Sometimes I forget how emotionally constipated/immature Zoro is as a character, and then we get panels like this
Tumblr media
that act as a stark reminder, that Zoro, for all of his strengths, is borderline incapable of processing any emotion (but especially emotion tied to a perceived failure or loss) in a healthy way.
Because while Zoro is a more stoic character, especially when compared to Luffy, being stoic does not equal not showing emotion, it just means being over all more reserved in reactions, or having the process of reacting to an emotional moment be internal rather than external. And this line from Zoro does not read as him being stoic, but rather as him lashing out over the perceived loss at Egghead, and directing that anger and pain at his captain who is reacting in an more outwardly emotional (and to be honest a more emotionally healthy) way. This does not come across to me a Zoro processing what happened in a more inward directed manner, but instead him being unable to process it (or unwilling to) and coping with that inability by being a bit of a dick.
And this isn't to say that I hate Zoro or think this is a bad character trait to have. The opposite really. I think it makes him all the more interesting, and also provides excellent contrast between him and Luffy. Because while it is fun to joke about Luffy and Zoro sharing a braincell, or being two halves of a whole idiot, they do have stark differences between them - emotional maturity (or lack there of on Zoro's part) being one of them. Luffy wears his heart on his sleave, is completely fine and capable of going through the process of acknowledging an emotion, allowing himself to feel the emotion, and allowing himself to cry if necessary, especially post-ts. Zoro, on the other hand, can't even admit out loud that Vegapunk dying was sad or could have any effect on the moral of the crew and his captain.
It honestly, in a strange way, reminds me of the way Luffy used to react to loss (losing his crew in Sabaody, losing Ace during Marineford). Because while the external reactions are vastly different - with Luffy crying and harming himself, and Zoro lashing out verbally - they both stem from the same thing. Denial. Luffy in those moments did not want to accept that his brother had died or that his crew was gone, and in this moment Zoro does not want to accept that they failed to rescue Vegapunk, or that he (in his own mind) failed to defeat Lucci. (But even when Luffy was struggling to accept the reality of losing his crew and brother, he was still allowing himself to feel, it just the way he went about expressing that emotion was actively harmful to himself - both mentally and physically. Zoro can't even seem to bring himself to express the emotions he's feeling, even in an unhealthy way.)
And while Luffy has grown and matured in this way, being able to process loss and the emotions that come with it in a healthier way, Zoro hasn't. At least, not yet. I'm not expecting him to be outwardly emotional like Luffy, but instead have him realize that allowing himself to feel emotions after loss does not make him weak or lesser of a person/fighter. I don't know if this is the direction Zoro will go as a character, but I personally think it would be interesting to see a more thorough break down of this aspect of Zoro, as it has been more heavily hinted at as of late.

*slowly rises from my coffin*
So Alfonse and Kiran right?
I was talking about this game the other day to the poor yet willing ears of friends (a very common occurrence bless them) and I finally managed to articulate what I found compelling about their dynamic. And I want to share these ideas with you all, because if I don’t I will explode. You understand.
As a refresher to previous ramblings about this game, Fire Emblem Heroes’ consistent theme across its characters seems to be loneliness. Everyone is haunted by what a lack or loss of companionship threatens to do them. On top of this, based on the characterization we receive from side materials and the tiny glimpses we get in-game, I believe Kiran has the capacity to be the core of a lot of these themes. An isekai protagonist suffering from being isekaied would be a gold mine for this idea. I deeply enjoy further extrapolating their character and giving my pitch for what this goofy tactician could be like if they were allowed to be an actual character outside of a self insert.
With all that in mind— oh no Alfonse and Kiran’s loneliness latch onto each other like glue.
Alfonse’s loneliness is a culmination of how he was raised, but funnily enough, it’s not immediately clear that this is the case. It’s both a little baffling and borderline amusing to see how much the abandonment of Zacharias affected him in book 1. It reads as a bit romantically coded for a reason. Not hard to assume that Alfonse took it so hard because of some unresolved pinning. Which I’m not going to even remotely deny isn’t the case, but it is intriguingly not the full answer.
In book 3 we meet Alfonse and Sharena’s parents and come to the understanding that oh! Oh no! Their childhood was not good! Having two stable parents did not alleviate them from the themes of loneliness. Their childhood was a very isolating experience and smothered by the extreme expectations that defined that household. An idea which is only reinforced by book 4, where as child, Sharena was lonely enough to want to leave reality entirely and escape to the realm of dreams. And depending on your read of it, she did. Needless to say that these two grew up lonely with a capital L. This means that Zacharias was potentially one of their first and only friends. Period. That recontextualizes how hurt they were when one day he just vanished for no attainable reason. As one of their only sources of connection, that would be traumatizing.
Now Alfonse in particular is someone who, once he is attached, cares so so deeply and is completely ride or die. It’s as if all the love that had nowhere to go for years finally comes out all at once. And, surprisingly, he knows that. He knows because he tries really hard NOT to be. Being that emotionally driven and vulnerable is something he is expected to grow out of if he wants to succeed as a ruler. So he tries to temper it with extreme practicality. Big emphasis on tries. After the loss of Zacharias, he logics out that if he can’t stop these strong feelings for those he cares for and ending up profoundly hurt at the inevitable loss, then he’s going to remove the problem from board. Entirely. No more bonds of friendship. Shoo. Go away. The isolation from before was better than this. He could control that, at least.
Enter Kiran, who sees that and says, “aight bet.”
Despite Alfonse’s best efforts, they end up hitting it off and becoming friends. Just instantly click. Two halves of the same braincell. Commander Anna was initially worried about how standoffish they were, but her worries were clearly misplaced. Now she is left trying to figure out what the hell her tactician and right hand man are even talking about as she struggles to pinpoint when exactly she lost control of this meeting. And this becomes a delightfully common occurrence. Alfonse has fully failed his attempts to keep them at arms length and Kiran has succeeded in kicking his walls down. They are now both deeply attached.
But this means Alfonse has a new problem. He’s gotta navigate two conflicting and volatile emotions— feeling increasingly awful for incidentally forcing Kiran into their given circumstances but DESPERATELY wanting them to stay. And I could theoretically come up with a more eloquent way of putting this, but I described the situation to my friends as having the same energy of the “hey can I try rizzing you up?” bit. But instead it’s “hey can I convince you stay in Askr as the Order’s tactician?”
“PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE—”
I find that this wonderfully communicates how much he genuinely really likes them. It’s honestly very sweet and very clearly mutual.
This then brings me to the fan favorite voice line, in which Alfonse says, “Promise that you’ll never leave us… without warning me first.” The line delivery emphasizes the duality of the previously stated feelings he’s working from. Alfonse wants to be clingy so so bad, but he respects Kiran’s autonomy and is willing to cast his fears to the side for their well being. Just… warn him, please? If that’s going to be the case? (Which he’s desperately hoping it isn’t.)
There is a deep irony to this situation. He’s not too aware of it yet, but lucky for him, Kiran isn’t going anywhere! But unfortunately that isn’t as great as it sounds.
See, Kiran’s loneliness is a different demon. As briefly touched on before, Kiran is facing the natural mental and emotional consequences of being isekaied to a new alien world. Their life just got entirely reset and that’s not the purely fun escapism that you desperately want it to be for them. It turns out culture shock has some serious hands! Hell, it’s almost funny. There’s this twinge of dread whenever they mention the world they left behind. They’re from our modern day, sure, but… maybe it was bad for them? It’s odd to wish for a tragic backstory on a character, but it would mean coming to Askr was better for them. That no one would miss them and they don’t have anyone to miss.
But that is not the case.
Kiran had family. Kiran had a life. Kiran had goals and dreams they wanted to accomplish that are truly no longer possible. They cannot go home and they’ve been dropped into an active war zone. And the only way to survive is to partake.
That’s all pretty bad, right? Absolutely awful? But… somehow it hasn’t been. Sort of. Not fully. Of course some of it is, however, our other protagonists put massive effort to ensure that Kiran is as happy and comfortable as they can possibly manage. And then some! Commander Anna, even upon realizing that this supposed savior was just a scared civilian with no combat experience, gave them shelter, food, and a job. Instantly. Without question. She didn’t even know them! That’s not something they take for granted. Hell, if they think too hard about it, they might start crying. Because that’s genuinely so fucking nice! She took what should have been the worst day of their life and turned it into the start of something new.
And that’s just Anna. All of them did this! Even Alfonse, who despite his clear issues, made an active effort to ensure they were alright. It was not as almost aggressively friendly as Sharena or as surprisingly giving as Anna. No, it was a bit more subtle. He would observe, inadvertently find them struggling with something, and then offer his services. Even if it was for something Kiran might not have been bold enough to ask about. Because Kiran is not going to pull Anna away from her work to help them find a modern map in a library. That feels rude! Or at least intrusive! Instead they’re going to struggle in the corner until they figure out how Askr dates things. Or not apparently, because Alfonse spends a lot of time in the library and has noticed their visible distress. He comes in for the rescue and fails to suppress a smile at Kiran’s dumb “aw my hero!” pun.
You can begin to see why Kiran called bullshit on Alfonse’s no friends deal.
All of this has had a funny little consequence on our silly little summoner. Kiran deeply mourns the loss of their home. They might not show it, but they do. However, thanks to the massive support of their friends, they start making a life for themself here. A new home, with some of the nicest people they’ve ever met, in the most beautiful place they’ve ever been, and in a way that means the world to them.
A home that they are going to defend fiercely, because they know damn well that they don’t have it in them to start from scratch again.
No one embodies this desire more for them than Prince Alfonse. He becomes the emotional center of it. A home in Askr doesn’t exist without him in their life. So no, Kiran is not leaving. Kiran is dying in Askr— dying for HIM more often than not. When we look upon the breidablik Líf carries, we stare in quiet horrified knowing. Alfonse did not active the blood rite. It was not his blood spilled on the altar. It was not his heart beating until no one was left. It was theirs. They couldn’t do it again. Kiran took the only out. And when Líf stares at the summoner with mourning and vitriol, we know why.
Clearly, the way their loneliness comes together can and has been played for emotionally devastating consequences. This intimate relationship is born from this deeply personal and less than perfect part of themselves. Yet, somehow, we get to see the version of this relationship that prevails against all odds. Where they inspire each other to be better and lessen the burden of the loneliness that threatens to undo them. And damnit that gets me.
TLDR; they should explore each other’s bodies sometime and be locked in the world’s slowest slow burn. Thank you and good night!

Dungeon Meshi Chapter 86
The final battle is upon us. Who will decide what's for dinner tonight?
Tumblr media
As with all moments like this, Izutsumi is part of these group therapy sessions against her will.
Tumblr media
Amazing transition back to reality. It's the exact same image with a different background.
Tumblr media
I still feel like the lion is lying about who it can or must serve. Marcille currently desires to fix her mistakes and stop the monsters she summoned, but that goes against what the lion wants from her. So it's instead choosing to ignore that in favor of fulfilling a more base desire for safety from a presumed threat.
This fakeout really got me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Laios's arm seems to be in a bit of pain after that. Since his hand had to get put into the seal as well, its effects are probably creeping up his arm.
Tumblr media
Again, I think the lion lies when it talks about how it serves its master. It's been manipulating Marcille to make her desire what will make her use the lion's power for the lion's aims. Looks like sealing the demon gives the dungeon lord a way to channel the lion's power exactly the way you want without it being able to manipulate anything.
On a side note, when Thistle and Mithrun became dungeon lords, their demons were small and grew larger over time. The lion was already big when Marcille became a lord. I'm curious if part of what caused Marcille to immediately spiral was because the lion was already strong. Maybe it took Mithrun and Thistle a few years to get to Marcille's point because their demons had to build up strength.
Laios and Marcille are two halves of the same person. They share 20 brain cells collectively, but the actual range of braincells either of them has at a given moment ranges from 15 to -5. And when one of them becomes a super genius, the other becomes muppet-brained. The only difference between them is Laios loves acting like a muppet while Marcille doesn't.
I've missed Marcille's muppet-brained moments so much. For all her intelligence, she's also the last one to realize things.
Tumblr media
Namari had complete faith in Laios.
Tumblr media
Last we saw of Fleki, her familiar was being torn apart by wyverns so she probably had to be killed and resurrected again.
Tumblr media
I saw this panel of Flamela stepping on a walking mushroom and tried to come up with a silly pun about her turning a toadstool into a footstool. But toadstools refer to inedible or poisonous mushrooms and this type is most likely edible so it isn't a toadstool. And footstools are foot supports to lift your feet while sitting and Flamela is not doing anything like that nor is she using it like that. Pretend that I made a funny mushroom pun that is lexiconically correct and laugh at this image of Flamela stepping on a walking mushroom while yelling into her fairy.
Tumblr media
Flamela isn't even nice to her fairy.
The island is getting restructured into a dungeon's maze-like design.
Tumblr media
The soldiers are fighting what I believe are small wyrms.
Tumblr media
Laios's father is watching and waiting. Falin still writes to her parents so he knows his children are at ground zero of all this.
Tumblr media
Flamela is not giving the party much reason to want to work with the Canaries here. And this is ignoring how the situation was heavily due to the Canaries withholding information and assaulting the party to begin.
Tumblr media
If you spin a magnet fast enough, it's possible to make it levitate above another magnet. For years, it was believed impossible to actually make a magnet levitate over another and Earnshaw's theorem proved that it's not possible for a static magnet to float above another one without it either getting flipped or pushed away. But then someone decided to try spinning the magnet in place and it turns out that the rotation of the magnet counters the forces that would normally push or flip the magnet, causing it to float.
Anyway, that story popped into my head at this moment. Laios is suggesting they do something that no one has ever done and everyone knows cannot be done. But Laios is both ignorant of everything and he doesn't think in conventional ways. So he could achieve the impossible because he'll come up with ideas no one considered.
Tumblr media
Everyone else thinks of the demons in terms of man-eating monsters or forces of nature. But Laios is thinking of the demon more like if it was a person with its own goals it wants to accomplish.
Finally. Someone is actually going to listen to Laios.
Tumblr media
Based on the reactions of Flamela's teammates, it's not uncommon for Mithrun to teleport people away when he's annoyed with them.
Mithrun at least understands the situation. The world is doomed whether or not Laios actually has a way to beat the demon. So they might as well let him try. Mithrun's eye turned silver as he told Laios to do what he couldn't.
Tumblr media
New idea to the lion and how it decides to grant wishes: When it's unsealed and has a lord, it binds itself to that lord. But when it gets sealed, it can more freely respond to anyone's desires.
The lion should be sealed in Thistle's book, but it appeared before everyone in response to Laios's desire to defeat it. And then it waited a moment so Laios could demand he share a meal with everyone if he wins.
Tumblr media
Some walking mushrooms fell off the lion construct.
Tumblr media
The tower wasn't attached to anything. It was just a tower floating over the water.
Tumblr media
Well that was an anticlimactic end to this series. Oh well. It was an enjoyable read the whole way through. Thanks for following my readthrough everyone.
Tumblr media
I'm with Kabru. There's something horrible about the end of the world feeling like a bad joke.
Tumblr media
Wait, I got it!! Flamela turned the walking mushroom into a stepping stool!!

SpecReqs 2024
OK, so I was very busy and tired this year, and I wrote five fics for SpecReqs last year, so I, uh. decided to write six fics for @spectre-requisitions-exchange this year. Don't look too hard at that math.
First up, the actual assignment! let's blow this (human) popsicle stand for @depressed-sock (thanks to Ferus for the title). I was compelled by the idea of writing ME3 Multiplayer characters per their prompt - I've sunk so many hours into that gamemode - so I set up some OCs, a heist, and a story set on Illium in the background of the Reaper War, where there's just so much space to play.
Second up, the pinch hit! From: Ashley (Ashley/Female Shepard) for @kesla. I signed up for the pinch hit around two days before the deadline, and was casting around for a story structure that packed a full-sized punch in the not-so-many words that I had the time to write. And then I thought - well, I've always loved epistolary works, but I've never had the courage to write one. So, why not? If you liked this fic/Shepley epistolary be sure to check out Connection Lost by kesla - we truly had the same braincell on this one!
And now, to the treats. Firstly, twilight (Female Shepard/Samara) and dawn (CloneShepard/Morinth). Companion fics - designed to be readable alone but better together - showing two halves of the same story. There was something about Cloneshep/Morinth as a parallel to Shep/Samara that really dug its claws into me this year. Replacements doomed to fail by the narrative, women letting their duty take everything from them vs women clawing their way to anything of their own, and I'm glad I got the chance to write these!
Second, the meaning of safe (Ashley/Liara) for celeme. I set it in that period between ME1 and ME2 where Liara's changing as a person, and Ashley's growing into herself. I can't believe Liara wouldn't reach out - she really does need loyal help on her quest. So I wrote it! There's so much potential to this ship. I'm excited to try again next year.
And finally, Vignette #14 in C Minor (Sloane/Aria) for @thedaselcor. I didn't write a full fic for this one, but I was so compelled by their prompt I felt the need to do something - Sloane/Aria is really a genius pairing idea. Plus, I wanted to thank them for the code snippet that helped me add the attachment in From:Ashley.
See you all next year!

My love my love,
Where do I even begin?
When you first messaged me all those months ago, I never could have imagined how important you would become to me. You have taught me so much about myself and about the world. We have gone through the highest highs and the lowest of lows. But one thing has not changed, we have each other's backs.
Thank you for all the yap sessions, the ideas we've shared, the world's we've created, and the power you've instilled in me.
Don't know what I'd do without you.
We're truly two halves of one whole idiot 🖤
All My Love,
Emmie.
My darling!
When I first messaged you I was looking for a friend, but even in my wildest dreams I could not have expected the comfort, love, support, and genuine care I would find in your friendship. You are truly one of the most important people in my life and I can't even imagine what my day to day would look like without you. All I know is that it would lack the brightness your radiant soul provides.
I will never be able to thank you enough for all that you've taught me, the support you have given me, and the acceptance you have made me feel. Words can not describe how much I treasure you.
Our yap sessions will always make me smile no matter what, our ideas and worlds have inspired me like nothing else, and the only reason I've been able to instill any power in you is because you've instilled it in me first.
I don't know what I did to deserve you but I hope I can keep doing it forever.
You can be in charge of the braincell for the rest of the night.
I love you.
💚

Which ttte pairings do you like the most?
Well, Edward and Toby are definitely my favorite of course. 😏 I don't really see any content with the two of them that much so I'm here to fix that! Ok, but in all seriousness though. It would have such a pairing with lots of potential like Toby slowly becoming more confident and Edward morphing into his more calmer personality (He's still grumpy and impatient lol) as the two interact.
I also really like Edward and Gordon. Basically, it's the dysfunctional brothers relationship. Edward's the gremlin youngin while Gordon is barely hanging on to his last strand of sanity. I like to imagine that Gordon drags Edward by grabbing his shirt collar or restraining him so that he doesn't kill somebody lol. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Something like this or dunno:
Tumblr media
Percy and Mavis are the two siblings that have weird interests and they're the only people who understand each other. Mavis likes alt/goth culture while Percy likes weirdcore/creepy shit. Basically, they're the chill older siblings. Also, you can't forget about Percy's, Phillip's and Pluto's dynamic. They're called the Three Ps for a reason. 🅿️🅿️🅿️
Toby and Henrietta are just the classic "girlboss and malewife" pairing. They're just made for each other, DID YOU NOT SEE HASTY HANNAH?!? These two are married for sure. 💝💝💝💝💝
Some other pairings that I like/love:
Thomas and Percy. They're not "best friends" in my eyes but more like "We both roast each other but we still care" Definitely a reverse of "Thomas' the smart one and Percy's the dumb one". Percy is the only one with more than 1 braincell.
Edward and James. I used to ship these two together until the oversaturation of this ship and the fandom kinda ruining it made me stop shipping this pairing. I imagine them as ex fiancés who thankfully broke up for the good of both of them because the relationship started becoming pretty toxic. They're now like brothers although in some cases, it becomes awkward when somebody brings up their past relationship.
Henry and Hiro: It's really sweet to the point where all of my teeth are rotting because both of them understand each other and still help the other with their problems despite conflicts that happen. Why isn't this ship more popular than it already is???
Edward, Duck and Diesel: Yeah..... This is just the manifestation of chaos itself. 😂😂😂😂 Duck and Diesel are both halves of a whole dumbass while Edward is unsuccessfully trying to stop the two of them from killing each other.
I got a ton more pairings that I would LOVE to talk about, but I don't want to make this extremely long so that's it for now!

@mxrtified777 omg our braincells really did Bluetooth connect on the Ryou and Necrofear because this is from my fic Philosophy of a Knife during a scene where Bakura teaches Ryou shadow magic... Great minds think alike
Ryou inclined forward, just enough to show he was ready for whatever was to come. “What are we starting with?”
Let’s start by finding your ka.
 “ Ka ?”
Think of it like your soul monster. Watch this.
Bakura levelled his hand against his shoulder, and before Ryou even had a chance to blink, a snake the colour of porcelain had wound its way around Bakura’s arm, slithering over the shadow of blue veins and scars that matched Ryou’s own.
This is my Diabound. This isn’t its full form, but for these purposes, it’ll do.
Diabound coiled over the scar on Bakura’s Ryou’s their wrist, constricting, and Ryou only watched as it did so. Bakura and Diabound felt so far away, even though the only thing separating them was a few metres of floorboards. “And I have one of those too?”
Everyone does. You just have to learn to channel your ba.
Ryou looked back at Bakura with an expression on his face that beckoned him to continue.
Ba is your life energy. Put your hand over the Ring, feel it channel through you. Then force it outwards.
He tried to follow Bakura’s instructions, but couldn’t quite connect them with what, exactly, he was supposed to do. His eyes lilted shut while the pads of his fingers brushed the Ring’s eye, and he could feel it thrum through the cavernous thing sitting in his chest, making him whole, but it wasn’t enough.
 “...I can’t do it.”
 Then try harder.
Ryou grit his teeth hard enough that he worried they’d snap. “How!?”
You feel that thing in your chest? How the Ring completes you?
He nodded, albeit gingerly, watching Diabound slither from one of Bakura’s biceps to the next.
Focus your energy on it. That’s your ba. Everyone has it, even you.
He’d try again, if it meant learning the intricacies of shadow magic; now that Bakura had agreed to teach him, he knew he wanted this. The hand resting over the Ring began to grip it tighter, then tighter still, feeling that wholeness like an extension of his body, until his closed eyelids tightened once more and he focused, focus focus focus focus. You can do this. You can make it happen, Ryou.
And then he could feel something separate from his body, that feeling of being full now splitting into something fragmented and lost, but still, like he existed outside of himself, like one had become two, two halves that made up that whole.
I knew all you had to do was try harder.
When Ryou’s eyes fluttered open, shock settled on him like a second skin—Dark Necrofear stared down at him with her unseeing gaze, those black irises filled with nothing but a synergy of hate and devotion. This was it. She was his ka.
You always did have a connection to that card, didn’t you?
Ryou got to his feet, then waved a hand in front of her, just to see if she would react; she did, bowing her head, that torn-up doll still held between her hands. “Can she speak?”
Dark Necrofear didn’t seem to respond to much else, beyond the occasional twist of her head from side to side. Still, Ryou had another idea, however stupid it may be.
His hand drifted back to the Ring—the channelling Bakura had mentioned was becoming easier. He was figuring it out, slowly but surely, and through their connection, he tried to send a message to his ka the same way he would have sent one to Bakura.
Bow to me.
It was as if he was splintering off a fragment of himself, sending it from his own body to the other piece of it that stood across the room. That much, Dark Necrofear seemed to understand; she descended to one knee and dipped her head downwards in a fragile display of loyalty.
Ryou reached out and ran his hand along her cheek, just to confirm that she was real; the skin below his fingertips was smooth and warm to the touch, making his body erupt in a shudder that only intensified when she looked back up at him.
Mother. She looked just like her, those same, soft features just barely distorted from his vague, foggy memories. Full lips, blushing cheeks against her azure skin—even if she said nothing, he was certain it was her, in a twisted sort of way.
Mother.
Mother.
Mother —
And if that was her, that baby must be…
Ryou was distantly aware that he was falling, and even more so that there were tears in his eyes. Before he knew it, he had collapsed, eyes and mouth half-open, and his awareness didn’t return until Bakura stood over him, Diabound now gone.
Was that too much for you?
“N-no… she just looked like—” Lifting himself from the floor, Ryou stopped the thought in its tracks and shook his head as if to ream his ruminations out. Dark Necrofear was gone as well, as if she’d never been there in the first place. “I want to keep going.”

“I swear there’s something illegal going on there but no one believes me! Doesn’t help that I don’t have any proof to prove them wrong,” you sighed, sitting back in your chair at the dining table in the fire hall, your arms crossed over your chest.
“You are absolutely insane for spying on your neighbours, you know that, right?” Eddie asked and you rolled your eyes.
“Come on Eddie, if you saw what I saw, you’d be snooping.”
“Which was what exactly?” Buck asked as he joined you.
“She says she has an Etsy store, but people only ever come and buy stuff from her in the dead of night.”
“So like 10:30 for you?” Hen teased and you lightly shoved her.
“No like 3 am, I’m not joking,” you said. “And I found her instagram and that girl is living well beyond her means for a retail worker who has an Etsy shop on the side. I’m talking about vacations every other month, she bought a Mercedes recently, something is up for sure.”
“I agree,” Bobby jumped into the conversation.
“Thank you! Finally someone with some common sense,” you exclaimed. “Now if only I could figure out what the hell she’s up to.”
“You need to stake her place out,” Bobby said simply.
“You say that as if you’ve done it before, Cap,” Chimney chuckled.
“Maybe once or twice off the record, but with good reason and my hunches were right.”
“What do I have to pay you to come over tonight and help me figure this out?” you laughed, but the whole team knew you were being dead serious.
“Just a cup of coffee, I’ll come over at 11,” he smiled and you clapped your hands together victoriously.
“5 bucks says this is gonna blow up in your faces,” Eddie took out his wallet and put the cash on the table.
“I’ll take that action,” Hen nodded. “I’ve seen Bobby do his thing, there’s a slight chance this could go right.”
“Thanks for the vote of confidence Hen,” you said sarcastically. “Jokes on all of you, this is gonna go great.”
After your shift was over you headed home and ate something for dinner before napping for a few hours so you could manage to stay up late that night.
Your alarm went off just ten minutes before Bobby arrived and you had a pot of coffee hot and ready when he came inside.
“So where does this neighbour of yours live?” he asked.
“She’s the apartment directly across the hall,” you pointed. “If you look through the peephole you can see, that’s how I’ve been doing most of my spying.”
“Alright, we can use that and since you’re on the first floor if the opportunity presents itself, maybe we can see if there’s any clues from the window.”
“Man, I didn’t even think of that,” you chuckled. “Oh this is gonna be so fun.”
You poured Bobby a cup of coffee and you waited eagerly for one of your neighbour’s customers to show up. After a while, no one had come and your neighbour had left the house a while ago so Bobby suggested to get a look through the window.
“We’ve gotta be quiet though, I’m not the only snoopy neighbour, if someone sees me they’ll call the cops for sure,” you noted, grabbing Bobby’s hand and leading him out of the building and to the rear where you could peek in through the windows.
Some of the blinds were drawn and others were open so you got looks where you could, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
“This can’t be it,” you shook your head.
“I know, somethings not sitting right with me,” Bobby agreed, there had to be something you weren’t seeing.
You leaned against one of the windows in defeat and looked over at Bobby in shock when it shifted. You exchanged knowing glances, no one would find out about this part.
Since you knew the neighbours better, you stayed on lookout to make sure you didn’t get caught while Bobby carefully climbed inside and searched for clues.
He took a few photos here and there so they could go over them later, but what he was really looking for was what she could possibly be selling that was making her so much money.
On the table he found a date book and quickly flipped through it, finding some potentially useful information on the sales, but before he could do anything about it, he heard your voice quietly, but urgently exclaim,
“Shit! She’s back! Bobby you’ve gotta get the hell outta there, but just as he was going to climb out the window you saw something that told you he should wait a moment. So you hid behind a bush and waited for another neighbour to go inside before practically grabbing Bobby and pulling him out of her apartment and closing the open window.
You both ran inside and you fumbled for your keys as your heard footsteps coming closer. Honestly, you thought it looked pretty incriminating, but it was possible the adrenaline was getting in the way of your better judgment.
The footsteps became even louder and for some reason your keys were not in your pocket, so in a desperate attempt to save face you looked Bobby dead in the eye and said,
“Kiss me.”
“What?” he quietly exclaimed like he hadn’t heard you correctly the first time.
“Just trust me Bobby! Kiss me!”
Just as he took your face in his hands and he pulled you towards him you wrapped your arms around his neck and his lips came crashing down on yours. You kissed feverishly as your neighbour came past you and to her door, only breaking apart to nervously chuckle as you made eye contact with her.
“Tinder am I right?” you shrugged and she smiled knowingly before nodding and giving you a thumbs up of approval before going inside her place.
“Tinder? Really?” Bobby asked.
“It was the only thing I could think of!” you slapped a hand to your forehead and shook your head.
“Just like kissing me was the only thing you could come up with?” he asked with a raised brow.
You finally found your keys, unlocking the door and letting Bobby go inside before you.
“Okay, maybe the adrenaline got my wires crossed,” you admitted. “But I could say the same for you Captain Nash, you really committed to the bit for that kiss.”
“Well,” he coughed nervously and rubbed the back of his neck. “Maybe my wires were crossed too.”
“Maybe we should cross them again,” you suggested, coming a little closer, “And never tell anyone about what happened tonight, like ever.”
“I can live with that,” he agreed, wrapping his arms around your waist and pressing another kiss to your lips.
At the end of the day, both of you knew there was no one else you’d rather commit a felony with, and really, what more could you want in life than a partner in crime.

Just finished watching 3rd Life!!!! I was a bit busy so I couldn't do it as quickly as I wanted to but I made it.
I watched Grian's pov as you suggested and holy fuck was that a ride. I have Thoughts.
Grian and Scar. Scar and Grian. Those two shared a braincell and Grian had it for most of the series.
Grian I think had the most kills out of anyone by the end of it??? Guy really thought he could use Scar as an excuse to satiate his bloodlust without losing any lives. He was 100% correct.
Scar had a lot of kills too, didn't he? Especially in the Dogwarts war. Even if he is the goofy boss to Grian's competent right-hand man, it was nice to see him get down to business as well.
"Your Honor, he pleads /j."
I'm focusing a lot on Scar and Grian here, but I would also like to give a shoutout to Jimmy for being the first person out. From what I hear it's pretty on-brand for him and it makes me think Scott was his Grian. For a second I thought it was Cleo tho.
The Battle of the Red Desert was painful to watch lmfao.... Scar pulled the lever, Grian. Wrong time tho.
Can't be good at building without being good at demolition. Grian really likes TNT, doesn't he. Just pray he never improves at redstone, I think it's best his traps stay broken.
I learned from a comment section that Impulse was killed for a clock that belonged to him in the first place. Rough going, buddy.
Scar's second death had me wheezing.... that's how you know he had some sort of plot armor on, no matter what Grian might say, cuz no way in hell did that guy become the first red name and stay alive for 2nd place.
That was the most Canadian fistfight I ever did see. Scar's muscles did not help.
Grian I see is associated with a bird sometimes? I don't know the reason for that but I find it interesting considering he killed himself by jumping off a cliff.
All in all....... yeah I really liked it!!! I have only watched Grian's pov tho, so if you recommend checking out any other POVs, I could do so. Not sure if I'll be able to watch any of the other Life seasons soon, as I might start dipping into, y'know, Hermitcraft/Empires (thanks to you, really!), but we'll see.
This was long. Yeah. Uhhhh Wings of Fire: A Guide To The Dragon World is coming out October I think I read the excerpt I'm excited ok bye-
nice! glad to see you again :D.
desert duo my beloved. absolutely they are two halves of a whole idiot. grian is the designated braincell holder.
grian kills and maims and we love him for it. i love his maniacal laugh whenever he gets a good kill. like a cartoon villain.
scar is goofy and silly and also bloodthirsty. he's so much fun. he can go from himbo to terrifying red life so fast.
yup, very on brand. poor jimmy. scott is kind of his grian? he's definitely the green to his red, and smart to his stupid, but their vibes are pretty different from grian and scar. they're husbands rather than boss and right hand.
i cannot physically express how disappointed i was when the explosion didn't kill anyone.
the real best duo, grian and tnt.
impulse's death... oh i feel so bad for him. you could hear him starting to say bdubs' name as he died. i had to stare at the wall for like five minutes after that scene.
the only reason scar lasted so long was because of grian. if they hadn't teamed up, he would have died much quicker lmao.
oh the fist fight. oh the cactus ring. oh god.
grian is usually depicted as a parrot hybrid. i'm not sure why, i think it started as a hermitcraft fandom thing that bled into his other stuff. people often fannonized as birds falling to death is one of my favorite things. i can't get enough of it.
if you want to watch more povs, i would recommend martyn or scott. martyn's is good if you want to understand the dogwarts side of things, and scott's is just one of my favorites.
i haven't watched any hermitcraft myself, but i plan to one of these days. empires is one of my favorite smps, and really what got me back into mcyt. if you ever do get around to watching the other life series, i think you'd enjoy them!
i'm also very excited for the guidebook! i haven't read the excerpt though.

Spoilers for Obi-Wan Kenobi Part V
So last week i had two people to scream at bit now I’m back to shouting at the internet instead.
I’ve seen, uh, not exactly spoilers but hints and inside jokes because i went on tumblr a bunch of times today forgetting it was Wednesday and i have high hopes for this one
Recap
Oh yeah Obi-Wan and Leia were both pretty badass in the last one, trench-coat incident notwithstanding
STOP SAYING HE'S AN OLD MAN OH MY GOD I CHECKED LAST WEEK HE'S ONLY 48
Titlecard
ARE WE IN CORUSCANT
WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT
HELLO DARLING
AH
SHUT UP THAT'S FLIRTING
Karen Miller was on that balcony in spirit
See, Vader’s blowing hard just thinking about it
Mhm I’ve fought GoH battles on that bridge
Vader: onto more important matters: where’s my boyfriend
“Kneel.”
Kinky.
Ew. Grand Inquisitor, really?
Field trip to Jabiim let’s go
Haja!
Why didn’t they drop her to Alderaan before. I could probably answer that but i would need to go to my maps and, oh, fuck it
Tumblr media
Yeah so it would have not taken much more time to drop Leia first but idk maybe it would be harder to travel through the Core worlds with the increased imperial presence… like, checkpoints on the lanes and pitstop planets
How long can they travel without stopping anyway?
Vader staring into hyperspace is… something. Idk what but it gives me feelings okay.
I’m just like him when i go to new planets in Borderlands 3 i stand i front of the ship and wait for the reveal.
Why is it all so dark on Jabiim i can’t see shit
That second hand lightsaber stand
“It’s not her, it’s Vader.”
Why are they like this. I mean. He’s not wrong but still.
“He’ll attack next. He hasn’t the patience for a siege.”
why is this so funny to me
“How do you know?”
*flashback to Wild Space*
Oh it’s a little bit weird to see them both with blue lightsabers and i watched some Clone Wars a few days ago.
Man that haircut. I know people who must have wept with joy from seeing the return of Wolfman Kenobi.
That back to back.
“Mercy doesn’t defeat an enemy, master.”
Oh Hayden, I’ve missed you so
“Which is why you’re gonna lose.”
I feel like I’ve written a scene just like this.
God we’re only eight minutes in.
I paused on a really pretty shot of the destroyer right in front of Jabiim i wish i could take a screenshot so bad rn
I’m such a fucking nerd i see a pretty planet and a couple fighters and i want to cry
Ooh, this feels very Last Jedi suddenly. Without the salt and the foxes.
Why? Are they blowing up the door when they apparently can lock down the place? How could they lock it down? What the fuck are they doing.
“I’m going to need a ladder.”
Oh right, it’s Lola. Already forgot.
Yeah so they couldn’t ask Lola to keep the front door open?
Why is it so dark?
Bail mail!
“We’re in trouble.”
No shit. What were we even doing checking our emails and spilling our backstory when the Empire is right at the front door
Here comes the Negotiator!
“Lord Vader will have you at any cost.”
“You mean Anakin.”
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HE GOT HER NUMBER
that’s beautiful payback for episode 2
“I was too weak.”
“They were the only family I knew. And he slaughtered them.”
“You’re not helping him are you? You’re hunting him.”
Well.
“Let me help you.”
“Why would i trust you.”
“Because we want the same thing.”
“Do you, Obi-Wan? Do you really want Anakin dead?”
Girl heard the stories you know. Two halves of a same warrior and all that. Damn, maybe she even spotted the Open Circle insignia on one of the thousands warships you put it on. Who knows.
“Where were you? When he was killing my friends?”
NOT WITH HIM AND THAT'S WHY WE HAVE THIS PROBLEM. He went to Utapau and took Anakin’s single braincell with him.
Hey no not the mute droid
I swear those two motherfuckers have been having a… Force bond discussion of a sort since Obi-Wan has been aware of Anakin being alive.
“Tell her to stand down. Kenobi is already ours.”
What was i saying?!
Tumblr media
“There’s no way out, Master.”
Yeah this is not a memory i think. That’s mental battle.
Oh no his face when he says
“Admit you are beaten.”
That’s unfair man.
Who wrote this show? I have no idea. Anyway.
Here i paused to full on cry for two minutes and then realized why the girl were talking about praise kink regarding this episode
Also this show is making me feel strangely validated about past writing choices
“It’s over. I’m going back.”
“Vader wants me.”
Joby and Andrew we need to talk.
Obi-Wan said there were other ways to fight than lightsabers and m’y thoughts immediately turned dirty until i remembered the state of Anakin right now
Man i hope those Force ghosts are having the best time
“You’re not bringing him to me. I’m bringing him to you.”
Well fuck for a second there i misheard i thought he was bringing her to him like hi babe here’s the traitor in your inquisition but no what he’s actually doing is breaking my heart again
“We could end this together.”
Ben you’re tearing this family apart
Tumblr media
“Because all he’ll see is me.”
We get it okay. He’s obsessed with you.
Think none of the stormtroopers hear that little convo?
And… they just bring him back inside?
“There. Your weapon’s gone. It’s over.”
Hayden has such a pretty smile.
“Your need for victory, Anakin it blinds you.”
So much could have been avoided if he’d just told him he was a good boy.
“Where is he.”
He asked once more, with feeling.
Leia baby, they need you to haul ass. Not me though. Take as much time as you want. This is fun.
Leia vs Lola
From spy to lamp torch
Why weren’t those people already on the ship
That’s SO sexy 🤩
I found my next desktop picture Vader’s back on main stage
I’m so disappointed this was so hot listen i don’t give a fuck about those innocent people Anakin deserved to win this one for sheer badassness
He didn’t even get to see him :(
So what they’re saying is that he’s still a Padawan lol give him some pearls to clip to his helmet
Hahaha Reva what did you think would happen.
Well i guess he did give her to him in the end
Hahahahaha he’s playing with her
He doesn’t even have his lightsaber out
🎶 This is the Vader Show 🎶
And it’s beautiful
Bye Reva
“Did you really believe i did not see it, youngling?”
Hey, the Rebels fans were right about that guy! He’s not dead!
“Our hyperdive is down. And they’re behind us.”
So what say you, General Kenobi?
What is that?
Oh it’s his comm
Back to Tatooine we go!
“I’m sure it’s nothing.”
Right.
You look like you’re gaving more than a bad feeling about this.
Hey Luke.

“Have you ever heard the legend of soulmates?” she asks as her eyes scan the page.
“Uh, only from stories.”
“Then you know that Tui and La were the first soulmates in existence. Two halves of one whole. They were so joyous of their union that they wanted to share that gift with mortals. But the universe had other plans, making soulmates extremely rare and cursed with hardship and loss. The only way to know is that soulmates share dreams, share bending, and, most importantly, share their love lines,” she points to the top crease on his hand, where two deep lines run parallel to each other before intertwining with hatches and crosses and connecting finally.
Then it strikes him, her comment about sharing dreams, sharing bending, and it’s like he can feel his inner flame roar to life. The fire between them flares.
“Soulmates are very, very rare, and are known to change the course of the world,” she murmurs, caressing the line. “The last known pair was Sozin and Roku, and it seems the spirits have chosen you.”

To Seek Redemption
So this is based off of something my braincell that desires fluff came up with.
Something happens that causes the Hels!Hermits to become helpful, caring, and empathetic like their counterparts. No more hierarchy and anarchy, no more bloodshed and violence, just pure, familial energy and fluff. Basically, they all obtain morals and eventually the line between Hermit and Helsmit is no more.
This relies strongly on headcannons and things regarding Helsmit/Hermit first encounters are left vague on purpose for the reader to fill in because I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes :3
No major TWs, just mentions of violence, blood, and injuries.
==================================================
The Hels Dimension was a brutal place, an eternal battleground where anarchy was the norm and the hierarchy brutal. The denizens of this dimension said to be the worst traits of their Overworld counterparts incarnated or their best traits without any moral boundaries.
Those that lived within Hermitcraft’s Hels Dimension; Helscraft as they’d become to be called, referred to themselves as Helsmits as they sought to not only overpower each other, but also make the lives of their other halves miserable.
Of course, not every Helsmit was a monster, some were simply pranksters, simply finding enjoyment in teasing their counterparts because the reactions amused them; nuisances that just wouldn’t go away.
But, despite all of this, how would players such as the Helsmits react…when everything they knew, all the violence they partook in, just went away? Was replaced by feelings they didn’t understand or hated?
==================================================
The time-dilation known as lag was not a new concept to the denizens of Helscraft; after all, several of them used the enigmatic force as a weapon or safeguard for their territory, slowing down any would-be usurpers enough to gain an upper hand.
What WAS new, however, was that this time, lag stopped their world completely. No one moved, no one spoke; for only a few moments all was still…
…until it wasn’t.
When the world began to move again the Helsmits knew something had changed, feelings of vengeance and hatred were gone, replaced by emotions they did not understand; that some of them even despised. Empathy, compassion, the desire for familial companionship.
Those locked in combat sheathed their weapons, taking steps back from each other before apologizing. Those that kept themselves locked in impenetrable fortresses left their isolation and sought out the Helsmit nearest to them to simply talk and for comfort due to their isolation. Those that had gotten the last of their territory stolen from them had it returned.
And those that sought power within the hierarchy? Well, who said that having friends didn’t count as power?
Traps set up to kill and torment were disabled, and selfishly-hoarded resources distributed to those with few or none.
It was difficult at first to come to grasps with the sudden morals and emotions they'd acquired, for some, the phrase of “I hate being nice” became popular, being uttered by several of them defeatedly when they attempted to be anything but friendly to each other.
But eventually the Helsmits grew used to their new emotions, enjoyed them even. Sure they were all still competitive with each other, that was a trait no strange force could change, but now it was more friendly and lighthearted. Some even tried to act like the 'evil counterparts' they'd once been in a joking manner.
The Hesmits knew that things had changed, that their old ways of life were now gone.
They'd all gathered at their Town Hall, the first building they'd made since they'd all become friends, looking upon a portal with nervousness and uncertainty. Not a portal to the Nether, nor a portal to the End. No, this portal was to the Overworld.
It'd been Helskinght that discovered how to conjure the gateway, the purple swirls framed by blocks of crying obsidian. At one point this structure had been fought over and the land around it once stained crimson with Helsmit blood.
The area had been completely terraformed since then, making this location both a reminder of the past and the present. None of them had their weapons or tools, just the clothes on their backs, food, and basic building blocks. After all, they'd come here for one reason alone.
Now that they’d mended the conflicts that had once divided them, perhaps it was time to do the same with those that saw them as nothing but evil interlopers seeking to cause only destruction and misery.
Yes, it was time to ask their overworld counterparts, the Hermits, for forgiveness. The final step they'd all need to reach complete redemption.
"You think they'll accept it after everything some of us have done?" asked someone from the gathered crowd, "We've been silent for so long too, how do you think they'll react to us all coming at the same time?"
The two questions had no definite answers, as only a few Helsmits had even interacted with their overworld counterparts. Then again, those that had awful experiences no doubt spread the seeds of distrust throughout the entirety of Hermitcraft.
A Helsmit in ebony-plated armor and wearing a helmet sighed. Since the reforming of their society Helsuma had been the appointed the Admin of Helscraft, though unlike his counterpart, he lacked the powers that came with said title.
"There is only one way to find out." he said with uncertain confidence before taking his first steps through the passage, his fellow Helsmits following not far behind.
------
Their arrival on the main street of the Cowmercial District was met with mixed reactions. Fear, disdain, and confusion the most common but surprise could also be seen on the faces of some Hermits.
Those that knew their Helscraft counterparts had drawn their swords and bows, netherite blades and enchanted arrows aimed directly at them, ready to strike at the slightest sign of aggression.
It was Xisuma that broke the silent tension, his calm, accented voice holding the strength of a leader as he addressed the crowd before him. “Well, this is definitely a surprise.” he said as he took a few steps forward, taking note of the fact some of the newcomers flinched or tensed up at his advance. “I didn’t expect all of you to show up at once, let alone completely unarmed.”
The person who then walked out from the crowd of Helsmits was a surprise to the overworld Admin. Every Hermit supposedly had a counterpart of their own in Helscraft, but X hadn’t exactly been ready to meet his.
Features and attire were identical to his own, though their skin was marred with horrible scars and their black-plated armor boasted several gashes; fiery-orange eyes far more exhausted than his own violet ones shone with desperation.
“Careful, X.” Wels warned with a growl, cerulean gaze narrowed and locked with the red one of Helsknight, “They aren’t to be trusted.”
If the silver-armored knight had seen the hurt in Hels’ expression at those words, he didn’t react to it.
X ignored the given warning and faced his counterpart without fear or hesitation, “What brings you all to the Overworld like this? Clearly it isn’t an invasion.”
Helsuma spoke, his voice simply a deeper, more rough version of X’s. “We…we all…we all wish to ask forgiveness.” he struggled to say before looking behind him at his fellow Helsmits, “Those of us that you know the actions of more than others.”
“Why the change of heart?” came a Hermit’s confused but sharp tone as they gazed upon one that looked almost exactly like they did, no doubt remembering bitterly what their first meeting with their counterpart was like.
“Honestly, we have no idea.” came a voice from the Helsmits, “Everything just…stopped one day, like lag but for longer than a few seconds. After that, well, some of us noticed that we felt emotions alien to us, urges to be…friends, not enemies or rivals; to share and not take.”
“You learned what morals are? I find that hard to believe.”
At the comment Hels turned his head to Wels, arms crossed “Whether you believe it or not, if we sought to invade the overworld for malicious goals today, we would have done so already.”
Grian, surprisingly, was the one that came to the dark knight’s defense “You know, Wels, not all of them are incarnations of our evil.” he commented from his place on steps to the Town Hall. “Take Xelqua, my counterpart for example.“ he began, motioning to the Helsmit that was a splitting image of him save a pair of purple wings that sparkled with stars; the cloak around them bearing a strange symbol, “He’s the one that was mixing up the stuff in your guy’s sorting systems and renaming all your diamonds!”
Mumbo shot the man a look, “Seriously mate? You interacted on a friendly level with your counterpart as opposed to some of us and didn’t think to tell anyone of it?”
“Uh...no. Kinda slipped my mind actually.”
Scar spoke next, having spotted BadTimes in the center of the group; the skeletal vex wings protruding from their back a sign of the part of himself he’d cast away when he decided to reject the control of the chaotic fae he’d once been bound to. “Well, I for one believe in second chances.” he said with a grin, noticing the eyes of several Helsmits light up, “Sure it may take time for us to all trust each other but if they are counterparts of us and we’re Hermits, what’s to say they can’t be too?”
“Scar is right!” chimed Zedaph, “Look at Exy! He was all scary and stuff and he ended up being nice in the end!”
The streets were silent once more as Hermit and Helsmit alike looked at Xisuma, awaiting the verdict of the situation. The Admin thought hard about the dilemma he was faced with. His fellow Hermits all made good points and, when given proof, X was one to forgive.
He saw the looks in the eyes of their counterparts; fear, desperation, hope. He’d made the mistake of condemning his brother to the banvoid, and though they’d made up since then, it didn’t change the fact that he’d left Ex alone, abandoned, and scared when all the man had needed was guidance.
No, he could not simply turn them away, he couldn’t send them back to their dimension and find a way to seal them in there forever.
“I do not speak for all the Hermits, especially given the history some of you have with them.” he began, “However, I am willing to give you all a chance. Do not make me regret my decision.”
------
The rules Xisuma had applied to them were simple and the Admin had made it perfectly clear that they’d all be watched closely, both by him and the Hermits they interacted with.
For some, it was easy to befriend their counterparts, alike in many ways, yet still different enough to be their own person. Others had a more difficult time, uneasy truces and silent tension sparking between them.
But, time heals all wounds, and the line that separated Hermits and Helsmits eventually disappeared. Denizens of both the Overworld and Helscraft began to come and go between their realms freely, taking ideas and inspirations from each other, playing minigames as if they’d all been friends from the beginning.
Getting to the End was impossible from Helscraft, so the Helsmits had always secretly been baffled by the silvery wings that allowed their counterparts to fly around. With the befriending of each other, however, they were being taught through trial and error (mostly error, actually) how they worked and the freedom that came with Elytra flight.
It wasn’t uncommon now for the trio of team ZIT to be seen planning crazy ideas with their counterparts and teasing each other, unsurprisingly both Grian and Xelqua managed to start yet another war, and the silent chaos of shenanigans from Etho and his counterpart were never discovered until it was too late.
False and True could often be seen sparring, as could Wels and Hels; though the duo of knights usually did so through both physical combat and song.
Scar and Cub would be seen working on projects with their counterparts, laughing and remembering the times when they were once one in the same, but yet still glad to be their own individual players.
Bdubs and his phantom-featured counterpart would sometimes argue over who was the fastest of them to get to sleep ("And how are you faster? Last I checked beds blow up in Hels ya stupid!" "Not since X gave Helsuma Admin powers they haven't ya fool!"), though neither of them would win because someone else would sleep away the night while they bickered.
Ex had even returned from his journey of self-discovery, completely confused at first and then began pouting when he learned that he didn’t have a Helscraft counterpart of his own to cause mischief with. With a laugh, Helsuma had offered to be the counterpart of both brothers.
------
It was several months later when the two Admins stood on the roofs of their Town Halls, smiles on their faces as they overlooked the antics below them; Hermits and Helsmits alike interacting harmoniously. With the union of their respectful dimensions their families had doubled in size.
And both of them couldn’t have been any happier.

Trying to connect my last two halves of braincells for this but idk
// major saw spoilers
Anyways what I think it would have been like if strahm was an apprentice and never Hoffman
THIS IS ALL HYPOTHETICAL OK!! So don’t be tooooo mad at me 💀
So in this au Hoffman couldn’t have taken his sisters justice into his own hands, maybe one day her killer could have been in a trap but it wouldn’t have lead to what it did. To my knowledge, not as much is known about strahm other than his life in the police force but I could see a way he would be tested. But we know that hoffman had been working since very very early on so the recruitment time had to be BEFORE he started working on the jigsaw murders but, from what I know, nothing is really given on that. So for him to encounter jigsaw before the time he started working on the case would either be from coincidence or because John saw so fit to make an appearance.
What I think could have happened for their meeting..
Strahm is very much a hot head that jumps to conclusions and is very opinionated. I think John would find that distasteful as for the fact he is an FBI agent, thus making Peter be in a trap. Unlike Hoffman, John can’t blackmail him into joining. Although I find it hard to think Peter would join jigsaw with his strong sense of justice, that same sense could have had a realization he could stop it from the inside. So now with Peter on the cool gang team and not stinky mark, I think so much more better could have happened. Hoffman was a power hungry narcissist who used the jigsaw name to satisfy his darker side of enjoying the punishment of those he saw fit. Peter is the opposite, enjoying justice in a more widely accepted way.
Peter taking place of Hoffman, Amanda could have lived and so many more, albeit some behind bars. If his mind didn’t get corrupt by his working with jigsaw, he probably could have gained johns trust and shut it down without him raising an eyebrow. But I would love to see a feral Peter lolol. I don’t think he would have it in him to really help with many traps, leaving that to Amanda, him only helping with construction of traps or moving people cuz he stronggggg
I don’t see him being an evil accomplice and more as a “guilt ridden kill-it-from-within” kind buuuut here are some sketches of him as an accomplice

Could I get some more weird Prince brothers? They make me smile and I need a bit of that right now.
twin time, twin time, twin time (x infinity)
Remus was the first twin to lose a baby tooth, except Roman got so jealous over the way that the nannies fawned over him that he forcibly knocked one of his teeth out that same day; (to be fair, it was already loose, but it was still a Large Ouch)
both of the twins would like to pretend that they’re smarter/more talented/generally better than the other, but give them a lil alcohol and leave them in a room together and they will make up two halves of one whole idiot. truly, not a braincell in sight
Roman, drunk: i can’t find the key to the apartment and D’s inside asleep, what do we do; Remus, also drunk: hold me sideways and use my head as a battering ram; Roman: dude,,, you’re a genius
the number of times that Roman and/or Remus have tried to send a meme to their brother only to realize that their brother has already sent them that exact same meme is Off the Charts
Roman used to lock his cell phone using Facial Recognition, which he quickly realized was a,,, mistake; (Roman, desperately deleting a bunch of tweets Remus wrote using his phone: Why Didn’t Any Of You Tell Me We Looked So Similar; the team: we thought you knew)
Roman literally forced Remus to take a video with him so that the next time someone comes to him yelling at him for something Remus did, he can just pull up the video to prove that he Has a Twin and is Innocent
once, Roman got sick the afternoon before an audition for a play that he desperately wanted to be a part of, so he paid Remus $50 to shave his mustache and go to the audition in his place; Remus wasn’t able to get him the part that he wanted, but he still landed Roman one of the leads
