i just realised y'all dont know this story. so the flat im staying in in paris doesn't have an ensuite, i have to physically leave my studio and use the bathroom down the corridor and then go back to my room, which means i usually have to go through the hassle of unlocking my door every single time i come back

the other week i was prepping for a d&d game with my friends and literally messaged them 'give me 5 minutes im just going to the shop' and it really WAS five minutes by the time i got back to my flat. i realised i needed to quickly use the bathroom before the game started so i tossed my ice cream and bag and phone onto the bed and thought that i could just block the door jamb with a dress and quickly pop back into my room once i was done

then the door SHUT BEHIND ME

AND LOCKED

WHILE I WAS IN MY PYJAMAS IN A CORRIDOR WITH MY KEYS AND PHONE IN MY ROOM

i was locked out for three hours. my friends thought i died omw to the shop
