This takes place about 5-ish years after their initial battle so he's just well enough to walk on his own. Narinder sustained pretty severe injuries that took years to even begin mending and in that time they both discovered that he really enjoys being fully in water. Warm baths are a favourite activity of his and, in summer, swimming! It used to be only at the large lake near the cult bc thats how far Lambert was willing to risk taking him.

Swimming is good for him bc it's an activity he can do a lot of (relatively) without his whole body hurting and a way to build some muscle back. He only goes at night so he doesn't get ill from the intense summer heat.

Also his hut has many shells decorating it and Mere (incoming bat cult oc that became his friend on accident) has received some as well! He's still looking for a Pretty Shell tm for lamb, but they are just happy that he has a friend.

Rewatching season one and it's really striking me how much.. blood is in a hospital? Like they say it was Mitchell's idea to work there bc of the lack of sunlight but as someone both Weird About Blood and working in a hospital it's maybe one of the worst jobs for someone trying to be off blood? Even if his position isn't required to clean it directly (though if he says he's required to clean other bodily fluids he almost certainly would be. Its typically all or nothing) he struggles eith even the slightest amount of contact. Imagine you're going clean for the 3rd time that month and you walk into a patients room to mop and they've just pulled out their iv and are bleeding everywhere. Congratulations! You are no longer clean. Like either he's doing some exposure therapy or the writers forgot what hospitals are like

You know honestly, you really have to appreciate all that goes into a Cookie Run design

They need to pick a food/ingredient to base the character off of, and then they have to find some association with either the food itself or something similar to it that they can draw parallels with, or inversely they need to find a food that matches the theme they’re going with. Then they have to find ways to incorporate the food into the actual design itself, as well as find some theme or culture to base their designs off of

Like for a random example, S’more Cookie and Cannoli Cookie. The theme of their update was camping, and s’mores are a typical camping food, and cannoli, while I don’t think it has an association with camping, looks a bit like a sleeping bag, which are essential camping gear

Or the Upper City Creme Republic Cookies, who generally all seem to be flavors with either fancy sounding European names, or something associated with a European country, like clotted cream or custard with England (I think), which ties into how, let’s face it, that Upper City colonized this region, and Europe (but mostly Western Europe) having a pretty notable history of colonization. And even the native Council members, Captain Caviar and Oyster, fit in with the upper class feel, with caviar being seen as a fancy food, and oysters, while I’m not sure the food connotations, are associated with pearls, a fancy gem

Or how Burning Spice and his forces are based on various spices, and they have an Indian inspiration due to India being pretty well known for their spices. Or Peach and Peach Blossom having Chinese inspiration due to the significance of peaches in Chinese mythology, as well as Peach taking inspiration from Sun Wukong, a prominent Chinese figure and someone who ate a bunch of peaches of immortality

And sometimes the ingredient doesn’t tie into the cultural/aesthetic inspiration for the character, like how European cheese seems to only have loose connection to Egypt, but they’ll still take care to make the inspirations clear, they’re not just generic, at least nowadays. I think, I might have been a bit unclear here

The characters may not all be a 100% unity between flavor and cultural inspiration, like Clotted Cream pretty much looks like a normal guy outside of his hair looking a little bit like cream, but it does work a lot of the time, and there’s still at least all that care going into the designs themselves

Like this is one of the few children's media I know that has canonical mpreg (that's somehow done in a way that's also treated with just as much seriousness as it's treated comedically) and... no one cares? I mean, maybe that wasn't shocking to the fandom at the time and of course a ton of other shit has happened that's gone beyond that (like the cannibalism maybe), but seriously. Surely that should attract people to this show, right?

I mean, tragic old man yaoi became so popular in 2024, I saw everyone talking about it all throughout the year on Tumblr. And no one looked into exploring viravos more through that? Like, what? The way the ship so perfectly aligned with people's ideals for that trope and even hit points that I felt like some people said the most popular ships of that trope weren't able to fit... And if anything it seems like viravos has died down since mid 2024 (around when season 6 came out and when this trope seemed to be peaking in popularity because of the other media coming out at the time that used it) within the show's own fanbase. And it used to be the second most popular ship at that too.

And again, it's one thing for none of these characters or ships to be the main appeal for the fanbase itself... But somehow none of these things draw other people in? That's the crazy part to me. That's what's mind boggling.

So I'm not sure I fully understand the question, but I did make a whole species sheet here:

The point of this is to illustrate the differences, both based on skeletal anatomy, and ones I added in soft tissue for fun!

As far as depicting extinct species in a way that makes them distinct; I find restricting certain traits to only one species or the other helps. e.g: Ice Fangs will never have ear-tufts and Fleet Fangs always have them, Ice Fangs will always have exposed sabers and Fleet Fangs always have lip-pockets covering theirs (they have to be actively grimacing to show the whole fang).

Also look at the varied soft tissue of real life animals.

Fleet Fangs have lynx like ear tufts because they share a similar environment and are both long-limbed ice-cats. They also have a paler under-tail like deer, which I imagine is used for social signalling (Homotherium is hypothesised to be social irl too!)

I decided to give the Ice Fangs more bear like lips, which is loosely based on a (debunked) idea of them having huge jowls that enveloped the whole length of their sabers. This would make actually using the sabers too hard for me to think it's plausible, but a more mobile lip that can be moved out of the way when they go from full gape to rest is a fun concept :D

I also try not to draw any sabercats with pantherine noses. Pantherine rhinarium are quite distinct in their reduction of lower lobe (which I'm sure has a proper name but I Cannot find it and keep getting photos of nose jobs, so I'm giving up). This makes the whole nose into a defined T-shape, but there's no reason for any sabercat lineage to have that specific autapomorphy. So the Fleet Fangs get Jaguarundi/lynx inspired heart-shaped ones, and Ice Fangs have very wide noses like a stretched domestic cat c'x

Not only that, he’s also the great detective of the capital of your literal country, the crazy adventurer feared by pirates, the tycoon who was generous but mysterious and reserved, and a wandering magician granting wishes. Also, he’s a GOD. GOD. OF. A. LITERAL. CHURCH. Then you find out that HE’S NOT EVEN YOUR BROTHER. The brother you grew up with is long dead. It’s a stranger who has been and assimilated into his body and mind since the day your brother died. Oh yeah, that friend he said was the reason he’s a good cook? That friend has been dead even before your “brother”. And you swore you knew him well. He was a history student trying to get a good job for the future. What in the Evernight Goddess’ divine kingdom happened? Oh, yeah, speaking of Evernight, your “brother” is “Her” blessed. By the way, he still hasn’t gone to the theatre with you like he promised.

I don’t know how Melissa managed to find out The Fool = Klein (maybe some angel told her in a dream or Klein directly told her idk) but I can’t even comprehend how she managed to process that information. Like imagine waking up one day and finding out a close relative of yours presumed dead is now a deity. It’s definitely not an average Tuesday afternoon thing.
