so I finally started watching JoJo with my boyfriend

and of course we had to do a Netflix dub homosexuality tierlist of what Joseph calls Caesar after that bit where Caesar saves Joseph from falling off the cliff during the fight with Kars

without further ado, from least to most homosexual:

I literally cannot stop thinking about the Times Trio, so here's a short, little analysis about them.

They all have such different and conflicting ideas about what it means to be a good person, and each of them tends to focus so much on that one thing.

For William, being a “good” person means Not Being Like His Father, and upholding the Truth, this sort of cosmic law on a higher level than any of them. This idea that he is trying to be a bastion of morality and truth for the universe often ironically leads him to snobbery and entitlement, which is mainly visible when he's seen from other characters’ perspectives. He's so caught up in a higher level of goodness that he occasionally ends up acting like his father, the thing he's trying to avoid in the first place.

For Sacharissa, being a “good” person means being palatable to the upper classes, appearing to be “well-bred”. It's about etiquette and manners, but it's also about appearing ladylike, and putting on an act, as seen in certain scenes where it's acknowledged that she stops being scared when no one tries to comfort her. In her attempts to impress people who don't care whether she lives or dies, she comes off as pompous and snooty, although clearly not in the upper class position she aspires to. Fortunately, she definitely gets better about this over the course of The Truth.

For Otto, being a “good” person is about resistance, and going against your own nature. He resists the temptation that makes him a depraved animal in the eyes of people like William's father. He goes against something which many people consider to be an integral part of his own species, but, for Otto, even feeling the urge to drink blood makes him a bad person. He thinks that by still having thoughts like that, that he's almost proving people right about him and vampires as a whole, even when he chooses not to act on them.

They all have such an interesting relationship with morality and going against one’s nature, and there's definitely so much more that can be said about the parallels drawn between William rejecting the bigoted views of his father, and Otto resisting the urge to drink blood. Also they're all in a polycule. Because I said so.
