hey there! with work and life i fell away from writing and writeblr for a while, so i figured it was time to start over again with a fresh blog!

— about me —

i'm erika, a 24 year old autistic nonbinary (she/they) lesbian from the us. my old urls were solariswrites and briarinked....neither one of which really clicked for me. i've always been more of a lurker, but i also say third time's the charm!

i'm a hobby writer first and foremost. between life and a full time job that often leaves me worn out motivation comes and goes in waves. in other words, i'm just here for a good time.

my favorite genres are mainly sci-fi and fantasy. i also enjoy crime fiction, cyberpunk, road trips, artistic protagonists, and stories set in the '80's and '90's among other things.

at any given moment i'm rotating through a bunch of stories and crumbs of ideas.

i adore making bonus content for my wips. graphics, moodboards, playlists and memes? you name it i've thought of it.

besides writing i also like baking, tv and movies, comics, the occasional video game and media analysis.

the storm caller and the earth shaker (working title)

for years small town life has suited daniel and marcus bishop just fine. steady jobs fixing cars from the comfort of their garage, good neighbors who also double as close friends and family, and now two pups that keep them on their toes just enough for a little excitement.

until they develop strange powers out of the blue, with no clue as to what brought them on.

until a man comes to town, dripping with all the charm of a snake oil salesman, claiming he's got the answers they're looking for.

until they're sent running for their lives. the last thing they've thought they'd ever do.

untitled space uber story

in a timeline similar to ours in many ways, mankind has already reached for the stars, seeking fortune and opportunity on new worlds. and brought a few little things like capitalism and a new gig economy along with them....

and somewhere in this shuffle are a couple of guys and their ragtag polycrew, all searching for their purpose in a brave new world so much like the one they left behind.

fast times of the hollywood five

follows a gang of up and coming actors, artists and musicians as they try to make it in early 90's la.

untitled supernatural punk road tour story: a close knit punk band sets off across the midwest on their first tour, only to keep having run-ins with the supernatural.

untitled sci-fi podcast story: after an alien encounter the hosts of a small time sci-fi podcast use the experience to try and make a profit- only for things to quickly spiral out of control.

somewhere down that unbroken road

| my own private idaho | drama; road trip; romance | status: working on ch. 3 |

the angels are in the sky on a sunny day in idaho.

and on a seemingly endless road a narcoleptic ex-hustler who once searched for home and family only to find it in front of him, a rich kid who ran down the hill and the silver spoon of his sheltered life twice, never to look back for good this time, and a girl from across the ocean searching for something more than the quiet life she’s been used to find what’s waiting out there for them, and a chance to get a few things right this time.

the vortex club (working title)

a human au in which the nuwho doctors are all adopted siblings, but still have the tardis. it follows not only their travels throughout time and space but how it affects their lives back on earth.

john wick rewrite

| john wick | action; thriller | status: plotting |

a retelling of the movies in which helen lives all along. only now she has to face the consequences of john being thrown back into the criminal underworld- and put her own mettle to the test.

bill and ted's tumultuous twenties: after a most triumphant battle of the bands catapults the gang into worldwide fame wyld stallyns are back on solid ground in san dimas. now trying to navigate the rollercoaster ride that is their 20s, along with time travel, one thing’s for sure. the gang’s all in for one hell of a ride.

somewhere down that unbroken road spin-off: focuses on a parallel but different journey of self-discovery sdur's side characters at the wheel this time.
