Today I shadowed my mother as she was doing her job and it was nice to walk around the city again after being holed up in a suburban town for the last 3 months. We had lunch together and had a really long chat at the bakery for some afternoon tea.

My mom told me that she basically completed her goals in career, family and just life in general. It was really emotional to hear that because I know she has come a long way to get to where she is now. I hope I can make her proud in the future. Something that has always troubled me is the fact I can't make sustainable goals that I'm happy with. Maybe it's my indecisiveness or maybe it's my fear of commitment or my comfort of having choices. Hearing what my mom accomplished makes me so happy and determined about my future.

I accidentally woke up later than I had to and I ended up getting into class 30 minutes late which was super embarrassing! I'm just glad that my professor was chill. Plus I got my Spanish exam back which I got a 97! 😁

I helped out at a school event for advising which I met some cool people. My sociology class got cancelled so we had to do class work for homework which was annoying but it wasn't too bad.

It was such a nice day I spent the rest of the afternoon typing my assignment with the windows and curtains open!

Today was my first day back from spring break and it wasn't too bad! My first class at 9am got cancelled and because of some technical issues my sociology class ended an hour early. Plus, my soc professor gave back our exams she had written "excellent" on the top!💁‍♀️ I got ahead on my Spanish homework for this week so now I can work my other assignments as well as start studying for my anatomy exam which is in two weeks!

Here's an old spread from January.

Today I went back to the city to see my parents and I got brunch with my mom which was super nice. She ordered a lot of food since it was her way of welcoming me back from school. The food was delish of course! No complaints there! Did some laundry ya know and then I binged some Netflix shows. Hooray for Queer Eye Season 3! It's like a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Can't stop laughing and crying!

My exams weren't too bad today so I hope that's a good sign! I went to the gym TWICE this week so I'm basically a new person! I'm kinda thinking about going again for a third time.... Tonight, I went to see Jay Pharaoh's comedy show and he was hiiii-larious! I'm glad I went and laughed my head off during a really stressful week!

My internship started back on again which was annoying so it means that I need to carefully schedule any plans I have in the future so nothing conflicts. It wasn't bad, I met this super nice girl who I share so much in common with! I'm sad I didn't get to meet her earlier since we never crossed paths when we both worked. I got to know her better and she's chill!

I was suppose to go to the gym today but then I said nah. Which granted I know I could've done it but I used my friend as a justification as to not to go. My mistake! I'll go tomorrow!

I went to an advising event and it turns out that I completed almost all my required classes and my spring semester for next year may be empty. Which is my fear!! I really don't want to take a gap semester. I can't graduate early because my major is so structured that I have to be a senior in fall 2020. I'll be going to talk to my major advisor to see what I can do.

Today is the last day of Spring Break and I don't want to leave! I had to finish all my homework assignments which didn't take long and I had to answer some emails from students in the class I TA for. I got my grade back for my Sociology midterm and I did so well!!! I'm super happy all the hard work paid off! :))

Afterwards, I went to buy groceries for the week ahead and had dinner with the family before I said goodbye. Something to look forward to: my first class got canceled tomorrow so I can sleep one hour in!

Guess who is finally on Spring Break?! This gal! I finished my last midterm for the week this morning and it felt so ~good~ when I handed it in! The exam wasn't even that bad! I didn't study as much as I would have liked to but I still feel pretty confident about it!

Plus!!!! I went to the gym for the third time this week! I feel so motivated to go and I'm actually thinking about making a set schedule to go from now on. I'm already in too deep I can't stop now! Anyways, this is my second time going alone and it felt really good to focus on myself. Granted, there weren't many people there today because Spring Break started so I didn't feel too self conscious about myself. Take it step at a time!

Today was a really chill day. I slept in since I didn't have to be on campus till 2. As I was checking my emails in bed I got my Art History exam grades which I successfully aced! I finished two podcasts today during my commute and finished some assignments!

Wow! I can't believe I actually got to double digits with this productivity challenge! After failing twice I'm super glad I kept on sticking and keeping my motivation intact.

Today, I was suppose to tutor my cousin but it ended up falling through. As a result, I went to run some errands for my mother. I'm semi-glad that the tutoring fell through so I got to spend my day with my mom.

Today was Self Care Sunday and as I am typing this on my bed, I feel sooo relaxed. It wasn’t much of an academic productive day, but a self productive day ya know? I did my laundry, I completely redone my calendar blocking schedule, I created my ideal morning and night routines, planned out some meal ideas for the week, and even clean up around the house! Today was also the first time since the semester started that I put on a face mask. It felt so refreshing after taking it off! I did finish my Anatomy Lab assignment after putting it off long enough.

My uncle came by in the morning and brought donuts from Krispy Kreme! They were deeeelish! Today was a chill day. I had a long convo with my father and I learned about his first experience of filing taxes which was very interesting. And also.... have you heard Dean Lewis's new album? What do you think of it?

Today was such a rainy day. I hung out with my cousin and we went to the museum to do a photo walk. Then we went to a stationery shop which was a dream come true! I bought a pen that writes really smooth, a new washi tape and a pack of floral stickers!

My mom took me to a Greek restaurant nearby her work place and it was soooo good. I can't believe spring break is coming to a close! I don't want to leave :(

Today I went to tutor my cousin which went pretty smoothly. She definitely knows her stuff!

After tutoring we had to practice the piano and she kind of resisted by saying "I don't want to" cuz girl same!! What a mood! So we had a chat about how growing up comes with doing things we don't want to do. She practiced and we had a day full of fun!
