Hey everyone!
I don’t like doing this, but I just wanted to write a very gentle reminder <3 about reader etiquette.
Sending in asks for more parts of a fic is a no no.
Recently, I’ve been receiving multiple asks that demand more parts of one of my fics. I am not mad!!! Far from from it!!! It’s just that… rather than encouraging (which I’m assuming is the intent), it feels sort of discouraging than anything. Writing is something I love to do and do for my own enjoyment, and sharing it with you all is pretty vulnerable already, so when people send in asks, not just to me but to authors in general, asking “Where is part ()⁉️⁉️”, it feels like unnecessary pressure, and worse, it feels invasive, to a certain extent. Writing is something that is created naturally; over time. It is not something to be rushed. We are not robots. Authors aren’t even obligated to give you more parts, so please realize that that is a privilege when we do. For free.
Instead of sending in asks, you know how you’ll get that next part sooner? Likes, as well as reblogging, and commenting!!!!! Preferably reblogs and comments!!!! I can’t stress this enough!!! And when an author does give you more parts (that took time and effort), show your gratitude in the same ways listed above!!! Not in the ask box!!!!!!!
This feels way more appreciative and genuine. When we receive those reblogs and comments, we feel much more compelled and willing to write! The ask box does… the opposite. With that being said, you can still use the ask box if what you’re sending is a, “wow, part () was so good! Keep up the good work!” Or alike, then yes! This is good!!!
Please, we ask you as readers to not send in asks like “Where’s part ()?” or “I need part ().”. The ask box is for questions, concerns, requests (if open), and/or compliments, and nothing else.
Please and thank you <3
- Cupcake xoxo

Arcane-Vagabond’s Collections
Your stop for all things writing related!
✨ My Masterlist
✨ My FAQ!
✨ I currently write female reader-insert fics as well as almost exclusively AUs (Alternate Universes). I try to make my fics as inclusive as possible, but I understand that I will fall short of this at times. The moodboards I make for the heroines of my stories are based off of vibes only, but the reader characters themselves will not have physical attributes save for something like hair length.
✨ I'm a fickle being who writes for many characters. At the moment, you'll find my masterlist is mostly comprised of fics for Jake "Hangman" Seresin from Top Gun Maverick. I've written for other characters as well, and you'll find Dr. Jack Abbot is another character I'm writing for as well. 99.99% of my writing is Alternate Universes, so don't be coming on here and asking me for canon compliant fics because the answer is no.
✨ Writing Updates: I do not currently have a posting schedule. This is mainly because my job/life are pretty hectic and I never know when the mood or time to update will strike me. You'll find I update more regularly during the summer and the time between December and January because of this.
✨ Taglists: I no longer do taglists. If you would like to be notified of when I post fic updates, drabbles, moodboards, or polls, please head over to my sideblog: @arcanevagabond-library and turn on post notifications!
✨ Requests are currently: Closed!
✨ I love talking about things with you all, so please feel free to send in any thoughts/thots, conversations starters, or whatever at any time! I especially love it when it's about my fics!
✨ I happily accept gifs, photos, videos, moodboards, fanart etc., anything that reminds you of one of my fics, AUs, or characters.
✨ I do NOT consent to have my work posted, translated or published to any third party site or app. If anyone sees my work anywhere but here or AO3 under the username sailor_aviator, it has been reposted without my permission.
✨ MINORS DO NOT INTERACT.
I will write: Smut, Fluff, Angst (within reason), light, soft!dark, dark!, AUs (there's not much I won't do), age difference (both adults), threesome, reverse harem, dubcon, consensual non-consent, Dom/Sub, cockwarming, praise, praise and degradation, breeding, chase, power imbalance, choking, knife play, bondage, edging, overstimulation, A/B/O, and I'm sure there's more. Just ask!
I will NOT write: Real Person Fic (RPF), age regression, pedophilia, bestiality, necrophilia, incest, race play, underage scenarios, scat play, piss kink, cheating between "main" couple, accidental pregnancy, miscarriage, Taylor Swift inspired fic.
WHO I'LL WRITE FOR
✨ TGM Characters: Jake "Hangman" Seresin, Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw, Javy "Coyote" Machado, and Mickey "Fanboy" Garcia
✨ Twisters Characters: Tyler Owens and Scott
✨ The Pitt Characters: Jack Abbot, Robby Robinavitch, and Frank Langdon (so far)
✨ Misc. Fandoms: The Boys, Teen Wolf, Supernatural, and more to come!
Happy reading, y'all!

request guidelines

requests = open
this is an overview of my rules and regulations for what you can request and what i will write. please have a quick look through before requesting! it increases your chances of your request being considered and helps us all out 🤍
if you can't find the answer here, check my request guidelines tag or feel free to ask me<3
only requests via my inbox will be considered!
please be specific with your request! it helps with inspiration and with knowing what it is you actually want to achieve. don't just say "more of x character" or "part two please"
check what i have already written – if i have already written for a specific prompt (e.g. b6), then i am less likely to want to write for it again. if you're lucky, you might also find exactly what you're requesting!
on tumblr, i write reader inserts only (for character x character, go to my ao3)
i will write for characters of all genders + polyamorous relationships
poly relationships have to be equal and real relationships — not just everyone dating reader. everyone’s in love with each other and discuss boundaries + healthy dynamics. i will not write “the boys fighting over reader” or anything of that sort
i can write fem!readers, nb!readers or gn!readers (please specify), but not male!readers as i would not be able to do it justice
i will not write specific body types, nationalities, skin colours, etc. and instead attempt to make all my readers neutral – please do tell me if there are any lapses in this!
i will not write: cheating, overt dom/sub dynamics, eating disorders, large age gaps, jealousy, incest, body dysmorphia
i will not write for: snape, dumbledore, lucius, moody, kingsley, etc. + parents of characters i write for
i will not write any golden trio era characters, even as babies
in my mind, there is no homophobia, transphobia, etc. in this universe and i will not write it, especially not explicitly
i am not comfortable writing heteronormative fics (heterosexual is fine)
i can write for certain levels of abuse, mental illness and physical disabilities, but it will be considered on a case-by-case basis:)
angst is fine, but no unhappy endings. all hurt must have comfort, always.
whether i will write more parts or more fics on a specific concept/au depends from fic to fic! send me an ask about it, preferably with what more you want to see<3
please do not send me copy-pasted requests or requests you otherwise send to others! it puts us writers in a really awkward situations where you might be halfway through your fic and someone else posts the exact same story...
no need to apologise or assume your idea is bad!! i love getting your requests, or even just thoughts and ideas. it's a safe space, i will not judge you<33 lots of love
i do not write for lee or paul anymore</3

I think I've figured out the #1 rule of story telling...
Most of the credit has to go to Cardinal West on YouTube, specifically his video essay on Puss In Boots: The Last Wish (TLW). I've literally paused the video to write this.
Towards the end of the video, he begins talking about how TLW follows almost textbook story structure, but the predictability takes nothing away from the experience. He used LOTR as an example, specifically when he introduced his parents to the movies.
His father, after watching part 1 of Fellowship, said he felt like the ring is going to end up in the volcano. Well... yeah. It does. And most of us, even if we went in totally blind like Cardinal's dad, probably figured that out pretty early.
But knowing that didn't ruin it for us. Yeah, we know the ring will be destroyed, but we kept watching because we couldn't stop from wondering what else would be destroyed.
So if you are going to follow any one rule when writing stories, I think it should be this; your audience can know where, but they can't know how.
Tell them the destination, but don't tell them what will be lost to get there.

Are there any rules/guidelines for what ur willing to write? 🤔
Hi anon! 😊 Thanks for asking! I’m pretty flexible with what I write, but I do have a few boundaries and preferences to keep things fun and safe for everyone:
No NSFW with minors (obviously), incest, or non-con/rape.
No heavy gore/torture (light horror is okay, but nothing super graphic).
No hate speech, racism, or anything discriminatory.
I reserve the right to skip any requests that make me uncomfortable, but I’ll always try to let you know if I can’t write something!
If you have a specific request in mind, feel free to send it in! I’m happy to clarify if you’re unsure whether something’s okay. Thanks for respecting my boundaries! 💖

gen's request guidelines / characters and universes
hi everyone :) here are the guidelines for sending in requests to my account! i would love to fulfill as many requests as i can so please take a looksie before you send something in ! i appreciate it, and i appreciate you <3
i write for fem!reader and gn!reader- because i am not aligned with the male gender i feel like i wouldn't be able to do justice to writing for a male!reader
with that being said I will happily write for characters of all genders !
I will not tolerate any kind of homophobia, transphobia or hate speech. please do not bring that shit here.
before sending in a request, please take a look at whether requests are open or not, if you send one in while requests are closed it will not be written until requests are reopened.
i am not super comfortable writing explicit smut, but i'm fine with a suggestive request or two ;)
if you have any questions please feel free to send them to me and ill answer them to the best of my ability!
I have the right to set boundaries at any point in time !
characters/universes i write for:
marauders era
→ pretty much anyone except severus snape, i am also comfortable writing for polyamorous relationships (wolfstar x reader, jegulus x reader, etc)
stranger things
→ eddie munson, steve harrington, robin buckley, nancy wheeler
criminal minds
→ spencer reid, emily prentiss
if you have any questions about universes/characters I might write for then please send them my way !

Why do so many writing guidelines focus on fantasy or science fiction? It's not always about leaving home, fighting a battle, defeating evil. What if it's a contemporary set on a beach? I don't have a point in my story where I defeat a villain and trying to work out what part of my story is the defeating the villain part is hard. I'd love some guidelines that aren't the stages of a fantasy novel.

A must-have websites/apps as a writer list:-
A Beginner's Guide to Writing
I was bored and was procrastinating so I decided to do something useful,
PINTEREST- When you gotta brainstorm, find motivation, or inspiration. You can create character aesthetic boards for your characters and stuff. It's just really really useful.
SPOTIFY- When you have to find inspiration or just create a playlist for your character or your entire book and groove in its vibes. Or just simply have to make your writing session aesthetic.
WATTPAD- It can be effective if you're looking to promote your book by creating or joining a writers' community. You can even potentially create a fanbase.
GRAMMARLY- Yup, the one whose ads you would see on yt a million times a day. But, to be honest, it's actually practical and neat. I used to use Google Docs to write my book before but I shifted to Grammarly and in comparison to Docs, it does give more helpful suggestions than it.
GOOGLE KEEP/ANY KIND OF NOTEPAD- This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT and basic as you need to write down your book ideas for scenes, dialogues, characters, et cetera. I prefer brainstorming in Google Keep because it's far more easily accessible if I don't have my phone though, I still do use my phone's notepad when there's no internet but I make sure to transfer the data later into my keep cs that way there're also less chance of data getting lost or anything.

— 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀! 🍥

𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 ⊹
— tell me the the type of response you want. i can usually figure out what you'll want from the request, but if you're just asking me a question, i may not know if you want me to actually write something big or something simple, like two sentences.
— tell me the gender. if you do not, i will do gender neutral. i write for both fem and gender neutral. i probably will not write for masc readers—if a request can still be done, but with a gender neutral reader, i will do that.
— be patient. keep in mind that i'm still in high school. i might not always have time to respond to things quickly, so don't bombard me with more questions. i will get to you eventually as long as your request followed the rules.
— be specific. explain what you want at least briefly. you don't need to write me an essay—just give me a basic understanding. for example: i probably won't write for mbti personalities if the type is the only thing you state, because they can still be different from person to person, and i'd rather not have to spend a lot of time researching. another addition: please try not to request the reader being like a specific character. you can use it as a baseline, but try to explain the main points of their personality, just in case i don't know what you want.
— try to give me an idea. if you just give me something like 'character x reader who are friends', i don't have much to work with. again, you don't need to write paragraphs, but at least tell me a scenario you have in mind.
— be mindful. i might write someone out of character. i take constructive criticism, but not insults. it might not be exactly how you wanted, sorry.
𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 ➟
— oneshots.
— headcanons.
— series.
— just talks/conversations :)
— music recs.
𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 ❀
— assassination classroom.
— danganronpa: trigger happy havoc.
— danganronpa 2: goodbye despair.
— danganronpa v3: killing harmony.
— danganronpa: despair time.
— genshin impact.
— haikyuu.
— my hero academia.
— project sekai.
— sk8 the infinity.
— the disastrous life of saiki k.
there may be some characters i will not write for. if that happens, i will just delete the request.
𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗿𝗲𝘀 ✭
— fluff.
— romance.
— crack.
— angst. (maybe... i'm not great at it)
𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗱 ✘
— extreme bodily harm.
— abuse of any kind.
— romantic requests for children.
— incest.
— derogatory language towards reader/characters.
— things that are very triggering.
— pure smut.

hi! this is not necessarily a request (yet), but i wanted to check in about something because it's not in your request guidelines. would you be willing/able to write a fic about reader experiencing a loss/grieving? it always comes up around the holidays for me. i've seen you've gone through some losses recently so i immediately thought of you, but if you're the kind of person who feels it's too close to home instead of... idk healing, then that is entirely valid <3
tw: grief, loss
it's my aunt's funeral tomorrow and i won't be able to attend, so this felt like a morbidly perfect time to answer this.
in theory, i am not opposed to writing about loss and grief in any regard. for the most part it's not really a "trigger" for me, so feel free to send me any requests you have and then i'll decide whether i'm fit for that specific idea
however, i will say that my experience with grief and loss is very coloured by my own unique circumstances. (i know everyone's is, but bear with me). i have been hesitant to share fics about chronic illness because i know my experience with it is far from universal, and with loss it is even more so. while no death ever feels "normal" or okay, my losses have almost exclusively been complicated and fucked up lol. i don't know where the boundary for a "lot" of losses go, but with a family whose average lifespan is 48, i reckon i'm up there by now. and none of them have been uniform, the grief has always been different. so i'm unsure of to what extent i would be able to pull off a "generalised" grieving fic the way one would in a reader insert piece. if that makes sense? it's something i will have to think about to "crack the code on" i think.
though, a part of me would most definitely want to, at least for some of my experiences with loss. i know exactly what you mean when you say the holidays are rough, so the thought of writing something up regarding that would be nice.
tldr; yes you can send me requests for grief/loss, but i will have to be selective in careful in what i am comfortable trying to pull off!<3
ps: i would like to warn you right off the bat that the only form of grief/loss that i still actively struggle with/have not completely reconciled with is addiction and overdoses. for now, any requests regarding that will most likely be passed on, unless my beautiful angels possess me with a newfound calm about it lol

I wish they'd make the guideline, show AND tell. You get to tell things (emotions, or the weather) and then describe it (physical feelings, the landscape.) You don't have to do both always, but a balance of showing and telling is better than a lot of showing or a lot of telling.
Example: Mossflower's opening paragraph by Brian Jacques
Tell: "Mossflower lay deep in the grip of midwinter beneath a sky of leaden gray that showed tinges of scarlet and orange on the horizon.
Okay, it's winter. What does winter look like?
Show: A cold mantle of snow draped the landscape, filling ditches, drifting high against hedgerows, making paths invisible, smoothing contours of earth in its white embrace.
Cool, cool, maybe another sentence to remind us we're in a woodland?
Show 2: The gaunt leafless ceiling of Mossflower Wood was penetrated by constant snowfall, which carpeted the sprawling woodland floor, building canopies on evergreen shrubs and bushes.
Lovely, time to move on!
Next paragraph Transition: Winter had muted the earth; the muffled stillness was broken only by a sturdy traveler's paws.
Great! And the next paragraph is about the mouse!
Look, if you can manage a sentence of tell and a sentence of show, most people will be happy. You don't even have to be this descriptive! "It was winter. The sun set in a grey sky. Snow covered everything, falling between the bare branches to the ground. The quiet is broken only by a traveler's paws." Great!
My personal guideline is, if I start "Telling" the audience things, then I have to remember to show it somewhere in the story. Character traits, weather, emotions, it's just like Chekov's gun, you put in there, it has to be used at some point.
Try not to beat yourself up over description. Put down the bare bones if necessary and you can elaborate in a second draft!
"show, don’t tell" is great advice until you’re three pages into describing the weather. sometimes, just tell me it’s raining.

Some personal design notes I made for comics speech bubbles and on dialogue!
Conclusions were drawn from their dialogue sounds and manner of speech in general in addition to my personal flair and interpretation.
And here's an incomplete list of mental notes on actually writing dialogue for characters:
Curly
expresses genuinely what he feels and what he means, though he's reserved and leaves a lot unsaid
casually playful and whimsical when talking to others or commenting on things
smooth talker
speaks delicately and de-escalatory when faced with a stressful situation
using british slang on occasion, yeah?
Anya
often encouraging or reassuring those she talks to
teasing, witty and playful with anyone not named jimmy
stutters when speaking to those named jimmy but outside of that, speaks smoothly with enthusiasm
speaks with implications, basically says iconic deep meaningful shit in a non-direct way
Swansea
mean, harsh, sarcastic and taunting
like anya, he says some deep shit but in a poetic and direct way
reminds me of Disco Elysium dialogue in terms of vibes
speaks grandiosely
" ain't, goin', el capitano, downstairs longnose, hear hear, ol' codger, rumb-a-tumblin' " very fun to write
Daisuke
unfocused, emphasizes words, informal
speaks at the same time as he thinks, most of his dialogue feels like a stream of thoughts
filler words like, totally like everywhere man
Jimmy
dry, spiteful and bitter remarks, always sounds like he's annoyed at everything
no whimsical or heartfelt comments about anything
uses metaphors and veils his words, spinning them in ways to fit his goals. twists his own words as well as others'
steals phrases from others
persuasive
#the writing notes are definitely not guidelines but a just a couple of small stuff i picked up on that guides the words#there's so much more to be said#mouthwashing#mouthwashing game#anya mouthwashing#curly mouthwashing#swansea mouthwashing#jimmy mouthwashing#daisuke mouthwashing#mouthwashing curly#mouthwashing jimmy#mouthwashing anya#mouthwashing daisuke

Guidelines
Please provide a clear summary of what you’d like written, including the type of pairing or themes you’re looking for. Feel free to be as specific or as vague as you'd like, but if you don’t offer much detail, I’ll take creative liberties and interpret it my own way!
For your convenience, you can also include relevant tags or themes to guide the direction of the story. I'm open to almost anything, as long as it doesn’t involve scat, participants under the age of 15, piss, and most improper use of organs/body parts (depends). I have a pretty broad range of interests, so don’t hesitate to get creative!
I don't always write for fandoms! I also write original content that's not part of any fandom. I write what I want, and what people request/commission, if ever!
Please note that responses may take some time, as I have other commitments and am involved in two organizations. While I manage my schedule, feel free to send in multiple requests and wait for your turn!
