Roleshuffle, Part 39! If you're wondering why this arc took so long to create....blame this part. Battle scenes really stretch you to your limit just because of how active they have to be. It's hard to convey that with non-moving images, but I think I did pretty good! There's always room for improvement, of course, but I'm still happy with what I did :)

Time to have C!Techno headcannons!!!

Heyo, seems like finally I reached my 2nd favorite cc ever! I think techno's character is REALLY interesting, with great writing and details and I can definitely add some hc of my own in there, so without further ado, let's go!

(btw @syndicatedsystem you might like some of my headcannons involving Jschlatt and Techno I talk about here so yeah! Also feel free to discuss em' with me or make asks abt it, hell your blog inspires me a lot)

• Techno has some braids in his hair, the longer, the more he values the person

Longest: Philza, it's braided with gold details

2nd longest: Ranboo, has a amethyst crystal for purple

Mid-term: Wilbur, he braided it in consideration of a battle friend and some good times with Will, he doesn't hate or likes Wilbur, but still can't deny they do have a connection

Shortest: Tommy.

• Techno prepared a space in the cabin for Tommy in case some day, his demons and the hell he was looking for, finally was found, he'd welcome Tommy with open arms, since he'd view that the kid suffered enough and had the time to change and face any consequences he'd need to face, the space is safe, always available, but, he'd never tell Tommy that, he keeps it hidden, he's not ready to be vulnerable to the demon child again and openly say Tommy could count on him, not until Tommy makes the first step.

• Keeps the pickaxe that blinded Quackity as a trophy, this and keeps all weapons from powerful enemies with him as a reminder of a great battle he won once again

• Likes to write poetry about people and events, he'd never give them to the person, but keep it in a dusty small box in his room in the attic of the cabin

• OKAY, LET'S ALL AGREE TECHNO IS ARO/ACE? GOOD.

• Techno was friends with Jschlatt before everything went to hell, they liked to talk about random bs while watching the fire crack at night and drink some cheap booze for Jschlatt and coffee for Techno

• I view Techno also having some boar traits, so yeah territorial as FUCK don't mess with his stuff or house, also he chases pray like crazy and can eat almost anything without a problem due to that

• Doesn't CARE for alcohol, just doesn't like the idea of having a hangover afterwards since he'd be unable to fight the next day

• Would gossip with Jschlatt, Tommy and the syndicate like, ABOUT EVERYTHING, I imagine him and Jschlatt favorite hobby is shit talking people they hate

• Techno being aro/ace also means if you flirt with him, he'll just stare at your soul and bully the shit out of you, sometimes calls Phil and/or Jschlatt to roast the shit out of the person, also WILL defend himself from any creeps and defend his friends from ANY strange people since for him touch is STRICTLY a death sentence and something that takes time

• Techno smokes when stressed or in the syndicate room, making Phil always carry an extra lighter for him just in case, the 2 used to be smoking buddies before Phil quit when he adopted Chayanne and Tallulah

• Techno in the QSMP is an entity, a god watching above everyone but never leaving Phil side and the eggs side, sometimes he'd talk to Tallulah directly, or influence Phil like a voice in his head to do the right thing in his vision or appear to Chayanne in his dreams to have a chat

• Can and will drink blood from the enemies

• Loves to talk about skulls and anatomy of the body in general, a dark fact, due to respect to Jschlatt, after he died (not considering revival, I view revival as either the decomposed body coming back to life in a LESS but STILL fucked up state or a kind of new body that is the users body in the afterlife coming to the alive realm, if you guys want, I can make a post about this) picked and kept Jschlatt sheep skull, with horns and everything

• Would talk about historical wars and battles with his own analysis and commentaries on it, making a great history teacher

• totally collects greek mythology stuff, books, items, anything.

• Has a couple of tattoos but one that is pretty badass is a wither skull with red smoke on his ribs in the right, a tattoo of a emerald in the inside of his left wrist, a tattoo of a squid with a fork on it's head in reference to the potato war on his right wrist really tiny and "everything starts with blood" and "the voices demand blood" written in his tights

• My boy 100% has piercings due to piglin culture, around 75% of them being made of gold

had a vision earlier of ctechno sitting on the porch of his house in the arctic with a loaded crossbow alert and ready and tommy comes up and techno aims it at him on instinct and tommy is like I JUST CAME TO WISH YOU A HAPPY EASTER YOU FUCKING FREAK I THOUGHT WE COULD SPLIT A CHOCOLATE EGG AND FIGHT ABOUT RELIGION WHAT'S WITH THE CROSSBOW DICKHEAD and techno lowers the cross bow and is like Oh tommy what's up. Myyyy bad i thought you were the easter bunny. and tommy's like YOU THOUGHT. YOU THOUGHT WHAT? and techno's like Yeahhh that guy comes and leaves eggs everywhere and wrecks my framerates. Every single year. But I'm ready for him this time. and tommy's gobstopped and goes TECHNOBLADE. TECHNOBLADE HINESTLY ANSWER ME HERE. DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE EASTER BUNNY? and techno's like I believe what i see and what i see are EGGS and DROPPED FRAMERATES, Tommy. and tommy's like OKAY EVEN IF THE EASTER BUNNY WAS REAL WHICH IS FUCKING ABSURD BY THE WAY ARE YOU HONESTLY GONNA SHOOT HIM MAN? COULDNT YOU JUST PICK UP THE EGGS LIKE A MAN? and techno's like Nah tommy that's how they GET YOU man. He's gonna go to your house and lag out your world and now it's YOUR problem? Not to mention, absent father of the year over there. and tommy's like I JUST DONT THINK HE'S REAL, TECHNOBLADE. and techno goes Yeah that's what phil said about santa and look how that went. and tommy stares at him in horror and shouts DID YOU KILL SANTA CLAUS, TECHNOBLADE? and technoblade shrugs and says Those elves were not bein paid properly AND i heard through the grapevine santa was stealin more than milk and cookies AND he gave me coal insteada Wither skulls. and while tommy stares on in horror the sound of munching on a carrot comes up behind him and technoblade raises his crossbow and shoots and wilbur screams and drops his carrot and tommy yells FIRST SANTA CLAUS THEN THE EASTER BUNNY NOW FUCKING WILBUR, TECHNOBLADE? and techno goes Well it's not my fault he was actin like the easter bunny. and wilbur goes "EATING? EATING A FUCKING CARROT IS ACTING LIKE THE EASTER BUNNY? WAIT ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL THE FUCKING EASTER BUNNY?" and techno reloads his crossbow and goes Ohhh my god im not goin over this again. and tommy goes WIL HE'S FUCKING CRAZY HE THINKS THE EASTER BUNNY'S REAL AND WANTS TO SHOOT HIM. BECAUSE OF LAG. and wilbur scratches at his neck and is like "um to be fair the easter bunny is real. though i dont know why you'd want to shoot him he's literally nice" and tommy's like YOU HAVE GOT TO BE HAVING A LAUGH. and wilbur's like "HE'S A NICE GUY MAN I DUNNO" and techno's like Okay then why does he keep laggin out my are. and wilbur goes "MAYBE IT'S THE 100 FUCKING MOBS YOU KEEP. IT'S NOT EVEN EASTER MAN" and techno's like Heh? and tommy's like WOT. and wilbur goes "easter was yesterday." and tommy goes NO THAT WAS 4/20 I SPECIFICALLY REMEMBER BECAUSE WE GOT RANBOO REALLY HIGH TO SCARE HIM.

okay i just found this draft from the day after easter. the entire end joke was going to be that wilbur knows the easter bunny is real is bc they shared one beautiful night together. hope you enjoyed.

Someone asked me for notes on writing technoblade so:

this is how I do characterization, just in random order.

deadpan or "dry" but not monotone— he's often quite expressive just in a deadpan way.

FUNNY. Humour is hard though so you can skate by on just being sarcastic and deadpan.

Sarcastic.

doesn't often say that someone is important to him in words, not in a literal fashion— the reason why things like "for you the world" or "my best friend" or "bro" or "good friend and disciple" gets celebrated is because he wouldn't say that sort of thing often. He is not out here calling people sunshine. Techno's out here saying "oh I'm not endeared" and "there's a RACCOON in my basement" and "that's what I'd expect from you, old man", but at the same time in actions he's very clearly showing that he cares— fight alongside someone, give them gifts, invite them to stay. Complaining about being woken up and how he needs his beauty sleep and how he's gonna wither to ashes while he makes you supper and won't let you apologize and sets up the guest room for you. And then says of course he's doing it he values this friendship. and then tells you how you could make anything you want for breakfast don't wake him before ten or he'll crumble to dust

especially with phil, very rarely MEAN/cutting, even while bantering and complaining— he'll call him an old man who's fallen off but he won't make fun of how he talks or call him stupid or a burden or tell him to shut up. He will tell tommy to stop talking but that would be because tommy was yelling his opinions at people like a grackle

anxiety— he wins fights because he overprepares. the beginning of every stream is so much brewing and armour and grinding. The world is dangerous and the only way to face it is to Git Gud. HE WILL BE GRINDING.

loves animals.

general-purpose nerd. people boil this down to english-major a lot, but things I have heard technoblade go on tangents about include math, psychology, greek mythology, metaphor, and How To Balance The Game

canonically into golf? I don't use that but yeah.

it's fair if I can grind the game sufficiently to make it work. will use exploits and edge cases and also expects them to be used against him cause that's just the game we're playing, right?

dark humour. this is a guy who made jokes about his execution and then his cancer. If he is in peril or something terrible is happening he will be joking about it. Most of the time however that is very carefully dark humour that is about, in the metaphor, him on the gallows, not being part of the crowd at a public execution.

Neurodivergent. This Man Has ADHD. in-game he had the zoomies a lot, he jumped conversational topics, he got distracted and missed stuff.

socially uncomfortable but has social skills— you see the discomfort especially on places like SMPearth or when he's not in a highly scripted lore call. He'll be falling back on silence or falling out of the conversation unless he's comfortable with people, and then you see WAY more of the fast joking, on a sliding scale of how comfortable he was with people. You can absolutely tell if he's comfortable with people and it correlates to how much company manners he's putting on. Like he'll make the effort socially, but you can tell he's plotting his escape from this conversation most of the time on SMPearth unless with his allies.

you can get an incredibly long way with dropping your gs, "bruh", and deadpan sarcasm.

kinda guy to use "wanna" and "soporific" in the same sentence. Big vocabulary, informal mode of speaking unless he's giving a prepared speech.

On SMPearth jokes about world conquest and domination, on DSMP jokes about being the bad guy/withers/terrorism, on origins jokes about cancer.

Will talk himself up as the best and powerful while also in a way that implies he doesn't really believe that or think it's important. First Try, Chat, he'll say, while very clearly and obviously going for the sixth try. Didn't even sweat, while a moment ago he was audibly panicking down the mic. Kinda guy to talk about his enormous clout and then turn the conversation around to how Ranboo has higher viewership and he personally has fallen off and is dying and being flattened— not in a complaining way, but in a "you're doing so awesome you beat me so good great game" way.

does not swear while on stream. We know he swore off-stream but those clips are few and far between. You will get people twitch if you have techno swearing though.

I've run out of thoughts, does anyone else have more ideas for Techno characterization?
