ccan you tell us more about how dangerous momota was and his and ouma's dynamic,,, or just something you like about ouma,,,, ykw, just talk about what you want

OOH I LOVE THIS TOPIC SO MUCH

So Momota is so incredibly dangerous and has a very toxic mentality that infects the rest of the cast. The fandom tends to ignore this because his intentions ARE good, but Momota is in no way a perfect sunshine guy and he's pretty troublesome.

Drv3 has a LOT of character themes that parallel each other. And Momota and Ouma are no exception. Momota represents the extreme of thinking with your emotions while Ouma represents the extreme of thinking with evidence/logic.

So how does this make Momota dangerous?

Because of how WILLING he is to be ignorant. Momota's trust is dangerous because it allows people to turn away from the evidence saying otherwise because all that matters is that you should trust that person. Its INCREDIBLY dangerous in this sort of game. Its ESPECIALLY dangerous since that mentality begins to seep into the others. We see this the most in ch 4 where everyone intensely relies on Saihara for EVERYTHING, completely trusting him woth their lives and not realizing how stupidly dangerous that is.

His toxix trust even affects Harukawa, as seen in ch 5 where she is furious as Saihara for trying to find the truth like Momota was in ch 4. Harukawa never would have thought like this in ch 1. This was something taught to her by Momota.

If this mentality had affected Saihara it would've been game over. And I think Ouma KNEW this, in ch 4 he continues to try and get Saihara's attention and to get him away from Momota.

But Momota's trust isn't just dangerous because of how it turns a blind eye to evidence. Its dangerous, arguably more so than Ouma, because of how GOOD it sounds.

It sounds..so nice. So so nice. To trust the friends around you? To be think if you just BELIEVE in someone then thats all you have to do? That sort of wisful thinking, no matter how ignorant, can really get under your skin in a traumatizing situation like this. Who WOULDN'T want to think so hopefully after being so scared and depressed?

Danger disguised as something good is ten times more hurtful because you crave it and you let it get into your head and you dont want to let go until its too late.

Momota means well. He does. But man is he risky.
