im booting my ~new laptop~ for the first time (one of the new thinkpads with the qualcomm arm in it) and i heard the linux experience is a little rough still (plus i have windows games i want to play that i can't get to work with proton) so i was like no problem i'll just dual boot windows

guys. between endless "setting things up for you :)" throbbers and needing to look up how to Fucking do anything Without Making A Goddamn Microsoft Account i swear this has taken longer than it would have taken me to just obliterate windows and install ubuntu. why do we TOLERATE LIVING LIKE THIS !!!

(and by we i mean other people mostly. personally, other than briefly in 2018 when i needed to use some windows-only motion capture software for an internship, i haven't used a windows machine since the desktop i had when i was a preteen that dual booted winXP and ubuntu 10.04.)

Her reserved nature concealed someone who chose to be covert in doing what she felt was right.#I love you JYL and your kindness and generosity despite her status. no but the erasure of brienne's canonical features must be studied. what's with this chronic incapability of accepting that ur faves dont have to be hot in this fandom like. brienne being seen as ugly and unfeminine is pretty integral to her character theres a reason she's mocked as the beauty theres a reason why she started rejecting femininity and feels hurt by it. so much of the misogyny she faces stems from her not fitting the westerosi ideal by not being 'womanly enough', by being too muscular and flat chested and tall and having brittle hair and broad 'manly' features and thats the tragedy of it. brienne shouldn't have to be othered by people for things she cant control but she is and that refusal to accept brienne is what shaped her into what she is when we meet her in a clash of kings. the moment u go 'umm actually ☝️ shes only ugly by westeros standards she wouldn't be seen as ugly today' is when u miss the point. modern day brienne wouldnt fit our standards either because her entire story begins with her being different and an outlier and to keep brienne of tarth as herself u have to keep that too otherwise its not her, its an oc masquerading as brienne the blue
