Yesterday I made it 35 times around the sun. I've had ups and downs, joy and heartbreak, and my time here has been so short. I'm excited to see what the next several years have in store for me and my family. - #reflectingonlife #lookingback #lifeexperiences #whatdoesntbreakyoumakesyoustronger #photography #cityphotography #moonshot #downtowndallas #skyscraper #skyscraping_magic #wherewillyoube #architecture #architectural #architecturaldesign #moonrise #contemporary #urbanexploration #urbanexplorer #explorationgram #travelingphotographer #lubbocktxphotographer #zmphotography (at Dallas, Texas) https://www.instagram.com/p/CVSb-W_AnbU/?utm_medium=tumblr

No matter how prepared we think we are. Life can still be unpredictable. Moreso, physically and mentally draining. Nonetheless, our intuition and ability to adapt teaches us that what we fear is merely areas for our improvement and growth.

2018 was tough emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I give thanks to the man above for providing me His grace and solid foundation to stand and withstand the many trials throughout the year. 2019 I hope that I can find a place of solitude and peace within You. #reflection #godisgood #whatdoesntbreakyoumakesyoustronger #peaceofmind https://www.instagram.com/p/BsF7OTFn3Ek/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1sqleyavsrb36

The last month or more has been crazy but nothing compared to the last couple of days. I learnt some lessons. 1) Be in touch with the people handling real estate paperwork and your realtor to know whether they or you are missing necessary documents. 2) Choosing a realtor perhaps is second in the important lineup than getting your finances in order. 3) Ask questions from people at your work , family or friends who have recently bought or sold a place. Maybe they can refer a realtor or lawyer to you. They can tell you of all the documents they needed. We had a less than competent realtor and we paid in mental anguish for that! What saved us was our stellar lawyer referred to us by friends. 4) Always over estimate closing and moving costs. 5) Packing and cleaning up your home is possible all on your own but don't be afraid to ask for help. Start sooner than later. Have good friends who will have some space in their garages for your stuff that you don't want to send with the movers. Or the stuff that didn't fit in the moving truck. 6) Selecting a moving company. Ask around. Look up reviews. Angie's list. 7) Have VVA and US Veterans and other organizations scheduled to pick up your 'stuff.' This way you get a tax return form to fill out. 8) Never underestimate the amount of garbage you are going to have when you get into the thick of moving mania! We realized this later. Much later. Our town has apartments with large dumpsters in their parking lots. We drove there with our garbage several times the night before vacating our home to dump all our garbage. Before that we agonized a lot about having so much stuff to throw out. One day we paid the people who pick up garbage thinking they might be upset with having so much to take. There is always a solution. Ofcourse if you have been moving every couple of years or every few years your garbage will be significantly lesser than someone who is moving after 12 or 15 years. 9)Keep the big picture in mind. Family, health and freedom. 10)Don't forget to acknowledge the man upstairs. God. #wisdom # knowledge #moving #realestatebergen #realestate #nj #gardenstate #northeast #family #godisgood #whatdoesntbreakyoumakesyoustronger
