I find myself hoping that the next iterations of Transformers shake up Optimus and Megatron’s backstories a bit more
I mean sure, Transformers One shook it up a little, having them both be miners and the creation of the Decepticons being a lot more spontaneous and for somewhat different reasons, but it still follows the general current backstory. They were friends before the war, Megatron created what would become the Decepticons originally to fight for change and equality in a corrupt Cybertron, their ideals start shifting as Megatron wants more forceful means and Optimus more peaceful, they split off and the war starts up from their disagreements on the situation. Megatron tends to take Optimus’ splitting off personally and Optimus still holds some amount of feelings towards Megatron due to their shared history. Also, Megatron is usually a gladiator or miner and while Optimus is more flexible, he’s usually a file clerk/archivist or in Earthspark and One’s case, a laborer
Like I mean, it’s not a bad backstory. But I think it’s been their general backstory for the past 15 years or so. By this point I think we can maybe change things up a little more
#like again One is different in a number of areas#but it still follows a lot of the general plot beats here#so it’s not different enough to me#and again I don’t think it’s bad it gives us that doomed yaoi#but there are other options for their backstories we can do and we don’t have to only use this one#like I don’t think Cyberverse or Earthspark really even went into detail on their backstories#well they kind of did particularly in Cyberverse#but it was mostly some lines and allusions because we’re already supposed to know the general backstory here#sure I’m still not super far in CV but I really don’t know what Megatron there was fighting to change#because we aren’t really shown the inequality they face we’re just supposed to already know it#so maybe in some places it’s being used as a crutch#but also again we have other ways we can do things why not try something new?#we’ve been doing this one for a while#transformers#optimus prime#Megatron

If I had a nickel for every time I’ve attended a poly wedding solo while dressed as a pirate I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.

Jason and Roy get married in all 50 states.
It takes them about 15 years, what with all the marriage and divorce paperwork that has to be filed, but they do it.
The first few marriages and divorces are a Vegas wedding, a New Jersey divorce, and Californian wedding, a Californian divorce, and a New Jersey wedding. Everything after that has been an ongoing bit the two of them can’t stop doing, much to the consternation of their families.
Bruce and Oliver always seem to be discussing upcoming wedding details and if any of the JL ask it’s always the same kids.
JL Member: I thought they were already married?
Other JL Member: I thought they were already divorced??

ughhhh one thing after another
#crickets apparently been pooping outside of her litter box and possibly peeing too. i thought her box was weirdly empty#but shes been going in the closet downstairs. which was one of spikes worst areas for that#tbh we arent sure if we were unfairly blaming spike for that now. its sorta difficult to know who was doing it#but obviously shes the only one it could possibly be now#im hoping its only because i tried changing her litter. usually shes not picky about it and shes used that brand fine#but she could be getting snootier with age idk. im gonna get her#old brand while im out today#im hoping its just that bc shes NEVER had litterbox issues before. shes always been wonderful about that#so im hoping theres nothing wrong healthwise#or maybe just that shes picking up that the closet is an ‘’okay’’ area to do that in because spike used it#and it’s something i gotta train out of here#her#we’ve blocked her off from it in the meantime#afaik its ONLY that room shes been doing it in but we’ll see i guess#echoed voice

why is my dad buying saxophone reeds hello
#he doesn’t play the saxophone he plays the coronet hello#my mom and I can play the saxophone but like. we aren’t#our saxophone technically belongs to his brother is he planning on giving it back or learning it??#i’m so confused. not what I meant when I strongly encouraged my parents to pick up their instruments again (my mom played clarinet)#what’s next the trombone. that would make more sense if he’s just trying to find something to do while he waits for his coronet to be fixed#me and my brother are literally getting the band back together lmaoo im finally recovering from my injury and playing my instruments again#and he’s teaching himself guitar (he’s only been playing six months if that and he’s amazing!!) and piano in addition to his drumming#hes even learning to sing (making progress but he’s not a singer). guess we’ve inspired my parents too. at least my dad#but. the saxophone?????#literally there are saxophone reeds in the Amazon cart. also the cork is probably so gross#no one’s taken the sax out of the case since I was in high school like over a decade ago#anyway. this is the music household I remember from my early childhood and it’s amazing#still confused at saxophone though

#and all of this is true while it is ALSO true that her songs age incredibly well#even debut or random soundtrack songs or endgame#whatever song people try to put on the worst Taylor songs list NEVER QUITE BELONGS#it doesn’t feel right. and to some extent occasionally in mercurial flashes I feel the same about her BEST songwriting list#I can never rank anything of hers ever because she can write better than she has written#if anything finds her own songwriting dead it’s what her future self will be able to achieve#and I think sometimes even the public can SENSE this about her and it’s part of why people are sooooo hard on her in a brutal way#and in a way they never are with other artists. who have reached the limits of their potential#Taylor has not reached the limits —that’s the simple way of saying it#in some way she is still figuring out the artist she is going to be#and I really do think that it is going to be absolutely astonishing#because in some ways (this is going to sound crazy) she is still distracted by her success and her tour#she’s NOT but I mean. the canon hasn’t been fully set free#there are still somehow things holding her back#and we’ve watched her outstrip so much of those early confines that fame and the business of the music industry strapped around her#we’ve seen her say ‘that doesn’t apply to me’#but actually she’s going to and she needs to and I believe she WILL continue to move into rarefied air#my mom helped me give me the final piece of this feeling (and it’s just a deep gut intuition/brain chemical thing for me)#when she said one day almost in mild exasperation: maybe one day Taylor will grow into a Dolly Parton#and something CLICKED#in my brain. and I don’t agree with my mom in terms of her non-interest in Taylor (as much as it has pained me to do so)#I think she’s worth loving and paying attention to now#but that gap that exists between people who love her and people who don’t (full time haters internet trolls do not interact)#I think it’s going to close with time as her work stretches out and out and grows and changes#like I think by the end of her career we are going to have something so astonishing#and to loop it back for a second to a previous thought. I think that’s why sometimes a taylor song can sound disjointed to me. because it#will hit the Depths of the Depth for a second. it will transcend and then it will go back to merely being an excellent pop song#those flashes are everywhere in her work but I think she is going to work and hone them into being conductors of light in a more steady way#the older she gets. does this sound INSANE. idk sometimes I think it does and then sometimes I think it DOESNt. so who knows. but yeah#it’s hard to say because I know it will read as more critical of Taylor than I mean it to be. when really I mean it with so much awe

I did what I always do when I get this storm anxiety and I watched goofy videos and reels all day and today ha get like three days and also I’m just so so so stressed about tomorrow night cause my whole family is gonna be split up around the county and I’m so so…. Not ok.

I was chatting with some of the guys I bask with and they said the way I catch minnows is problematic; What I do is I sit on the bottom of the lake, I hide myself in the mud and I open my mouth.
