Siren
Author's note: I'm going to be trying to do Mermay 2025. Thanks for @kit-williams for letting me borrow Anrir and Draga a bit. Claude should get a morally grey- slightly Red Flag Mentor as a treat. Oh- and learn more about Night Lord Specific Siren-like traits that Night Lord mers get and to train them.
Summary: Claude meets Mer!Anrir and Draga.
Warnings: LMK if I need to add something

Claude was patrolling this area- he had been told by a worried Becky that someone - a woman had gone missing. She had shown him a picture of the poor woman. She had been nearby the ocean's edge when it had happened.
He had also been warned about some of the Night Lord Shoals having risen from the depths of the ocean recently for a singing competition thing.
Claude hadn't known that Night Lords had more siren-like powers. Or how if he could use his abilities like that. Or had them. It was rather hit or miss what a Primaris inherited from the gene-seed they were given.
He's been rather reluctantly, and begrudgingly, learning from Zariel and his shoal of brothers how to use his Alpha Legion abilities and powers. And some training from them. In exchange he helps them with various and gives them the juiciest bits of gossip he can find.
Right now- he's following after some haunting music and sees an older Astartes with deep midnight blue scales. He sees the colors- which shows that the older Space Marine is an Apothecary and he cautiously approaches him.
It's still rather hit or miss on how older marines react to Primaris Marines. While those on Ancient Terra tend to jus ask "why are you so big?" or something like that, there are reactions that are either more or less positive.
The older space marine turns to look at him and warbles out to him in a song. Claude blinks at him confused and says, "Uh... hello sir?"
Anrir blinks confused, he had just been passing through when he'd spotted the younger Night Lord mer. Who- he had noticed did not sing, he hadn't heard nor seen the younger one sing at all- in hunting or for communication.
"Don't you know how important song and singing is, little one?" Anrir asks, almost lyrical.
"What?" Claude says utterly confused as he tilts his head. "What do you mean Sir?"
'Singing? Song? What importance does that have?' Claude thinks confused.
"Ah- you are quite young, where is your Claw little one?" Anrir asks.
"Claw?" Claude says even more confused as he shows his clawed hands. "you mean the weapons attached to my hands?"
"I mean a Claw- as in you and your squad of brothers." Anrir explains.
"Oh- you mean them! I have some brothers, but they are all of different gene-lines." Claude says, "You are one of the first Night Lord's I have met on Ancient Terra Sir."
Anrir sees that he has much to teach this confused youngling. Sure- some might mistake him for a Raven Guard- but the Terran born Night Lord can see the marks of his legion in this young one's face and features.
Although the teal to his eyes is an odd mutation- a rather interesting one. So he takes the next few days to stay in this area- and teach young Claude how to sing- how to play as Night Lords do. There is something ... slightly broken about this youngster that has his paternal instincts come out.
He watches as Claude struggles to use his Psyker powers and Anrir has been teaching him singing. As he was watching him use his powers or not use singing at all and he's like "why are you being inefficient? Just sing."
"Sing? Inefficient?" Claud responds confused, "how?"
"Ah," Anrir says as he teaches him how to use his psykery and song- and siren-like abilities to his advantage. In hunting-and for other things.
While Anrir isn't a Psyker, per say, he does know how singing can enhance Psykery and can help teach Claude what he does know- which helps which helps him.
Claude is really glad to have met Anrir- he seems to care a lot more than Storm Breaker does- and he seems a lot more patient. And fun to learn from. Ramiel is headed to where Claude is- he'd heard from his brother-cousin about the older Marine who he has been getting some instructions from.
And he had heard from Miss Angela that there was a woman that had gone missing recently and that there has been some eerie, haunting music that was nearby when it had happened.
Ramiel looks over the Terran born Night Lord with caution as he asks Claude questions about Anrir and what he's been doing. What Claude tells him about learning to sing and use his psykery- matches up with the spooky and eerie singing that was noticeably haunting the shoreline.
As well as the other times during the next few weeks that has weird singing, matches up with what Claude reports for him training with Anrir on various Night Lord Related things.
The next time Claude sees Anrir, there is someone else swimming with him. He's surprised when he notices the proportions are smaller and curvier- a female Mer, which he's seen a few here and there, and they are always bonded to someone.
"Hello Ma'am!" Claude says with a cheerful trill.
"Hello," Draga sings back as she swims around Claude. She had heard about the younger Night Lord Mer from Anrir- and is glad to finally meet him.
Claude's eyes widen a little - as what is bugging him about Draga's face hits him. He remembers that face, she's got the same face as the person on the missing poster that Becky showed him a few months back.
Claude looks at her face closely- then at his older brother. He has. Questions. But not sure how to ask them. Or if he should. Uh. He'll let Becky know that the missing woman is alive. And a Mer. And bonded with an older brother.
"We are in the area, and its warm enough for what we need it for." Anrir says distracting Claude for a moment.
"Oh what's that?" Claude asks a little nervously.
"I am having a baby!" Draga says with a smile as she rubs her belly.
Claude blinks rapidly twice, "Congrats on having the baby."
He's. Well. He suspects that Anrir might have lured her in - and changed her into a Mer. That is something he's heard is possible. Even if the person did not originally want to be a Mer, and there is likely no way to reverse the process.
Anrir is looking at him with a sharp assessing gaze. A question lingering in his mind that boils down to 'what the fuck broke you?' there is a protective rage and concern.
Most younglings Claude's age would immediately accuse him of shenanigans and cause a scene. He can tell that Claude's put two and two together, but hasn't said anything about it, yet. Which is surprisingly circumspect.
"You shouldn't worry about my relationship with my beloved Darga." Anrir says when the two of them are alone. "You will understand when you get a Bonded, why I do what I do."
Claude looks at his older brother cautiously and picks his words with care. He has seen how Intense some of the others can be. Not just Anrir, but Roland and Arnault are Like That as well.
Claude nods and says, "Fair enough, Anrir."
"Any ways, I am going to be living in a cave for a week or so." Anrir warns the younger Night Lord seriously, "And if you smell amniotic fluid, don't come into the cave or I will attack you."
Claude nods- protective instincts because of his vulnerable mate and newborn makes sense. "Okay, would you like to stock up on supplies? The nearest base is within easy swimming distance, it's Steelix Cliff Base nearby."
Anrir nods and hums a little as he says, "Yeah, might as well stock up before we isolate."
"I can show you to the base- and help you get into contact with the Quarter Master for Supplies." Claude offers.
"Sounds good." Anrir says.
Draga and Anrir swim after Claude who talks about Steelix Cliff Base. The bonded and mated pair of mers speak with an Apothecary (who isn't Anrir), a Chaplain (for reasons Claude can't discern) and one of the Quarter masters, a gruff and no nonsense Iron Warrior who negotiates fiercely with Anrir.
The only "aggressive" thing Anrir has done was a rather upset tail twitch but that's when someone got too close to Draga but it seems Anrir is helping them out for some time before and after Draga's delivery. They keep away from Draga- and are polite as they get the Protect one's vulnerable and carrying mate. At least the older ones who have a Bonded do.

Primarchs + Daughters (3)
I wanna start by apologizing for taking this long in writing the last part of this train-wreck I decided to start because I came down with a bad case of the snots and didn't have the motivation to write until the vitamin c and antiflu-des kicked in. So far I'm good and just waiting for my vacations. The wonders of working now in the school system is that now u get vacations more often, yay!
Anyway, here ya go! The last one!
Part 1 - Part 2 - Part 3
Tumblr media
Magnus The Red
Honestly, I like Magnus. He is the kind of tragic man that gets a woman swooning. Make him a girl dad and you’ll be knocking heads down. I’ll be going at this with the possibility that any child that this guy sires will pop out as a psyker (the possibility is high if those swimmers managed to get the reader knocked up, tbf) so here we go. Let’s see… despite all the past mistakes during the heresy, we are talking about a Primarch that, while still kinda inhuman in many aspects, was very welcoming and showed quite the approachable disposition to anyone that had a curious mind. With that in mind, this mf would encourage his little girl to always ask him anything to stimulate her hunger for knowledge. Have you been around a child that is in the stages of the ‘Why’s’? Magnus will make it worse by always asking his daughter if she wants to know about a certain topic, going in an endless cycle of ramblings because there’s nothing that will make this man happier than to feed his precious girl endless amounts of information. Even when he spoils his child like the rightful princess that she is, he’ll still be strict about her behavior and tuition; being well aware that, to the outside world, she’ll be expected to act and speak in a certain proper way. Now, the tricky part about him when it comes to teaching his little girl how to control her psyker abilities. We all know that, when still with good intentions, Magnus was too damn arrogant when dealing with the fuckery of the Warp with little to no caution when he had already been warned about it. It didn’t matter that much when it was only him and his Legion dealing with it, but his baby girl on the other hand… ho boy, the good ol’ saying “do as I say, not as I do” could easily fit here. The Primarch more than likely will hammer the strict rule to his daughter that no psyker power usage unless he’s there to supervise and help her. HE is a demigod, the son of the Mighty Emperor of Mankind; in his perspective, he knows how to ignore (at least he thinks so) the poisonous whispers of the aether. Unless his child becomes of-age and has a much better grip over her abilities, MAYBE he’ll allow her to do as she wishes. Of course, only when she is residing at Prospero and very away from some of her uncles.
Horus Lupercal
The favorite golden boy of the Emperor himself! With how charismatic this man is, one can get an idea that he’ll be an incredible dad… and you would be right, but there are also little aspects that make this guy a whole new spectrum of his own. Remember that I mentioned once that Fulgrim would try and raise his daughter in a manner that she'll follow the exact path he’ll set for her? It’s kind of the same thing here, but Horus does it in such a subtle and gentle way that it’s hard to even call it gaslight. He’s just too damn charming that his own baby girl does as he says without questioning him because, to this poor child, her papa can’t do any bad in her eyes… and this man eats it all up. They feed each other their mutual hunger for their admiration and it’s amazing nothing too bad comes out of it. Probably some unhealthy dependent behavior if the issue isn’t nipped properly when she gets older, but overall, Horus’ little princess would never wish for anything. Just as much as the Primarch asks for his daughter to do as he says, he isn’t too tyrannical to force her to undergo a harsh training and he’ll be more pressed for the girl to become more like a politician or anything that doesn’t put her in the line of danger because, after all is said and done, the demigod still loves and cherish his little girl. Her precious miracle. While many may think that Horus would try and manipulate his daughter to do as he says, yall need to be aware that (in this guy’s case) he doesn’t even realize that he’s using too much Nat20 Charisma over his little girl and genuinely thinks that it’s normal for children to blindly obey their fathers and that mostly comes from his warped perception of parenthood that he learned from Big E. Just like with the Legions of Sanguinius, Leman and Guilliman, the Luna Wolves Legion would adore the little lady to the point of being a bit overbearing. They see her as another extension of their Primarch, very different from how they are created as astartes, and that simply leaves them all both intrigued and amazed. I’ll be merciful with yall and avoid touching the landmine of angst that the Heresy would be because this one got a bit long and we gotta jump to the next mf. Next!
Lorgar Aurelian
Ho, fucking hell… So, first off, this is a walking drama. Period. I can defend Lorgar about certain aspects that were out of his complete control but at the end of the day, he is plenty of guilty from some of the actions that lead to the dry-fuck that the heresy was. But we’re here to judge this bastard by papa points and not his war crimes (if that were the case, I would never end this chuckle-fuck post), so let’s fucking go. Despite what we all imagine, Lorgar is quite decent at being a good father. He’ll still try to force his child into a religious path, but since he already worships his SO as a goddess, his little girl is nothing but his absolute treasure so I don’t see him being more forceful than necessary with her. Any little doodle and gibberish done by his precious girl will be hanged nearby to where Lorgar works to keep close and be constantly reminded of his family. Honestly, of all the Primarchs, this guy is the sappiest one and I can’t help but feel kinda bad when thinking about the heresy outcome. He genuinely loves hanging with his little girl, encouraging her in any craft that may make her happy. Their bonding time is spent with Lorgar reading small tales that his daughter messily writes, wishing to see if her father would approve of her writing but jokes on her because hell would freeze first before this man ever says anything that would upset his baby girl. Unless he’s at a long campaign, nothing would stop this guy to be the one to tuck and kiss goodnight to his princess, for he needs to make sure that she is safe and sound at their palace along with her mother. If anything, this man tetters in the thin line of being quite overbearing, but he sometimes manages to reel himself back by sheer miracle. Where most of his brother would try to keep their budding family away and hidden, Lorgar would show off his daughter to the high heavens and back because, to him, the birth of his little girl is nothing but a gift given by his father, the God-Emperor himself, so why should he keep her away from the light of her grandfather too? Like many others have proposed, I like the idea of the Emperor taking the daughter and SO of Lorgar during the burning of Monarchia, effectively driving my man to his last restrain. Like many of the traitor Primarchs, this girl has no happy ending. She’ll probably be shunned and sneered at for the actions of her father while she’s kept trapped in the golden walls of the Imperial Palace at Terra, unable to ever go home because her grandfather had decided that he actually wished to be a parental figure for her. Ironic how that sounded worse.
Vulkan
Ah man, this one is just self explanatory. This big guy is the magazine example of a dedicated father. He was already one of the few Primarchs that could and loved being around kids, even if his size made it quite hard to maneuver around them. Having a daughter only makes this man even more tender. If any of the Salamanders ask their Primarch how his SO and daughter are doing, no force in the universe will stop this man happily showing the new doodle his precious gem did for him or telling them how his princess managed to read a whole sentence that day without a stutter. This guy just sPILLS love whenever he thinks about the little girl that he helped to create. If it were for him, Vulkan would prefer for his precious gem to dedicate herself to anything that has NOTHING to do with the Imperium. He wants her to be happy and safe no matter what, but he’s well aware that his daughter is her own person and that she’ll eventually make her own decisions without his input. Just like Khan, Vulkan will be quite the loving father (the most expressive of them all) but he’ll not be shy about having to be harsh when needed. No spoiled brats will be raised by him. I love to imagine that this little girl has an entire chest full of the little trinkets that her ‘Big Bros’ and her father gifts her: jewelry, toys, decorations, etc. This precious child is probably the happiest in the universe. There’s a chance that, as she grows, she would ask her father to teach her how to work in the art of smithy not only because she admires the Primarch, but because the little girl genuinely grew interested in the arts of working the metal over the fire. Yall, this one is just too sweet I am dying!!
Corvus Corax
Now, this man is one of the many that are hard to read for me but I am a slave of the masses and I must fulfill my fate so here comes nothing. This fun fella is quite the contradiction when it comes to parenthood since his own doubtfulness and depressing disposition clash terribly with the love and protectiveness he suddenly feels when seeing his daughter for the first time. The one thing that doesn’t change at all is his ever present determination to do his best to fulfill his role as both Primarch and new father. It sounds so incredibly inspiring and nice when you put it at first like that, but Corvus is the kind of guy that would look at his child crying and, unable to understand what she wants, he carries her around until he finds his SO for help because he’s just so fucking LOST, clueless, of what entails properly caring for a baby. Of course that only happens during the first months of the little girl having been born, because Corvus, my good man, is anything but lazy and dumb. He’ll wish to be involved mostly to ease his SO responsibilities regarding their precious child and because he is genuinely curious about the sweet little thing he helped to create. To him, the whole thing of raising his baby girl is both fascinating and scary and to be fair, his reactions regarding fatherhood are probably the most humane in that regard. I eventually can see my man being quite good at calming his little princess down thanks to his capacity at reading her emotions like the palm of his hand. These two would rarely need words to communicate between each other, sometimes making their staring off quite unnerving to the outsiders eyes. With how sensible this guy is, it's easy for Corvus to convey (unorthodoxly) his love to his daughter and like most of his brothers would do, he usually spoils her to the best of his capacities but tries his best to not make a brat out of her too. Hide and Seek are their favorite game and a good way to train his little girl in the arts of slipping through the enemies with the help of the shadows, making their games a whole new level of skill which gets even more interesting when any astartes asks to participate. I feel it’s kind of sad that this precious girl was quite close to her father with how much he liked to be involved in her raising, so when he disappeared through the Warp she felt the loss of her father the same way one loses a limb.
Alpharius/Omegon
This one feels more like a fever dream fueled by quetiapine because, to any little girl born from either twin, the WHOLE Alpha Legion are her papa. Just like the SO of those two lunatics, it would take time for their daughter to start understanding and pinpointing the differences between astartes, Alpharius and Omegon respectively. Just… jfc. Like, imagine this precious little thing walking and playing around and a group of Alpha Legion astartes pass by and she simply says “Hi, papa!” To. Each. One. Of. Them. Alpharius and Omegon take it as a funny little gag between them and an excellent way to ensure that their daughter never feels neglected but the SO isn’t amused about it.

There we go. Dump whatever fun facts yall wanna add too. I don't mind <333

While driving to work, as one does in this hellscape, I started to think about Lann from Wrath of the Righteous and Heinrix from Rogue Trader.
I like Lann as a character. In my previous blog I wrote about what was wrong with Lann's romance: pacing and the inability to flirt back when you want to. The length of the game and the lack of build up as friends-to-lovers makes Lann's romance feel slow. You don't get to tell him you find him romantically and sexually attractive until mid Chapter 4 - or rather he becomes willing to listen to your character in mid Chapter 4 despite being able to hint as early as Chapter 1 that you find him attractive.
After playing Rogue Trader, I realized some other elements that were wrong and Heinrix is what I wanted Lann's romance to be.
They're both similar as a 'slow burn' romance compared to many of their counterparts. How this slow burn is handled makes all the difference in the world between them.
After expressing interest in Chapter 2, which can occur easily with Lann, that's it. He gets bashful and down talks himself despite the tone you give him because he doesn't feel attractive. The next interaction is a punch in the nose in Chapter 3 before helping with his mother issues (which is his normal quest).
Heinrix also becomes awkward when you show attraction to him in Chapter 2, though this has to do with Heinrix having a horrific childhood and adulthood. He doesn't quite bring it up at Chapter 2 in 'show, don't tell' as much as a isometric CRPG can do.
That's where the strong similarities end. Besides the fact they both should have been bi.
Heinrix's romance has excellent pacing. You have moments of closeness throughout Chapter 2 in other companions' quests and most notably so if you're a psyker and the entirely optional Black Ship remains that you need to arrange perfectly to find what Heinrix's damage is - and in these moments you offer each other support. Additionally, you're able to play regidie with him with the correct dialogue, giving you the ability to create these moments between your RT and Heinrix.
By the time Chapter 2 ends, you're not together with Heinrix but the story gives you an incredible reason why - he's been spying on you badly and his position as an Interrogator means he's given up on a real relationship. When you chose to have comfort sex together in Chapter 3, it makes all the sense in the world. The rest of his romance is him dealing with his 'weakness' and how you've supported him and seen him as a human being.
Lann's pacing is... not good. As noted, you can express interest in Lann in Chapter 2 and... that's it until Chapter 3. A hell of a lot goes into Chapter 2, but there aren't small moments that bridge a friends-to-lovers relationship. Lann talks about wanting to protect you but we don't have moments of him stepping up for you or checking in on you. Chapter 3 rolls along with you getting punched in the nose during a sparring practice that the game cannot decide was on purpose as a date or not planned like that at all. The only moment that cements your romance is telling Lann's estranged mom you want to be more than friends. And that's it until Chapter 4 where he gets drunk after being embarrassed that he couldn't do his quest without your help and you confirm you're attracted to him. Then in Chapter 5, you get engaged, have your first date, your first kiss, have sex together, and then get married. The reason he isn't sure you want to romance him? He's ugly.
First of all, that's not true. Lann is attractive, but at no point are you able to say 'Lann, you're hot' and you never sincerely get to talk about the real reason he might be reluctant - his life span is dramatically shorter than your character's. The time he is sincere about this issue is from conversation that doesn't require you to romance him. Rather, he acts like it's his appearance rather than in 5 to 10 years, you're likely to become a widow in his eyes. His self loathing and fear doesn't connect to your romance.
On top of this from Chapter 2 to Chapter 5, at no point are you able to develop a friendship to romance that feels fulfilling. You can't spar with him after his romance scene in Chapter 3, you don't get the support he wants to give you, and you're the one trying to support him, making the romance one-sided.
Heinrix shows far more support towards your actions and is able to bring comfort or guidance throughout the game. He'll talk a little about his childhood and shows some of his aspects of self loathing, but he doesn't speak about the hardship he's had as a young man to his current age without really doing some exploring. His romance feels dynamic with tension, respect, and he being torn by his duty and wanting to be human.
Mind, this isn't just WotR vs Rogue Trader but individual writers. Daeran is much like Heinrix's in the sense he's dynamic and you get moments where he supports you and teases you. Sosiel and Arue have far better paced romances and I believe we written by Lann's writer, too.
I still like Lann, but he still deserves a far better romance than what he got.

Greetings oh Paladin from a humble witch dropping by. Figured I'd ask for funsies seeing as I quite like your views of Joshua Graham.
How, in your honest opinion, would Joshua react to a Psyker who practiced Witchcraft? I'm talking classic Psyker too, with elemental abilities and shit. Think Cassandra/the Sorceress from The Scorpion King if she had elemental telepathic powers too. Most recent post on my blog has a moodboard showcasing how I view the general aesthetics and personality/inspirations for my OC, if it helps some.
Not the kind of question I usually answer, as this is a particular character driven question, not precisely a paladin related one. But since you asked politely, I shall indulge you. Firstly, psykers are canon to the Fallout setting and have been around since the very first game. That said, those in particular were the result of the Master's experiments with the Forced Evolutionary Virus, after the Master themself discovered their own degree of of psychic powers after the rapid mutation and absorbing of individuals as they went from a singular being to the frightening being we eventually encounter. Thus, psykers are *rare* because they don't appear to occur naturally, and are more common to be a result of experimentation or mutation due to FEV or radiation in the weird science driven universe of Fallout. It's also a setting that has UFO aliens with little green men and lovecraftian horrors, so alternate sources of alteration from humans to have such abilities is conceivable. Josh Sawyer himself suggests here that while he has no issue with it being in the setting, he thinks it works best if it largely remains mysterious and unexplained. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Psyker#cite_note-4 That said, Joshua Graham comes from a more grounded aspect of the Fallout universe, his character and background derived from real world religious and cultural concepts, be it Mormonism, Christianity as a whole, tribal values, the consequences of colonialism, homogenization of culture, and empire as a whole. In a world where super mutants, robots, and undying ghouls dot the landscape, the most unusual and noteworthy event that pushes the bounds of what is natural in Joshua's story is his own continued survival after the events of the original battle for hoover dam, where for his failure he was burned alive and thrown into the Black Canyon of the Colorado river, and not only survived the process, but is arguably proven to be one of the most durable people in the setting as he is still cognizant, eloquent even, mobile, and capable of being a warrior and chieftain of astounding ability afterwards. He ascribes his survival, as he does to anything truly good in this world, to God's love and grace. So, what happens when this largely grounded aspect of the Fallout Universe encounters a person whose existence is derived from its more science fiction charged aspects? Honestly, not much. In terms of the psyker abilities, another byproduct of the wasteland and part of the Creator's plan in some way he probably will never understand. Them practicing witchcraft is honestly the most likely to draw him into a discussion. This is after all post nuke world where he has dealt with and likely participated in the cultural practices of many tribes that would likely be described as witchcraft. Given that the most proselytizing Joshua does to a Courier is at worst just discussing his own experiences if inquired, I doubt Graham would feel offended at person being a self proclaimed witch, but he would be tempted to ask questions and compare notes on their views on faith.

My Konrad/Lion kid now has a name, Circiel, s backstory and description. Under the cut as it contains Fabius Bile and Nostramanness.
Unlike many of her half siblings, Circiel was made by Fabius Bile, not Belisarius Cawl.
(Bile seems to be the kind of person who would have an army of killer children.)
Circiel was an unexpected success for Bile. He had mostly abandoned his Primarch cloning project, as it’s very difficult to make a perfect copy. Primarchs are basically warp entities in a human shaped body. And if you don’t have a suitable warp entity to stuff into the body, you will get something quite powerful, but not a Primarch.
But in Circiel’s case, the body created turned out to attract an old Nostraman saint, Nuinel, the patron saint of children and other innocents. Known as a protector who judged and hunted down transgressors, in later years she had been rather supplanted by the Night Haunter. So she took human form for the first time in millennia.
Which led to Circiel being born a full Primarch. Aura and everything. To Bile’s delight.
What did not delight him however, was Circiel being very hard to control. So simply didn’t stay put.
It didn’t help that Nuinel combined with Circiel’s inherited talents very well. Resulting in her being able to track down the guilty no matter where they are. Warp, Materium, Webway, reaching them anywhere. Meaning she frustrates Bile to no end. As he can’t experiment further when she simply doesn’t stay in his laboratory.
Not to mention her helping herself to his weapons before disappearing on him.
Erebus and Kor Phaeron, better be afraid. Circiel Nuinel el’Johnson Curze is coming for you and your hides, and she brought worse things than salt for the wounds.
In her quest to rid the world of people who offend her sense of justice, duty and honor, she ran into her half sister Iraella, who was only too happy to share weapons and targets.
Of course this has led to Constantin Valdor being on Circiel’s list. Fortunately for him there’s quite a few motherless bastard sons to hunt down in the galaxy.
Personality and appearance notes:
She is a highly intelligent snarky little smartass with an occasional foul mouth and a tendency to bite and stab. Quite feral and stubborn. Being chronologically three, like Iraella, she looks about nine or ten. Surprisingly cute and innocent looking, which she has been known to take advantage of to make her targets underestimate her. Wearing cute pink dresses that conceal a lot of weapons, and making her look even younger.
Powers:
As above, replicated here for the sake of finding it easier, she is able to track down the guilty no matter where they are. Warp, Materium, Webway, reaching them anywhere.
She might be small, but she’s strong, and a psyker, which means she is also very fast, and capable of lifting and throwing things bigger than herself. One day, she swears, she will throw a Baneblade at someone.
From Konrad she didn’t just inherit his visions, but his psychic scream. In her case she doesn’t get the seizures. But the visions are often unclear.
As well, she inherited the ability to turn into a cloud of smoke, making her very difficult to contain. (There is some debate about the canonicity of this, but it is a known classic vampire ability, so I am keeping it in)
So far she has figured out how to control rats, which she uses to spy for the most part, or have them eat evidence. She can have them nibble people to death, but she would prefer to save that for situations where she has enough rats. She likes her rats, and would rather be cautious than get them killed.
One particular black and white rat is her cherished pet, whom she named Lancelot. Often carrying him around. (Could be a female rat, not like she knows how to figure that out. Wasn’t on Bile’s curriculum.)
Note: While she is powerful and intelligent, she is also a little girl. Meaning she has more limitations than an adult. Her body can only handle so much power use before she exhausts or hurts herself. Meaning she cannot be wasteful or make too many mistakes.
Also having to be careful and discreet. She will be very noticeable in quite a few places, standing out as someone who should be protected. Very few people would let a little girl walk around battlefields alone, for instance.
Not to mention she doesn’t know everything. She is a child, and visions don’t automatically give context or the information you need to understand them properly.

On one hand, the reader having to carry whatever Typhus put inside her is a horrifying concept. But on the other hand I am a little bit curious if this whole thing will lead to her having his kids (since I’m pretty sure that’s what’s being implied in the fic). Because while there’s definitely the possibility of the reader’s child being some kind of horrible warp daemon in the guise of a newborn. There’s also the possibility of the opposite happening, the reader is a perpetual, which is something that can canonically be passed on from parent to child. So imagine a rotting, decaying, plague ridden Typhus hanging out with his kid, who is just completely normal. No diseases no infections no nothing, a perfectly healthy child who is unfazed by all the nurgle horror going on around them
These are some fun hypotheticals, anon! While perpetual!RT!Reader is carrying Something Else in the fic, Typhus would be... So Normal about his wife bearing him one/multiple children. So have a couple of non-canon snippets of Typhus, his child and perpetual!Reader!
warnings: body horror, kidnapping, lying
"Easy, Caeran, steady. Breathe in deeply, let your mind and hearts be still." Calas murmured to his child.
They held the training sword in both hands, trembling with effort, having tried and failed to overcome the shambling poxwalker that father had summoned for them to use as a training partner. "Yes papa." They panted out, leaning into one of his legs. They were frowning adorably in concentration.
An affectionate smile warms his face and Calas kneels before bending over and giving them a kiss on their forehead. "My fierce little warrior-priest." They had been blessed with their mother's eternal nature and had shown some additional psyker abilities. They were also, in his entirely un-biased opinion, the most wonderfully precious and precocious Aspirant to ever exist. Only a handful of his most trusted Brothers were even aware that Caeran was his son. Most of the others believed that he was merely a talented and very young psyker whom Calas had been led to by Grandfather's Will.
Caeran giggled and kissed their papa back on his cheek before returning to the sword-forms that they were learning. Several of papa's bees buzzed around them and landed on their head, watching and listening.
~
"But.. Why can't I play with the other aspirants, papa?" Caeran asked, a pout on their lips as they fold their arms over their chest, mimicking Typhus.
"Because you're stronger than they are, and you, like me and your mama, have psychic gifts given to you by Grandfather. The others do not, and psykery is often thought of as scary, especially from the awful world that I rescued them from." Typhus explained. He was not going to be moved by their adorable mimicry, nor their pouting. The newly acquired aspirants had been liberate from a corpse-worshipper world, and had yet to truly acclimatize to their new surroundings and liege lord. Ultramarines, even very young ones, were self-righteous and stubborn as fuck.
He had no desire for their foolishness to infect his child - especially as Caeran's healthy body and vibrant mind would make the soon to be converted Ultramarine Aspirants assume that they were also held captive aboard his fleet until they surrendered to Grandfather's Will.
Which wasn't true, but they had no way of knowing that.
"Mama said that it was fine if I played with them! So why are you saying no?" Caeran huffed, pouting more up at Calas.
He was not going to give into their pouting… And it seems he had a mischief-filled wife to gently scold. "Because they are confused right now. You will be able to play with them later."
"Awww… When is later going to be?" Caeran whined, looking up at him pleadingly.
"I can't say for sure. But I will tell you when you are able to… In the meantime, will you help me count the Little Lords who are wandering around on the upper decks? More of them have shown up recently." Calas asked, trying to divert his child's attention.
Caeran beamed and nodded "Yes I will papa! I love playing with them!" And they ran off to go chase the nurglings, giggling as they pitter-pattered away.
~
"-nd that was how I was able to convince the governor of Ablenshwein to join the commonwealth I once ruled over." Mama explained, smiling a little in the memory.
"If you have a commonwealth, why don't we ever visit any of those planets? Why are we always stuck on papa's ship?" Caeran asked, tilting their head a little up at you "I wanna know what grass feels like beneath my feet! I wanna know what it's like to be outside. How come we never get to leave?"
Mama's smile faded and she felt very sad for several moments before scooping them up and hugging them tight to her chest "I… Your papa is very protective over the two of us. He worries that if we go to a planet, we'll be lost to him, and he doesn't want that."
"But… But Papa says that you and I can't die. That we can't get sick, or be afflicted with the gifts of Grandfather Nurgle, like other people, which is why we look the way we do, rather than like papa or his brothers and the cultists." Caeran pointed out a confused frown appearing on their face. "How could papa possibly lose us, if we can't die?"
Mama was sad again, though she was still smiling at them. "There are other ways to lose people, other than death. He's worried that you and I would get separated from him. That he wouldn't be able to reach us."
"But that's silly! Even if papa isn't with us, some of his bees are, and he knows where all his bees are at all times." Caeran pointed out, still confused.
"Planets can be much larger than this ship, and his bees can only go so far away from him before they vanish back into the warp. Now, how well have you been able to sneak around, my heart?" Mama asks.
Caeran giggled "I was able to sneak through the vents for hours and no one noticed! I was also able to talk to the new people on papa's ship. The ones that felt scared and unhappy, like you told me to. They were really surprised that I was there, just like you said they would be! Their armor kind of reminds me of papa's, except that they're different colors and they didn't smell."
"Very good, Cae! Were you able to tell them what I asked you to?" Mama pressed, her eyes wide.
Caeran nodded "Uh-huh. I told them every word of what you told me to tell them. They thanked me for the message and were pretty confused about it. But I think that they'll listen."
"Good job. Now, you know that this is a secret between you and me. No telling papa or his bees or anyone else who obeys papa." Mama reminded them.
"Yes mama. I know mama. It's a secret surprise that you an' me are working on." Caeran huffed, rolling their eyes a little. Mama could be so silly about these things. Of course they were keeping this a secret from papa. Papa would scold him for going near the new people and causing mischief.

Just genuinely curious to get opinions on this one from an Ex-Mormon. I'm a witch and the OC(not a Courier Six) I made for Fallout NV that meets Joshua is also a witch. She is also a Mutant(not super tho) with enhanced speed/strength, & a Psyker with vast elemental telekinetic capabilities that are hampered by her having hyperthyroidism. Her mutation strain and abilities can drain her badly if she's not prepared enough with backup energy beforehand. If you'd like to know more and need more info pls DM me if it helps. I just wanna know how you think Joshua would react to meeting her, the things she'd do to help whilst in Zion(from giving herbal remedies out to protecting others with her abilities), and her beliefs(which are akin to my own and revolve around a mix of witchcraft, Jungian psychology, and alchemy as a general philosophy).
(Look at me trying not to overdo it and I end up still saying a crap ton lol)
I mean, if Joshua was someone who actually put doctrine and the rules of his faith into proper practice? That could be an issue. Not so much the psyker stuff (I don't know what the LDS church's stance on Psyker abilities would be if they were real because... they're not, so it's one of those things that's never come up lol) but the witchy stuff. I don't know if I could accurately comment on the mutation stuff because honestly, I kind of feel like the second mutated enhancements enter reality, the Church's policies are likely to be like 'that's fine as long as you were born with it and use it for god, I guess.' If I had to really guess, I think at most, Joshua's reaction oir 'position' to her enhanced abilities would be that they are gifts from Heavenly Father and that they should be used in service and to honour God and do His works. (What Joshua thinks qualifies as 'God Honouring,' though, is a whole other question...) The church is very big on our talents being blessings from God and thus should also be used to further God and Christ's works. Ie. If you're a talented artist, you should commit some of that time to painting religious artwork. if you're good at basketball, use your talents to donate your time to teach children in need as part of charity works. The current stance that the LDS church takes on witchcraft or the 'occult' is that it 'focuses on darkness and leads to deception. It destroys faith in Christ.' The LDS church currently considers:
"Such activities include (but are not limited to) fortune-telling, curses, and healing practices that are imitations of the priesthood power of God (see Moroni 7:11–17)."
However, I'd be remiss to not mention that old mate Joseph Smith was actually quite into the 'occult' himself prior to him having his little incident with the Angel Moroni. He actually made a living for a while as a 'treasure seer' and claimed he could see hidden treasures or gold or valuable stones without digging by placing a seer stone into a hat, sticking his face inside and having all revealed to him. This, coincidentally, is how Joseph Smith later claimed he was able to translate the 'reformed egyptian' language of the Golden Plates into what we now know as the Book of Mormon. (No, I'm serious.)
Mormonism actually has a lot of practices, beliefs, and superstitions lifted from old American folk-religion. For example, sacred garments (the magic underwear, yes, yes,) has 'sacred' symbols stitched into them that sit over significant parts of the body. Mormons are warned against swimming on Sundays as it's believed that Satan can more easily reach a person through the water on the Sabbath. Mormons are also encouraged to try and use herbal and natural remedies where possible (although it is really stressed that they aren't replacements for actual medicine or healthcare by any means. Mormonism does not believe in or practice replacing scientifically backed healthcare and medicine with 'prayer' or faith healing.) A lot of Mormons believe in 'the evil eye,' which is something that has been passed down since before their ancestors arrived in America to enter the church. A pretty surprising chunk of the Pioneer Mormons were actually new to America and had immigrated from Europe and the UK in order to join the Church, and they brought their old superstitions and practices with them!
And all this without getting into Temple practices, which are witchy as all shit if you want to look into that!
So there's a level of irony there, definitely, and I think if your character got to know Joshua well enough to have those kinds of conversations, he might find that their beliefs have more in common than he initially realises.
That being said, though, when it comes to Joshua specifically, it's important to remember that for all his religious torment and passion and fire, he's a fucking terrible Mormon in practice. The entire point of Honest Hearts is that Joshua is simply using his faith as a justification and weapon to get his revenge against Caesar and the Legion. Joshua knows in his heart that he, as an individual, doesn't really have a right to demand a crusaid of revenge against Caesar without being just as bad, and Joshua, like Caesar, wants his victories to also be moral ones. So, Joshua weaponises his faith. It's not him wanting to wipe out the White Legs to get to Caesar, it's God telling him to. You can't criticise Joshua or his motivations, because it's God's ordinance and God's will! And, honestly, this is something Honest Hearts got bang on fucking correct about Mormons! Mormons (and a lot of people of other faiths, too) love hiding behind 'God's will' to avoid accountability for themselves! 'I'm not homophobic -- God is just very clear about hating the sin!' 'I have no problem with trans people, but God was very clear about designing our bodies to be perfect in his eyes from birth!' The meaning is always the same -- don't blame me, blame God.
So, how would Joshua actually feel about the Witch stuff? I think it depends when your courier meets him and when he finds out (and how he finds out.) Before his real come to jesus moment at the end of Honest Hearts? Knowing him? He'd probably find a reacharound way to make it acceptable enough for him to try and have her use it to his benefit -- a logical loophole (Mormons love those) or a piece of scripture that can act as an excuse. But afterwards? That's more complicated. He'd likely be adverse to it -- he'd be happy to abide her presence (if not hospitable as always,) but he'd likely request that she not discuss or go about practicing it in front of the Tribes or even himself. If she must practice it and can't abstain, he'd probably ask her to find somewhere away from the camps to do so.
Joshua's a bit of an intellectual, though (at least when it comes to nerdy shit; emotionally I think he's a dumbass) and I don't doubt his passion for his faith and/or his curiosity would get the best of him after a while. If they were ever alone and the mood was right, he'd probably try and pose a polite question about her beliefs as 'genuine curiosity,' but try to steer it into a moment for him to share his testimony with her -- which is probably likely to end in a friendly ("friendly") debate, depending on your Courier. Joshua is pretty stubborn so I doubt he'd let it go as a one time thing, so I don't think your courier would be off the hook after one time, either. But, with enough time and discussion, he'd probably come to accept it, even begrudgingly, if he could see how it helped the Courier or how the Courier's beliefs were able to help others.
thanks for coming to my ted talk

Hey! Another OC question if its okay - what was Venria’s upbrining as a kid, and how did she discovered her abilities?
Hi, yes of course, it's a pleasure, thank you for asking ❤️
Venria was born as Venria van Maynard on the voidship where her father served the imperial navy as Lord Captain. The van Maynards came from a long line of navy officers, although due to the war heavily decimated until only Venria and her family remained.
Her older brother died one day during an attack and this is when her father decided to relocate his remaining family (to secure the few who were still existing of the von Maynards) to the fortress planet Wrath in the Segmentum Ultima, Sector Jericho Reach while he would continue his duty on board. Venria was 10 at this point.
With her younger brother Tiberius and a close friend who came from the schola progenium, she was visiting the naval academy. It was a good life for her, although she hardly ever saw her father. She was different then too - confident, often smiling and always looking for a challenge.
One day, she was 15, she led Tiberius and their friend Refijel (for whom she had developed romantic feelings but hadn't told him yet) to a search across the float (ghetto-like settlements on the shore of the single islands on Wrath, consisting of rough floating platforms and lashed-together boats) for a disappearing pupil from their academy.
What she did not anticipate was stumbling into a nest of cultists in the middle of conjuring a daemon with the missing pupil as a sacrifice. A fight broke out and this is when her powers emerged, saving her life when she was about to drown in the ice-cold water. She saw a vague form above her and in her mind called for help and the telepathic command forced the cultist to pull her out of the water.
It ended with Tiberius heavily injured and Refijel dead.
She heavily blames herself for what happened, leading Tiberius and Refijel to their doom. She also shot an inflammable container above the cultists to end them without regard for herself and her brother and friend. She often asks herself why she didn't hesitate and tried to find another way.
She got lucky though, as Wrath also contained a safe house for the Inquisition and an Inquisitor was already investigating the cult and got curious about her. She still doesn't know what potential he saw in her, but he was the reason she did not have to spend too much time in prison (psyker ward) and was spared the black ship. She was sedated and woke up in a secret training facility for psykers on a different planet and from there, after surviving, she was taken into the retinue of another Inquisitor as an acolyte.
But it was her mistake, not the psyker powers that led to this, which is why she does not see them as a curse but as an opportunity to do good to find some salvation.
She never saw her family again and her family name was changed to Aldor-Lexis.
Thank you again, that was fun 💜

Skitters in here. 7 and 15 for the boyyyy >:)
7. Was there a defining moment in their life that influenced their Conviction?
In the long term, there are a lot of factors you could say contribute to Laz being such a hardline Iconoclast; he's been through some of the real pits of the Imperium since the day he was born.
However, I think the most influential event was probably his Darkest Hour-- when he was about 15 and had only briefly been serving a noble family as their pet Imperium assigned psyker, they were trapped on an extended warp jump for over a year. The youngest daughter of the family fell to Chaos and, in an attempt to cause a full breach of the Gellar fields, tortured him and left him strung up by the wrists in a furnace room on the lower decks. Under extreme mental and physical duress, Laz was able to resist the temptation to give in by focusing entirely on his desire to keep the crew safe- despite the fact that the voidsmen themselves were too scared of their mistress to offer him any help.
Laz feels a great, painful wave of affection, like a bolt in the heart. They will not save him; they’ve half-forgotten that he’s even here, except when they take curious glances up to make sure his shadowy, emaciated body is still there in the dark. He doesn’t want them to die. They are people like him, and there are thousands of them here in the dark. He will not be the thing that kills them.
The infuriatingly slow trickle of blood down his leg continues. His wounds haven’t closed, though the bleeding has slowed.
This cements two of Laz's primary conviction traits- his protectiveness of the crew and his expectation that no one will ever save him, and that he will receive no reward or relief. And yet it's baked into him to try to protect everyone.
17. What are their strengths in combat? What are their weaknesses?
Mechanically, Laz is a solid midline damage-dealer, but he doesn't have very much health or much support capacity; if you're bigger than him and you get him in close quarters, he's pretty much fucked. A particular strength of his is his voidborn Just a Flesh Wound-there's a good chance he doesn't actually fall unconscious when beaten to a pulp and instead blows up your brain while laying facedown on the ground.
Narratively, Laz's strength is absolutely his ability to telepathically link the members of his immediate retinue so that they're able to predict and react to each others' movements with almost no delay, as well as "project" the possible outcomes of future moves. Effectively, his telepathy is the Watsonian explanation for the turn-based strategic combat. It also serves as at least something of a countermeasure when facing genestealers; it puts him under a lot of strain, but he can more or less shelter his people from entities like the Sire. Laz also has oddly good luck with basically never triggering Warp effects on his psyker abilities. He's certainly not the strongest psyker in the retinue, but he has a truly iron will...again, probably directly related to the extreme trial by fire in his Darkest Hour, described above.

Artemis lore dump
I'm doing these now appearently (this one is going to be funky because there's two distinct versions of artemis. I will give you the one that most closely follows 40K canon) >Artemis B-20-A
Tumblr media
Origin: Artemis was created by Archmagos Biologis Hieronymous XIV of forgeworld Repleator. They were vat grown based on Hieronymous' own DNA. Artemis does not know this, Hieronymous has not told them, and there is not enough flesh left on the archmagos for physical similarities to show up. Hieronymous also does not treat Artemis like his child, but rather like a promising apprentice. Hieronymous, personally, does not see artemis as his offspring either, more like a project. but that's for a hieronymous loredump if we ever get to that. Artemis is a psyker of some variety, though not in a way that the imerium really knows what to do with. They have an uncanny affinity for machinery, to the point where they can influence the machines around them with mere thought, unaided by augmentation. The leading hypothesis/belief along the techpriests around Artemis is that Artemis has absorbed (part of) the machine spirit of the vat they were grown in, changing the way the young adept has developed. History: Artemis was lab-grown and enrolled in the mechanicus from the moment they drew their first breath. Their creator (Hieronymous) did not interfere with their early life, instead handing Artemis over to a vat-priest to be raised among vat-born skitarii. Thus that is how they were raised until they were 6, and could officially become an acolyte of the cult mechanicus. They started their training by following around low-ranking techpriests and helping them out in whatever way a 6-year-old can, spending free time wandering Repleator's bio-forges... and nicking fruits from the machines, to relish in how much better they tasted than the Skitarii rations they were brought up with. The forgemaster was aware of this, and would occasionally scold the little thief, but other times he would pretend not to see the small child nestled in between the processing machines, and the sticky handprints all around the forge. At night they would still be with the vatpriest and whichever of their skitarii brethren had not been deployed yet. I should probably point out that the relationship between artemis and the skitarii has always been strained, due to the undeniable differences between them. As Artemis grew up more and more, Hieronymous became more and more present in their life as well, acting as a teacher and officially agreeing to tutoring the "promising young adept" around the time Artemis turned 12. This is also around the time artemis recieved their first augmentation, a mechadendrite, after begging for it excessively. From there, Artemis has been Hieronymous' loyal student, alert and devoted to the cause. they have also moved into Hieronymous quarters, where they live and sleep most of the time. Their unique abilities being helpful, but not in a way that stands out to the others. After a few years, however, artemis requested a private sanctum, which was granted. This request came from how overwhelming it was for Artemis to be surrounded by machines at all times, while artemis loves to hear what they describe as "the omnissiah's song", and to sense the machine spirits around, sometimes a human wants some peace and quiet. On orders of Hieronymous, a small room was furnished with an altar and prayer mats, as well as a simple bed, for Artemis to use. It is far away from the main forges, tucked into a corner near some rooms mostly used for meetings and consultation, but it is perfect for Artemis' needs. A note on personality: Artemis is extremely devoted to the Omnissiah, which is only strengthened by their affinity for machinery. However, they are not as inclined to "righteous violence" as one might expect. Rather, Artemis considers themself to be a scholar first and foremost, in all matters, and is likely approach situations with curiosity rather than outright judgement. That said, xenos and chaos are very scary and artemis does not want to be caught at the wrong end of someone else's gun, so when these things come up they might mask their distrust and fear with snide remarks and rudeness. as always, feel free to ask things if you wanna!

Agents of the Imperium
Talk of the Agents of the Imperium might be the redacted Codex has started to really come up more, & I am seeing some people bring up what they would like in it, so I am throwing my own thoughts & ideas
Tumblr media
I think the first thing is I see another Keyword group being added in this case the Ecclesiarchy/Adeptus Ministorum, not sure which word they will use.
Tumblr media
Having things like Preachers, Crusaders, and Missionaries being able to be used by all Imperium Factions now, while also adding to it a Black Priest.
Now on to what they have will go from gaining the least to most with first the Officio Assassinorum
Tumblr media
I don't see them getting any new units, and while yes there are still a couple Temples that still don't have models I feel the other sub groups will get more focus and instead the Assassins will get the option for Onslaught/3000 points games to do an Execution Force where if your 3 character slots are taken up each by a different Assassin you can add the missing one. It will be something like this or Execution Force will be a Detachment that allows you to use all 4 Assassin types or something.
Next would the Navis Imperialis/Imperial Navy with Rogue Trader being thrown in as they use the Keyword as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Astropaths which works great for both, this new Psyker as a character for them would be great. I don't see the Navy specific getting anything considering its officers are usually on the bridge, but a Customizable Rogue Trader & Entourage does feel like something GW could do. On to bringing up those who go after those who break the Law the Adeptus Arbites.
Tumblr media
They hold a number of Squad choices so what is really missing for them would be a character to properly lead them. The Judge just screams this, with a detachment to highlight their abilities being added. However if some extra flavour a Transport Vehicle that being the Admonisher, with 1 not taking up slots for every Judge + Arbites squad combo.
Ok it has been pretty bare honestly however that is also to be expected the Agents are really there to give some out of left field help, to spice up or help fill in a role for Imperium Armies, and while the last one will still stick to that I see a lot given to those of the Inquisition.
Tumblr media
For starters 2 customizable minis of the non-special character Inquistor. The old model would be gone and instead the customizable models will be 1 based around Blessed Wardings, while the other being Psychic Gifts. Next up is alternate retune members, a set of 3-4 members to replace the ones of the basic Inquisitorial Henchmen. However there will be 3 different sets one for each of the 3 Ordos that are played with. Most likely a Detachment focused around these Ordos as well. I see each Ordo playing a driving role in the story involving the Pariah Nexus. Already Inquisitor Kyria Draxus of the Ordo Xeno is there as it is Xeno creation, but a big game changer is the Sisters of Battle's faith who help the Ordo Hereticus, and finally Vashtorr has appeared there & from the Ordo Malleus is Torquemada Coteaz who is trying to find the Daemon/God. So them being a driving force seems likely. I believe we will see 3 Incursion/1000 point boxes, for the 3 Ordo. Ordo Malleus: -Torquemada Coteaz (new Model) -Inquisitorial Henchmen -Ordo Malleus set - Grey Knights Character model -Grey Knights Infantry X2 Ordo Xeno: - Kyria Draxus -Inquisitorial Henchmen -Ordo Xenos set -Deathwatch Character -Deathwatch Infantry X2 Ordo Hereticus: -Katarinya Greyfax -Inquisitorial Henchmen -Ordo Hereticus set -Adepta Sororitas Character -Adepta Sororitas Infantry X2
So that's how I think they might/should handle the Agents of the Imperium/Imperial Agents. Any thoughts and feed back would be great.

WH40k Rogue Trader OC - Maarden von Valancius
So, I think I should put on a (virtual) paper thoughts and ideas about one of my RTs. Surprisingly, this will be my second character, Maarden because for some reason my brain generated a lot of ideas for his biography. Maybe some time after I'll think about my first characted, Lady Noelle von Valancius and probably it will be intertwined with headcanons for Heinrix since they are in relationships, plus I think both Noelle and Maarden exist together. Well, ok, let's get started.
This text contains information which is headcanon born by my imagination. Also, there will be some 18+ details. EDIT: I may add some new information from time to time. I want it all to be in one place, don't like to make many posts.
Name: Maarden
Sex: Male
Age: 32
Ideoligy: Iconoclast
Occupation: Sanctioned psyker (Pyromancy + a little bit of Telepathy)
Homeworld: Forge World
Appearance: 181 cm tall, long blond hair, strong build (pronounced muscles)
Facts:
Maarden was supposed to become an Adeptus Mechanicus acolyte. As a child he showed skills in mechanics, could create simple mechanisms. He learnt to understand Lingua-technis and made small two-buttoned machine to "speak" it using clicking sounds.
His psychic abilities manifested themselves by the age of 10. Burglars broke into a house during family event: the whole family was dining while little Maarden and his grandfather's dog, which he considered his best friend, were at the other room. The dog started barking and tried to attack burglars, but the biggest one kicked the animal. Maarden was scared and tried to run towards his wounded friend, but one of culprits grabbed him. At this moment boy started to scratch a man's face and suddenly his hands were cought in fire. He melted criminal's face, his associate were scared to death and started screaming. Maarden's family member saw this horrible scene and called the authorities... and members of the Inquisition.
Maarden's hands after this incident were covered in burn scars which healed not very well.
During his training Maarden met an older student, a biomancer, who cured his hands. Since then they become good friend but were separated and lost contact after biomancer ended his studying and was sent to serve to another planet.
Maarden spent some time serving on Terra, then he traveled through several Forge worlds since he's never forgotten his old skills. He worked with Adeptus Mechanicus as translator and sometimes as spy of some sort.
Telepathy skilles showed themselves during Maarden's years of studying but were very weak, almost undetected. He couldn't control them fully. The only thing he learnt by the time is creating a copy of his room where he could escape to think, to process some events; it looked like a very deep meditation. He couldn't really hear other people's thoughts, only by accident, and he could not control other's minds.
He treats Noelle as his younger long distand sister with care and kindness.
Maarden has no fear or caution towards Heinrix. On a contrary, he sees him as a friendly psyker, not a member of the Inquisition, because he reminds him of a friend of his youth (mostly because the interrogator is also biomancer). Maarden likes to talk with Heinrix though sometimes he is worried he might be too talkative.
He also likes to have conversations with Pasqal, mostly using his Lingua-technis device. Magos finds this intriguing and amusing, but at the same time he enjoys Maarden's company. Pasqal helped pyromancer to improve language skills and also improved his "speaking" machine, to make it less "primitive" and more convenient to use.
Heinrix is the first person who was allowed to experience Maarden's telepathy. He invited the interrogator into his mind though they could not enter Maarden's "room" (pyromances also created a copy of coridor which led to his "safe place"). Maarden concluded this might be because his "room" is a very special place and it will let in only those who are very close to him. Still, the experience was interesting for both of them.
After events in Commorragh and probably hemunculus' intervention Maarden's telepathy became stronger and brigher. It manifested suddenly: for a brief moment Maarden's mind touched Heinrix's when he and his loved one, Noelle, shared a very intimate moment together. Maarden was scared: first of all, he hoped this uncontrolled action was unnoticed, secondly even though their minds touched for a couple of seconds, Maarden experienced a rushed flow of emotions, sensations and he "deciphered" and understood them all. Pyromancer learnt Heinrix loves Noelle with all his heart, his feelings are pure and strong, he never experiences this happiness before and doesn't want to lose it; Maarden discovered these two have a very strong "spiritual connection".
After the whole team came back to the ship, Maarden approached Heinrix and "confessed" about what he saw and felt. The interrogator was listening to him calmly and by the end of the speech, he said: "I will contact my resourses so they will send you manuals containing technics to help with development and control of telepathic skills. And... thank you for being honest with me".
When Maarden is drunk (which happens very rarely, mostly he can start drinking if he experienced strong stress which he can't deal with other practices) his psychic powers for some reasons are blocked. He can't light even a single candle.
Maarden is bisexual, he has relationship experience with women but never had long and deep relationships with men (he never even got to share a bed with men).
Maarden loves, LOVES kisses. Deep, long kiss, intertwined tongues can make him turned on very fast.
Maarden loves sex. He doesn't sleep with the first "pretty face" he sees, he didn't have a lot of partners because, of course, feelings and love in general are important, plus his work needs a lot of time. When it comes to sex he is ready to give everything and more to the one he is with and spent all night with zero sleep.
Maarden knows he wants to try a role of "bottom", even though he might be the leader/dominant in relationships with a man in general. He decided he needs to at least try how it would work, so now he owns a couple of sex toys (nothing extreme, pretty simple ones) and uses them from time to time.
Maarden is in "relashionships" with Marazhai. Pyromancer acts as dominant with him and finds it intriguing, he knows about dark eldar nature and habits, yet he tries to not cross the border because he still is a human and cannot allow himself to hurt someone he finds dear. So he "tortures" his pet with unusual tools: he tries to teach him to like kisses as much as he do, step by step, and, as a reward, allows Marazhai to take him in whatever position dark eldar wants and as hard as he wants, which ends up with loud moans and cries of pleasure and pleads of more. Maarden is also opened towards some BDSM practises to please his dark lover with pain.
Marazhai is the first person who was allowed to enter Maarden's "room in the head". At first dark eldar protested, his kin are not fond of psykers, but sometimes you cannot say "no" to your master, especially when he asks nicely (and Maarden really asked his lover and did not force him to do what he would never want to do).

Let me please say that unless we know for sure from the writer all our takes are interpretations. And I actually like that we do not have an answer from Olga to everything, that we have room for interpretation here.
In any case in fanfiction / head canon you can do what you want anyway - we don't need to come up with justification.
I do try to have my own interpretation of him to be as close as possible to what we see in game (instead of just writing what I think is fun because then I risk him feeling OOC for myself and that is then no longer the character I came to love). But that is of course, still heavily subjective.
And yes, I totally get that is just fun to write sex with biomancy.
So please take anything I write here only as my personal interpretation and how I approach it in my head canon and my own fanfic.
I am not in the 100% he would never ever use biomancy for sex camp. But I think it requires a very good reason for him to do this. I can imagine that e.g. if his partner has really trouble to enjoy sex or to get an orgasm that he might try to use his powers to help there.
But I don't think he would casually use biomancy for sex right from the start without concerns (not saying he can't be persuaded because we do see him being influenced by RT). Just like I don't see him using his powers for mundane things. Especially during warp travel.
Yes, he is a psyker and he is right that it is dangerous. But - he is sanctioned, he has lots of experience and we see him using his powers for interrogating/torturing, healing (not to be nitpicking, he says he can heal RT during freight line soup scene but actually doesn't, but we see him using his powers for healing in other instances), in combat, to mercy kill, to threaten etc.
But that is usually outside warp travels.
We see him using his powers on Rykad Minoris to help Idira or psyker RT during the triumph and when there are warp breaches everywhere. And we see him using the powers e.g. when Marazhai has his first warp travel experience - but these are life threatening situations.
He says himself:
"{n}Heinrix's eyes narrow.{/n} \"Why are we wasting time and entertaining the risks of using psyker abilities in the warp? For what? So that you can keep your pet predator? Isn't it about time you rid your menagerie of this exotic menace?\""
There is also a warp event where he shows up on the med deck to get help - we know he can heal himself, he did it on Commorragh, and I am not sure if he really was in a better condition there as here in the warp event.
So during warp travel it seems to me - based on the game - that he only tries to use his powers in really dire or dangerous situations.
And while it seems inside the game that we travel instantly from one system to the next, you can assume that days, weeks or even months pass in that time. Unfortunately there isn't really much info given and there is also no explanation how Cassia is able to handle that. Aside from a comment that she must have told Heinrix during a warp travel about Commorragh - so she isn't (and also can't) be navigating during the complete travel time.
I would say we spend more time with all the warp travel than actually in realspace.
That his powers are useful and he uses it for his own gain and to help others is also true. I think he also might have had a positive experience with his powers since they allowed him to restore himself and to heal him and others (maybe even fellow acolytes - he can e.g. heal Achilleas) - although they were the reason he got into this situation the first place.
Outside warp I can imagine that he might try it or start to use it - especially if he sees RT suffering or asking him for it. And then the question is - would he continue to use it during warp? Where they spend most of the time together? It might be. Just as you said - a small concession and then it builds up.
And I also agree that he has moments where he seems arrogant at times regarding his skills e.g. when he (hardened) says he will investigate Emelina's data himself (of course thinking he won't be corrupted).
But even then we see him being careful during warp travels - so for me it is at least tied to him having concerns and having to make a difficult decision.
My other personal take is that while his powers can make sex more fun there is also the aspect how much being a psyker has influenced his life. It is the reason he lost nearly everything he had and is also the reason he is allowed to live - by being useful. He has other skills, but said himself - Xavier only wanted him for his powers. He restored himself to look and feel more human - to be useful outside being a biomancer.
"Xavier didn't care that I was a maimed freak — he needed me for my sorcery, nothing more. But I decided I would be more useful if I could start to look more like a human again.\
I can see him being able to please his partner without using these powers as a big thing for him. For once not being reduced to what he can do with his powers.
I am not trying to keep anyone from enjoying their biomancy sex head canons or fics, just trying to explain why I see it differently.
My thoughts on Heinrix using biomancy during sex is that it he would approach it like he does all his emotionally-charged decisions.
He'd tell himself he's not going to use it for all the myriad of reasons, but once he's in that emotionally-charged situation, it's a whole different scenario.
Also, Heinrix uses biomancy to cure headaches and tummy ills (he tells RT as much when they eat the lower deck slimemold.) He likes to talk about the dangers of warp powers, but I do think there's a small part of Heinrix that believes (maybe even a tad bit arrogantly) that he is good enough to bend the rules here and there when it comes to how he employs his abilities.
I absolutely could see him getting swept up in the emotional moment of it all, making a small concession and then it building from there.
I like these kinds of discussions, and I honestly don't think he's the kind of character where you can say 100% he would or would not do this. Heinrix's character does a lot of mental gymnastics and justifying for someone with black and white stances. He does a lot of living in the grey spaces of morality.
I think it's more a question of, how would he justify it or in what circumstances would he feel compelled to use it?

i really like the relationship heinrix and idira develop throughout the game.
both of them are psykers, but they view their abilities completely differently - idira sees them as a blessing, a gift she's strong enough to use, while heinrix sees them as a curse. and idira is an unsanctioned psyker, while heinrix is an agent of the inquisition.
but on rykad minoris, if the rogue trader isn't a psyker, heinrix reaches out to idira to help her, even as he's suffering under the same onslaught of warp energies that's afflicting her.
Tumblr media
when talking to hieronymus on footfall, heinrix offers to help idira again.
Tumblr media
(argenta, another loyal servant of the imperium like heinrix…doesn't.)
Tumblr media
it's in the small things, too. when she loses her flask on the bridge, he reminds her where she left it. (next to vigdis!) and he rarely (not never, but rarely) calls her 'witch', choosing to refer to her as 'lady tlass' or 'mistress tlass' instead.
and when the time comes for idira to choose whether to use the druhkari device to control her powers, heinrix tells her not to.
Tumblr media
even as a high ranking member of the inquisition, it's not as though he has to relentlessly pursue every infraction of imperial dogma. calcazar, for instance, also knows full well about the existence of an unsanctioned psyker in the rogue trader's retinue. he just doesn't care.
when duty allows, heinrix certainly does care.

Boarding Patrol armies are those that focus on deploying small squads of troops onto enemy ships in order to capture them or destroy vital systems within them. These armies tend to be highly mobile, with lots of special rules that allow you to move around quickly and strike hard from unexpected angles. 10) Ultramarines Model contents: – 1x Captain in Gravis Armour – 5x Heavy Intercessors – 10x Assault Intercessors The Ultramarines are one of the oldest and most well-respected Space Marine Chapters. They were founded by Roboute Guilliman, who is often referred to as "the Emperor's right hand." Their specialty is boarding actions, which makes them great for taking down enemy ships in space battles. The Ultramarines have access to some unique equipment that other armies don't have: The Master of Signal - This model allows you to reroll failed Reserve rolls for units arriving from deep strike or outflanking (aka moving across the board). It also gives any unit within 6" +1 LD! This guy is a must if you're going with an Ultramarines army because he can help ensure that your units arrive where they need to go when it matters most--on their enemies' doorstep! The Honour Guard - These guys come equipped with power swords and storm bolters but also have 2 wounds each and Feel No Pain 5+. This means they're pretty tough compared with other characters in 40k games; however, they do cost around 200 points per model so make sure not only that this unit survives but also performs well enough on its own merits before adding more expensive models such as Terminators into your list! 9) Agents of the Imperium Model contents: - 1x Assassino Eversor - 10x Elucidian Starstriders - 20x Imperial Navy Breachers with 2x CAT Units and 2x Gheistskulls If you are a fan of the Warhammer 40K universe and are interested in playing with these secretive operatives, buying miniatures for the Agents of the Imperium can be a lot of fun. These operatives are known for their unique abilities and playstyles, and can add a lot of variety to your army. For example, the Inquisitors are powerful psykers with access to a range of psychic powers, while the Assassins are deadly melee combatants with a range of special abilities. Additionally, painting and customizing the miniatures can be a fun and rewarding experience. Warhammer 40K miniatures are highly detailed, and many hobbyists enjoy spending time painting and customizing them to make them unique. This can be a great way to showcase your creativity and artistic talent. 8) Tau Empire Model contents: - 1x Commander Farsight - 3x XV8 Crisis Battlesuits, which can alternatively be built as Crisis Bodyguards - 10x Fire Warriors, which can be built as either a Strike Team or a Breacher Team, plus 1x Support Turret - 8x Tactical Drones The Tau Empire Boarding Party Box's focus on mobile and heavily armored infantry makes it an excellent choice for players looking to take on the Boarding Action missions detailed in the Arks of Omen series. The box includes a new plastic model of the legendary Commander Farsight, who is a popular character in the T'au Empire lore. 7) Grey Knights Model contents: – 1x Castellan Crowe – 5x Grey Knights Terminators, which can alternatively be built as Paladins – 10x Grey Knights, which can be alternatively be built as Interceptors, Purifiers, or Purgators Overall, the Grey Knights boarding patrol box is a great way to start collecting this iconic Warhammer 40k army. It includes a good mix of models and gives you everything you need to start playing, including rules, background information, and reference materials. Whether you're a new player or a seasoned veteran, this set is a great value and a great addition to any Warhammer 40k collection. 6) Leagues of Votann Model contents: - 1x Einhyr Champion - 5x Cthonian Beserks - 5x Einhyr Hearthguard - 10x Hearthkyn Warriors
Clad in bulky exo-armour with a rune-etched RAM shield and Autoch-pattern combi-bolter, the Einhyr Champion leads the charge with impunity. Alongside him are five elite Einhyr Hearthguard, plus a squad of Cthonian Beserks, brandishing powerful mining tools that double as weapons of war, and ten Hearthkyn Warriors armed with a variety of powerful hulk-scouring wargear. 5) Aeldari Model contents: – 1x Jain Zar  – 5x Howling Banshees, with 1x Banshee shrine icon marker – 20x Corsair Voidscarred, which can alternatively be built as Corsair Voidreavers The models in this box are compatible with other Aeldari armies, including the Harlequins. This allows players to expand their army with ease and adds further versatility and strategy to gameplay. The Aeldari can be played in a variety of ways, including as a fast and mobile army, a psychic-focused army, or a balanced army with a mix of units. This allows players to tailor their army to their preferred playstyle and strategy. The Aeldari Boarding Party box makes a great gift for Warhammer 40k players, whether they are new to the game or experienced veterans. It offers a flexible and competitive force of Aeldari warriors, unique units, great value for money, and a fun and challenging gameplay experience. 4) Chaos Space Marines Model contents: – 1x Abaddon the Despoiler – 10x Chaos Space Marine Legionaries – 20x Chaos Cultists, armed with brutal assault weapons and autopistols The Chaos Space Marines have unique rules that set them apart from other armies in the game. They have access to powerful psychic abilities and special weapons, as well as the ability to summon daemons onto the battlefield. One of their key features is their unique faction abilities that allow them to manipulate the battlefield in various ways. These abilities include the ability to corrupt objectives and summon daemons to the battlefield. Such an awesome box sells out quickly, making it highly collectible. It is a great addition to any collection and a must-have for fans of the Chaos Space Marines. 3) Adeptus Mechanicus Model contents: - 1x Tech-Priest Dominus - 3x Kataphron Destroyers, which can alternatively be built as Kataphron Breachers - 5x Sicarian Infiltrators, which can alternatively be built as Sicarian Ruststalkers - 10x Skitarii Vanguard, which can alternatively be built as Skitarii Rangers The Skitarii are elite troops of the Adeptus Mechanicus, and the Boarding Party box includes 10 of them. These troops can be built as Rangers or Vanguard, which means players can customize their army based on their preferred playstyle. The Boarding Party box also includes three Kataphrons, which can be built as Destroyers or Breachers. These machines are heavily armed and armored, making them formidable opponents on the battlefield. The Adeptus Mechanicus army is known for being both fun and challenging to play.
