop! Soooooraaaaa!

My girl is back! She’s got butterflies!

Koushirou says he knows who she is because the girls in his class always talk about how she’s so cooooool!

This episode establishes that Sora is 1) popular 2) well-liked 3) responsible 4) quick-thinking 5) athletic 6) Taichi’s old friend 7) coooooool in like, thirty seconds.

Taichi and Koushirou continue to spend aaaaaall their time together. My one complaint here is that all they do is talk about the digital world. And while I know it’s no surprise, the one thing I always loved about old Adventure was that to a certain extent, the kids got to act like kids. Of course they had uncanny adult wisdom and ability to sit still, lol. I understand that. So far in this show, they’re not really acting like children even a little bit. It’s all superheroing. That’s how I feel at the moment though - the only one I expect to really act like a child is Takeru, and probably Mimi, I’d guess. I do hope we get to see a larger range of personality from all of them in the future. It is only episode three.

Koushirou’s icon is a pineapple <3

So there’s a new threat but it’s not as obvious as the old one. Another power outage happens but they don’t know how important it is right away. Then both Taichi and Koushirou’s digivices start to glow! Taichi runs out, and here we finally got some new personality from him, something beyond friendliness and bravery: He really, really wants to see Agumon again. He’s already feeling the depth of that bond and it’s really been weighing on him that they parted so abruptly. He has so many questions. I would say, Koushirou talked about the digital world non stop because he finds it interesting, but Taichi talked about it because he misses Agumon. (Koushirou after all hasn’t met Tentomon yet.)

Before he can run out, Taichi runs into Hikari in the living room. She’s worried, and she clearly knows what he’s up to, but all she says is “Itterasshai.” I super appreciate that the set up and lighting is the same as these scenes between the two of them in original Adventure! It’s a total throwback to that hallmark ep of Adventure, episode 21.

Unable to think about anything but seeing Agumon again, Taichi runs outside to the train station where Koushirou is (I wonder if the train station is going to become like their base point or something). He doesn’t even notice Sora, but she notices him...

... and in true Sora fashion, immediately turns around and starts chasing after Taichi without a word xD

ugh I will always hate how PINK she is in this

Sora: “Taichi’s running somewhere awful fast... he has that look on his face... he’s going to get into trouble ugh I just know it”

The digivices glow and both Taichi and Koushirou disappear into the digital world. As they go through the vortex, we see a bunch of colored lights...

So this one is clearly Taichi and Koushirou, and Sora as well. My guess is she gets swallowed up as a result of following Taichi.

However, over here we have Yamato, Jou, and Mimi, but why would they all be together? Yamato’s fine, but how are the other two getting in?

It doesn’t seem like Takeru’s joining this time, which is interesting. But I might be wrong - only episode 4 will tell.

Taichi wakes up in the real Digital World and is finally reunited with Agumon. End episode 3 <3

I’m really curious about what’s coming next! I’m still pretty shocked that a Jogress happened so early, but I’m gonna guess now that we might not see it again for a good long while. My prediction is that Yamato’s gonna be more like the lone wolves of other seasons (Ken, Ruki, Kouji, etc) who don’t want to join the main team right away, then suddenly just do. Everyone loves a rogue hero. I am super excited for the whole team to be together though so we can see all those personality dynamics grow! I really want them to not go home for a while and have to live by their wits, but I don’t think that’s the way this show wants to go, it wants the drama of going back and forth between lives... OTOH, we now know for sure that it IS summer break, so I suppose they don’t really have a NEED to go home. Maybe we’ll get a bit of both - they usually go home after, but sometimes end up on a longer stay?

I think what I need most from this show is the rest of the team before it will really feel like Digimon Adventure to me. So looking forward to episode 4!

eta: I totally forgot about the pics I took of the trailer for next week!

Look how awesome this is! This is exactly what I am hoping sticks around for a good long time! We need the partners to bond and we need to live up to the name of “Adventure”!

Since the trailer only shows Taichi and Sora, I wonder if that means everyone’s split up. Koushirou’s light seemed a bit distant from the other two in that screencap up there, so maybe he lands somewhere else and they all have to find each other. Makes sense, really. I’d expected that for the other three but figured Koushirou would be with Taichi... but it’ll be awesome if he has to try to get by on his own in the beginning. Also, so excited for Birdramon!

Bonus: I found a vid on youtube that claimed to have English subs and I clicked out of curiosity... this is what it wrote when Taichi says “Koushirou”:

A Digital Pal (BMC Digimon AU FanFic)

A one-shot of @pika-ace‘s Digimon AU.

"It's from japan, it's a grey oblong device. Quantum Advanced Technology A.I....The nano circuit in the device will scan through my brain and then it packs up data and makes a mon for me...." Jeremy said to himself. That phrase echos in his mind ever since the day he learned about Digimon, he even remembers the very day it happened.

He was in the bathroom, trying to wash off the "Boyf" sign from his backpack, but then Rich came in catching him in the act. He was afraid that he would get a beating of a lifetime, but then all of the sudden, Rich started acting weird. He was talking to someone that he couldn't see, which creeped him out, but Rich stopped him before he had a chance to run. That's where he told Jeremy all about Digimon, even showing off his own, a dinosaur like creature with some feathers on the head and tail called Roostdramon. Ironic for his Digital Monster to have rooster features when literally he dyed the front of his hair red to look like a rooster.

Not only did Rich told him everything about Digimon, but he also offered him to get one of his own. He just has to pay a guy at Payless 600 dollars to do so, luckily he's not gonna be alone doing this. He told his best friend, Michael, about the whole deal and he offered himself to tag along, just in case if things go wrong. Now he has to meet Michael first before he could do anything, that's why he's all alone in the mall, he's looking for his buddy.

But it seems Micheal found him as from a distance, Jeremy sees Micheal running at full speed towards him, "Jeremy!!!" He shouted at the top of his lungs.

Jeremy stopped and was surprised on how fast he was going, suddenly he got a big friendly hug from Michael after reaching his top speed, "H-Hey Micheal! W-What's the rush?"

Micheal lets him go and looks at him with a bright smile on his face, "Dude, while i was waiting for you, i met this guy at Spencer's Gifts and he was offering me some Crystal Pepsi!" he said with a grin

"Woah, really?"

"Yeah! Cause i told him i was waiting for you to make that weird deal at Payless and he's basically doing the same thing with me! But with 90's soft drinks instead!" said Michael

Jeremy awkwardly laughs, "Wow, you really like to go the distance to get the sweet taste of canceled 90's drinks, don't you?"

"Yep!"

Michael calmed himself down for a bit as the two know what they're gonna do now, "So....are we gonna do this thing?" said Michael

"Yep. I even got the money to get it." he said, pulling out the 400 dollars that he had to round up from around the house.

"Then let's go! Two players going on a special side quest!" said Michael

Jeremy rolls his eyes, "Michael, this isn't an RPG you know." he said, as they walked on forward.

The two bros walk towards Payless, rightfully ignoring all of the shoes there and head straight towards the cashier. He looked somewhat dusty, his hair looked a bit unclean but he looked focused. Jeremy and Michael walked up to the guy, who quickly looked at the two straight in the eye.

"What do you want?" he said, in a serious tone.

Jeremy sweated a little, feeling a bit nervous and unsure of saying this in public, considering how you can't even look it up so you have to take word of mouth. He said, as privately as he possibly could, "I-I-I'm here f-f-for the......Digi.....vice....?

The man stared at Jeremy and Michael for a bit, and then he nodded, opened the small door on the cashier side and signaled them to come in. They followed and he leads them to a room in the back, where there's literally no one in there, except for the storage of shoes.

He looks at them and said, "Wait here."

Jeremy and Michael stay put as the man got into the closet and went in there to get it, while they were waiting, Michael covered his head with his hoodie and clinged on to Jeremy for protection. As for Jeremy, he felt very nervous, he doesn't know what's gonna happen to his life once he takes the deal. Would he be more of a weirdo now that he talks to a digital monster that lives in an advanced Tomogatchi? What does a Digimon exactly do to you once you get one? So many questions flow through his head but it all stopped once the guy came back. He walked up to Jeremy and showed him a box.

"Ladies running shoes?"

The guy opens up the box and it reveals the device, sitting comfrontably inside. But Jeremy noticed something about the device.....

"It's grey.....it doesn't-"

The man interupted him, "Have colorful markings like Rich? Well, his is activated. This one, is not."

Jeremy was surprised by this, "Wait, how did you know that i was gonna say that?"

The man shurgged, "Lucky guess."

Michael leaned in and saw the device, "Woah dude, this thing is real!" he whispered.

The man stared at Jeremy and said in a serious voice, "Do you have the money?"

"O-Oh! Yes i do!"

He digged into his pocket and yanked out the 400 dollars, he gives it to the guy, then he puts it in his pocket. The man grabs the device and lifts it out of the box,

he shows it in front of the two while throwing the box away.

"Just so we're clear, this is untested technology. These have never passed over to the west seas, so that's exactly why you're paying this with cash." He points to a button on the bottom, "Once you turn this on, the nano circuit will implant itself in your skin so keep in mind that it's basically going through your body just to make a Digimon."

He hands over the device to Jeremy and places it in his hand, "I hold no responceabiity to what you or it might do." he stares at the two boys with a intimidating glare, "All sales are final."

He signals them to leave and the two boys leave not only the room, but the Payless as well. They walk far away from the place as Jeremy looks at his new "digivice", with all of those questions lingering in his head again.

Micheal, now with his hoodie down, looks at Jeremy and the device and said, "Sooooo.....you just....press that button and it goes through your body to scan your brain?" he said, while pointing towards the activation button.

"I guess, but i still have no idea what it's gonna do to me at all." he sighs, "It's all up in the air for me, honestly."

Jeremy puts the device in his pocket and looks at Michael, "Look, i'm gonna activate this thing once i get home. And then i'll see what it does."

"Okay, but you let me know all about it okay?" Jeremy nods, "Great! Now, if you excuse me, i got some Crystal Pepsi to own!"

And just like that, Michael whiped out of Jeremy's sight, chasing his 90's soft drink exchange. Jeremy sighed and was ready to go home, but then he hears a familiar voice from a distance, it was......Christine~

Maybe this is the right time to confess to her, even if he now owns a weird advanced device. He speed walks towards Christine but then he sees that Jake is in the distance, but even so, he was willing to confess.

"Shouldn't we wait for the rest of the cast?" said Christine

"Yeeeeaaaahhh.....we're not meeting the rest of the cast." Jake nervously sweated a little, "I figured we could get to know each other, alone."

He smiles brightly, "That's why i'm taking to one of my favorite spots in the universe, Sbarro-"

Suddenly, Jeremy makes an enterance in the conversation.

"C-Christine!" he said, catching up with Christine

Christine notices Jeremy, "Oh! Jeremy, i didn't see you there."

Jake rolls his eyes, "Yeah, you're kinda hard to notice." he turns his attention towards Christine, "And the best part, they let you pick whatever you want-"

Seeing how Jake is taking the girl of his dreams acts quickly, "Wait, Christine!" they turn their attention towards him, "There's....something i need to tell you..."

Jake annoyingly sighs, "Now?"

Jeremy gets a little nervous doing this, so much so that he slides his hands into his pockets, "Well.....i.....i...."

But he was too nervous to notice that his thumb accidentally presses the on button on the Digivice, plus his hand was in the right position (that is behind the device) for the thing to do the procedure.

All of the sudden, Jeremy felt a sudden jolt on his hand, "OW!" he flips his hands out of his pockets, kinda surprising Christine and Jake. He looks at his hands and notices the Digivice in his hand, "Oh no...."

Suddenly, he hears a robotic voice speaking to him, "TARGET MALE: ACCESSABLE"

His arm starts to flinch and Jeremy feels a truck-load of pain rushing through it, as if his arm was being electrocuted, "OW!! WHAT THE HELL?!"

"CALIBRATION IN PROCESS, PLEASE EXCUSE SOME MILD DISCOMFORT."

"MILD?!" he shouted on the top of his lungs.

Anyone who was seeing the act was standing there, some where pulling out their phones and recording the scene. While Christine and Jake, who are in the middle of the whole thing, watch in horror with no idea what to do.

"Jeremy?! What's going on?!" she said, panicking.

"Dude, the freak's freaking out!!"

Jeremy struggles as his arm goes through a lot of pain, even holding it down with his other arm just to stop it, "W-What's going on?! Is this normal?!" he thought to himself.

The robotic voice spoke, "CALIBRATION COMPLETE, SCANNING PROCEDURE INITIATED."

All of the sudden, the pain stopped, though he was relieved, he even gave out a little sigh, he realizes that the device was scanning his brain. Meaning that once it's done doing that, the agonizing pain starts again, which is something he doesn't want to go through again, not in front of Christine.

In a panic, he simply said, "I-I-I'll tell you tomarrow at Rehearsal!" He quickly runs away before Christine could say anything.

"Uh....okay, bye....?"

Jake scoffs, "Come on, let's just settle down and have some lunch, kay?"

Back with Jeremy, he runs off to a bench nearby. He tries to catch his breath as he settles down, "That was a close one.....i could've-"

And son of a gun, the pain came back, this time it's much more powerful, feeling like a flow of energy is going down from his head through his arm. His whole body flinches as the energy flows through his arm, he even screams in pain while trying to resist going full on seizure. Suddenly, the device started to glow brightly, as circuit board details start to form on it, giving a light blue hue. Then the familiar robotic voice speaks in his head again.....

"DATA ANALYSIS: SECURE, EVOLUTION STRUCTURE: COMPLETE. FORM STRUCTURE: INITIATED."

Suddenly, a bright stream of light flies out of the device, Jeremy had to cover his eyes because of the bright glow. He didn't see what was going on as he didn't want to burn his eyes off and go blind, but he did feel a little sting on his hand. (At least he can let the thing go now after the thing was literally STUCK on his hand for a while.) After a couple of seconds, the glow disappeared and Jeremy heard a strange voice...

"Jeremy Heere."

He opens his eyes and he almost freaked out over the sight, it was a small dragon-like creature, almost the size of a child, with long paws with claws that reach the base of his feet, a dark blue body with some light blue marks on the arms, legs, and chest, pointy ears/horns on the top of the head with two spikes on the back, and a glass-like forehead that's light blue and his eyes looked like it was a part of it.

The mon stands boldly, "Welcome to your Digital Intel Gigabite Info Monster Of Nanotech, your Digimon."

Jeremy slowly gets up and stares at the small monster in front of him, "Wow....you look...."

"Amazing? Of course. Digimon are supposed to exceed the imagination of an average human." the Digimon said.

Jeremy looks at his new Digimon pal and observes him, "I.....have so many questions.....like, do you have a name? What do you do? And also, why do you sound like Keanu Reeves?"

The Digimon stares at his human partner and smerks, "I can see you're a bit confused about me, let me explain myself." he said, confidently, "My name is Circuitmon, your Digimon partner. My body is structured from your likes and desires to take the form of a likable appearance, my voice comes from the one person you look up to."

He rolls his eyes, "Though honestly, it was either Keanu Reeves or a sexy anime female voice."

Jeremy blushes a little upon hearing the other option, "I.....think Keanu is good."

The Digimon nods and continues on, "And to answer your big question about what i do, it's simple." Circuitmon crosses his arms behind his back, "I help you improve your life style and you help me improve myself."

"Wait....what? What does that mean?" said Jeremy

Circuitmon sighs, "You see, as a Digimon partner, it's our job to create a bond between each other to become stronger, just see our relationship as EXP in an RPG. The more i know you and you know me, the more EXP i get, and thus gain more levels." He releases his arms and looks at Jeremy, "So in order for me to be stronger, i must help you in any sort of situation you desire."

Circuitmon jumps onto Jeremy's back and wrapping himself around his shoulders and neck, the sudden leap caused Jeremy to flinch a little. Circuitmon looks at Jeremy and said, "So Jeremy, what do you want to do first?"

Jeremy kinda panicked as he's being kinda pressured to bond with this weird dragon thing, so he thinks of the closest thing, "Uh.....maybe go clothes shopping? To get a new shirt."

He simply nods, "Very well."

Jeremy goes to the nearest clothes store he could find, knowing that he got himself into this mess and he knows there's no turning back. He goes through a lot of aisles, passing by alot of clothes and having no idea which one he's gonna pick. Circuitmon looks as well and one shirt catches his eye, he pats Jeremy's shoulder to get his attention, "Get that one."

He looks towards the direction he's pointing at and takes out the shirt, "It has a picture of Enimem." he said.

"If you're so dispute, what do you need me for?" he said, with an annoyed tone.

He scoffed, "Do you even know who Enimem is?"

Circuitmon scoffed back, "Irrelevant. My quantum structure has unlimited data on any sort of subject possible, so don't be thinking i'm clueless to the human world."

Jeremy is surprised by the fact, "Woah really?" Circuitmon nods, "Well....how good are you with math homework?"

Circuitmon stares at Jeremy, "I'm a supercomputer Jeremy, i'm made of math."

Jeremy holds on to the Enimem shirt and said, "Ok, but don't try to tell me what to do. And to prove it, i'm gonna pick out a shirt by myself!" he said, proudly.

Suddenly, Brooke picks up Circuitmon from Jeremy's shoulders and smiles, "It looks sooo cute! I know it's weird for me to gush about stuff animals but this one is adorable!"

She hugs Circuitmon tight, not knowing that Circuitmon is a living being. Jeremy kinda laughs at the scene, seeing his new Digimon partner being hugged like a teddy bear. But suddenly, he felt a tight squeeze on his chest, as if there was some kind of pressure on it. He didn't knew why it was happening, why does he suddenly feel pain on his chest? This is something he has to ask Circuitmon once he's freed from Brooke clutches.

Brooke eventually lets Circuitmon go and gives him back to Jeremy, who was somewhat reliefed that the pain on his chest is gone. Brooke smiles as they walk away from Jeremy, "See ya later Jerry."

He shoots back, "It's Jeremy!"

Once the two girls were out of hearing distance, he puts down Circuitmon and looks at him directly at his face, "Why did i feel pain on my chest?!"

"It's called Matrix Synchronization." he quickly answers.

"Matrix.....what?"

"You see Jeremy, there is a microchip installed in your body, that microchip is connected to a part of my data that involves physical touch." He said, "So to summarize, if i get hurt in any way, you feel the pain as well."

Circuitmon nods.

So when they hang out with the rest of their friends, Yuugo and Arata getting more chocolate, and Ami tells Arata not to worry about a White Day present. ~~Story Begins~~ “Dude,” a high school boy carrying one bag of cheap store bought chocolate boxes, his blonde hair was cut short but highlighted the crystal blue eyes, he was wearing a white collared shirt buttoned up and tucked into black pants, “how do you always score so much chocolate?” Arata sighed, his black hair resting against the back of his neck and shoulders, his black eyes were closed in exhaustion, he was wearing the same uniform as his friend next to him, but he was carrying four bags of chocolates ranging from different prices and different stores. “I have no idea, but I wish they would just stop. I can’t afford to give everyone an White Day gift that equals to the amount of money they spent on me. I don’t even think I’ll be able to buy the one girl who I like a special gift. She might just get the same mass produced cheap return gift as everyone else” Unbeknownst to the two men, a girl with flaming red hair, her digivice goggles tied around a small part of her hair, her bright blue eyes were looking down at the ground, her arms were behind her back as she leaned against the wall, a black sleeved and yellow shirt with two circles, one inside the other with ‘AWA Studio’ under them, her grey skirt was short stopping under her thighs, her yellow socks led down to grey shoes. Hey grey backpack was resting by her feet where a couple of medium size white boxes were resting on the inside. She looked up as the two men walked past her and she tilted her head to the side, a sign that she was thinking.

Arata Sanada was now wearing his usual outfit, a white overcoat with blue stitching, a lighter blue bodysuit underneath it and black shoes. He would be caught dead if any of his online friends saw him in his school uniform and was sitting at one of the picnic table at Ueno Park with three other friends. One was a loud-mouth chicken with dyed red hair in pigtails, her blue eyes were literally the window to her quick changing emotions, she was wearing a light pink jacket that completed the rainbow bracelets on her wrists, a pale blue dress had thin straps which didn’t cover her black bra straps, the dress was tied at the sides near the bottom showing the black strings to her panties, grey tights covered her legs which led to pink heels. “Come now my sweet Yuuko, admit it! You just can’t wait to dig into your brother’s chocolate!”

Yuuko Kamishiro was more quiet and reserved than her other female companion along with more more modestly dress. Her long black hair resting her back, white fur collar white dress covered her body and the black long-sleeved shirt she wore underneath, black tights covered her legs til they met with white shoes. Her digivice goggles were wrapped around left arm making it easy access, her black eyes were wide upon her friend’s accusation. “I-I-I do not. I just want to make sure that my brother doesn’t eat it all in one day! It’s been seven years since he last experienced Valentine’s Day!” The brother in question was Yuuko’s very own twin, Yuugo Kamishiro. His black hair cut perfectly around his neck and face, bringing out his grey eyes, a detail his sister took care of. His white jacket has faux fur on the hood and on the opening for his hands, black pants led down to black shoes. He laughed nervously, still getting used to the elements of the reality world instead of the digital world, “I am willing to share with my sister if she asks.” Arata smirked at his three friends, “If you like Yuuko, I can give you two of my four bags.” “What?” Nokia asked. “You got four bags!” “Yeah, all from female classmates,” Arata shrugged. “It happens every year and it doubled when I tried using the ‘I have a girlfriend’ approach.” “You must be popular,” a new voice said from behind the boys causing them to tilt their heads, Nokia had an excited look on her face while Yuuko had a relieved look on her face. One can only take Nokia alone for so long before it gets exhausting. “Sorry, I’m late. I had a last minute case Kyoko wanted me to solve. It took longer than what we both thought it would.” She walked around to the side where her two girlfriends were sitting and sat her grey backpack down. “You are always late, so it’s not like it’s a big deal,” Nokia responded. “Ami!” Yuuko said upon seeing the cracked digivice goggles than the hand that usually has a black glove with yellow circles for the tips of her fingers and the palm were replaced by white bandages wrapped tightly around her hand. “What happened?!” Ami sat down on the seat and waved the question off with the injured hand, “It’s nothing!” “What do you mean by, it’s nothing?” Arata asked narrowing his eyes at her. “Your digivice goggles are cracked and your hand is bandaged, I really don’t think it’s just nothing,” Yuugo added. “Start explaining yourself,” Nokia said. Ami shook her head, “I just burnt my hand while I was cooking supper and let’s just say, things were a bit chaotic at school and at the office today.” “How did that result in your goggles getting cracked?” Nokia asked. “In an attempt to distract me from stopping jealous girls getting at Ryota and Sakura. I guess I never knew how popular Ryota was before,” Ami responded. “So they stole my digivice goggles and threw it amongst themselves which resulted in one of them dropping when a teacher yelled at them for playing in the hallway.” ��You can’t afford to get them fix or get yourself a new pair,” Yuuko spoke glaring at the crack like it dishonored her family. “Hey, hey,” Ami said with a laughter. “I’ll manage. I just can’t reply back or create a digi-line message but I can still take calls. It will survive until I have enough to get it fixed.”

Arata and Yuugo looked at each other and they both sighed at their friend, she always laughed off any worries they had about her, usually reassuring them but that was before they remembered their childhood memories, where she would keep her pain a secret, even when they were reintroduced, she still hid her pain and worries from them. They looked back to see Yuuko rolling her eyes as Ami and Nokia bickered over a word in which Nokia misspoke. Only Ami would be able to not be exhausted after spending so much time with Nokia and her antics. “I at least remembered it was Valentine’s Day,” Nokia argued. “Oh! Hey! Thanks for reminding me!” Ami said getting into her backpack and pulled out the two white boxes and handed them to Yuugo and Arata. Arata smiled and accepted the box clueless to the wide eyed expression of Yuugo and Nokia while Yuuko also had the same look but was almost drooling. “Happy Valentine’s Day!” “Thank you,” Yuugo said being polite to Ami. “Yes, thank you so much,” Arata said. “I’ll have to try your chocolate later on, I tried Nokia’s homemade chocolate and I’m pretty much sure she tried to kill us. They were so bitter to where I still have the aftertaste in my mouth,” “They weren’t that bad,” Nokia said crossing her arms. Ami smiled, “That’s okay. I know it’s a bit out of tradition but neither of you have to give me a White’s Day Present.” Everyone just stared at her like she grew two heads, “What? Are you insane?” Nokia yelled. “Haha, no I’m being serious,” Ami said with a smile. “I really don’t need anything for White Day.” “You’re...joking,” Yuugo said looking down at the box of chocolates before looking back at Ami. Surprisingly, she got the message and shook her head. “You’re being serious.” “Yes, very serious,” Ami responded. “Why?” Arata asked his emotions were in turmoil but he kept them in check. “I won’t be around on White Day,” Ami responded. “My school trip starts two days prior before it. So since I won’t be here to celebrate it, there’s no need to get me anything.” “I swear,” Yuuko said. “You have the strangest string of logic.” Ami just laughed it off happily, “Why thank you!” “That wasn’t a compliment,” Yuuko deadpanned.

Arata just smirked as Nokia said something causing the other two girls to talk to her about how her expectations of White Day won’t happen. The next day, Arata was hanging out within his apartment with some of his school friends when the one who he was talking to after work yesterday noticed the plain white box, “Hey, Arata, where did you get that box?” “That white box?” Arata asked as he chose his card and laid it down face first since they were playing Cards Against Humans. “One of my friends gave it to yesterday for Valentine’s Day. She said something weird too about how she doesn’t want a White Day gift. Something about her school trip happening before and how it’s going to last a week.” “Dude, do you seriously not know what company sells chocolate in a plain white box? It’s like 2,800 yen!” his friend responded. “You need to get her something, no matter what she says!” Arata stared at his friend, “I am not that special to ever receive that expensive chocolate plus another friend got the same white box. I think you are exaggerating, she wouldn’t be able to afford two of them.” “I don’t know dude,” another one of his friends spoke, “I would ask her about them if you want too. Besides, there's not a single girl who wouldn’t want to get something back on White Day!” “Ami is strange,” Arata said feeling the doubt come creeping into his mind which he shook away, “She was pretty adamant about it too.” “It’s your choice,” another friend said placing his card down, “I won’ be expecting her to return any feelings you have for her out the window. Now, if you just think of her as a friend than that friendship could get destroyed.” Arata blanched mentally, if what his friends are saying is true, then remembered something, “No, I don’t think she did get chocolates that are that expensive, mainly because another one of our friends would have commented on the price of it. She just loves expensive things.” “If you say so,” his one friend spoke turning around. “Now, let’s see what fate awaits me.” Arata was walking home from school, looking down, rumours were going around at school that he was going to ignore a girl who gave him expensive chocolate, the part about her not wanting any was omitted from the tale. “You look different in your school uniform,” a voice said in front of him causing him to look up at Ami who had a smile on her face. Arata’s eyes went wide at Ami before they narrowed into a glare, “Don’t tell anyone.” “I won’t, but I suggest you follow me,” Ami responded motioning for him to follow her into an alleyway as he noticed the sound of heels clicking against the sidewalk. They were in the darkest part of the alleyway, unnoticeable to the untrained eye. “Ami!” Nokia yelled as she appeared at the entranceway followed by Yuuko and another girl. “Where are you? You have some explaining to do!” “I’m still amazed that Ami was able to lie to us with a straight face,” Yuuko said. “Wait until Arata and my brother find out.” Ami grumbled something under her breath that sounded like chinese, Arata just stared at her. He had pressed both of his hands against the wall by her head and he had lowered his head, “I want an explanation but for now, be quiet.” Ami gulped and nodded her head as Arata looked towards the entranceway where the three girls were walking back talking amongst themselves about how Ami had escaped them and all sorts of questions that they needed to ask Ami. When Nokia noticed the alleyway, “She could have gone in here. I’m going to go check.” The two teenagers hiding within the shadows tensed up as Nokia started to go into the alleyway when Sakura stopped her, “No, don’t go in there Nokia. It’s known as kissing alley, I highly doubt Ami would willingly enter there when couples are there making out. Especially since what’s his name -” “Arata,” Yuuko said. “Yeah, Arata isn’t around and if he was, Ami wouldn’t have the courage to go down this alley with him in the first place!” Sakura continued. Arata noticed Ami ducking her head to look underneath his arm at the girls. “I don’t know, she’s done stupid crazy stuff before,” Yuuko responded. “She might have if her friends were in danger,” Sakura responded. “However, she’s a chicken when it comes to confessing her feelings or anywhere near emotions. It’s been awhile since she last had a crush so she wouldn’t even dare come near down this alleyway. Now, from she’s told me of Arata, he would lead her down this alleyway, but not Ami.” Nokia turned around and started walking away, “I still can’t believe Ami has a crush on that jerk Arata.” Sakura was the last one to leave and for some reason she brushed her skirt off five times before leaving. “Traitor,” Ami hissed out. She went to move underneath Arata’s arm but he stopped her causing her to look at him, “What?” Arata smirked, “You need to give them more time to leave otherwise they would notice we were in this alleyway.” Ami sighed and leaned back against the wall, “You’re right. However, I am so going to ignore Sakura for two weeks now. She knew we was in here and-” Arata kissed her surprising her with not only the fact that he was kissing her but of how hard the kiss was, her blue eyes widening and they stayed like that when he pulled away with a smile, “That should give them enough time. You still need to explain yourself and I would like to get out of my school uniform.” He grabbed her head and led her quickly to his apartment, once inside and locked, he looked at Ami with a smirk. “Still speechless?” “You kissed me! Why did you kiss me? You wanted to get the girl who you have feelings for something special which is why I didn’t want a White Day present so I needed a reason as to why I didn’t want a White Day present without pointing it at you!” Ami said causing Arata to laugh. “It’s not funny!” “You’re right. It’s hilarious,” Arata laughed. “Ami, I have feelings for you. Otherwise I wouldn’t have kissed you but to answer your question as to why I kissed you, I have two reasons. One is because your voice was raising almost giving away our location, and two because I wanted too.” Ami crossed her arms clearly not amused. She walked towards him and started unbuttoning his school jacket during his laughter fit, “Yeah, yeah, laugh all you want. I still don’t want a White Day present.” Arata just smirked in between his chuckled as he tilted her chin up, “Oh, but I’ll make sure to get you something extra special for White Day.” He kissed her again just not as hard in which she responded by kissing back. He pulled back, “Wait, I only told my best friend at school about me wanting to get something special for the girl who I had feelings for, how did you know?” “That’s a secret I’ll explain another time,” Ami responded smiling. “Now, go change so you can escort me back to the Agency!” “Yes ma’am,” Arata responded shaking his head. ~~The End~~
