The forest was heavy with fog and moonlight. Each breath Dean took came sharp, the cold air biting at his lungs. He could still smell blood on the wind — coppery and fresh — but what lingered stronger was something else.

Leather. Smoke. A hint of perfume.

You.

He crouched behind a gnarled tree, bootsteps silent as his fingers curled tighter around the hilt of the blade. Silver, etched in Enochian and iron-laced symbols. It was built to gut things like you — sleek predators in tight black leather who thought they could play with their food.

A whisper of movement.

Then there you were.

Poised under a silver beam of moonlight like a living dream, back against a tree, one leg bent, claws glinting from gloved fingers, lips curled into a slow, dangerous smile.

Dean stepped out, blade raised. “You really don’t know when to quit.”

“I could say the same,” you purred, unfazed. “But I’m glad you didn’t.”

“You’ve got three bodies behind you. I'm not here to flirt.”

“Oh, but I am.” You pushed off the tree and sauntered forward, hips rolling with feline grace, eyes burning into his like they already owned him. “Isn’t this what you wanted, Dean? Me. Cornered. Breathless. All yours?”

He barked a humorless laugh, but didn’t lower the blade. “You’re a killer.”

“You’re a hunter,” you murmured, now only inches away. “That makes us the same thing, doesn’t it?”

Dean didn’t answer — too busy watching how your fingers drifted lazily over your own hips. You tilted your head, eyes glowing faintly, like you were daring him to strike.

He tightened his grip on the weapon and took a step forward, forcing you to press your back against the tree again.

“Last chance. I can end it now.”

You smiled wider. “Then do it, Dean. Come on… press it in.”

The knife hovered just over your chest, steady. But your voice dipped to a whisper, syrupy and dark.

“You can’t even look at me without wanting to touch.”

Dean’s jaw clenched. “You’re delusional.”

“No,” you purred. “I’m right here. And you’re losing.”

You reached up — slowly, deliberately — and traced a single clawed fingertip up his chest. His breath hitched. You kept going, up his throat, feather-light and lethal, until your hand cradled the back of his neck.

Then you leaned in — tongue flicking out, licking up the line of his pulse, slow and warm.

Dean’s whole body went rigid.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” he hissed.

You pressed your lips to the corner of his jaw. “Making you forget why you ever wanted to kill me.”

The knife dropped.

His hand replaced it, fingers gripping your throat with rough intensity, pinning you — not choking, but owning.

He crashed into you with a kiss that was all fire and fury. There was no gentleness. Only heat, teeth, desperation. His hands roamed your sides like he couldn’t decide whether to worship or restrain.

You gasped against him as his thigh pushed between yours, grinding into you with purpose. Your hips moved in response — sinuous, slow, teasing.

“You’re a goddamn nightmare,” he growled between kisses.

You moaned, head tilted back as his mouth trailed down your jaw. “And you’re the fool who keeps chasing me.”

Dean grabbed your waist and shoved you harder against the tree. “You’re dangerous.”

You laughed breathlessly. “So are you.”

He kissed you again — deeper this time, his hand fisting in your hair, pulling a moan from your throat that you let him feel. His teeth scraped your bottom lip, and your claws dug lightly into his back through his jacket.

“You going to kill me now?” you whispered, voice wrecked with want.

Dean’s breath was hot against your cheek. “Maybe later.”

You dragged your lips along his neck, nipping the skin. “You want to ruin me.”

He groaned. “I want to bend you over this tree and make you purr.”

Your breath caught — and you laughed, wild and breathless. “Then claim me, Winchester.”

So he did.

He kissed you like he was starving, like he hated you for how badly he wanted you. Your fingers worked at the hem of his shirt, sliding underneath to feel hot skin and muscle. His thigh flexed between your legs as he ground up into you, forcing a gasp past your lips.

Every inch of you burned. Every touch was war and surrender all at once.

And Dean?

Dean was unraveling — the hunter in him screaming to finish the job, the man in him desperate to lose himself in your mouth again.

But he didn’t stop.

And neither did you.

The weapon stayed forgotten on the ground.

it all starts with a loose lab-cat. singed had pumped the thing with shimmer and underestimated its strength. he returned to the lab the next morning to a broken glass cage, quickly followed by hissing and hollering coming from the bar.

sevika stepped on the cat's tail where it had been sleeping beneath a table. in return, the cat sunk it's claws into sevika's calf-- four deep scratches running down her leg-- dripping half blood red, half shimmer pink.

singed told her she'd be okay.

he told her to go home and sleep it off and that she'd be fine.

singed is a fucking liar.

the next full moon, sevika turns into a cat.

not a panther, or a lion, or a fucking tiger or something cool. a fucking house cat. and a tiny one too.

she didn't tell anyone. who could she tell? singed would just try to strap her to a lab table and start experimenting on her. silco would probably just laugh. jinx might be her best bet if she wanted answers, but she fears that jinx would do something horrible like pet her or something.

so she just... deals with it.

the more full moons that pass, the more used to it she gets, and the more she can transform herself at will without the moon's powers.

she kinda likes being a cat. it's useful as fuck in the undercity, with all it's steep walls and drop-offs. it gives her crystal clear vision, even in the deepest darkest streets; it gives her great instincts, even in her human form, and...

there's nothing quite like finding a stray beam of sun and curling up for a few minutes to snooze on a peaceful day. both in her human and cat form.

which is how she meets you.

you live on a high floor of a big apartment building in the lanes. it's miserable climbing up and down the stairs multiple times a day, but the nice thing about it is you're high up enough to get some direct sunlight in your home for a good few hours a day.

you don't have a cat-- your landlord would kill you. but you keep a two little pots of catnip and catgrass growing on your fire-escape, a little tin of water and some tuna or chicken when you've got scraps to spare.

you've got a few cats that come to visit you a few times a week, all varying levels of friendly.

the white stray visits every afternoon to snack on your plants, sometimes bringing a skinny orange friend along with her. you let them be, watching fondly through the window as they groom each other.

there's a fat tuxedo cat that you know has an owner somewhere in the neighborhood, that seems to know when you set out food scraps-- always there in a flash to gobble them up. he's friendly as hell, meowing incessantly at your window until you open it up for him and let him come in to get pets for a few hours before returning home for dinner.

there's a new litter of calico kittens you've caught sight of. you think there's five or six separate kitties, but you can never keep track because they grow so and change so much between your sightings of them.

and then there's your newest visitor.

she's a unique cat, silver eyes, only three legs, her left front leg missing completely. there's blue scratches running down her left side, shimmering in the sun when the wind blows her fur away enough for you to see them.

and she doesn't eat any of your plants, or drink any of your water. most of the time, you come home and find her sleeping in a ray of sun. and every time when she wakes up and realizes you're home, the cat will jump up on your windowsill and simply watch you; her tail twitching occasionally in the wind, purring loud enough for you to hear through the little window as her silver eyes follow your every movement inside.

sevika's fucked.

she's so, so, so fucked.

she's been fucking stabbed, twice, and she's loosing blood so quickly that she's starting to see spots.

the men who stabbed her are chasing her, and she's leaving a trail of blood right to herself. no matter how fast she runs, she's not going to lose them.

she's so woozy that she almost forgets that she's got fucking magical powers. she ducks into an alley and quickly transforms, before sprinting away. that takes care of those idiots beating her to death-- but it doesn't change the fact that sevika's dying.

she doesn't know where to go.

the last drop is way too far for her to get there before she bleeds out. she's got no friends in this neighborhood-- and people down here don't have the spare time, money, or sympathy for a dying street cat.

wait.

she knows someone who likes street cats.

someone sweet, and pretty, and always smiling and talking to her like she can speak human language. she can, but she knows your other cat visitors can't-- and it just makes her like you all the more- - the idea of you talking to some clueless cat, just like you talk to her.

she makes it to your fire escape just before her three legs give out.

and while her vision starts to fade completely, the clouds overhead move and a beam of sun shines down on her, the smell of your cat plants wafting over her as the wind blows.

well, sevika supposes. if i'm gonna die i guess this is the nicest place to do it.

you come home and find a dead woman on your fire escape... which isn't a total surprise in this neighborhood.

it's only when you go out to prod at her that you get really freaked out-- because she's not dead, just barely breathing.

you scramble to pull the woman inside your apartment, spreading her out on your bed and nearly throwing up at the sight of two deep stab wounds in her sides.

you've got some shimmer stored in your medicine cabinet in case of emergencies, and you quickly slide the liquid down her throat before scrambling to find something to stitch her side together with.

you aren't sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing when she starts blinking awake, groaning in pain and weakly trying to shove you away from her wounds.

"hey hey hey, wake up." you say, shaking her shoulders. she grunts and scrunches her face up. when her eyes blink open, your stomach twists.

you've never seen eyes that silver besides on the cat that comes to visit you. they're different on a person. much more attractive.

"uh..." you say, trailing off for a second suddenly realizing that the woman beneath you is very naked. and now that you're looking at her, the blue scars on her left side seem awfully familiar. you clear your throat. "uh, wake up." you say again, gently smacking her cheek.

she gasps awake when you start stitching up her second wound. "fuck!" she shouts. and then, she seems to process where she is. "fuck." she says.

you gulp. "uh, i'll get you a blanket." you offer.

sevika nods numbly as you-- the woman she's been shamelessly peeping on for the past year-- stumble out of your bedroom.

"i thought you were dead, honestly, and then you started moving and i got really freaked out. gave you some shimmer-- i hope you don't mind." you ramble as you walk back into your room, throwing a blanket over sevika. "is there anyone i should call for or...?"

"you're even prettier up close." she says. then she cringes.

fuck she didn't mean to say that. it must be the blood loss. and the shimmer. and your pretty eyes.

"uh..." sevika watches as you start to back away like you're scared, and she huffs before she gathers all her energy and transforms into her cat form. "what the fuck?!" you squawk as the woman in front of you disappears in thin air.

and then, a little lump under the covers starts to move.

and the three legged silver eyed cat comes crawling out, two new wounds on her side.

"what the fuck?" you ask, immedietly reaching forward to pet the cat in front of you. you don't consider that the cat is a woman-- it's your natural instinct-- you see a cat, you pet it.

but then the woman's back and your hand is in her hair and she's blushing all the way down to her tits which you can see because she's still naked.

"wha--"

"i'm sevika."

"hi, sevika." you giggle, slightly hysterical. sevika's blush gets even darker. "i'm--"

"i know." she cuts you off, then bites her lip in embarrassment and presses her head harder against your hand, like she's a cat. well, you suppose she kinda is. "i... sorry for stumbling into your life like this. i thought if i died as a cat i died in real life." sevika shrugs. "guess the whole nine lives thing is true, though."

"i don't--"

"i can leave, if you give me a pair of sweats or someth--"

"no!" you squeak. sevika smiles, and now you're embarrassed. "i-i mean... you're injured. you should stay until you're better..." sevika raises an eyebrow at you. "plus... you're kinda cute."

she grins. "as a cat or...?"

"fuck off." you giggle, crawling into bed beside her. "you've fucking... been watching me for a year! it's only fair i get to interrogate you, too, you creep."

"i-i'm not a creep!"

"you've seen me naked!"

"you didn't seem to mind at the time..." sevika pouts.

you can't believe how ridiculous this whole fucking situation is. sevika's blood drying into your mattress underneath the pair of you, but her skin is becoming more vibrant as the shimmer works through her system, flashes of pink sparkling in her silver eyes. she's practically purring as you scratch her scalp. you burst into laughter, and sevika grins up at you.

when you finally catch your breath, you shake your head and look down at the only sorta-stranger beneath you. "so, what are you... a werecat, or something?"

sevika groans before bursting into laughter with you.

Many don't vibe well with dogs because many dogs get riled up by their cattish scents. But there's nothing about the affliction that makes them suddenly hate dogs, no.

Werecats and werewolves do have a kind of natural beef/aversion to each other though.

Hey what monsters and other mythological beings do you think would suit the danganronpa cast

Ooh, in what way? To embody them/transform into? (Like, vampire, werewolf...?) Or like, to have as a familiar? And do you mean what creatures would suit them collectively, per cast, or individually, one each? I'm going with one each.

Okay, there are so many different ways to go with this, but I think I'm going to have some of them be the creature and some of them have the creature, just based on which I like most for them. Also, I might end up playing fast and loose with what counts as a "mythological being".

THH CAST

Makoto Naegi- Now, if I had to make him something, it would be a werewolf. We've discussed what a great werewolf he makes, lol. If I'm keeping to the thematic importance of him being "normal", though, I'd say he's a human with a familiar. And his familiar...Gosh, it's way too early to say "phoenix", but I'm just picturing him taking care of what he thinks is a normal bird, but then it turns out to be a phoenix. Kind of a "Hope keeps on going!" thing.

Kyoko Kirigiri- Kitsune? It feels pretty early to say that, too, but it was the first thing that came to mind. And I feel like it suits her.

Byakuya Togami- He's a vampire, because he's a billionaire.

Aoi Asahina- She deserves to either be a naiad or ride a hippocampus. Preferably the latter.

Yasuhiro Hagakure- Dryad. I just kind of like the idea of him being a tree. And his fire trauma would make sense. Imagine taking a long walk in the woods, you lean against a tree, and either Hiro steps out of the tree or his voice comes from it, like "Hey, while you're here, want me to tell you your future?" Or, "Hey, welcome! Leaning against the trunk? That's cool. I mean, there's a two thousand yen fee for leaning, but you can chill here as long as you want!"

Toko Fukawa- I'm picturing her with stitched-together skin covering a mass of insects, like Oogie Boogie. Or a gorgon.

Junko Enoshima- She gets a pet meenlock. I just read through the lore around those, and that just has her name on it, to me. Meenlocks attack people telephathically to corrupt all that's pure and good, and when their victims succumb they become meenlocks, too? There's something there, idk. I'm just imagining her singling out someone who she wants out of her way, opening her purse, and a meenlock scuttles out and starts stalking them.

Sayaka Maizono- I worry there's a kind of misogynistic connotation to saying she's a siren, but I also think it would be cool for her to have siren powers, and it makes sense for her. I like Siren Sayaka.

Mukuro Ikusaba- My first thought was just picturing her as that little nerd kid in Sky High who could turn into a rock monster. It can't be that. Maybe doppelganger. Like, instead of being Junko's twin, she's Junko's doppelganger.

Leon Kuwata- Vampire I guess?

Chihiro Fujisaki- Kinari. That's just Chihiro with wings. I like the idea of giving Chihiro wings. Maybe werebird instead. Somewhere in the ballpark of "Chihiro with wings".

Mondo Owada- Ngl, he's giving werewolf pack leader.

Kiyotaka Ishimaru- Werewolf without a pack. He's a werewolf who conforms to human society. Chains up on full moons; very traditional.

Hifumi Yamada- He'd be some kind of faerie or elf. Some creature with a lifestyle that allows him to just do his little things to the distant sounds of woodwind instruments.

Celestia Ludenberg- Should I give her vampire? Should I give it to her? Nahhh. Her cat is a werecat, though; that's a cool vibe for her.

Sakura Ogami- Can she just have a dragon? I want to give her a dragon. I want to respectfully and lovingly place a dragon egg in her hands, that she may raise it as her own.

SDR2 CAST

Hajime Hinata- Human who is turned into a vampire.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu- I'd be remiss if I didn't paste this line from Wikipedia: "Hitotsume-kozou – A Yōkai that takes on the appearance of a bald, one-eyed child." Now, that's not my answer, but it's interesting. Real answer is, he's a tiefling.

Sonia Nevermind- I have said, and maintain, that she would make a cool werewolf.

Kazuichi Soda- He's a high fantasy dwarf, in that he'd thrive forging stuff underground. Or he's part shark.

Akane Owari- This sounds bad, but I'm feeling gargoyle? Not in the "ugly" sense of the word; I just think she would enjoy perching on a high ledge and scaring away demons.

Ultimate Impostor- Shapeshifter of any kind.

Teruteru Hanamura- This is weird, but I just imagined him with a pet hydra, where, like...He can cut off its head and cook it, and the hydra keeps living, now with two heads in place of the one. And if you ever told him, "Stop using your pet for meat; that's way too many heads," he'd be like, "And speaking of head..." (Or "speaking of meat".) Another option is making him an incubus. I think a fitting answer is to say he has a kechibi, a ghostly fireball with a human face, since those are apparently told of in Kōchi Prefecture, which (based on his previous high school) might be where he's actually from. He would lie about that.

Mahiru Koizumi- I'm imagining she has a pet ghost dog. Like, the ghost of a dog. It shows up in some of her photos, but other than that it's invisible. Can bump into things and make noise, though.

Peko Pekoyama- ...Okay, so hear me out. Peko gives me big "secret mermaid" energy. Like, one of those movies where the main character is a teenager who discovers they're a mermaid. She was given up by her parents, right? Secretly, her parents were merfolk (or ningyo). And either her mermaid abilities start to become apparent as she grows up, or there's a Thing that happens that causes them to activate, like Fuyuhiko is drowning and she has to save him.

Hiyoko Saionji- I'm just imagining she has a bunch of haunted dolls. They move around and everything, when she's not looking. Alternately, kitsune.

Ibuki Mioda- Banshee! Easy. (dusts off hands) Very cool and on-brand for her.

Mikan Tsumiki- She's a lamia; she got a snake tail.

Nekomaru Nidai- He's a manticore or minotaur.

Gundham Tanaka- He takes care of werewolf Sonia when she's in wolf form, but he doesn't know it's her. Besides that, I can see him caring for all kinds of monsters, front-of-mind being a griffin. Imagine Gundham brushing a griffin. Riding a griffin. Trimming a griffin's claws. Roaring with a griffin.

Nagito Komaeda- Okay, he's a changeling. Or, more accurately, he's the inverse of a changeling. He's a human child who was replaced by some manner of fae folk, meaning his human parents raised a faerie in his place and he, in turn, was raised by faeries. He learned faerie ways without being subject to their actual qualities. Basically, he's a human and he talks and acts like a faerie (speaking in deceptive truths, very committed to obscure rules and principles, and possessing kind of an edge of whimsical cruelty) without actually having an inability to lie or an aversion to iron. (Alternatively he could be a puca, and actually that description matches him really well, but I don't wanna, lol.)

Chiaki Nanami- She's an enenra. They can only be seen by the pure of heart, which feels like it checks out. She's a ghostly apparition that appears out of bonfires, which feels fitting for her talent, in my opinion; video games, at their best, are a communal experience, much like bonfires. Bonfires were the video games of ancient times. (Yep, I'm making that a real opinion of mine. Why not?)

V3 CAST

Kaede Akamatsu- A dryad, partially because she has a tree name and partially because it was definitely going to be a kind of nature spirit and it was between a tree one and a star one. I went with tree.

Shuichi Saihara- Shuichi is Mothman. (turns off microphone)

Maki Harukawa- Tiefling? I'm gonna say she's a tiefling.

Himiko Yumeno- She has a jackalope. She pulls it out of a hat.

Tsumugi Shirogane- Giving her a phoenix would parallel how Danganronpa keeps coming back, but it doesn't match her vibe at all. I'm gonna say she has some little imps that she dresses up as meenlocks as a part of her Junko cosplay.

Kiibo- He doesn't get one unless you make me, lol. Nothing against him; he's just already a robot.

Rantaro Amami- He's a sleep paralysis demon, but he's very affable about it.

Ryoma Hoshi- He's also a sleep paralysis demon. He doesn't say much.

Kirumi Tojo- I see her as a high fantasy elf. Girlie was born to divine great insights from the wind through the trees and impart them cryptically to brash young heroes and be invited on adventures.

Angie Yonaga- Baku. I already made her a daughter of Morpheus in the PJO AU, so perhaps I'm having too much fun with this headcanon-y association of Angie with dreams, but I just like giving her a big creature that eats nightmares. Just to have. That, or she's a sylph. Or both. I would gladly give her both. She's a sylph with a baku. She lets it loose to keep her friends from having nightmares each night.

Tenko Chabashira- She's a valkyrie. She would absolutely thrive. And naturally, she's super biased.

Korekiyo Shinguji- My first thought is yokai, partially because he talked about the difference between ghosts and yokai in that one scene.

Miu Iruma- She has a bunch of little elves, but in the "Cobbler and the Elves" sense, not the Lord of the Rings sense. The closest single word for what I actually mean is "gremlins", since they, like the elves in that story, are directly associated with craftsmanship. She just has some handy little guys. Like, five or six of them, just crawling around fixing things or causing mischief or playing in her hair, depending on how she's feeling. If she's in a bad mood, they're breaking stuff; if she's in a good mood, they're fixing stuff.

Gonta Gokuhara- Pixies. I want him to have a bunch of little winged humanoid creatures flying around him or chilling on/in his insect carrier.

Kokichi Ouma- I almost want to say he's the faerie who was raised in Nagito's place. So, he can't lie, but he's really good at acting like he can. Oh man, I kind of want to make a whole AU on that idea alone; Nagito and Kokichi Changeling AU. Don't tempt me. Makoto is there as a normal human they're both in love with, Kokichi from being raised "human" alongside him, Nagito from meeting him later. No, I must stop. (Alternately, Kokichi is Celeste's werecat.)

Kaito Momota- Time Lord. He doesn't get to be a time lord, but I could see the Doctor (of Doctor Who fame) picking him up for a few trips. I find it deeply funny that I didn't put him in that AU to begin with.

was rewatching a few eps of monster high yesterday and it got me thinking of a thanos squad monster high au,,,,,,,,

first thing that came to mind for me IMMEDIATELY was vampire nam-gyu,,,, i mean i love vampire aus as is but! i also think it works well with his character in canon the way he's always trying to tempt thanos into giving him a pill which is sort of like a play on nam-gyu trying to "feed off of him" and stuff and i just think that nam-gyu would look beautiful as a vampire ok but i also was thinking about it and perhaps nam-gyu as a sort of siren? the same idea of him persuading thanos and reeling him in.........

and for min-su i'm thinking of him in a sort of jackson jekyll/holt hyde situation, like he's half human and so the other monsters initially just think he's a normal guy and look down on him for that (not se-mi tho 🤞) , and he's insecure/shy about it, but then he does have a trigger where he does become a monster- and maybe he doesn't even know what that trigger is and so his transformation hasn't happened yet...... honestly this idea came to me because i badly want min-su to crash out and be crazy in s3 so this is my take on that LOL but yeah anyways i love u min-su <33

Luz is a Jeckell and Hyde kind of thing. Titan Luz is her “Hyde” personality, that only appears after a significant trauma, mental, emotional, or physical.

I had Eda and Lilith as harpies. As for relevant harpies, Avia Trotter is a harpy hybrid that shows up as a side character. But that is the only one I found.

Willow is a plant monster. Same obvious reasons.

Hunter is either a Frankenstein’s monster, robot boy, or voodoo doll, for the same reasons you listed. I considered a werewolf, because he loves wolves, but figured the other options were better.

Amity is a werecat, because she gives me those kind of vibes, has a cat palisman, and I can use the fur type like the creators used the hair color in canon.

Alador is a short haired werecat, like Amity. Odalia is a long haired Persian. And the twins are medium haired. Amity uses a concealment stone to change her fur type at first, but stops using it when canon Amity changed her hair color.

Gus, I had problems figuring out. I thought ghost/phantom, because of the illusions. But I also considered werewolf, because he gets along so well with Hunter.

Raine is a boogeythem, for the same reasons. No one pays much attention to the shadow in the corner, letting them listen in, or hide when needed. I also considered a genie. Though a phantom/ghost makes a lot of sense.

Darius is a goo monster like Gooliopie Jellington and Gob. Eber is a werewolf. Derwin is a gorgon. Katya is a vampire. Amber is a gargoyle.

I don’t think the pictures do a good job of showing that she’s dusted with teal micro glitter all over. Also, my cat got a hold of her and had some hopefully satisfying chomps. I filled the chomp holes in with pink and then dotted some resin on top. Was going for a “scar” vibe, don’t think I quite got there. But I did think a lot during the process about enjoying my toys not despite their imperfections like cat chomps but because of them.

Also, I wanna acknowledge that my cat may think this is some of her best work. The other werecat twin is already rerooted and will be an homage to my cat, as a matter of fact.

I cringe every time I see Justice League International/America put as essential reading for Ted Kord/Blue Beetle 2. Like no, just cause it was long-running and popular and referenced by a bunch of things, since Ted was OOC the entire time in JLI that's not essential reading for him.

This is what I've read so far that gives a good feel for Ted Kord/Blue Beetle and what he's about where he's reasonably in character:

Captain Atom (1966-1967) #83-86- Ted's first comics. Look out for period typical sexism. Has the first mini-Bug/Snoopy for spying on shit.

Blue Beetle (1967-1968) #1-5- Ted's first solo comics. Look out for period typical sexism and racism. Ted's ok with killing bad guys/won't lose sleep about it if it happens. My girl, the MVP Tracey is here as Ted's gf, lab assistant, and confidant. Issue 5 has Vic Sage/The Question showing up in his civilian persona and helping out Blue Beetle.

Charlton Portfolio (1974) #1- Ted's civilian persona gets blamed for murder and the theft of an invisibility suit. . Tracey defends her man's honor and chews people out for bad-mouthing Ted.

Charlton Bullseye (1981) #1- Blue Beetle 2 and The Question team up officially as superheroes taking on a villain with many mooks and death traps. Also, this story implies that Ted has been Blue Beetle for at least 10 yrs. The Question calls Blue Beetle his friend and thinks they make a good team.

Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985) #1-3 [you can read more if you want but he's less prominent the further the Crisis goes on]- Ted's DC universe debut as part of the Earth 4 crew. This Ted has the Scarab and it can work as demon repellant and keep him from getting disintegrated from being touched by antimatter demons. Ted is cosmically important enough to be Earth 4's representative!

Secret Origins (1986) #2- Dan and Ted's origins are retold to fit in the DC universe. Ted does not have the Scarab. Red-head curly-haired Ted!

Blue Beetle (1986) #1-24- Ted's DC solo run. Red-head curly-haired Ted! Ted has no confidence for his secret identity which causes drama. His girlfriend/lab assistant is Melody Chase. In issues 5-7, Vic Sage/The Question teams up with Blue Beetle 2 for an arc. This run has crossovers with Legends (1986) and Mellinium (1988). Ted also starts appearing in Justice League International (1987)[boo, hiss, thankfully JLI didn't affect the plots of Ted's solo unlike the crossovers]

Showcase (1994) #2-4- Set in JLI era but Ted is pretty much himself. Ted fights cops and a city's local government b/c they stole his patents and they're fascists and he doesn't vibe with that.

L.A.W.: Living Assult Weapons (1999) #1-6- This series is racist trash propaganda. You mostly just want the first two and last two issues for Ted stuff. Ted decides to retire from being a superhero at the end of this series.

Birds of Prey (1999) #2, 4, 7, 10, 15, 19, 22-25, 33-37, 39-42- Ted makes a number of cameos initially via chatting online with Oracle as her friend. Then meeting up for an in-person date. Then coming out of retirement and joined the Birds of Prey on missions as support and a driver primarily. Then Ted gets diagnosed with a degenerative heart condition and retires again.

Robin (1993) #96- Ted teaming up with Tim Drake/Robin to track down a Jokerized werecat. Ted charms and scores a date with one of Dick Grason/Nightwing's civilian love interests.

Convergence: Blue Beetle (2015) #1-2- A return of pre-DC Ted! Set on Earth 4's Hub City kidnapped by some cosmic entity pitting heroes against each other with the survival of their cities on the line. Blue Beetle, The Question, and Captain Atom vs the Legion of Super-Heroes. My girl Tracey is here! As Ted's copilot!

Convergence: Justice League International (2015) #1-2- DC Ted and with the Justice League International but well handled and enjoyable. Enjoyed him interacting with the Kingdom Come version of himself. Includes, Ted/Bea which is not something I expected but neat.
