So, I can officially say, Gem is probably the most adaptive to the wildcard, it basically means nothing to her

Session one: basically stays default height the whole time

Session two: instantly figures out the eating thing and easily adapted whenever it randomized

Session three: one of four people who didn't die to their snail

Session four: instantly figures out that everything is going to be extremely fast by the end

Session five: one of the only two people who got no questions wrong

Session six: wasn't even her biggest problem, it was people, who also weren't really threats

Session seven: literally got watcher abilities and gathered useful information and to even kill her, it needed four attempts, an obsidian box, a teleporter, an obsessed with killing her Pearl, a red bigb to start it, and a beast boy green Scott to finish her since no one else would, which he then just says is "freeing her from the shackles of green" and Gem's first thought is "I get to kill so many people now!" Also, Gem still almost escaped before Scott took over, so if she were a bit faster with the water, she could have very well survived that too

Episode 8: Honestly, she did so well, and I've already talked about how well she handled the wildcards before, and considering this was just repeat wildcards, you get the point, I wish she won, but I'm glad someone in the family won at least, now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to exterminate an entire race of vexes

I was making addendums to this list two days after whenever each session uploaded so I could keep track of how well she handled everything so I would edit this from time to time, but obviously, the season has come to a close, so no more edits

i LOVE the idea that the events of secret life were a secret from even the watchers themselves and that gem was sent in as an undercover spy to maintain control but they ultimately couldn’t because they weren’t able to see what was happening outside of the area that held the secret keeper, so their only way to gain info was either at the end of each session when everyone met up to discuss their tasks or through gem, who they have open the portal to the end where martyn (who defied the watchers and won last season) instantly dies — and then lizzie dies and they’re furious because the curse is broken, and whether it be through suspending lizzie in the void, sending a warden and wither to kill jimmy or tasking gem with killing the whole server, all the following events of the series were a punishment sent by the watchers for undermining their control

Okay Hermitblr (and Trafficblr) hear me out, as much as I love all the watcher Grian stuff and it's canon as anything can we talk about how much evidence there is for Watcher!Gem?

She canonically dimension hops, she is a pvp master, and she has a unique quiet terror about her that puts off "don't fuck with me if you wanna live" while having the cheeriest smile ever

I could absolutely spin a tale of the watchers growing bored of the life series so throwing her down there and giving her plot armor is an amazing concept until like the last minute of the series where I swear Grian slipped them a note with the title "wouldn't it be funny if Scar"

I'm not saying this is Canon I'm just saying the fanon opportunities are there and y'all are sleeping on them.

Life series fanon species swaps i did for twitter!

I have this au with Saint Pearl and Watcher Grian both exist on Hermitcraft, but look human (they're disguised and stuff) and know eachother's identities. Pearl is —Well, was?— engaged to Gem in ESMP S1, but the Rapture happened and stuff, Pearl gets ascended to godhood and somehow appears on Hermitcraft. I don't know how though, same thing for Grian, don't know how.

So, it's like, Pearl keeps on getting nightmares about the Rapture and keeps comparing HC!Gem to Wizard Gem with confusion and conflict following it on both sides but they get a happy ending in the end.

In my mind, there's just like snippets of lore and moments. It never really... makes sense, y'know. It never does.

Scar cut out the part about the Shadow people and how they're "WATCHING" Him. I think Scar knows about the watchers and so, to not upset the watchers since his vods on youtube are watched more than the complete vods on twitch, he purposely cut out the part where he mentioned the Watchers. Scar, I'm on to you, I know you know about the watchers. And it's very, very interesting.

(Scar may or may not have also become part Watcher besides being a vex, but that's more headcannony.)
