did I ever settle on a design for phantom thief! Siffrin? no. anyway,

NOT fully mirroring the P5 plot!! it's a bit different! a few were hit with the obligatory anime teenager beam

Siffrin gets arrested for allegedly attacking someone with a knife! this did not happen. while trying to help someone, he in fact got knifed in the face and lost an eye.

the adoption system is about to drop their ass since they're nearly an adult and no one's too happy about the aggravated assault. fate drops him at Nille's doorstep, who takes pity on him but insists she's only housing his ass for some extra cash. Bonnie acquires another felon a sibling!

showing up to school looking like shit (anxiety, no sleep), with an eyepatch and a natural silent intensity, no one really questions if he's stabbed someone. everyone's pretty sure he's killed someone actually.

Mira and Isa are charged with helping the new local mass murderer get settled, and they slowly start to uncover the real Siffrin hiding under all that apprehension. Odile, the school nurse, is all kinds of queer so she's got these kids' backs. as the story progresses, they each have their own character arc around biting back on authority (Isa gets the courage to transition, and Mira stops straightening her hair)

what about everyone else's outfits? that's the fun part! SIFFRIN IS DOING ALL THIS PHANTOM THIEF SHIT ALONE

well not totally alone. they've got a weird cat now. they can talk (Siffrin wishes they didn't) and has a concerning amount of knowledge about the metaverse for being an amnesiac! (this worries them too, they just try not to show it)

the OTHER fun part is that Siffrin is doing half this phantom thief stuff in the metaverse, half in the real world. good news is, he has the magic metaverse stuff irl! bad news is he has the magic metaverse stuff irl. yeah it helps keep him from getting caught, but law enforcement starts rising quickly to military arms when you start breaking physics while also being a theater kid about it.

the meat of the plot is surrounding Siffrin's struggle to fit two lives into one, and how his friends are WAY too perceptive to keep this up forever. but they have to, because they've only barely convinced their friends to accept them. if they knew he was some evil freaky magic terrorist (he's not, but like, who would believe him when he's doing seemingly evil freaky magic terrorist things!), they'd turn him in, they'd be scared, they'd HATE him!!

btw there is no rival for Siffrin. he's his own rival. lets give the "I'm terrified I'm manipulating my friends" twink actual mind alteration powers and see what happens :))

hello there! currently having strong brain rot for none other than critical role since i recently caught up with the third campaign…

a little about me: i am 25+, she/her! my happy spot is writing somewhere between 300-700+ words and i’m happy to go even longer, but i don’t mind keeping it short either. no one-liners. i like to have a good chunk of introspection going at all times, so i’d consider myself adv. lit. and i hope to find partners who are the same. activity wise, i hope to find something low maintenance, i’m very chill with taking a while between replies, as long as we keep ooc communication open. i currently have a lot of time in my hands so i can do rapidfire some days, but it’s never a requirement for my partner!

@sabokittysweet and I have been working together on two splatoon OCs. Originally it was for a mascot contest for a Discord server, but we love these two so much that win or lose, we’ll likely be drawing more of them. Their names are Amy and Tre’. It’s a play on the word Amateur, which goes with the theme of the contest. The theme for the mascots is that they have to be wearing the Newbie default Gear and use the Default weapon. The Discord Server is made for anyone be they competitive or Casual players to work together and help each other out in finding teams, strategy, etc.  Going with that theme, Amy is an eager and headstrong Inkling girl of 25 and Tre’ is an anxious and shy Octoling boy of 27. Backstories and all that below (note I’m not a writer and this will come off as rambling most likely): Amy is getting in to the Turf wars late due to having to help watch her Younger sister while her parents were working to support them. After her sister is old enough to find work, Amy gets a chance to experience Turf war like all the other Inklings she saw when she was younger. After a few games Amy discovers on top of being an absolute blast and joy to play, the money earned at the end of each match really help out her family (As well as to save up for some of that Fresh gear all the squids and the kids are wearing.) As for Tre’, He was a soldier in the Octorian army before stumbling across Squid sister’s Calamari Inkantation and defecting sometime after the events that took place with Agent 8 and the Sanitized Octorians. He escaped on his own to Inkopolis. Being full well aware of what role he played as a soldier for the octorians, he found it best to try and avoid any inklings or any of the inhabitants of Inkopolis should they recognize what he is. First Meeting: While snooping around looking for a place to eat, Amy (on her way back home from a Turf war match) spots Tre’ and his “Fresh outfit” (Uniform that Octoling soldiers would wear under an old torn rain poncho meant to hide his octoling garb) and startles him. As Tre’ Yelps, Amy notices something about him. “Hey your teeth look like mine,” she happily exclaimed pointing to her missing fang. After Chatting him up and asking about him, Where he’s from, if he was heading somewhere, and all that, Tre’ carefully just said he wasn’t from around and recently found his way around and was just looking for a meal and didn’t have a place to stay yet. Amy invited him over for Dinner with her family and insisted to help him get settled. Noticing that other inklings were glancing over (due to his started scream), Tre’ accepts the invitation and hurries Amy along. On the way to her home, Amy tells Tre’ all about what she knows about Truf war and how it’s gone from a great conflict to a sport and a popular one at that. Asking if he’s had any experience with a splatshooter, Tre’ accidently let slip that he did have experience with various weapons and tactics used, just catching himself before letting slip he was Soldier. Hearing this Amy urges (and after some sad puppy eyes) convinces Tre’ to sign up and join her in this sport. Soldiering is just about all he’s known and had the opportunity to do decently well all his life. Perhaps this would be a good away as any to adjust to his new life in Inkopolis, having a new friend who knows the area well is never a bad thing, Amy seems trustworthy enough. Dynamic/Relationship: +Tre’ is passive, shy, timid, Capable, Adaptable, and Anxious. +Amy is Headstrong, Fiery, Curious, Clever, and Eager. +Among the Newbies, Amy (25) and Tre’(27) are on the older side.  +Amy is the first and (so far) Only friend he’s had since leaving the Octorian army behind him.  +Tre’ appreciates Amy’s and her family’s help and feels in their debt. +Tre’ is protective of Amy and her safety, but most of the time She’s the one who’s standing up for him and jumping in (in Tre’s opinion Recklessly) to help him and back him up. +Tre’ Uses his past experience as a Soldier to help Amy improve her game, handling of weapons, and strategy. +Amy helps Tre be a little more sociable and adapt to life in Inkopolis. Welp, I litreally spent all day brainstorming and writing all this out.... I guess I’m somewhat invested in these characters. ~Roleplaying Preferences~

•General/Writing Style•

I consider myself advanced literate to novella, so I usually range from around 4 paragraphs to 10 and up, typically more than one max character message on discord. Generally still quality over quantity for the most part but do your best to match my length. Not fun to send 10 paragraphs and get back 4 unless the scene really calls for it. I would prefer you write in 3rd person, past tense. Please have decent grammar and spelling, varied vocabulary and sentence structure, as well as decent syntax. Please provide me something of substance to respond to in your responses. Please also be somewhat experienced.

21+ only, but 25+ preferred (I'm 28)

•Timezone•

EST. I don’t mind what timezone you’re in- waking up to new responses is exciting :)

•Platforms•

I solely roleplay on Discord these days. Just like the set-up of dedicating a server to a given roleplay and it’s easiest for me to respond there if I get the chance on the go.

•Response Frequency•

I'd prefer if you could respond at least once a week. I have a very busy job with an erratic/inconsistent schedule and can't always commit to much more than that, so I won't ask that of you. Please try to communicate when you will be gone or significantly less active for several weeks or more. I will try to do the same.

Please don’t contact me if you will be gone for over a week very early into the role-play. I tend to lose interest very fast if there’s long breaks at the very beginning. Get me invested and I can wait for you for quite a long time, though.

I'm a bit less lenient with this when we're still doing introductions, so if we've barely said hello but a few days pass and I hear nothing, I'll assume you're no longer interested or never were in the first place and close our discussion. You are free to assume the same of me.

•Genre•

I'm a sucker for modern, romantic slice-of-life with a healthy dose of character-driven drama and angst. Sometimes I like to weave other genres in there too such as Supernatural, Mystery, Action, and Adventure. I'm really open to most things if the plot interests me.

•Gender and Romantic Preference•

I strongly prefer playing a female main. Still, I am open to MxF, FxF, and MxM with preference in that order. My apologies, but please note I do not play male in MxF even with doubling up.

I do not engage in dichotomy personality dynamics in my pairings(dom-sub, top-bottom, ABO, etc.) and like pairings to be close to even as possible in contributions to the relationship both physical, emotional, social etc. I don’t want to be a caretaker- I get enough of that at work. I’m a sucker for characters taking care of each other though. If a scene gets intimate, I'd prefer we fade to black unless we have been writing together for quite some time and the characters progress naturally to that point through a rich slow burn. If you are looking for detailed smut from the get go we probably are not a good fit.

Please note the idea for this world is not mine, but I unfortunately don’t remember the title of the original story. If this sounds familiar to you, feel free to comment the details and I’ll credit the story! Anyhow, in a smaller country, tucked away from the rest of the world, people are born into a unique system. They are either Energy Givers or Energy Takers. Their ability activates from a young age and they are paired with the most compatible one of the opposite ability as soon as possible, usually early elementary school. Energy is transferred from the giver to the taker via a kiss on the lips and must be done at least once a day. While partners are not necessarily romantically involved, the two depend on each other immensely. Without receiving energy, the taker will quickly tire, weaken and collapse becoming comatose and at risk of death. If they do not give energy, the giver’s energy supply builds up making them suffer from nausea, lethargy, fevers, and other unpleasant symptoms that will gradually worsen to the point where their life is in danger. Should a pair of partners be separated either through death or other means, the lone individual must visit a donation center where they will be paired with a donor that somewhat matches until a more compatible, new permanent partner is finally found.

Now for a possible plot: Muse A and Muse B are a Giver-Taker pair that has been together since childhood. Their feelings grew from platonic to romantic and by high school, the two were a golden, seemingly unbreakable couple. Near the end their last year, all comes to a grinding halt when Muse B suddenly breaks up with Muse A and disappears. Five years down the line, Muse A is a jaded, lonely individual, known for constantly going from donor to donor. Deciding they need a change, they take a teaching job in a boarding school on the other side of the country. Yet when they walk into the faculty office on their first day, they find themselves placed in a desk right next to Muse A. Not only this, the two are in the same department. How will things proceed? 

I would play a female Muse B for this.

Please do not control my main OC or any named side characters I introduce. It can really mess with my plans with them if you suddenly auto-kill out of nowhere or something... If necessary, I may permit you to control a side character of mine, but please run it by me first. Communication is key.

While I will get to the small backlog of writing prompts I have yet to get to eventually, I’m feeling up to telling a different story involving the Followers. Today, you’re getting the origin story.

Not the characters, oh no, this is the story of how this shit show came together into something coherent. Buckle up, this is gonna be a long one.

As some of you may know, the Followers are each loosely based around and upon eight members of patrons on the Internet Remix Patreon server. I happen to only truly ‘own’ Witch; every other character involved belongs to the person that originally came up with them. If you didn’t happen to know this, here’s a quick rundown of everyone involved:

Now, this was right around when Internet Remix was announcing Camp Streamix and all of us on the Patreon server were choosing teams. A couple of us immediately rallied around Kristen and Team Murder, each for our own reasons (Onyx in solidarity for also living in the void state, Missfoxx given her longstanding friendship with Kristen, me for the storytelling and a long running joke that I was Kristen’s witch, Arahul for the intrigue, and Archer for the horror elements). 

Not long after this, we all got to joking that as the patrons, we were like Kristen’s followers in a way. I was the first one to really create a ‘persona’ as a follower of team murder, someone who vaguely resembled me and was dressed in red (a precursor to Witch’s final design). Given that I was already ‘the witch’ in another long since dead RP thing with some of my friends, I began to take the title of The Witch as a joke. Not long after, those of already committed to Team Murder all began discussing what we would each be if we had to put a role to what each of us were. 

Missfoxx was the older priest of the group, given that she had the longest relationship with Kristen.

Onyx was the right hand, given the two of them were both ‘void denizens’ and he already had jokingly begin to call Kristen ‘captain’ once he declared Team Murder.

Arahul was more of an advising figure, given that most of us consider him especially wise for his age.

Archer, perhaps a bit more on the nose, would obviously be a hunter of sorts given her name, the executioner as you will.

Along the way, we began joking that we needed a younger priest to complement the older, and jokingly said that we could just ‘steal’ Myst away if we really needed to. 

And slowly, we began constructing characters. 

After a little of this brainstorming and realizing that I happened to be really good at putting together something out of sparse details, I made the decision to go everyone and ask “Hey, I have this idea for a story, mind if I piece some things together and try and make this more coherent?” 

One by one, they each said yes, giving me little details on clothing and background, but ultimately leaving a lot of the larger stuff to me. So I took the threads all my friends gave me, thought about what I could do with it, and began to weave.

The Followers were born out of that weaving, a set of demi-gods and ‘angels by any other name’ who loyally serve the Murder God.

As I was writing, I realized with my own character, the Witch, matched perfectly to the witch role within the DMP game, and so that thread was woven into the story thread. 

Lieutenant and Old Priestess became more than their titles; they were now the two werewolves, partners in crime, and influential beyond belief. 

Advisor became the seer, able to peek into people’s minds and into the future. 

Huntress became the gunslinger, searching for justice and agency. 

Young Priest became the gardener, a speck of flavor text and light in a dark world. 

I was never expecting this little fan project to become as popular as it did, but it absolutely exploded among the people who were involved and among others in the Patreon server. People encouraged me to write more, and once I realized just how far this silly little project had reached, I decided to start plan out a small sequel project that would bring in some elements I had hinted in the original introductory work.

During this continual worldbuilding, things slowly began expanding out of that small, initial circle. Not long after, we brought Carl into the mix, as she was jokingly called the ‘bookkeeper’ given that she always fills up the out of context quotes chat and had introduced her own sort of ‘follower’ character not connected to the work I had done. Thus the Bookkeeper was born, representing the minion role and the group’s scribe

Kyle’s character followed soon after, though his was on a technicality. Because he wasn’t officially really any team with his penchant of donating to whichever team he felt like, we said that any character of his would just be there part time. Thus the Part Timer was born, representing the Doctor role and the group’s technology expert and partial spy.

With that, we had eight followers, which was all I could both reasonably write, and perhaps symbolically, represented the eight legs of a spider (given the large theme of webbing and the like). I promised to include these two new characters into the sequel series and give them their own time to shine, along with learning more about the current cast. 

With all these characters finally listed out, there was only one last thing to do. Give them their proper titles and honorifics fitting of the original five and the three that wandered in.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be where it is today without all the people who read it and told me ‘I want to see more of this’.

So, believe me when I give my sincere thanks to you all for helping me to get this far.

And as for when the next update is coming? I can’t promise anything precise.
