I uh…
I’m not sure if this thingy is on…
But I need to talk…and…I can’t talk about this with anyone else…
…for the past few months, the fighting’s been bad…real bad…
I’ve uh…seen a lot of stuff I probably shouldn’t.
It’s been hard to…keep my head straight…
.
.
.
The others, they look to me to know what to do…to know where to go…
For a long while we had Poppy to tell us…”Go here, Go there, Do this.” And…it all made sense too…Poppy was nice…
I…can’t find Poppy anywhere…
I don’t know what happened, or where she went…
But…it’s scary here without her…
Maybe she ran?…*sigh*…just like I have…
.
.
.
I’m here, outside the Prison… in front of… *sigh* I’d…almost forgotten it was all here…and seeing this again…it’s…Given me reason to think…I could make for the exit, it’s all I’d wanted…for the longest time…but…there are others inside…others that aren’t like me…
They’re hungry and scared like I am, but they’re not…me…
They can’t go where I can…but…they mean a lot to me…a lot more than I thought they did…
And having seen what I have…knowing how they see me…how much they need me…
*sigh*
I’m…going back…
I wanted to make this…Incase I ever doubt or forget that…just play this, and remember.
Yeah…YEAH…that’s all.
Cya.
- End Tape -
- some time later, after maneuvering back through the prison -
*the toys begin to crowd him, hugging onto his doughy form as he knelt down to return the gesture.*
“DOEY!…Doey you’re back!!…” they cried.
“you were gone for so long, we were scared something had happened to you!…that you weren’t coming back, like Poppy!…”
*Doey let out a soft chuckle, patting the toys on each their heads as he tried to comfort them.*
“Something happen to me? Not a chance!…heh…I was just…doing one final search for Poppy…” he lied
“…wherever she is…I hope she’s alright…but…I’ll look after things from now on…I’ll do my best at least…”
Oh? What’s this?
A new friend? Why, How’d you get in here?
Y’know what, never mind that…our safe haven, is your safe haven…feel free to relax and ask questions, or help out around here if you can…hopefully we can trust you!

I like how whenever I watch AstralSpiff or Backseat play a new Poppy Chapter it’s pretty clear what game that they devs had been playing before hand lmao,, Chapter 4 being very clearly referencing to the Resident Evil 4 underground factory insect fights with how it was framed
#disco speaks!#honestly the most interesting chapter is still chapter 3 to me because there’s a consistent antagonist and it expounds on that story with#every step as well as actually showing the playcare and hour of joy#i don’t like the franchise because of what happened with the devs and the merch and NFTs and just general stuff with MOB#but like yeah. the more it digs down it just gets more vague and expansive to the point where it’s like where do the characters draw theline#like Doey hates the doctor but works with him but also hates Poppy more for also being abused but doesn’t hate Kissy or Mommy??#the prototype is probably not going to the live up to the hype because it’s been dragged out for too long#why the fuck is the player here? four chapters and over like I’ll give them like 15 hrs of playtime#(if even that) and there’s like been several antagonists with like catnap and the doctor being the most interesting and tied into the#big bad evil. also like I feel bad for the kids obviously but then the hour of joy where it’s like poppy are sad that ‘innocent’ people were#killed but also like is LIKE WHO DO WE EVEN CARE ABOUT??#the player who is just a witness to the thing and barely has a stake in this#why is kissy nice like sometimes having the audience questioning the story and lore to be interested#but it’s like security breach a moment of thought and it’s just like this game is built on really nothing but wanting to make a game#and I love security breach but that’s not how you write a story#there’s good parts of poppy playtime and security breach but they don’t make up for the lack of planning for either#like at least security breach came all at once and there’s been other games to set the precedent and premise#but to quote the stupid meme poppy playtime insists upon itself#and by the way im not talking shit about the fandom or anything like that cause like#I’d be a hypocrite and im still following the story and will watch the next chapter when it comes out. it still deserves critism#and there’s also suspension of disbelief to go with it and I do enjoy it sometimes#and there’s also respect for the artists and story writers and the coders who care about their work and craft#the sound designers and the voice actors and everyone in between#ughhh I don’t know

Hi! Would you be able to do a Catnap/Theo Grambell x reader where they're uh I wouldn't say friends but more than acquaintances. They both shared a disdain for the factory they call home. Reader is both dreaded and intimidated by the bigger bodies so when Theo becomes Catnap they both feel lonelier than ever now that they never can cross paths. You may add anything you'd like😊thank you!!
4TH POPPY PLAYTIME POST IN A ROWWWW, sorry I’m totally not like obsessed with it or anything..nope, nah, Nuh uh, nada.
Catnap(Theodore) with a acquaintance reader who’s scared af as him :P
You and Theo never talked that much in the orphanage.
Yes, while you both knew each other by name and face you both never had many talking interactions. And if you did, they were short and or silently playing with toys beside each other.
It was like that until one day you realized that you hadn’t seen Theo at all that day. But when you asked one of the scientists they told you that Theo had gotten into an accident, that he had grabbed a grabpack and accidentally electrocuted himself with it.
This startled you and you were worried for your poor classmate(since you both are probably the same age and are in the same class as well.)
But really you wouldn’t actually see the real “Theodore” ever again. And you had to accept that.
So when the “Hour of Joy” came about, you were scared but you knew you had to hide, so you did.
The Prototype didn’t notice you and brought all the other orphans down to the lab, leaving you by yourself.
After that you just wandered around the playcare before coming across a file.
A file named “Experiment 1188.”
It told you everything.
You were horrified, how could such a young boy be turned into such a beast?
Since you knew Theo- Catnap. Stayed in Home Sweet Home, you decided that you’d sleep somewhere else. Just to make sure that your chances of running into Catnap were extra low.
Little did you know, Theodore actually had no intention of killing you.
He knew you weren’t with the other orphans in the labs, the Prototype told him. So that meant you were either dead or roaming around a the Player.
He knew it was the latter because even if he isn’t near you, he watches you from afar once you’re in his sight. You know he doesn’t always stay in Home Sweet Home right?
Actually the reasons he won’t kill you are quite simple:
1: He knows you. And he thinks you’re a nice person.
2: He knows you HATE the factory because every time you drew a picture you’d never draw the real place in the background, you’d only draw fake houses because “a fake place is better than here.” So he doesn’t even want to think about how much you have it now.
3: The Prototype knows you’re around but he never told Catnap to hurt you in anyway, so he decided that he’ll just keep going with keeping you okay until the Prototype says otherwise.
The Prototype is fine with you being around because he himself knows that you have a hatred towards the factory.
Anyway, there were a few times when you were literally starving, but once you continued on suddenly a pack of fruit snacks appeared, I wonder where that came frommm..
Catnap watched you from afar even if you aren’t in Home Sweet Home. So when he senses that you’re in distress or in danger he’ll silently protect you or quietly give you supplies when you aren’t looking.
Overall even if you both don’t talk much you do realize that the original Theodore is in Catnap somewhere, and Catnap realizes that he actually misses playing with you, even if it isn’t communicating playing.

So, it’s been in my head for quite a while… but… I feel even worse for Catnap after the whole “revelation” from ch 4 of 1006 being Ollie, cause it just makes CN’s situation even sadder.
Like we have "Ollie" warning us about how much of a "monster" Catnap is and how dangerous it is to be in Playcare cause of it... But I wonder now if he actually was just brainwashing us into thinking that Catnap was a devil just so we would be on edge all the time? Dont get me wrong, I am not saying that CN wasnt dangerous, but we barely see him during all the chapter, just once inside the house that, we dont know if it was just an hallucination like the Huggy from the TV, then we see him when he pushes us destroying the mask but didnt harm us past that, just letting us there, then we see him on his shrine, and, after the mini critters and Dogday encounter, briefly when he warn us to leave (IF it was him and not the Prototype trying to lure us). Finally we see him a last time in the confrontation at the end. We dont know for sure if he is even stalking us. Just that he is aware where we are (and that could more possibly have to do with the Prototype than Catnap himself)
And I know some people will try to add Dogday's dialogue in the mix... But considering the recent info, how much if what he said actually happened? Or what if he ended up there because they found out he wasnt actually loyal to 1006? And how do we even know if Catnap is related to any of the deaths of the SC? But going back on track... Now knowing that the Prototype has been the one luring us, and tricking us... How much did he plan ahead? And, if his dialogue says something... Then does it mean that he never even cared for Catnap, his most loyal servant, even a little? At the end is all about him and Poppy isnt it? Like, have you stop thinking, how messed up that Theo, the kid that almost died for his "friend/god", Catnap, the one that was indoctrinated/gr00med into following blinded the Prototype (just like you claim Poppy was by "Ollie"), Catnap that was hinted to yave been a loner with a soft spot for other toys, tortured by the assholes workers like many other toys, was just "another" piece that could be discarded? Damn, that is really sad.
And, just a slight note: the why I address Catnap instead of, lets say, Mommy Long Legs, is cause she didnt seem to be attached to the Prototype, it mostly was her wanting to be free and, following the Prototype to not "be a part of him" so those are different situations. And no, this isn’t also to throw shade to the doggo or trying to excuse CN’s actions, it’s just me overthinking at an inhumane late hour xD thnks for read.
Btw! The one in the draw is player, wanted to make em not the average doll but neither that much ott personalized so fair warning xD

Poppy playtime figureheads headcanons because im slowly going insane over this game
Leith Pierre
loves yapping and hearing the sound of his own voice. this man thrives in meetings, always dominates the conversation
high energy worker. often you'd be unable to tell if he's exhausted or not
dyes his hair to hide it's already graying lmao
he gives me attention whore vibes. center of the room anytime anywhere he is
has a habit of screaming in his car at the parking lot when work stuff is getting to him. it's a sight to behold (i thought this was funny ok??)
scares easily. super jumpy. hates being caught offguard. he propably let out a really embarassing scream once when someone pranked him and the words of it started making rounds around the factory and he enforced the ban to save his face
gives off this unsettling friendly vibe that you know just has to be fake
Harley Sawyer
propably definitely (un?)diagnosed aspd
emotionally unreadable nightmare. you don't know when his usual persona will drop and he'll snap and cuss you out of the room
perfectionist. doesn't trust people to things properly. if he wants it done right, he must do it himself (atleast he thinks so). if something isn't up to his standart, he'll redo it over and over. hates incompetence
never ever asks for help
takes naps in his office. prone to exhaustion due to overworking. caffeine and sheer willpower keeps him going. if his hands are shaking he just grips the pen harder
doesn't speak much at meetings unless it involves the Bigger Bodies initiative
if he had a wife, they divorced shortly after playtime put him in charge of the experiments. he got too immersed into work and ignored his personal life
keeps everyone at arm's lenght
Stella Greyber
youngest of all the four execs
she loves taking care of children. used to do a lot of babysitting when she was young, but she has no children herself
perfected the act of not thinking about whats actually going on at playtime. sometimes it randomly hits her like a train tho, and then she regrets joining playtime. she learned to quickly shut those thoughts down
tries to upkeep a false bubble of normalcy around herself. she's just doing her job, nothing more
children love her. kids often give her gifts and silly drawings when she visits playcare. she puts them all in her office
loves dressing up in vibrant happy colors, you will never catch her wearing 'sad' colors unless it's at a funeral
she propably thought about trying to adopt one of the orphans atleast once
Eddie M.N. Ritterman
loner by nature. doesn't leave his office unless necessary, you could go a whole week without actually seeing him
sarcastic, slightly unpleasant to talk to, but Leith says he likes to keep him around because he's very diligent and always does his work without complains
the workers can't decide who's worse, Eddie or Sawyer. Sawyer is a nightmare to work with and everyone is scared about doing something to make him explode, but when Eddie appears and wants to talk to you, you know you've done something really bad
complete enigma. company cryptid. some workers don't even know if he truly exists
super pragmatic
doesn't sugarcoat things. very blunt. hates doing small talks
is like the only one of the four execs to have the balls to straight up tell Sawyer to go fuck himself (maybe except Leith)
This is my first ever headcanon post lmao

Pssttt, I heard you were looking for some ideas for the insomniac cat. I got a idea that's been cooking fresh off the stove for you. Catnap has been taking care of a child he found still alive after hour of joy. Simply because unlike most of the kids he would always see in playcare, they weren't scared of him when they first saw him. Following this for background information. The day of the hour of joy was their first day in playcare, so they first saw him all covered in blood after the events of the hour of joy, and yet the reader just ran up to him cutely calling him a kitty as they cling to one his fluffy long legs. Giving catnap a soft spot for them, leading him to start taking care of the child. In present day catnap starts to notice how they haven't slept in days, the cat starts getting slightly concerned so he decides to use the red smoke on the reader so they would sleep. Though for the sake of the idea he isn't aware of the nightmares that the red smoke gives children, so when they start kicking and crying in their sleep the cat starts to panic slightly in his own way while trying to wake them up. Using any means he can to, once they wake up catnap just curls up around them like a fluffy protector vowing to himself in his head he won't use the red smoke on them again. I'm sorry this is long just had this idea cooking in my head for awhile, I hope your having a great day!
Trying To Dream
Note || oh this punched me in the GUT.
WC || 1,086
Sypnosis || In trying times, a cat does the best he can.
It was quite strange, since he had first found you. By no means was CatNap a stranger of caring for children, but you were uniquely different. You were just that, a child with no actual perception of the reality you had been faced with. At that, he felt a pang of guilt for suddenly plunging you into this place without any adult caretakers first and foremost. But he felt they had greatly deserved their place, to rest in the Hour Of Joy.
When it had all taken place, he himself had rampaged alongside the other toys on his level. Even abolishing the Heretics that went against the Prototype’s rule, he simply was very thorough, cats are naturally akin to being able to notice and spot things. Not a single human soul had escaped his sight.
Yet it seemed he was practically proven wrong when you appeared in front of his very eyes, despite being covered in blood – you were enamored by CatNap.
CatNap’s tail swished and flicked about, prowling right behind his trail as he stopped suddenly in his designated tracks, hearing something out of his vision. “Kitty!” He looked down to see you running up to him, clinging to one of his elongated legs. He was confused for a moment, yet you appeared to be so adorable in his eyes.
Completely oblivious to what had occurred it seemed, you only saw CatNap. A very large kitty, but someone familiar to you. You wanted to cling to that warmth, the familiarity as you were a little nervous and scared before.
CatNap sets everything right for you, to your tiny little mind. Just a small child full of emotions, he felt so strongly in return. A tiny corner in the room of his hardened heart had grown soft, he grew soft at the sight of you. An instinctive familial urge in him to actually want to take care of you.
His head drew closer to the ground, hoping to get your attention. You giggle and smile, keeping onto his fur, instantaneously reminding him of all the children that he saw that came and went in Playcare. He wanted to protect that laughter, that absolute perfect smile of yours.
You laugh, shuffling over to where CatNap’s head had hung, patting the area around his mouth and eyes. He wiggled and shuffled his head just a bit, hoping to at least draw some sort of reaction out of you (just so he can realize he wasn’t dreaming), “Oh, you look funny Kitty!” You grin, hands clamoring to his neck now. CatNap knew he was sure of it now, you didn’t seem to be panicking or in distress. Nothing of the sort he could indicate, you really were just happy to see him, simply it may be because of the fact he is a cat. By the way you react to him, you really liked cats, so this was an advantage on his part.
You weren’t scared of CatNap at all, that he was grateful for internally. Cause good grief, some memories of the children he had put to sleep before had left them with a bad impression of CatNap.
He didn’t want that happening with you.
CatNap’s tail stretched and stretched, wriggling its way over to you. You giggle at the funny sight, sitting down on the ground as you try to catch it, though it seems to have caught you instead. The tail wrapped around your waist, lifting you up with easing and laying you on the large purple kitty’s back.
“Ahaha! Maybe I should call you…” You pause for a moment, leaving CatNap to be silently concerned due to the length. “Stretchy kitty!” CatNap internally shrugs, leaving no room to be made as he began walking with you on his back, he was painfully aware of you as he didn’t want you falling off on accident.
CatNap in earnest has lost track of how long he had been taking care of you since you two had first met, you really had taken a liking to him.
Yet he took notice very quickly of the lack of sleep you didn’t have for the past few days, not getting the proper sleep and care a human needs can affect one detrimentally. He knows this too, remembering this from experience.
CatNap slinked through the entrance to his room, seeing that you were still at his bed doing your own things. Right now, you were drawing with crayons on a piece of parchment paper that he could find that wasn’t completely ruined. You were quite happy, content.
Your eyes seemed to be so sunken, your energy was low however. CatNap figured it was one of those days where you had a sudden burst of energy to do things. He figured he can help, CatNap knows his gas can put people to sleep.
So that is what he had absolved for, releasing the gas right around the room in your general vicinity. You had gotten so used to the feel of his presence you never looked up at him, just continuing to draw until you had felt very sleepy. Eyes closing and limbs go limp as you fell sideways, CatNap caught you with a swift movement of his tail, laying you gently on his bed.
He quickly went to find a blanket to cover you with, gently draping it over your small form. For a moment, you were silent, finally peaceful to actually get some sleep for the first time in days. Only then did CatNap have the morbid realization of what the side-effects of his Poppy Gas does.
All was peaceful for a good thirty minutes, until a cry broke him out of his nap. He looked around, then noticed your little legs and arms flailing about, not violently but noticeable enough to begin drawing concern from CatNap. He felt a pang of guilt bubble in his chest, nudging you almost roughly enough to get you to awaken.
Your cries was something he didn’t want to hear again, his own gas caused you nightmares at the risk of just wanting you to actually get some sleep.
“Ah, kitty!” You sniffle, rubbing your eyes as you cuddle up to CatNap. He in turn returns the sentiment, ears somehow pinned back just possibly enough to understand the emotion. CatNap folds in on both his front and hind legs, laying down completely.
From then on, there wasn’t a chance he was going to use the gas on you again.
Not if it meant nightmares.

PPT AU- Doey the Doughman
So I just discovered communities, especially one for Doey & I wanted to info dump lore for the Doey (or Doeys) within this AU I’m working on.
For context, in this AU (which I haven’t thought of a name yet) Playtime Co used only adults for their experiments, & actually take care of the orphans & help them get adopted. Obviously they can only use so many employees, so they resorted to run factory tours where they will then kidnap any visitors that are adults. If they have kids, Playtime Co would place them into orphanage.
There’s more information about characters on my profile, but we’ll just be going over who is the new Doey.
Doebert
Doebert was one the first of the Doey BBIs to be created & was semi-successful. However his emotions highly unstable, causing him to be under constant observation & kept away from the children.
Much like the original Doey, 3 individuals were used to create him. The individuals used to create Doebert were Susan & George Ayers, & Martin “Samuel” Barnes. I’m sure everyone knows who the Ayers are, but Martin Barnes was an OC I created & he’s obviously Kevin’s father.
The reason why Doebert is so unstable is due to the extreme amount of “negative” emotions that the 3 individuals are experiencing: Susan is feeling grief & regretful, George is feeling anxious but is the most rational of the 3, & Martin is feeling anger & vengeful.
Because of their emotional instability, they weren’t allowed to see their own children. However this changed when they broke containment & got to Playcare to find their kids. They were able to find Jack, who was terrified at first but relaxed when he saw how happy Doebert was to see him. They were placed back into their cell, but are occasionally allowed to go to Playcare if they behave.
Jack & Kevin were told that their parents abandoned them. While Kevin prefers to keep his grievances to himself, Jack would talk to Doebert & sometimes ask: “Why did Mommy & Daddy leave me?” “Do they hate me?” “Does Mommy not love me anymore?” “Did I do something bad?” Imagine hearing your own child say these things & you’re not allowed to say who you really are or what really happened.
I do have some art of Doebert:

Doeby
Doeby is the most recent version of Doey & is considered to be the most successful. His personality is somewhat similar to Original Doey, but is more bubbly & much more outgoing.
The 3 individuals used to create Doeby were Sofia Maggie, Dr. Frederick Stone, & Toby “Tabby” Millar. All 3 are OCs that I’ve created just for this AU. Sofia Maggie, or Ms. Maggie, was a Playcare Counselor who was known to be cheerful & friendly. Dr. Frederick Stone was a Pediatrician within Playcare, while a bit awkward around others, he always made sure that orphans were healthy & well taken care of. Toby Millar, or Tabby, was actually an orphan who grew up in Playcare, after turning 18 he overheard some things he shouldn’t have, but actually volunteered to be used for this specific BBI.
Since Doeby is considered to be the best choice to watch over the children, he gets to stay up in Playcare rather than the Prison. He does visit Doebert sometimes to check up on him & give him updates regarding Jack & Kevin.
Originally only Doeby’s existence was known by the orphans, but after Doebert broke containment, Doeby made up the story that Doebert is his big brother & he’s really shy, which is why they haven’t seen him before.
I don’t have any art of Doeby yet, but I want to give him a more pastel color palette.
Also as a side project, I would like to draw my Doeys interacting with other creators’ Doeys. If you’re interested, please comment or message me.

how did the player manage to get all of them??? what did player do to convince them? if they had to be convinced?? (i'm asking about the 'everyone is saved' au!)
I'm working on a few pieces of art regarding this, but they'll take some time, so until then...
The Player/Angel did half of the "rescues" by accident, the other half by sheer spite. Huggy was saved from falling down by a VERY shaky and terrified Angel who had to drag him somewhere else so they could take a look at him. After freeing a very shocked and terrified Poppy and seeing her getting kidnapped by Mommy Long Legs, the duo went on their way to rescue the doll. And, well...
Lets just say. Long Legs did NOT like having a grown adult look at her face and tell her she seems lonely. Huggy 100% looked at Angel not understanding half of what was going on but still nodded along. He also didn't help much with the games Long Legs was throwing at them, and the toys that were a part of it were SO confused by Huggy being there. Thankfully, though, Angel unkowingly saved their lives with their banter with Long Legs. Angel also sort of "rescued" them/befriended them after the games.
Long Legs... I plan on either drawing or writing more in-depth about how the Angel convinced her to stick around, but let's just say that they GRABBED her out of being crushed to death. Sadly she still lost an arm, but it's better than her life.
Angel came back with Long Legs, Huggy and at least 20 other toys and Poppy was just "??????? how????????", but she was just too thankful to see them alive and well to say anything else.
Angel stayed with the group for some time to take care of everyone's wounds, because Huggy unfortunately also got a bit more hurt during Long Leg's chase. They, uhm, had a sibling fight. That involved certain murder attempt. But, hey, at least they're okay now! Poppy also informed Angel of most details of her plan instead of making them enter the train to reveal that.
Angel, however, decided to head to Playcare alone with Poppy. It took some convincing, but too many toys were hurt for them to feel safe having around without fearing for their lives. Playcare felt lonely until Angel found Dogday and yanked him away from his cell before running for their lives.
For this AU, Dogday does not recover his legs. Angel takes him to Poppy and Kissy, and, together, they stitch him back together. Dogday then follows and helps Angel around, mostly by warning them of what they could find.
I could go on and ONNNNN about what saving Catnap was like but, again, I plan on going that more in-depth later on. So a quick tldr would be "Angel discovers who Theo was and what happened to him before becoming Catnap and decides to bring some comfort to this literal child". Angel knows something else happened to Catnap for him to go from following the Prototype around like a child trying to copy their parent to an apex predator who almost had to beg the Smiling Critters to hunt other toys so they wouldn't starve. Dogday plays a role on this as well because him and Catnap used to be friends (he tried to shield little Theo from all the bullying!), and he genuinely wants Catnap to become better, but he's too hurt to actually be the one who convinces him to switch sides.
Anyways. Angel didn't want for Catnap to be electrocuted again. They were dissociating and on the verge of tears when the Prototype's arm appeared. They didn't even know what happened until they were on top of Catnap and he smelt blood as the Prototype simply left them to be.
Catnap lost an ear and was so, so angry at Angel for throwing themself at him. He was hurt and horrified and he actually screamed at Angel before they calmed him down.
We can say that Catnap knew that dying wasn't the solution he wanted, but after spending so much time in that nightmare, it was the only option he knew. Thankfully Angel knows well how that feels like and gently treated his wounds, even when he tried to attack them, even when he ran away more than once so he wouldn't look at that human again. Angel was still there for him.
Anyways this is followed by Angel having to stop Mommy Long Legs and Catnap from trying to kill each other, and then Angel having to assign Dogday to look out for Long Legs so she wouldn't try to make Huggy or Kissy fight the cat.
Anyways, Angel also befriends the mini critters on this process because they were assigned as the Playcare's new apex predator. Angel asks Catnap to keep the little ones OUT of Dogday's sight so the dog wouldn't have a panic attack, then comes back two hours later to see the mini critters and the mini huggies befriending each other.
After that, it's the group against the Prototype.
...
After that, it's Angel trying to convince Prototype to try therapy. And then when it's all said and one, everyone goes outside and Angel calls the authorities after being handled the paperwork transferring the factory's ownership and money to them. It's a LOT of explaining to do, LOTS of documents to hide so no one else would try to replicate the experiments ever again, and some extra laws being made because what the actual fuck just happened here.
So, in a nutshell:
Angel has too much dad/mom energy for the traumatized kids to not get themselves attached to them.

I hhave three questions, if I may!
Does DogDay in the red giant au like, attack anything that is alive/that moves, or not? Like, if someone where to give him food would he attack them or?? Sorry if this question is dumb lol
This sorta plays into the third question, but do you have any tips on how to draw the smiling critters?
Do you have any tips making a smiling critter oc? I'm really struggling with coming up for a design for my one, she always ends up lookin plain/boring :(
HELLOO SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG
1 sort of…..???
He would rather snatch the food from your hand and forget about you than actually try to go after you!! It’s easy food after all!
And even if he did try attacking you, he can’t really so much, he has no strength left!
2 JUST ONE BUT YES
TEAR. BODIES.
thats literally it. tear bodies. that how you can construct their bodies.. Play with that! Make different poses!
3 Of course! Here are some tips!!
NAMES-
Soo, i usually base my ocs on animal idioms, animal expressions, adjectives, etc. Here are some examples with meanings!!
Loan Shark
Moneylender who asks for a lot of money, usually illegally.
CashCow
Someone who makes a lot of money from a company
BusyBee
Someone who keeps themselves busy
KittyCorner
Diagonally opposite from someone or something
Sitting Duck(s)
Someone thats easy to manipulate, cheat or take advantage of
EagerBeaver
Someone who works very hard and enthusiastically
WholeHog
Do something to its fullest extent
GuineaPig
Person used as a subject for an experiment
Wild Goose (Chase)
Foolish chase for something unattainable
BlackSheep
Person who embarrasses a group for being different
One-Trick-Pony
Person with one great talent but doesn’t have much more to offer
Road Hog
Dangerous driver, someone who drives recklessly
TopDog
The most important person in a group
You can also take normal expressions that have certain words that sound like animal species! Take my oc as an example (Sir Bat-An-Eye.)
COLORS-
IF you are basing your little critter on a real animal, you could think, “Man, how do i make this little guy look more Smiling Critter-ish?”
COLORS!!
Take Bubba for example,

He is an elephant! Elephants aren’t a bright blinding blue! Yet in a lot of cartoons they are represented this way because it is way more colorful! Sure to attract kids.
If it is an actual animal, search for some cartoon references of them! Maybe that can help!
Saturate the colors A LOT. Do you think kiddies would like an old, rusty, sad-beige-mom animal in their show??!?! Well- maybe…..🤔
But thats not the point! Make them bright! Make them pop!
Also, don’t always base them off of the animals ACTUAL colors! Give them different colors! If you want to make your alligator oc red because he lives in the depths of an erupting volcano then go ahead! If you want your parrot oc to be THE COLOR OF THE FUCKING RAINBOW then go ahead!! Who says they have to be the normal colors? Not me!
PERSONALITY AND ANIMAL CHOOSING-
Sooo… if you wanna be very picky like me.. then choose animals by how they would act in a society!
A hyena wouldn’t be nice! They would make fun of people, they would be rude!
A gazelle would be shy! They wouldn’t get their kicks from fighting!
That kinda what i mean🤔
If you want an elegant Critter, look for animals that often represent elegance, like peacocks!!
WHAT THEY DO.
What would they do if they were caretakers in PlayCare? A therapist? A janitor? What do they teach? Think about that and maybe that will help you with their necklaces!!
If you need more help, ask away :p!!
#poppy playtime#poppy playtime 3#art#oc#this is pretty much me yapping up and down#sorry#hope it helps#!!!!

I'm seeing age differences in those relationship charts-
But are those Real age differences, or are they part of their "Character" and not when they were actually made.
I'm assuming the latter because of them "remembering" the cartoon as you've put it- but the idea that they actually had real childhoods (one not just written up on some script) and were kids is both adorable and also very depressing.
Thinking about it, realizing you're an artificial being that was made directly into an teen/adult with only fake memories and stories from a tv show is some prime existential dread. I mean that seem like it could be one of the few things that could truly break the critters- especially for Catnap who seem adamant that there is a world to go back to, only to be faced with "that world- those memories were never real".
That kind of angst seems ripe for picking!
Alright - Combining these together.
Let's start off with a height chart and ages for the Critters! (Plus Angel), and this would be in feet - and yes these are the heights I am trying to keep consistent.
Find the original here.
Okay, more under the cut!
So
Let's start with our Anon. You are so right. I really want to make these guys have varied bodies, just like I did whenever I draw the FNAF animatronics. So it makes it tricky for me to keep the cartoon proportions, as I just want to lean into anthro proportions. But I strongly agree with you!
Okay. Moving on.
The ages for the Critters are based off of two things. My preference for having some older style toons - and I imagine these are based on their creation and not their ages on the show. I imagine the show kept them ageless, but around the same year. DogDay is our oldest, because I believe whoever created them in universe first thought of him before the other critters. I think the creator of the show originally meant to just have a small show with just DogDay, Bubba, and Picky - for whatever reasons. (She just gives off older vibes to me). Over time, the others were added in for various reasons. Hoppy is our youngest, as I like to think she was a last minute addition to the team to balance them out.
These ages are just what I have listed, but I think none of the critters really view themselves having the same age. I think if you were to ask any of them, their first answer would be at least twenty five. Five years working in PlayCare, ten after the Hour of Joy, and they would simply shrug off the rest.
Then there's Angel, who started working for the company at the age of twenty three. Stayed for three years, then left.
As for childhoods? They have a false one written into each of their characters. Excuse me while I ramble on about what the backgrounds they were "programmed" with.
DogDay was an only child and rather lonely. He decided to take that loneliness and work that much harder to befriend others and create meaningful relationships. He approached each critter one-on-one, and after that? He'd try to hold on to anyone he clicked with. He has so many false memories of his family and his time with his friends before the show's "start". Though... If he actually thinks about it, he starts to question why he never had any pictures of these memories. However, once brought into the "real" world, he adjusted to this realization.
Bubba was the first to be approached, though he knew DogDay when they were children. They grew up together, and DogDay really helped him get past his awkward phase. He spent so much time trying to focus on learning, fascinated by everything he could read about. DogDay helped him come out of his shell and befriend others. He was the first to realize his memories were fake and adjusted incredibly well. As far as he saw it - yes. They weren't "real" creatures in the show, but existing in PlayCare? They were alive. Did the past really matter when the present was far more important?
Picky grew up with a massive family. She is the eldest of her siblings and had always taken on a caretaker kind of role. She happened to meet DogDay towards the end of their childhood, an was confused when this excited dog insisted on dragging her over to meet a rather shy elephant. She found them both to be weird, but she warmed up to them quickly. She struggled with the realization that her memories were fake. After all, this meant that the family she had, the siblings she loved so deeply and cared for... None of that existed. To cope, she ended up taking care of the kids that much more. She was going to heal her sorrows by making new memories.
CatNap happened to wander in to town on their own, deciding to make a life for themselves - despite their young age. They was probably three days into their solitude when DogDay discovered them in a tree. CatNap was confused and insisted that DogDay leave them be, but the pup wasn't backing down. Eventually, he convinced them to come down and join him and Bubba for a picnic. Though CatNap and Bubba didn't get along at first, CatNap and DogDay were inseparable after that day. They discovered their memories were false due to their recall. They poked their head around the councilor's office and discovered too much, and CatNap just couldn't handle it. They still don't believe all of those memories were fake, and they just want to cling to those nonexistent days.
Bobby moved into town with her family, a middle child with three older siblings and one younger adopted sibling. She happened to run into DogDay during a Valentine's Day celebration. She had taken charge of the decorating, and was impressed that DogDay not only wanted to help, but enlisted his friends to help too! This is how she met Bubba, Picky, Kickin and CatNap in their teen years. She couldn't thank them enough and was the first to suggest a weekly meetup for them. She still has not realized these memories are fake, but she is suspicious of some details and has her doubts.
Kickin is the youngest child in his family, adopting a cool persona to help his self esteem issues. He didn't meet the others until later on, in the end on their childhood and the start of their teen years. He met CatNap first on accident, catching the cat being cornered by some larger critters. Despite being so tiny, Kickin' jumped in to defend the cat, and though the two didn't fair well, they immediately bonded. CatNap soon introduced him to DogDay. Though they liked each other, Kickin' always felt the need to one-up him. A rival. He has not realized the memories are fake, but he has no idea.
Crafty was an only child, but incredibly gifted. She happened to find herself in town to study, though she had a small desire to follow her art. She often spent time alone, finding a quiet spot to occasionally doodle between her studies. It was during one of these days when she met DogDay - who had no concept of personal space and leaned on her, asking her what she was drawing. Of course, this scared the hell out of her. Afterwards, DogDay apologized and insisted that he make it up to her by inviting her to the group's weekly hang-out. When Crafty met the others, she was amazed by how welcoming the other Critters were. She then began to start coming up with ideas on friendship charms and was the one to propose the idea. Everyone voted on what type of charm best suited the others. She is deep in denial that her memories are false, but deep down? She thinks she's always known.
Hoppy was the last to join the group. She met DogDay during a sporting event - as he was there to root for Kickin' (and CatNap, though CatNap spent the game sleeping on the benches). He was impressed by her sportsmanship, and she found his sunshine behavior pretty funny. They clicked almost immediately, so he grabbed her hand and quite literally dragged her to the others. While Hoppy didn't get along with the others that quickly, she stuck around. Because Hoppy was a last minute addition to the show, her memories are the most fragmented. It stresses her out if she dwells on it, so she ignores it.
CatNap's insistence on returning to their cartoon is probably the one thing that deeply angers DogDay as well. In the cartoon, they didn't have freewill. They could not feel things outside of their script - at least, not to the same extent. In the "real" world, DogDay felt they could finally be themselves. That they could truly be alive, even though they were technically prisoners to Playtime Co. DogDay couldn't express his love for the others in the cartoon. His friends couldn't be as happy - like Bobby and Hoppy. They could never be together in that world.
So, hearing CatNap demand that they just give up their freedom? Yeah. This is probably one of the only things that they fought about.
#thanks for stopping by the inbox!#ccyclone rambles#So many headcanons and there's simply not enough time for me to go into depth any further#Sorry for the rather long post as well

My cringy oc/take on the player from poppy playtime
((I'll draw her soon))
((please forgive any mistakes in the timeline- I'm winging this guys! Also sorry that it's long.))
Name: Philomena W, or Phil
Height: 5'2 - 5'3 (very small)
Age: mid 20's- early 30's (idk)
Trivia:
-is actually pretty good at science
-suffers from complicated grief/survivor's guilt
-took a lot of gymnastic classes and has a black belt in judo
-is of african american and greek heritage.
-is addicted to granola, nutella and energy bars (she packed quite a few and is currently working on introducing them to most of the friendly toys- spoiler alert that hasn't gone well.)
-has always been terrified of huggy (even as a kid she'd scream and cry at the 'statue')
-her uncle was a high-ranking executive at the company
-has a simon smoke companion that follows her around (it's the same one Harley Sawyer tried to make her kill)
-despite being a naturally quiet person, a work accident left her vocal chords injured, hence why she rarely if ever speaks. (the longer she spends in the factory the more she does talk to the toys tho)
History:
-my take has the player as a female/daughter of one of the people who were selected for Ludwig's young genius program. He was ecstatic when he was called back, and worked as a scientist for a bit. He encouraged Phil to pursue her love of science to the fullest extent.
-Her mom also worked at Playtime co- as an executive (somewhere in the middle) and gave tours. can sometimes remember going on tours and meeting/seeing the poppy doll. She always wanted one- but her father refused to buy her a poppy doll (or any toys made by playtime co for that matter). His growing weariness and fear of the company confused her, but he always refused to elaborate to her, until one night after overhearing him argue with her uncle, he and her mother left to go buy supplies for her science fair project as they'd promised her, completely oblivious to the awaiting accident that would promptly take their lives, leaving Phil an orphan.
Phil was devastated, unable to believe that her parents, her home and her world was gone, until Playtime co came forward, offering to take her in. Transitioning in playcare was hard. She wasn't exceptional at the games in the translation nor was she like the other kids who'd practically grown up there and the toys (at least she thought they were toys) frightened her. Fortunately she was able to form a few friendships with a girl named Riley who'd also lost her parents, and a kind young man named Matthew, who would read about wizards to her and the rest of the children.
But her time in playcare was cut short as her uncle stepped in, swiftly adopting her as she said goodbye to the other children, promising to visit them (she also promised Matthew that she'd get the final Word the Wizard book for him to read). She'd been especially elated to learn of Riley also being adopted on the same day, and the two promised to meet soon (a promise that would sadly never be materialized)
Time passed as Phil grew, interning at the company as she would often try to sneak into the orphanage to see her friends. However, she noticed that most were gone, having left behind no trace nor clue of where they'd disappeared to, all that she'd heard some of the workers say was that they'd been chosen for 'testing'. Whatever that was.
But wanting to honor both her friends and the spirit of Ludwig, Phil decided that she too would someday adopt if only to give a kid a chance.
However it would all come to a head as after graduating, Phil changed her name and managed to get a job as a scientist there at playtime co. She was far too low-ranking to know anything (she didn't want to be anywhere near that Sawyer guy who hated her parent's guts) and often visited the orphans in secret, (sneaking them toys and candy) and even developed a close connection with one. But when she'd tried to adopt them, and had learned that the child she sought was undergoing 'testing' which horrified her.
((I can't exactly describe how it all goes next- but she ends up getting angry and storming out of playcare which ultimately leads to her getting into an accident that damages her vocal chords)) She wakes up in the hospital with her uncle berating her- warning her to not mess with the company and make it any harder for him as he'd promised her father to keep her safe, only for her to place a target on her back now.
Sensing that he's said the wrong thing, her uncle promises to explain everything to her after he comes from work the next day.
Only he never does, in fact save for a handful, no one makes it out of the factory that day, nor do they have any answers for the other's disappearance.
Moving on wasn't an easy affair for Phil, as she'd often found herself wandering to the outside of the factory, watching trucks of extraction teams enter into the factory, often in far greater numbers than those that left, until one day everything stopped.
It had seemed the world had forgotten about playtime co.
But not Phil, and when she'd received that note it was all she needed to read before she'd found herself headed straight back to the factory.
((unnecessary fun fact: the only things she's packed is granola/energy bars, a ton of water, flowers (for her uncle's grave) and the last book of word the wizard.

Three more toys today!
Human name: Foster Plumage
Toy name: Rock-a-bye Rupert
Age (when first made into a toy): 11
Height: 6'11
Role: Caretaker (for baby orphans specifically)
Personality: Can be the most vulgar guy in the room with the humor of an angry kid in a Call of Duty chat room, but immediately turns the other way around when around children and even scold you for being vulgar around them (despite his own sense of humor). That's the sheer contrast between On-duty Rupert and Break room Rupert.
Backstory: Foster was the Caleb of the Pre-HOJ era, though slightly more aggressive. He was Playcare's local edgy eleven year old with the humor of a 4chan user, who had this sort of same problem that Maury has where he tends to let words slip. Combine those two factors together, and you get a kid that got sent to detention a lot.
Another thing about him is his tendency to get overstimulated by sound. Due to studies about autism not being the best at the time, the Playcare attendants weren't able to put two and two together. And because of his sound problem and his room's close proximity to Home Sweet Home's nursery, that proved to be...really annoying for him.
It wasn't rare for him to storm into the nursery in the middle of the night and yell at the nursery attendants about how they're not doing it right. Then Foster would somehow calm the babies down in an instant, somehow immediately being able to tell if they need milk, a diaper change, or to be held, like ot was a sixth sense.
Then he was selected, became a bigger body, yadda yadda. Instead of participating in the HOJ himself, Rupert was one of the toys that helped hide the orphans away from the incident under the Prototype's orders. Post-HOJ, he's the caretaker in charge of the orphans ranging from newborns to toddler, up until they're old enough for preschool. He's usually the one that looks after Stella Long Legs whenever her memories kick back in and Mommy doesn't want to deal with her.
Extra info: Rupert actually feels bad for Stella. He once found the VHS tape of Leith threatening Stella to stay quiet about the BBI, or else she'd be fed to Boxy. Which Rupert can tell that's the case, since Boxy's music can be heard in the background. Rupert doesn't really like Boxy that much because of this, since he never made any attempt at clearing Stella's name to the heads. Especially Mommy, who Rupert considers to be unreasonable with how she treats Stella during her episodes. Even then, Rupert keeps quiet about it, not looking forward to having his limbs broken by the Prototype for the sin of having empathy.
Weaknesses: Bones are easy to break since they're hollow like a real bird's, can be momentarily stunned by loud noise, easy to track by following his stray feathers.
Strengths: Wings are actually functional, and can also double as hands (the drawing doesn't do his wingspan justice), beak is sharp enough to stab through plastic.
Human name: Kieran Walken
Toy name: Spyro-crylic
Age (when first made into a toy): 14
Height: 5'8
Role: Other (interior designer)
Personality: A toy dedicated to his craft, who really doesn't like being disturbed in the middle of his work. Other than that, he's pretty much the toy version of an online commentary Youtuber, the likes of Saberspark and such.
Backstory: Kieran was the type of kid whose thoughts were louder than his words. He had (and still has) this habit of aggressively monologuing in his mind, but would look absolutely silent and timid on the outside. He tends not to make too much attempt at socializing with his peers, since whenever his inner monologues become outer monologues, he tends to steer said peers away with whatever obscure topic is in his head that day.
But then he one day decided he could maybe spruce his room up, after asking for permission from the Playcare attendants of course. It wasn't mainly him that did the painting (being an attendant instead), but the attendant did notice his unexpected talent for painting murals of different toys on the walls. Word spread, and suddenly all the other kids want Kieran to paint their favorite toys on their walls too. That was when he started to get along with them more.
Blah blah blah, selection process, BBI procedure, HOJ—
And now Spyro's the toy in charge of redecoration. Mainly redecorating any new orphan's rooms, and repainting the hallways whenever needed (especially when cleaning supplies aren't enough to get rid of any blood stains). During his work, he tends to be highly irritable, hyperfocused on the art having to be perfect. Prototype forbid you touch any wet paint, or he will freak out.
Extra info: the way the actual Spyro-crylic toys work, they're basically teeny mechanical snails with shells that you can fill in with paint. Then you turn the buggers on and watch them walk on a sheet of paper while leaving a paint trail. BBI Spyro paints in the same way, pretty much. Except instead of paper, he crawls through the walls he's painting.
Weaknesses: Slow (he's a snail), also easy to track if his shell still has paint inside, not that durable
Strengths: can walk on walls and ceilings, adjustable field of vision, eyes can extend and grab stuff
Human name: Cressida Clearwing
Toy name: Nurse Mariposa
Age (when first made into a toy): 7
Height: 5'10
Role: Medic
Personality: A peppy but also gossipy nurse, who tends to always catch onto the newest gossip first, and sometimes accidentally spill the tea on her patients. She's also caring, but in a stubborn way. And by that, I mean she's the type to scold someone else for overexerting their energy for the sake of work or something, or for forcing themselves to skip recovery.
Backstory: Cressida was known as the kid who was incapable of keeping secrets, which caused others to steer away from her, making her feel lonely. That was until she was befriended by another orphan, a popular girl who would only use her to help spread false rumors about other kids. Cressida wasn't aware of what the girl was doing, and only did after the popular girl was adopted.
Feeling betrayed, she started focusing all her anger at the game station tests, unexpectedly causing her game scores to skyrocket. She gets selected, toyed, yeah.
After her adjustment, testing, and conditioning period, Mariposa's purpose is to make the kids trust the doctors and scientists more while being evaluated by them. All the while she assists them the entire time. Her tendency to gossip was used against her, hammering the belief that nobody wants a tattletale to keep her quiet about the BBI around the kids. And since Mariposa was a seven year old, it...worked.
Post-HOJ, she serves as one of the medics at the factory's medic wing, though she also tends to any injured orphans. Despite her tendency to gossip, she's trained herself to stay quiet about any potentially sensitive information about a toy or orphan's medical history. Unlike her sisters though, she'd rather tend to the injured than help with the actual experimenting at the lower levels.
Extra info: To explain the mentioned stuff above: Just like Miss Delight, Mariposa had her own lookalike sisters who assisted different scientists. However, the others are either dead, or assisting with experimenting on the experiments at the lower levels. Mariposa also has a show called Boo-boo Bugs, with her as the main character going around and fixing up other bug characters, and teaching kids morals about bug facts and helping them better deal with any bug phobias by showing them they're not so bad (Carmen would say otherwise lmao)
Weaknesses: Wings are somewhat brittle and sensitive (has nerves), not very agile, poor reaction time.
Strengths: Wings are capable of flight, antennae helps her detect someone's presence even if they're hidden, very light footsteps that barely make a sound.

So... I have a question for you. Do You draw a reference sheet for a character before drawing them... or do you do what I did for William and draw without making a reference image and then draw one afterwards? Cause that's what I did!
Of course there is also an alt version with some information as well!
I also have some more facts about William to share! If your interested in knowing what else I've shared about William, check out the other post here!
The Clothes shown aren't what he would usually wear. I wanted to give him some style for the image to match the critters being dripped out, but this would be to attention grabbing for Williams needs. He would stay with plain clothes and nothing that makes him pop out. (You can consider this what William may want to wear if he didn't need to keep a low profile.)
William's eyes are not actually Red. They're a teal, bluish color. The Red is a stylization choice for showing if William is... not a good place... which is usually all the time. I thought it would be a cool touch to include.
William is about 14... and I think he would be in Playcare for about... maybe a year and a half around... whenever now is? I don't have any solid dates.
I slightly mentioned it earlier, but if William wasn't in this whole situation, his favorite Critter would be Bubba... who is now one of the ones William is most terrified of.
William considers Bobby to be the least dangerous to him due to her nature... yet what he doesn't realize is that Bobby, more then anyone else, would be able to tell that something isn't right about William, see that the face he puts up is a mask. (Her whole thing is Emotions after all!)
William isolates himself from any of the other kids when he can. He'll interact if it means keeping the act up, but he hates when he is forced to do that. These children are all like him, all able to be selected at a moments notice to be killed and have their corpse warped, mutilated, and turned into a monster. He won't open himself up to that heartache, when he would have to look at what they did- what they would put inside of his friend's body... even if it only aids in driving him mad.
If William would to ever be friends with anyone (which would be a miracle with how he would treat them at the beginning)... it would have to be something the other person actively tries to form despite him constantly pushing them away. Even then, he would only be okay with it if 1, the kid for some reason wasn't at risk of being killed or Toyed, and 2, NEVER even think of bringing a Toy near him. If they interact with the Toys anymore then needed, or god forbid have a friendship with one, he will avoid that person just like he does everyone else. (even if it hurts him... even if he wants Someone to care about in this place. He will not spend an extra second more near those THINGS.)
William knows what the Toys are... yet he does not see them as human. He sees them as monsters who inhabit the twisted remains of dead children. Catnap is not Theodore, Mommy is not Marie, no matter what they may claim. (It's partly a way for him to dehumanize them... but William truly does believe the Toys not to be the the person that was used to make them. If a Toy would dare to use the name of the one who was mutilated to make them... William may just snap right then and there.)
Many plans William has made to fight or evade a Toy should he need to revolves around both being seen as weak and quick few step plans. He is a child, and no matter what will never overpower a Toy. He hates it, but acts around that fact. When it comes to a fight, either he kills the Toy without mercy or they get him, there is no other way(?).
I think it would never happen, but I think there is a Small chance that William would be able to be okay with being near a Toy... maybe even calling one a friend... but they would have to take notice of William and pursue that... which is why the chance would be so small... but I think it could happen... given time and care... and maybe a bit of manipulation of Williams desire to not be alone anymore... that would surely go over well.
Oh and hi @realizinau, hope pinging ya again here is alright! (if not sorry!!!!!!)
#poppy playtime#smiling critters#poppy playtime oc#realizin' au#This was fun to make!#and really needed#I was like “should I give him a knife” while making this#But thought that would be too edgy.#Maybe later if I make a piece of William losing it all the way

About Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, Poppy Playtime Games & The Prototype
Hello everybody, this is Shadow264 aka, Shadow Wrath. It has been too lomg, hasn't it? My apologies. Thing have been very very busy at my end, with loads of issues and stuff. Hopefully they'll be sorted out soon.
SO ANYWAY, you guys heard that Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 is coming next year? Excited? You know I am, too.
Now, about the entire game of Poppy Playtime.... i really need to get this off my chest since its Chapter 2 Game and before Chapter 3 was released and way before Chapter 4 and Project Playtime came about.....
I, came the closest to solving Poppy Playtime in terms of the Prototype and the ENTIRE Facility.
Now, you all maybe wondering how I managed that, do you?
Now, you see the Factory, it is so gigantic. SO GIGANTIC that it can home many trains inside the facility to go anywhere around the factory. That includes the conveyor belts back in Chapter 1. Now, I must confess to you guys, too that I can picture things in my head. Which means possibilities are endless for me.
And after seeing the conveyor belts in Chapter 1 and the trains in Chapter 2 and Project Playtime, and the locations, as well in all game chapters, THEN things began to add up. The Factory is more than just a Factory. It is like... well, like the Hive from Resident Evil, but twisted, which means this Factory is not a Toy Factory. It is a Laboratory. The Toy Factory gig is simply a cover up to get people off their backs from the BIGGER and UTTER abominations that they're making out of the kids they took in. The Game Station is nothing more than tests to see which toy each child is compatible with.
..... which is when, the Prototype comes in.
Now, the Prototype. Believe it or not. I was the only one who came the closest to revealing him. And how did that come about? Well, that's simple. This eventually leads us to Chapter 3 and upcoming Chapter 4 and my ealier findings. Yes, the Prototype caused the Hour of Joy and he was the one who caused everything behind the scenes. But what if I were to tell you that he had subordinates? Those, were Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs and his disciple, Catnap. He didn't want to show himself yet because he was still incomplete. That is why he sent them out as his pawns, his foot soldiers so he can slowly prepare himself to fight you while he watches you, where ever he lies.
And YES, The Prototype has been watching us the whole time. There were a few occasions, really when we play the tapes about the Prototype at the near ends of the Chapters. You will notice that there was a laser pointer pointing on the TV. THAT was actually the sign that the Prototype.... was watching.... and he was.... behind you.
Shocking, isn't it?
Now, continuing on about the Factory as I'll be also bring in The Prototype, too. Moving on, yes the Factory is like a Hive, whereby there is a train system, conveyor belt system, a Playcare, the new edition from Chapter 4, a Prison or a Security Facility are stationed waaaaay waaaaaaaaaay underground of the Factory, which tells us this; On the outside, they are making toys for Joy, but on the inside, it is all experimentation and hell in there. Which brings to what I have thought about and pictured.
You see, before Chapter 3, Project Playtime and Chapter 4 came out, I always believed that Playtime Co. is much more bigger than this to make those huge toys that turn into monsters. So, I decided to picture, think and draw them out. An underground school, an experiment room, a facility to house the toys in, a testing chamber, the TOP SECRET Room, and many more which also involves the Prototype. When Chapter 3 and the upcoming Chapter 4 surfaced, that's when I realized (again, I say this), I came the closest to solving the Prototype. While discovering that, I also discover that the Factory is like a Hive, meaning if there is a way in, that means there has to be multiple ways out of the Factory, from both above, and below.
The Experiment Rooms are one thing, but when it comes to the Prototype, what I discover is quite simple and easy to read. The Prototype is not just like a living Frankenstein's Monster, or the Kindred itself, it is a sentient being with its own singularity. That's why it's so smart to make a laser pointer and escape. Now, you are wondering why the other toys didn't escape but the Prototype somehow did? Well that is simple. Its Experiment Room was located sonewhere else beyond the bigger bodies experiements' reach comsidering the Prototype's sentience. Which leaves me to suspect that the Prototype is being stationed.... way below the Chapter 4 levels of the Playtime Co. Factory.... why else would it be able to move freely? Cause' it already knows in and out of that Factory. That's why.
I was coming close to solving the entire Factory's schematics and the Prototype's identity theoratically all on my own, but.... idk.... something stopped me from proceeding further due to the fact that something is telling me.... that 'I know too much'.
So, I stopped. But not out, yet. I'm just secretly theorizing still so i'll do my best to crack everything the best I can.
Yeah. That's what's going on and the thing I wanna get off my chest. Creepy right? Though i'm beatin the bush around and repeating but, you should get the idea on where i am coming from.
Welp, that should be all for me for the time being. If you like, I'll put some posts about Chapters 1 to 4, too on my own time. So for now, this is it for me, and it's good to be back.

Headcanons can't stop won't stop
-Her primary language is English, but she knows a little Spanish and French. She's fully fluent in American Sign Language, feeling it's a great way for young children to communicate their feelings and wants. All kids in Playcare under eight years old know how to sign the alphabet, all kids under six know how to sign their emotions or needs. So it was common to see kids sign "hungry" "sleepy" "play" "bathroom" "happy" "sad" "angry" etc
-When she catches any of the toys using said signs, her heart breaks a little more. Nothing kills your heart faster than seeing the newest Wuggy sign "scared, sad, hurt" with their tiny felted hands.
-She also knows how to say "hello," "friend" and numbers one through ten in as many languages as she can. She loves teaching the kids when they ask.
-Her office is a double on the second floor. She had a smaller office when working with the kids, but after taking on toys as patients, she was granted a bigger office. Her desk with computer is off in a corner, with two chairs, the uncomfy wooden desk chair and a much comfier big chair near the window looking out. There's another comfy chair and a smaller loveseat for the kids to sit on. There's a bean bag chair in the corner where you might find a mini Critter or two curled up asleep on. She has motivational posters on the walls, including the classic hanging cat that reads "hang in there" but it's a drawing of Catbee, Candy Cat, and cartoon Catnap hanging from the branch together. She asked that the colors be muted in her office to keep the kids and the toys calm as they attend sessions. Her magic radio is kept on a bookshelf by the window, sometimes plugged in, sometimes not. She has all kinds of books available from children's psychology books, children's books about life skills, to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Star Wars books like the Thrawn Trilogy, Star Trek books, other fantasy and sci fi books, and all are shelved in a way that hides her growing manga collection.
-She's DEATHLY allergic to cats! The good news is that all the mini critters are made with faux fur and/or hair so no allergies are passed to her. Catnap tried to avoid Dr. Gemma like the plague when he heard that, but she chased him down and forced him to have a cuddle session to show that she's not allergic to HIM or any of the mini Catnaps. Or Catbee. Or Candy Cat. She's so happy she finally lives out her dream of being the crazy cat lady without the actual cats!
-She can't play any musical instruments. She can sing okay as long as she can sing a soft alto (like a lullaby, for example), but she's no professional. After being forced to take ballet as a toddler, she's a fairly graceful dancer once she gets going. But she doesn't know any actual dances, and choreographing something for the toys to do to entertain guests is a massive chore! She often has to get help from the tour staff or theater staff for ideas.
-When she's not working in the councilor's office, she volunteers to help around Playcare wherever she's needed. She could be cooking in Home Sweet Home's kitchen, helping kids with homework in the school, teaching others how to do hopscotch in the quad, deep cleaning the pool area in the Playhouse, changing diapers in the nursery, anything and everything. She's more than happy to do it, she loves helping the kids in any way she can. The younger ones tend to gravitate to her more than the older ones.
-While Playtime Co held bonuses for any staff that adopted a kid from Playcare, Dr. Gemma hasn't had time, space at home, or the extra money to care for a kid. But, if she had to pick one, there was a shy little boy that reminded her so much of Catnap that she really wanted to take him home. His name is Nemo Southwark, and he started opening up to Dr. Gemma in his sessions at the beginning of August of 1995. He's now in the labs with the other orphans, sleeping, under the Prototype's watch.
-Behind the Scenes Trivia Time! Dr. Nightingale's last name came from Agent Robert Nightingale from Alan Wake. I've always loved the name (not the character) and I just wanted to use it. Gemma Dawn came to me as I was playing around with character names. The name Nightingale is also a bit of irony as in Surviving Playtime she's often referred to as a "caged bird" or "songbird."

I'm a fashion enjoyer, so here's more talk about Save Everyone AU/Poppy Worldwide fashion and character design:
For the AU, I'm trying my best to follow canon, despite me throwing it out of the window from time to time whenever I feel like adding or changing something would benefit the story and its themes. This is why I changed most of chapter 2's VHS tapes and documents, and I'm doing something similar for chapter 3.
I forgot to mention this while writing the chapter 2 arc, but Huggy Wuggy wears a little blanket around his neck. I need to draw him wearing it, but it has a dark blue color. I wanted Huggy to feel and look more like a feral kid and thought it would be appropriate;
Marie/Mommy Long Legs first starts out wearing nothing but the things that are already part of her plastic body, and ends the chapter 2 arc without her left arm. Similar to Huggy, in order to make her feel more like a kid I decided to make her wear Angel's green hoodie. Green in this AU is a color associated with both hope and Angel themself, as its a nature color. Marie is clingy and has a fear of abandonment thanks to what happened to her pre-becoming MLL, so she gets attached to the hoodie much like how a kid would wear their parent's outfits in order to "copy" them, while also getting attached to the idea of finally leaving that hellhole;
Poppy wears her traditional and frilly blue dress for chapter 2 and half of chapter 3, up until Angel helps Miss Delight and the group realocates to the School. Poppy's dress got extremely dirty from all the chaos, and in order to adapt, she decides to switch to a simpler one that Delight makes for her. Poppy is changing thanks to Angel's influence, slowly stopping to see most of the toys as just monsters, but victims just like her. She leaves the ribbons and intrincacies behind, as she has to survive, as she now really knows just how easy it is for her to be captured or hurt by others. Not that she didn't know that beforehand!
Dogday also receives a new lower torso, but no new legs. The lower torso was something Delight sewn together per Catnap's request. Dogday doesn't know about this just yet, but Catnap genuinely cares for him, with the new body part being a representation of that. I don't know if I'm going to throw him into another outfit or not for now, though!
Kissy is also going to get an outfit change thanks to Angel's influence on her: A gold ribbon she'll wrap around one of her arms so Poppy can more easily climb her when needed. Gold/bright yellow will be colors associated with the main found family for this AU!
Miss Delight will also change. Not by a whole lot, but Angel is going to wrap her around in a nice and cozy blanket so she won't get cold. The blanket covers her destroyed dress: Angel is influencing her to heal, even if not completely;
Speaking of which, Angel is like my own Barbie doll for this AU. They start out with a green jacket, giving it to Marie at the end of the chapter 2 arc, and then on chapter 3 they change to an old maintenance jacket. It's bright yellow, the color that symbolizes the found family as a whole to show that Angel is becoming an actual and real parent, and to also show that this guy is doing some maintenance work around Playcare, powering up generators and trying to help all the wounds the children left behind have. Angel is going to get a blanket made by the mini critters, dark blue in color, and it's a parallel to Nossa Senhora da Aparecida, a brazilian saint whose day (October 12th) is also called "children's day", aka when we give gifts to kids, like toys. The religious symbolism will become more apparent during the chapter 4 arc, when Angel has the final outfit change, being forced into a medical gown that parallels the outfits saints are painted wearing. This change is not of Angel's own choice, though!
