Look I’ve only been into wrestling for a month so I probably don’t know my shit all, including what makes a heel a good heel. But I don’t think it’s a good thing that I dislike Liv Morgan’s promos so much that I want to skip entire segments of each show just to not have to sit through her shtick.
No hate to Liv irl/outside kayfabe, and she may have been a really compelling wrestler before now! It’s just that every time I think they’ll have her feud with Rhea refocus on being about their baggage with each other and the belt, «daddy Dom» is dragged back into the center of the feud and always by Liv. Making so much of her current character about having this guy as her boyfriend — the constantly bringing him out, the «Daddy»-nickname, frequently referring to «getting her man» and stealing/winning the boyfriend, her damn Dom-themed tshirts — just feels demeaning. And as if that wasn’t enough new feuds (hi Tiffy, praying you escape this plot) are hinting that they’ll revolve around wanting Liv’s boyfriend as much as her championship title too.
I’d say this was more of a Dom problem than Liv problem if it wasn’t for how her character and writing is given so many opportunities to be expanded upon or her for her threat level to increase, but nothing happens. Raquel came back only to be a silent non-questioning bodyguard who does all the heavy lifting wrestling-wise. Liv hasn’t won a single match/fight in months without interference. So much of her merch and general aesthetic right now directly ties into Dominik and Rhea. This could be decent heel work but alas it prevents anyone else from getting a stab at the title and keeping the real contest between Liv and Rhea — which is still doomed to be about some guy. And even with Rhea on injury-leave and the opportunity to create new feuds for Liv they tease bringing the damn dude into it again.
Whoever is in charge of this storyline I am begging you to keep Dominik’s existence out of at least one full Liv-centered in-ring segment, and to please let Liv win one fight on her own so she at least feels like a capable foe to whoever dethrones her.

i'm obsessed with the (new?) chicago pride flag and it was @punk-o-ween 's idea to use it as inspo for new punk gear and thus this came about :3

As a citizen of the USA, I feel like I don’t have the standing to talk shit about any other government so if CM Punk wants to get his bag from the Saudis then be my guest.

Absolutely disgusting behavior from Matt Massie. The Young Bucks are ruining wrestling and are the most immoral people to ever exist in it.

Having to suffer through Rhea "valet" discourse and having people advocate for the breakup of R + D because they felt like she was too involved with Dominik to having to suffer through people saying that she didn't do enough for him and actually held him back/overshadowed him.

about a post you reblogged/made a few days ago saying 'what are you doing having ptsd about cigarettes'.....unfortunately no one can control what they have ptsd about, and having ptsd about stupid things causes a lot of shame. like for example, having ptsd triggered by garage door sounds, due to the association with an abusive parent coming home. an emoji strongly associated with a specific person someone has ptsd about sounds like it's probably going to be an increasingly common trigger given the amount of emoji-heavy social interaction online that happens now. the more relevant issue is it doesn't matter what someone has ptsd about, if someone's ptsd symptoms are restricting their life or urging them to restrict other people's lives, it's that person's problem to deal with, like an unusual food allergy.
you put that in quotes like i said that. what actually happened was someone wanted the cigarette emoji removed because they had ptsd, not from an event, but from "insidious marketing." Even if they had legitimate ptsd that was triggered by cigarettes it is ridiculous to say that as a reason an emoji should not exist, especially around the wider context of the sanitization of the internet. I've had my own ridiculous triggers which FRANKLY i shouldn't even have to talk about for internet argument points but i would not expect the whole world to ban the thing that triggered me. i dont really understand this ask because you even say at the end its their problem to deal with like a food allergy; people with peanut allergies are not asking for peanuts to be banned from the world.
also again. we are talking about cigarette emoji.

Like, y’all, i’m tired of the tribalism, the hate, and the petty discourse. I just wanna enjoy pro wrestling. Like with all the shit our country (and world) is going through, just let me live my last few years(probably) in the serene bliss of pro wrestling, thanks.

Being a Jey Uso fan on X is not for the weak. The IWC is literally the worst place on the internet and they prove majority of its members are not very intelligent and are very much weird.

I assume it's at least partially the fact that I can curate what I see on here more precisely than other places (somewhat inadvertently) but tbh this is one of the only tolerable places I frequent in terms of wrestling content.
I haven't been to Reddit since their API nonsense, but I'm part of a Discord server from one of the main pro wrestling subreddits. The server is great. I've been told the subreddit has just steadily gone to shit-- and it was becoming unpleasant to deal with the overbearing negativity in a lot of posts.
Twitter is, well, Twitter. I haven't been there in a while either, but there were only a few accounts I really cared about. But largely it's people just shouting about how one company or another is garbage and how Wrestler X should go to Promotion Y.
Instagram is The Worst and I can completely understand why Eddie Kingston turned off commenting on his posts. Everything is fake clickbait posts, drama mongering, and other garbage.
Here? If I want to look for people talking about how cool Swerve is, or how Julia's hats are awesome, it's all right there. If I wanna see someone be unnecessarily (but harmlessly) horny over violence, it's also here. If I want to see people just gush about some aspect of wrestling they love, I can see that.
Is this place perfect? God, no lmao. It's Tumblr. I've been around this site off and on for well over a decade. I'm sure the types of people I hate seeing everywhere else are here too. But they're so much easier to ignore on here. I can just sit here and asexually enjoy beefy dudes in fancy underwear slapping and grappling each other in front of hundreds or thousands of strangers under the pretense of it being combat.

Possibly controversial take but Alexa Bliss should not join the Wyatt Sicks when she comes back, at least not immediately.
From the get go the storyline and point of the group has been to honor the memory of Windham Rotunda/Bray Wyatt and to showcase ‘overlooked’ talent. Adding a member who is as prolific as Alexa can far too easily take away from the point of the group and weaken the story

Can we all just agree that WWE isn't wrestling? Like, can we just call it something else now? That company is so damn embarrassing. Fuck.

CM Punk says he's a "choke artist" on RAW! 😂😂 I can practically hear the AEW fans crying over the utter silence of the crowd since most of the WWE Universe doesn't follow wrestling outside of the 'E! 🤣😂🤣

That the crowd did not really react to this is probably the clearest proof that WWE and AEW serve completely different audiences.
This joke would have killed on Dynamite. The crowd would have chanted "He's a bottom!" for the next minute. John Cena wouldn't be able to show his face without "He's a bottom!" haunting him. When he turns face again, suddenly "He's our bottom!" John Cena would never be able to lie prone and prostrate again in his life

Regarding discourse of any kind: I genuinely do not care about any of it. I see no reason to escalate things, nor be just as bad as them. My time on social media is for ME. I post for ME. If people agree, awesome. If not, cool too. But I refuse to participate in senseless drama because one, it’s not middle school or high school anymore; we’re adults. And two, it ruins MY experience on these apps. Unless the person is a p*do or worse (then escalate to maybe the authorities and warn people), but otherwise, like block, report, ignore. And besides my take on their character isn’t going to fix or change them or the situation.
Make it a better experience for yourself.
