Here’s my ranking of presidents with the same name (not based on effectiveness, just my silly brain and how I feel about them)

Don’t take this too seriously, I’m just having fun.

Thomas

1. Thomas Jefferson

2. T. Woodrow Wilson, yes his birth name was Thomas.

Reasoning: Wilson is one of those guys I only studied of hatred, similarly to how someone might watch Goat Story. Jefferson and Wilson are quite similar however at the very least Jefferson lived in a time where does opinions were not only the norm but also seen as more progressive. Not excusing TJ, he was an awful person, but I prefer him over Wilson and also TJ comes from a time period I prefer studying ^^

John

4. John Tyler

Reasoning: JQA is my favourite president and John Adams is my favourite founding father! I’m not sure why, I just love them. I actually don’t care much for JFK, I do think he was a better president than both Adams’, apparently he also liked JQA which makes him cool. Similarly to Wilson, Tyler is a president I only studied out of the disaster he was. I actually like him, I think? I mean if I could play him in a theatre I would, his personality was so arrogant with his shit opinions he would be fine to play. But he was still shit. Not one of the worse presidents, just one of the more dislikable ones. Like Hoover was worse as president but I have a higher opinion of him due to his ideas and philosophy compared to Tyler.

Reasoning: “Polk is the most underrated president” ive heard this sentence a lot. I disagree. Sure, outside of history circles people don’t know of him, but I had a friend who thought Napoleon knew Julius Caesar so you can’t really expect too much. James Garfield is the most underrated in my opinion, he was really passionate about his opinions and was killed by the silliest assassin ever. Madison is from a time period I prefer studying (even though antebellum is my favourite and thats where Polk is from but shh), Jimmy is just sweet, Monroe had JQA as secretary of state and James Buchanan was gay. Polk literally looks like a bird about to flax away to invade Mexico, not a big fan if you invade stuff. Also he loved Jackson! So fuck him.

I honestly have no idea how to order them, I hate both equally. I suppose Jackson had a slightly more positive impact on history than Johnson? By that I mean Johnson didn’t do much besides moping. I think it’s good he [Jackson] defended his wife from slut shamers. I admire that both came from troubling backgrounds. Actually, I believe Johnson wasn’t tied to any specific church if I don’t remember it wrong, and I like that. I don’t know, they’re both tied in awfulness.

Reasoning: I like judicial history a lot and because of that Taft comes first, I congratulate Harrison for being the first Whig to win and then shortly dying giving us the absolute disaster that is Tyler. I don’t care for Clinton, but I have a higher opinion on him than Mckinley. I agree with Czolgosz, Mckinley was terrible and imperialist. I also don’t like how much Mckinley relied on religion for his decisions, I never like that. I only excuse Garfield for being very religious because he was cool and didn’t invade other countries. The only good thing about Mckinley is that it lead to Roosevelt which lead to Taft, and I like Taft for no particular reason, I just to.

Reasoning: I just like the antebellum period more and honestly, unlike Polk and Tyler, I don’t feel the funny hatred towards Pierce that you’d get from a film like Goat Story. Also I ship with Nathaniel Thorne and Herman Melville :3

Roosevelt is cool, they’re actually quite tied. I like Fala, I like how he was disabled because I love disabled rep, I love that zesty picture of him drinking alcohol, I don’t love Japanese internment camps however.

Please tell me if I’ve forgotten any! And also remember it’s okay to disagree with me, once again these are my nonsensical opinions that are more than biased. It’s not about how well of a job they did, then this ranking would be very different, just how much I enjoy them almost as characters. In other words: RPF
