sultry - @wolfstarmicrofic - word count: 324
Remus Lupin was an academic.
While school didn’t always come as naturally to him as it did to James or Sirius, he loved learning. Studying. Knowing.
His favorite subject?
Sirius Black.
That particular subjectwell, let’s just say, he could voraciously consume information about that boy for hours and still thirst for more.
Which is why he could tell you, in great-bloody-detail about Sirius Black’s smiles.
There were just so many.
The mischievous one, when one corner of those perfect pink lips curled upwards, when those gray eyes sparkled. It was used for pranks and jokes, for when Sirius felt particularly playful or troublesome.
The innocent one, with big eyes and a pouty little grin. This, Remus knew from experience, was used to get out of trouble. Often yielding mixed results, it was best when let loose on doting professors.
And then there was the sultry one. Though this one often made Remus weak in the knees, the fiery look was something Remus had come to realize wasn’t actually real. The sexy upturn of lips, the smolder in those eyes…it was a show. A mask.
This smile. The one Remus was witnessing now. This was Remus’s favorite.
Sirius lay below him, hair fanned out on Remus’s white pillowcase, his eyes wide, pupils blown out. And when he smiled, he did so almost shyly. Like he, Sirius Black, the most confident Gryffindor on the bloody planet, was nervous to be around him, Remus Lupin, the bloke who tripped over his own feet and frequently spilled soup on his own jumper. That he wanted this just as much as Remus did.
This smile, this one where he bit at his lower lip and blushed a bit and shivered at Remus’s touch?
This was just for them.
“Hey Moony,” Sirius murmured breathlessly, as if they hadn’t been snogging for several minutes, now.
Remus felt himself grin a jaw-aching grin. “Hey, baby,” he whispered back.
Gods, he loved him.

surreal • word count: 266
@wolfstarmicrofic
It starts with James noticing the braids. Tiny, uneven plaits tucked behind Sirius’ ears or at the nape of his neck. Sloppy at first, rushed little things, barely holding.
But over time, they become neater. Tighter. More delicate. Like someone’s taking their time. Like someone cares. Small, intricate braids that seem to appear overnight, threaded through Sirius' thick dark hair like quiet secrets.
Then Lily notices. Then Marlene. And soon, everyone’s whispering about Sirius Black’s mysterious new girlfriend. Surely he’s not doing them himself?
Whenever someone asks, Sirius just shrugs, dreamy-eyed, and says, “Oh, just someone I fancy.”
James frowns.
Because if Sirius is in love with someone, that means Moony... gentle, quiet, hopelessly in love Moony... might be heartbroken. James has long suspected they’re in love with each other, just too stubborn to admit it.
So he worries. Until one evening, during exam week, he walks into the dorm...and stops.
Sirius is curled up in Remus’ lap on the window seat, bathed in gold from the setting sun. His hair is swept to one shoulder, a book open in his hands as he lazily quizzes Remus.
Remus hums answers as he gently braids a thin strand near the base of Sirius’ neck. He finishes with a gentle kiss just above it. Like it’s something he’s done a hundred times before. They both looked disgustingly happy.
It’s surreal. Like walking into a dream he didn’t realize he’d been hoping to see. His best friends happy.
They don’t even notice him. James just smiles, heart light.
Finally. He thinks. He closes the door without a word.

Prompt 1 - Rain
@wolfstarmicrofic August 1, word count 994
Previous part First part
Remus felt uneasy the next morning. He woke up with Sirius sprawled across him, drooling on his shoulder and snoring gently. He should feel so happy right now, but something felt off. Sirius didn’t seem to notice when he finally awoke.
“What time is it?” he asked, yawning widely, his hot breath tickling against Remus’s skin.
“Eight,” he answered, flicking his phone screen on.
“Ugh, it’s so early,” Sirius whined and snuggled back into Remus. Sirius whined again and wiggled. “Damn it!” He huffed, rolling off Remus and stomping heavy-footed to the door. “I need to pee!” He announced as he opened the door and disappeared down the landing.
Remus was getting out of bed when Sirius returned, looking a bit more awake. He jumped onto the bed, carefully pushing Remus back onto the bed with him and crowded him against the mattress. Remus blinked up at him in shock. Since he’d been at the Potters, they’d only kissed. This was new. Sirius cocked his head to the side, studying him, and leaned down to press a light kiss against his lips. His hair brushed against Remus’s face, and Remus resisted the urge to brush it away. They stared at each other until Sirius cocked his head again. “What’s wrong?” he asked. Remus felt silly even voicing it.
“I feel odd,” he told him. “Like something's not right.”
Sirius moved off him, letting him push himself up the bed and sit up against the pillows.
“Like, you feel odd personally or like you have a funny feeling?” Sirius asked, taking Remus’s words seriously.
“Like a funny feeling. I can’t shake it,” Remus said.
“It’s probably because we’re meeting Barty and Evan at your flat, and with everything with Art yesterday, you’re worried something is going to happen,” Remus nodded. That made sense. He had been worrying about it before he fell asleep last night. He let out a relieved sigh.
“Yeah,” he said, nodding along to his own words. “I bet that’s it. Thanks, Sirius,” Sirius moved in and stole another kiss.
“No problem, sweetheart,” and Remus felt all bubbly over the nickname.
James had made porridge for breakfast, and he ladled out large bowls for everyone. Remus immediately grabbed the sugar bowl and began heaping spoonfuls onto his porridge.
“I forgot you had an insane sweet tooth,” Lily laughed as she watched him stir the mound of sugar into his porridge and then add a lump of jam on top as well. Remus just grinned at her as he put the ridiculously sweet oats into his mouth. Lily gipped and then blinked in surprise. “Sorry, pregnancy nonsense,” she apologised and then did it again. She picked up her bowl and excused herself to go sit in the living room.
“Sorry!” Remus called through once he’d swallowed his mouthful.
“Not your fault,” Lily called back, and she retched again.
“So, do you want to come with us today?” Sirius asked James.
“What are you doing?” James asked, his eyes looking in concern at the living room door.
“First, we’re going to the funeral home to sort out what Remus owes them, and then we’re meeting Evan and Barty at Remus’s flat.” James grimaced at him.
“I’d rather spend an evening talking about drills with Petunia’s husband than spend any amount of time with the brat twins.”
“Aww, but they love you,” Sirius cooed, batting his eyelashes at James. “In fact, they told me the other week that they’re so happy for you and Lily being pregnant because now someone gets to call you daddy,” James pulled a face.
“Yeah, I’m staying here,”
“Might be good practice for when baby Potter arrives. They need some damn discipline.” Sirius carried on as though it were a normal conversation.
“The kind of discipline they want is not the kind I am willing to dish out,” James huffed, spooning porridge into his mouth. Sirius leaned over the table, a sly smile creeping across his face.
“How will you know if you don’t try it?” James nearly choked on his spoonful of porridge.
“Out! Out of my house!” he commanded, brandishing his spoon at Sirius. “Go see your brats and leave me in peace.” Sirius quickly wolfed down his food and hopped up from the table, and looked expectantly at Remus, but Remus wasn’t finished yet.
“You know, James, I bet you’d be brilliant at it,” Remus said matter-of-factly.
“At what?” James asked.
“Giving those boys what they want,” he smirked. He’d missed teasing James.
“OUT! Both of you out!” Remus grabbed his bowl and hurriedly finished the last few bites, and ran towards the front door with Sirius.
Rain pounded on the car as they made their way back to the city, and the uneasy feeling filled Remus again. He wasn’t sure if Sirius had noticed, but he couldn’t help feeling like something bad was about to happen. Sirius’s hand moved from the steering wheel and rested on Remus’s thigh, giving it a quick squeeze before returning to the wheel.
“I won’t let anything happen to you, you know,” Sirius told him. “Everything’s going to go fine, so try not to worry. He smiled tightly, and they fell back into silence. His stomach was churning by the time they pulled up to the funeral home.
“You don’t have to do this, you know,” Remus told him as Sirius offered his hand to help Remus out of the low seat. “I can pay it myself. It’s just going to take me a while,”
“Remus, I’m paying it,” Sirius said firmly. Remus took his hand and let him pull him up.
“I just don’t want you to think I’m only after your money,” he said quietly. Sirius cupped his cheeks in his hands.
“Remus, I will never think that of you. I know you hate asking for help, but I’m offering. Please, let me do this for you,” Remus rocked forward and rested his forehead on Sirius’s.
“Okay.” He agreed.

An old name - a wolfstar microfic
@wolfstarmicrofic - July 31: Husband - Words: 299
Sirius was sipping a half-pint in a dimly lit corner of The Leaky Cauldron, passing time. True to habit, Remus took longer than him browsing through the many shops in Diagon Alley.
"Good day, Mr Black. How do you do?"
Sirius couldn't put a name to the witch in matching emerald green hat and robe, but recognised her as someone who had been present in his parents’ circles. She couldn't have been in the loop for the last few years, though, if she still addressed him by that name.
"How do you do?" Sirius answered without correcting her.
"It's such a pleasant surprise to meet you. I haven’t seen you since you went to Hogwarts. May I introduce you to my daughter?"
The impeccably dressed and adorned girl held her out hand with aristocratic grace, a perfect facade of adoring interest on her face. Although unprepared, Sirius had met enough mothers on the hunt for a wealthy, influential son-in-law to spot the pattern. He had hated it. In fact, his unwillingness to abide by the expected protocol had been the origin of numerous scoldings and scars. Maybe it was a testament to how far he'd come that he decided to humour her, taking her hand and moving it towards his lips, but not actually kissing it.
"Araminta here just graduated with very good grades, if I do say so." The mother continued her selling speech.
Like a saving grace, Remus walked in the door, arms full of books and trinkets.
"Lovely to meet you, Araminta. Here comes my husband now, I'd best be on my way."
Sirius downed the last of his drink and rose, enjoying the mother's horrified face. Not being able to help himself, he grinned and added: "I might mention, my name is Sirius Lupin now."

Family - July 21 - word count: 240 - @wolfstarmicrofic
“...and you are not to associate with those Potters, either,” Walburga spat the word like it was poison. “Do you understand me, Sirius Orion?”
“Yes, Mother,” he replied, back ramrod-straight.
Her sharp nails discreetly dug into his shoulder as she eyed him with distrust. “Repeat what I said.”
“I will not associate myself with blood-traitors or those below us. I will behave myself. I will bring honor to the House fo Black and to our family… and I won’t talk to Potters.”
Walburga gave a sharp nod at her eleven-year-old son, letting go and looking at him with something akin to approval. “Good.”
“May I go now, Mother?”
“You may.”
Sirius lowered his head, stepping away from his mother and towards the Hogwarts Express, trunk floating behind him.
All of the compartments he looked in were full of rowdy students, until he reached the last one.
A boy that looked to be his age sat inside, nose buried deep in a book- something by the Brothers Grimm, not that Sirius knew who those people were.
“Can I sit with you?” Sirius asked quietly, not wanting to disturb the peace in the compartment.
“Sure,” the other boy answered, not looking up. “What’s your name?”
Sirius looked over from where he was trying to put his trunk up. “Oh- uh, Sirius. Sirius Black.”
“Neat. I’m Remus Lupin.”
And oh, Sirius could tell that they were going to be friends.
(Maybe something more.)

Infidelity - Wolfstar - @taylorswiftmicrofic - 287 words - AO3
Sirius comes storming into the common room, flopping down on the sofa and exclaiming dramatically, “Moony! I will never forgive you for this betrayal, this infidelity.”
Remus sighs from the armchair he was in, looking over his book as he asks amusedly, “What have I done to piss you off this time?”
Sirius sits up properly. “I heard that you had a study session with Evans this afternoon.”
“Back to last-naming Lily again?” he smiles. “Yes, we were in the library earlier, tell me how that is a betrayal to you.”
“Because I asked you to pull a prank this morning!” he yells, drawing the attention of a few people nearby but most people over the years have learnt to ignore their antics. “You blew me off to study?”
“Exams are in a few weeks, Sirius. Maybe you should study some more.”
“How dare you insinuate I need to study, Moons,” he scoffs. “I am brilliant and don’t need to waste my time looking at books on things I already know.”
Remus closes his book, and heads towards the dorm, whispering as he passes Sirius, “I can think of a few things to make up for this, and relax me after hours of being cooped up in the library.”
Sirius grins, racing ahead of him up the stairs, and stands against the doorway as Remus approaches. “Why hello there, interested in some loving this fine evening?”
Rolling his eyes, he grabs his hand and pulls him towards his bed. “I have no idea how you got the reputation of being cool, you are just as much a loser as I am.”
He places his lips to Remus’, murmuring, “You love that about me.”
Godric, he really does.

sirius, gasping: you think moony's ugly? how dare you!!
(smacks pete over the head)
but also...
sirius, lovesick look on his face doodling r+s in his transfiguration textbook: he's so cute i love him so much i want to gobble him up and shrink him down and keep him as a pet in my pocket
james: i guess
sirius: you guess?! no! moony is mine, back off
(swings protective arm over remus and grabs his cheek)
minnie: mr black, please can we refrain from assaulting our classmates in lesson? thank you.
because like i could totally see sirius just getting SO protective and jealous over remus and it's so cute

“Tell me a story,” Sirius said, his voice muffled against Remus’s shoulder.
Remus hummed, fingers tracing lazy circles on his back. “What kind of story?”
“Ours. But make it sound pretty.”
Remus smiled into Sirius’s hair. “Alright, then: once upon a time, there was a boy who thought he was a monster. And another stubborn boy who refused to believe him.”
Sirius smiled sleepily. “And how does it end?”
Remus pressed a kiss behind his ear. “It doesn’t. That’s the best part.”

Rain
Word Count: 506 - @wolfstarmicrofic
Christmas fic in August, enjoy x
For once, the dormitory was quiet. There was no James bounding in from quidditch practice, gleefully narrating his latest achievements; no Peter challenging each of his roommates, in turn, to game of chess he knew he would win; and no Sirius bouncing off of the walls for attention.
In their absence, only the crackling of fire, the turn of a page, and the pattering of rain filled the room. The glow from the fireplace reflected off shiny ornaments hung delicately from the tree. The colours they cast over the dorm were warm and rosy.
Remus was burrowed beneath his covers, and all too content to be left alone if it meant he could finally read in peace. These were the benefits, he supposed, of being a werewolf who was forced to stay at school over the Christmas holidays. His parents simply couldn't accommodate for the full and, while all three boys had offered to stay, Remus never wanted to be a bother.
That was how he found himself happily engrossed in his story, jumping from line to line as the plot thickened, and the mystery advanced, and-
The sound of the door being flung open pulled Remus out of his book world. Stood in the doorway - completely drenched, hair dripping, and carrying two mugs - was Sirius. The very same Sirius who should have been at the Potters'.
"I- Padfoot..?" Remus tried weakly, still struggling to make sense of his friend as Sirius shook his head awkwardly in an effort to rid himself of some of the water.
Sirius lit up at the sound of his voice. "Moony! You didn't really think I'd leave you alone for the holidays, did you?" His hair was plastered to his face and getting in his mouth, but Sirius seemed unaffected.
Before Remus could protest, or question, or even begin to suggest a drying charm, Sirius padded over to his bed and proudly thrust a steaming mug into his hands.
"Hot chocolate!" Sirius declared, flashing Remus a toothy grin. He had left a trail of water in his wake, a puddle was slowly forming were he stood, and the way his shirt was clinging to him was unfair. His lopsided smile and bright, shining eyes were what did it.
Remus couldn't be blamed for what happened next. He kissed him. He wasn't sure when he flung his book aside, set his mug down, and pulled Sirius on to the bed; It honestly didn't matter. Sirius' lips were on his - soft and slightly damp - and he was kissing Remus back.
When they pulled away at last, foreheads still flushed, Sirius spoke before Remus could vocalise the panic that was quickly seizing him.
"You kissed me," Sirius stated, voice breathy and a little dazed. Then, surer and far more elated, "Moony, you kissed me!"
Remus had no time to let anxious thoughts linger when Sirius engulfed him in his arms and a flurry of pecks.
It was several minutes later when Remus finally returned to his senses.
"Pads, you smell like wet dog."

i loooove the hc that remus was the one that got sirius into rock and roll
like sirius, the sheltered pureblood rich kid, listening to remus as he rambles about each and every new album he got for Christmas, then realizing sirius has no clue what the fuck hes talking about which then leads them to listening to everything. Remus has his eyes closed and is bopping his head around, occasionally putting his input in on his favourite songs, while Sirius is staring at the ceiling in awe as his life is changed

water - @wolfstarmicrofic - slightly NSFW - word count: 614
They hadn’t told anyone yet.
Not because they were ashamed. No, Remus was ecstatic, actually. He wanted to scream from the bloody rooftops that somehow, someway, he’d managed to kiss Sirius Black in some place outside of his dreams.
More because…they wanted to get used to it. To figure out how they were, now. To understand, before they explained to others. They wanted to do this right, and for that, Remus was thankful.
So as the four boys walked down to dinner, he had to resist the urge to grab Sirius’s hand. To kiss the lips that he now knew for a fact were just as soft as they looked. To slam Sirius against the wall and kiss the breath out of him, even if he really, really wanted to.
Sighing, he sank into a seat next to Sirius in the Great Hall, both thrilled and distraught by the fact that the other boy could have such an effect on him just by being right there.
But that was the thing, right? Somehow, magically, Remus seemed to have an effect on Sirius, too. Or, at least, he had, when they’d been snogging last night. The way Sirius’s eyes had widened, the way his breath had hitched…it had been like the most beautiful music Remus had ever heard, composed specifically for his ears.
He wondered, idly, if he could make it happen again. Smirking around his potatoes, he inched his hand to the side.
You see, he might have had a reputation for being the best-behaved of the four, but that didn’t mean he was innocent, by any means.
Sirius and James were prattling on about something, all big hand gestures and loud shouts, so Remus had plenty of cover. He moved slowly, eyes fixed on his plate, forcing himself not to smirk, until–
Sirius’s breath hitched just a little. As he spoke, he stuttered for just a moment when Remus rested a hand on his knee, enough to hint that he felt it, but not enough to be suspicious.
Remus bit his lip.
Gods, how was someone like Sirius so affected by him?
He could feel Sirius’s knee quivering as he moved, even as the shorter boy continued to speak, and he considered stopping there. But something in Sirius’s posture, in the way he leaned just slightly into Remus, made him keep going.
He slid his hand up. Just a bit.
“...and I–fuck–” Sirius stuttered, fork slipping from his hand.
James and Peter stared. Remus gave him a look.
“Sorry. Lost my train of thought,” the shorter boy said with a grin, picking up the silverware with a slightly-trembling hand. Underneath the table, he grasped Remus’s hand for half a second, pushing it tighter against his leg, before placing both wrists on the table again.
Oh Merlin.
He stayed there for a moment, tracing fingers over the thigh he’d only allowed himself to dream about touching, marvelling inwardly at the way the muscles flexed and tensed beneath his touch. Sirius was affected by this. Well and truly. He…it was…
Remus looked out of the corner of his eye, trying to figure out if he could go further.
A knee knocked his.
He slid his hand up more, squeezing the flesh of Sirius’s inner thigh, resisting the urge to groan.
All of a sudden, Sirius choked, his hacking cough drawing the attention of everyone within a two-meter radius.
“Merlin, mate!” James gaped, handing him some water. “You okay?”
“N-no,” Sirius said, cheeks bright red as he regained his breath. “I…think I need a walk. Remus, go with me, yeah?”
And, beaming, Remus allowed himself to be tugged by a nearly-running Sirius out of the Hall.

Wolfstar Microfic- Sultry
Word Count- 300 words (Microfic Royalty)- @wolfstarmicrofic
So this is my shortest one by far because I am actually up far too late, and I am going to be exhausted for work tomorrow. Literally wrote it in about ten minutes? I really like it though, it's quite...cute...I'll say cute... of the two of them and I think they deserve it. Honeymoon time!
CWs: alcohol consumption, thoughts of sexual activity, implications of future sexual activity between two consenting adults, hair pulling (dw, sirius likes it), nothing explicit.
The look in Sirius' eyes weighed more sultry than the humid air that hung, thick and tense even as the light waned. Remus swallowed dryly, reaching for the last dregs of his cocktail as his eyes drifted around the beautifully laid room.
The Honeymoon suite had been done up especially for them; all the classic stuff was arranged. The rose petals decorating the bed, the open plan apartment and thousands of candles that Remus couldn't even begin to fathom lighting in the heat that swarmed him.
He didn't know if it was the fire in his fian- husband…his husband's eyes that was making him sweat so profusely, or if it was the 36 degrees celsius, 89% humidity weather, though he had an idea that it may be both.
Though they sat on the plush sofa currently, Remus could map out potential in every corner of the room… his lips quirked at every new possibility that the staff (cheeky rascals) had so clearly planned out.
The room was certainly meant for new spouses to…ah… become acquainted with one another, and though Remus had already done plenty of that when Sirius was still a Black, he was more than ready to rediscover some things.
Setting his glass down and meeting Sirius' eyes again, Remus smirked crookedly and gestured for Sirius to come closer. Sirius' eyebrow raised even as he ran his tongue behind his lower lip, meeting Remus' order with a bratty challenge.
Remus smiled wider at the display, reaching out with the reflexes of a wolf and grabbing Sirius by the hair, dragging him closer, until they were a breath away from each other. Hearing the gorgeous, needy whine that left his husband's throat, Remus breathed out a soft laugh.
This was going to be a fun night.

Prompt 4 - Water
@wolfstarmicrofic August 4, word count 932
Previous part First part
“I was thinking we could go out tonight,” Barty said once he had finished searching. He opened the window, which Remus found odd. “There’s this new bar opening. First drinks free if you’re part of the rainbow,” he took a small device out of his bag and set it up outside, fiddling with his phone as he tilted it until he was happy and then shut the window. Barty caught Remus’s interested look and showed him his phone. It was a camera, and he could see inside the entire flat. ‘Wow,’ he mouthed, and Barty winked at him.
“I'm up for it if you are, Remus?” Sirius said, drawing Remus’s attention back to the conversation.
“Yeah, sure, sounds good. But not too late, right?” Sirius wrapped an arm around him and kissed the top of his head.
“Don’t worry, I’ll have you tucked up in bed in time for a hot chocolate before bed,” Remus felt himself blushing and smiled shyly up at Sirius.
“Please tell me ‘hot chocolate’ is a euphemism for something sexual and not literal hot chocolate,” Barty groaned when Remus told him that yes, it was about literal hot chocolate. “Jesus, Lupin, how old are you?”
“Hey, leave him be,” Sirius growled.
“I have a medical thing that makes me like an old man,” Remus began to explain.
“Don’t lie,” Evan smirked. “You’ve always been an old man, I can tell,” they burst into loud laughter.
“You caught me,” Remus chuckled.
“Right, let’s go get wasted!” Barty cheered and strode out of the flat. Remus got up and took one last look at the dingy, mould-infested flat and left, vowing to never return.
The bar was insanely busy. The line was halfway down the street, but Barty walked past the waiting patrons and went straight to the front of the queue.
“Oscar, my love!” He crowed, wrapping his arms around the enormous bouncer and kissing him on the lips. He hopped up, and Oscar caught him.
“Not you again,” he said fondly.
“Don’t be like that, you know you love me,” Barty batted his eyelashes at Oscar, and a cute little smile crept onto Oscar’s lips, and a faint blush coloured his olive skin. He peered around Barty.
“Just the four of you?” His eyes scanned Remus’s woollen jumper.
“Yes, baby. Can we come in?” Barty asked, his voice taking on a babyish quality. Oscar rolled his eyes.
“Fine.” Barty kissed him again, and Remus was certain he saw Barty’s tongue sneak into Oscar's mouth. He glanced at Evan, but he seemed to be quite enjoying the spectacle.
Barty hopped down from Oscar’s arms, and after one last quick peck, Oscar let them in.
“Call us when you want to meet up again,” Barty said as they walked past. “We got new ropes we’ve been wanting to try out,” To Remus’s surprise, Oscar bobbed his head as Evan reached up for a kiss as well. Remus shrugged; it was none of his business what Evan and Barty did. They seemed happy enough with their arrangement, and so did Oscar.
The bar was packed, and they had to fight their way to the front to get drinks.
“What cha want, sexy?” Barty asked Remus.
“Oh, er, just a water, thanks,” Barty looked at him as though he’d just spoken in tongues.
“Remus, you have to have at least one drink!” Barty said, flabbergasted.
“I thought I could be the designated driver. That way you guys can have fun, and I’ll drive you home,” he swung round to face Sirius. “If it’s all right for me to drive your car. Sorry, I should have asked,” Sirius waved his concerns aside.
“That’s fine, Remus, I already put you on the insurance.” Remus didn’t have time to be shocked because Barty butted back in.
“Hey, that’s not fair! You refuse to put me on your insurance, and then Mr Honey Eyes comes waltzing in after twelve years, and he’s straight on there!” Barty sulked, and Evan had to pat him on the head. Sirius shrugged.
“You’ve written off three cars in two years. Barty, there is no way I’m letting you even sit behind the wheel without the keys.” Barty continued to sulk, so Evan took over.
“Right shot of Sambuca for Sulky here, Whisky for Sirius, water for Remus and Sex on the beach for me,” Evan listed all the drinks and then ducked under a hairy man's arm to get to the bartender.
“You know it’s fine if you want to drink, we can get a taxi,” Sirius said right in his ear, so he didn’t have to shout. Remus shook his head.
“I don’t feel like it tonight,” Sirius nodded, accepting his answer and left it at that. Evan pushed back out of the throng of bodies and handed out the drinks. They wandered over to a table and sat down around it.
“So that was a bit shit,” Barty said, taking a slug from his drink that clearly wasn’t a shot; it looked more like five.
“I don’t understand why they would want to record me,” Remus said, sipping his water.
“They’re interested in keeping you under their thumbs,” Evan told him. “Look how hard they are trying to keep you under contract,” Remus furrowed his brow.
“Mr Borgin didn’t want to let me out of my contract with him either,” he said slowly. Evan took out his phone and began taking notes.
“Borgin, why do I know that name?”
“Borgin & Burkes funeral home,” Sirius supplied, and Evan’s eyes grew wide. He began tapping furiously on his phone.

Wolfstar and the colour gold
⋆˖⁺‧₊☽◯☾₊‧⁺˖⋆
They were golden.
Golden like the taste of warm tea and milk chocolate.
Golden like the feeling of the sun on their skin by the black lake.
Golden like forever young.
Like blissful ignorance, a peaceful world of just the two of them.
Like hope for a happier future somewhere far away. Somewhere in a cottage among nothing but fields. Somewhere the sun shined through the cracks in the curtains and bathed the room in light.
Golden like the glint of Remus' eyes when he got excited.
Golden like the switch of Sirius' jewellery to stay away from silver.
Golden like sunrise, high up on the astronomy tower, staring into each other's eyes.
Golden like the numbers on Sirius' quidditch jersey. The numbers Remus watched from the edge of his seat in the stands.
Golden like the bookmark Remus slipped between pages. The bookmark Sirius held to his chest as he listened to Remus' calming voice until he drifted off to sleep.
Golden like the bedsheets they laid on together, fingers interlocked and soft smiles on sleepy faces.
Golden like the doorknob that led to the shrieking shack.
Golden like the core of Sirius' wand.
Golden like the walls of their flat they shared together.
Golden like first and last love.
Golden like nothing could tear them apart.
