It feels huge, even when it’s small.

Some memories come back to him when he least expects them to, like now, but then some he can’t catch no matter how hard he tries. Or how much he wants. Eddie unfortunately falls into that category, or at least the Eddie he fell in love with and who showed him that having an alpha could be a good thing.

stsapphicbigbang:

”...tell her,” she hears the end of the conversation once she shuts off the water and stands there, dripping but not shivering, staring sightlessly at the floor.

”I know,” Robin answers to Steve.

Chrissy should dry herself and put clothes on. She shouldn’t listen in.

mer!steve2:

“Honestly? I don’t care. Just...do what you think would feel good.”

“Right.”

Eddie still hesitates for a moment, stares where Steve is vulnerable and new and feeling exposed, despite what they’d done last time.

steddiengstyaugust:

”I’m saying what you want to hear, baby, you know that.”

He closed his eyes for a moment against the tears, and so he wouldn’t turn to look to his left where there would be nothing...or where his mind would conjure what he wanted to see.

Steve looked at the sunset again, knowing he’d have to do it before he lost his drive.

Snippet from steddiebang2024:

There’s a knock on the bathroom door, one he’d been waiting for, on some level.

”Honey, are you okay in there?”

The small space is filling with the sour milk scent of his distress enough that he’s drowning in it a little and Eddie could apparently smell his unhappiness from a mile off, like a shark or something, but a gentle caring cuddly shark.

He’s so fucking lucky.

Where am I?

Steve struggles up, driven by a sudden sense of urgency, to get up, to be moving, to help. He gasps and scrunches his eyes shut as pain lances through his skull at the movement, at the too-bright lights.

‘Hey, whoa, easy, let the IV be where it is, yea?’

There are hands on him, halting his movements, his body feels wrong, somehow, too heavy, misaligned. There’s a pain shooting along his right arm, making him gasp. Something tugs in his left hand, stings.

Wrote three sentences and then some for this and wrote and am sharing some steddieweek2024 (I should have had a second femslash fic on the list, sorry!)

To Steve’s delight, Eddie clings as much as he does, likes to touch and cuddle. He loves his hands, all the little ways he keeps contact between them in public that look innocent to outsiders, that are safe.

He aches for the day they can walk in public hlding hands or hugging each other close when it’s just the two of them, now they can only do that in a bigger crowd, when it can be passed off as just a thing between friends.

Three sentences have bene written for the saphicbang, sharing from my hollwheel/bancy wip.

Her hand ws cold and slimy when it wrapped around Nancy’s wrist.

Would I picture this?

She felt she was suddenly underwater even when she wasn’t, they were still standing on the patio behind Steve’s house, where she had been rooted after Barb had emerged from the pool. The surface of the water lay unbroken now, eerily so.

A compulsion to jump in was sudden and unexpected and left her gasping, she had no idea where it had come from.

“I don’t! Why do you think that?” Heather quickly denies it.

“I saw how you were looking at the jocks' table those last few days, and there’s only one reason I can see for the change in your attitude toward Chrissy: you’re fucking jealous. She decided that she didn’t want to help you hang out with her brother and you got mad at her and now you’re searching for a way to see him more!”

“He’s nice.” Sarah intervenes, “And he’s stronger than he looks. I would be curious to see him perform.”

“I… I’m not!” Heather replies, offended, “I’m not jealous and I have no whatsoever interest in Jason.”

Steddie BB:

“And how are you holding up?” Wayne asks him with a serious glance.

For a moment Eddie wonders if he should just tell him the truth and ask him for help but admitting to his uncle, who somehow managed to find himself a nice life, that he let his father sell him just to have some economic stability, it’s too much.

“I don’t know if I can do it, Wayne. He doesn’t know who I am, he doesn’t know that we are married, there are big chunks of his own life missing. Chunks I don’t know anything about because everything was so quick and…”

She couldn’t argue with Barb even had she wanted to, which she didn’t.

”Yes, it is and I can’t ask you to forgive me. I shouldn’t have left you like that and gone… with Steve.”

Barbs face twisted as she sneered, her eyes darkening, her mouth too sharp. ”No, you shouldn’t have.”

It was Barb’s voice, but mean and ugly, unlike Nancy had ever heard it and she deserved those words. Every bit of scorn Barb might want to heap on her, all her hate was hers. At the same time hearing her after so long, seeing her, was a gift as much as it was a punishment.
