My take on book 2, page 17 for the Wings of Fire GN Redraw project (#WoFRedrawn)! This absolute beast took a lot out of me but I’m very happy with the result

This is my first contribution to the book 2 redraw, but it is not my first overall! Below the cut are all the pages and panels I’ve redrawn for book 1 (content warning for mild gore)

I like the German tribe designs so much that they ended up being my go-to, but I kept them a touch closer to NA's design for the project.

I'll blabber on about the designs on separate post if I ever get to it. Admittedly I just do them kinda on the spot as I work on my panels.

Did the peril redraw

Everyone was doing it and I fucking love Peril so I didn’t wanna miss out.

Planning to get her gn book cuz mmmm I love her.

Imma be real I kinda don’t like this drawing but idk what else I can do to it lol.

Might just recolour it completely at some point who knows.

Also sorry again to wof fans who have no idea who legends of avantris are and why I keep drawing them.

Idc what anybody says I love Mike Holmes' art style. It's simple enough to redraw over and over again and yet still detailed enough that the GNs dont feel like a kid's cartoon. And just the way the actual comic panels are organized are so interesting. I got into WoF through the GNs when the first one came out so maybe I'm biased, but truly I love the graphic novels with all my heart

I wanted to go out with all the expressions, and lowkey relearned how to do lineless in the process lmao

Did also change up the text bubbles’ composition a bit! I really liked the dialogue but wanted to emphasize some things more
