Gothamites aren’t stupid.

Stupid enough to live in Gotham, sure. But they weren’t completely moronic.

They knew about the bats. Namely, the Robins. Everyone knows Nightwing was the first Robin, everyone knows Red Hood is the lost Robin that came back, and everyone knows the latest Robin is the son of Batman.

They weren’t stupid, it doesn’t need to be said for people to realize. Nightwing was clearly not hidden, he runs with the same hero team that robin used to.

Red hood was probably supposed to be under wraps. But Gothamites know that street kid when they see him. They know his heart. He loves this damn city, even the ugliest part of it.

How could Gotham not recognize her Robin?

And the bats weren’t really all that careful. Loud declarations of a blood right, the newest calling Batman “Father”. And with the way that kid acts sometimes, the way he looks or stands. Every day it’s more like Batman.

Although admittedly most thought the third Robin would become Batman.

Nightwing was better then Batman, and he was his own vigilante. You couldn’t truly compare him to Batman. You couldn’t compare him to anyone really. It was the same as comparing Superman and Batman. They were different categories. You can compare them, they do overlap, but they are so different that one tilt or change in the issue and one is better befitted for the problem then the other. And yet similar enough they two could switch places and still be affective.

Still, it wasn’t missed when Nightwing became Batman for a time.

The instant it happened, Gotham knew. Gotham knows her knight, and Gotham knows her first squire.

He was a knight now too.

One thing they did learn from it is simple.

All of the Bats work better in pairs.

Batman needs Robin. All Bats should have birds.

Batman had Nightwing, Nightwing had Robin. Gotham only wondered briefly if Nightwing would take on the newest Robin and Batman would get back his third one.

But Batman took on the newest Robin.

Nightwing was back, and no longer a duo. He had a team to run. So Gotham let it be.

Except. Gothamites aren’t stupid.

Red Hood is the Robin with heart. He’s grown, he’s a Bat.

And he’s violent in a way they’d only ever seen the first Robin when unrestrained. Furiously deadly like they’d seen Batman in mourning.

Bats work better with birds. Red Hood is a Bat.

So can anyone really blame them when Red Robin came on the scene?

Could anyone really blame them for thinking Red Hood got himself a Robin?

Apparently it was a stupid thought. As the two weren’t ever even assigned on duo missions.

That one didn’t make any sense. Since they’d seen the newest Robin paired off with Red Robin, and numerous individuals bore witness to Robin’s attempts to off his predecessor.

So it couldn’t be because Red Hood would try and off Red Robin. The Bats clearly don’t care about that. And Gothamites are pretty sure all of the Bats have inflicted deathly harm on one another countless times before. The Bats are messed up, but it’s Gotham. Everyone’s messed up.

So without knowing why, Gotham is withheld a duo with potential.

The Robin with Heart too big for his vigilante identity, and the Robin who was only every his vigilante identity.

Forgive Gothamites for being a little pissy about being denied the duo.

Normally for the Red Duo going with a matching theme and not associating with one another more then they currently do.

Gotham wants her favorite Robin to heal and get better. And the only time anyone has seem Bats get better is with Birds, with Robin.

Someone ought to do something about the two never being paired alone together. If one of the Rogues don’t pull something Gotham citizens might have to just to see what will happen.

Bats need Robins.

And this Robin is still up for grabs.

Something I've noticed when I've seen transandrophobic trans women (this is a common trend for transandrophobic transfems, but let this be your reminder that trans women ≠ transadrophobia, don't fall down that hole) is that they hate the phrase "we're all faggots in the eyes of the state" (and those similar).

And like, I do understand it. It can feel somewhat dismissing to hear "we all experience this" when venting/discussing issues you face. But I feel there is a kind of disconnect between the one who said it versus the one who read it.

It seems as though they often read the phrase as:

"I don't care if you struggle, because we all struggle, in fact I struggle more than you, so stfu and let us talk instead of you,"

instead of (what I assume to be) the original intention of it:

"What you are saying is leaning on discourse that our struggling community does not need. Perpetuating this will not help us, stand by each other and do not spread hate to your siblings, for we will all be killed by the few Rich Cishet White Perisex Able-bodied Men in control. They do not care if you believe this discourse, to them you are the discourse."

Speaking about issues trans women face should not warrant this phrase, perpetuating transandrophobia? That does.

Woke (2020): BBC Sherlock is an incredibly flawed series run by an egotistical writer, it never deserved the hype and is actively bad on so many fronts (especially representation)

Bespoke (2024): BBC Sherlock is flawed and bogged down by increasingly poor writing, which many fans refused to see while it was airing, leading to hugely misplaced expectations (particularly for the final series), AND it has the seeds of some compelling characterizations and portrayals, some genuinely solid performances, and touches--albeit imperfectly--on complexities that are still being discussed today (particularly as it relates to the relationship between Sherlock and John). The huge cultural impact of the show has created a massive pendulum effect in its public perception, leading to most people today remembering a caricature of the show (whether positive or negative) rather than appreciating its nuanced merits and failings...that being said Season 4 sucked

I've had this AU in my brain for so so long, I've been trying to design Minato first but it wasn't working.. So I started with Ryoji and I'm so obsessed with his design, this was so fun (✿◕‿◕✿)

Lore stuff I guess (I'm still working on some things but):

He's in charge of Purgatory! He's usually there to greet people when they arrive in the afterlife, he guides them to either the demon or angel realms, whichever they prefer.

He (along with Minato) also make sure people don't get lost in Purgatory and become Husks. If they do, he takes care of them (doesn't have to be killing them, can be making sure they are in a facility that is able to restore their humanity).

Gave Nyx her body back, if he needs to be in his non-human form, it is Thanatos (who is also getting the IV treatment of course).

Ryoji can visit Limbo, but even if he were to stay in the main area, he would not experience any biological changes like deities usually do. He's considered a Temporal-Independent Entity.

He does have quick access to Limbo, should he need it for whatever reason!

I'm gonna sit down eventually and actually plan out the story and how it works after the events of P3 and such, but yeah >:)

Hi guys, this is sort of my official "please, for the love of god, listen to Skyjacks with me” post because I’m losing my mind and all the content I can find is from the latest stuff right now, and I don’t want to spoil myself. I want to be able to talk about this with people!!!! I will make a watch (listen) party discord if there is enough interest. Just give it a chance; you won’t regret it. Also, some information may be wrong or outdated. I’m on episode 11 out of over 200.

Skyjacks is a ttrpg podcast about sky pirates in a world where there was a catastrophe about 200 years ago that left the sea unsafe to sail and maybe even damaged the entire world to the point where civilization is scattered and in small groups. There is very casual queer rep, and it’s casual to the point where it really just fits into the world perfectly.

A brief summary of the premise of the first episode will hopefully get you hooked. I’m really bad at summaries, but I promise it’s a billion times better than how I talked about it here:

Captain Orimar Vale is dead, and a mutiny will be on Gable, Jonnit, Travis, and Dref’s hands if they are unable to keep up the ruse of him being alive. To do this, necromancy (deeply forbidden magic) is performed by the Dref, the ship's doctor, to turn him into a semi-functional zombie. Captain Orimar is famous for his abilities as a captain; to replicate this will take great skill.

As they run out of supplies, they make a desperate decision: port on the land of one of Orimar’s scorned lovers or deal with the growing uneasiness of the rest of the crew. They haven’t seen their captain healthy in months, and whispers about his health are starting. However, greater danger will await them when they take to the skies again, lurking just beyond the clouds…

And more propaganda as to why I think you guys will like it:

There are unique and interesting gameplay mechanics they use to tell a really cool story, and if you like Hermitcraft or any other sorta storytelling-based SMP, I promise you’ll like it. Like. If you liked Boatem from Hermitcraft 8, you’ll love the characters in Skyjacks. The players are exceptionally good at playing their characters, their humour is unmatched by anything similar I’ve had the pleasure of seeing, and the story is prioritized, which I think is an amazing choice.

Best part? It’s still ongoing after, like, 5 years. Some people have left, but a good chunk of the OG cast has stayed. Not that leaving is bad, because holy crap, 5 years is a long time, and stories have to end at some point! It’s a good way of getting into something and knowing there is still a shit ton of content to be explored.

The music is good. The story is good. The characters and humour are amazing. The lore of the world is sprinkled throughout, and as you learn more about the world, the more excited you get. It’s incredible so far, and if you decide to listen to it, I will actually love you forever and ever. My boyfriend is on episode 190, and he finds it so funny every time I go. Oh my god, this is so cool.
