I actually really love later season scooby gang bc rlly it's just what if you and your two best friends went through something terribly traumatic as teenagers, and now everyone else has left because it was a too heavy burden to bear, but you three stayed because you love each other. Except for the tiny problem that you're all now coming to the increasingly unignorable realisation that you all resent each other just a little bit. But there's no one else who can or will ever understand you even half as much. So you stay. And when someone tries to leave you grab them and pull. Because no one is leaving, and no one is growing, because you're all just kind of stuck in your seventeen year old bodies.
