Wait I feel like I’m out of the loop here. People hate Susie from spooky month???? Literally for what. I cannot genuinely think of a reason to hate her what are people even saying?????

OH I think this more has to do with the fact that it's confirmed Susie is going to get more of a spotlight in the next Spooky Month episode! And seeing how people are with female characters (especially when they're kids/teens) people are expecting/bracing for her to get a bunch of unwarranted hate for making a completely rational decision while characters like Roy will do something shitty and have their actions excused.

I mean for comparisons sake I wasn't big into Gravity Falls but the Mabel hate was so bad that I was made aware of it by simply watching videos related to the show. Keep in mind she was simply acting the same way any kid would and people considered her one of the worst characters in the show.

Seeing as Susie is a teen girl and how the fandom is with female characters in general (often ignoring them or straight up reprimanding them for things they did (coughLilacough) when male characters have done far worse) it's not out of the question to expect Susie hate.

Ofc this issue isn't isolated in the Spooky Month fandom, it's an issue in fandom spaces in general, but yeah,, That's about it.
