I have come to the conclusion I prefer making the prompts instead of writing them, so I won't post the final writing on @emo-floof-child-writes like I have in past, but here's the prompt list! Feel free to jump around if that's more your thing! Or combine, if you want, idc. :) As long as you have fun!!
I'm posting this on August 1st, so you can be prepared for September 1st when it comes around! Have fun! Most of these, if I'm honest, are based off lyrics/song titles of twenty one pilots' new album Clancy. (As is especially evident by 5. Lavish, 6. Routine, and 12. Navigate). I also added one from AJR's song Inertia. (Take three guesses as to which one that is, lmao).
#writember#writember 2024#another thing is i don't wanna burn out before nanowrimo this year#last year I wrote 100k in that month and I think it'd be cool to do something like that again#day 0#ig#“ambass” is the verb form of “ambassador” btw#thought it'd be more interesting in verb form

inspired by @colap1nto <3 and posting here to hold myself accountable: writevember! attempting to write something every day no matter how much and what it is
i am however inventing stipulations for myself so i cannot weasel my way out of it, which includes a valid definition of “write”:
actively put words into a document in the form of a proper fic!!! too many wip not enough hands!!
poems (actually laughed at me coming up with this but maybe i will go back to my roots)
research/meta/primers
tag stories are permissible IF i actually compile and edit them into a readable document that day
editing to post to ao3 (the optimism) is also valid. it takes me so long
i do have concrete arbitrary deadlines for one and a half fics that i would LOVE to finish and post in november (dewey^2 and [redacted :)]) so i’m hoping this helps!! also, this is secretly just a sticker chart where i get to put down emojis for each fic i worked on and check off boxes but a win is a win

WRITEMBER RECAP: an overall sucess!!!! this was so much fun and really forced me to write even if it was only a little bit every day. like, to the point that i'm debating doing a cute little twelve days of christmas snippet fest. absolutely could not have finished and published dewey^2 p2 without this challenge or posted p3 :)
thirty days of writing
twelve different fics worked on
poems: 1
i have no word count for you sorry i wish i did but it is at least over a few thousand words!!!!
times i wrote for a day past midnight (making it technically the next day) but because i was still awake i counted it for that day: at least 17 if not closer to like. 25
tags i forgot what they mean: one. what the FUCK is 🪢??? OH MY GOD I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THAT IS NEVERMIND
duolingo streak (worked on the same fic in a row): 5
#liv in the replies#guys are you proud of me. i put everything I would normally yap into the tags in the actual post. hashtag growth#i say continuing to yap into the tags. I don’t want to be pessimistic but I AM scared this is occurring during my monthly bout of#productivity and I will face the doldrums and absolute inability to write in 2-4 days lol#also everyone says this next systems course is GARBAGE and terrible and super hard which. okay 💗 yay 💗#I should’ve put “reply to ao3 comments’ as a valid form of writing because the comment box terrifies me but it’s FINE#if you have ever commented on my fic I love you with every unspeakable fiber of my being and there is one comment I feel so guilty about#but it’s because every time I think about it I need to go jump around in circles I can’t fangirl too hard I also cannot find the WORDS#like even typing this out i’m like. anxious butterfly but it’s because I have so much love in my heart#also i am codifying the emojis to fics for Me sorry because I think it’s fun and i’m being secretive for literally no reason.#everyone tell me to get off of here and work on an actual fic. after I have my nik-induced/enabled 2353 breakdown#we hit day five and yes I DID forcibly make myself not work on a completely different fic. i wannnntttt to finishhhhh 🫃^2 2️⃣ so badddd#& this is not a game of ‘work on a different wip every day’ even if i could feasibly do that🫡 good news is i rlly think 3 -> 1 1/2 is done?#update 11/10 (technically 11/11 but it’s fine this is how it normally works) if i write like an unhinged person which is to say at all#bc i have midterms but also really like an unhinged person i MIGHT be able to adhere to my self-imposed deadline for 🫃2️⃣. god bless me#at 1:30AM yesterday having an absolute breakthrough with a line that has been in some variation in so many different fics including mine#for myself specifically because i keep having this moment: 🪢 is the fic in the bottom of the yowling doc lmao.

Writember Day 10: Promises
Title: I Promise
Pairing: Bakushima
Word Count: 707
Read on Ao3
Warnings: possible spoilers
Bakugou Katsuki hated hospitals.
Unfortunately for him, he was in hospitals quite a lot as a child. But that was to be expected due to the destructive nature of his quirk and his violent tendencies in general. He also knew that being a hero meant a lot of injuries and a lot more time he would have to spend in the hospital. He was prepared for that.
But hospitals are different when you are the visitor instead of the patient.
He stared at the monitor on the wall as his body ached from sitting in the uncomfortable chair that he had the nurse pull up next to Kirishima’s bed. He refused to look at the redhead due to the very painful knot that formed in his throat whenever he caught sight of the other’s injuries. However, Bakugou didn’t want to leave him, so he sat there, leaning forward so one elbow was propped up on the bed, holding his head up while his other hand gently laid over Kirishima’s injured one.
The rhythmic beeping of the heart monitor put Bakugou at slight ease, eyes falling shut a few times as his body wanted to succumb to sleep but he refused to give in. He forced his eyes back open and decided that he needed to move around. He stood and stretched, his body protesting at the flexion of muscles that have been sitting idle for too long. Mid-stretch, with his arms over his head and back arching slightly, his eyes did wander to Kirishima.
His chest tightened at how broken the other looked. Bandages covered most of the cuts and scrapes but a good portion of Kirishima’s exposed skin had turned a deep purple and blue, indicating that there was a lot of bruising and internal bleeding from his injuries. Bakugou scowled and quickly broke from the stretch, shoving his hands into his pockets with a huff. He tore his eyes away from the other and started to pace around the room.
“Stupid fucking shitty hair getting fucking injured and making me fucking sit in this shitty ass hospital with this dumbass doctors who can’t do shit,” he continued to mumble expletives to himself, angry but unable to figure out who he was angry at. Sure, he was pissed at the assholes that beat up Kirishima but there was more and he couldn’t pinpoint what.
Bakugou was so angry and unfocused to his surroundings that he didn’t hear the stirring coming from the bed. It wasn’t until he heard the flatlining of the heart monitor that he snapped out of his trance.
He spun around quickly, heart pounding and breath caught in his throat at what the flat beeping meant. As panic started to set in, his brain barely registered what he was seeing. It wasn’t until the familiar voice spoke to him that he was able to calm down.
“Sorry to scare you like that man but you didn’t seem to hear me.” Kirishima gave a small smile, voice coming out strained but Bakugou thought it was the most beautiful sound he’s ever heard.
He took a few deep breaths as he stared at the redhead, who was reattaching his heart sensors to his chest with shaky hands. “Fucking dumbass.” His words caused Kirishima to look up again and Bakugou scowled. He walked over to the hospital bed, yanking the wires out of his hands and reattaching them to his chest properly.
When he was done, he looked at the redhead, who was already staring at him. Neither realized how close they were until that moment but neither wanted to move. One of Bakugou’s palms stayed rested on the other’s bandaged chest, careful enough to not cause him harm but firm enough to ground them both, while he placed his other hand next to Kirishima’s head. Bakugou hovered over him, eyes and face softening.
“Don’t fucking do that shit to me again, shitty hair.”
Kirishima smiled shyly and pushed himself up on his elbows, hissing as his body protested against the movement but he didn’t stop until his forehead was pressed against Bakugou’s, a gesture made to reassure the blonde. Red eyes stared into red as they both sat there, relishing in the contact.
“I promise.”

MAC APPS FOR WRITERS
SCRIVENER – excellent for organising (and reorganising) longer projects. If you use Scrivener for novel writing, you might like to download my ONE PAGE NOVEL TEMPLATE.
NOTATIONAL VELOCITY – I use this for all odd notes. It’s quick, simple, beautiful, and saves all files as .txt.
FLUX – Flux automatically adjusts the colour temperature of your screen according to the time of day. I find it really helps me with eye strain!

AMBIENT-MIXER – Ambient-Mixer allows you to create your own custom soundscapes, or to use ones created by other users. My favourite is THIS HOGWARTS LIBRARY MIX.

COFFITIVITY – if you’d like to create a café atmosphere in your home, this is the web/mobile app you want.
ONLINE PUBLISHING COMMUNITIES
Wattpad – Wattpad’s strength lies in its mobile app which is very convenient for reading. It also provides great opportunities to connect with your readers and some basic metrics on how they are engaging with your stories. – Since my account was deleted without reason or warning, I can sadly no longer recommend Wattpad as a safe platform to share stories.
GOODREADS – you might not be aware that you can actually publish your own stories on Goodreads. You’ll need to login, GO TO THIS PAGE, then find the small link that says, “my writing”. I admit I haven’t tried it yet, but I love Goodreads as a book community, so I have high hopes. :)

So I finished figuring out the words for the Writember Prompt List;
But I don't know if I actually want to post my prompts on here after it drained the life out of me to do so last year. (Turns out using extravagant words leads to writer's headache! Who'd of guessed?! Me. I did)...
So, while I'll post the picture with the list, and writing on my own time, I don't think I'll make my musings public this year.
#writember2023#it may also have to do with WHAT i want to write about#because i don't feel like i can actually write the characters “correctly” if that makes sense#writing#this will be in september btw

BREAKING NEWS
As some of you might noticed I was a little... well, dead, dropped off due my practical assignment and some preparing for airing (can i say it that way???) my own big-ass AU, which I slightly nod to in my earlier posts. It's a fic now yaaaay!
I do apologise I didn't do the requests will do at my holidays. will do.
I am in my way fixing all this stuff with shedule, study and blog and actually I have both bad and good news.
Good news: blog is alive so am I in some of sort. There's going to be my ehhhh writing month?... Like inktober but writember. At least 1 time per week I'm gonna drop one of my fics (there's a lot of material tbh)
And... bad news, of course. The fanfics are on my native language - russian. Yeah, I know English and can write something cool like this bad future piece, but i spent way too many time on this. Translation and adoptation of all these puns, jokes and figures of speech - it's a pain in arse, i swear, even tho I admire english writing. I really want to share quality content but I have not so many time to translate all my works. Some of them - sure, why not, but KND which I'm currently busy (and obsessed) with - there will be death of mine.
Oh, about chapters schedule: first five chapters will be released every 2 weeks and then every chapter will be dropped once a month. If something will change there'll be a warning so - keep in touch, support if you feel so, good luck and have a nice day!
with all my love, aEempress.

Day 1 Beginnings/Ends
So I joined a thing for writers and it’s kind of like inktober but with writing and for November and here is day 1 (I probably won’t do every day or I won’t do BNHA every day but I’ll post what I do)
Read on AO3
TITLE: The Only One
WORD COUNT: 761
WARNING: Angst i’m so sorry
The first thing Amajiki fully comprehended were the sirens getting closer and closer to the scene. He groaned and tried to move but his body was trapped under something. Everything was too dark and it was getting hard for him to breathe, every inhale causing more debris to enter his lungs.
He could hear the rescue team getting closer and closer to where he was trapped, feeling slight optimism at their voices. “I’m…here.” His words came out strained, voice quiet and hoarse as a coughing fit racked his body. He felt a sharp pain in his side as his body convulsed from the fit, whimpering in pain and clutching his side with his free hand, feeling something warm and sticky trail down his skin.
Amajiki took a few more deep breaths despite the pain and tried to call out again, a little louder this time. “Please…help!” No one seemed to hear him because the voices started to get farther and farther away. “No…please…come back,” his voice cracked as he continued to call out. He could feel his body growing cold despite being entirely covered. Hit with the sudden thought that he was probably going to die there, he wanted to give in, but there was one issue with that.
He didn’t want to die. There was so much left in his life that he wanted to accomplish, so much more he wanted to do.
He grunted and yelled in pain as he moved his body, trying to lift the rubble off of his abdomen. He was able to lift it an inch before his arms became too week, screaming as the concrete slammed back onto him, knocking the wind out of his lungs. He tried activating his quirk, hoping that the food he ate earlier could augment his body into something useful in this situation, but he found that he was too weak to even do that.
A sob escaped his throat as he laid there, feeling himself grow colder and weaker, eyes shutting and breathing coming out more labored. He wanted to take his mind off of the situation, immediately thinking about Mirio, his best friend and partner.
Mirio.
His eyes shot back open when he remembered why he was in this predicament in the first place. Both him and Mirio were called to help when a group of villians began attacking people and destroying a city block. They were able to stop some of them but then...
An explosion.
And they were separated.
But where is Mirio?
Amajiki found a new motivation. He began to yell, not necessarily coherent words but just wanting to make noise, and moving around. He tried to ignore the stabbing pains that only intensified whenever he moved. He could feel the rubble shift above him and a small stream of light entered his vision. He winced back at how bright it was but quickly recovered, shifting so he could fit his hand through the small opening.
He could hear the bustling of people running towards him and felt someone grab his hand. He cried out in pain when he felt them pull but, eventually, the pressure on his body subsided and he was free from the debris. He took a deep gasp of fresh air, lungs protesting at the expansion but the fresh air felt nice.
People were surrounding him, causing his anxiety to spike before his body became weaker again, falling into the arms that pulled him out, who then lifted him and placed him on what he thought was a gurnee. He heard them talking to him but he couldn’t focus on what they were saying, his only thoughts being about Mirio.
“…Mi..rio.” His voice was quiet and talking pained him even more now. A mask was placed over his mouth, sending colds puffs of air to help him breathe better, but he pushed it away and cracked his eyes open. “Mir…io. Whe..re…is..he?” He kept chanting the other’s name and asking his rescuers where his partner was but no body answered.
Amajiki’s head lolled to the side out of exhaustion, vision growing blurry as he drifted into unconsciousness.
Before the blackness took over, he passed by an area where they were lining up the bodies. His eyes caught sight of blonde hair and he heard someone mumble about there being “only one survivor”. A lone tear rolled down his cheeks before he passed out.
There were so many things Amajiki wanted to do. But only one person he wanted to do them with.
