Sam vs Graham
Another look
Normally I don't like to rehash a subject over and over again in posts, but since I found some more videos that seems interesting on that subject I thought I share it in one more post with you all.
But first, I want to emphasize, we're all speculating here about the cause or whatever happened that, what to me looks like Sam distanced himself from Graham already for a long time.
In the previous posts, there are a lot of comments. I feel not everyone takes the time to read them all, (or perhaps do not notice the blue link 'show more replies' in a thread) and since they're shattered between a couple of different posts, I'll try to give a 'brief' summary of events
It started all when we noticed how Sam didn't react (or liked) Graham's posts anymore around mid 2023. Graham married in January 2023, Sam was present as well as at the stag party before. You can stil see a like on a post of Graham on Sam's birthday, and one more in June or July. From there on nothing anymore.
August 2023, MIK2 was released, and Graham launched his bourbon. After that we saw, and I quote from this former post (July 2024);
While before Sam always liked Graham's posts and often there would be some banter, I noticed how he stopped doing so and not tagged Graham in his posts about the Clanlands book posts. Which led to some more discussion here and here (please read those posts, as I don't see any reason to rehash it all) Also noticeable was that they didn't record the audible together (while for both previous books they did and there was always a post or even a video about it), and even signing the books was not done together but a day apart at the same location. Their posts and promo for the book events looks like they both did it on their own way without any cooperation.
Please follow the links in these quotes and/or read the rest of that post for more.
Meanwhile I more and more came to the conclusion that a booze war could hardly be the only thing causing this already long lasting discord. There must be more, and I left some thoughts about my theory (not a fact!) in the posts of the previous days. Being money is often a cause for a rift between 'friends'.
Since I mentioned that people started to remember some things, like Graham once suggested to organize a very high priced VIP con in Scotland (which never happened), and the project he once promoted many years ago for a movie, he was requesting crowdfunding for. These things have nothing to do with MIK, Graham doesn't owe Sam any money for that, the project was something completely different and only cam up in talks last year when Steven Cree mentioned how Graham seems to have 'embezzled' the money (for the record those were the words Cree used) In before mentioned post you can find the link to that crowdfunding project and in the comments of this post @hereprettykitty gives a good summary of that project:
It was crowdfunded, but not through gofundme. It was done through Indiegogo. There is no guarantee a project will work out when one “donates”. Instead, it is based on perks. Both Caitriona and Sam did “fake” audition videos as a perk (they were never going to be in it…it was just for fun and intentionally badly done…those are the perks I “donated for”). There were other things liked signed items from Outlander cast members and The Hobbit and The Preacher, etc…Once those “perks” are delivered, the money goes officially to the campaign starters. Basically, it’s like crowdfunding but the person is getting something in exchange. Graham was under no obligation to give the money back, so it wasn’t embezzlement. He did use a lot of acting pals to raise money with the videos and autographs, though. And the project did share that it had raised enough and would begin filming. The last update through Indiegogo said is was delayed because of Covid. The FB page is gone now and if there ever was an update beyond that, I didn’t see it.
Again I also refer to that July 2024 post, which also contains the link to this crowdfunding project
So please don't make wrong assumptions about this whole project as it hasn't got anything really to do with whatever is going on between Sam and Graham, other than Cree mentioning it maybe in some sort of support to Sam and using the word embezzled. It gave my thoughts about money being part of the cause at the least more weight.
Okay, this is starting to get a very long post already and I bet you want to see the videos by now. I combined two videos together. In the first video (credit: susan_mourad) you can see Sam entering the theater for the screening and the second video he's talking to Graham (credit: theoutlanderevangelist). I had to combine them as Tumblr only allows one video per post and I didn't want to create a second post about it all.
Now as said, in the first video we see Sam entering the theater with Graham behind him (I posted a video the other day as well showing practically the same, this one shows a little more, it's from the same account)
Consequently the cast of BoB enters the theater as well. The the camera tilts to Sam again, we see Alex on the left, Kara behind Sam and on the right one of the SS team (we saw him before in SF at topshelf, I forgot his name)
I created some gifs from it (and from the other video of susan mourad)
It sort of looks to me that Sam was supposed to sit next to Graham, but declined...
Then it appears that the bar tender from the SS team, is sitting next to Graham
But then it looks like there's still some confusion
The second clip (I edited it twice in above video, first how it originally is, and the second one more zoomed in). We might need some lip readers here to determine what is said. I created a gif from that one as well

Time and Time Again: A repeating theme in Stranger Things
From background references, to soundtrack choices, to story elements, time has been made out to be a significant aspect of Stranger Things. It's led to a lot of theories, some good, some ridiculous, but what is it all leading to?
I have an idea. It's hard to call it a prediction because there's no way to know if it will happen, but it fits within the bounds of the story, I think.
People probably first started to notice the time aspect in season 3 with the prominent inclusion of Back to the Future. It could've passed without significance if not for a drugged Steve and Robin discussing the movie, which brings it to the audience's attention. This led to the earliest speculations that Stranger Things would have a time travel element in the future.
Season 4 brought us the clock imagery, specifically the grandfather clock whose ticking and chimes were used by Vecna while mentally stalking his victims. Again, more time imagery. There's also some possibly significant dialogue, like El's letter discussing how emotions can make time feel like it speeds up or slows down. It's actually the second in-universe letter to mention time, as Hopper's letter at the end of season 3 mentions wanting to "turn back the clock."
El's season 4 arc actually involves her turning back the clock, in a sense. She has to confront her buried past, her trauma, and accept that it happened while letting go of any misplaced guilt. I think how they handled this is a big clue as to how any time-based storyline in season 5 may go down.
Season 4 established that Henry took advantage of people with troubled pasts, things that led to them feeling guilty and wanting to hide their pasts from others. He violently forces them to relive it, complete in a warped, exaggerated manner, seemingly drawing strength from the anguish they experience. It's a clear metaphor for trauma, but the show weaves it into its supernatural elements.
What does this have to do with time, though?
Well...
We know that we're getting flashbacks to 1979, as casting calls were issued for Mike and Will actors who appear 8 years old. They would have been that age in 1979. What else happened in 1979?

Our boy Henry met the Shadow Monster, having been given a first class ticket to Dimension X/The Upside Down/whatever, courtesy of El.
But where did this monster come from?
I think it was Will, not that he knows that. It's his repressed side. His anger, his trauma, his fear, his resentment. It's his literal Shadow, in the Jungian sense. It's been locked away for a long time because Will never dealt with it. He was good at hiding, after all. But this isn't his supernatural trauma. It's a much more real kind.

We know Lonnie is an asshole, even if we don't actually get to see most of it. He's already out of the family's lives by the time the show starts up, only making an appearance because Jonathan goes to his place looking for Will, and then he sticks around to try to cash in on Will's apparent death. It's suggested that Will never truly accepted the fact that Lonnie doesn't love him.
In season 1 flashbacks, Will is still hopeful for Lonnie to come and pick him up, even though it would be for a baseball game. Even though he doesn't like it, he'll take what he can get. We know Lonnie used to call Will gay slurs, hopefully not to his face, but he probably did. Jonathan would also play music to drown out the sounds of Joyce arguing with Lonnie.
What we don't know is when exactly Lonnie left or what the final straw was, but I think I have an idea.
Lonnie left sometime between 1977 and 1982, as he took Jonathan hunting on his 10th birthday and was already living out of the house in the 1982 flashbacks.
Lonnie left in 1979. And he left after a fight about Will.
You may think it's a bit of a stretch, but it fits with what we know. We know that in response to Lonnie leaving, Jonathan and Will went and built Castle Byers. It was a rainy night, they both got sick, and Will could barely hit the nails. They built it exactly the way Will drew it. Will already had this fort planned out. His sanctuary, his hiding spot, was something he thought up before he had ever built it.
I think that the night Lonnie left was the night that Will hid away his pain. He forced it down because facing it was just too much for such a young boy to handle. But it was there. Castle Byers was a time capsule, a museum. It was all of Will's happy memories that he could surround himself with to help mask the pain. It was his hiding spot, both metaphorically, and, in the Upside Down, literally.
Why does the Upside Down look like Hawkins on November 6, 1983? It didn't just happen because El opened a Gate, otherwise it would've looked like Hawkins in September 1979 already from the first time. It's because Will went in there. It became a visual representation of a world full of Will's pain, but devoid of the happiness he could usually find in his friends and family. He was isolated in a world of his trauma, and all he could do was run and hide, again in Castle Byers. However, much like when he tried to do so in season 3, hiding in his carefully curated safe spot wasn't enough. His pain was too great. And Castle Byers would be destroyed both times. You can only hide for so long. The pain will find a way out, sooner or later.
Will has yet to face his past, so the darkness gets stronger and stronger until it can't be contained. Henry is literally wielding Will's dark side, using it against him and his loved ones. It's metaphorical, yes, but, like his Henry's other victims, the show makes it "real" in order to push the supernatural elements of the plot.
In order for the heroes to win this, Will has to take back his pain. And, in order to do that, he has to do what El did. He has to confront those terrible things that happened to him because of his father, everything that made him feel like a mistake. He has to accept it into himself and absolve himself of any wrongdoing. He's not a mistake, regardless of what Lonnie, or anyone else, thinks. Only then will he be able to accept the Shadow Monster into himself, this time as a reintegration instead of a possession, and take back the power he unknowingly gave Henry.
He has to go back to his past, which, while normally a metaphorical phrase, may well be literal within the story of Stranger Things. Be it an induced flashback, a trip through his manifested memories, or some type of literal time travel, Will has to go back, but not to change or "fix" anything. He has to go back to confront and accept what happened and reconcile with the fact that it wasn't his fault.
As for how the show will do this? I have no idea. We know that El can go into people's minds and see their memories, both happy and traumatic. That could be one way. I'm also torn as to whether or not Will needs to go on this journey alone. Stories often depict a hero doing something like this on their own in order to show growth, but having sources of strength on such a journey in real life (metaphorically, of course) is always helpful. For Will, this would be his friends and family, particularly Mike, who he's already described as making him feel like he's not a mistake. But, if this takes place in some type of mind realm, Mike may not be able to accompany him, at least physically. But El could.
So, really, that's what I see as the significance of time imagery, and how it may come into play next season. It's symbolic of people trying to trap painful memories in their past. Henry's clocks symbolize time catching up with them. They can either hide from their pasts, and succumb in the end, or "go back in time" and face it, and come out stronger, and whole, in the end.

Hi Ras. With the first volume of Heartslabyul’s Book 7 arc reaching EN towards the end of this month, I found myself thinking about Cater’s dream again, and I am curious to hear your thoughts on Cater’s dream itself and why you feel it went in the direction it did? Cater’s dream, much like with other fans, really confused me on its direction given what we know about Cater. Thank you!
Wah! So, I hadn't really been paying attention to the EN schedule, and didn't realize that Cater was soon upon us! (Cue me, rushing to complete this ask that I received two weeks ago) So, I ran through the story to give myself a quick refresher. Here's a few of my thoughts as I reread Cater's chapter:
Deuce picked up quickly that there are people in their school uniform, not dorm uniform, for the trial. This shows that Cater's reign as Housewarden is a bit more flexible with the rules than Riddle.
Cater's trial proceedings initially left out many of the more important aspects that make up a normal trial, and he even said the proverbial Queen of Hearts line, "Never mind all that! Get to the part where I lose my temper." Again, he plays it fast and loose, only wanting to do what's enjoyable, not the tedious parts in between.
However, once he reaches the verdict, he still mercilessly commands Riddle to use his UM on the offender. So, despite is more lax demeanor, that doesn't stop him from still being heavy-handed with punishments.
Despite Cater being the Housewarden, Trey(?) still had immense influence over him. He suggested they not skip certain steps of the trial (for the viewing pleasure of the guests), as well as proclaimed it to be Cater's Unbirthday. So, it seems that subconsciously, Cater relies heavily on his friendship with Trey.
Everything that happened above just showcases Cater's usual happy-go-lucky self, albeit with a little bit of power. Now, one of the things that the dream-hoppers speculate when they first arrive in the dream is that it "makes sense" that everyone (Idia saying Heartslabyul, while Leona says the whole of NRC) would want to be seen at the center, as the leader. Leona and Idia are the main source of speculation as to why they think Cater's dream is as it is, commenting that the Heartslabyul of the past was much more unruly and covered in graffiti than after Riddle took control. After seeing how happy Cater and the others are in the dream, Deuce also wonders if Cater was unsatisfied with how Riddle ran things. Leona says who wouldn't be dissatisfied with someone younger coming in and forcibly changing everything to their whim? Idia also chimes in, saying that Heartslabyul before Riddle was practically lawless. Having said that! When it turns out that the Cater they were interacting with the whole time was one of his clones (and a part of the darkness), that honestly cleared everything up for me and threw out all that speculative talk. Yes, this dream was of Cater being Housewarden. Yes, he was still the Cater we know in personality. But it was a clone made out of the darkness that we were interacting with, a fake. The way I look at it, the real Cater couldn't even be bothered to play the Housewarden role even in a dream that's supposed to show his "happy ending." His clones can act independently, so all he has to do is tell one to fulfill whatever duties he needs to, while he slacks off (We see something similar in his PE vignette, too). His inaction here is substantiated by his claim at the end of his dream, that he wouldn't even want to be Housewarden of Heartslabyul. For me, this is my main take away, that they wanted us to keep on seeing Cater's multiple facets. The face he puts on for the show.... And the real self that stayed away from the action. Otherwise, I'd have to conclude that what may have been a nod from the devs to the "Cater is the Former Housewarden" theory just felt a little lack luster by just being told "it was all a fake dream." I'd rather assume it was a bit more deep than that, for us to theorize even more about what Cater is really hiding deep within himself.

Can you provide a scripture, or a creationist point in history, where it says God made intersex people, as the same as man and woman alone.
God does form us in the womb, with an intent of soul, mind, and body, but what happens to us genetically and abnormality wise - while in his control - also is affected by the internal environment of the uterus, and chromosomial factors of the egg and sperm. It's a 1:1 million chance of conception, and the cases for intersex is 1.7%, just like the cases of being born blind, deaf, or with down-syndrome are all dismal. Doesn't mean they're mistakes or God makes mistakes, but each are born with an example of His Glory. Even with intersex people, they're born with a chromosomial abnormality that was in affect mid-development. And intersex people do transition into their binary gender, male or female, once it's understood what is their official sex by evaluation of sexual organs, chromosomial analysis, and hormone levels. Whatever the results state to be dominant, is the dominant sex trait. You can't have a penis and vagina at the same time, just like you can't have a uterus and gonads, and equally high levels of both testosterone and estrogen - one will be a dominant trait and reveal the binary sex of either male or female.
Conversion therapy was never a christianic or biblical practice, as Christ demonstrated you cannot convert man outwardly by mind and body, but man is converted by the spirit and heart. Conversion therapy was a pseudo-science created and divided into 3 development periods: Freudian era, mainstream approval era, and Post-Stonewall era. Considering a lot of Sigmund Freud's theories and unethical practices were based in child sexual abuse, and non-pathological based evidence; those who invented Conversion Therapy took it from the analysis of Freud's false rhetoric about sexuality and it's "pathological" relations. Reminder, both Freud and his analysts were Freemasons and Jewish, so their rhetoric was not based on biblical ethics that Christ demonstrated, but rather speculation and the growing rift of social tolerance versus intolerance towards homosexuals and transsexuals. In the end, it was founded to be an inhumane and humiliating pseudo-science that caused harm to thoudands. It's not modern 2025 Christians fault for the mistreatment and the stereotype developed from that Post-Stonewall era of medical experimentation or dehumanization of homosexuals.
I think in today's societal culture, we can free express our identity and sexual preferences with little to no backlash or psychiatric medical threats - unless you lean into pedophilia, beastality, and rape. Religion is not perfect, but Christ is, and all I can assure is that Christ never commanded or accepted the legalistic approach of conversion. He understood our humane struggles, temptations, and stubbornness.
I don't know what else to tell you, and I have no desire to convince you, that Christ isn't a conversion therapist in the cruel sense we've historically made it out to be. Christ converts the heart of those who accept Him, but accepting Him comes with sacrifice, and as humans we are stubbornly attached to pleasure - straight and gay - and that's what hinders our ability to fully submit to Him as our identity and life. It's not right, but it's a choice, and Christ gave us the way, the truth, and the life to make choices.
People splitting on theology and ethics, do not realize that they're seperating themselves from the body of Christ. Because no matter how many churches you build, how many communions you attend, or how much theology you study, it doesn't mean you're a faithful bride of Christ, nor a denier of self. It just means you live according to fulfilling a law that would never have saved you because you never will fulfill it perfectly. That's why we need Jesus. Not splittjng over our own intepretations of who we wish Christ to be. Christ will judge all of us one day, not the other way around.
No I don't support "queer/progressive christianity" because it's not christianity. The same is I don't support certain aspects of traditions or the concept of denominations in the umbrella of "Christianity", because it is created division where the Gospel is meant to mend. I love my brothers and sisters in Christ, and I respect choices, but as a sole believer and follower of Christ, whom I dedicate my life to, I do not accept what is anti-christ or sold to be in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Carol isn't the Caller
Many people, myself included, has thought that this person on the phone with Kris is Carol Holiday.
However, I no longer believe so.
Let's break down the reasons, one by one.
"But, she was home early! After Kris called about Susie getting the guitar!"
This is one of the most common arguments for Carol Caller. Indeed, it all seems to line up: Carol wasn't going to be home for hours, until the call from Kris sent her rushing back. And her first priority upon entering was to take the guitar away from Susie.
But, is it really that simple?
What if Carol came back for something else entirely, and it had nothing to do with Kris?
Exhibit A: the same segment in Weird Route
On Weird Route, Kris never made the call. And yet, Carol still came home early, asking everyone to leave. Why would she had come if Kris didn't call her?
"How do we know if Kris didn't call offscreen?"
Because on Weird Route, Kris didn't know Susie got to the guitar until later, when they were both outside.
And from Susie's account, we can gleam that Susie went from Dess' room—found guitar—went to living room with guitar, and was held up by Asgore until Carol's arrival.
Meanwhile, we see Kris went from Noelle's room—bathroom, and had a massive crashout upon entering. Said crashout was also interrupted soon after by the news that Carol came home.
If the call did somehow happen, it would leave an extremely small window of time for Carol to come home. She would probably need literal wings for that.
And that's without considering how dissonant and improbable it would be for Kris to notice Susie with the guitar and make a call for it in enormous emotional anguish and rage.
Therefore, I think it's unreasonable to assume that Kris still made the call on Weird Route.
"What if Carol was summoned by Kris on Normal Route, but by someone else on Weird Route?"
That's essentially acknowledging that someone else could have called Carol home. What stops them from also doing so on Normal Route?
So if Kris didn't call Carol home, who did?
Asgore did.
He was, after all, the one who revealed that Carol was coming home early.
We also know that he'd been working with Carol to find out what happened to Dess.
And, on that day, he also happened to have an reason to call Carol.
To show her his latest discovery. A black shard.
Exhibit B: the call from actual Carol at the end of Weird Route Ch.4

And as you can see, her speech was completely normal. Not like the Mysterious Caller's voice at all.
These calls happened at around the same hour in late night. Carol would be in the same place, calling with the same device. If the Caller were Carol, it makes no sense for her voice to be different.
"What if she changed her voice to sound dark and ominous?"
Okay, but why would Carol need to do that? Kris had her contact. They knew who she was either way.
"To obscure her identity from the SOUL? The Caller even knows about Kris' SOUL situation!"
The Caller never framed the SOUL as a threat, though. They even said that Kris cannot enter the dark world without it. And truthfully, the SOUL does not have the sentience to be dangerous on its own; the Player does. And nothing suggests that the Caller knows about the Player.
And, while we're on the topic...
The Caller knew about dark fountains and dark worlds. I highly doubt that Carol knew those things, because if she did, then she was already extremely close to finding her daughter (on the premise that Dess is the Knight). Asgore and her wouldn't need evidence boards like they were still crafting theories, they could just make their own fountains.
So no, I don't think Carol could be the Caller. Which, would also mean that she hadn't been manipulating Kris and holding them to a promise.
"Then, what's with her 'you are always welcome here' to Kris? Kris was even uncomfortable, too!"
I have speculated that Kris saw Dess last.
To Carol, this meant that Kris Dreemurr remained the only person who could provide reliable clues to finding Dess. She was hoping Kris would one day open up, and being nice to them means it'd be more likely to happen.
Kris wasn't comfortable, of course, because the Dessappearance was a deeply traumatizing event that they still feel guilty for. They weren't ready to disclose anything yet.
But, we know that they aren't being harmed by the biggest authority figure in town.

Next Door - Part Fourteen ; A Professor Geto Special
➷ a series
Modern ! College AU ! Okkotsu Yuta Professor! Geto Suguru x Fem! Reader
⋆. 𐙚 ˚ 2.9k words
⋆.ᝰ.ᐟ Summary:
The usual after class consultations with Professor Geto Suguru have always been a safe space for you, not just academically, but also emotionally.
A calm moment in the middle of chaos.
One conversation. One unexpected clarity.
And maybe what you’ve been overlooking all this time were your own feelings.
And oh well...Yuta.
⋆.ᝰ.ᐟ Content:
Emotional Support Prof! Geto, Unresolved Tension, Repressed Emotions
A FEW DAYS EARLIER
The research class with Professor Geto had always been your favorite.
Not just because of the subject but because of him.
The way he spoke, so collected and fluid. The way his gaze would sweep the room lazily yet somehow always land on you when he asked the most complicated questions. You always had an answer, or at the very least, a question that made him pause. You participated often, not just to impress, but because you genuinely cared. And he noticed that, too.
He never raised his voice, never seemed in a rush, never dismissed even the most lost student. He was composed to the point of mystery like someone who made you want to lean in just to understand him a little more.
And over time, a pattern had formed.
After almost every session, you’d stay behind to ask questions. Sometimes it was about the readings he assigned, wanting clarification, wanting to dig deeper. Other times, it was just to confirm your interpretations, challenging his ideas with your own, or sharing a connection you found between the lesson and something you'd read elsewhere.
And then, sometimes… it wasn’t really about the class at all.
You didn’t always realize it, not at first. But it became a habit. A rhythm. Class would end, students would file out, and you would remain seated, notebook still open, as if you had something left to say or something left to hear.
He never stopped you. Never gave you a reason not to stay.
In fact, it had become such a quiet routine that neither of you needed to acknowledge it anymore. The others would glance once or twice when you lingered, but it never turned into gossip. You were a top student. Academically sharp. And Professor Geto? He simply let it happen, welcoming your questions with that same unreadable calm, like he’d already expected you to stay.
Of course, some were the exception, those with wandering minds and nothing better to do. Whispers here and there, light speculation that maybe there was something behind the way he seemed a little more engaged when you spoke. Nothing confrontational. Just passing looks. Offhand comments. The kind that never stuck but never really disappeared either.
You pretended not to notice. And Geto? If he ever did, he simply never let it show.
It was academic, of course. Everything between you operated within the bounds of professionalism, questions about readings, discussions about research, occasional clarifications about theory. But beneath the surface, there was an ease that wasn’t there with most professors. A rhythm. A familiarity that had quietly formed over time.
Professor Geto never pointed it out. But the way his brow would lift slightly when you lingered? The way he'd glance up right before you opened your mouth, already anticipating a question? It felt like he’d grown used to you being there. Maybe even expected it.
He’d lean against the edge of his desk, relaxed, listening in full even when the questions were small. He gave you time. And maybe that was all it ever really was, a small pocket of calm at the end of a long class, shared between student and professor. A space to be heard.
And over time, it became routine.
⋆. 𐙚 ˚
But that day, you didn’t linger.
You didn’t flip back through your notes. You didn’t wait for the shuffle of footsteps to thin out. You didn’t even glance toward the front of the room. Instead, you packed your things quickly and quietly, head down and eyes unfocused. Movements not rushed, but... detached.
No extra questions. No polite goodbye.
Just the soft zip of your bag and the scraping of your chair as you stood to leave blending in with the rest of the class, like you hadn’t carved out your own space here for weeks.
And that? That was unlike you.
You were just about to reach the door when a familiar voice broke through the hum of casual chatter, calm but distinct, just loud enough for only you to hear.
“Heading out without even a thought to share?”
You paused near the door, blinking.
Slowly, you turned.
Most of the room had emptied by then. Just a couple of students lingered near the back, gathering their things.
At the front, Professor Geto rounded his desk with unhurried steps, his expression was calm as always. He rolled his sleeves up past his forearms with practiced ease, then leaned back against the front edge of the table, settled and composed. His gaze found you without hesitation, eyes steady with a quiet, unreadable concern.
Not sharp and not intrusive. Just… noticing.
The same way he always did.
“You usually stay back,” he added, his voice softer and gentler now, but still carrying that quiet authority he never had to raise. “I was almost concerned.”
You managed a polite smile over your shoulder, but it barely touched your face.
“Just tired, Professor.”
You expected that to be the end of it. For him to nod, maybe tell you to get some rest, or remind you about the next deadline.
But he didn’t move. He didn’t glance back at his papers or turn to the whiteboard.
Instead, he tilted his head slightly, brows lifted just enough to shift the air between you. “Sit down for a second.
You hesitated, not out of fear nor discomfort, but because you weren’t sure if you had the energy to pretend everything was fine. Still, something in his tone… calm, steady and sure… that made you stop and made you stay.
With a small exhale, you set your bag down again and crossed the space between you.
You didn’t take your usual spot from earlier in the lecture hall. Instead, you walked towards the front row, the seat closest to his desk, the one you always gravitated to during your quiet, after class exchanges. It was closer to him, easier to speak without needing to raise your voice, easier to be heard.
Geto shifted slightly where he leaned against the desk, folding one arm over the other as he turned just enough to face you better. Not looming, not overbearing. Just… attentive and present.
“You’ve been quiet in class,” he observed, voice easy, but not unkind. “And now you're fleeing before we even get to talk about revisions. That's how I know something’s wrong.”
You let out a small laugh, surprised. “You always notice that kind of stuff?”
“I notice a lot of things.” His smile was faint but unreadable. “You carry stress differently. Most students panic before deadlines but you don’t. You internalize.”
You tilted your head. “You’re observant, Professor.”
“It’s in the job description,” he said, the corner of his mouth twitching ever so slightly. Then, almost absentmindedly, he reached up and gathered his long hair, fingers moving with practiced ease as he tied it back into a loose neat bun.
You almost left it there. You could’ve easily offered a smile, mumbled something about being fine, and walked out. But before you could move to stand, he spoke again, gently, without pushing.
“You don’t have to tell me what it is.” His voice lowered just enough that it felt like the walls of the room folded in closer. “But if you need someone to listen… I’m here.”
There was no pressure behind it. Just space. Quiet, safe, and open.
“I know I’m just your professor,” he added after a beat, his tone thoughtful, “and I make it a point not to intrude into any student’s personal life. That’s not my role. It shouldn’t be.” He shifted slightly where he leaned, fingers brushing the desk’s edge. “But I do care about my students, about whether they’re actually doing okay, not just academically.”
His eyes found yours again, steady and sincere.
“So if there’s something on your mind, anything... I want you to know that I’m someone you can rely on. You don’t have to carry it alone."
The way he said it wasn’t dramatic or emotional. It was quiet, grounded, and real.
The kind of care that didn’t demand anything in return.
Just someone standing still, letting you breathe.
Your breath caught, not from pressure, but from the unexpected warmth in his offer. It wasn’t a professor prying. It wasn’t performative concern. It was sincerity.
And somehow, that made it easier to let the words spill out.
“It’s not the paper, Professor,” you said quietly. “I mean… thank you for the encouragement. But I think I’m just…” You trailed off, struggling to string the thoughts together.
He didn’t rush you.
“Things with someone I really care about got… complicated.”
He didn’t flinch. Didn’t pry.
But something in the subtle shift of his expression told you he already had a vague idea of what this was about. He was perceptive, always had been, and considering how things had been between you and Yuji lately… it wasn’t exactly a well kept secret.
The tension. The way you two gravitated toward each other. The way it all seemed to fray in recent days.
Professor Geto didn’t brought it up, though. Didn’t name names nor danced around the obvious. He just allowed you to speak at your own pace and in your own terms.
“Relationships do have a way of doing that,” he said calmly.
You let out a quiet, tired laugh. “And apparently so do classrooms.”
That earned a small chuckle from him, low and warm. “They do tend to reveal who we are under pressure and it isn't always a bad thing.”
You looked down at your hands, twisting your fingers idly. “I don’t know if I should be fixing it… or walking away.”
There was a pause.
Not awkward. Not empty. Just… reflective. Like he was letting the weight of what you said settle before he spoke again.
Then, softly, “You’ve been carrying a lot. That much is clear.”
He shifted a little against the desk, bracing one palm beside him while the other tugged the last of his sleeve up. “And I know you. You’ll keep carrying it until your hands are full and your back’s breaking.”
His gaze dropped briefly, then met yours again with quiet certainty. “I won’t tell you what decision to make. That’s not my place. But I will say this-”
He paused just long enough to make sure you were really hearing it.
“You’re always allowed to take a break."
You felt your shoulders dip slightly, like the permission alone loosened something tight in your chest.
“You don’t need to earn that. You’re human.”
A soft beat.
“And you’re not alone.”
Something about the way he said it made your throat tighten.
You sat there for a moment, processing, not just the words, but the weight behind them. The quiet sincerity in his tone. The way he gave you space without making you feel like a burden. It was rare… to be seen like that without being exposed.
Your fingers fidgeted with the strap of your bag again, grounding yourself, and then you spoke, barely above a whisper.
“Thank you, Professor Geto.”
He smiled, faint but warm, the kind that didn’t need dramatics to feel genuine.
“It’s really no big deal.” He shrugged slightly, rolling his sleeves up a touch higher as he shifted his weight against the desk again. “I mean it when I say I’m here if you need it. Not just for research consultations or paper drafts.”
You gave him a small smile back, more real this time. Something lighter settled in your chest, even if just for now.
“Still,” you said softly. “You didn’t have to listen.”
“Maybe not,” he replied, his tone easy, “But I wanted to. That’s kind of like a part of being an educator, you know? We don't just teach content but we also create a space where students should feel safe enough to exist.”
He paused, then added in a quieter voice. “You don’t owe me anything for that.”
You nodded, a quiet sort of gratitude sitting between you both now, unspoken but understood.
And then, for a moment, neither of you said anything.
But the silence wasn’t heavy this time, it was warm. Comfortable. You looked at him, and he looked right back, head tilted just slightly, that unreadable but somehow knowing look in his eyes again.
And he smirked, just a little. “There she is.”
You blinked. “Huh?”
“That look. The one you get when you’re about to ask something you already halfway figured out yourself.” He leaned forward slightly, the corner of his mouth tugging upward. “Go ahead.”
You couldn’t help the small laugh that slipped out. A giggle, really. One you didn’t expect to hear from yourself after how the day had gone.
“Okay, okay.” You reached into your bag, pulling out your laptop with familiar ease. “Just a few things I’ve been adding to the research outline. I wanted your input before I dive deeper into this section.”
He straightened up a little, folding his arms loosely as you booted up the screen. He watched with mild curiosity, always patient and never hovering.
Once the document loaded, you turned the laptop slightly toward him, sliding it over the desk’s surface. He leaned down to scan it, one hand bracing himself beside your device, eyes flicking over the paragraphs with that same casual intensity.
“You’ve refined this part.” His brows lifted, impressed. “It’s clearer now and it sounds more intentional to the topic's aim. The connection between your main argument and the case study tightened. That’s good.”
You nodded, feeling a flicker of pride bloom in your chest.
He continued reading, occasionally scrolling down with one finger on the trackpad, pausing at a particularly dense paragraph. “Hm.”
“Too much?” you asked.
“Not too much,” he replied thoughtfully. “But be careful with jargon. You have a strong point here, but if your phrasing gets too academic for the sake of sounding polished, it might weigh down your argument.”
You jotted that down immediately in your notes, laptop still turned towards him.
“That said,” he added, leaning back again, “you’ve clearly been putting in the work."
“Guess Okkotsu and I just really got along well with the topic,” you said lightly, fingers brushing over the edge of your laptop.
It came out with a small smile absentmindedly, like you weren’t trying to impress anyone. Just speaking honestly. Your tone wasn’t boastful, but something softened in your features when you said his name. That kind of quiet fondness people only have when talking about someone who means more than they’re letting on.
Geto caught it.
He didn’t commented on it but he definitely noticed.
The way your voice lifted ever so slightly.
The way your posture relaxed.
The way your eyes, still a little tired from earlier, had a flicker of life now.
“It shows,” he said, standing straight again and folding his arms loosely over his chest. “Your teamwork, at least from what I’ve seen so far has been one of the stronger pairings in the class.”
You looked up at him, visibly brightening at the praise. “We’ve always had a weird way of syncing up when it comes to ideas. Like, I’ll say something half formed, and he’ll just… get it. Then expand on it. And vice versa.”
Geto nodded, his expression unreadable but clearly listening. “Academic chemistry like that isn’t always easy to come by. It’s good to see when it works.”
You gave a soft hum, smiling again without quite realizing it. “I guess we balance each other out. I tend to overanalyze everything, and he’s more intuitive. He pulls me out of my head when I get stuck.”
Geto said nothing for a moment.
He simply watched. Quietly thoughtful.
He’d been teaching long enough to know how to read between the lines. And even if you weren’t saying it outright and weren’t even aware of what you were revealing, there was something unmistakable in the way you lit up just from explaining it.
He didn’t push. Didn’t tease. Just filed the observation away.
Because sometimes, the most telling truths weren’t in what someone said but in how they said it.
You leaned back slightly in your chair, a small smile still tugging at the corners of your lips. “He’s just… easy to work with, you know?”
Your fingers drummed lightly on the keyboard. “Gets me in ways most people don’t.”
There was a beat of silence.
Then, from where he stood, arms loosely crossed and gaze slightly tilted, Professor Geto gave you a look that was partly knowing and partly amused.
"And that’s the part where collaboration starts meaning more than just grades." he said, lips curving into a slow, unreadable smile.
You didn’t exactly understand what he meant that day.
Not in full, anyway. His words had hung in the air like a riddle, clever, effortless and a little teasing. Just another cryptic remark from Professor Geto. One of those things you smiled at, maybe laughed off, and filed away in the back of your mind as you packed up your things and moved on with your day.
But looking back on it now…
You think you finally got it.
The subtle way he said it. The timing. The way his gaze lingered just long enough to make you pause. It wasn’t just about the research, or the easy rhythm you and Yuta had in class. It wasn’t even about romance, not directly.
It was about connection. The kind that sneaks up on you. The kind that feels harmless when you're buried in deadlines and data… until it doesn’t.
You understand now.
How some stories don’t announce themselves with fireworks or confessions.
Some just slip in quietly, between shared sentences, long glances, and lingering goodbyes after class.
And maybe, that was what he was trying to say all along.
Damn, Professor.
Smart. Mysterious. Emotionally intelligent.
He could assign you a 10 page paper and you’d say thank you.

MILEVEN BREAK UP SCENE FOR S5 THEORIES!!!!!
Bear in mind that it is like really damn late so my brain isnt fully working, but I wanted to give yall some juicy theories before I went to bed.
This nice evening we will be going through what I think will happen in s5 with mileven!
- First of all; On what episode should we expect to see a possible mileven breakup + what volume?
Well, to clear off things first, this is how I think the episodes will be divided in s5:
• Volume 1 (26 nov): episodes 1,2,3,4
• Volume 2 (25 dec): episodes 5,6,7
• Volume 3 "the finale" (31 dec): episode 8
*again, this are my speculations, none of this is confirmed!!*
This being said, I think its pretty possible that the mileven breakup scene will happen prior episode 7, but not too early in the season, so in Volume 2, about episodes 5-6, since it is speculated that on that episode (7) we will be getting loads of byler scenes (and a possible kiss), and it wouldnt be quite right for Mike and Will to be having all of that romantic tension in that episodes while Mike is already in a relationship with El.
- Now, with this cleared off, how could the break up scene go?
• Mileven in the trailer of season 5 + leaked mileven scene.
As we all know, we have been show a mileven scene in the trailer. In case someone wants to check, the trailer is up on YouTube and the fragment im about to talk about is in TikTok.
In that scene, we Saw Mike and El sitting in front of an OPENED CLOSET (not a very subtle move there duffers) and they are holding each other's hand, while the other one (El's) is resting on Mike's face, and Mike's other hand seems to be just on the floor. (This sounds hella confusing, idk how to explain it properlly but, again, you have the trailer up on YouTube)
Many mileven stand have started that this scene right here is a love scene, while, for a lot of byers (including myself) have said that this is not a love scene, but more of a "support scene in a way.
You see how El is touching Mike's face, and Mike looks at her in that way, it just screams platonic + its ok not to be ok scene.
• Mileven leak
I have to clarify that a lot of people have tried to read their lips and know what they are saying, and im going to talk about what they are talking about following what I understood, and taking into acount some vids on the theme. This being said:
They seem to be talking about how their relationship is having major issues, This is why I think this is the break up scene, just watch the leak and how everything looks; clear sky, they seem to be in a high place of some sort, and they are alone, so it would be the perfect time to talk about a breakup. We can even see Mike mention Will a few times during this scene. Again, I dont have a lot to say about this scene either, but becouse its really hard to read other's lips, but there are videos on YouTube that explain and theorise over this leak very deeply, so i would recomend checking them out!
- Conclusion...
Ok, so, after all we discused on this post (its almost 1am im loosing my shit) we can say that:
1: Mileven break up scene might happen on episodes 5 or 6 (Volume 2).
2: Trailer mileven scene seems to happen after the possible "breakup scene" in the leak.
3: They break up in s5.
BYLER ENDGAME!

Macaque self-destruction theory
Macaque's death and his final fight with Wukong has been around in the LMK fandom for a while. There is many speculations about what happened exactly, and this is my current theory after re-watching season 5.
I personally believe that Macaque was consumed by his own powers, forcing Wukong to intervene, thus meaning that his demise had nothing to do with the pilgrims.
Before season 5, I was inclined to believe that Macaque's death followed the orignal canon of JTTW, mainly because we didn't have much hints regarding what happened and we could only rely on the canon.
Much of our informations regarding Macaque's death at the time came from season 3 episode 4 "Winning side".
In this episode, LBD confronts Macaque about his insubordination by reminding him of what she did, thus giving us informations about Macaque's past.
She specifically said :
"I who returned you to the mortal plane."
Clearly alluding that Macaque died.
Later on in the episode, Macaque also tells MK : "I had a taste of dying and you know what? Not a big fan."
So there is no doubts that Macaque indeed died and LBD was the one to bring him back, in exchange he had to free her from the tomb with the skeleton key, but as soon as he was brought back, Macaque threw away the key and betrayed her.
During the little montage of pictures showing us how Macaque died, we sees him fighting Wukong.
So clearly Wukong had a hand in Macaque's death. As such, it was easy to draw parallels with JTTW and assume that Macaque somehow attacked the pilgrims (maybe out of jealousy/resentment/feeling neglect) and that's why Wukong fought against him.
But now I have a different opinion!
I) The timeline of Macaque's death.
Macaque's death obviously happened after the brotherhood's failed attempt at dethroning the Jade Emperor.
Considering we also see him argue with Wukong under the mountain in the season 4 specials, we can speculate that he died after Wukong was freed by Tripitaka.
But did he die during the pilgrimage?
I don't think so anymore.
If we take a closer look to the two images of Wukong fight against Macaque (s3 ep4) we can see that Wukong is wearing his Monkey King armor.

However during his pilgrimage Wukong wasn't dressed like this at all. As we can in the season 4 specials :

Moreover, during the fight Wukong is not wearing his circlet. This is for me the most damning evidence that the fight between the two monkeys happened after the pilgrimage.
Now did Macaque die way after the pilgrimage or a few years after its end, we don't really know.
Considering that LMK doens't necessarily always follow JTTW canon (cue the brotherhood members) it's not that crazy to think they changed how Macaque died.
The pilgrimage in itself lasted 14 years. That also means that from the moment he left Wukong under the mountain to the end of the pilgrimage, Macaque was alive and we have no idea what he was doing.
There is more than a decade at play here and we have no idea what this guy was doing.
II) Macaque lost decade of lore.
A) his stay with the brotherhood
In season 4 episode 5 "Court of the Yellow robed demon" we learn through Tang's travel in the scroll of memory that Macaque hung out with the brotherhood for a bit after Wukong joined the pilgrims.

Here Yellow-Tusk says : Now that Wukong has thrown his lot with the celestial host there is no telling where his allegiance lies.
For me here, the "celestial hosts" that Yellow-Tusk is talking about are the pilgrims. They are discussing Wukong being on his pilgrimage and what it means for them.
So this is happening after Macaque and Wukong argument under the mountain.
Peng notice Macaque's quietness and questions him.
Macaque : I just think we should consider all of our options-
Peng : what is there to consider? Wukong made his choice. I say we strike him down.
So clearly Macaque is not agreeing with the others. Even though his friendship with Wukong has already fallen through, he doesn't necessarily wants to attack him, prehaps because he knows that Wukong is a dangerous foe (or bc he's still attached).
For me this reinforce the fact that Macaque didn't search for Wukong to fight, but in fact that Wukong had to intervene and go see Macaque, and that somehow led to their fight.
Macaque has always been a cautious individual. Always warning about the consequences and the dangers of their actions. He wouldn't have seeked Wukong for a fight on a whim.
In season 4 episode 8 "the brotherhood", we learn Azure perspective of what happened.
It's interesting to see that Macaque is not involved in the creation of Camel Ridge City.

And that by the time Wukong is sent to strike down the remains of the brotherhood, Macaque is no where to be seen.

Now if we compare shots of S4ep5 and S4ep8 :

We can clearly see that those are the same places. Meaning, Macaque didn't necessarily helped create Camel Ridge, but he was still with the brotherhood after its creation.
My personal interpretation is that he left when the brotherhood ignored his advice and decided to stand against Wukong, thus explaining why he is not here when Wukong strike them down.
Prehaps influenced by DBK who presumably ditched the brotherhood after the fight against Heaven to stay with PIF, Macaque in turns also decided to abandon this ship.
Timeline :
Brotherhood against Heaven - > Wukong emprisonnement-> Monkeys fight under the mountain-> creation of Camel Ridge City/ Wukong liberation by Tripitaka - > Brotherhood discussing Wukong's stance - > Macaque ditching the brotherhood.
B) Loneliness : the push towards self-destruction.
We know for a fact that Macaque highly valued Wukong compared to the rest of the brotherhood. He made Wukong the center of his universe. As we learn in season 2 episode 7 "shadow play", Macaque had a very "us against the world" type of thinking when it cames to his relationship with Wukong.
Macaque also never truly belonged in the brotherhood. He didn't have the same ideals, was constantly insulted by Peng, and was generally more quiet around them.
So I personally think his "break up" with Wukong under the mountain impacted him way more than we think. It was his whole world crumbling. So much that he seeked company with people he didn't truly like (the brotherhood).
So when he ditched the brotherhood, he was completely alone, save for the wild monkeys on FFM, but despite being charming they don't necessarily brings the company he truly desires.
In the season 4 specials, when Macaque see Wukong's memories, he says "Wukong was on a path of self-destruction, we all were. But when he met the monk, it send him down a different path."
So Macaque admits that he was also on that path. But contrary to Wukong who had Tripitaka saving him from that path, Macaque had no one. This also imply that Macaque didn't have the opportunity to leave the path of self-destruction, and thus that his demise somehow had to do with himself more than anything.
C) Macaque controlled by his own powers.
In season 5 episode 7 "in the pagoda", both monkeys relive their memories of the fight.
Here Wukong says : Macaque stop! Don't make me do this.
While Macaque is laughing maniacally in the background.
For me this imply that Macaque was doing something (most likely destructive) and that Wukong was sent to stop him.
Macaque out-of-character laughter could be a sign of his loss of control.
I personally think that Macaque here was destroying himself, and everything around him. This gathered the attention of Heaven that sent Wukong to stop him. It is also entirely possible that Wukong stepped up himself to prevent Heaven from dealing with Macaque (Heaven's punishment most likely being torture/emprisonnement and Wukong wanting to prevent that from happening to his ex-friend).
But unfortunately, either Macaque was killed by Wukong during the fight or he destroyed himself, leading to his inevitable death.
In season 5 ep 9 "sacrifice", Xianglu asks Macaque "That power, who gave that to you? Who did you make a deal with?", implying that Macaque's powers is not his own.
Macaque response to this is confusion.
For me this imply two theories :
The beginning of the theories are the same : after ditching the brotherhood Macaque made his own journey as a twisted imitation of Wukong's. But instead of Wukong (who was surrounded by friends and seeked peace) Macaque closed himself off and seeked power
1 : there he met someone that gave him chaos powers, but Macaque was unable to truly control them and those powers took over, leading to the fight but also to Macaque's memory loss of this period.
2 : Macaque was born with those powers but because he was never interested in strength, he never seriously trained, and thus had no idea he had those kind of powers. On his lonely journey, Macaque was sinking in self-destructive tendencies, so much that those powers took over him.
In both theories, Macaque lose control of himself and let his powers go crazy. It was most likely a slow process that gradually weathered his mind, so much that he lost some of his memories of it (thus explaining his confusion towards Xianglu's questions).
And that's why I think Macaque's self-destructed, and that Wukong was the unfortunate executioner of this situation.
It's also possible that Macaque's death isn't necessarily that far away compared to the events of LMK. At no points do we see Macaque being confused by modern technology, he's able to perfectly imitate Sandy's van in season 3, get a dojo in season 1 or even get a job at the local theater in season 2.
The things is, Wukong also is not that phased with Macaque's reappearance. In fact when he talks about Macaque, he never mentions death.
Season 5 ep1 "Strings that bind" :
Wukong : what about you, you just came back.
It's interesting to see that Wukong refers to Macaque resurrection as "coming back". It's possible that Wukong is not aware of Macaque's death, and that during their fight, Macaque managed to get away and that afterward his powers killed him.
But somehow, it also seems as if Macaque believes Wukong killed him?
Prehaps, the person that gave Macaque his powers assumed Wukong's appearances and killed him off after the fight.
Or Heaven itself found Macaque and killed him off after the fight while assuming Wukong's appearances.
There might be a third party at play here.
Macaque at the time was in a highly unstable state, he wouldn't have seen through the disguise.
And that sums up my theory for the monkeys fight! As of now, I don't think the pilgrims were involved. And I think there is a lot we have yet to learn about Macaque's powers.

Haha 'Cherry' is just the tip of the iceberg. The very large, very VERY bizarre iceberg.
(Get ready for a LONG ramble because I always lamented the fact that Megaton Man is a country-specific meme & will take any chance to talk about it)
So, I already explained a lil about <메가톤맨(Megaton Man)>'s origins in the screenshotted tags above. Megaton Man got cut short in the middle of Vento Aureo(it apparently ended around the Grateful Dead & Beach Boy episodes BTW, I got it wrong earlier), because the official, actually-legally-approved Korean translations were starting to come out AND copyright laws were finally cracking down on bootleg prints of mangas. So we never got to see Vento Aureo or Stone Ocean's full Megaton potentials, though I have seen fans make FAKE MEGATON MAN PAGES. I think someone made a few pages of SBR too(keeping true to the spirit of Megaton Man by renaming Johnny to 'Johnnyjo'), and someone else made a few fake pages of the Kishibe Rohan spinoffs and JoJolands. (FYI, Rohan's Megaton Man name is '키팅(Keating)'. Not sure what people can do with this information, but I thought it was funny.)
ANYWAY. I'm gonna mostly focus on SDC here, because the original post was about Kakyoin.
The SDC quotes are probably the most popular among Megaton Man memes, because, well, it's got five people(and one dog) in the main gang spouting the most insane lines that have ever been spoken in manga history(probably). Plus, SDC has got the most serious JoJo paired with the most flamboyant villain(who had already reached legendary status thanks to the astronomically whack Megaton Man Pt. 1) after all.
Regarding some of the name changes: Dio/DIO(the mentally ill)'s* name wasn't changed- though the official translation calls him 'DIO' in English, and Megaton Man just calls him '디오'(Dio) normally- but Jotaro was renamed to, as I said in the screenshotted tags above, '죠죠찬(Jojochan)'. We the fans are tentatively speculating that it's either because the translator(who was clearly not trying, and likely also didn't speak enough Japanese to make good translations) thought Holly calling Jotaro "JoJo-chan" was his actual name, or since they weren't allowed to keep the Japanese names, they thought they might as well reference Jackie Chan. The Jackie Chan Reference theory is also supported by the beginning of SDC being set in Hong Kong.
(*: Megaton Man reference. The <DIO's World> chapter title was translated to <DIO THE MENTALLY ILL(정신병자 디오)>. Sorry, I just couldn't resist lol.)
Kakyoin was renamed '체리(Cherry)' for very obvious reasons, but HIEROPHANT GREEN was called multiple names like "와이키키(Waikiki)" and "그라프(Graff)". Yeah, we don't know what the fudge happened either.

Avdol got renamed "Atol(아톨)", which was probably a translation error the translator couldn't be bothered to fix. Magician's Red(매지션즈 레드 in the official translation) got shortened to "매드(Mad)". No, I am not joking. Polnareff became "Pol(폴)". 폴 is also the Korean spelling of the name 'Paul', so Polnareff's name sounds normal at the very least. Silver Chariot was '실버 전차(silver chariot- except 실버 is how you spell the English word 'silver' in Korean and 전차 is the Korean word for 'chariot')', '실버의 옷(Silver's Clothes)', or '실버의 칼(Silver's Sword)'. Hermit Purple became '하플(Harple)'. Joseph was, thankfully, just '죠세프 영감(old man Joseph)'. He gets called Jonathan a few times though.
STAR PLATINUM THOUGH. Star Platinum was called- get this- "Jojochan Platina".
Star Platinum's original Japanese name, and his officially translated Korean name, is "Star Platina", since 'platina' is what the Japanese call platinum. Megaton Man's translator, for some godforsaken reason, FULLY DELETED the "Star" part of Splat's name and put Jotaro Jojochan's name there instead, dubbing him "Jojochan Platina", or just plain "Platina" for short. This carries on to DIU.

(Wait. I just realized Megaton Man misspelled "Platina" here. What the fudge.)
The word "Stand" in general was also translated unsystematically. They were called Shadows and Puppets and Evil Spirits(probably from Jotaro calling Splat an evil spirit on his first appearance)- and sometimes even the STAND USERS were called Evil Spirits. Mariah, for instance, was called "Woman Evil Spirit(여자악령)' or 'Magnet Evil Spirit(자석악령)'.
...I wrote so many paragraphs, and that's just about (a few of) the name changes.
Megaton Man SDC has many, MANY absolutely golden lines. Including Jojochan saying "으이그 징그러워~(Ew gross~)" at seeing the fleshbud for the first time, Atol's extremely out-of-pocket yet somehow SAVAGE comeback at Jojochan insulting him(this one needs quite a bit of cultural background explanations, I'll explain it in-depth if ppl want to hear more), and DIO's "그럼 나의 월드 맛좀 쬐끔만 보거라!(Then have a tiny taste of my World!)". No, I didn't forget the "The" from The World. It's just called World. Later it gets called My World, but this line wasn't quite there yet.

The mistranslations are such a huge meme because they completely ruin some scenes(mostly the serious parts), but absolutely make others. The original post of the screenshotted tags, for instance. It's originally just a passing gag scene with Kakyoin bickering with Polnareff. Megaton Man made it into a whole meme that's regularly quoted all over the Korean fandom. Jotaro and DIO's Ora Ora/Muda Muda scene, on the other hand, became- I'm laughing just thinking about it- a whole conversation between Star Jojochan Platina and The My World.
Kakyoin Cherry's most famous scenes include "난 정신이 너무 너무 말똥말똥하니까 나에게 뭘하려면 일찌감치 포기하는 게 나을것이다(My mind is very very clear so if you want to try something [fishy] with me you'd be better off giving up early on)" (during the Terence D'Arby fight) and the aforementioned "Miss Cherry" scene.

If you ask any Korean JoJo fan to quote some of their favorite lines, it's nearly a given that they will quote at least one Megaton Man line. Sometimes it's not even a conscious choice. That's how big an impact Megaton Man had. SDC especially, with its popularity as well as its abundance of crazy Megaton quotes, is referenced in so many fan creations. Heck, I saw at least three "How many JJBA Quotes Do You Know" quizzes that included Megaton Man quotes. Parody comics reference Megaton Man as much as- and sometimes more than- the source material.
Anyway yeah I've been writing this post intermittently for like half the day now, so I should probably end this here. ISTG though, if I ever get my hands on full copies of Megaton Man, I'm gonna try translating it into English. Megaton Man is not only difficult to find(what with being a discontinued bootleg and all), but it's also so revered in the fandom that it sells for much higher prices than the official mangas now. I heard a manga café in 광주(Gwangju) has the full set(though apparently they don't have the official JJBA mangas- true to the bizarreness of JJBA and Megaton Man I guess), so if I can find the time and money to visit sometime, I may be able to whip up something; no definite promises though.
....So, yeah, that's Megaton Man for you. A small part of it, at least.

Hey op you can’t just leave this in the tags. This is genuinely fascinating I love translations / localizations like Duwang so it’s interesting to hear another cultures version of it. Also the fact kakyoin’s name was translated to cherry is so funny. It’s also interesting to see who different fandoms can be depending on where in the world you are. A joke popular in one place could not exist in another and that fascinates me.
#I rambled so much lol#I hope ppl find this pile of word vomit fun at least#ALSO all photographic evidence is pulled from 나무위키(NamuWiki). 나무위키 is the Korean equivalent of fandom wikis except crossbred with Wikipedia#megaton man#WAIT WHY IS THIS A TAG#jojo no kimyou na bouken#jjba#jojo's bizarre adventure#stardust crusaders#kakyoin noriaki#메가톤맨

the lovers, reversed
(aka I'm still freaking out about Jou)
#art#ride kamens#i am about to go off on wild speculation so excuse me in advance#I HAVEN'T PLAYED THE EVENT YET so this could all be just absolutely nothing but i gotta get it out#(still debating if i wanna save the event for after i finish part 2 or not...)#this is my last chance to throw wacky theories out there okay#i've just. been thinking a lot about the riders the characters are based on and how they relate to their different classes#like the choices seemed SO random when they were first revealed but they do mostly make sense when you think about it#to the point where i actually do feel like i should've been able to call ooo for ambition. damnit.#however i did always feel like jou was a bit of an outlier and now i'm wondering if that's gonna be like...a thing#idk man just the fact that he's gonna have a special double card and bond henshin with taiten is nuts to me#especially since we're clearly on the verge of SOMETHING happening with soun and uryuu#what does it mean. WHAT DOES IT MEAN#what does this mean for the future of tower emblem#and it hasn't escaped me that there is no class associated with evolution (YET)#and thinking about who jou is based on i'm just like#(waves hands) YOU KNOW?!#(plus i'm still like WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR RUI AND HAYATE but that's a separate thing)#i'm gonna try and take my time and not rush through part 2 but i also am SO impatient#i gotta knooooow#given the way my predictions tend to go though i'm either 100% accidentally right about the dumbest thing#or jou is fine but leon fucking dies or something and i'm gonna throw my phone into a lake#HAVE FUN GUYS I GUESS

Does Isa saw the red shade like how siffrin does or he saw a different shade?
It would still be red! Reading the Ka Buan book on colors it mentions that the shade is visceral, like destruction, something breaking. And I feel like that isn't something connected to Sif specifically. And what more visceral shade then red.
#I'm also a firm believer that the red shade shows up when a wish is breaking#I know that's not what everyone's take it but it's how I see it#That colors are inherently connected to Wish Craft and that Red is specifically *when it breaks*#I keep thinking that it'd be fun if I could use other colors for other instances for a wish?#Sadly I don't think making the wish or having it granted would result in a color given that we see both of those things happening#(Start of the game and King's wish getting fulfilled at the end#Sifs granted wish is up for debate but not King's)#So maybe something like- Denouncing your wish? Maybe that'd be blue or something.#Or when your wish shifts and changes and morphs? Maybe that's orange? Something like that!#And I keep thinking that if Colors are connected to the country and Wish Craft- what made them also dissapear?#Cause they probably DID dissapear from the world and not just the characters being colorblind-#Given that they all see the red shade (but you could argue that if the Red is wishcraft it could potentially pierce through their#Colorblindness)#And colors are speculated to have dissapeared a LONG time ago. Long before the country dissapeared-#Cause the country itself must have dissapeared like- 10ish 15ish years ago.#But maybe people forgot? And since it's connected to the country they all forgot they used to see colors?#Odile did say it was a recent discovery#I just keep thinking about Sifs "something tells you you should remember them [colors]''#ANYWAY THATS JUST MY OWN THEORY RANTING#But that is the way it works in irac at least#isat spoilers#in stars and time spoilers#sharky asks

That gets the military involved ? And they all get exposed to it ?#Eddie coming back to LA not entirely sure Why but he could also get his new NDE and leads to Buddie canon God bless#jation 911 brainrot

just realised i haven't hyperfixated on anything since succession ended, which was... what, a year and a half ago? i haven't felt motivated to write fanfiction or engage in fan communities since then. can't help but wonder if maybe that's why i've been feeling so weird and flat. i know it sounds corny but i really miss Feeling Things about fictional characters
#maybe succession fried my neural pathways and made me unable to enjoy media ever again#i think it had something to do with the fact that it was still airing when i got into it?#nobody knew what was going to happen and everyone was so active with theories and speculation#my dash would explode every time a new episode dropped#and it was the same thing with TMA (hyperfixation predecessor)#bingeing a show that's already out just doesn't hit the same

a fading wash of sunlight

So. This is a retired event, where the bazaar started emitting light for a few hours. At one point a voice is heard, and it seems to be the Bazaar (I mean, look at the echoing!)
This is also the event where you could release your dark carapaced crustacean into the light, and it would emerge gilded and giggling like a school girl.
The event is retired and old, so it's hard to say "this information is still fully canon to the universe", but the Bazaar's speech here is really really interesting.
Here's my rampant speculation:
I think the bazaar is talking to Sol, maybe in her sleep or something: the wash of sunlight is coming from the bazaar, but the Bazaar is acting like Sol has appeared unexpectedly and she's scrambling to implore it to Understand something. I think the fading wash of sunlight is a Day-dream, is what I'm saying
"these are my children/this is my light" "this is the Sun who commands run below"
I think light is law here and the bazaar might be comparing itself to a sun. I've been long into the idea the bazaar has aspirations of ascension, as being a judgement is the only way they could legally be together. it might be saying here 'look! I have a world of my own, my own law, my own kingdom, like you'. With the MOTR:

we get the Bazaar's feelings after London just fell. It seems a bit depressed in general but is tired of running and being a Courier. It wants a place of its own. But we know it doesn't ONLY want that, or it would stay in the Neath and chill.
"The one who denied" is likely the. One who said NO to sol, which prompted the bazaar to do All This Shit.

this and

this from 7th letter are all we have about this Other Sun. We don't strictly know it was a love letter, that just makes thematic sense (and the bazaar seems jealous)(and it would work for "love's enemy" of course)(It probably was a rejected love letter but I like to point out alt interpretations and how little we know total)(I got into suncrab out of spite you know initially. I realized the fandom had given me a false idea of the relationship which simplified it to a black/white "sun dickhead bazaar pathetic". So I thought about alt readings of them until I got into it)
Also, note the Bazaar rocking up to the Pheonix like "wait you don't want your flame?? 👀 is it free? Free fire 🔥??"
I'm not sure what "but the enemy, love, is the last we shall see". Beyond 'enemies of love' being the forces which keep them apart. Their relationship is forbidden because of the oppressive laws of the Chain. If their relationship is found out, they and their daughter will be put on trial and sent to some judgement torment nexus.
It makes a promise that All shall be Well. I think the Bazaar's motto might be an echo of what the sun has said to it before. It repeats "all shall be well" constantly without having much luck ensuring that (see: axile). I don't think it has failed to keep All Well on purpose, I think he is basically muttering this promise as a lifeline. Echoing and hoping it'll be true.
and then "Crown me with a knot of flames, my love, my love"
Crown being a word of royalty/ascension. what 'flames' means in FL I'm not sure, but it here is suggestive of 'make me a judgement'.
Then it apologizes... "Forgive my trespasses" a bit late after asking to be crowned. What trespass? Something it did angered the sun but it wasn't punished or killed either.
Elsewhere in a lacre vision: "You dream, feverishly, of a bright light in a long lone empty place; of a gift given and a gift rejected; of the one you love moving away, inevitably as the motions of an orrery, distant as childhood." and elsewhere is it repeated the sun rejected the bazaar.
I think the gift rejected is love, and the bazaar's trespass was something in the confession of that love.
It continues "the fire and the rose are one"-- if the bazaar wishes for a fire crown, does it wear a rose one now? Roses are love, follies, devils, temptation, desire.... is the bazaar trying to prove a point that love is an equal force to fire? Love and feeling are as powerful as law and the fabric of the universe? More powerful?
Anyway thanks for coming to my BazaarTalk. For the 15th anniversary we should get this event back but better (it was hourly so few peoplegot to see all of it). And more.
#fallen london#suncrab#fallen london spoilers#Theories#I have a lot of stray theories I want to collect one day about. I love broad speculating!!!#I get nervous (end of sentence) bc fl is sooo open to interpretation I know I am biased to look to (crab)love always#But there is a lot of stuff where I'm like “I THINK THIS IS SOMETHING” but it's way too open ended to be a proper “theory”#For example I have a couple fun ideas about the Prester's appetite. I have a not fun idea about what happened to Stone regarding the ToF
