Strip Challenge: Round 1! (Stanford Pines x Reader)

You tease Ford a little as he models out an old outfit for you. He's largely confused by what you're asking of him but he indulges you anyway.

"Are you ready?" "For the dozenth time, yes, Ford!"

You giggled as Ford finally emerged from the closet, dressed in an old outfit—head to toe in shades of black and grey. For once, he was wearing something different, and you couldn’t help but stare. The man in question, feeling the weight of your gaze, shifted awkwardly, a bit shy.

“It’s... been quite a while since I’ve worn this. I’m surprised it still fits as well as it does.”

The scientist scratched the back of his neck as you approached him with a mischievous grin. There was something playful in your eyes, something brewing, and Ford could sense it. Yet, for the life of him, he couldn’t figure out what you were planning.

“It looks amazing on you~”

Ford’s pulse quickened as you slowly circled him, inspecting his outfit with a bit too much attention. The way your eyes roamed made him feel a tad self-conscious. Then, without warning, you reached for his hands, gently removing his gloves one by one.

Ford felt his breath hitch in his throat as the gloves slipped from his fingers and fell to the floor, forgotten. Then, without hesitation, you tugged him down for a kiss.

Heat rose to his cheeks as you caught him off guard, the warmth of your lips sending a shockwave through his system. Instinctively, he pulled you closer, his heart pounding as the soft, disarming kiss left him breathless. He was intoxicated by you, by the moment, the world around him disappearing as your playfulness filled the air between you.

Suddenly, the sound of something hitting the floor pulled him back. He blinked, still dazed from the kiss, only to see his goggles lying on the ground behind you. You had tossed them aside with a cheeky grin, leaving him even more flustered.

Ford raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing on his lips as he met your gaze, full of mischief.

“Just what are you planning, my dear?”

He asked, his voice low and curious, the spark of excitement unmistakable. Your grin only widened as you leaned in, fingers lightly trailing down his arm, sending a shiver through him.

“You’ll see~”

You purred, leaving him with a whirlwind of curiosity and anticipation, his pulse racing all over again.

⊗ superhero cartoons to watch when little!!! (or big, they're that good imo!!) ⊗

✧.* i've been wanting to make this list for a while now, mainly because i wanna talk about my fav cartoons/open up opportunities for other littles to find something awesome to watch!!! there's gonna be a lot of ranges in age ratings to add some variety for older/younger littles :)

✧.* also, i'd like to put a disclaimer here and say that a lot of these are on streaming services that i own, but other littles may not. i would also like to say that there are ways to get around a paywall if you can't afford certain streaming services!!! you can find full episodes on youtube/other sites for free!!! (just use an adblocker if you're on a site other than youtube if u can!!)

✧.* another disclaimer: any regressor of any age can watch any of these shows!! i just wanted to put the age ratings for those who want to stick to media that's more in their age range!! so, don't feel like you have to limit yourself from watching certain shows just because of how old you regress to!!

✧.* spectacular spider-man (2008-2009, 2 seasons): suitable for 7-8+, but i'd say it'd be okay for littles who regress younger to watch, too!! honestly, my all-time favorite spider-man cartoon!!! not only is it fun to watch while little, you can truly appreciate the show when you're big, too!!! josh keaton's voicework as spider-man is just- ahhhh it's so amazing imo!! the story is really good, the animation/style is just so iconic, and the colors are very easy on the eyes!!! (especially if you're sensitive to bright colors when little/in general) absolute banger of a theme song, too!!!

✧.* x-men: the animated series (1992-1997, 5 seasons): rated for around 7-8+, but i do admit that there can be some scary scenes for especially younger/more sensitive littles. honestly, this show is great!!! i loved all the different story arcs, how colorful the show is, the characters themselves- a lot of cool stuff about this show!!! be warned, there's a sudden drop in quality during season 5... i think they switched animation studios/va's or something because season 5 is NOT the best season of the show, i'll tell you that... 0_0

✧.* x-men '97 (2024-present, 1 season so far): rated for 14+, so this show is more suitable for teen regressors. it's a continuation of x-men:tas, and oh man... this is it. my favorite cartoon of all time!!! the animation is just oh so beautiful!!! the fight scenes are awesome!!! the soundtrack- oh golly the soundtrack!!! the remastered x-men:tas opening is just- wow!!! but, there's definitely reasons why it's rated 14+... not gonna spoil anything, but there's a lot of scenes in the show that can be upsetting for younger littles. trust me, watching some scenes when you're little is just- too much sometimes... (speaking from experience) it's an amazing show, but watch at ur own risk if you're a younger regressor!!!

✧.* batman: the animated series (1992-1995, 4 seasons): i'd say it's for around ages 9-10+, since it can be fairly dark at times. (same goes for a lot of batman related media!!) honestly, this show's pretty good!!! the style of the show is very dark visually, so it's easy on the eyes for those with bright color sensitivities!!! the artstyle itself is also very nice to look at!!! the voicework is amazing as well, especially kevin conroy's (rip) performance as batman himself!!! from what i can remember, the plotpoints were also pretty on-par!! i remember liking the show a lot when i was a kid!! :)

✧.* hulk vs. wolverine (not a show but an animated movie, 2009): this one's rated pg-13, since there's depictions of violence. but, i gotta say- this movie had me hyped up when i watched it as a kid!!! this was part of a straight to video two-movie collection, (the other being "hulk vs. thor") and i gotta say... this movie was awesome!!! the fight scenes were rad as heck, the animation was amazing, even deadpool was in the movie!!! (which, fun fact, was his first appearance in animation!!! other than the 2 second cameo in x-men:tas) very fun movie!!!

✧.* these are just some recommendations!!! i really liked these when i was a kid, and i hope you'll like them too, if you decide to watch them!!!

THE II S1 REMASTER IS OUT! Time to dump my thoughts!

The artstyle is fantastic! It feels a lot like the old one, but obviously far more polished. I love that they used stock music, too! However, Season 1's bad artstyle quite literally has a lore explanation now, so making it look better conflicts with that. I am going to assume that, with time, there's going to be some sort of given lore explanation about why there's a remaster, within the canon. But, of course, the real reason is probably because Season 1 is a bittersweet stain on the show. Silly and nostalgic, but there are still people who refuse to watch the show because of it (I know some people). Having a remaster will help make the show more appealing to newcomers.

I like the gags! They really scared me with MePhone's voice for a minute, but I like how they incorporated it. I especially enjoyed how well the voice actors copied the inflections that were originally used, with Balloon going "alright!" being the best example. It's silly, it's clunky, but in the charming way Season 1 was. Genuinely, I had a smile the whole time watching the episode, remembering when I first found this show in middle school, and seeing how far its come. I'm very excited to see where they take this, and knowing the next episode comes 4/1 is gonna have me on the edge of my seat.

Notable thing I wanted to mention: Justin isn't involved in this episode at all, or at least isn't listed in the credits. I'm not sure if there's an artistic reason behind this, or if this is in relation to the recent controversy (I will not be discussing it here), but either way, Olivia did a great job filling in the role of Knife! The difference was noticeable, but that's to be expected for a character who's had the same voice for all of his lifespan. And for an II character, that's an achievement! The voice work in this episode is great, in short.

Overall, I'm still a bit sceptical of how they're going to handle some of the edgier or poorly-aged aspects of the show, and again, how this makes sense within the lore. However, this seems like a very good start, and I'm glad I went into this without expectations. If the remaster ends up being really good, I might finally start begging people to watch II, and not have to warn them about certain things. Huzzah!

Hi!! I love your Kazekage Temari and Sunan Shikadai!! I know you said you are not thinking about making it a fic and I totally respect that, I just wanted to know if you have thought of other headcanons for this universe 💕 like for example if shikamaru and temari ever see each other and how do those moments go, shikadai's relationship with his mom and dad, or his dad's friends and family, in which sense shikadai thinks they still like each other (does shikamaru ever send temari gifts? Is it about the way they speak about each other?), if shinki exists or not.

Sorry if it's a very loaded question, I am just soo caught up with the lore ahah you can also don't answer if you aren't that invested in this alternative universe, i don't mind - i am just going to take this little space to say that I love your artstyle!!

Oh my gosh, ty for the lovely note! Not a loaded question at all-- I wanted to answer after I had somewhat finished the piece above. Here are some updates to the original headcanon with Shinki included: 

Following the events of Gaara Hiden, the Council are still disillusioned with Shikamaru and Temari being married, especially because Gaara and Kankuro do not have any kids or romantic prospects. 

Gaara takes in a young orphan boy named Shinki who demonstrates a great Iron Sand ability. The Council fears that Gaara is raising him to be the next heir, which is a problem because they don’t know who Shinki’s parents are.

Suna is very traditional and prefers that every leader have direct ancestry to the past Kazekages. 

The Council fears that Shinki is an omen to Suna’s future. 

(retcon) Shinki is a 2 years older than Shikadai, so he’s more adept at wielding chakra at this time.

The Council gives Gaara an ultimatum: (1) release Shinki from his care, get married, and produce a biological heir; or (2) step down from the Kazekage role. The Council gives Gaara three years to make a decision (I originally said five years, but I’m retconning it to three lol). Shikadai is 2 years old and Shinki is 4 years old at this time. 

Baki warns the siblings that the Council is planning a takeover, and to avoid this at all costs. 

Knowing Gaara will step down to protect Shinki, Temari returns to Sunagakure with Shikadai (5 years old) to prevent a takeover from the Council led by Ebizo and Tojuro. This appeases the Council and the public, because now they have a future biological heir living with them. 

Tired of the politics, Gaara eventually steps down. Temari assumes the Kazekage title with Kankuro as her second-in-command. 

Temari and Shikamaru divorce for the official record.

Shinki, Yodo, and Araya have their own team/clique. Shikadai joins them occasionally on missions, but he feels like an outsider. 

Do Temari and Shikamaru still like each other?

They do not talk at Kage Summits. It is a running joke that if they need to communicate on important matters, they will send notes through like twenty different people before it reaches the other. 

When they do talk about each other, they don’t say names. Instead, Shikamaru will say “How’s the tornado?” or “Did the cyclone die down, yet?” and Shikadai knows he is referring to his mother. Temari calls him “your idiot father.” 

On a few occasions, she’ll receive unmarked flowers, or a basket of chocolate and sweet chestnuts at her office. Shikadai suspects Shikamaru is sending her these items because few people know they are her favorite treats.

Shikamaru has an on-and-off again relationship with Shiho from the Cryptography unit. They go on a few dates but he’s not completely invested. 

People encourage Shira to ask out Temari; neither of them entertain this. 

On the surface, Shikadai pretends not to care. But the thought of his parents dating other people makes him viscerally sick.  

Shikadai’s relationship with Shikamaru (when he visits Konoha).

Thinks his dad is lazy, awkward and underwhelming.

Finds Shikamaru’s friends and neighbors annoying and overly-friendly, considering he didn’t grow up with them (e.g. Inojin, Chocho, Mirai, Boruto). 

He does like Yoshino as she coddles him in ways his mother doesn’t. Shikamaru complains that she is spoiling her grandson. 

Doesn’t know his father’s jutsus, but is very adept at planning strategies himself.

Is disappointed that Shikamaru allowed their family to be separated. Thinks his dad didn’t fight for them. But the truth is more complicated :(

They manage to bond over Shogi. But it always ends in a stalemate.

How do you recreate the Hetalia artstyle so well

ok so.. .uhhhhhhhhhh honestly i dont even know how. which is why i am obviously qualified to make YOU, yes you, the person reading this, a tutorial

i psoted an incomplete tutorial on the hetalia art style some few months back and when i look back at it now, some things are just straight up wrong or need clarification (also its the same post where i accidentally sent multiple death threats to a random sex worker thinking they were just a porn bot oopsies) so if you guys still remember that, forget about it! all of it!!! this is a brand new, more accurate guide on how to draw himas style!

(quick warning though im just a weeb not a professional teacher by any means so dont take this as gospel and dont get mad if i got something wrong or something is confusing)

ok lets start off with the

HEADS

this is just the way i start drawing my heads personally. if i had to describe it, its basically a simplified stylized version of the loomis head method. proko has a good video on it! just give that a quick watch then take a look at my step by step guide

but besides this, there are some important things about the head that you should remember

the shape of the head is generally rectangular

compared to more typical ikemen styles, hetalia characters have a more rectangular head. HOWEVER their chins taper off to a very triangular shape. rarely do the chins flatten out like the guy on the left.

2. shorter face = younger/more feminine appearance

well... self explanatory. you can see in the diagram how changing the length of the face gives a character a more feminine/childish look.

if you feel that something looks kind of off, feel free to change it, but if it looks okay then lets move onto facial features!!!

NOSES:

ok so this might seem a little weird but i like drawing the nose first. its right in the middle of the face and is generally the easiest to get right. it also kind of acts as a divider between the eyes, especially useful when you're drawing in a 3/4 angle

which kind of look something like that i guess.....

or that if you want something less extreme

anyways while hetalia noses are kind of inconsistent they generally have the shape of these three lines. feminine/childlike characters have a smaller and subtler nose though

noses also never face fully straight ahead, so when drawing a front view, the nose slightly faces right or left (tbh himas characters rarely face the camera head on, so id refrain from drawing frontal views altogether but thats just me)

anyways lets move on to my second favorite part of the hetalia art style

EYES:

the eyes are the most important part of himas style. if all else fails, you can always recognize the style by the eyes. luckily for you, the eyes really arent complicated compared to other anime styles :D here is how i do it:

(feminine and childlike characters have bigger eyes)

you have probably noticed this but the pupils hima draws now has a more squiggly teary-eyed look compared to the pupils he drew then...

i subcounciously do a mixture of the two because i got used to drawing the old type, but if you wanna draw the new type of pupils just take note of their squigly shape and that they have one dominant highlight in the upper-middle area. uhhh.. or if youre like me just draw the old eyes as if you have parkinson's

anyways heres a step by step guide

and some fun eye variations!!! you can try using variants if youd like to give an oc a more unique look (you can also try making your own variants too but be careful of straying too far from the style)

so now about the eyebrow and the eyelid.... uhhh the eyelid doesnt really have a consistent length so just draw it however. feminine and childlike characters have thinner eyebrows but even then eyebrows should never be drawn as just a single line

we are close to finishing the face!!! now we can move onto

MOUTHS:

if you know how to draw a typical anime mouth, then hima mouths is easy peasy!

for closed mouths just draw a curved line with two dark blots for the corners of the mouth

i think that giving them a shaky look makes them look more expressive

open mouths are just random blobs, dont close off the bottom though, and theys till have those dark blots at the corner of the mouth

now then i'll move onto the

EARS + CHEEKS:

i decided to combine these two since these are probably the easiest parts of the face

hima's ears are pretty round and don't really vary in shape. inside the ears though....

it isnt very consistent, so don't think too hard about "getting them right". above are some ear variations i drew from one of the latest chapters of the manga

the cheeks are just a bunch of lines that can appear fully, or only on one cheek, or don't appear at all. i think it depends on level of detail, angle, or the character's emotion

these lines do not appear on rendered pieces

also if a character feels especially displeased they will gain heavy eyebags

so yay! we're pretty much done with the face!! look forward next time to where i cover hair, the body, and other stuff idk... i'll link the other parts to each other when i complete them

In honor of the 11th anniversary of EAH, I thought of sharing a WIP from my current animation. However, I realized that I haven't posted it's older, original version from 2 years ago here on tumblr yet, which is weird considering how many times I've mentioned it in other posts, so it's here now!

In a way, the animation (old and current) is a reflection of how I've changed over the years. I made the first half (the part with simple eyes 😶) in my early highschool years, and I made the 2nd half (the part with regular eyes 👁👁) in the later highschool years. The artstyle wasn't consistent, but I enjoyed the process. From where this video ends, I was halfway done, and I probably could've finished if I kept up the pace. But that's not what happened.

I wasn't satisfied with how the vid was looking, especially because I wasn't doing proper lineart, but I didn't want to drop the project. Instead, I decided to work on Brooke's animation rig, which was meant to be in the EAH style, and I got the idea to make the whole project puppet-animated EAH style. My struggle with making Brooke should've been enough to warn me that was a poor idea, but I still spent a year trying to make that happen. I didn't get very far, and by the end of that year, I stopped working on the project.

Eventually, at the start of this year, I decided to pick it back up again with a new goal in mind. I wouldn't be lazy, but I'd also make sure to not spend too much effort to the point of burnout. I would animate using puppets, but it would be in my artstyle, not someone else's. I intend to get this done, and I can't wait to show you guys the final video! Also here's some bits of "development" (if you could call that) behind the animation.

This is my oc Allison in the 3 different versions of the EAH rig, each labeled accordingly.

This is the final base rig, which can turn a full 360 degrees and has decent expression capabilities. The only characters ever put onto this rig were Apple, Allison, and Brooke, because the amount of effort it took for each character's details was too much. Apple alone was a nightmare to rig because of all the layers in her hair, and expressions only worked from the front.

before i begin cloudsteps lore lemme rant about their UNIVERSE

so this whole weird alternate universe idea i had swirling in my head was supposed to be a complete joke and i wanted to make it as cringe as possible for like self expression purposes so laugh

basically in tnp the six or whatever died on their mission and like all the clans started dying out oof so then everyones kind of exploding and so somehow they get to the middle of switzerland (we’re all just like hey there were mice on a boat they got tempted but whatever the lore wasnt supposed to make sense) and they find a nice forest

so everyone sees some Fucking Puddle in a cave with 3 stars and they’re like “holy shit its a sign we should divide into 3 clans now!” so they divided into FireClan, StoneClan and MoonClan

me and my friends have a little lore for each but basically

fireclan is all the cats that are like heat resistant and their claws mildly burn you or smth theyre basically modern day shadowclan

moonclan is full of dumbasses. absolute dumbasses. something like that

stoneclan is just normal cats that have their shit together and know what they’re doing. quote on quote

enter stoneclan. there’s a cat named Lichentail. i hate him, i love him. probably my favorite other than like idfk a character that hasnt been introduced

backstory, lichentail’s mother is from moonclan, father from fireclan, and hes in stoneclan because he left as an apprentice i think i dont remember and im not asking the person who made lichtentail

now there’s also a cat in moonclan named Flareflare. we couldnt come up with a suffix for her so we jus named her flareflare. its okay because shes in the dumbass clan. but she was SUCH a dumbass and felt like SUCH an outcast that she walked her ass into the crystal cave and made a new clan called PineClan despite having no one else in the Clan. i dont know. our starclan was even worse than canon starclan.

so one day Stoneclan hears “holy shit, some dumbass started a clan” and the leader i forget his name goes up to Lichentail and is like “hey buddy can you find this flarey ahh and make sure she doesnt end the world and come back after like a moon or two” and lichentail is like “aight bet” and heads out into the middle of nowhere to find this actually red not orange pelted ragdoll fluffy ahh cat

so yeah a lot of shit happens and after a moon or two pineclan has more cats! i’ll skip past a lot but for now

lichentail joined pineclan (also he canonically eats cheetos with flarestar no ship) his role keeps switching from warrior to medicine cat to deputy and he sucks at all of them

some cats named crimsonpaw, lemonpaw, moonpaw, acornpaw, rosepaw and skypaw are in the clan now and their mentoring situations are a mess

moonpaw and acornpaw are slightly older than everyone else and also best friends

skypaw is the oldest

rosepaw is the youngest

crimsonpaw is flarestars child

cloudstep (well unnamed at the time) was born as a loner with their siblings (3) in the middle of nowhere. they’re a curious little shit so one day cloud asks younger sister torrentwind (also unnamed) “hey wanna explore” and torrent being a silly young fella is like “sure haha!!!” so they run off and soon realize they fucked up because uh oh theyre in the middle of nowhere and cant get home. so for about a week they traverse the landscapes until they roll down a hill towards pineclan territory and crimsonpaw finds them and spawns them into PineClan.

so yea. cloudpaw has an obbsession over leaves n stuff and is always trying to show the other apprentices the cool leaves they find! but no one cares because theyre just leaves!

so yeah. cloudpaw likes leaves, no one likes leaves (should mention theyre also trajning to be a medicine cat so idk what this was about) and lichentail the little shit isn’t being helpful at all.

so cloudpaw is stressed as hell and decides to become a warrior. stuff gets a little better, she graduates or something, no more lichentail. and she has friends i guess but still no one really likes leaves

so yeah. she starts spiralling. waking up in the morning is getting harder for them. they’re getting dreams of lichentail and silverrose, a terrible fate for flarestar. they have no one to truly call family in pineclan, just a few friends. every day. wake up, if you can. hunt something, why do i smell blood on the borders? ignore it. walk back. there was nothing there anyways.

rosefur(paw) is dead? that was the scent on the borders. cloudstep wished that they cared, why didn’t they? lichenstar is the leader? great. just great. and he hated them too.

it was a terrible desicion, she doesn’t remember what it was, but they snapped at lemoncane on patrol and ran back to camp before anyone saw the gash on her face and questioned what caused it. who’s fault truly was it anyways? what had gotten into her?

the next moon was empty. nothing. silence on patrols. silence in camp. silence watching the rivers flow. silence feeling like lichentail had snuck upon the borders without her knowing. silence from everyone, not just them.

and yet, it felt like the same silence they had heard all those moons ago. everyone is still in silence. but crimsonstar is still around… no. just silence. and she probably doesn’t like leaves anyways.

cloudstep forgot to smile when they turned towards crimsonstar that day. thankfully.

there was a good bush of deathberries outside of camp. she left. silence. silence, silence. maybe the silence would end in starclan. whatever.

and they fell to the floor.

starclan wasn’t terrible, for the most part. at least they could visit moonheart and flarestar now. but what’s this? crimsonstar at the crystal cave? wants her back? misses her? found them and cried?

but why?

flarestar looked at cloudstep. the rules never seemed to apply anyways. and this would be the one smart desicion that flarestar would make, whether it should have been possible or not.

a few minutes passed and cloudstep woke up next to the berry bush once again

and suprisingly, had a friend greeting them at their arrival. with tears.

applogies from both sides. cloudstep never felt like she was living in silence anymore. not nesecarily chaos, but things weren’t monotonous anymore at least. times changed and so did she. and for once, maybe they had found their place.
