Favorite recent neymessi moment or interview in the last couple of years (excluding copa America )
I thought Leo and Ney’s reunion after Leo came back from vacationing from his WC win was such a good moment. Of course for the obvious reasons that they hadn’t interacted for a solid month or so, but I feel like I noticed a shift in the relationship when Leo came back.
Of course, pre-WC Leo and Neymar were extremely close (that’s evidenced by their extremely affectionate celebrations on the pitch every game since PSG was literally undefeated before the WC).
But once Leo came back
. idk. I feel like there was such a STRONG shift in their energy.
Initially when Leo joined PSG, it was clear that he and Neymar were close because of their Barca days, and Neymar was one of his only friends in the club (Lea and Angel too but Leo practically came for Neymar). But as the months went along, Leo got comfortable with more people, developed a strong friendship with Verratti, and Neymar was still super close to Kylian and Marquinhos.
Ofc they had their neymessi moments, but they had other friendships apart from each other that outwardly appeared to be just as strong.
But after the World Cup, Neymar was so sad (and understandably so). Ofc he wasn’t a sad sap in every training or on the field, but his attitude didn’t have the same cheerfulness as it did before.
But when Leo came back? It was interesting
I’m huge on body language, and just seeing their interaction for the first time post-WC was again interesting. Of course there was the look of “I missed you! Welcome back!” But it was SO much more that just that — on both ends too!
We all saw how Leo greeted everyone when he came back, but his greeting of Neymar was soooo different from everyone else’s. It was like the feeling of relief washed over both of them when they saw each other again. Neymar smiling the biggest he had in weeks, Leo hugging him and taking him in as he closed his eyes, their hug lingering a couple milliseconds longer than usual. AND IT’S THOSE MINUTE DETAILS THAT ARE SOOOO HUGE. You’d have to rewatch the clip to see what I’m talking about. But once you do, you can just see that feeling of relief wash over Leo. Maybe he was nervous to see Neymar again? But once he did see him, he just seemed to revert back into a really relaxed state.
Tumblr media
And of course the photos came out afterwards, and just how they were looking at each other
I don’t know. Again, it’s all about the eyes, and you could just see it between the two of them. The feeling of being “at home” with someone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^^ im actually obsessed with this photo (the eyes)
Of course Leo quite literally felt “at home” with Argentina and winning the World Cup, but returning to Neymar seemed to bring him a sense of calmness that juxtaposed from the high-intensity celebrations post-winning. And I’m not sure about Neymar
but I think that Leo’s presence calmed him and his mind from the agony over his World Cup loss.
I feel like that whole moment when they saw each other again was encompassed by serenity. And ever since? They’ve practically been INSEPARABLE. It’s honestly insane. It’s like a month apart did a number on those two.
Before the WC, they weren’t always training partners all the time. But after their reunion, they were constantly next to each other in practice or during pre-match warmups.
I literally don’t know why their dynamic seemed to have shifted once Leo came back, but it did. Maybe it was like a nostalgicly bad remembrance of them being apart for so long after Ney left Barca?
Again, I’m not sure. But literally everyone has been saying over the past month or two that Neymar is kinda clinging onto Leo, but I also see it conversely as well. Leo is always much more subtle than Neymar, but you can catch him in trainings kind of idly staring at Neymar just to see where he is in proximity to him. Again, very subtle, but the subtleties with Leo are actually what make them the opposite. You just have to look closely.
So as a whole, that moment is definitely my favorite, because I feel like the distance and maybe somberness on Neymar’s end made them even more close than before. And it’s honestly a shame given all the transfer rumors and things that are going around right now and the fact that PSG is in a major slump.
I’m sorry that this was superrrrr long, but it’s been on my mind for a while. If any of you read this whole thing, I really appreciate it! ❀
As for interviews, boyyyyy are there a lot. I have some clips in my camera roll, so I’ll be sure to post those soon!
This was very therapeutic for me anon, so much thanks for asking this question đŸ«¶đŸŒ

March 28, 2023 Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica
With a 9:00 AM time to set off this morning, we were able to have a lovely lie-in (Jillebob), coffee time (Seb’s usual early start, having awakened naturally) and leisurely breakfast. Breakfast was traditional Costa Rican fare including beans and rice, queso, tortilla, eggs and fruit.
We set out for the closest road with an adorable guide: spikey hair and a machete on his hip. After hearing from Antony about how bad the road is, the next thing thing we knew we were jumping into two seats built in high on the sides of a pick-up truck with a flimsy railing around (and of course no such thing as a seatbelt). It would have been difficult to climb up to the seats, if not for a little step ladder the driver kept back with the seats. The bumpy, dirt road went steeply up and down, with pull-offs from the parts that were single lane in case a vehicle came the other way. With a lovely breeze, it was the most relaxing bumpy, sometimes perilous drive either of us could remember. We arrived at Wilber’s place, a 100-acre homestead. He took us down to get a glimpse of one of the two waterfalls we’d walk to. We stood for a bit and when Sebbie joked about coming from Virginia near Washington where the crazy people are, we got into a discussion of politics. It was quite interesting not only to hear his views, but to hear – even in the seeming wilds of Costa Rica - how much interest and knowledge he had of American politics! Wilber’s uncle and a Canadian friend (with wife and son) were hanging out and we chatted a bit about more mundane issues while he served us fresh lemonade and watermelon. Wilber’s brother, Alberto, was visiting and was our guide for the day. We set off first for the lower waterfall, down a path with crazy mud stairs and slippery stones. Very pretty. While it didn’t seem so long, we were both dripping from the effort and humidity. Back up and over a hill, we proceeded to a river that became the path because it’s the dry season and only shallow water meandered back and forth across the rocky river bed. We walked through, in and across in the water, which felt refreshing. We were in the midst of tall cliffs, and towering trees and vines covered in lush green foliage. Voila – Nahuala Falls. Several tiers with a lower and an upper pool. The rock scrambling to the upper pool (Jillebob coaxed on by Sebbie) was only marginally slippery and treacherous, but the swim in the pool (Sebbie coaxed in by Jillebob) was worth it: heaven. At one point, Alberto asked if we could get ourselves back. Moment of panic – what? He’s leaving us here? Turns out he was being polite in case we wanted privacy. No, skinny-dipping is NOT our thing. Alas, as nice as Alberto was (while he waited to make sure we got home), his photography skills were lacking. He took multiple photos of us in front of the falls, all of which are blurs (for the record, third time this trip that gracious efforts yielded impressionist results). After a good cool-down in the upper pool, we climbed down to the lower pool and went in again.
The walk back was lovely until Seb realized she was without her watch. Alberto went back to look for it on the rocks. Then Seb went back to help look. Then Alberto went back to where Jillebob was waiting to get Seb’s iPhone to see if it could call the watch. The Canadian family showed up with snorkeling gear and looked for it in the pool, and only then, did Alberto spot it – having slipped under a leaf. Whew! Pretty harmless drama for the day!, Back at Wilber’s place, he served us lunch (Mahi Mahi, rice and beans, sautĂ©ed veggies and more lemonade). Hit the spot and then we hung out swinging in hammocks until our driver showed up. He delivered us safe and sound to the end of the road, and in this case we WERE able to get ourselves back to the Copa – just keep the sea to the left.
Today was not as energy sapping as yesterday, but ah, it was nice to sprawl on our respective beds for a piece. And, you know what’s next: Hora Feliz. With Whiskey Sours on offer. Mauricio was tending bar and seemed a little scattered, but the drinks were tasty. (No peanut-stealing monkeys visited this evening.) This really is the life.
The meals have been good, but tonight’s dinner was the best we’ve had here – nice way to end our stay. We got last minute instructions for tomorrow’s departure. Tonight, the Halloween crabs were scurrying around our shoes that were drying by the entry to the room. We had to do thorough inspection since a couple tumbled out of Jillebob’s shoe when she picked it up. Most wildlife is protected here and exporting the little crabs in our luggage would not be advised. Finally, a partial packing job before hitting the pillow.

For Canada, this Gold Cup has lost its lustre
Depleted men's team competes for continental soccer championship
The biggest event in soccer this year is the Women's World Cup, which kicks off in just over three weeks in Australia and New Zealand. In the meantime, there's a sizable men's tournament happening in this part of the globe. The CONCACAF Gold Cup — the continental championship for North and Central America and the Caribbean — is underway now, primarily in the United States.
The Gold Cup holds a special place in Canadian soccer history. Its precursor, the CONCACAF Championship, once served as the region's qualifying tournament for the World Cup. Canada won it in 1985 to earn its first World Cup appearance the following year. The next generation's defining moment came at the 2000 Gold Cup, where Canada surprised everyone by lifting the trophy for the first (and still only) time with a 2-0 victory over Colombia in the final in L.A.
Canada's chances of reaching its first Gold Cup final since that incredible run seemed pretty strong after the men's team topped CONCACAF's World Cup qualifying tournament en route to its first World Cup appearance since 1986 last year in Qatar. But that effort, along with Canada's run to the CONCACAF Nations League title match in Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago, ended up sapping the team's Gold Cup hopes.
Coach John Herdman announced shortly after his team's loss to the United States in the Nations League final that most of his best players will not be available for the Gold Cup. They need time to recover from a long European club season with a World Cup dropped into the middle and the Nations League Finals tacked onto the end. Alphonso Davies, Jonathan David, Cyle Larin, Tajon Buchanan, Alistair Johnston, Ismael Kone and, just yesterday, Stephen Eustaquio were taken off the roster. Longtime captain Atiba Hutchinson is also missing after retiring following the Nations League final. Several U.S. players are skipping the Gold Cup too, including star midfielder Christian Pulisic.
Herdman will still have goalkeeper Milan Borjan, midfielder Jonathan Osorio and a few others you'll know from the World Cup team. But the coach said he'll use the Gold Cup to get some of his "young lads" a bit of international experience as Canada approaches qualifying for the upcoming Copa America.
The intensely competitive South American championship, featuring World Cup champion Argentina and perennial power Brazil, is being hosted by the United States next summer and six CONCACAF teams will be invited. Those will be decided in the 2023-24 Nations League, which kicks off in September. Canada has a bye to November's quarterfinals, where a win will earn them a spot in the Copa America.
Qualifying for the Copa America is vital for the Canadian men because the tournament is a rare chance for them to compete against quality opponents ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which Canada is co-hosting.
Canada Soccer, currently engaged in labour disputes with both the men's and women's national teams, says it's so broke right now that it may not be able to schedule international friendlies for either squad this fall, making tournament play more important than ever. The women can attest to what happens when the tuneup matches are left to Canada Soccer. They were afforded just one friendly this calendar year in preparation for the World Cup: a match in France back in April.
Despite their depleted roster, the Canadian men shouldn't have much trouble reaching the knockout stage of the Gold Cup. The world's 47th-ranked team opens group play tonight at 7 p.m. ET in Toronto vs. Guadeloupe, which does not have a world ranking because it is not a member of FIFA. Canada then travels to Houston to complete its group-stage slate vs. No. 116 Guatemala on Saturday and No. 165 Cuba next Tuesday.
The top two teams from each of the four groups advance to the quarterfinals on July 8 and 9 in Arlington, Tex., and Cincinnati. The semis are on July 12 in Las Vegas and San Diego. The final goes July 16 at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium, the hyper-modern venue that hosted the Super Bowl in 2022.

Writer Meme
Since I don’t have to go in to work today and can have a lazy morning! Tagged-ish by @fontainebleau22:P
What is your word count on AO3?
605759. We’re having a party if that ever hits a million
How often do you write?
When I have a story on the go I can generally get a bit out every workday, more on weekends. But I can draw a blank for months if I’m not feeling motivated. And I was just looking at my ao3 to track the phases of my Mag7 fics and I can’t believe I wrote Blue Devils, Desert Sand, Ashes, River Grit, In the Pines, and Pens & Swords in the space of THREE MONTHS. That is nuts. Also said phases of writing:
Phase 1: Canon-era western love stories
Phase 2: Chisolm’s 7
Phase 3 (now): Weird AUs :P
Do you have a routine for writing?
Usually starting by picturing the fic idea in my head. Daydreaming a lot about it and seeing what scenes come out of it until I can picture how the whole fic should feel. Then getting down an outline of all the scenes I want it to have in the order I feel they should be in. And then sitting down and writing those scenes in order! As for the actual writing, I seem to work best in cafes. There’s just so much less accountability at home!
What are your favorite kinks/tropes/pairings?
Kinks: Stealing fontainebleau’s ‘I’m an extremely vanilla writer: my thing is gentle emotional sex’ answer haha. Sometimes it feels right to be more explicit or kinky, it really just depends on the mood of the scene/characters. I’m not saying I don’t have particular kinks lol, but generally I find non-explicit ‘fade to black’ sex scenes are a lot hotter than they get credit for:P
Tropes: I usually tend to go for more upbeat fics. I think most of my fics tend to be comedies at heart, at least that’s how I feel about them
Pairings: Goodnight/Billy are my angel-muse-honeychildren-husbands and they are the best ship in the world. THEY’RE JUST SO CANON IT HURTS
Do you have a favorite fic of yours?
Probably RIver Grit. I think Ashes is technically my best Mag7 one though.
Your fic with the most kudos?
My Kingsman AU actually, called ‘Out of Left Field’. A British-football romantic comedy between a referee and a player, which was inspired entirely by watching Kingsman on a plane to Colombia, and then watching a lot of the Copa America while I was there haha (all about the wires crossing). That’s such a huge fandom that I was amazed it made any impact at all. Desert Sand is not far behind though, which pleases me since that one’s my ‘feisty little rollickin’ western that could’
Anything you don’t like about your writing?
Sometimes I worry I resort to cliche too much. I’m a sap and like the traditional beats of a romance story, but I worry it gets predictable. And sometimes I get sick of the sound of my voice while I’m writing lol, like ‘do you ever word things differently?’ I think every writer dreads too much repetition of their go-to turns of phrase, but maybe that’s an unfounded fear
Now, something you do like?
I usually like the pacing of my fics, and I find they each have a clear visual style. That doesn’t mean the reader finds them visual haha but I do:P
Also tagging anyone who’s down!

Remembering Amadeo Carrizo, River Plate’s revolutionary goalkeeper
A big thank you to the great Mouhamad Rachini who wrote the following about the late great Argentine goalkeeper Amadeo Carrizo who passed away just a few days ago. Make sure to follow Rachini on Twitter at ThatArabKeeper!
–
When we think back to the iconic goalkeepers of the 1950s and 1960s, we often focus on two Europeans; Lev Yashin of the Soviet Union and Gyula Grosics of Hungary
For obvious reasons, these two are often credited with being the first modern goalkeepers. Yashin was well-known for his organizational skills, his vocal and physical command of his box, and for his eagerness to play off of his line. And Grosics was a big proponent of the sweeper-keeper style of play, and his willingness to handle the ball and act as an eleventh outfielder allowed Hungary to dominate international football in the early 1950s.
But while Yashin and Grosics were excelling in Europe, on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, another goalkeeper was captivating South American audiences with his own brand of daring, revolutionary football. This was before the era of Hugo Gatti, René Higuita and José Luis Chilavert; in fact, those goalkeepers have cited him as being their inspiration.
From 1945 to 1970, South American audiences were entertained by a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, named Amadeo Carrizo.

— River Plate (@RiverPlate) March 20, 2020
Carrizo debuted in 1945 as a teenager, and he didn’t call it a career until 25 years later at the age of 44. Between 1945 and 1970, Carrizo made over 600 club appearances.
Of those 25 years, 23 of them were spent in the service of the great Buenos Aires-based club River Plate. He made his club debut in the middle of the La Måquina era, where legends like José Manuel Moreno, Félix Loustau, Adolfo Pedernera, Ángel Labruna and a young Alfredo Di Stéfano had propelled the club to national dominance.
Carrizo won two Argentine Primera División titles with that set of players, as well as two Copa Aldaos, which was a precursor to the Copa Libertadores. Despite his young age — he accomplished these feats before he turned 22 — Carrizo was already showing signs of greatness.
But it was after the end of the MĂĄquina era that Carrizo really shined. In 1948, Carrizo made 15 or more appearances in a single season for the first time in his career. A season later, he kept 15 clean sheets in 34 appearances, including 14 clean sheets in the league.
Three years after that, in 1952, Carrizo won his first league trophy in the post-MĂĄquina era. Carrizo appeared in 22 matches and kept two clean sheets as River Plate won their first Primera DivisiĂłn title since 1947.
Carrizo would go on to win four more league titles in the next five seasons, including three straight between 1955 and 1957. Carrizo made 169 league appearances between the 1952 and 1957 seasons, keeping 48 clean sheets.
This would prove to be Carrizo’s most successful club tenure, although he did keep a career-high 16 clean sheets in a 1966 season that saw him backstop River Plate to the Copa Libertadores final.
Carrizo would call it a career four years later at the age of 44. By then, the Argentine had joined Millonarios of Colombia, with whom he had played two seasons with.
youtube
Despite playing his entire career as a goalkeeper, Carrizo wasn’t actually too big of a fan of saving goals. In fact, he seemed to prefer scoring them.
“I always liked to play upfront. Those up front are the ones who have fun,” he once told Un Cano. “The goalkeeper stands there like a sap hoping he doesn’t concede. When he does everyone is already criticizing him – ‘What did he do?’ ‘Why did he come out late?’”
This probably explains why, unlike most goalkeepers from his era, Carrizo refused to remain in the shadows. Instead, Carrizo took up a proactive role. He stayed in constant communication with his backline, alerting them of incoming danger and instructing them of potential offensive outlets. He would also open himself up as a passing option to a teammate under pressure, and when he’d receive the ball, he’d venture out of his box and take on opposition players, much to the shock of his teammates and fans.
One famous occasion occurred in a 1954 edition of the Superclásico. Carrizo obtained possession of the ball and was immediately hounded by Jose Borello. The Boca Juniors striker was one of the league’s top scorers, and with Carrizo alone in possession, Borello attempted to unnerve the goalkeeper into giving up the ball.
But Carrizo had other ideas. Rather than mindlessly booting the ball out of bounds, Carrizo challenged his opponent mano-a-mano. Despite pressure from Borello, Carrizo dribbled around his adversary before laying it off to a teammate.
River Plate won the derby 3-0, and Carrizo’s moment of magic was the game’s main talking point.

— Boca Jrs. Oficial (desde
Tumblr media
) (@BocaJrsOficial) March 20, 2020
Carrizo played at a time when a goalkeeper’s only job was to save shots, but the Argentine rejected that premise. Carrizo believed that a goalkeeper should be as comfortable handling the ball as any of his teammates. And although he didn’t always come out on top, Carrizo was supremely confident in his abilities.
But Carrizo was as good with his hands as he was with his feet. The Argentine was an excellent saver of the ball, capable of stopping shots with two hands or one strong fist. Carrizo was particularly fond of handling the ball with one hand. In fact, one of his trademarks was rising for a deep cross and comfortably snagging the ball out of the air with one outstretched arm.
That circus act had a home in South America, where creative and acrobatic football reigned supreme. Unfortunately, Carrizo failed to have the same effect on an international stage.
Carrizo was only capped 20 times by the Argentine national team across a 10-year period. These include three caps in a disastrous 1958 World Cup that saw Argentina lose two games — including a 6-1 loss to Czechoslovakia — and finish bottom of their group.
Still, Carrizo had some fans from abroad, one of whom was Lev Yashin himself. The two goalkeepers only ever played against each other once — a friendly club match in 1968.
But it’s clear the two greatly respected each other. Maybe it’s because of the revolutionary goalkeeper ideas they shared, or perhaps it was just due to the fact that, as goalkeepers, they knew how difficult it was to excel in a position everyone disliked.
Whatever it was, the two had a strong bond. Carrizo and Yashin appeared in a cover photo for the magazine El GrĂĄfico in 1968, and following their friendly match, Yashin gifted Carrizo his gloves as a token of appreciation.

Carrizo died on March 20, 2020; exactly 30 years after Yashin passed away. Carrizo was laid to rest at the age of 93, just over a week after he had undergone back surgery.
The tributes came in quickly. River Plate got the hashtag #AmadeoEterno trending and called his death “a day of great pain for all the people of River Plate.” Boca Juniors also sent their condolences, calling him a “legend of Argentine soccer” on Twitter. The Argentine FA’s Twitter account called him the “glory of our football”.
Tributes also came from other former Argentina goalkeepers including Ubaldo Fillol, who called Carrizo “an example for all those who love the goalkeeper position”, and Nery Pumpido, who tweeted that Carrizo’s “teachings will remain for a lifetime.”
youtube
Carrizo wasn’t your ordinary goalkeeper; he was a ground-breaking revolutionary who was well ahead of his time. He played the position of goalkeeper as it should’ve been played; proactive in handling situations of both an offensive and defensive nature, daring in both corralling loose balls and challenging opponents, and creative in both defending his goal and attacking that of his opponent’s.
And while his European counterparts may get most of the praise, history will never forget the play of Argentina’s capped custodian.
Rest in peace, Carrizo. #AmadeoEterno

Has Account Based COPA Evolved Enough to be Recommended in S/4HANA?
# Purpose of this Blog SAP has started recommending Account Based CO-PA in S/4HANA products (S/4HANA and S/4HANA Finance) based on three main innovations (COGS split, variance posting Categories wise, and additional quantity fields) in Account Based CO-PA. We need to understand first if these three things were only missing in Account Based CO-PA earlier, and because of it all the organizations (at least all manufacturing org.) were using Costing Based CO-PA and SAP also used to recommend Costing Based CO-PA before advent of S/4HANA products or there was more? Let’s find out. Secondly I have always liked SAP Controlling over SAP Finance and this is the area where I have been more comfortable. I realised that I have written more blogs on S/4 HANA Finance than S/4 HANA Management Accounting. Trying to balance out with this. Fairly, we will cover below items: * Understanding of costing based CO-PA and account based CO-PA * Actual Data in COPA * Planning Data in COPA * What’s New in S/4HANA * Comparison between costing based and account based CO-PA # Comparison Between Costing Based and Account Based CO-PA This comparison table is for them who just skim and don’t go into the details, rest can go through entire article. Base Costing Based CO-PA Account Based CO-PA Postings Data is transferred to COPA as soon as sales order is created Data is transferred when accounting document is posted to Financial Accounting Data Carrier Data is transferred with Value Fields to costing based COPA tables Data is transferred with Cost and Revenue elements to ACDOCA tables COGS Posting COGS is posted with billing document posting COGS is posted with post goods issue (PGI) Reconciliation Reconciliation value field with GL is difficult Always reconciled with Financial Accounting COPA Currencies Storage in operating concern currency and company code currency Storage in controlling area currency and company code currency and transactional currency Variance Settlement Settle the variance categories to costing-based CO-PA, assign the combination of variance categories and cost elements to the specific value fields. Settle the variances to account-based CO-PA, use the Price Difference Splitting Profile to assign the combination of cost elements and variance categories to the scheduled target accounts. Other Settlement In costing-based CO-PA, costs are settled from the original cost elements to the value fields to which they are assigned in the PA transfer structure. Settlement – In account-based CO-PA, costs are settled to the settlement cost element specified in the settlement structure. Parallel Valuation Costing based COPA provides 6 parallel valuations for calculating the cost of goods sold (COGS). This enables you compare the standard cost for sales processes with different production opportunities in different plants. NA Top Down Distribution (Actual) Top Down Distribution for actual postings is available at detailed level in costing based COPA Top-Down distribution works in account based COP as well, selection criteria must be account/cost element Top Down Distribution (Plan) Top Down Distribution for plan data is available in costing based COPA Top Down Distribution for plan data is available in account based COPA Sales Order Analysis In the costing-based Profitability Analysis, you can transfer the sales order data to Profitability Analysis so that an early analysis of profit forecast can be carried out. This Function not available in account based COPA Planning In costing-based CO-PA, you use the SAP Fiori apps for planning. The data is updated in the CO-PA tables In account-based CO-PA, the plan data is updated in tables COEJ (plan line items) and COSP (plan total). Bottom Up Planning Plan values are planned bottom-up, and merging of plan values can occur in several steps. Plan values are planned bottom-up, and merging of plan values can occur in several steps. SAP COPA Tables & Data Structure Costing based COPA Stores Data in CE1XXXX to CE1XXXX tables: * CE1XXXX is actuals data * CE2XXXX is Plan data * CE3XXXX & CE4XXXX contain aggregated and segment level data XXXX = Operating Concern Account based COPA Stores data in general CO tables, as below: * Line item actual data in ACDOCA * Line item plan data in ACDOCP * Actual line item in COEP value type, not equal to 4 and not equal to 11 * Plan line item in COSP & COEJ specific value types Future Innovations in S/4HANA No future innovation for costing based COPA in S/4HANA Account based COPA will be innovation path always in S/4HANA. Since ACDOCA is the primary table in S/4HANA and account based COPA only update ACDOCA tables  # Basic Concept of COPA The basic concepts of CO-PA include the following: * Characteristics Characteristics are those entities that you want to report on. These include divisions, regions, products, and customers. Note: In addition to the fixed characteristics, up to 50 non-fixed characteristics can be added to an operating concern. So use them wisely. Refer SAP Note. 10293911029391.   * Characteristic Values Characteristic values are the values that the characteristics in your report should display. For example, region is a characteristic with south as its value, and company code is a characteristic with 1000 as its value. * Profitability Segments Profitability segments are the technical definitions of combinations of several characteristics and their values. For example, a combination of North region, T-F100 product, and Sales Rep Miller. * Value Fields (Costing Based COPA) Value fields are the amount and quantity fields with which performance can be measured and analysed. Examples include gross sales, surcharges, discounts, and cost of sales. Note: Maximum 200 values fields can be created, so use them wisely. Refer SAP Note. 10293911029391. * Cost Elements (Account Based COPA) Cost Elements plays similar role account based COPA as Value fields in costing based COPA. Amount and quantity fields with which performance can be measured and analysed are posted to account based COPA through Cost Elements. # Data Structure and COPA Tables Copy the required characteristics and value fields (applicable for costing-based CO-PA) to the operating concern, save them, and activate the data structures. With activating the data structures, all the necessary tables are created. When assigning characteristics and value fields, activation is required. Otherwise the assignment will be lost. During the generation process, the system creates the tables CE1XXXX through CE8XXXX Note that the data in costing-based Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) is stored in separate tables, and the data for account-based CO-PA is stored in the same tables as the other Controlling (CO)modules. # COPA – Actual Data Revenues and discounts are transferred to profitability segments in Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) at the point of billing in sales order management. The value fields in the costing-based CO-PA contain the amounts and quantities that you want to report on. The value fields represent the finest level of detail at which costs and revenues are broken down. One of the most important tasks in Customizing for the costing-based CO-PA is to assign your costs and revenues to the required value fields. This assignment enables you to calculate the contribution margins that your organization requires in Information System. Contribution margin can also be analysed in account-based CO-PA. This analyses the COGS (using define splitting scheme) and also the different variance categories (using define Accounts for Splitting Price Differences). # Top Down Distribution Top-down distribution of actual data is a periodic function. This function enables you to distribute the aggregated data to extensive levels (such as the division level or the customer level in CO-PA), based on reference information (such as the data from the previous year).       Periodic valuation is only available in costing-based CO-PA. It requires Material Ledger (ML), which is automatically activated in SAP S/4 HANA The actual costing, which previously could only be performed after a final closed period, can now be transferred to costing-based CO-PA after the actual costing run. This function does not update the FI-Table ACDOCA. Note: Actual top-down distribution cannot be performed across business areas. # COPA – Plan Data The Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for SAP Simple Finance applications provide a consistent view of the planning process. From the UI perspective, all planning applications can be accessed by a Microsoft Excel front-end to provide a homogeneous look and feel. There are no longer silos for the planning data. All planning data is now contained in a real-time info cube of the local Business Warehouse (BW), which is optimized for SAP HANA. Actual data and master data are accessed directly in real time without any replication that would be necessary in a standalone BW. In costing-based CO-PA, you use the SAP Fiori apps for planning. The data is updated in the CO-PA tables. In actual release 1610, you cannot transfer the data to FI GL and Profit Center Accounting (PCA) in New GL. In account-based CO-PA, the plan data is updated in tables COEJ (plan line items) and COSP (plan total). # Bottom Up Planning Plan values are planned bottom-up, and merging of plan values can occur in several steps. For example, the default plan values can be created automatically (copied or revaluated) and then used as a plan basis for individual sales representatives. Integrated Microsoft Excel allows sales representatives to create their sales plan data locally. Finally, the individual plans can be merged into a single version and valuated with the operative prices and costs of goods manufactured.  # What’s New S/4HANA There are some glaring changes in S/4HANA in regard to account based CO-PA, mentioned below. * Define Accounts for Splitting the Cost of Goods Sold In this Customizing activity, you can refine the settings for changes in inventory or COGS postings to split the amount and post it to different accounts according to the cost components that are used in the underlying costing sheet. The respective cost component amount is then used for the corresponding journal entry line item. Path: IMG → Financial Accounting (New) → General Ledger Accounting (New) → Periodic Processing → Integration → Materials Management→ Define Accounts for Splitting the Cost of goods sold. 2. Define Accounts for Splitting Price Differences This customizing helps in posting production variances as per variances categories.  Path: IMG → Financial Accounting (New) → General Ledger Accounting (New) → Periodic Processing → Integration → Materials Management→ Define Accounts for Splitting the Cost of Goods Sold 3. Define Additional Quantity Fields This customizing helps you having additional quantity fields in your transactions and reporting. Path: IMG à Controlling à General Controlling à Additional Quantities à Define additional quantities # Conclusion Has Account Based COPA Evolved Enough to be Recommended? Having jotted down all the points I am not very comfortable to advise a manufacturing organization to implement account based COPA over costing based COPA. There are many values need to be taken to COPA starting from sales order and many of them are statistical too (though for this also workaround is there in Account Based COPA, like create extra condition types with GL postings to FI twice during billing which will post to COPA and it won’t have impact on the FI. Later on select required data in the COPA reporting). I have discussed this scenario and my experience with SAP on this matter in one of my blog on SAP Community https://blogs.sap.com/2018/02/02/first-s4-hana-enterprise-management-implementer-how-it-feels-to-be-a-success-story/ Secondly comparison sheet is also giving weightage to Costing based COPA, but on the other hand it is also true that all the innovations in S/4HANA will be made available for account based COPA. So, ‘choose wisely’. http://bit.ly/2CVGFHQ #SAP #SAPCloud #AI

Soccer Clubs’ Worst Ever Streaks Against Their Derby Rivals
When Cristiano Ronaldo completed his latest hat-trick against Atletico Madrid, sweeping home a simple finish from five yards in front of a rippling ocean of white shirts at the Bernabeu, the continuation of an excruciating streak for Los Rojiblancos was all but assured. Disregarding whatever smidgen of optimism they may still have entertained for the second leg at the Vicente Calderon, Atletico fans must have known in that moment that Real had snuffed out their European hopes once again. Having lost to Ronaldo and co. in both the 2014 and 2016 Champions League finals, Atletico have now failed to beat their derby rivals in continental competition on six consecutive occasions, a run which goes back to the 1959 European Cup. Losing two Champions League finals to one club would be heart-rending enough at the best of times, but when that club is an intra-city nemesis the pain of defeat must be even harder to bear.
While Atletico's European run against Real is certainly one of the most dramatic winless spells for one rival against another, they are not the only team to go on a nightmarish streak against their fiercest foes. Spain's most famous derby, El Clasico, has been a fairly even affair down the years, with Real just ahead in the all-time standings with 93 wins to Barcelona's 91 since the fixture was first contested competitively in 1929. That said, both Barca and Real have gone on horrendous runs against each other in the meantime, not least when the Blaugrana failed to beat Los Blancos in seven matches between January 1932 and February 1935, this to the backdrop of a brewing conflict that would come to define their mutual enmity. Though Barca managed to halt their barren run with a famous 5-0 victory at the Camp de Les Corts, they went on to lose the final of the 1936 Copa del Presidente de la RepĂșblica to Madrid. Soon afterwards, all competitive football was suspended owing to the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War.

Barcelona went on another gut-wrenching run against Real between September 1962 and December 1965, losing six league games in a row to a legendary side featuring Ferenc PuskĂĄs and Alfredo Di StĂ©fano. This was at a time when Real were the favourites of dictator and Civil War victor Francisco Franco, adding a sinister edge to their dominance in the eyes of many contemporary Barca fans. Now, fans of the Blaugrana can at least take solace in the fact that there are few of them old enough to remember those matches, which is more than Real fans can say of their own barren stretch between December 2008 and April 2012. Despite spending enormous sums of money in pursuit of their GalĂĄcticos policy, Real lost five league matches in a row and failed to win in seven over that period, parting ways with two managers – Juande Ramos and Manuel Pellegrini – in the process. They were also knocked out of the Supercopa de España over two legs and dumped out of the Champions League in May 2011 by their Catalan rivals, though a couple of weeks before they had at least managed to triumph over Pep Guardiola's men in the final of the Copa del Rey.
As for Europe's other great rivalries, there are several similar winless streaks that stand out as especially grievous to derby day pride. In Der Klassiker, contested between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, the latter failed to win in 11 games between March 1998 and April 2003, conceding 23 goals in all competitions and watching their Bavarian adversaries collect three Bundesliga titles and win the Champions League along the way. Over the German border with Holland, where De Klassieker is contested between Feyenoord and Ajax, the former failed to win an Eredivisie game against their rivals for a full five years before the turn of the millennium. That 12-game run came to an end with an aggregate score of 35-9 in Ajax's favour, which most football fans would agree represents ritual humiliation on a truly heinous scale.

In Italy's infamous Derby della Capitale, a single defeat for either Roma or Lazio can often mean violence, demonstrations and running clashes outside the Stadio Olimpico. As such, it's hard to imagine the pitch of hysteria among Lazio fans come January 2005, by which time their side had failed to beat the Giallorossi in 10 games. Lazio's winless run went back five years to 2000, not long before which they had also gone on a 10-match unbeaten run in the derby. Having knocked each other out of the Coppa Italia in that time, as well as winning one Serie A title apiece, there was a pleasing symmetry to the two clubs' successive winless streaks, at least in the eyes of an outside observer.
When it comes to football on these shores, disastrous derby streaks are commonplace. In the lower echelons of the English game, Burnley, Wolves and Crystal Palace have gone on 11-match winless runs against Blackburn, West Brom and Brighton & Hove Albion respectively, while Oxford United went 12 games without a win against rivals Swindon Town between October 1973 and April 1982. An even more impressive derby dry patch belongs to Sheffield United, who failed to beat Sheffield Wednesday in 13 games between 1910 and early 1916. Given that thousands of young men from South Yorkshire were about to become embroiled in the hell of the Battle of the Somme, supporters may have had bigger things to worry about, or perhaps the horrors of World War I paled into comparison for fans at Bramall Lane.

Moving on to more recent times and the most illustrious of rivalries, there are few streaks more devastating than Everton's against Liverpool in the eighties. The Toffees only won seven of 32 Merseyside derbies that decade, regardless of the glories of the Howard Kendall era and their title wins in 1984-85 and 1986-87. The rarity of their victories against Liverpool wasn't even the worst of it as far as Everton fans were concerned, with the significance of a select few defeats far more galling than the overall disparity. Everton made of the domestic cups in the eighties what Atletico Madrid have made of the Champions League in recent times, losing the FA Cup finals of '86 and '89 and the League Cup final of '84 to their old foes.
Everton fans were at least used to disastrous results against Liverpool, having gone a soul-sapping 15 games without a win between March 1972 and October 1978. Manchester City went one better in the nineties and early noughties, resolutely refusing to beat Manchester United in 16 games between February 1990 and April 2001. That gave the Sky Blues the dubious honour of having failed to win a derby in over a decade, a fact of which they are still reminded by their local antagonists. City could at least take some comfort in a dual winless run for Tottenham Hotspur, who failed to beat Chelsea in a whopping 26 matches between 1990 and 2002, and then Arsenal in a further 21 matches between 2000 and 2008.
PA Images
Nobody can beat the Spurs teams of the nineties and noughties for accumulative failure against their most hated opponents, with their 26 winless matches against Chelsea seemingly unrivalled in a numerical sense. Nonetheless, we must spare a final thought for one club north of the English border, for whom wins on derby day were once comparably rare. Between April 1989 and April 1994, Hibernian failed to defeat Hearts in 22 matches, losing by a single goal on seven occasions and often snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Unlike Hibs, the Tottenham side of the nineties at least had the good grace to concede several goals against Chelsea as quickly as possible, a tactic that mercifully extinguished all hope among fans rather than allow them to indulge in the cruel fantasy of a win.
